Speaker 3 (00:44):

Price and Scott bangs went off there and story scoreboard

the distance in a three to one victory, A one

Speaker 4 (01:19):
ESND courtesy of the Philadelia. Philly is already a network.
The Great Scott Franski on the call, swung On blasted
Bryson Stott bottom of the eighth and the Phillies come
away with a three to one victory in a game
that everybody across the Delaware Valley was saying the same thing.

(01:41):
Just don't waste this start, don't waste this magical appearance
by Sack Wheeler yet again, even better than what we've
seen the whole month of June. He was simply sensational yesterday.
And it has just been one start after another by

(02:02):
this starting rotation that we are just being consumed and
enjoying the great pitching that this team is trotting out there.
It seems like every single start. And I get it,
you know, some people want to look at the lineup
and you're not good enough and starting to you know,

(02:23):
take things down the road. Understood, because that's what we're
going to do. But man, it's important in this moment,
in this season, and every season carries on a new
story and defines what a season really is throughout the
course of one sixty two. Obviously, just enjoy this because

(02:43):
this might be the best pitching staff that I've ever seen.
And of course I'm talking about the four Aces, but Roy, Cliff,
Roy and Cole, I mean, those guys were incredible. But man,
it seems like the fact that may be going in
and not having this this type of expectation versus what

(03:05):
we did all those years ago at eleven was the
four Aces. I'm sorry, my brain is still a little
warped from the fourth of July. That continues to go
on here. You know, like this pitching staff has just
been incredible to watch Ranger Suarez, Christopher Sanchez, and of
course Zach Wheeler at the top.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Of that list.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
He has been unbelievable, specifically in these last six starts,
and yesterday was more of the same. Struck out twelve,
walked a zero. First complete game by a Phillies pitcher
since August eighth, twenty twenty one when Christoph or excuse me,
first complete game for him, I apologize August eighth, twenty
twenty one against the Mets, and I knew that first

(03:48):
by a Phillies pitcher since last year on August seventeenth,
Christopher Sanchez. Now, like I said, Wheeler is the story
gets the All Star bid appearance yesterday, of course Upsteany.
As far as the Cy Young Award was concerned for undrafting,
Sportsbook will go over some of those numbers because some

(04:08):
great pitching across the league in general. But he was
also named the NL Pitcher of the Month for June.
It's just been an incredible time to watch Zach Wheeler
step out.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
There on the mound and deliver time and time again.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
It's just, you know, I know there's some people out
there that want to compare and versus doc and some
of the more dominant pictures that we've ever seen. Cliff Lee,
for my money, Cole had his moments, his stretches where
he was incredible. But man, what Zach Wheeler has been
able to do and has done in a Phillies' uniform

(04:43):
since he's shown up and having his best season in
a Phillies uniform right now, it's just been incredible to watch.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
And I would love to have something a little bit more,
you know, deep.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
But at the end of the day, if you were
watching that game, you're just in there, going, this is
a game that they have to win, you know, like
we're all in it together. We're sitting around watching this
and you just here he goes back out there in
the eighth, and then next thing you know, he's getting
the opportunity to go out there in the ninth thanks
to Stot hitting that two run shot. Who knows he

(05:16):
might have went back out there. I don't think anybody's
warming up if they don't get the two run home run.
I don't know, But man, just a great performance again,
just another unbelievable performance by Zach Wheeler. And they'll tell
you what I placed that wager on him. Eleven to
one National League Cy Young Award. It's probably a little bit.
It was probably right in the beginning of June. I'll

(05:38):
look it up. And I did it partly because obviously
you have that bias you want something to roof for it.
But I promise you this, I did believe that he
could potentially win that award. And I know Skeens is
pretty damn good in his own right, but Wheeler and
what he's able to do, and of course I know
it's no fault to Skeens, but when they win the game,
you know, those types of things applied to the voters.

(06:00):
I feel pretty good right now, albeit on July seventh,
having that ticket and considering what the odds are right
now for Zach Wheeler, a man who started up on
a timeline and has been covering the Phillies for the
Folksilver at crossing broad dot com. Luke Arcaney kicking things
off here on a daily ticket Monday, and Luke, I'm
just I'm just in awe of Zach Wheeler and what

(06:21):
he's able to do and how easy he made it
look last night. Again, these guys are professionals. They got
the buck. Wheeler's been in the league for a long
damn time. He's already talking about retirement in two years and.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
That here he just.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Here, he is just mowing him down. Your takeaway from
another Wheeler gym yesterday was.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
What yeah, yees, Like, We've seen a ton of awesome,
awesome Zach Wheeler starts.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
That start yesterday was.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Probably his second best ever is a Philly and I think,
you know, there is the argument for best ever.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
I think that and.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
The other complete game he threw August Day's twenty twenty
one Royale to day, you know, those are the two.
But for the first time, like I think truly, when
I've been there for a regular season game, you saw
Zach Wheeler get in a flow and you just knew
they weren't going to lose.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
And yes, I know, they.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Went over ten with Runnerson scoring position, with nine strikeouts,
and they left eleven guys on base. I understand that
even when it was one one, I had no doubt
in my mind that they would win, just because I
thought there was no way they could possibly ruin this.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
It was. It was remarkable.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
It was the best pitching performance I've probably ever seen
in person. I'll say this, I had full body chills.
Yesterday when he walked back out for the ninth it
was the best regular season atmosphere I've ever seen, by
far that I've ever covered.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
And the second that day that forty thousand.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
People start a chanting let's go Wheeler like it was
full body chills.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
I mean, you just knew he was going to get
it done.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
And for him to be throwing ninety eight on pitch
one hundred and and his least amount of pitches in
an inning to come in the ninth inning, it was
an eight pitch ninth inning.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
It was. It was absolutely remarkable.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
He's one of the best Phillies I've ever watched.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
It was.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
It was one of the best performances I've ever seen,
and it was it was just a truly.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Remarkable game to watch.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Since Wheeler return from paternity lee back on June and ninth,
he's only allowed three earned runs in forty innings of work.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
That near dad strengths, baby.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yeah, man, I need some of that. Maybe that comes.
What's a baby number five or four? What does he have?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Four?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Four?

Speaker 5 (09:01):
I think four?

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, that's yeah, because I don't have any of that
new dad strength right now.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Let me tell you that I'm hurting. After a four
day week weekend.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Again, the Wheeler struck out twelve, as Luke just pointed out,
one hundred and eight pitches. I'm reading an article now
that Topper said he would have taken them out at
one fifteen. It was very interesting because you had yesterday
or on Saturday, Ranger Suarez gets pulled out at a
lower number that had everybody discussing. And then of course
you look up and Wheelers and the one hundred mark,

(09:32):
and everybody's like, wait, wait, what's going on there? And
you know, look, you're talking about two different pictures, two
different days, two different lineups. There's so much that's baked
into that that those conversations A and then B plans
on how you plan to attack those innings later innings
for both of those pictures.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Just a different scenario across the board.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
But again Thompson played them both right, came away with
back to back victories two of three against the Reds
this weekend, and they roll on.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
They got an All Star break coming up.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
A first a trip out to San Francisco and I
think San Diego, I want to say after that this
weekend as well. Out on the West coast again, d
yep sticks on.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
The road three in San fran I will say they
are seven and twenty five in their last thirty two
games at Oracle Park.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
Don't have great history.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
There, so so I actually did tweet this out a
few minutes ago.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Uh, this is officially the time of.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
The year where there's a week before the All Star
break and you hope for two things. You hope that
the Phillies play five hundred baseball over the next week.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Doesn't need to be any more, don't need it to
be any worse. And you hope for no injuries. If
those if those.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Two things happened with a week before the All Star break,
it was a successful week.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Gotta give them a pretty good chance tonight because the
Sanchez on the Mountains seven and a half low total there.
We'll talk a little bit more about that game from
the weekend though, if we could, because you know, I
think it's important to point this out. You had bom
go yard, you had Castianos go yard. Yesterday, he had
Stott hit the two run shot. Who else am I
missing on Saturday? Who oh Sosa hit a home run

(11:10):
as well. It's just it's a good thing again from
an average Joe perspective. I'm turning the microphone on here
on Monday, he gets the crazy performance by Wheeler, but
it's a good thing to see those bats come alive
and a couple of guys go yard in those two games,
of course, two victories over the Reds.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, specifically for Stop, that's that's the guy who's just
really really needed to see one go through.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
I think he's hit an under two hundred since June first.
It's it's definitely been a rough, a rough offensive season
for Stop. But I think just.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
For him to hit that home run at home, I mean,
like a few weeks ago, he had a big one
in Miami, but you know how big is the go
ahead home run down in Miami versus the Marlins. For
him to get that big home run, aith Inning, why
you're arms throwing an absolute gen of the game that
can go a long way for Stop.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
You know, it's just working through the flows. Obviously.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I think they're gonna continue to keep doing this whole
platoon thing.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
Because one I think they have to. I mean, at
Mundo Sosa, that guy's been a hell of a player
this year.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Again, they they have to keep him in the lineup,
especially against against left handed hitching, and.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
You know this team is going to look a little
different after that.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
I think they're going to get a bat maybe two
in here, because they need it.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
This team has the chance to win a World Series.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
But I don't think this lineup right now constructed can
go all the way through a postseason run and win
a World Series.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
They would have to just all be hot at the
same time.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
They they need a power threat from the right handed
side of the plate. But for now, work through what
you have. Ride the guys that are hot. Right If
Harper's not giving you much, you're still getting a ton
from Trey Schver had a.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
Huge double yesterday.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Alex bowm has had some nice stats since you know,
May first, Brandon Marsha's really turned his season around. You know,
just continue to ride the hot hand once again, If
you play five hundred baseball over the next six days,
I am I am completely okay with that.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
All right.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Game one World Series and you have three horses on
your staff. First one is Tarik Schooble, second one is
Paul Skeen's. Third one is Zach Wheeler, who's getting the
ball in Game one.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
This year.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
I don't want right now, from from starting to this point,
starting to this point, who's getting the ball game one?
You don't have to bring anything into who they've been,
who they are number one overall. Pick I got a
hot girlfriend. None of that matters. You got Game one
World Series. Who's getting the ball?

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Oh man, I'm gonna be honest. For me.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
It's between Wheeler and Schooble. And that's no disrespect to
Paul Skins at all. If people would, I think Sean
Bernard said disgust. I think people would think of Zach
Wheeler are a lot different if he was dating Livy Dunn. Come,
I'm gonna slightly lean Wheeler.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Okay, I'm gonna slightly lean Wheeler. I'll say this if
it was a seven, if it was a.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Three game series and you were guaranteed to play all
three games, I would want Wheeler to go Game three.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
I would want Wheeler to go in the do or
die Game three.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
But if those three guys are on your staff and
you have to pick one to go Game one, I
would give a very very very slight.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Advantage to Wheeler.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
And I think it proves where baseball is at right now,
because I think right now, if anybody made a list
of the top three pitchers in baseball and you put
any of those guys in any order, I think it's
really hard to disagree with any list. I'm not opposed
for anyone to put Schemes at one. I'm not opposed
for people to put Scooble at one, and I'm not

(15:15):
opposed to people putting Wheeler at one.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Well, of course, all three of those players made the
All Star Game. We'll talk a little bit about some
snubs in just a second. We got Luke Rkay yesterday too. Yeah,
they did all pitch yesterday. Schoolbl is just there's something
different about him that I would love to have at
number one.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
He's firing, man, He's the guy that's good. See Like
Wheeler will strike out twelve, throw nine innings and just
give JT a casual smile. Scoobl will strike out twelve
and nine innings and will scream in your face when
the game ends.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Last eight starts.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
I think the only difference between them.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yeah, there's the fire about Schooble that I am the
because man he is.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
He's just got swagger when he's out there.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Six and oh one point one two Era sixty nine
strikeouts last eight starts.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
That's what we call nice right there.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yeah, uh, of course Schemes has been incredible, just not
getting any help as far as offensive production for the pirates.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
But that will be used against him when it comes
to the cy Young. I'm telling you that's gonna play
in the voters' minds.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Somebody's gonna get duped by the wind lost stat and
the next scene could open it up for Zach Wheeler.
We got plenty of time to discuss that anything you
want to get off your chest. I know, only have
you for a limiting Yeah, I gotta back that up.
You're playing golf. You know they're calling for like three
to five inches of rain right now?

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Right Well, Sean, I've always been anti weatherman, okay, because
you know, until it rains, it's not raining. So we're
gonna play golf until it rains, and if it only drizzles,
we're probably gonna continue.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
To be having all right, Well, good luck, my friend,
good luck, godspeed, as they say on that one. But
as far as anything for the All Star snub, I
think Juan Soto and Trey Turner at the top of
the list for my mine.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Where else are you going, I'll give you five.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
I got Trey Turner.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I'm gonna just Putner at SAT's in one. I think
both of those guys got snubbed. I think Christopher should
be over Matthew.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Boyd of the Chicago Cubs.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
So I'm gonna go the the combination of Training Sanchez.
I'm gonna go Juan Soto. I think Wanda should be
in over Fernando Tazzis. I think George Springer should be
in the game. George Springer is top five in every
single offensive category.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
In the American League, and he's not in the All
Star Game.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
I will say as well, another pitcher other than the
two Phillies that I think.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
Got snubbed with Andrew Abbot of the Reds. He's had
a really, really nice year.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
So I would say those, you know, five guys for
me will probably be the five five biggest snuffs.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
All Right, Luke Arcandy joining us here, make sure you
read them over a crossing broad dot Com. Let's keep
it move. Let's talk a little bit about tonight's game.
Like you said, we're gonna keep it simple here. You
want to just see a couple of victories right off
into the All Star Break, everybody healthy, but let but
as I put earlier, Sanchez on the mound, he has
been lights out, just as dominant as Wheeler, just as

(18:18):
dominant as Ranger. You want to put on a take
below Wheeler, I'm not gonna argue that, but take a
look at what he did in a month of June.
Sanchez has been incredible. Of course, you just pointed out
should have been on the All Star team. I agree
with you there seven and a half low, low total.
Don't think we're gonna see a lot of runs in
this one from either side. Your thoughts on tonight's game though,
nine to forty five, first pitch out there in the bay.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah, I think it's probably a situation where you could
look to an under. I don't think there's gonna be
a ton of sparks out there tonight, good arms going
against each other.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
I will be one prediction, though.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
I think I still will hit one in the McCovey covet.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
And it doesn't happen often.

Speaker 5 (19:02):
No, it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
And I'm not gonna go with Schwarmer. I'm gonna go
with Max Kepler. I think Kepler hits one the cove tonight.
Back my prediction for tonight's game.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
I'm trying to look it up. I know they got
the counter out there. I don't know how many balls
I've ended up. And the best part about it is
they're all Barry Bonds.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
I'm looking right now. Four nine, twenty five.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
Yeahs.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
There's only been one ball hit. Yastremski hit one and
on April ninth, So only one ball hit this year
into McCovey Cove. There's been a one hundred and six
total balls into McCovey Cove since the stadium opened two thousand.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Wow, two thousand that stadium has been open.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
That's interesting again, Barry Bonds literally peppered all the way
through and through this list right here, but some pretty
good yeahs.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
A couple of times in there shout out.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
He's not the biggest dude in the world, but he's
got a couple of bombs over there into mccuffey cup.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
I like that, all right.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Uh, And then you're going kepler on that one. And
you don't like the birds or the birds, you don't
like the Phills to come away with the victory tonight, I.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Would leave in the Phils. I'll say this I'm not
gonna put the money down. I just they just never
play well there. True, if you were going to pick
a side, I think logistically the Phillies would be the
smarter pick. But I just I was just probably leaning
towards sore profs look at some splits.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
But yeah, I'm just probably not gonna lay on the game.
I just.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
All right, you're breaking up stadium, breaking up a little
bit there. Last time out for the Phillies and the
Giants back on April the seventeenth, they split in a
four game series here in Philly. Uh Sanchez was minus
one ninety four and the one with a total of
seven and a half six to four was your final score.
These two teams in the four games that they played

(21:06):
all went to the over at Citizens Bank Park, So
something to keep your eye on there again, a whole
different ball game out there in the Bay with that
weather and.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Of course that stadium.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
We shall see, Luke, you're the best continued success over
there at CB and hit him straight, my friend, what
do you you're filming anything today? You're playing with any superstars?
You got, Jake Elliott?

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Film just around with the boys to that.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Around with the boys, and what are we thinking?

Speaker 5 (21:30):
What what?

Speaker 2 (21:31):
What's the number? What's the number?

Speaker 5 (21:35):
We're playing river Winds, so we'll go We'll go over
under eighty two and a half. I like that. How
about that?

Speaker 2 (21:44):
I want to see two and a half.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I like the big I have a big golf tournament
this weekend up in the Poconos, So this week's gonna
be a lot of prep. We're playing thirty six holes
this weekend up in the Pocono Should be a fun time.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
But this week's the week of prep.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Great court to a couple of good courses up there,
Jack Frost, and then the other one is slipping my
mind right now.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
A lot of hills, yeah, extremely extremely hilly.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
Got one of those courses has a motorcycle that you
can ride with your with your bag on it.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
How about that?

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Really?

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Yeah, man, I want you.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
To stay straight, keep it on the cart path, okay.
And then PGA Tour Man, we roll on. We got
to Genesis, Genesis, Scottish Open and the Open Championship of
course links courses coming our way.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Uh, Luke, you're the best. Hit him straight. My friend
will catch up later this week. My man, there he
is once again.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Luke Carcaney I was able to give us twenty minutes
to get the party started. I was like, dude, I
got a heavy after Wheelers performance last night. And it
is interesting because you look around the league and the
type of performances you are getting from the aces. It's
not eye opening by no means. These guys are all
really good pictures, so it's not surprising at the end
of the day, but it is pretty cool to see

(22:59):
them go neck and neck on the same day and
then compare and contrast some stats and look from that
perspective between Wheeler Schooble, Skiings. I know, I know, like
I'm gonna look you dead in the eyes and tell
you I know that Skeens should get the NOD probably
nine out of ten times. I know he should, But

(23:23):
at this point in time, I just see something different
with Wheeler in Schooble. I do Skeens is unbelievable. He's electric.
Look what his numbers were yesterday. If I couldn't, if
you don't mind, just bear with me. I know he
got pulled early, but didn't he already have like double
digit strikeouts yesterday too as well. And the problem is

(23:45):
it's the pirates, and you know they don't get all
that much attention. But it's another one nothing loss for Schemes.
Skeens went in there and pitched five innings and had
ten strikeouts, like you know, got into a little bit
of trouble in the first standing, was able to get
out of it again. Ends up with ten strikeouts in
five innings, gave a five hits throat. But for me,

(24:08):
for my money, if you're telling me, I got to
give that ball to somebody right here, right now, it's.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Between schoobl and Wheeler.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
I like Luke's approach where he said, you know what,
I'm gonna say, Wheeler for Game three, and.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
He's going to be the difference. I like that.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
I do, And it makes you think as far as
the Phillies are concerned, Like you know, I'm bringing it
back to what I said to start the show today.
We were all saying the same thing going into that
seventh inning, going into that eighth inning. Hell, it might
have been even more, might have been in the sixth inning.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
I know the home run was hit by the Reds
in the fifth, I believe, but it is sixth seventh
as it got later, and you're just looking and Wheeler
striking him out and still popping them in at ninety eight,
and you're saying yourself, just don't waste it. Don't waste
this gem of an appearance by Zach Wheeler, and thankfully

(25:01):
they did not. JT got on, got something cooking. Of course,
Stott goes yard. But I think we're all saying the
same thing right now, and it's specifically about this team
and about what's in front of them. Of course, the
All Star Break, and then July thirty first is the
trade deadline, and we're all saying it. To Dave dombrowskiing,

(25:23):
we're saying it as loud as we possibly can, don't
waste this season. These starting pitchers are amazing. I'll put
this team up against anybody out there only because of that.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
The Dodgers, the Yankees, the Tigers, go down the list,
the Cubs, whatever team you want to put in there.
I'll put the Phillies up against every one of them.
And quite frankly, if it comes to push, comes to
shove and you send on a wager, I'll be back
in the Phillies with that starting rotation come October slash September.

(25:58):
We'll see what happens along way. Go But Dave Dombrowski,
if you're listening, don't waste this season. Go out there
and be aggressive and go get some bats. Anyways, a
lot to get to, big time weekend. Hopefully everybody had
a great Fourth of July. Hopefully everybody was able to
not absolutely crush their souls over four straight days and

(26:20):
then some. I took yesterday off. I floated in a
pool all day. I put good suntan lotion on, right,
had my wear SPF and then you know, I'm swimming
around a little bit next to you know, I'm getting cooked,
like the meme. Hey man, I'm getting cooked. I felt
it right here, got a little sun tan or a

(26:41):
sunburn on the arms, got in the shower this morning.
It's like, dag, what the heck just happened? You know
it is you might miss those spots every once in
a while. Right, The dome was good, Like I said,
were SPF is the best stuff out there. But bottom
line is I haven't had sunburn in a long time.
But all I was just doing was just relaxed. We
had a party on Thursday, which was local Friday, buddy

(27:02):
of mine. I had people over, kids, are running around.
He bought this five hundred dollars Amazon slide. Like these
kids these days, I hope they realize how lucky they are.
The toys, the way you could get them delivered to
your house, right to your doorstep, just so much to
choose from. These kids shouldn't have a day being bored

(27:24):
in their life. Back in my day, at least tack
baseball cards and stick them in this I kid, but still,
my buddy gets this Amazon delivery straight to his doorstep
on July fourth.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
It was legit.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
July fourth, got it delivered to the house. And this
five hundred dollars like four to seventy nine. This thing
had two slides, a shooter gun, a basketball hoop, no lie,
a basketball hoop in this thing. It was ridiculous delivered
right to the house. And the kids are going nuts there.

(28:02):
Saturday we swam all day. We're playing buck golf over
my buddy Collins house. And then yesterday we had a
family party where I just literally laid in the in
the pool and just.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Floated for two and a half hours. And yeah, I'm
surprised that I ended up getting cooked.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
On my arms.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
No I'm not.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
But a good weekend of course, just to unplug a
little bit, let go and you know, have some fun
with the Fort of July fireworks and my daughter had
a blast.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Family had a great time. Hopefully you did as well.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
We do have some other stuff to get into from
the weekend, as I said, not a lot of pressing
stuff as far as PGA Tour, but we do have
a whole different world when it comes to where they're
heading now. Again, all summer long, these golf courses have
looked very similar, right, Well that's all out the window.
We go to the Genesis Scottish Open and the Open

(28:48):
Championship and back to back weeks, so we talk a
little bit more about those links courses compared to the
other courses for the PGA Tour most weeks, right, we
also had Joey Jaws chesssnut going for seventy and a
half and shout out to the folks over at Circa
who nailed it. Seventy and a half hot dogs consumed

(29:10):
just insane. I think all week and long, I probably
have about six I won't lie about that. But this
dude eight seventy and a half and ten minutes his
seventeenth Mustard Belt Joey Jaws, chest Nut back in the
Winter Circle.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Gotta love it.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
We also have some other odds and ends that we'll
get to again. Big day for all things Phillies. Back
at it this evening, taking on the San Francisco Giants
once again, drafting sportsbook. We're getting numbers from Christopher Sanchez
minus one thirty six coming up in at four o'clock hour.
Larry every Junior is gonna be back on the show
because last night watched the go excuse me, the Gold

(29:49):
Cup Final got choked up there. That's how bad of
a loss it was for me. I get it. It's
they're B and C squad. We always got these excuses.
Soccer always has these excuses, and they're realistic because it's
the reality of where we're at with all these players
being in different spots. And of course Pull six says

(30:09):
he doesn't want to play and needs the time out,
needs a little bit of a break.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I get it. It's still a game.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
That was there for the taking and unfortunate that the
US men's national team came up just short last night.
But we'll talk about that because now what right I
see on ESPN on Sports of It this morning, they
flash games in June. US men's national team games in June.
I go, wait, what that's a bad graphic. It's July.

(30:38):
Oh no, that's the World Cup games next June that
feature Team USA. I don't have a good vibe about
this team. What can change over the next twelve months.
A lot we'll find out from Larry his thoughts on
his big takeaways from the Gold Cup and what he's
applying to the World Cup. Of course, the Philadelphia Union

(30:58):
now on a losing streak. They lost, so we'll talk
about the Boys in Blue unfortunate game on Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
It's all running together.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
I apologize against Nashville where they were up man and
could not find the way to score goals that they
ended up losing one to nothing in that one.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
That was a tough loss.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
We got some other things that will hit in the
world of soccer with Larry, he's going to join me
coming up.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
At four ten.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
On the other side, though, it's unfortunate, we have another
player that is having to be suspended due to suspicious
activity wagering on his games. I'll tell you who that
player was. And this is a different one Major League
Baseball edition. Interesting we've had our basketball players, right, I know,

(31:43):
dude Pope, right. For San Jose we had hockey players,
but now we have college hoops. We had college baseball,
now major League Baseball and not having to deal with
an interpreter on this one. I'll give you that story
and who the player was on the other side, said
Daily take it on a Monday, just getting warmed up,

(32:04):
getting the cobwebs out.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
