Ever felt the morning rush sets the wrong tone for your day? I get it. I used to jolt out of bed straight into a whirlwind of caffeine and chaos until I discovered the magic of slowing down. My unscripted solo session takes you through my journey of transforming mornings from manic to meaningful. Picture this: setting your alarm just 15 minutes earlier. That gentle nudge into wakefulness can pivot your entire day. We'll chat about the power of "vision board points" as an alternative to daunting resolutions, aligning your morning routine with the dreams you truly cherish for the New Year.

Curious about what happens when you swap your morning coffee for something different? I’ve dabbled in alternatives inspired by Dr. Andrew Huberman's wisdom, and wow, what a difference it makes! From warm water with lemon to the occasional cold-pressed juice, these simple shifts have revolutionized my mornings. In this episode, you’ll hear about my trial and error process of crafting a routine that resonates with balance and well-being. Join me on this journey of intentional mornings, where small changes set the stage for a harmonious and fulfilling year ahead.

(00:50):
Hey guys, so I'm recording thissolo episode Pretty last minute.
To be honest, it wasn't exactlyplanned and I decided you know
what?
I'm just going to get it outbecause I think a lot of people
these days are trying to planand think of their New Year's
goals and I don't want to callthem resolutions because word is
a bit overused and I thinkwe're kind of over it.
I think a lot of people havestarted to kind of realize that,

(01:13):
you know, a resolution is kindof a really big word to use for
the first day in January.
I think I like to call themmore vision board points or
Haiga along the lines of mydreams.

(01:33):
You know what are your dreamsfor the new year?
One of my incredible followers,I really am so blessed with the
best, best, best audience andcommunity I'm so blessed with
the best, best, best audienceand community asked me to share
with you guys on the questionbox today what is a morning
routine or a couple of morninghabits that I find really
helpful.

(01:53):
And although I'm releasing afull solo on morning routines
soon, I'll share with you guys acouple of things that I found
really, really life-changing,over trial and error of, about,
I want to say, two to threeyears.
So the first thing I reallywant to share with you is to

(02:15):
start your day in the morning bynot jumping out of bed
immediately if you can, notjumping out of bed immediately
if you can, and it's a littlebit of a sort of luxury or I
don't want to call it a luxury, maybe more of a habit that needs

(02:41):
a little bit of time to acquire.
But let's say you have to getout of bed at six, try to put an
alarm for 545.
And just give yourself 15minutes to wake up and kind of
slowly get out of bed.
Even if you have kids guys, even if you have a bus to catch,
whatever it is, the rolling outof bed it really throws off the

(03:05):
day.
That I really think has made abig difference, and I kind of
forced myself to do this.
No matter what time I wake up,I have a very, very, very like
kind of I don't know what tocall it it's a habit of jumping
and that sudden jolt out of bedit really kind of starts the day

(03:32):
off on a bit of a shaky orcrazy or eccentric note.
The second thing that I find assuch a useful drinking something
that is not coffee the firstthing in the morning and for

(03:52):
those aliens or this point doesnot apply to you then you are
super lucky.
But also I need to know how, like, can you guys comment on
any of my posts and let me know, like, how is it that you don't
do coffee?
I love a good coffee, I love agood matcha, and lately I've

(04:15):
been loving a dirty matcha whichis a coffee matcha maabad, but
it's a life hack.
Uh, you're gonna have to staytuned for our new season because
I have a guest that's gonnatell us all about this.
Um, so, yeah, I mean anythingother than coffee.
First thing, warm water withlemon, just warm water, just
water, just, let's say, a teajuice.

(04:40):
I mean cold pressed.
I have a good coffee first thingin the morning and then after
an hour, hour and a half or so,you can have your coffee.
And the reason I say this I gotthis habit from Dr Andrew
Huberman and I love his podcast.
It's a life-changing podcast.
But the thing about this habitis that it really really makes a

(05:05):
big difference.
That wake up and chug thecoffee vibe is a really
aggressive way to kickstart yourbody and your system and your
digestion, according to him, andit really does not serve you.
So I think a better way to doit honestly is to pick anything

(05:28):
else, have anything else in yoursystem best case scenario, a
little bit of food, a date ortwo, something like that and
then go ahead and enjoy yourcoffee.
The third thing is, as morninghabits that I really enjoy is
something that I used to, I'mlike what are you saying?

(05:49):
Why would this make adifference, etc.
But the third thing is, if youcan and I think and hopefully
everyone can grab your hot drinkthat you make and let's say at
this point it is your coffee andtake a 15 minute walk outside
in the sun in the morning and ifyou have a baby, put your baby

(06:11):
in the stroller.
If you have a dog, take the dog.
If you don't have either, likemyself, you take yourself and
you take a walk, guys, and itdoesn't need to be a fast walk.
A date makes a difference, thedays that I do this from the
days I don't, because it's nightand day, and it just allows you

(06:33):
to set your circadian rhythm, maybe plan the day, set a couple
of goals, get your headstraight, and it's just an
incredible way to start the day, better, in my opinion, than any
early morning workout.
Okay, so those are three thingsso far, which is, you know,

(06:56):
don't jump out of bed in themorning, try to take your time
anything before coffee and thenenjoy your coffee or whatever
caffeine of choice you like, andthe morning walk.
These three habits I would liketo call the trifecta, which is a

(07:19):
word that I love and I wouldhave loved to have come up with
it.
They are literally lifechangers.
And the only thing I would addto this, because I want to keep
it realistic, like I don't wantto go into the 20-25am routine
and all that because, yeah, I dodo that sometimes, at least
once a week, as you guys know, but it's not for everyone, so I

(07:41):
want to make it really, reallyrealistic.
Last thing is get yourself likea gratitude journal or your
notes or any journal, and try tojot down or think, or say out
loud or pray or whatever threethings you're grateful for.
And this is one that comes inand out of my life.

(08:06):
It's not a constant, but everyday I try to really think about
it, but it is a life changer.
I mean, this one is really alife changer, especially on the
days where you think, oh my God,nothing is really happening or
going right or wrong or whatever.

(08:26):
I think it has so much impactand it's not a cliche, it's not
oversaid or exaggerated, it'snot any of those things I've
tried and tested and trulyreally believe in this one.
And you guys know, on thecuration, we do not share
anything that I haven't reallyreally tried, nothing that I
don't believe in, nothing.
That isn't the best ofpractices for you guys.

(08:48):
So that's my trifecta plus one.
Well, I hope this was useful.
Please send me any otherquestions that you have
regarding evening routine.
Maybe next I can do that andthere will be a detailed morning
routine drop um coming soon tothe new season of the curation.

(09:08):
So thank you for listening guys, and talk to you guys soon.
Bye.
