Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, guys? How are you welcome into a Thursday
morning episode of the Daily Juice podcast. My name is
Matt Perrault. You guys can follow me across all of
my socials at Sports Talk Matt. And we are back
after a one and two night not great. Celtics do
not get there for us, scored fifty we wanted over
fifty seven and a half, so we missed on that.
(00:35):
We got the hockey bet right. Baseball did not come
in for us unfortunately. So it's a one and two
night for me here, one and two, down one point
two to four units on the day for us, So
we are down just a little bit now for the week,
but not a ton so winning day here today and
everything is good. I'm sure some of you are running
(00:58):
to this YouTube video audio to listen to me talk
about the Celtics. I gotta be honest, I didn't watch it,
and I know you're gonna go what. So there's a
lot going on in my life at the moment, and
it's not happening with me, but happening with people around
me and people that I care a great deal about,
and so sports last night didn't matter, and so I
(01:20):
got a bunch of people who are text messaging me
and like, you know, wanting me to comment on the
Knicks come from behind victory again, Boston blowing at twenty
point lead. But sometimes the universe will show you things,
and sometimes the universe will say put things in the
right perspective.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
And yesterday was one of those days.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
So when I'm at Liberty to explain, I'll tell you, guys,
I'll explain what's going on, but I can't at the moment,
So just understand that that's why you're not gonna hear me. Go.
I have not seen the second half yet. I'll go
back and watch it, but I have not seen it.
I saw the final score, but once it got to
halftime and I realized that Bustin wasn't going to get
(02:01):
to fifty eight points, it was I had other stuff
going on last night, so I really, I mean, being
down oh two, it's crazy. But both Boston and Cleveland
both being down two, losing both games at home. Do
either one of those make the Eastern Conference Finals? I mean,
the numbers have been pretty much stapled that it was
(02:21):
going to be Cleveland and Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals,
And well, we very well might have an Indiana New
York Knicks final, and the OKC Thunder must be the
happiest people on the planet because they woke up and
they annihilated the Nuggets last night like they were supposed to.
They look like they're going to be able to win
their series. And then I don't really care who's on
(02:44):
the other side. If OKC plays like they did tonight
last night, they're going to be in the NBA Finals.
And if they're playing Indiana or New York in the
NBA Finals, oh my gosh, what's that number? Minus one thousand?
I mean they're minus they were minus eight twenty against
the Nuggets. What are they against the Knicks or the Pacers? Okay, see,
(03:08):
it is going to be just a monster favorite. The
NBA will not be will not be happy. They like
New York being in because you get the New York
media market, but nobody else will watch that. I mean,
that'll be Thunder Nicks final in the NBA Finals. Oh boy,
that that won't be great. But we're along away from that.
But let's see what happens. I mean, Boston obviously, Game
(03:31):
three is a must win. They're favored by five. Same
thing for Cleveland. They're favored by what five or six?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Right? What is what is Cleveland favored?
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Uh? Tomorrow night for their their game three. Cleveland is
on Friday. They are two and a half point favorites. Okay,
ce is four and a half. Boston played on Saturday,
which is actually really a big break for the Celtics
to take some time to try to figure out what
the hell is going on in the second half blowing
(04:04):
twenty point leads, because going to the going to the Knicks,
going to New York, that's gonna be fun. It's gonna
be a hell of an environment. Boston better be ready
because that's gonna be loud and tough. And Boston's won
two games already this year at MSG, gonna need to
win two more. They need to win Game three in
(04:24):
Game four. Same thing can be said for Cleveland going
on the road to Indiana, but that game opened up
as a pick quickly bet to Cleveland minus two and
a half. So both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston
Celtics backs against the wall. But Boston does get the
extra rest, which is pretty big here for them to
to figure out. After losing again ninety one to ninety
last night to the New York Knicks. Before I give
(04:46):
you the picks for today, let me tell you about
the offer we got going on still right now for

Speaker 2 (05:27):
All right.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
From a baseball perspective, I hit this yesterday. I've been
hitting it consistently. It was a snow out for one
of the games. There's a double header tonight happening in
Colorado because of the snow out, and it happened to
the sleet out, rain out, whatever you want to call it.
In the first game between the Tigers and the Rockies.
(05:48):
I want game one of the doubleheader today, no game two.
I want game one. Casey Mize goes to the mound
for the Tigers. Casey Mize has a five to one
record and a two point seven zero ER. He's won
his last three starts. He's given up four earn runs,
one earn run in one earned run over.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
His last three starts.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
He went seven five and a third in seven innings
worth of work again five and one, four and one
over his last five and he's been pitching very, very
well on the road as well as at home. Casey
Maies has been pretty good. It's been better at home,
but not horrible on the road for Casey Miies. Opposing
betting average of two twenty four. Like the Tigers to
(06:28):
get a win here today, up against Kyle Freeland, who
is zero and four with a five point seven zero ERA.
Kyle Freelan's back to being Freeland day. If you guys
remember that we used to fade him like crazy with
the Rockies, We're back to doing so at home. Kyle
Freeland has an ERA of eight point five to three.
He's zero in two with an opposing batting average of
three fifty six at the moment, We'll take the Tigers
(06:52):
on the money line, and we will pair them up again,
going and fading whoever's playing Colorado. We're taking the Tigers
and then going on on either side and fading whoever
is going to be playing the other worst team in baseball,
and that's the Chicago White Sox. Davis Martin against Chris Bubick.
Bubick's a heavy favorite case he's at home. They're a
(07:13):
bigger favorite than the Tigers are. Davis Martin's one in
three with a three point five to two ERA, not horrible.
But Bubick is three and two with a one point
nine to eight ERA. He has been absolutely tremendous at home.
He's got a one point nine to three ER. He
is one in one, but opposing betting average of one
ninety one for the Royals starter just one home run
(07:37):
giving up so far at Kaufman eighteen and two third
innings worth of work. Just thirteen hits and four earned
runs given up for Chris Bubick. Money line Royals, money
line Tigers. A little al Central money line parlay is
plus one point fifteen one unit.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Jumping in on that.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Here today for us two high lucky plays to throw
at you here. I'm not gonna bet NBA Basketball because
I don't know what to do with the number in
game bet Golden State in Minnesota. I need a much
lower number than ten and a half to lay it
with the t Wolves. I think they do win, but
I'm gonna wait. I'm not laying that pre flop with
(08:17):
Minnesota in Golden State, but I will come in and
take the Vegas Golden Knights to win their game here
in game number two of their best of seven series.
I understand that the Oilers have won five straight games
after trailing in the playoffs, first team ever to do that.
Vegas just blew in the postseason their first ever two
(08:39):
goal lead in Game number one. They're going to be
ferociously mad. We had the stars last night to get
a W. It was the only bet we got right
last night. We're gonna come back and take the Golden
Knights here to even up the series at one game apiece.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
They were up to nothing. They gave up four straight goals.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
The third period is going to be the most important
thing to watch four because I believe it's seventeen goals
now in the third period in the playoffs for the Oilers,
they are just a closing team. Gotta be careful if
you're Vegas, Gotta play better at home, if you're Vegas,
gotta be better in the third period, if you are Vegas.
For a team that win twenty nine to nine and
(09:17):
three at home this year, camplow two goal leads to
teams like Edmonton Vegas money line to win this game
here today at minus one point twenty eight for one
point two eight units, and then we're gonna go to
the Hurricanes and the Capitols and the total is five
and a half. The first game was two to one.
(09:37):
I don't think we're gonna see a really different type
of game here in game number two. We know that
Frederick Anderson for Carolina is really a strong goaltender and
can pretty much handle whatever the Capitals throw at them,
as long as we're not dealing with a ton of
power plays for Washington, I think Anderson's gonna keep going
here with a guy who has a sub one point
(09:59):
five goals against average in his last five starts in
the playoffs, he's four and one of those five starts.
And then Logan Thompson is just gonna get hit with
a thousand bucks, like that's just what this team does.
They shoot like crazy. But he gave up two goals,
and the goal he gave up in overtime was not
his fault. It was just a deflection. It was a
(10:20):
weird shot that bounced redirection went behind him. He's been tremendous.
His goals against average is just a little bit over
two through six starts in the playoffs. I think Logan
Thompson plays well tonight. I think Frederick Anderson plays well
Tonight's we're gonna play under five and a half for
Washington in Carolina. I think we'll see a very similar
game to Game two that we saw in game number one.
(10:42):
So three bets for us here on a Thursday, Vegas
money line at minus one twenty eight to beat the Oilers,
Royals and the Tigers Game one money line parlay at
plus one point fifteen for one unit, and the under
five and a half for Washington in Caroline in Game
two at minus one oh two for them here in
(11:04):
their best of seven series. My name is Matt Parolt.
