Speaker 1 (00:08):
Swung on belted right field and that one is gone
deep into the lower seats in right field, and Max
Kepler have a knight sixteen home run of the season.
He's driven in five runs tonight and the belly's now.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Leaded ten to two. Oh, you know what. I love
the crack of the bat. And Franski too.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
We talked about this a couple of weeks ago with
Greg Murphy when we did a baseball brunch and I go,
Franski's got a call. He's got something, and he says
belted or no, it's blasted or belted. Now, I said
to Murphy, I go, it's he's got a call. He's

(00:53):
got something and it's blasted, and he goes. He also
says belted and he goes. You know, Scott, we talk
about a tiny tiny He's like he never wants to
be known for that stuff. And and like Fransky's so cool.
He comes off so cool. I've never met him, but
like love Love when he's on the television call love
it great. On radio, I don't get the opportunity to
listen too much on radio, but love when he's in

(01:15):
the booth.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Anyways, just listen to this swung on belt it right,
give it to me, swung on, belt it right field,
and that one.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Is yeah, so good, belted blasted, and that's the thing.
He also Murphy was like, you gotta remember too, that's
not an easy call, uh, to just jump out of
your seat and say it, because you can't get that wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
But he's like, we have been so lucky with Schwarber Harper,
like there are ones that when you can just say it.
And of course Max Kepler that one last night too
as well.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Anyways, tonight's round four Mets Phillies, since this is Bank
Park is where we're dropped up in the pen. Minus
one thirty two for hayesus Lzardo plus one oh eight
Phillies went in tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Sam, Yeah, I think they closed out the suite. I
dig it, I dig it all right.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Staying in the world of college football, if you would
not mind a couple more to close up shop here
once again, more college football discussion coming up here at
five o'clock.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Shortly Vandy South Carolina. You got a opinion on this.
I love South Carolina, Oh love South Carolina.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
There's a lot of Vanderbilt hype going forty five in
the first two games. Why do you like South Carolina,
But that was not against great competition. I mean, this
lower Sellers has been awesome, and even against South Carolina State,
they started off slow and then they dominated late in
that game. Last Saturday, Leonora Sellers has been awesome. I mean,
one of the best quarterbacks in the country, a true

(02:45):
Heisman contender. Can take this South Carolina team to the playoff,
and this Vanderbilt defense is not equipped to to stop
them and contain them.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
And the other part is coming into the Euro.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
I was concerned about South Carolina's defensive front because they
lost a couple guys to the NFL, and Dylan Stewart's
still there, so they still got great pass rushers, but
they lost a couple guys the NFL, so I was
a little concerned that they might not be as good defensively.
They've been dominant, dominant defensively start this season, including in
their opening game against Virginia Tech, who I'm not a
Virginia Tech fan at all, but they only they held

(03:17):
Virginia Tech to eleven points on a neutral field.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
So this South Carolina defense has been impressive and I
think they're gonna slow down Vanderbilt's offense. Vanderbilt's not coming
out and scoring forty plus at home South Carolina's home opener,
both of their first SEC competitions of the year gave
me South Carolina my four and a half.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
It is interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
It's down to three and a half now, wow. Yeah,
and opened at five and a half. So it's moving
the way I wouldn't want it. I wanted to go,
so I can bet it at the best number. But
it's moving away where a lot of people are on Vanderbilt,
which is interesting.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, it is very interesting. We'll see what happens as
far as that one is concerned. That's definitely gonna catch
a lot of attention. So that's in the late window
there on Saturday night. You know what's an also under
the radar game, maybe not for the diehard college football fans,
but an under the radar late night kick ten thirty pm.
We're heading out to Berkeley, Cal in Minnesota. Have you

(04:12):
seen this quarterback for Cal, the Cal kid?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I have not. No, I haven't lost a lot Cal
this year.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
This kid has a rifle and he's got a last
name that I'm not even gonna attempt to pronounce.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
So that's why I'm just got him the Calkid.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
He is incredible, and they are two and a half
point dogs.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
The PJ.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Fleck and his Minnesota squad, which is pretty good so
far this year, great program, so on and so forth.
But if that kid is hitting his numbers, hitting his mark,
I think they're a live dog at home. Plus two
and a half plus one twenty on the money line,
but definitely point blank put the spread the side. Don't
bet on it. Just tune in. This kid is musty TV.
He's incredible. He's got a fastball, dude. The ball comes

(04:53):
out of his hand faster than any ball I've seen
throwing this year quarterback wise.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
What NFL college included of college only college college?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Wow, Easily the hardest throwing ball I've seen at the
collegiate level this year as far as quarterback is concerned.
Absolute rifle. But a very fun game. Hopefully that will
be a fun game there. All right, before we get
out of here, just one more at the college level,
and we've hit on a ton. As I said, the
Sikos are coming up, all right, Yeah, I gotta go

(05:21):
one here seventeen and a half South Florida. Do you
think they keep it close against Miami.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, I do, I do.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I mean, look, they have the best resume in the country,
Like they dominated Boise State. I'll see the team that
a lot of people thought could get back to the
Collegetball playoff in Boise State, and then of course they
pick up the upset win over Florida. Who I'm Billy
Napier's lease is like, he's the longest lease in the country. Well,
you guys on a perpetual hot seat and done. They
have a really tough stretch coming up.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah, he's done. Done mid season.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
It's a different world with the nil and there is
a lot of truth behind that, right, Like, I just
don't see them firing them just for the sake of
firing them. You gotta finish the season out. It's not
beneficial to just remove him, right, Like.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
We'll look at their schedule coming up, like it's ugly, ugly,
And we should talk about this game too.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
This is a good game. Florida, LSU. We didn't talk
about it. Who you got? I got Florida. Oh so
you're gonna think they keep it close? Plus eight was
a wounded dog. Wounded dogs, not a six and a half.
It's moving that much.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah, under a touchdown the wounded dog in the Gators
traveled to LSU, and uh is it six and a
half or seven and a half?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
The seven? Seven?

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Seven?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
I thought I saw six and a half, all right,
but that's all right seven? Same difference?

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, seven right now? Flat here on DK MIST one
ten minus.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Two seventy eight for the money line Florida plus two
twenty five for Florida.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Do you think Florida goes in death allion win. I
don't think they win, but they keep.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
This is a huge game for both coaches, right because
LSU's battle to make the colgor Bable playoff if they lose,
this is really uphill.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
And if barn Kelly.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Doesn't make the colatorre Ball playoff this year with a
top transfer class with a Heisman level quarterback, I mean
fans are gonna me clamoring for his job and whole
certainly be on the hot seat, and billion Napier might
be fired tomorrow if they get dominated. But when you
look at Florida's stretch coming up, and they got LSU
then Miami, then Texas then Texas A and m that
is a tough four game stretch against four top twenty

(07:15):
ranked opponents, So somehow he would probably have to win
three games to even keep his job, or after that
stretch in like a month and a half when that's
all settled down. So I think this Florida team comes
out and plays well on the road just because of
what happened last week. But Billion Napier is certainly not.
He's on the hot seat. He should be, but he

(07:35):
shouldn't even keep his job past halfway him. The same
thing happened last year, right, they were upset early last year,
they were disappointing, got off to an awful start.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Everyone said Billionapy's gonna be fired this week. Now it's
next week.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
And then he kept his job and then got they
finished the season really well, and their final month and
a half of the season they started playing really good football,
and he kept his job into this year.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
It now was just repeating in the cycle. True, one
big difference from last year. I know you know that.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
But of course they brought on Lagway, put Lagway in,
had some success, he got hurt, and he got Lagway there,
if I'm not mistaken, So you almost want to keep him.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
And I'm telling.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
You the nil deal is a whole game changer because
if you have to put all this money up for
both football and basketball, and now you've got to pay
a coach out forty million dollars whatever it is to
buy him out. I don't know if billion Napier is
up on that level, but still a lot of these
coaches are.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
You know, Lincoln Riley was seventy million dollars. No on
Lincoln Rally's a.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Different stratosphere than Billionaper, but still, like, you can't just
waste that money.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
So you know that's the Kelen de boris shue, because
what do you do with Kelen Debora after this fire
him his bout seventy million? You can't like you come,
but what do you do with him after this year?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
He did? These Alabama people? I mean, see the problem
is obviously he's not Nick Sapan. It's as similar to
Coyle Neptune villain.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
The problem sports radio collars to the Fine Bomb the show.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
That's the issue.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
He got guys giving themselves names like legend and they're
the ones that are have an impact on this stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
No, but like it's not just crazy Alabama fans.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
The guy's disappointed in this and in his couple of
years there and forgetting their one year.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Okay, they're not gonna make the cosgeball playoff this year either.
They lost one game, yeah, a game they were twenty
point favorites.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
They bounced back last week they played much better effort, right.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
I get it, And they got Wisconsant without Billy Edwards
this week, so as twenty point favorites again, So they
better win this week.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
But then they have a tough SEC schedule. What's their
record this year? How many losses? Probably three losses and
they just missed the collegetball playoff. Again, that's not good enough. No,
it's not good enough if you're Alabama, if you're following
next sabit the case. Yeah, but that's the thing. It's
like every fan.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
I mean, we're gonna look at a ninety five to
one hundred percent poll of the fans wanting him fired
after this year. But how do you do that with
a seventy million dollars buy it?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, it's a great question. He's Sam Ostrie.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
He knows a thing or two about it, think or
two about all these games, whether it's football, basketball. You
can find him at the score, you can find them
on socials at s os htr y.

Speaker 2 (10:02):

Penn State. I'm feeling it. Give me the Cats. Wouldn't
it be? How amazing would it be? Cats?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
When Cats? When Cats?

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Ryan Fannin would literally faint on air, He would fall
out of his seat, faint on air, call the game lying.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
On his back.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Oh my god, it would be best win in v
football history.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
They were lost in Penn State football history.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Penn State catching some some shrapnel their way.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Man, because they haven't played it. Oh, haven't played it.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
But yeah, we'll see if it impacts them against Oregon
Week five.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Welcome to the college football season.
