Green's leader Adam Bandt has conceded defeat in his seat
of Melbourne after a close contest from Labour candidate Sarah Whitty.

the Greens quote has a big future. It is a

to keep growing. The tight race comes after the Greens
lost two seats in Queensland at Saturday's federal election. However,

on to all eleven seats and increased its vote share.
Counting is continuing across many other close contests around the country,
including in Bradfield and Kuyong.

Two men have been found guilty of the murder of
fifteen year old Cassius Turvey, a Nunga Yamajee boy from Perth.
Jack Breeley and Brody Palmer were convicted of murder in
WA's Supreme Court today. A third man, Mitchell Fourth, has
been found guilty of manslaughter, while a fourth suspect was
acquitted of all charges. Cassius was walking home from school

viciously beaten by a group of men. The teenager died
after several days in hospital.

Global weight loss company weight Watchers, has filed for bankruptcy
in the US after sixty two years as a diet
and health platform, weight Watches, which rebranded to WW in
recent years, confirmed in a statement it will transition into
a telehealth provider. The company said it has voluntarily initiated
bankruptcy proceedings in a US court to clear over a

billion dollar debt. WW Internationals said it will remain fully
operational with no impact to members as it evolves in
what it called a rapidly evolving weight management landscape. It
comes as injectable weight loss treatments like ozampic continue to
surge in popularity.

And today's good news for critically endangered African penguin chicks
that hatched in January have enjoyed their first swim at
a US aquarium. The quartet were born in Connecticut as
part of a global breeding and conservation program for African penguins.
According to conservationists. The penguins found in waters of southern

Africa once numbered in the millions. Today wild population estimates
are approximately thirteen thousand breeding pairs, with the population declining
by ninety seven percent, mainly due to a scarcity of
prey fish. However, doctor Allison Tuttle, chief zoological officer at
Mystic Aquarium, said seeing the chicks thrive is incredibly rewarding.

The aquarium said the chicks have shown quote remarkable growth
and represent hope for the future of their species.
