Speaker 1 (00:57):
Perfect segue perfectly and as we were just playing. You
can't hear it, but it was take me out to
the ball game some I guy Brandon who is uh,
I don't know his official title. It's been with the
Philadelphuni forever.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's like the head trainer, training staff guy. He's not
like a doctor trainer.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
But like you need a new kit, new jersey, short spikes, whatever,
he's the guy to go to.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
And it was just great to catch up. But I
haven't seen him forever, so again in Phildelphi Union, kick
him on and taking names.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Philadelphia Sports on top of the world, baby, speaking of
the world.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
This sub Flamenco team in the red Brazil.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Okay, one of the biggest teams in the world, the
top fifteen club I'm told from Brazil.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Didn't know and they won and they won. Well, I
love the hair.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
He's got the red hair and everything Brazil in the house.
Let's go now. It's funny because you got fans of
soccer all over you know, the United States that would
be cheering for Chelsea, would be cheering for man City,
Manchester United all that. I don't know if anybody from

(02:15):
Philadelphia is a fan of a team from Brazil.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Unless they are from somewhere else first originally.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, I guess, but Brazil, I bet you it. That'd
be a fun place to go to.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
There's a lot of the young kids raced.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
And I don't know if you would agree or not,
but a lot of young kids are fans of players
now as opposed to teams Lebron fans, KDI fans and
wherever they go they are fans, and there's nothing wrong
with That's awesome. But maybe I don't know who's the
big star on that team. That would be a reason
why someone from maybe not that area.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I do love the kickstar or the kits. Excuse me,
I like the color scheme very nice. I would just
say that, Yeah, I'm not familiar with anything as far
as their French eyes their club is concerned. But to
your point, I would say, you know, like the messy
the Ronaldos, that like started the trend as far as
like kids coming up caring less about the club more

(03:13):
about the player. One humble opinion, but it's been uh, Look,
we're ready for the World Cup next year. Philadelphia does soccer. Look,
I've never been anywhere else in as far as the
United States is concerned though, but Philly does to a
point of like caring about soccer. Like I was down
in North Carolina. I don't care about something, Okay, not
in those days.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Now they do, they're opped.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
But phil you said you didn't leave the United States.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
No, Philadelphia does an awesome job for alting soccer, and
I think we should be better a little bit.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
More as far as the Union are concerned, supporting them.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
But in golf, and they're bringing the All Star Game.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Here next year twenty twenty six. Everybody wants to be here.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I just hope we make it. Just hope we make it.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Can I bring up something that probably isn't all that positive.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
So there is a.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
New documentary out that I just watched last night, two
nights in a row.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Took me to get through it.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
And it's a gut punch and we'll hit this real
quick because we're having fun here.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
But I do want to put this out there.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
People need to watch that Ohio State documentary, which I
believe it is.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
It's surviving. I hope it's not the name of it.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
It's a team.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
It was the wrestling team. It was more than that
it was more than that.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Dude, it is insane what took place at Ohio State. Now,
you've heard things about this for the past. Surviving Ohio
State is the name of it.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
So we've heard about this doctor and this wrestling team deal.
It's been in the headlines for years now, specifically because
there is an outspoken Republican Congressman, Jim Jordan that was
a bad as wrestler, which I didn't know. I didn't
know any of this, so I never put stock into this.

(05:07):
I just thought it was something in the timeline that
people are making a big deal about. But of course
it's been investigated. Whatever, dude, this is.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
This is if not just as bad, it's worse than
Penn State.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Really, San Dusky, Joe Paterno, this is unbelievable because it
was a doctor who saw everybody from the fencing team
to the football players to the hockey players too, and
like you would think, oh man, how could somebody sexually
assault some of these big wrestling dudes that are not

(05:39):
Watch that movie and you'll see how, and then your
heart bleeds, like it hurts for these guys who are
grown ass men now crying on camera about what took
place twenty twenty five years ago, and how Ohio State
now was operating it is unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Sounds familiar to Larry Nassar.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
That's brought up same thing.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
It's it's the same world, and it's like, you know
because that and that's the reason why those guys came
out because of what took place with NASA, and they
were like, yo, this is exactly what they went through.
Because again you get this doctor. Everybody trusts the doctor.
He's looking at your daughter position. Unbelievable, unbelievable, blood boiling.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Bro I you just hope, like, look, man, what's going
on with the case. No, it's still going through. They're
they're appealing.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
It's Supreme Court didn't want to see it, but now
it's still taking place in Ohio. They don't want to
pay out a certain number. I think the victims of
Michigan and Penn State were taken care of over like
one million each. Ohio State I think was affering two
fifty thousand dollars. It's it's a sad scene, man, But
you get these big ass grown men that are just

(06:50):
like reviewing everything and being honest and like it's insane.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
What they're going through.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
It is a it's if I could say it both ways,
it's a fantas watch with a hard watch.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Sure, well done, Yeah, very well done. You're right about that.
All right? Moving on? Also, did you see Titan as
far as on Netflix? Are you watching Netflix? Though?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
No?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
I literally just watch baseball every night.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I watch the Phillies and then after that all the
West Coast games.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I'm boring, dude, It's just literally what I do.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
All right, Well, then let's talk a little West Coast
rivalry right now. Yes, yeah, Chippy love when the bench
is empty. I love when the bullpens run out there
for no reason. But it felt like there was a
reason last night. Insane to be able to watch that.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
This is the kind of.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Stuff though, that I think helps get people involved. And
I'm not advocating for players getting hurt and throwing at people,
but in baseball, there's a correct way to get retaliation.
And I thought the Padres up to yesterday before that
did it the right way. When they hit Choyotani ninety
four in the leg below the belt, that's how you
get it back.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I thought it was done. After that, it was like
you got our guy, We got your guy, we're done.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
It was not done. Padres ended up getting to win.
That's the most important thing. But man, this rivalry is
the best in baseball. You gotta stay up to watch
these games. Even if you don't, your timeline is flooded
with the highlights the next day.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
It's it helps people you care about it. We're not
from the West Coast, but we care about this.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
If you love baseball, you love these superstars to super Machado, Tatis,
oh Tani.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Betts, we're all the superstar power fighting.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
They care. So yeah, it's it's just fun to watch.
I mean, who doesn't love a good rivalry. There's not
too many in sports.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Anymore that mean anything.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
No, you're right, and I know that.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I was trying to build this up the other day, saying, like,
as far as the best rivalry in baseball, and I
think that you know, nothing like what could eventually top
the Yankees and Red Sox, right like, even if they're bad,
you know, like I guess maybe nobody would care, but
it feels like people are always gonna put that on
a pedestal, and rightfully so, the history and everything that's

(09:03):
build up, and it delivers, even though like those games
that they just swept the Yankees. They were still pretty
good games. Yeah, you got Judge out there, of course
he's a unicorn. But how do you get to that level? Well,
of course you got to have two teams fighting for success,
and you got them the Dodgers and Padres. Everybody hates
the Dodgers. Now nobody wants to see the Dodgers. Anybody

(09:24):
but the Dodger or the Evil Empire. And then you
give us some fireworks.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Well, and it's been culminating over the last four to
five years. You're relevant, I mean, the n West is
a very relevant, very good baseball team or on good division.
I mean, you got these two teams, even the Giants.
Giants just acquired Devers. Yeah, so that's very exciting.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
It is the time. It is the history when you
can look back. That's why you.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Would say Mets Phillies now is getting a little bit
exciting because you got these two teams that are that
are playing meaningful baseball. They don't like each other. The
location too, we're close. We're close to New York, we're
close to Philly. They're in the same state. They're only
ninety miles away from each other. Whatever, it is so
the location of the teams. There's some fans here, some

(10:07):
fans there. So it just takes time, history and a
little blood, sweat and tears.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Look, we've had plenty of history between these two teams,
right The Mets fans travel well. I don't know if
I could say the same. I don't feel like Phillies
fans are like dying. They go up the city field, rightfully,
So I do understand it's a commitment to get there. Sure,
it is a kick in the groin to get to
city field.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
If you tell me public transportation, I'm already out.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Well, no, I wouldn't say.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
No, I am, I'm out.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, that's definitely number one. I'm not doing that either.
But the thing about New York.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Is once you get into Manhattan, then it takes you
another hour and ten minutes to get through Manhattan to
Queen Gridlock.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
It is terrible, dude.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I once went to a Mets game up there.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It was a playoff game against the Cardinals, and Corey
Little crashed his plane into a too A building and died.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I was there that day. It happened unbelievable. City was
shut down. Yeah, couldn't even get to the game.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Then it poured and they canceled the game, and I
drove all the way up there for a playoff game.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
With some friends. Ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Cal Rawley went yard in the game against Yeah, best
catcher in baseball, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
He just passed Johnny Bench on something. I didn't get
a chance to look at it. I saw the notification.
Passed Johnny Bench on some kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
He's got more home runs than Aaron Judges. Yeah, he's
leading the league and home runs.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Very hard to do that from a catcher as well,
who's behind the plate every day, grinding on your legs.
It's a very taxing and tolling. It takes a toll
on your body. So shout out cal Rally.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Good for him.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Also, great name, like a Star Wars name.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah. Yeah, he's the man right now, crushing it cal Raley.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
All right, let's talk a little bit more about the
Mets and Phillies, and I once again minus one ninety
nine for Wheeler tonight.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
I'm looking at Trey Turner. Yeah, Tray's my guy tonight.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Trey's been hot. He's been hitting three hundred on the season.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Not enough, not enough set about him. Not enough set
about him right now. He's not the number one All
Star as far as vote. Get our Francisco Lindora, as
we understand, it's got the New York appeal. But he
is having a better season. Dare I say he's having
the best season at shortstop across the league?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Got the kid from Oakland that's doing or from.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Sacramento, Vegas, whatever you want to say, he's doing well.
But other than that, Trey Turner is the best short
stop in baseball.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
And he hits for power too.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Is his ops is skyrocketed, which has been great to see.
And again, brace this is all happening without Bryce Harper.
These players, Kyle Schwarber twelfth highest ops in all of baseball.
He's he's just crushing the baseball. And then you get
production from Bom, you're getting it from Turner. So it's
just it's it's really exciting and he should be on

(12:44):
the All Star team.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Coming up here in July.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
All right, once again we are live from Xfinity Live. Chef.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I am going to get my daughter in law and
my father in law do it up here. Let's go,
let's go. They're calling, They're being summoned up here.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
These are my boys.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
This is a father Father's Day present tonight and we
are going to the game tonight. Yes, thank you powers
the beautiful, beautiful all right, Nicol, right here, please, Greg,
come on over in this corner over here, sir, please,
thank you? Oh you're all good? Call Yeah, yeah, you

(13:27):
don't want to kick over that, thank you?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Pull up a chair, boys, come on in, Greg, get
over here. Well what's this guy doing?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
What's he doing?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
We're live on the air. Yeah, we're live on the air.
Pull up a microphone, you can get put on the headset.
We're Yes, we're live on the air. You're now making
your Gambler debut. Nicols also known as the Ramking. Also
North Penn Customs, Right Nor Customs.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
North Penn Custom Tea custom Teas.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
I actually met a young lady who was a teacher
at North End.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
You did T shirts for them and I met him.
Last week.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
North Penn High School had a situation the baseball team.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (14:14):
Yeah, I got a former two former players as employees.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
So it was a rough week.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
The bawk hurt around the world.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
I can't think of a worse light in the game.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Yeah, it's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Also, joining us right here making his Gambler not debut,
because he's been on the air with us before a
postgame show way back in the day. I think you
called the Eagles winning the suit. They didn't win that year,
but you said the Eagles are going to win the
Super Bowl greg Ano Show. Greg, how you doing so?

Speaker 5 (14:46):
Thank you very much. It's great to be here.

Speaker 7 (14:49):
We're having a wonderful day here, fantastic day down to
the ballpark.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
John.

Speaker 7 (14:54):
You're a great host, and I want to thank you
for kicking off your guest that was scheduled Jason Kelsey,
and let me take his place.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Thank you very much, all.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Right, Greg, And of course, as we were having some
fun here getting the party going all day today for
Game one Mets in Phillies Big Series. Both teams tied
the first place. But Greg, this is a Father's Day
treat courtesy of your two boys here, and I am
happy to be a part of this party tonight at

(15:26):
Citizens Bank Park.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
We'll do vote at tonight's game, sir.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Yeah, this is.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
Awesome, having a great time here, a great Father's Day
gift from my kids here.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I gotta thank you, Memo, you still I owe you awesome,
awesome time you ready to go?

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Was there a question in there?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Now? There was no question. Tell me your thoughts about
the Phillies so far this season?

Speaker 2 (15:46):
How we feeling?

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Well, you know, it's way baseball goes.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
It's up and down.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
They came to a rough patch. That's gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (15:54):
If you remember, not so long ago, we had a
football team that went to a rough patch and never recover.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
So, uh, that's the way the sport is.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
They got great guys in the locker.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
Room, and uh yeah, they're gonna come through this in
flying colors, looking forward to the October baseball to come.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Hey, now, Nick, how are we feeling about this team
right now?

Speaker 5 (16:15):
I feel really good about this team. I think we're
gonna win the World Series.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
That's it simple.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
I mean, we look around this city and you know
we're due. The vibes are just immaculate, and I think
we're gonna do it. I think we're finally gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I thought we're gonna do it last year, though, I'm
not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
Hey, we're back. I make we're gonna make another run.
We'll be good.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
We got a little stronger pitching and uh a little
more experience in the playoffs, and uh, I think our
coach learned a lot, and I think he's ready to
move forward and get us a championship.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Bring it home, all.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Right, Greg, I got two before we get out of here.
Once again, we're almost done here. We got five more minutes.
Of course.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
The big story from the week was Nick Castianos getting
benched due to the fact that he said something to
Rob Thompson that he didn't like.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Quote, he crossed the line. But here's the catch.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Normally we wouldn't care if you get benched for a
game in June.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Who cares?

Speaker 1 (17:14):
But Nick Castiano's had a starting game streak come to
an end because of the coach saying, you know what,
I'm not gonna play you due to the fact that
you crossed the line.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Your thoughts on that situation. Did Rob Thompson do it
was right?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Do you feel like, hey man, he had a streak going,
you got you gotta ride with the players on that
Your thoughts?

Speaker 6 (17:32):
How many games away was he from Cal Ripkins record?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Oh, he was a lot from Cal, but he was
only about one hundred away from from uh who had
the number one what he passed Jimmy Schmidt. I think
Schmid had the all time record.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
If I'm not mistaken, Topper knows when to bench somebody.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
What's that Topper knows when to bench somebody. Hey, look,
streets and records, Reid don't matter to me. If you're
an athlete, you're competing. I don't think that mattered to Topper.
I don't think it matters to Cassidy. What does bother
me is I don't think Cassidy was a great fielder
when he came here. Yes, I think he worked his
tail off to be a better fielder. I think he's
proved it out in the field, and not to reward

(18:12):
him at this time and lean in some of those
tight situations sends a message not to work that hard
and I that's one thing that bothers him.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
You know, Cassie's an interesting player because, like I'm a fan,
but he hasn't lived up to the contract. He had
one good season that pretty much was an outlier. The
pop isn't there. I like him, I like his personality
and I think he has a role in this team
right one sixty two clubhouse full of personalities. I like Cassty,
but man, I need a little bit more from him.
I do, and especially if you're gonna be playing every inning,

(18:42):
every game, I need a little bit.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
More from me at the bat. Let's get it tonight,
all right?

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Hey brings him sun to the games and gives him
good seats. I mean, come on, can't be that bad.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
He's a man of many words. Over here? How's the
T shirt business?

Speaker 5 (18:55):
What's going on? Plug the company?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Please?

Speaker 6 (19:00):
We are the best custom T shirt business to deal with.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
It's not even close.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
What's your website?

Speaker 5 (19:07):
You get North penn custom Tees dot com. Thank you.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
You get a direct line to me, and I deal
with all our customers personally, and we're gonna give you
an experience that's no better than that's better than anybody else.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Do you know what the number one T shirt is
out there?

Speaker 5 (19:22):
We did T shirts for Beef?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
I know you did. He did the Beef up.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Front tailgate t shirts that it took place over there
in the k lot. But do you know what the
number one T shirt out there? I see this T
shirt everywhere. Jake's Bar in west Chester.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
Shane Gillis was rocking a Jake's Bar T shirt a
couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Do you want to do the Valley Forges Tires T shirt.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
That'd be a dream come true. If anybody out there
knows Shane Gillis, send him my wife, you.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Know, because I looked at Netflix. I was going to
buy one because they're selling one. But I'm like, I mean,
come on, can't we Like Shane wouldn't care if we
did some bootlegs out of nor Pen customs. I don't
think you he wants to support the little guy.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
I don't think he'd mind. I'll make the screens tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
All right, He's not so much little anymore. This isn't
happening in your garage anymore.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
Hey, the guy's amazing. We had an arrow ride to
get here from Lansdale. While I was in the car
with him, he was driving. He sold three thousand beanies,
three hundred T shirts, and I think a couple of
pairs of socks with somebody.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
You sell anything?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
All right?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Happy Father's Day, Greg. Looking forward to tonight's game and
final score prediction Wheeler on the mound.

Speaker 7 (20:29):
They got a they got a minor league guy out
there day. I could be ugly tonight. Maybe Hey, nothing Phils,
all right, you're looking for a prediction here?

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (20:40):
Uh seven to two Phils.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Trait Turner goes yard. I like where he's at. I
think it's like nine to three tonight final score.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Let's go.
