Speaker 1 (00:14):

Speaker 2 (00:15):
How are you welcome into another episode of the Daily

My name is Matt Peroult.

a hockey bet right to save my life, we bet
(00:40):
the over six final score one nothing Vegas. Aiden Hill
was great against Edmonton, but Skinner was really good too,
so that was a bummer. We had the right goaltenders,
but not the right game, won nothing to win, so
that unfortunately killed the day because we went one in one.
College basketball, Villanova outright wins at home in a big
(01:05):
performance for them against the top fifteen rank Cincinnati team.
Wisconsin loses at home to Michigan, so we lost one
point one there and we laid the extra juice on
the VGK over six am I one thirty. So unfortunately
with the player props, we went to and two on
the NBA player Props got a little plus money on
one of them, so we.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Were up just barely there.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
So three and three night, down one point twenty five
units on the day, so that puts us down a
little less than a unit for the week. So nothing serious.
It's you know, it's Wednesday. We've got plenty of time
to have a winning week here as we start the
month of December. So good things coming today. If you're
a college basketball fan, there are so many good games.
(01:48):
If you want to take a crazy flyer bet, the
Creighton Blue Jays are home against Kansas. The fact that
Kansas is playing at Creighton University is insane, like insane.
Kansas would never soil themselves, never you know, tarnish their
image by playing at lowly Creighton, but they are, so
(02:08):
this environment is going to be wacko. I would take
the points with the Jays. I mean that building, it's
going to be electric. Even after what happened here in Vegas,
you know, losing two of the three games.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Steven Ashworth is back. He played in two of the
three games.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Didn't play in the first game, in which they looked
awful against San Diego State. But we got a big
man matchup tonight. It's gonna be a lot of fun.
Got a lot of history and a lot of big
brother little brother type stuff going on. If you want
something fun, take the Jays. Heck, even take the Jay's
money line tonight to beat Ku. I don't think it'll happen,
but it's one of those games where it's like the
(02:46):
environment could play such a big part in how the
game goes, because the Jays haven't had a team like
Kansas go in to Chai Center. I've been watching Creighton
basketball for twenty years. The fact that the Kansas Jayhawks
are in Omaha tonight, oh my unbelievable, crazy, crazy game.
(03:07):
But that won't be an official play tonight. Just pointing
out how many good basketball games we have. I do
have plays though, on the top three games in my
opinion going on tonight in college basketball outside of the
creat and Blue Jays hosting Kansas. But first, let me
tell you about our friends at Omaha Steaks. They are
(03:27):
back once again. Nothing delivers comfort and joy quite like
the unrivaled quality and taste of Omaha Steaks.

Minimum purchase may be required. Okay, let's start with number
(04:24):
one Auburn according to kempom against number four Duke. According
to kempom, the number is Duke minus two. According to Kenpom,
this is a two point win for Duke. These two teams,
I mean, this is awesome. Bruce Pearl taking his team
to take on Duke. They're going to Cameron Indoor This
(04:45):
game's on ESPN at nine to fifteen Eastern time. This
environment is going to be crazy. You have the number
one offensive efficient team in basketball in Auburn against the
number one defensive team efficiency in Duke. You have the
number three offensive effective field goal percentage in Auburn the
(05:08):
number four defensive effective field goal percentage in Duke. We
have the number one two point shooting team in basketball
in Auburn and the number three defensive two point shooting
team in Duke. Crazy, I mean crazy, strength on strength.
So where does it get separated? Well, Duke's offense Duke
(05:31):
is twenty second. Efficiency on offense, Auburn is eighth. Effective
field goal percentage Duke is fifty third. Defensive effective field
goal percentage defense Auburn is forty first three point percentage.
Auburn defensively is two hundred and fifteenth. You can hit threes.
They don't give up offensive rebounds, but you can hit
(05:53):
threes on them, and that could be a problem here,
as Cooper flagging Company may get loose. Look, I've not
been good with Duke. I told you guys before I
got the Duke bet right finally, or I would not
bet Duke anymore. I was like, I'm not betting Duke
anymore here, and we took Kansas plus three and a
half and Kansas won the game outright.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I was wrong on Kentucky. That was on a neutral.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
This game is at Cameron Indoor, Auburn going to Cameron.
You don't see this very often from an SEC school
going on the road, true road game to Cameron Indoor.
If you don't have experience in this building, I'm sorry.
Give me Duke. Okay, give me Duke. The rebounding is
a big question mark here in this game. I can't
(06:39):
wait to watch it and see it. But Duke has
been very good of keeping teams off the glass this year.
They're twenty third in the country defensively and giving up
offensive rebounds, not giving up offensive rebounds. And on the
flip side, Duke's been pretty good at gribing offensive rebounds
for them. Obviously, Cooper Flag needs to be great. Obviously
Knouble needs to hit a bunch of threes for them
(07:00):
here tonight. But I mean, I can't wait to watch
this game. Auburn Duke is so good. I'll lay the
two points Duke minus two at home at Cameron Indoor
up against Auburn bet number two, and this is the
game that will proceed right before it. Alabama out of
the SEC on the road at North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
According to Kempom, it's a two point win for North Carolina.
The line is minus two for North Carolina. Strength on
strength once again here on this because Alabama's offense is
third in efficiency, UNC's defense is sixty fifth in efficiency,
sixty third ineffective field goal percentage for Alabama, one hundred
(07:48):
and seventy six for North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
That's not great.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Alabama plays fast fourteenth in average time fifteen point one
seconds North Carolina. On offense, they play faster fourteen point four.
Efficiency on offense sixth for North Carolina, fifty third for Alabama. Defensively,
if you want to play the over in this game,
(08:13):
I don't think it's a bad play at all. The
only problem that I see a while playing the over,
it's one seventy five in a college basketball game. One
p seventy five is absolutely outrageous.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I don't think I.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Can remember a higher a higher total in college basketball
in a regular season one seventy five, one seventy five
and a half. North Carolina is six and one to
the over. This year, Alabama is four to three and one,
but away from home they're four and one.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
The only game that went under for North.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Carolina was when they played Auburn over in Hawaii, and
that game went under by eleven points. The game against Oregon,
the game that North Alabama lost in the championship game
of the Players Era here in Vegas, the game went
under by a point and a half. It was one
sixty five and a half eighty three eighty one the final. Okay, Previously, Rutgers, Houston, Illinois,
(09:15):
Purdue all flew over for Alabama. North Carolina plays fast.
Alabama plays fast. One seventy five. Are you kidding me?
I can't play it. So that's why I'm just gonna
go ahead and follow kempom on this. I think Carolina
at home at the Dean Smith Center. Again for Alabama,
this is a tough spot for them, having to go
(09:37):
on the road after they come back from Vegas where
they beat Houston in an overtime game. They beat Rutgers
by five in a hard fought game, and they lost
to Oregon eighty three eighty one on Saturday. They then
have to go right to North Carolina in a true
road game, and their other true road game against Purdue.
They lost the game eighty seven to seventy eight. It
(09:59):
is a harder place to play in Chapel Hill than
it is and Produe is a hard place to play.
I'm not knocking Purdue produce hard places to play, but
Carolina is equally hard, if not harder, to go down
there and play. And if you're not ready for it,
boyoh boy, oh boy.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
They have the.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Creighton Blue Jays at home on Saturday. This is a
really tough spot of the schedule. It gets much easier
for Alabama after the Creighton game. They played North Dakota,
Kent State, and South Dakota State before starting SEC play.
I think Carolina gets him here Carolina minus two for
(10:32):
one point one units and finally we go to Ames, Iowa.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
This game on ESPN Plus.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
It is the number seventh ranked Ken Palm team in
Iowa State hosting the number nine ranked team in Marquette
Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State fresh off their trip to Maui
where they lost to Auburn and then beat Dayton and
then beat Colorado. They had a big lead against Auburn
and they melted huge lead Great eight Learning Experience.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
This is t J.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Ozenberger against Shaka Smart. Amazingly enough, the total for this
game is actually pretty high, and I thought about betting
the under in this game. But the reason why I'm
not gonna bet the under in this game is because
something tells me that Iowa State's.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Gonna get going here.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
They're owing three at home, three and oh to the
under Iowa State, but that's because they played Mississipi Valley State,
Kansas City, and Iupui, so not forty four fifty six
fifty two.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
They scored a ton. Iowa State is scoring this year.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
They're scoring a lot of points, so I'm concerned about
playing the under in this game. Seventy nine to seventy
four projection five point number. According to kempom, the number
is five Iowa State minus five Iowa State. You's shooting
the ball pretty well this year. They're seventh in two
point shooting in the country. They're one hundred and fifty
eighth and three point shooting. But they're getting better they
(11:59):
were and they've warmed up from behind the arc. In Maui,
they're twenty seventh in effective field goal percentage. They're fourth
in adjusted efficiency on offense. Can't bet an under with that,
even with Marquette's defense being sixth in efficiency and shaka smart,
I can't do it. I just I can't bring myself
because Iowa State's at home. Hilton Maggot's magic is real,
(12:20):
and I would say defense has been pretty good this year,
but not outstanding. One hundred and thirteenth in three point defense,
one hundred and forty sixth and two point defense. They're
one hundred and twenty second in effective field goal percentage.
They're thirteenth in efficiency defensively, So I would lean towards
the under in the game. But I think Iowa State's
(12:40):
going to have too much here. I think Hilton magic.
I think the length of Iowa State is going to
come into play here. Lipsey running the point for them,
I think is going to be awesome. I love Cam Jones,
He's tremendous for Marquette, But I just think there's too
much talent, too much size, and too much length here
for Iowa State. In speed, I think we'll look to
(13:01):
play fast here, go up tempo. Both these teams play
fast for that matter. Twelfth in average possession length for Marquette,
twenty first in Iowa State. Another reason why the under
is a difficult game to bet, difficult play to make
here for this one. Even though the first move on
the number was one fifty two and a half, it's
been bet down to one fifty one and a half,
So the first number, first move came to the under.
(13:22):
I'll take allai the five. Iowa State minus five up
against Marquette. I think they're just gonna have too much
at home for Marquette here. I don't think this is
gonna be a fun number. This is gonna be a
sweat Okay, We're gonna be sweating free throws at the
end of this game. Try to see if they can
cover this. But I think Iowa State we'll get the
job done at home. I'll lay the five. I'll follow
kem Palms projection and lay the five. All right, So
(13:43):
three bets in college basketball going here for today, all favorites.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Chalky is always a very scary situation.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Duke minus two at home against Auburn, Iowa State minus
five at home against Marquette in North Carolina minus two
at home against Alabama. Awesome night of watching college basketball
here tonight for us, And if you want extra you
can take the points with the J's at home home
teams in December. It's a thing, guys betting on home
(14:11):
teams in December.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I like doing it. I'll continue to do it.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
