Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, guys? How are you happy? Saturday?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Welcome in to another episode of the Daily Juice podcast.
My name is Matt Perralta. I'm your host for this
three hundred and sixty five day, fifteen ten to fifteen
minute podcast that's always being brought to you my friends
at Draftings. Okay, good to get back in the winning column.
After Monday win, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday loss, Friday win. We
get there. Kevin Durant and Booker lit up the scoreboard.

(00:39):
They scored one hundred and thirty four points in themselves,
suns easily over against the Jads. The Nebraska Cornhouskers hammered
Indiana at home. We get those two bets right. Philadelphia
got worked by Indiana. That was the bad bet of
the day. But at two in one mark we go
up point nine units, which pushs us right there.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
For a winning week if we're able to.

Speaker 2 (00:59):

Speaker 1 (01:54):
All right, let's start with Army Navy. I have been
to this game.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
The pageantry, the history, the rivalry, It's all beautiful. This
is an unbelievable game. This game has been an underplay
since I started betting twenty years ago. Okay, this week
this year, hold on thirty nine and a half or

(02:19):
forty thirty nine and a half. Interesting. These teams generally
play under games versus each other. However, Navy scores thirty
point six points per game. Army scores thirty two point
one points per game. They're both in the top forty
for offense. Now, Army's defense is good, just fifteen point

(02:41):
seven points per game, that's six best. Navies isn't bad,
twenty three point four points per game. That's still top fifty.
Against the run. Defensively, Army gives up three point nine
yards per rush with obviously triple option is a big deal.
Four point five yards per rush giving up for Navy.
Navy gives up seven yards per pay play. Army ten
point seven yards per pass play is number one in

(03:05):
all of college football. But don't sleep on Navy. Their
nine yards per pass play is sixth best in college football.
Both Army and Navy this year have been way more
on the overside than in years past. Navy is seven
and four to the over, Army is seven and five
to the over. Maybe is three and three on the road.

(03:29):
Army is three and two on the road. But you
look at some of their you know, two lane went
under for Navy, But Navy scored thirty five points in
that game against Tulane. Army scored thirty five points in
that game, and they gave up fourteen points. That's why
their game went over. But you know, Navy didn't give
any points. East Carolina total was fifty three and a

(03:53):
half for Army went over by nineteen and a half points.
They won the game forty five. Twenty eight, Navy played
all so against East Carolina. They scored thirty four points
thirty four and they gave up twenty fifty four and
a half. It didn't cover on the hook, but it
got right there the fifty four and a half. This
total is thirty nine and a half guys thirty nine

(04:16):
and a half. Against UAB, Navy scored forty one points.
Army scored forty four points. I know everyone says Army Navy,
military academies bet the under, automatic bet.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
To the under. No, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
This game's being played in DC, not being played in
Philadelphia like it normally does. I'm going over. I'm gonna
say offenses rule here, Army Navy. I always bet the under.
I said it last night, Army Navy under, right, And
then I thought about it and looked at the numbers
and went, no, I know Navy's gone under for the
last five games. I'll give that to you. But Navy

(04:52):
has been scoring in every game except the Rice game.
Twenty eight thirty five and well, I guess they gave
up thirty five points. Sorry, they lost that game thirty
five nothing right to two lane. Yeah, they lost that
game through it. Sorry, I got that wrong. They didn't
win that game. They lost that get they had blanked.
But East Carolina they scored thirty four points the next week,
thirty four zero, twenty eight and ten points. But thirty

(05:14):
four points, fifty one points, forty one points, fifty six points,
thirty eight points, forty nine points. These are Navy offense.
Army has been great. Army has been flying over this year.
But they scored thirty five and twenty nine in the
last two weeks. They gave up forty nine a Notre Dame.
But you know this is a team that has offensive firepower.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
They will throw the football.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Navy can score, Army can score. Let's go with fumbles,
turnovers and over points over thirty and a half Army
and Navy for one point one units. Bet Number two.
The Creighton Blue Jays are on the road for their
first true road game of the year up against Alabama.
So we're gonna fade Creighton right first game on the road.

(05:58):
The numbers eleven and a half, like hold on a
second eleven and a half. Okay, so here's a couple
of interesting things. The Blue Jays are going to face.
An Alabama team is missing one of their best players
who rupted his achilles tenant. He's out for the entire year,

(06:21):
so that's going to be interesting. Latrell wrightzel good player
from Omaha, was recruited by Preston Murphy, who was on
coach Greg mcderman's staff when all of that scandal broke out.
The fall guy there was Preston Murphy.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Where did he go? Alabama? Okay, he's a good recruiter Alabama.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
How Creighton fairs in their first true road game is
a very big, big indicator as to how the year
is going to go. The Jays are seven and seven
straight up under Greg mcderman in their first true road
game of the season. When the Jays have one their
first true road game on the road, first two road game,

(07:04):
they've made the tournament. Every year when they have lost,
they have gone to the They've missed the tournament four
of six years when they have lost. Now, when there
was a postseason, they had a COVID year situation that
came in there last year for the Jays. They played
against Oklahoma State and they won the game seventy nine

(07:26):
to sixty five on the road, and they made the
tournament against Texas, number two team in the country. They
lost seventy two to sixty seven. I think the Jays
are gonna lose this game, but I'm really surprised at
the number. Eleven and a half. Kem Pom has this
as an eleven point win for Alabama. But Alabama at

(07:46):
home hasn't been killing people. They're four and five against
the number. Overall, they're one in two against the number
at home. They covered against nc Asheville as twenty seven
and a half point favorites. They won by fifty six.
But against Arkansas State they laid twenty five one by nine.
Against McNee State they laid seventeen and a half.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
They won by eight.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Then they went on the road and lost to Purdue
outright in the first true road game. Then they went
to Vegas. They played Illinois, Houston, and Rutgers or I
guess sorry. They played neutral with Illinois in Birmingham. They
won that game by thirteen. They laid eight and a half.
They won my thirteen in Birmingham, and then they played
against Houston, won by five, Rutgers laying eleven and a half,

(08:28):
one by five. They laid six and a half against Oregon,
they lost outright. Dane Almon, former coach of the creaton
Blue Jays. You don't think Greg mcdermot's going to watch
the way coach Altman attacked them. Then they played against
North Carolina on the road and housed Carolina. I was
on Carolina, so maybe I'm dead wrong in Alabama. And
this is one of those we had this with Duke

(08:50):
where I was like, okay with Kansas and Duke, if
Ku didn't cover, they won the game outright. But if
k you didn't cover and Duke cost me more money,
I was like, okay, no more games. If the if
Alabama wins this game by fifteen points, I'll just stop
betting against Alabama. But the Jays are three to zero
against Alabama in their history, and Greg McDermott normally will

(09:15):
slow down a team like in Alabama, who is eighth
in average possession length. The Jays are one hundred and
twenty third. Jays like to play fast, but when their
opponent has the advantage for playing fast, they're gonna slow
it down Without pop Isaacs either. I think Bama also
meannythink Creighton also looks to slow the tempo down, not

(09:36):
get into a track meet here. At all the Jays
shooting threes this year one hundred and sixty second, that's
not good. Alabama's defense is great against the three twentieth,
but the Jays are fifth best in two point shooting
because of Ryan Cockbrenner, who is going to be an
issue on the interior here for a guard heavy team.

(09:56):
And Granton Nelson is six', eleven but he's a post,
Player he's a. Wing he wants to. Shoot krocbutter is
gonna get into the, lane AND i think you could
have a big game. HERE i Think Ryan kalckpuer could
be the, key as long as he stays out of
foul trouble and as long As Steven Asher ashworth can
hit threes and keep you, know Get jackson mc andrew
some looks so.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
He could hit threes as.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
WELL i think they keep the game. CLOSE i Think
alabama wins the. Game but give me the eleven and
a half. POINTS i think this is too many. POINTS
i Just jay's losing, fine losing getting. Destroyed if this
was six or. SEVEN i would be all Over. Alabama
eleven and a half just seems to be too.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Heavy i'll take a.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Shot it's, ugly it may be, risky But i'm taking a.
Shot i'm going with the dog. Here Creighton Blue jays
plus eleven and a half on the road At, alabama
that game on THE sec network with an eight Thirty
eastern time. Tip and, Finally arizona is on the. Road,
Sorry arizona is At phoenix semi neutral up Against. Ucla

(10:59):
it'll be a heavily artists In arizona. Crowd so we
look at the, Numbers you're, Like, Okay ucla at home
is a dead.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Under six and one to the. Under but they're not at.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
HOME i, mean technically they're the home team here for,
THIS i, Guess but, No arizon's four to oh away from.
Home this, Year arizona played where did they play on
a neutral this in a similar? Arena they played up
Against oklahoma right in that, game, Yeah, oklahoma and they

(11:32):
lost the game outright eighty two seventy. Seven then they
lost To West virginia in overtime eighty three seventy, six
not being a good start to the. Year four losses For,
arizona but seventy five to seventy four is the projection.
Here i'll win Against ucla is the projection for The.
Wildcats it's one forty. Nine total of this game is
one forty, seven mostly because, well who they're Playing, ucla

(11:54):
a team that wants to slow down the tempo. Dramatically
arizona's offense is sixth in average possesion LINE ucla is
one hundred and fifty. Third they want to burn the,
clock they want to run it. Down but three point
shooting has been bad For. Arizona two hundred and thirty.
Seventh two point percent is a little better one hundred and.
Twelve but they get a ton of offensive. Rebounds they've

(12:16):
been good with offensive, efficiency and as long as they
keep the tempo up and push tempo On, Ucla ucla can.
SCORE i, mean they're not outstanding at, it but they're
not horrible. Either last game on the road Against, oregon
they won seventy three seventy. One the game went over
by six and a half. Points at won thirty seven
and a. Half so this is the first quote unquote

(12:38):
like they had a neutral game Against New, Mexico but
this is a hostile environment FOR. Ucla they've not played
a true road game. Yet we'll watch that and we'll
Fade ucla when they do play a true road. Game
but four games in a row have gone over For,
arizona three of them on, neutral one at, home by
twenty two and a, half four and a, half seven
and a, half and nine and a. Half they've scored

(13:00):
one hundred and, two seventy, six seventy, seven and one
hundred and four in the last four, games and they've
given up seventy, one eighty, two eighty three and sixty.
SIX i THINK ucla can score seventy points. Here if they,
do this game is gonna go. Over it's always dangerous
to bet overs INVOLVING, ucla But i'm gonna do. It
i'm gonna bet the over ON ucla And. Arizona so

(13:23):
three plays FOR us here on A. Saturday Army navy
over thirty nine and a.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Half that's.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Scary Creighton Blue jays on the, road first true road
game Against alabama plus eleven and a, half that's. Scary
Arizona ucla over one forty Seven anti bet over WITH,
ucla that's. Scary that's a scary card fade away if you.
Want but that's just looking at numbers and playing thoughts

(13:48):
and somewhat gut plays on this on A, saturday going
against kind of the common thought as to what people will,
Think oh, no that's a bad.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Play, okay maybe it, is maybe it's. Not we'll figure
it out later on.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Today, remember no live chat, today only one college football.
Game we'll like to bring that back probably next week
for the college football, playoffs maybe for a quickie conversation On.
Saturday But i'll give you more details on that coming
up later on in the. Week but nothing here today
on A. Saturday for. Me Mine's Matt Perult famagos all
socials at sports Dooc. Matt every morning it's The Deal
