She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the If.comeddies Best Newcomer Award for her show Kindness and Exuberance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also been nominated three times for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. Beyond her career in comedy, Josie co-founded the charity Arts Emergency in 2013, providing mentorship and support to young people impacted by rising tuition fees and arts cuts.
