(00:06):
Hey everybody, welcome backto the Covenant Eyes podcast.
We are so glad to have youjoining us today.
We have got two amazing guestsjoining us too.
They're working on a projectthat is very unique,
and I think somethingthat our listeners
will really enjoy.
We have Peter and JenniferEmerson joining us.
Welcome to the podcast.
Thank you very.
Very much.
Now you guys are workingon a film, Hebrews.
(00:27):
All right.
Well, it's atheatrical production called
He Rules the World.
So talk to us about thisbecause it's unique
and it's different.
So let's hear about it.
Very much.
So he Rulesthe World is a concert
telling of.
The nativity. Story.
It is a rock concert.
It is inspired to kind ofon the same, level.
Of what Trans-Siberianorchestra does.
(00:49):
Oh, wow.
That's going to be so much.
So it is a rock concertwith guitar solos.
And a light show and LED wall, but we actually tell.
The storywith He Rules the World.
We actually tell the storyof the birth of Christ
from the prophecies of.
Isaiah all the waythrough the fulfillment.
Of the. Prophecies.
And we do thatwith a five piece band
and five additional.
(01:09):
Singers on. Stage.
Oh my gosh, what inspiredyou guys to create this?
I mean, this is a veryunique idea,
but it sounds amazing.
So I mentioned Trans-Siberianorchestra, and really that.
Was the impetus for me.
Back in 2018, I took.
My daughterto go see Trans-Siberian
and it was great. Great.
So yeah.
Lights and lasers and ledwalls, pyrotechnics,
(01:30):
great big guitar solos.
And the whole timeI'm there, I'm thinking,
this is really good, butoh yeah, I can do that.
And then.
A little bit later I'm like.
Well, I can do that too.
And and theneventually I was like,
why am I not doing this?
And the thing thatstood out to me
the most with that,as much as I.
Really enjoy Trans-Siberianorchestra and.
I do, and I've got asuch a quality.
Product, is that theirChristmas production.
(01:53):
Was only Christmas adjacent.
Yeah.
And it was secularChristmas mostly.
And I was like, well, there should be
something that actually.
Has Christian.
Christmas meaning to it.
That and that's why I wrote.
He Rules the. World.
I love that,and you're so right.
I mean, you go to that.
It's an amazing production.
But it is it's Christmas light.
(02:13):
It doesn't even haveany themes of, you know,
the Christmas story at all.
So oh my goodness.
So you have Kevin Sorboas part of this project.
Is that correct? Yes.
Absolutely. Okay.
So what does he do in thisparticular production?
Well, my wife Jen.
Is our executive producer, okay.
And and I'm the creative sideand she's the she's the business
side and keeps me honest.
(02:34):
But we decided early on thatwe wanted to have in between
the songs.
We wanted to have.
Some narration.
Happening. Okay.
And we wanted to have.
A good Christian.
Solid, Christian.
Person doing thatwith a. Great voice.
Right.
And, and Kevin Sorbocame to mind, and,
We were fortunate.
Enough to.
Be working with a film producerthat.
Put us in touch with him.
(02:55):
That's great.
And he came on. Board.
And, Recordedthe narration for us.
Okay.
And took on an.
Executive producer role.
With us as well.
Wow. Okay.
So Kevin, is is just fantastic.
And, we wrote a narration, that kind of sets up
the songs in betweenmost of the songs,
(03:15):
we have animated.
Portions. Of the show.
Okay.
And so there's animationsetting up what the singing is
going to be about. Okay.
And that's narratedby Kevin Sorbo.
That is so cool.
Well, and what is itlike working together
on a project like this?
That's got to be an incredibleexperience.
I'll let Jen answer this one.
You know. Oh, I love it.
(03:36):
Amazing and complicatedall at the same time.
I mean, as Peter said,I mean, he's very creative
and he's a dreamerand and he's got
a wealth of experienceputting on
productions like this.
I mean, with,you know, coordinating
musicians, coordinating singers.
Yeah.
And my professional backgroundis not in the
entertainment world,but I'm an attorney
(03:56):
and a CPA by trade.
Oh, wow.
And so, you know, he'ssort of the front of the house
that I'm behind the scenes.
And it you know, it.
I mean, God brings togetherpeople with different strengths
because, you know, there'sno point in us in us
both being really goodat the same thing, right?
That nothing gets done right,I love that, yes.
Oh that's incredible.
(04:17):
So, where do peopleget connected with this
and when does it when is it out?
I guess that would bethe next question.
So we are we are working.
On putting.
Together our plansfor future productions.
We just wrapped up a production.
We did five shows in Waco, Texasthis past December.
Okay.
And we did a, we did a private,a.
(04:38):
Performance anda press junket in July.
To, to bring out. To.
Get the word out.
And so we had a lot of media.
That came and covered that.
And that's been great.
So we're we're planningfor the future.
We're not exactly sure what.
The show is going to do.
This year, butbut our hope is to.
To take it on, maybe a ten.
Performance mini tourthis year. Be fun.
(05:00):
So we're still working outthose details.
Nothing to announceon that yet. Okay.
But if people want tobecome involved with us.
And see what we're doing.
You can find. Us on our website, which is He Rules
the World dot. Com.
Okay.
You can listento the entirety of the

(05:20):

So that's that's.
Basically we're on,YouTube as well.
We do have a small.
YouTube presenceand some clips on there
that you can.
Watch. Amazing.

Well, we'll definitelyput all those links in the show
notes for our listenersso they can go check it out.
And hopefully you guys doget back on the road,
because it seems likea really great
(05:40):
Christmas tradition.
If you guys were out thereat that Christmas season,
that way we can be spendingour dollars with,
you know, folksthat are promoting the gospel
and the truth.
And, you know, I likeTrans-Siberian orchestra,
but I'd loveI'd love to spend money
somewhere else.
But, you know, here's my value.
So I love it.
Well, thank youguys for your hard work on this.
I think it sounds delightful.
(06:00):
I know our listeners are goingto really enjoy that.
They love good, wholesome, biblically based content.
So thank youfor your work on that.
