with new results emerging in some key seats. Liberal candidate
Tim Wilson has edged a head of incumbent Independent MP
Zoe Daniel, who on Saturday night delivered a victory speech.
At the time of recording, Wilson is ahead by three
hundred and thirty four votes, with about twenty percent of

votes still to be counted. Meanwhile, fellow Independent MP doctor
Monique Ryan, who also delivered a victory speech on Saturday night,
has maintained a small lead in front of Liberal candidate
Emelia Hamer. Elsewhere, Labour looks set to retain the electorate
of Wills after a close battle with the Greens. The
seat of Melbourne, which has been held by Green's leader

New Zealand's Prime Minister Christopher Luxen wants to implement an
Australian style social media ban for under sixteen year olds.
Luxon announced draft legislation that would force social media companies
to verify users age or risk being fined up to
two million New Zealand dollars for non compliance. The proposal
is modeled on Australian laws which passed parliament here in November.

Luxon said the move was about protecting children and quote
making sure social media companies are playing their role in
keeping our kids safe. New Zealand's opposition leader Chris Hipkins
told a local radio station, this is a conversation we
need to have as a country. The Australians have been
courageous and tackled it. I think New Zealand needs to

Russian officials claim Ukrainian air strikes have forced the closure
of all major airports in the country's capital, Moscow. Following
a second night of bombardment. The city's mayor set up
at least nineteen Ukrainian drones had been destroyed before they
were able to reach Moscow. Four major airports in the
city were shut down for several hours as a precaution,
but have since been reopened. Meanwhile, officials in Ukraine's Odessa

region said Russian strikes in the Kiev area overnight killed

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski accused Russia of refusing to take real,

species has risen to record high numbers in New South Wales.
Little Turns are tiny sea birds that travel thousands of
kilometers to nest on Australian shaws every spring. During their
latest breeding season, the New South Wales National Parks and
Wildlife Service counted more than nine hundred Little urn nests,

the second highest number in twenty four years. Conservationists estimate
at least four hundred and eighty five breeding pairs resulted
in some five hundred and ten fledglings. It's the highest
count of Little turn chicks ever recorded, and a substantial
jump from last year's figure of around three hundred and seventy,
