Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand the new
and improved Diehard Radio, w D yes and w D
two seven break D Philadelphia. It is Fox Sports Radio
The Gambler.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I mean, we're keeping a book right now, we ask.
So we own four. We have this one. We got
none to lose. We dropped a quarter of our games
and we've yet to do anything, so we have to
lock in.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I'm a Camboard fan.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
I always always have and always will, especially with comments
like that. I don't know why I'm playing it to
start the show, but I thought that was if I'm
gonna keep it a buck one more.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Time, camp.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I mean, we're keeping a book right now, we ask.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
I love it keeping a buck, sham Bandar. That's a
segment for us moving forward from make it happen.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Right here, right now. Good afternoon, everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
It's a daily ticket with you here, Shabra s Chamanar.
We got a lot to get to of course, starting
a little bit late, had to do some work down
down in regards to the big twenty twenty six World
Cup that is on the horizon. Shamandart was able to
get down there and they had like this meeting for

(01:38):
all things media and how crazy it's gonna be. And
it was good to meet a bunch of people because
there is going to be a lot going on for
twenty twenty six, and hopefully the game will be a
part of a lot of it. And of course World
Cup coverage. Nobody does a soccer like we do here
on the station. From Tanzy, Larry Herey, Junior, yourself, me, the.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
List goes on.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Of course, Roxy's of die Hard Rachel from Q one
or two is the in arena hosts for the Philadelphia Union. Yeah,
the Union games might be on a different station. I
don't even know if half the people over there know it,
but regardless, we care about the game of soccer, and
we care about the Philadelphia Union. Who will, by the way,
have one hand on the supporter shield right? And oh,
by the way, the World Cup that is coming here

(02:18):
in twenty twenty six, all right, putting soccer to the side,
and of course Major League Baseball postseason action.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
That's right. Did you see Schooble.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
I saw the stat line. I did not watch any
of it. Fourteen strikeouts in a game one performance. How
about that for an ace?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Sud shoves man.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
He is as much of a horse as you'll find
the modern day MLB, just like the way he goes
about it.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
There he's the man, So shout at the Schooble.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
If that Tigers team has had any sort of chance
and they've looked absolutely lifeless to close the season, it
falls completely on his shoulder, So shout at him for
delivering game.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah. Look, my wager was as simple, or was as follows,
and it's pretty simple logic.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Where if you're gonna get that guy.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
To start game one, I was betting on Schooble if
he didn't smash the in the face with a fastball
ninety nine miles per hour to the to the jaw.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
And shout out went to the hospital to visit the
dude after the fact. That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Yeah, you know, you saw how upset he was, but
that was the reason why they ended up losing that game.
He was completely distraught, and it's understood, or it's understandable
why he was in such disbelief that that's a place.
But all in all, you get him brand new slate
bring it in Game one, fourteen strikeout performance.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
I think the final score is two to one.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
If I'm not mistaken, they might have got one more
in the ninth I apologize had to step out, but
they had the two to one advantage going into the
eighth inning. Slash ninth inning as well. Scooble was lights
out fourteen strikeouts. Dude, it was minus one fifteen to
take the Tigers in the series. It was minus one
seventy five for Game one. Now, I'm not putting the
cart for the horse. By no means they're cash in

(03:50):
a ticket here that hasn't gone final. But to me, yeah,
I'll drink to that as I splash everywhere.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Do you know what I have in my hand right
now that I'm drinking Is that Arnold Palmer?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
What is it? It is something that I have not drank.
The only time I ever drink.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
This, this carbonated concoction is when I'm in Las Vegas.
Because Las Vegas they don't have red Bull up there. Really,
so whenever you do bottles, and again this is way long.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Time ago, I haven't done bottle service in a year.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Whenever you do bottle service out in Vegas, you had
to do the Monster. Not only am I doing the monster, shamnard.
This isn't the sugar free monster. This is the regular monster.
This is the call of duty. Seven monster. We're talking
about some muscle here. Yeah, this is the only thing
that was downstairs, just cuff shops closed. I need a

(04:45):
little pick me up though, very fair. I don't think
you could.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Tell, but you know, yeah, no you you coming out
geared up here. So I love it though, BRACE love
the energy there. I got a little dunkin coffee in
the system personally, so I'm geared up and ready to
roll here.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
I'm not a big Monster guy.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
No, no, no no, As I said my first SIPs,
there's a reason why.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah, not a fan person.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I'm a fan of the marketing. They do a great job.
Monster girls do a great job. I'm a motocross guy.
They have the Monster girls everywhere, NASCAR Monster Girls over there.
They are really good at what they do in that category.
But as far as the drink itself, I like my
caffeine coming from other things.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I'm a big Celsius guy these days. I like the
Celsius Celsius.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
The Red Bull marketing, by the way, is extremely strong
as well. Of course the Red Bull they crosh it
with that so.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
And the dumb stuff that they do, whether it's the
you know, the paragliding into the Delaware or if you know,
climbing the pole. What they were doing they did. They
had something going on with the manniunc wall. They're always
doing fun stuff. Yeah, red Bulls top of the chart.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
You right about that. I'm a sugar for Red Bull
guy or Celsius. But today Monster Energy, Hey, why not?
Let's do it live Dangers all right?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Coming up before thirty, we will talk all things in
fl week five. And it's a segment that we do
on the daily Ticket Chambray Chambernard every Tuesday called Tuesday
l and All. It is essentially we look at where
the line started on Sunday night, where it's at right
now on a Tuesday, and we try to forecast what's
going to take place over the next few days, big

(06:10):
injury storylines, xyz and try to give you the line
what will be come kickoff on Sunday A lot harder
than you would imagine, but nonetheless a great time to
kick around all of the games that are fast approaching.
And for my money, Shaan Manard, the most difficult, the
most difficult week leading up so far of the season.
I think this is the week where it's like, all

(06:32):
right now, let me see what you got as far
as handicap it. Now, let's see those Survivor pool plays.
And I hate to get on my soapbox to start
the show. I hate to be this guy immediately losing
his mind over something because I'm in a good mood
and want to keep it moving.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
But if I could, Okay, how dare Survivor Pools eliminate
you after a tie?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
How dare Survivor Pools counting it as a loss.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Not a win, but it's not a loss. How dare
the NFL have ties in the first right? I could
get that with that even more.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Yeah, the fact that I am out on three out
of my four because I decided to go with the
Green Bay Packers, well.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Happened it that defense? Yeah, it didn't look great.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Hasn't really the last Well, I guess they held the
I mean the Browns put up thirteen on him, which
is feels like fifty in contrast where at your average
NFL team there. But yeah, the Cowboys picked them apart.
Dak Prescott played some the best football of his career.
I've been impressed with that. I think that I took
more away from that from the Cowboy side of things
than anything. But I'm with you that that is absolutely
pretty tragic that you're cut from it for a tie,

(07:42):
right there.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Yeah, look, I just it's not a win, I understand,
but it's it feels more of a win than a loss, right,
and that's how the teams look at it.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
You would rather tie than lose. I guess, No, it's
not a guess.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
We've been down this path before because when it comes
to the end of the year to visions playoff seating everything,
that tie is tenfold better than a loss.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
You're right, it's not even up for debate. It's still
not a win. But yet these knockout survivor pools, I'm eliminated.
How dare you people piss me off?

Speaker 5 (08:16):
I honestly did not even realize that's how I was
being scored there, and I gave some heavy consideration.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Roll with the packers this week.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Shouts my Detroit Lions for coming through through four weeks
for the first time and at least three years to
this point.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
So shout out to me. I'm fired up.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Good news is your boy with snoozeing Sunday night. Okay,
so I didn't see a lick of it second half.
I made it to the end of the third quarter,
and I'm just like, all right, they're going to win,
but this is gonna be tight.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
And I I mean, I'm just like one eye open.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Like a pirate r and then I wake up, go
work out, check the phone. Could not believe that I
saw forty to forty. Yeah, that was a very unfortunate
ending to the game. Oh well, what are you gonna do,
Survivor Pool. Good luck to everybody that's still involved. I
got one open on Draftking, so we'll see where we're
gonna go with. But this is the toughest week for

(09:05):
my money when it comes to NFL Week five.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Now, question for you on this real quick.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
So the way that game ended, the Packers played absolutely
atrocious as far as control of the clock and giving
themselves a chance there that the final play hit the
ground with zero point one second remaining, that was unbelievable.
Would you have personally felt better or worse to be
eliminated on a loss there? It does not matter. Yeah,
I prefer to lose. Okay, the tie was terrible. I
can't believe.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
And you know it's not every.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Survivor Pool, and I don't know if people have changed
their rules over the years.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Maybe they have gone.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
To that because there are plenty of surviverpools out there
that now count a tie as a loss, including Circles,
the biggest one out there, and that's fine, you know,
but for all these smaller ones like my buddies run like.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Come on, dude, really I'm eliminated because of a tie.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Like I said, it's not a loss, and it's it
means more, so therefore it should be more in these
categories are in these contests as well. But I digress.
Most of dude, I wasn't making the past Thanksgiving. Let's
be honest, all right, But dude, when I woke up
or excuse him, when I saw how that end of
the game played out, insane. Yeah, that's you know. I know.

(10:18):
Jordan Love has a pun intended a lot of love
around the league. As far as media is concerned him
being an MVP contender, I still think Justin Herbert.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Is that guy. But no, we can dig in and
we will. We will. Five fifty nine.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
We'll talk about Justin Herbert's performance versus MVP candidate.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
From what I hear five fifty nine, and Shamminard is
going to talk to himself about that one.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
What I would say is that, you know, the the
big difference from quarterbacks making it. And Jordan Love's been
in the league for a long time, so he's already
going to make it.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
He will continue to do so.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
But the difference for quarterbacks to take that next step,
for my money, it's always.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Inside the brain.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
It's here, it's thinking it through, what's the next step
whatever it is, or the next play, seeing it already
happen and before it does take place. That was about
as atrocious of an end game scenario that he would.
He ran through to think that he can throw that
play and he got lucky. You know, where's the home
home cooking. I don't know how that clock stops there,
but regardless, one second on the on the on the

(11:19):
on the clock, and they kicked the field go to
tie it, and of course over to the tie happened.
But man, for you to sit there and think that
you can get another playoff comfortably and and not spike
it and just say, you know what a tie, we're done,
because you know that's got to come from the floor.
And and I would hope he was telling him that that, like, look,

(11:39):
we absolutely want to tie this game bare minimum, because
it has come up in years past, and it's important
when it comes to seating winning that division comfor whatever
it may be, and how jumbled up that that division
is going to be at the end, you never know
a tie could be the difference, So it could.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
There also is no urgency, like even on just those
last handful of plays, they're like the whole kind of
drive beating up in overtime period, it felt like the
Packers were just sort of chilling through it, which I
did not really appreciate. My stock of the Packers I
think has took taking a significant hit this week that
I think we have to view this team as more
flawed than was. We were under the impressions the first

(12:18):
three weeks that after that dominant went over the Lions.
We were talking about this team like they're the gold
standard of the NFC. Everyone pumped the brakes a little
bit on green Bay.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Well, look, you know, and Kyle Brandt from Good Morning Football,
I think he is the one that came out with
the phrase Week one is a liar. Yeah, okay, well
I think that falls into that category, right, Like what
we saw in green Bay's in that game against Detroit
from Green Bay's defense, and I do think they have
some good pieces, but they're not putting it together and

(12:47):
they haven't haven't as of late since that Game one performance.
So here we are. That could be one of those
cases where it's like week one is a liar.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
We'll see Chargers beating the Chiefs, the Packers looking at good.
It's just you know, the Fronds they come out in
week one, right there?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
All right.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I do want to open up with this though, because
we have a GM pack show four thirty Tuesday, tells
five to ten. We will punch up Ryan Beef Coyle
and Beef is going to join us talk some college
football after that weekend that took place, and we got
some good games.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Coming up here.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
All eyes on the SEC and oh, by the way,
Florida State and Miami. Unfortunately for a state, yeah, losing
that game to Virginia on Friday night took a little
bit of this buzz from the game. But oh well,
Forida State Miami. Pretty cool to have that that rivalry
back on national airways. With that being said, I want
to open up with some Eagles conversation.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Sean Binar.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
We are four games into the NFL season. Here Eagles
are four and oh oh, by the way, only two
teams remaining here undefeated at this point in time, the
Eagles and the Buffalo Bills, and for my money, the
two best teams in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Are you going to argue that I would not? Okay, yeah,
I agree.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
And if we get that as a Super Bowl, which
some people were guessing maybe we'd have got last year,
I think we'd all be signing up for that.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Right here, right now.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
But don't go pouring dirt on the Chiefs just yet. Yeah, yeah,
don't do that just yet. Had the Chiefs got that
one on Sunday? So nice call there. But from the
Eagles perspective, here we are four games into this bad boy,
it's a good quarter mark, right We used to play sixteen.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
It was the quarter mark.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Herm Edwards, George, this is when you want to go
ahead and find out about your team. You ask yourself
these questions four games in. That's what herm Won said
to me. That was my Herm Edwards imitation.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Well done? Was it good? Wasn't bad? Hello? You play
to win the game.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
So here we are four games into this season, four
and oh, who's the most impressive.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Player to you, individual player or coach.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
From the Philadelphia Eagles through four games, four and oh,
big time victories over the Tampa Bay Bucks, over the
Kansas City Chiefs, over the Dallas Cowboys, and over the
l A.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Rams.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
The number one player that has impressed you the most
over these four games.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
If I'm going over the four games sample size, going
over the four game my answer would be the bald
Eagle himself, Zach Bond.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Right there.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
I had a little bit of doubt in the back
of my mind coming into the season that maybe last
year was an outlier year, maybe this was a one
hit wonder kind of situation. Nope, absolutely not. This dude
is straight up one of the best linebackers in football.
He's everything that the Eagles need. He's the foundation of
that entire defensive unit there. I think he's been excellent
and kind of rose to the challenge basically every time
he's tested. There a guy that when you don't notice him,

(15:26):
it's for the right reasons that he's making things happen
before they happen on the field there. I think Zach
Bond is every bit of like the foundation of this
defense that they needed. Been very impressed and thrilled that
this is legitimate what we saw last year.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
What a story he has to what he's been able
to do, and.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Of course being special teams to the Saints getting an
opportunity one year deal. I believe it was a one
year deal with the Eagles. Yeah, making the most of it,
all pro so on and so forth. So here we are. Yeah,
it's hard to argue. And he was all over the field.
Yeah again on Sunday and that hot, hot weather for
the defense with the the Eagles against Tampa Bay Bucks.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
I like it. Zach Bon.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Most impressive player for Jean Bernard here through four games
over to me, and no, I'm not going to go
Jailing Hurts, and no I'm not gonna go Dallas Goddard.
And sure as hell can't say Saquon Barkley at this
point in time. Hopefully in maybe quarter two weekend we'll
talk a little bit more about that. I'm going with
the chosen one. Okay, Cooper de g Okay, Coop, First

(16:24):
of all, what was everybody waiting for after the offseason?
What was everybody's talking point this offseason? Oh, Cooper Degene,
he's feeling himself. He's all over the place, he's out
gallivant and enjoying life as he should, but everybody was
waiting on his downfall. Everybody could not wait for an

(16:44):
opportunity to say, see see all those late nights and
Margate to Sea Isle, to the Chester, to the whatever,
to the Phillies. Cooper de g He's not just a
lockdown cornerback for the Eagles. He is a rising force
right now for this team shaman Art, he is the

(17:05):
chosen one. He does it all making plays. Is there
somebody that's more a better fundamental tackler than Cooper dejen
on that defense? And I mean it's sincerely.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
I think Blanket Ship has a case too. Uh, you
don't not on Coop's level. It makes it look too easy.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
Yeah, he takes the feet out in a way that
like they teach it that so many guys like you
look around the league.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
It's not just an Eagles exclusive thing.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
It's like the pop on the shoulder and try and
knock a guy over, and it's not the wrap up
and bring down.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Cooper wraps up and brings down.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
And by the way, that step over and get in
the flag for that absolutely insanity there.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
What are we doing? NFL?

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Let the boys, have a little emotion, have some fun, bro. Yeah,
one hundred percent there. And the last thing that I
would throw in the mix here is the guy who's
debating with Zach Bond is the corner counterpart for Cooper
Degen and that being Quinnon Mitchell.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Right here are you.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
We're pretty close to having the conversation for where does
Quinnon Mitchell rank among the best corners in football? Because
I think he's in that top five mix will absolutely
like he's that guy. He is a followed the top
wide receiver in football, round the field and make him
sweat from start to finish type guy that's so essential
to having your defense.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
And he's taken even further strides off last year. No,
you're right, look, Sauce Gardner, Patri Certan, you know, Quinon's
better than Sauce.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
He is.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I would say this year he is.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
You know they got DJ Reid listed here, Jenalen Johnson
from the Bears, Trent McDuffie from the Chiefs, Stingley from
Houston Texans. Yeah, look, you can make and that and
this is the issue, right like, if you're not watching
these games explicitly for.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
The Eagles, and that's it.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Then you won't know that Quinnon is now shadowing the
best player and he doesn't start following the big time
receiver from the opposing team. But after that first big play,
that's when he starts to shadow. When you saw it
on Sunday and you, I would imagine we'll continue to
see that move forward because that's how good of a
cornerback he is. That coversation needs to be had right here,

(19:01):
right now. Sean, Yeah, I don't that's that's not up
for debate. He's top five, absolutely, Some would make the
case that he's top three.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Some would even tell he's the best. Yeah, he's a stud.

Speaker 5 (19:10):
And like I had, I wasn't like a Quinyon Mitchell
guy going into the NFL draft.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
There.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
I'm not as deep in the weeds for the prospect
side of things and not watch a ton of Yeah,
I thought it was Toledo across. Excuse me, it's some
action there, But yeah, I was not super familiar with
this guy going into the draft. Just shout out to
Howie Roseman for hitting an absolute home run with the
selections there. Walking away in the same draft with Cooper
dejen and Quinyon Mitchell is like a decade of game

(19:37):
changing defensive talent right there.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
So shout out to Howie. Tell you what that Cooper
dejene Iowa Jersey, I might need to scoop on though.
That's nice one. Yeah, I was just looking at the
Toledo Quinnon Jersey to as well.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
No look, and I mean when Coop, it's part flash,
it's part you know the sidebar right wing wink. We
also know what comes with this conversation. He returns punts.
He is all over the field. He's had unbelievable success
already in a limited role. He had an interception in

(20:08):
a Super Bowl, and and and on his birthday.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
And the dude is all over, you know, outside the.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
The the Novacare Complex and doing it big on the
summertime as he should. He is.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
He's he looks, you know, looks the part right.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
I want to say that he dresses like a slouch
like he's a good looking dude.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
And it comes down to this. He is a surefire tackler.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
He will come up and get anybody from Derrick Henry
to taking on a left tackle that's pulling whatever whatever
is calling his name that needs to be done. Cooper
Degen will answer that role. Oh by the way, returning punts.
This kid is the chosen one, and I mean it.
I'm telling you right now, I never thought that I'd
ever rock a twenty one year old's jersey. But Cooper Degene,
let's go. I need to get me one of those.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Regen is not a safety, no, exactly. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
I love the Coop Chance rocked the little whatever dance
thing that I still credit him for the originator for that.
He was the first guy I saw bust that one
out there. But he does. He's got some swagger to him.
He plays with it, he brings it on the field
there beyond just the exit.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Nos.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
I do think that he's kind of grown into such
like a glue part of this defense there, and it
is still the beginning of his entire evolution here.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
So there's even better days ahead for Cooper de Gen.
I'm competating that. I love it.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
I love it, So get involved to the conversation at
Fox PHL Gambler. That's where we're starting today. A lot
of fun on a Tuesday at Fox PHL Gambler. Most
impressive player through four games for you right here, right now,
as far as the Eagles are concerned, at Fox PHL
Gambler all right. On the flip side again, they're four
to zho. So we don't like to pour gasoline on

(21:42):
a fire or cold water on a team that has
just been getting the job done but the least impressed
as far as the player is concerned.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Where Yet, am I allowed to pick the offensive line
as a unit, Absolutely, because that would be my answer there.
I think this Eagles team for years now is built
upon being the foundation, that being the identity of we're
winning in the trenches, and I do think the defensive
line has held up their end of the bargain there.
The offensive line has not been the case, and that's
why we're not seeing the level of impact from Saquon Barkley.
That's why we're not seeing some of the offense hit

(22:13):
its full form to an extent.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
The lanes are not there.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
Saquan has been hit in the backfield more than I
can think of any time last year so far to
start this season. I think collectively it just needs better.
I do think be better. I do think injuries are
the root of it. So I have a little bit
of sympathy there. Cam Jurgens banged up Lane Johnson left
last week again, there's been a lot like these guys
obviously went through the trenches going all the way and
winning the Super Bowl last year. A quick turnaround to
be back on your feet, and it is such a

(22:37):
physically grolling position. But across the board, I've been underwhelmed
by the offensive line by the Eagles to start this year.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Yeah, and like you brought up first and foremost the injuries, right,
Like the fact that you were able to get Landon
Dickerson back after that injury is still it blows my mind.
Tyler Steen is not backed in from last year. No, Right,
that's clear Lane share last week too.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Lane has been battling right, and we've known that Lane's
up there a little bit in age as well. So
I would say, like the one thing that I'm thinking
about more than anything from the offensive line perspective, because
I do believe that they're gonna figure this out and
they will gel and they'll get it going here Stayque's
too good this team, and what they want to do,
of course, is run the football. They have some beast

(23:21):
on the outside that will make some players over the
top that's going to eventually loosen it up.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
But it does come down to health.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
If this offensive line isn't healthy, and we're now depending
on guys like Fred Johnson and Matt Pryor and Drew
Kendall and Brett Toff and Cameron Williams who's on the IR,
Miles Hinton, he's on the IR. Willie Lampkin, I R.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
That's not good. Anybody from the practice squad. We're gonna
have issues.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
But ultimately I do think this whole offensive line will
start to gel figure it out, what works, what doesn't work.
Stotland's the best in the game bar none. So I
do have all the positivity or the optimism for this
offensive line figure it out. But the one thing will
say shot is if they do and they're able to
put it together, to me, it's like, isn't that impressive?

(24:05):
And it shouldn't come as a shock because I think
it all revolves around Joe Staltland and of course Harbie Roseman.
But it's a new offensive line. Oh yeah, it's all new, right, Like,
of course Kelsey's not there, he wasn't there last year,
but Becton's gone, and it just feels like it's something new.
It's a new turned page, it's a new chapter in
the offensive line book for the Philadelphia Eagles, and I

(24:26):
guess maybe you could say most years are, but it
just feels different this year to me, that's all.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
And I do think people sometimes lose track of how
important it is as a collective unit, that each of
these guys are so important to be interlocked and playing
with each other and knowing each other's roles. That it
is not these just one on one individual battles. Sure
there are those moments where it will be Michael Partisans
and Lane Johnson and let the better man win those
type of you know, matchups in an individual standpoint there,
but in the larger part, like these guys need to

(24:53):
know who's pulling, who has what match up like they
it takes some time to get the reps in and
play together. I am confident that the outlook will get
better as the season progresses, but have been under very
underwhelmed to start this shaw.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Oh, look, Trey Thomas on Sundays, we're live Green Lesion Radio.
Of course we're gonna be live on Sunday on Fox
Local app streaming at nine am from State Side Live.
A lot of lives there, but Trey was breaking it
down and you want to talk about somebody gets excited
for offensive line play, right, yeah, yeah, I mean the
table was moving on, like tray, take it easy. He's
breaking down film from the Kansas City game, and you know,

(25:27):
it is an orchestra.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
It is like you have to be on the same
page as a unit collectively.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
And he was showing some of the different things, oh
by the way, without communicating, oh by the way in Arrowhead,
which is extremely loud, you know, no verbal communication. And
yet these guys were all in their back of their minds.
It's only four games into the season, so, like, I'm
with you, the offensive line has been rather disappointing so far.
They're not getting that push that they once were. Yeah,

(25:52):
and say Quan averaging under three and a half three
point three yards per carrier. That's just it's not good enough.
This team's bread and butter is running the football. Are
they picking up the push push? Are they picking up
the tough yards? Are they perfect in the goal? Are
the ends a red zone?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Excuse me?

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Of course, yes, like that needs to be at the
top of the page. But we're not. Everybody is perfect.
Just because your record is not, everybody's playing perfect. With
that being said, over to me, mind simple, and I'll
tell you, I think you nailed it right. That's the
one flaw with this team right now is the push
isn't there from the s offensive line, that the health
and they're still figuring it out. But mine is simple.

(26:28):
It comes back to Sunday and what the hell AJ
Brown was doing.

Speaker 6 (26:31):
I always talk to him, somebody I talked to on
a daily basis. I try to reach out to all
of our guys on a daily basis and won't get into,
you know, any private conversations that we have, but always
in constant communication with all these guys.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, of course that's head coach.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Next year around he talking about whether or not he
has discussed with AJ Brown. You know the social media
post and AJ know what he's doing. And that's why
it's the most disappointing part about all this.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
This team is full or no, this team.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Is it's so far past what these other teams are
competing for. Right You got these other teams that are like,
you know what, we need to keep it going. We
got to stack wins together. That's not like I get it,
That's what the Eagles will tell you. But it's about
winning another super Bowl. It's about getting back to the
Super Bowl for this team. And there's only one other

(27:21):
team that could say that, and that's Kansas City Chiefs.
So it's like Aj Brown here, he is in a game,
in a game that he got nine targets. Yeah, nine targets,
all right, I get it.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Not red zone, not a deep ball. There's a couple
a couple of deep shots. Yeah, but you know what,
you want to take more with him.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
You want to allow him to eat, right, and especially
in the red zone, like he's that much of a body.
But guess what, they're perfect in the red zone. So
how dare you go to social media and take a
piece of meat and throw it out there for the
wolves to feast on. It's just it bothered me, and
it should bother everybody because the Eagles are so far
and away better than that. But it clearly Aj Brown

(28:04):
wants to make it about himself.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
Yeah, I certainly wish he did not do that, And
I also think it's kind of ironic and funny. The
entire quote is about basically like staying silent and not
causing a scene when that's like exactly what this does here.
And he knows that he like he obviously knows the
reaction that this is gonna.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Give me look at me.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
I get the frustration with the offense overall, that Patula
has not been an ace to start the season. I
would say that there's legitimate critiques with the play call,
the passing game, why why things have not like hit
its full stride yet. But at the same time, this
team is four no and AJ Brown. The grass is
not greener? My friend, Amen, where else could you possibly go?
If this is a force out conversation, which I don't

(28:41):
even think we're there. I don't know remotely there yet.
But if you want to romanticize about how much better
your stat lines could look if you were on another team,
I just straight up don't really think that would be
the case there. And I've even seen some of like
the film, guys like Emmanuel Accho was diving into each
of those nine targets, calling him here damn targets, just
throwing him this direction like that. I just disagree, Like

(29:03):
I think they were legitimate play calls to get him
the football. I think Aj has to wear some responsibility
for coming out of the routes a little bit sloppy
at times and not blocking to the fullest of his capabilities.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
So let's just buy in and win another Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Here.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
I don't need to hear any more of this nonsense,
and I don't think it's necessarily going to stop.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
I agree, Sean.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
I think it was you and I talking last week
where we were like talking about Hall of famers from
this team.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
And I said simply it was either me or you
or Sam one or the other.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
And I simply said, if they continue to win, yeah,
all those accolades will follow.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Yeah, you win multiple Super Bowls.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Yeah, you're damn right, You're at the top of the
list unless you're Eli Manning.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
With that being said, little update here is the Cobbies
put one on the board. We are now tied out
at Wrigley One, all Padres Cubbies at in a beautiful
afternoon for some baseball. My goodness, would I love to

(29:57):
be there right now? Oh yeah, they're going absolutely bizarre.
Excuse me, two to one, Cubbies. That must have been
a two run shot.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
I did not know that they got back to back
Szuki at the first one.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Well, damn, let me run it back. They went back
to back.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
They did, Suzuki and Kelly go back to back. PCA's
up at the dish right now, two to one, Cubbies,
bottom of the fit. Yeah, I had the Cubs winning here,
I had all favorites. Not much to really break down
when it comes to playoff baseball. Here's what I will
tell you my big hot take right here, right now,

(30:37):
and you tell me it's kind of Lukewarms not even now. Okay,
I don't think either one seed will be in the
World Series.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
Okay, I don't think that's that hot of a take,
to be honest. I'm surprised the lack of respect.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
The Brewers are getting. I think the Brewers are a
very good baseball Well, then that should be coming right
back in my face then.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
I mean, I still think the Phillies are going to
represent the National League. So I do not believe that
the Brewers will be making it to the World Series here,
but I am kind of surprised. The way that these
team has talked about is kind of a non factor
from playoff perspective. They've been the best team in baseball
for quite some time.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Here's the rub.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
What you do in the regular season most of the
time doesn't carry over unless unless we're talking about unbelievable
pitching and bombs. You can't manufacture runs in postseason play.
You just can't do it. And that's what the Brewers
did all season long, station to station. I'm not trying
to downplay because when you are the number one team,

(31:36):
you win the most games in the league, you are
damn good at what you do. I'm with you on that.
But give me a team that's going to hit bombs
over to station to station nonsense.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
But what happens when you don't hit bombs, which we've
seen here in Philadelphia as well. And they have like
talented players the Brewers man like Christian Yelich, will William Contreras,
like that team is fairly loaded there. So I don't
think I'm not investing saying I think the Road is
gonna win the World Series here it sounds like it.
It surprised me the lack of respect that they've got.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
That's fair.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
This is the number one team in baseball the most wins,
and here I'm going now, they're not gonna get to
the World Series.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
And everybody's saying that.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
There's not a lot of people out there, a majority
of people believe it or not. I saw a bunch
of people putting out those graphics today, I saw a
lot of Phillies and Mariners. Yeah, yeah, which would be awesome.
I think I have that as an exact. I took
that out in Chicago like an idiot, just having fun.
Small little play but nothing too crazy. However, I think
it's Yankees and Phillies in the World Series.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Okay. Interesting.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
I'm not a full believer in this Yankees team.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
They're put it together. They are.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
There's not really too much of a hotter team than
the Yankees for my money.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
They won eight straight.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Heading into the playoffs here, that's a replay, and they
play in that small ballpark.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
They made a run last year.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Like I'm a bombs guy, man, I'm all about bomb Shoppynard.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
Interesting there the Cleveland Guardians calling up a rookie for
the first time for this playoff run.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Well, first of all, the Guardians, what did I say,
do you say the Indians? I didn't think so did I?
Did you say the Indians are Guardians? I thought I
said Guardians, But I was like, how would you say
the Indians? You're young? They I don't even think they
were the Indian I bet you they were. I heard
a guy on ESPN.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Say the Indians today, I was cracking up. It's just
it rolls out the tongue. It's a shame because the
Indians was a.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Great logo, and I get it.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
The DC the team for my money, I felt like
I always had a little something different in the name
versus the Indians.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
But whatever, it's twenty twenty six.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
I'm ready to move on twenty twenty one that they
changed their name. Yeah, so not that long ago. No,
it's a shame because that logo was great. I mean
it was really cool, and of course Major League plays
into it, write the movie. But regardless, who cares the Guardians. Look,
they were a hot team. They were built off of
starting pitching. They were incredible.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
They went to a six man rotation with twenty five
twenty six games left in a regular season. They went
on such a tear, the number one team as far
as comeback winning the division. I think they're around fifteen
and a half games. Like everything has been written about them,
it's all true. They're often stinks though, like they're gonna
struggle again tomorrow. They haven't been able to put anything together.

(34:16):
So if they're calling new blood up, it tells you
all you need to know.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
There.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
This is quite the debut, Like commagine me in this kid,
he's twenty three years old, and said, your first opportunity
in the major leagues will be in the opening round
of a playoff game. Here, I was just surprised to
see that pop across the timeline. Don't know the full
details of the lead up to that. I know he's
a highly regarded prospect, but that caught my attention.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Love it all right off and running here. Of course,
we opened up shop talking to birds.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Love to get you involved with that most impressive and
least impressive player, slash coach or a unit. You can
throw it all in there at Fox Pachel gailor Fox
Peachel Gambler. You Sean Manard, I'm Sean Brace. You can
find us on Socials. Get involved in the conversation there.
We will continue the Egles conversation. Got a couple more
quarter mark questions, and I will throw Sean's way throughout

(34:59):
the course of the show. Other side, though, we do
a segment called Tuesday Tells where we fire up all
things DraftKings and take a look at what the opening
number was, where it's at right now, and what it
will become. Sunday all things NFL Week five. Let's look
at the futures on the other side. More daily ticket
after this.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
If you can wager on it, we're talking about it.
It's the gambling
