Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, guys?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
How are you welcome into a Friday morning episode of
the Daily Juice podcast. My name is Matt Perolt. You
guys can follow me across all of my socials and
welcome to the second half of the Major League Baseball season.
So nothing yesterday. We couldn't recap anything because there was
nothing to bet. We gave you football plays, college football plays.
If you missed it because there was no sports to bets,
(00:35):
you didn't watch the Juice or listen to the Jews yesterday,
go back and listen to the college football futures that
I gave out yesterday on the Thursday episode of the
Daily Juice podcast. Here on a Friday, I've got three
bets for us going today in two Major League Baseball
player props. Now full disclosure, You might want to go
(00:56):
lightly here, or you might want to shrink your unit size.
Who was on vacation a little bit too hard? Who
got jet lag? Who came back late? Who didn't touch
a bet? Who didn't touch a ball? Sometimes it's good
to get away, sometimes it messes everything up. So while
I'm gonna bet the streaks and I'm gonna bet the trends,
be careful today just full disclosure. Today sometimes can be
(01:20):
kind of wonky, so nothing to recap, but three plays
and two player props coming on the Betting Pros app.
Download the Betting Pros app and search at sportstok Matt.
If you have the app, search at sportstock.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Matt and follow me.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I'll post two player props on there somewhere around ten
or eleven o'clock in the morning Eastern And if you
are going to the desktop, it's Bettingpros dot com slash
Matt at sportstok Matt on the app Bettingpros dot com
slash Matt to jump in for the desktop. Before we
give you the three plays for today, let's remind you
about what we're giving away here today. It's the signed

(02:16):
comment and you are in for the ball giveaway. A
little bit later on in the month of August. All right,
let's start with the Red Sox. I'm wearing a Red
Sox hat. Let's go straight homer here. This is the
first day of the game. MLB Network has this two
twenty Eastern time. Lucasgilito against Colin Ray. Lucasglito has been
tremendous for the Red Sox on the road, a one
(02:38):
point nine to five ERA, a three to zero record,
a one to eighty opposing batting average, eight earned runs,
and thirty seven innings worth of work. And he's been great.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Recently.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
The Red Sox have won three straight games in blowout
fashion with Lucasgielito on the mount. Does that continue after
the break with the Red Sox, who have won ten
straight games? Maybe ten to eleven to fifteen to one.
Those are the scores of the last three starts for
lucasgi Alito one on one at home, two sorry, one
(03:08):
at on the road, two at home for the Red Sox,
but on the road Gelto has been very very good.
Colin Ray is not a bad pitcher by any means.
For the Cubs. He's seven and three with a three
point nine to one ERA overall at Wrigley though four
point one three ERA, three and two record and a
two sixty five oposing batting average. Eleven home runs given
(03:33):
up at Wrigley to a Red Sox lineup that can
hit home runs and has hit a ton of home runs.
I'm gonna bet the streak here. I get plus money
on the Red Sox. I get plus one fifteen on
the Red Sox with g Aledo on the road. You
can bet run line either for this, because I mean,
I think, I think if Boston wins, I think they're
(03:54):
probably win by more than one run. But it's plus
money just on the money line. So why push our
luck Red Sox money line to win their eleventh consecutive
game and to keep the ball rolling in the right
direction for Lucas gi Alito with the way he is
pitching six and one with a three point three six ERA.
This is the first matchup between the Red Sox and
(04:16):
the Cubs so far here in the regular season at
Wrigley Field. The weather's gonna be decent seventy two degrees,
not very breezy. Total for the game is eight and
a half. It's towards the under. I would lean towards
the over for Red Sox Cubs. If you don't like
betting the Red Sox, you want the Cubs at home
on the money line. I think the over is a
good play as well, but we'll take the Red Sox
(04:38):
at plus money at plus one point fifteen for one
unit today. Second bet, let's stay in the American League East.
But let's go to the Toronto Blue Jays and their
home game up against the Giants. In Justin Verlander Verlanders
zero to seven with a four point seven.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Zero ERA on the road. He is thera is five.
He's zero in two.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
He's given up seventeen earned in thirty innings worth of work,
thirteen to nothing, eleven to two, five to two, four
to two, four to two. Those are five losses in
the last five games started by Justin Verlander with the Giants.
And it's also a five and zero record on the
(05:23):
run line. If you want to bet run line today.
I don't mind that play at all up against the Giants.
My only problem with it in Toronto scores at home, Okay.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I like it. My only issue with it is Chris Bassett.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
It's plus one fifty five on the run line when
that happens. That tends to tell me the books are
expecting this to be a one run game because Chris
Bassett has been tremendous. Chris Bassett at home a two
point eight one ERA. He's six and oh at home
a two fifty nine opposing batting average, eighteen earned in
(06:00):
fifty seven and two third innings worth of work.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
He lost. The team lost.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
His last start, he went one inning against the A's
on the thirteenth of July before the All Star break,
only went one inning, but before that six to one win,
eight to five win against Chicago, the White Sox and
the Yankees, he went six innings, one earned run, five
and two thirds three earned runs. I'm gonna take Toronto
(06:27):
on the money line. Run line is not a bad idea,
but I'm gonna take on the money line simply because
I'm worried. I wonder if the books know something here
when it comes to laying one and a half runs.
I'm gonna stay off of that and just take money
line because it's only minus one.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Thirty here for the Blue Jays.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Toronto minus one thirty on the money line for one
point three units. And finally we go to the Padres
in their game against the Nationals. Michael Soroka is pitching,
and oh my gosh, Michael Soroka at home era is
five point six seven a one in four record, seventeen
earned in twenty seven innings worth of work, and get
(07:07):
a load of these final scores. Six games in a
row started by Soroka have been lost by the Washington Nationals.
The final scores eight to one, eleven to two, eight
to two, thirteen to seven, ten to six, and four
to three. Five games in a row have gone run line.
Six games in a row for losses. Michael Soroka has
(07:30):
not been good at home against the Red Sox. Last start,
four innings, seven earned runs, rockies before that, six innings,
three earned runs. He's pitched really poorly on the road,
but not great at home either. Been lit up at home.
We have Dylan Cees for the Padres going on the road.
(07:51):
His ERA is not good. Six point twenty seven oh
in six record, two seventy opposing batting average, thirty six
earned runs in fifty one in two thirds inning worth
of work, three straight losses in four of five.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
But this is a team.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
I got a little hunch here, Okay, I got a
little hunch I what the Padres are gonna do after
the All Star break. The Padres need to get going
and this is the perfect opponent for them to go
ahead and do this too. This is exactly what you
would want if you're the Padres. You want to start
off with the Washington Nationals ten six, four to three,
one nothing the final scores. Padres have won four to
(08:29):
three and one nothing. That's won the first game ten
to six. So we don't have a run line win
yet for the Padres up against the Washington Nationals. Both
these teams are underwater in their current format eighteen and
twenty eight Nationals at home, Padres twenty one and twenty six.
They're just too good. Padre is just too good here.
(08:51):
I have plus one zh five, I get plus money
on the run line. I'm gonna take a shot Padres
on the run line to win by more than one
run up against the Washington Nationals and Michael Soroka. So
are plays for today as we welcome sports back Red
Sox moneyline for one unit at plus one fifteen, Toronto
(09:11):
moneyline at MIUS one thirty for one point three units
and the Padres on the run line at plus one
oh five for one unit. Like I mentioned, two major
League Baseball player props will hit you coming up on
the Betting prosapp and Bettingpros dot com slash Matt a
little bit later on today, Welcome back Baseball.
