Do you have difficult people in your life? We all do and sometimes they're staring at us in the mirror.

Join us for a frank discussion on how to deal with difficult people and why we have a responsibility to do so! We use a good deal of scripture in this one, so take some notes and then take some time to study on your own afterwards.

And a note on something we didn't discuss: If you are in an abusive situation or are ...

Happy Father's Day!

We pray that your experience with your dad was good, but we also have to acknowledge that it might not have been. As the saying goes, "Anyone can become a father, but it takes work to be a good dad."

Whatever your experience we pray that God is using that to build the person you are becoming and have become. We hope that God can bring forgiveness and healing to each and every situation.

How does a leadership identify a Church's Needs? What does it look like when a leadership does what they want, rather than what the people need.

We invite you to open your bibles to Ezekiel and listen as Dan discusses the implications of God's observations on the leaders of Israel. Then, we discuss what's going on in local churches that look like this.

The dangers of worshipping tradition, church leaders appeasing the...

We're back!

Join us as we open God's Word and discover His plan for His church!

As Jesus was about to ascend to His Father, he gave a command to his disciples (including us!). "Make disciples..." He told them in Matthew 28:18-20. This is a command of scripture, it is a command of Jesus Christ himself! And yet, according to studies and research by groups like Barna.org, only 1 in 10 Chrisitans are actively involved in discipling others in America today.

Our hope is that Broad Creek will become a ...

This week, Dan and Scott begin a conversation that they will revisit in the future: Misconceptions About Church. Today they will respond to the statement, "I don't have to go to church if I'm a Christian."

Sometimes people will say they don't have to go to church because they can go out in the woods and be in church. Or maybe they have experienced church hurt and are too mad or too afraid to try a church again.

In this episode, Dan and Scott tackle the hard questions concerning the Apocrypha and other extra biblical writings. Why did these books not make it into the more common, Protestant bibles of today? Did the Jewish people recognize these extra books and consider them a part of their sacred writings?  And what about words like deuterocanonical and pseudepigrapha, what do they mean?

These books are sometimes good f...

How long should I pray? Is prayer effective? Does it even matter?

We don't pray because God needs to know about our life, but He does want to hear us talk to Him. And we don't pray because God is a genie who will give me what I want or even, what I think I need.

Prayer is more than that. Join Scott and Dan as they have a conversation about prayer. We pray that this conversation can help you as you walk on your journey...

In this week's podcast, Dan and Scott tackle the topic of forgiveness in response to a question we received.

The question was about a person's past and if they could be forgiven of things they had done, specifically an involvement in paganism.

God's forgiveness through Christ is complete. When we repent of our sin and accept Jesus as our Savior, God takes away our sin, as far as the east is from the west. And if...

We live in a world of ideologies. Christianity stands above other systems of religion and cults in that it's foundation is grounded on the unchanging truth of God's Word.

Many of these ideologies use part of God's Word, but not all. And God's Word cannot be partially used, but must be taken in it's entirety.

Join Scott and Dan as they have a conversation about the dangers of not knowing God's Word. And how this ...

God does not hurt you.

This phrase alone should be enough, but in all honesty, there are many people who believe that God has hurt them when it was really a person who hurt them. Churches throughout history have become famous for hurting people.

And there are some severe cases of church hurt, but for the most part, a few words here or there can make someone put a church in their rear view mirror and they never look ba...

In this episode, Dan and Scott tackle a topic that is asked more than any other, the Rapture.

Basically, the idea of a Rapture is that Jesus will return to earth to gather His followers and take them out of this world. The claim is that Jesus does this to spare His followers the tribulation which many believe is yet to come.

Dan and Scott, along with many other theologians, do not agree with Rapture theology though.&n...
