Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand the new
and improved Iheard Radio, WDA Yes and WD two seven
three D, Philadelpia Ice, Fox Sports Radio, The Gambler.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Oh yacht Rock, bringing us back here at a five
o'clock hour and a good evening, everybody, chan Bra, Sean Bannhard,
Sam Oxen from the Score got a lot to get
to this. We're gonna talk a lot about the NBA,
bring it back to a lot of a little show
we'd like to call picks and roll, big time NBA
analysis from these two. So we've been focusing and featuring

(00:42):
them throughout the course of the season. We'll continue to
do so until we crown a champion. If you miss anything,
please at FOXPHL Gambler dot com.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
We will be going live a ton.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Over the next few weeks slash months, all the way
up until I said an NBA champions crowned in the
first week, second week of June. I do want to
hit this though, because I meant to hit it in
the last hour. Lee Curso finally calling it a career. Boys,
He'll put on the headset one more time a college
game day, and that is it.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
That's all. She wrote.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Now if you look up my tweets, and I don't know,
I don't know how people search tweets like the great
Nick pcone.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Who oh, by the way, no one does better.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
WrestleMania Roundtable on the Gambler at seven pm tonight, all right,
Von Johnson, Jason Finelli, John Janssen making an appearance God
Nick Pecone talking all things wrestling, wrestle Mania Alive from
Las Vegas. That's coming your way at seven o'clock, six o'clock.

(01:43):
You're gonna have a little bit more of bending the
Edge mock draft style, Mark Henry Junior, Ryan Beef Coyle
and Nick McClay. That's coming your way on the other
or in the next hour, excuse me at six pm.
Lee Corso though, if you search my tweets, I swear
it might be more than five years. It's pre pandemic.
I go, it's time to call it. ESPN needs to

(02:07):
do what's right for this man and call it a career.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I don't know if I got that wrong.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
No, you didn't. You didn't get that wrong. I mean
Kirk Kirbstreet was he pretty much saying his words.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
And they didn't Even with McAfee, it was like that
was the perfect time McAfee is there, so something had
to be happening behind the scenes.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
But it's tough to have to like force somebody to
step away.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
When like they do it all the time, but you're
there for four plus decades. Dicky, they forced out, forced out,
and they brought him back and brought him back.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
I mean, Dicky V has a lifetime pass and we're
gonna do a ceremony for him every single time it
comes back, which.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
I love man like he Brown was, by the way, crazy,
He's been alive for every single NBA game ever take place.
But like I did, all due respect like a legend here,
Like I couldn't listen to he Brown call game. I
was over it by the end there, and like, I
don't know, it's hard to make a guy walk away.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Huby Brown I loved because he was full of great analysis.
He just didn't know how to blend that into a broadcast,
like when you speak when you don't speak. But for
the point with Lee Corso, they really limited his appearances
the last couple of years, like he didn't travel everywhere,
and he really opened the show and closed the show,
especially when Nick Saban came along he wasn't really on it.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
He was sick sometimes ninety years old.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Wow, well they're gonna allow him to put the headset
on and one more time or the mascot had one
more time, and then we'll see that's it and.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
He deserves all the tributes.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Absolutely. Think thirty eight years college came legend and he
was a legendary coach. I still love them legs. Not
so fast, Yeah, you can't say that without saying shout
out Lee Corso. Yeah, not so fast, my friend. Great stuff.
But again McAfee is there, hand the bataon off and
get out of the way. Yeah, that show, he is

(03:59):
the show. He has raised it to another level. Just
and I'm not saying hand the keys over to him,
but he's the focal point. You got Herbstreet, Saban, Saban's
fantastic terrifict.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
That show is the best show in any sport in
terms of it's not studio shows on the road, but
in terms of an analysis show, a studio show what
everyone to call, it's the best in any sports. You
have the ridiculousness of McAfee, he's an amazing entertainer, and
then you have Saban, who's also on TV. But that's
levelheaded analysis. Kirk is a great analyst. If the best
hosts don't really know what Desmond Howard does, but he's

(04:31):
over there and the left in the Yeah, he does
a good thing.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
They got rid of David Polk a few years ago.
That shows is perfect, it really is. And look it starts,
it ends with the crowd participation. Yeah, you know, but
I will give credit that Fox and they're big neon kickoff.
They are getting big time tailgate and people showing up
as well. So if you throw a party, people want
a party.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, that's all.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
But there's a different level when you get Pat McAfee
singing the theme songs that nobody knows the words to,
yet he doesn't forget and he gets the whole crowd
doing it like it's just it's it's next level. That
dude is a bona fide entertainer and one of the
best to ever do it. And I've been saying that
for a long damn time.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Race.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
I was trying to find some old tweets of you
on Lee Corso can't come up with nothing. I couldn't
find anything. I did find a tweet I did want
to bring up from twenty nineteen. Okay from Sean Brace
crushed a six pack of Insomnia cookies late last night, Like,
come on, a damn cookie shop is open at midnight
and there's nothing else around.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Not fair at all.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Try to stop at three, no shot all six no milk,
raw dog, I'm a shake.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
And some is the best.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I tweeted that full thing. Yeah, can you tell me
what time at night? I tweeted that ten am.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, yeah, this was a guilty admission in the morning.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
That was a long tweet. That was me trying to
make myself feel.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Better on that one is the best ninety one like
raw dog, no milk. I think that one actually got
picked up by an outlet, the uh More than the Curve,
which is a website that covers all things Concha hocken
oh well in the surrounding area. And the guy was like,
raw dog, no milk. He's just like taking he was

(06:10):
having fun with it. But yeah, Insomnia cookies, yes, they
are very expensive, but damn.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Good great great sneaker doodle and oatmeal. Oh Man, snickerdoodle
is probably my favorite. It's amazing. Yeah, it's a really
good cookie. I'm not a fan of the Crumble like
a couple of gummies.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Rumble Cookie.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Wasn't a fan of the Grumble Are you abby? Got No?

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Not?

Speaker 4 (06:29):
In college there was an Insomnia Cookies nearby, so we
would we would eat a lot of I was so
we would eat a lot of late night insomnia cookies.
Crumble I actually had for the first time recently. I
loved it, really. I thought it was phenomenal. Different kind
of cookie, but it's like that soft just bigger Dobe year.
I liked it.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Crazy expensive too, Yeah, they're all expensive to get what
they can.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Would you trade Joel and Bid for a Crumble cookie?

Speaker 5 (06:52):
I would maybe in an insomnia Insomnia far better than Crumble.
I'm strongly in that camp.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
No, I'm with you on that, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
So we got some other odds in his before we
get into the NBA conversation real quick. Stanley Cup playoff boys,
who you got a vegkan for sure? Okay, you guys
are taking the caps? Huh yeah, Washingtons in it. Unbelievable flyers,
Flyers are not at it. Team futures just to go over.
The Panthers are plus eight hundred to win Stanley Cup.
Colorado Avalanche eight to one. Lightning nine to one, Edmonton
Oilers nine to one, Dallas Stars nine to one, Hurricanes

(07:20):
nine to one.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Looks pretty tight.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Where is Washington in there? They get eliminated. No, hell, no,
eleven to one. Okay again one of the last year.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
It's all tight.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
It's there's ten teams from eight to eleven, eight plus
eight hundred to eleven hundred. Ten teams are locked into
that that zone. And then you got to drop off
to the Kings twenty to one, Devil's thirty one Outawa
thirty five to one, Minnesota thirty five to one, Saint
Louis forty one, Canadians one hundred to one. I'll tell
you where I'm at. Watch out for the Winnipeg Jets.

(07:53):
Winnipeg Jets, I'll be locked in.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Got fair, what you got a favorite fler? Moving on?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I think Rogers, the Jesert some Canadian A. All right,
let's go ahead and get on over to the world
of the NBA. And I want to open up with
what's taking place in Phoenix. They fired coach Bud a
couple of days ago. The owner for Phoenix just spoke
and had some things to say about coach Bud. I
think I really want to focus the conversation on Kevin

(08:20):
Duranto more.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Than anything, because he's very opinionated.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
He'll put himself out there, searches his name, maybe probably
gets tagged a whole.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Bunch and doesn't care to He'll respond to anybody.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
To me, Kevin Durant is still a high profile player
that can deliver and clutch moments and still score a
ton of baskets and a guy that I would want
on my team.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah. Am I wrong on that?

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Absolutely not, and was very good this year. Overall, the
Sons wear a mess. I think very little of those
issues I correlate to Kevin Durant. There there's a lot
of mistakes that were made with this Sun's franchise that
they certainly zagged when the rest of the league has zigged.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
In terms of I'm gonna tweat Kevin Durant.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
We're talking about him right now, and by the way,
he will join honestly, Yeah, we'll have to say something negative.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
He only responds people negative.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, A quick point about that.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
I kind of think it's cool that he's as online
as he is, and I think it also says a
lot about like society that there's one of the like
twenty five best basketball players of all time that you
have direct access to that is allowing you this direct access.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
And all people want to do is just argue with
him at twenty one million followers. Yeah, but didn't he
run an.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Originally he was running a burner and putting all his
thoughts by a burner, and I get why people were
critical of that. Now we're at the point where he's
just putting it out there behind his actual name and
everything he feels and believes in, going at fans and
defending himself to himself, sticking up for himself. He's putting
his name out there and that's cool. Like people are
saying he's sensitive, It's like the guy genuinely loves basketball.

(09:49):
He just loves to hoop and he loves talking hoop
and he loves everything basketball. So the guy wants to
get on Twitter and just talk hoop with people, like
I know, people that have dm'd him and criticizing him,
and he he talks back, and he talks back to
them and he just says, he just like ask them
for their basketball opinion of why they think this when
he shouldn't care and he probably doesn't really care about

(10:09):
their basketball opinion.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
But I think that's cool. I think it's awesome that
he does. Look, Kevin Durant is one of the best
scores I've ever seen. He's been doing it for a
long long time. And I know he's going to be available,
Like he's going to be moved this offseason.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Yeah, Now, if he ends up with the Knicks, is
that it? I think it's like mathematically impossible. I don't
see any pathway for that.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
If he wants to play there, they can't move around
money and figure out a way to get him underneath
the cap and all that.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
So with like the current situation, at minimum, it has
to be a three team trade wherever based on the
cb amplications that Phoenix is dealing with because they're.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
In the worst spot and those details.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Yeah, yeah, like I as much as like it feels
a foregone conclusion that he's traded, logistically, it's going to
be really difficult to take it happen. Houston is the
only one that seems to make sense. And the other
part of that being that they control Phoenix is draft picks,
so there's not kind of a clear match with that
as well, and financially they could make it happen. And
also from Houston side of things, same point I just
made with Julian not having that you know, the guy

(11:09):
you want to go to in.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Crunch time, Kevin Durant would solve that problem there.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
So that's probably the team that if I was to
point to that makes sense, it is Kevin Durant and Houston.
But I'm gonna bring it back to there are gonna
be some huge hoops to jump through to even make
it possible to make a trade. So is he back
with Phoenix, No, no chance, but probably not. But I'm
not as sold on that as I think the consensus is.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
I don't think he wants to be there. They try
to ship him out at the deadline, Why would he
want to go back to that place? I mean more.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Logistics is why I'm getting caught up in this, Like
Houston's possible.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Houston's possible because, like you said, they have those picks
that or the Sons, and the Sons are gonna want
to get those picks back because they're about to not
into a full tank mode, but they're going to be
in the lottery most of these next few years, so
they're gonna want thrown picks back. So that's a possibility.
They also have some younger assets. I mean there's guys
like Cam Whitmore who doesn't even see the floor as
like Shepherd, they'll only even see the flare floor. So
they have assets that a lot of teams are gonna want,

(12:01):
and they're gonna make a big splash once. I think
they're gonna be out in the first round here. But
the Knicks aren't a possibility because your only real asset
is mckel bridges. They got rid of all their picks
to acquire mckel bridges. Unless it's a three team deal
and he's not there, I can't really see the Suns
taking back of mckl bridges.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, it is intriguing from Kevin Durant's point of view
where he's going to end up, because I still think
he's playing at a high level and you know what, man,
I'd like to see him, you know, playing a team
that's worth the damn again. But he's got to look
himself in the mirror as well that the Phoenix Sun's
gonna work out. I get it he might have played well,
but it's unacceptable. I actually agree with the owner, but
the issue I have is he's already funeral on what

(12:41):
it's unacceptable what they did thirty eight when that type.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
But he started eight and one. By the way, who's
that fault for that?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
The owner?

Speaker 2 (12:49):
And so let's get that okay, But he's the one
that made these big splashes.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
No idea to build a roster together. Just oh, these
talented names, big names who had accept during the twenty tens,
let me just put their names together a creating a
basketball team.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Another bad player? That was where was Ayton moved in?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Because he went to Portland Cartland? Right?

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Yeah, then get anything returned from him. He was the
first overall pick. It was in the Nurkic.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
But yeah, he's he's the he's a loser like a
Aiden's frustrating to me because I am a believer in
him from a talent perspective, like purely, how good are
you at basketball? The dude can play, but he just
doesn't have the you know what you have with the
fire and the gut or the will to compete. And
the guy that's far far bigger problem with this from
Phoenix perspective is Bradley Beal, who's all those same issues.
You're gonna look at his contract for a second for

(13:36):
a starter is a no trade clause, so you can't
just ship him out without his approval. And I keep
seeing this zero percent chance Bradley Beal's back. It's like, well,
he has something to say about that.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
He's not going anywhere.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
It's making fifty million dollars next year, fifty three million
in the following year, and then has a fifty seven
million dollar player option for the following season. So three
more seasons with Bradley Beal, and again he kind of
controls his destiny.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Here.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
I don't see wherell where Phoenix can be competitive with
brad gilst on this roster. He was laughing as Steph
Curry is scoring over him in the tail end of
the season. Here the guy doesn't care.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Yeah, And there an interesting part real quick is that
Mark Bartelstein is Bradley Gil's agent who alsops a few
guys on the Suns. Yea. His son is the CEO
of the Sons. So so there's a lot of like
behind the scene politics that went into some of these
some of these decisions.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
And Rob, how could your dad be an agent and
you're a CEO of a basketball team. That's an interesting scenario.
There more common than you think.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Why wouldn't you take that job if you're the son?

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Oh, absolutely no.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Hey, Jack, forrest check and he says, what are your
your guys thoughts on John Morant's recent celebrations.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I'm we talked about this a little. I don't mind
the grenade. I'm pro I mind it.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I'm not like people are gonna give me slack for like, oh,
like you're an old man, like oh you're you're a
boom or whatever. The point I was going to go there,
but trust I've heard that play. The point is he's
giving a middle finger to the commissioner. It's like, those

(15:05):
celebrations are fine if anyone else does them. You got
suspended for flashing a gun on ig Live, then you
do the celebration again. The commissioner finds you, tells you
to knock it off, and then you come back and
toss the grenade. It's like, come on, come on, dude,
you're giving a f you to the commissioner, your middle
finger up to the commission It's disrespectful. It shows how

(15:26):
much he lacks self awareness. And it's like, everything you've
been through, you still have so much to prove from
an off court perspective doing what you and on court
it's like what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (15:36):
And like I it's blown my mind the disconnect from
people who constantly throw They're like, well, guys do the
gun celebration all the time.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
It's like those guys didn't flash of gold on ig
Livel Bridges who does it all the time.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Flash.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
I've always been anti gun, you know, I hate the
noises when DJs use it.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
And I'm not.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Going to say anything deeper than that, but I hate it.
I hate it when you hearing like I'm not I'm
not a you know, we do have a serious gun
problem in this country specifically and then here in Philadelphia,
and I just feel like sometimes we glorize it and
and you look at these young guns. Are these young
kids they can tell you like it's even they're even

(16:16):
crazier these days when it comes to that, I.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Will say, speaking of guns untold, remember there's Netflix documentaries
that come out like once ether the one that they're
coming out with this summer. I believe maybe it's even
in May is the Gilbert or yeah, gun Shooting Guards.
I think it's called Shooting Guards. Great, great name, but
that story is incredible it's it's it's amazing. And the
guy who he was disputing with why he brought the

(16:40):
guns in was out of the league and then had
some like serious like murder chargers. Yeah, oh yeah, that's
what it was. Murder charge I didn't know that yesterday.
I think the trailer I'm really excited to watch. So
who's putting the money behind this documentary? Gilbertyus Netflix produced
all these untold shout out Netflix, big fan netflixing these days.
So yeah, and Gilbert Arenas is it's just a crazy

(17:02):
individual as well as making a name for himself in
this date and age.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
He said the Oklahoma City Founder have a zero percent
chance of winning a championship today.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yes see, you know he said like jos wasn't even
a top ten player long It's like that's how you
get on NBC in a contract. That's why Marcus Morris
on First Take every day because he said, is in
a top ten player?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Is he? On television? They say the dumbest, most ridiculous stuff.
Steve and I would be.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
Like, oh, to be super if I'm Marcus Morris. I'm
also not giving Nikolakic any flowers after you know.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
There's personal animosity. Yes, but it's still like, come on,
not a top ten.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Look, I am willing to give anybody an opportunity that's
trying to get into the game of media that played
the game as long as as he did. He's been
in the league for a long time, right, played on
some good teams. I'm sure he's got great opinions, and
but he's just not good on television.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
And I will say I've talked him a couple of times.
Incredibly nice guy, been really cool with me. Yeah, he's
just not good on television. It's like, yeah, you gotta
be good at But also a lot of these guys.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Don't have good intentions to go in there to spew
hot takes because they know that's the.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
And that's what the networks.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Yeah, and not necessarily I talk about bask I can
imagine what greenies like in the morning. Oh that's a
good hot day, right there.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Came back, comment came back, comment like we're joking about
the yoke and stuff. How was crazy he's saying it.
I guarantee like they're watching this being like this is awesome.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
They know the game, that's game. If producers love that
stuff to eat that up.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Oh, Yeah, well, he is definitely getting some work and
he's getting some run right now. For something that he
did say, uh when he talked about the Memphis Grizzlies
shortstop must be tough down there, it says Bank Park.
We've seen a couple of airs so far. Once again,
Philly is currently leading five to one. We will move off.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Of what Marksmore said about the Memphis Grizzy and keep
it moving.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Let's get on over to the court and I want
to talk about these two games tomorrow night. First and foremost,
Let's start off with the second game because that's the
one that's more intriguing for me. And wow, what are
we doing with that number at six and a half?
To mean, it's a red flag?

Speaker 5 (19:02):
See for me, you ignore it completely and hit that
plus two twenty on the money line here because I
think the Dallas Mavericks win again. I think Anthony Davis
is gonna be the best player on the floor again.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
For all these.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Concerns we're talking about John Morant, a guy.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Why six and a half? Though? I think where do
we get that number from?

Speaker 5 (19:17):
I mean, I don't think there's like really a gauge
for how to handicap this Mavericks team right now, like
Anthony Davis, including last night, has played ten games with
this roster that we've seen a million different roster combination.
There were games where they did not have enough players
to like play games this year. That's what they were
working with, given G League guys chances and that kind
of thing. So I think it's a little bit of
their unsure the bookmaking wise what to do with that.

(19:38):
And like Memphis is still more proven, like there was
a you know, they were in the mix all season,
So I think it boils down to that.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
But don't have a better answer.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
In that, all right, yeah, because that's the thing that
stands up to me the most. It's like, wait six
and a half, Like, I get it, the rest might
come into play here. But the Dallas Mavericks, for my money,
are playing some really good basketball. They look good against
the Sacramento Kingks. So there, right and now wave is
a big time game. And I don't think that Memphis Grizzly,
like I should be worried about the Memphis Grizzlies. Bain
played well, Moran stinged up, you know, they have some pieces.

(20:09):
But I still think the Mavericks could probably go in
there and win the game out right plus two twenty,
But that number six and a half scares me.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
I'm with you on that. I think it actually helps
the MAVs being on the road these days. I think
they're so sick of being at home, and if that
first playing game was at home, it might have been
a different story because those fans, these fans want them
to lose the play and they don't even want them
to make the playoffs. They've already done with these teams,
but the fans aren't focused on any of the basketball.
And some of the MAVs players have talked about it,

(20:36):
it's like he's like, can you guys relax, Like, like,
we know you want Nico fire, but it's not helping
us on the court when we're actually out there playing
for them. Yeah, I mean it's not. They didn't get
themselves in this situation. Their management and ownership did, so
I'm with them on that. But I do think it
helps being on the road. And I'm with you guys
that this MAVs team is actually better than people realize,
especially since Anthony Davis came back. They're not going to

(20:57):
make any noise if they get that a seed. But
I think they could beat the Grizzlies out right, especially
with John Morant's ankle, which is is gonna be a concern.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
It's gotta be something that we were talking about the
top of the list. Yeah, John Morant when he came
took the floor last time out versus the Warriors in
the first quarter, he looked vintage joll beat. He's what
twenty seven years old? That might be high. He might
be younger than that.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
He might be.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Where'd he go to college?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
H Murray State twenty five? Go Nice Callege twenty five? Yeah,
and I'm saying vintage Morant.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
But he did.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
He looked great and then he got ding dumb.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
And that is kind of what John Morant is, right,
He gets stinged up and he can't help himself off
the floor.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Either with all the stupid stuff that he's got involved in.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Anyways, answer your question, Jack, I am a big fan
of the grenade bomb keeping it moving, all right? Anything
else you want to add on that game? So you
are pro Dallas winning plus two twenty. You had Dallas
on the road against Sacramento plus one sixty, wasn't he.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Less got up to two hundred by the end.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
It was plus Wow. And then you are on the
tonight with Dallas. I'm on Dallas to excuse me, Friday nights. Friday, yeah,
Friday night as well. But I was on Sacramento last night.
No I know.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
But for Dallas on Friday, you say you're gonna lay
it or you're gonna take lay with the points and
the money line.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
Okay, all right, I like that excellent stuff. All right.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
First game on the card, Miami and Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I was surprised, got that one wrong, got one right
last night, got one wrong. I was very surprised to
see the way that the Miami Heat went out there
and played against Chicago Bulls. At the end of the day,
Damn me for believing in the Chicago Bulls.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
Yeah. Yeah. Throughout the stretch where they were playing well
and Josh Gitty was playing well, a lot of guys contributing,
they were playing some awful teams, mostly that we're all
trying to tank all towards the bottom of the things.
They didn't play any good important Yeah, and it's not
like the Heat or some good team, but they're very
well coached, good enough group where it's like, all right,
they played a team that was actually trying to win,

(22:50):
and that's what they looked like.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
We did discuss Tyler Hero, though Tyler Hero dropped thirty eight,
Great Bulls eliminated once again, one on nine ninety to
this matchup. Anybody feeling positive, anybody feeling really good about
their take here?

Speaker 5 (23:04):
I like Miami in this game. It blows my mind
they keep doing it.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Like.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
I genuinely think that first half that they put together
yesterday was the best half that they've produced all season.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Really.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
It was locked in on both sides of the ball. Defensively,
they imposed themselves and I think kind of one of
the humbling takeaways that I had to eat my take
about being a pro Josh Giddy guy and how well
that he had played of late. There's a gap between
Tyler Hero and Josh Giddy and that's kind of a
humbling reality that you got to face if you're the
Bulls franchise as far as building for it there. So
I do like Miami. I think Atlanta showed some real flaws.

(23:34):
The hissy fit from Chrery Hung was obviously concerned. I
think he'll be better in this game, and he was
bothered by the defense. But I think Miami has that
same ability to bother him. So I do think the
Heat get the job them.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I'm on the Heat as well. Look, this game is
going to be entertaining at all, but the Hawk's defense
has been so bad this year, even with a defensive
player that your candidate, and Dyson Daniels, I think Tyler
Hero goes off again. And I just think this Miami
team is too well coached and they've been in these
situations before. Give Miami another eat seed eight seed, all right, So.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Those games are going down tomorrow night, and then we
get into the main event on Saturday. Finally, the NBA Playoffs.
Remember it used to be forty days and forty games
and forty nights. That's what the NBA Playoffs used to be,
I think, So I think that's what it used to be,
forty games and forty nights. They're like TNT used to
run that, like, yeah, I could be mistaken on that,
but I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 5 (24:23):
Yeah yeah, because they don't even know the amount of
games really, because you know series like yeah, win safety seven.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Forty games and forty nights was like the TNT's playoff
coverage was nicknamed forty games and forty nights. During the
first round T and T airs games from Sunday to
Thursday nights, with occasional broadcast on Saturday. Second round TNT
airs play blah blah blah blah. So yeah, that's what
their nickname was. Forty games and forty nights.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
I don't know if they crowned a champion in forty nights.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
That's man's well now it is. Yeah, I was back
in two thousand and then.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
I guess series were like best of five and in
two thousand and.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Three it stopped.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
We got my my Detroit Pistons started to chirp already,
which I love. Malik Beasley was asked about Karl Anthony Towns.
He said, I'm not worried about Cat. I don't think
about Cat. He's the least of my words. I mean,
love it to be fair. That's not gonna be his matchups.
So I think Kat might quit basketball by the end
of the series. I think Isaiah, we just go right
into that series. I think Isaiah Steward might drive this
guy to.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Isaiah Stewart is a maniac on the floor and off
as well. More objections for Isaiah Stewart. Then there will
be Pistons wins wins in the series. I put my
money on that.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
It would not shock me. If we're talking for ejections.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
You know what, even one.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
I just want to see him escape one time, like,
don't beat don't hold him back.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
He's gonna kill him. Yeah, absolutely, I don't want to.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
I believe he's a tough guy.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
I'm not. He the toughest guy in the NBA four.
That's been a thing for years now. He gets the
fights all the time. He's James Johnson was like a
word though he's actually a yeah. But isaiahs Through is
the doll. That guy is that guy.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
He went after Lebron, and that's a difference go after anybody.
You're going after Lebron and Lebron didn't want any part
of it.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
A lot of guys after Dylan Brooks is going after Lebron.
Lebron A punk Dyl, Yeah, Dylan Brooks is a fake guy,
big tough guy. He's not somebody want to scratch and
he can't back it up. He's not like a fake
tough guy.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
He was a great defend I personally would not go
up and pick a fight with him.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
I got there. But he's a great defender, Like he
shows his toughness. Would you want Dylan Brooks on your team?

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Is he good enough with everything that revolves around his style?

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Is? I think he has? He had to do too much.
He had too much of an offensive role when he
was with the Grizzlies, and that's not really what what
his role should be. It should be as a as
a great defender and a guy who can space the
floor knockdown threes. I don't.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
I like it depends on the roster.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
I'm not clamoring to bring Dylan Brooks into my team,
but if you have a roster where he fits, sure.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Yeah, my answer is yes to that that, like, you
gotta put up with the nonsense. There will be nonsense,
but like he's a better basketball player than he sometimes
gets credit because of all the noise.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Yeah. And look, you know, you listen to some great
podcasts out there for some players like Pat Bev and
he was saying, you know, the key to uh making
your NBA career last long is find your roles.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Yeah, he's right. Stillan Brooks has a role, that's yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
I'm sure we're saying after that Grizzlies run and ended
really badly, people were just making the like get where
you learned Chinese jokes? And everything to him was like
come on, like this guy will have a place in
the league for a long time. He got paid, man, Yeah, pretty,
I mean that was an overpay by the Rockets just
to bring in some vets to surround themselves with young dudes,
which has worked, by the way him and Fred van Fleet.
But still he deserves his money, all right.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
As far as the Pistons and Knicks, it's well documented.
You guys are not seeing eye to eye on this.
Can I make my case a little little more love
to hear you? Let's let me go down the list. Well,
first of all, the series price on this pretty short list,
this the series price, just to get everybody caught up,
is crazy.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
It's minus four hundred for the Knicks. Pistons are plus
three ten.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
All right, So I will start with the Kate cunning
hand point, which I made I feel pretty strongly. Kate
Cunningham's a better overall basketball player than Jayleen Bronson based
off what like as a complete player. Jalen Bronson's a
better scorer, there's no doubt about It's.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Okay, But like when people say, like, what's the most
important thing in basketball, and because of how great of
a score he is, he's a he becomes a great creator,
like he's been a great pastor because of how much
defensive attention is on him.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
He's not as good of a playmaker as Kate Cunningham.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Sure, but Jalen Bruns has done a great job in
last few playoffs of being a playmaker out of blitzes,
wh when teams blitzes. He's been a great job being
a playmaker. And we haven't necessarily seen that from Keith.
So he's still like he's such a much better scorer that.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
To your point about scoring being the most important I
kind of think that's not the case in the series.
I kind of think defense is gonna be the most
important story, and Kate is a miles better defender than
Jayleen Bronson too. To go down beyond that, let me
go down the Knicks roster here. I don't think Carl
Anthony Towns is even really playable in this series.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
I like, not playable.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
You don't think that he's that Kate Cunningham is going
to circle him and take him every single possession we look.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Of course, of course they're going to do that. He
is a phenomenal all NBA offensive talent. Of course he's playable.
This is what like. Yes, of course they're gonna target
him in the pick and roll. But what the Knicks
are gonna do is they're gonna put Josh Hart on
Jalen Durant, who's their primary screener, and every time, and yes,
whoever Cat guards, which could be like a Tobias Harris,
they're gonna try to put him in action. But there's

(29:19):
the Knicks do this decently well. The Celtics do this
phenomenally of pre switching where they're just gonna make sure
that Cat or try as much as possible make sure
Cat isn't in the action.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
They're gonna try to do that. But the Pistons aren't
some offensive juggernaut. So also, he did score twenty five
points in that game last time out against the Piss
that I'm worried about it.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
It's the other side of the floor, and keep I
walk with you down this lane here. So if they're
defending it that way, if that means they're going small,
that cat's playing the five correct, yeah, which we'll we'll do.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
So then the.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
Pistons are just gonna absolutely murder this team on the
boards that Jalen Darren, Isaiah Stewart, They're going to swarm
the offensive boards in a way that Cat is not
gonna be able to hold up against.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
I think that's a val concern. The Pistons are a
better rebounding team than the Nick Josh Hard is phenomenal defenders,
So that's why you can kind of trust Josh Hart
actually guarding a five in Jalen Duran because he's not nominal.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
He's not rebounding, Jail's not out.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
He is tough enough where he can box a guy
at like Jalen Duran out and get him out of
the picture. The offensive the rebounds are a concerned. They're
not that big of a factor to me where it
will swing the series.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
What happens when ogn Noby's hamstring and Everily pops in
Game two, all right, Well.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
That I don't have an answer for it, But I
think long term the Knicks, that's a concern of how
much these guys have to play and their depth. But
this is one series they're gonna get through, just like
the against the six Ers. They got through one series
and then it became a concern in the second series.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Can you remind me what the Pistons record was against
the Knicks to share.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Well, should I remind you that it was three and one.
In those three losses that the Knicks suffered, they were
missing at least one starter in two of them, so
there's only one actual valid loss because the Knicks are
now entering the season healthy.

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Can you also remind me what the next record was
against the top three team?

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Well?

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Is that relevant? We're talking about Pistons, and again, to
give you context. You know what I'm gonna say, you
know the context.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
The context is that, yes, they were oh and eight
against the Celtics and Caves oh ten if the thunder
in there. Four of those games, again, the Knicks are
missing one starter, and then two of those games when
they were actually at full strength.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
We're back in October. We're talking about two of the
first three games of this season. October basketball. I don't
really care about. It's not relevant. So there was two
legitimate losses, and one of them was a loss to
the Celtics where the game went to overtime and the
Knicks should have won a regulation.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
And that was last week.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
So these are not valid arguments about their oh and
ten Mark.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
I'm going off results here.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
I'm not doing the hypotheticals and they play the games
for a reason here, Oh and ten ish and ten
one in.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Three is one in three.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
These are things that actually happened on the court.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Yes, but the Knicks or like, how can you discount
the fact that the Knicks are healthy right now and
during this postseason, their entire lineup will play, We'll play.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
It, give it in the minutes. It ada, okay, but like,
but right now they're healthy. So them suffering injuries in
random January games and guys not playing isn't really relevant
to me against against the Pistons. Also, I was I
will say, I was watching. We need to put a
bet on this, just so you know, Well, we'll do
it anything and a half. Let's I'll do the five.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
And a half.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
There's no way the Knicks are are going more than
five games.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
I have slight concern that the Pistons don't lose two games,
but I'll still rock with the five.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
And I will I was watching. I was watching the
Knicks Pistons game last I was watching the Nix Pistons
game last night from January one that the Pistons won
by five in in January, and it was actually an
interest that Knicks had full mix. We're at full strength. Interesting,
and what they did is Cade went off. He had
thirty six points, but twenty nine of those were in

(32:37):
the second half, and they were primarily guarding Kate cunning
in with mckel Bridges number one. They had some Og,
took some turns. OG's gonna be the primary defender on kid.
And what they also weren't doing at all was they
never sent doubles his way, which you don't really see
in regular season basketball that much, and they were just
scuarding him straight up with Og or mckel and mostly
mckel Caid was just straight cooking. That's fine, this is

(32:59):
playoff basketball. They're be sending a lot more double teams
his way, and it's gonna be on the next defense. Obviously, Brunson,
Kat Heart all those guys to rotate over, but sending
doubles Kaid's way is going to limit him and the Pistons.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Offense because they're not, again, not some offensive juggernaut. You
have to rely on guys like Tobias Harris in the playoffs.
We know how that goes.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
You have to rely on Osar Thompson Ron holland Malik
Beasley obviously a phenomenal shooter, but like Jalen Duran, not
great offensive guys. So they're gonna double all kid a
lot more, which is gonna hurt him because he's never
been in a playoff series before. Ever.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
If they're living and dying with Malik Beasley three pointers,
the Knicks are the Pistons win this series.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
I don't think they're gonna live and die with Leak
Bezy's three parts. I think you shade more towards him,
and you leave guys like Tobias Harris opening guys like open.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Malik Beasley shot forty one point six percent from three
on nine point three attemptions, three point leader.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
He led the entire NBA in threes.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
But that's what you tea. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
You shade towards him, though you leave other guys like
Tobias Harrison and and the sar Thompson. We need all
those guys to make plays, need to come up.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
With the wager. What's going to be the pay it's
even so, I mean, what's going to be the payoff.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
For the wager?

Speaker 2 (34:09):
From a Detroit, New York angle, we gotta find that
happy medium. I'll think about it because we do have
some time for Game ones on Sunday, right.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Sun Saturday is this Sunday? I could be wrong. Saturday
Saturday six o'clock. Saturday six o'clock. Yep, just came to memory. Huh,
Saturday six o'clock.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
And the Sunday is the Warriors and Rockets and Magic
and Celtics. Oh, I got my days round there. Saturday nights.
You got the Lakers Rocks. That's gonna be good stuff
there on Saturday night. To get the attention. Of course,
the NBA Playoffs get started at one o'clock though, with
the Bucks of Pacers. Can we move off of the
Knicks any bet?

Speaker 4 (34:47):
I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Dame is back in. Let's go ahead and hit some
of these rapid fire. We're coming down the home stretch here.
Dame is back in for Game one, apparently going to
fight back through the blood clot man. Wish him nothing
but the best. We love Dame, can't wait to see him.
Spread doesn't matter or the odds maker don't care. Pacers
are five and a half point favorites two twenty four
and a half. Game one series price wasn't it even

(35:08):
Nah Pacers are favorite. I want to say minus one
thirty five around that, Oh, no more than that, minus
one sixty five. Wow, Bucks are plus one thirty five.
Should we be reading into that that's spread there by
the odds makers.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
I honestly have a hard time figuring out what to
make of this series with the Dame kind of you know,
asterisk next to it a huge factor in that Eileen Indiana.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
I think Indiana wins it.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
They've been playing much better to the second half of
the season with Tyrese Halburn and leading the charge in that.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
But don't feel super strongly about this series.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
I'm a great I don't feel super strongly, but I'm
on the Bucks at least strongly. Probably I feel about
any series. But I'm on the Bucks. And that was
without Dame. I was on the Bucks when it was
just I thought just gi honest I thought Dame was
gonna be out of this series. With Dame coming back
at some point, I'm even more confident in the Bucks.
It's really I'm just I've never been a Tyre's Halliburn guy,
and he struggled against the Bucks a lot last series.
He only averaged sixteen points a game on forty three

(35:54):
percent shooting from the field and twenty nine percent from three.
So the Bucks have a lot of different guys with
Kevin Porter, Bobby Portis, all these guys that they can
throw at Tyrese and and really make it difficult for him.
So I'm I'm of the mindset that the Bucks are
gonna win whenever Dame comes back. If he does come back,
at some point, that's just to win. Giannis is playing
the best basketball of his career and the next The

(36:14):
Bucks are on an eight game winning streak heading into
the playoffs, and all those wins were without Dame. So
that's just Janni's sheer will. He's the best player in
the series by a massive margin. I think the Bucks
win this regardless. I'm sorry that you were breaking it down.
You know, fanatic getting violated. It's a it's a fake fanatic.
Oh that was a fake fanatic. What that was a

(36:37):
fan dressed up as a fanatic.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
No, he was just in there. He's in the stadium.
That was wild, like Philly crazy. This city is absolutely berserk.
With our sports team, we're a different monster and it's
just a complete different breed than anybody.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Out there in this country.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
You had some fan dressed up as a fake fanatic
a pretty good costume too. I thought it was real
taking pictures with the kids. If I'm the old man
and that's my daughter, I'm.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, get away.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Who's on the You don't know what's going on there?

Speaker 4 (37:05):
All right?

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
I apologize.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
But the Bucks, I'm really intrigued to see what Yiannis
can do because this is a guy that has already
won a championship and he could very well put this
team on his back. But I think the Pacers as
a team are better than the Bucks. So I'm gonna
take the Pacers to advance in this series.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
By the way, do you see the Cad cuttingham talking
trash to Gianni's leaked audio?

Speaker 3 (37:26):
Yes, hilarious.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
I can't repeat everything on here, but it was, yeah, oh,
Cad said something to you, honest. Giannis was arguing that
it should have been a foul on the floor and
it was clearly a shooting foul. Cad basically was like,
line it up, man, like, this is clearly a shooting foul,
and Giannis like goes back at him a little bit.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Kate just laughs right in his face and goes I
didn't know you talked like that, so funny.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Well he Jannis did the shimmy, though, Malik baby his
face and Beasley took some problem with that.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Do we agree on the Clippers and Nuggets series? We
got Clippers, but Clippers, yes.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Clip Clippers.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
I'm on the Clippers as well.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
A lot of public on the Clippers. I like the
second this came out, I was like, Clippers, Clippers, Clippers,
and now there's a lot of people on the Clippers.
They're playing. They've been one of the best things in
the NBA over the last two months. Kawhi has been
one of the best players in the NBA. How could
I ignore that? When you have Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Junior,
you have to trust. I trust the Clippers supporting cast more.
I'm on the Clippers and also a Zuboch, which you know, incredible. Yeah,

(38:25):
he's been awesome one of the They were just showing
on the TV earlier that he's one of the best
Jokic defenders all year. So I think you just scard
him straight up and can get his of course, though
he's gonna put up ungodly numbers thirty, fifteen and fifteen
something like that. But you make everyone else. You make
Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Junior, Christian Braun, all these guys beaching.
I like that.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
All right, let's see if we can agree on this.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
When Lakers tea Wolves, Lakers, Lakers, Lakers, Lakers gotta go Lakers, Yeah,
Lakers and six. Is there anything that Minnesota could turn
back the hands of time, go back to last year
what they had, bring that back in a bottle and beat.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
The Lakers here make it interesting in that case, yes,
I would say that, Like for all that I've just
said about Kat, like that was the ideal situation kind
of to him, to me, that you had to go
bear behind you, that you could kind of move like that,
and they I thought they built that roster out a
pretty proper way.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
If that was the case, I would talk about it.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
Also, just crazy from a franchise to have like the
most success you've ever had.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
And then just immediately blow it up. But whatever, you know,
it happened. Yeah it did. I think the Lakers win,
but it's a super competitive series. I just the only
way the Wolves really win is if Julius Randall has
a great series and like they're gonna try to get
the Anthean Wage is gonna get his even though they're
gonna double him a lot and throw a lot different
coverages his way. Like Julius Randall has has a great

(39:43):
has to have a great series. Dante DiVincenzo obviously has
to shoot the ball. Well. You need guys like the Kaile,
Alexander Walker, stepping up, Ja McDaniels, all of them. I
just don't necessarily trust that supporting cast. Like Julius Randall,
we know his playoff numbers. He's really struggling in the playoffs.
It's just like when it comes down to clutch and
like these last five minutes, when you need a bucket,
You've Austin Reeves, you have Lebron James, you have Luka Doncic.

(40:05):
I just don't see a way Lakers lose.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
All right, And anybody taking a shot that Orlando Magic
can make it interesting against Boston.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
I will not be.

Speaker 5 (40:14):
And by the way, on the Julius Randall struggles in
the playoffs. His first playoff run with the Knicks, he
shot twenty nine point eight percent from the field, his
second run with the Knicks thirty seven point four percent
from the field, twenty five point eight percent from three
averaged seventeen point one points per game, and I was
that one was with Brunson too, so he had less excuses.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
Yeah, Celtics, I do actually have a couple of ways
to play this series. Number one, I think they're the
maximum five games this goes. So I would play the
Celtics series spread minus three and a half, which is
plus one thirty or at least it was when I
was looking at it yesterday and writing about it, and
then Celtics to win in five games plus one seventy five.
So if you play those both ways, pretty much guaranteed

(40:55):
a profit, unless, of course, it goes six. But like
even if Jaylen brunts excuse me, j brown sits this series,
I don't see a way that this goes six. So
I'd play it both those ways.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
All right, Yeah, it's gonna be a tough match up there.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Of course, we know how good boss it is.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
And then finally Warriors and Rockets Rockets plus one fifty five,
Golden State minus one ninety. We heard Julian Edlough swing
for the defensive to Houston Rockets. Shavin Ar what do
you say to that?

Speaker 5 (41:20):
I'm still leaning Warriors, but I do think this is
gonna be way more battle than people are giving a
credit out.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
I'm gonna go Warriors in seven.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
This is really tough, Like everything from a basketball perspective says,
take the Warriors, because the Rockets are just so big.
I mean these they play these two big lineups, so
Steven al Adams and Opera and Sengoon, And when those
guys are on the floor together, they grab over fifty
percent of offensive rebounds. They grab over fifty percent of
their own team's misses. Like that's their offensive rebounding rate.

(41:49):
And that's how dominant they are on the class. And
the Warriors have to play small because they can't play
Kevon Looney or any of they don't don't really have
any other bigs, so they played Draymond at the five.
So the Rockets should take advantage of that. And they've
killed Steph Curry every time they've played last time basically, yeah,
like literally physically, Like I was watching their game last week.
They literally face guard him, base guarded him in the

(42:11):
second half with Dylan Brooks, Terry Eason, a Mean Thompson,
all these different guys. The second he walked over half
court and we just had his hands all over him,
So they made it so difficult for him. He's he
only had excuse me. He shot thirty six percent from
the field over those three games, and the Warriors averaged
ninety seven points per game against the Rockets in those
three games, down from their one hundred and sixteen points

(42:32):
per game per usual. The only thing I'm saying is
every basketball perspective, it's Rockets, Rockets, Rockets. The experience factor matters.
It just it matters so much. And like this is
like if Tom Brady was going up against a college quarterback,
like in terms of their experience levels, Like, the Warriors
just have so much experience. The Rockets don't have any experience,
and because of that this season, they'd won the worst
clutch offenses among all playoff teams.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
They just don't have a guy to get you a
bucket late in games.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
So I just think this Warrior's team, the experience factor,
it's gonna be a tough matchup for them when they
go small, which is pretty much all the time. I
just think the Warriors win. All right, A little.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Breakdown there on all things NBA playoffs once again, tomorrow night,
we got some do or die situations. Two good games

the NBA Playoffs on Saturday afternoon at one o'clock.

Speaker 2 (43:19):

Speaker 4 (43:29):
At DK network a dot com if you.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
Final thoughts, boys, nice work across the.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Board, and I just wanted, oh two things I need
to plug real quick if I could, before we get
to your final thoughts. First and foremost, as the warm
weather is here, boys, one thing goes.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Through my mind. Rita's Italian Ice.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Oh yeah, Rita's Ice dot com for a location near you.
And the cool thing about reatas is they're always trying
something new. Right, whatever the season is, they're always trying
something new. So if it's later in the fall, you
get the pumpkin spice Blend, sure, but right now they
got this sweet treat that has skittles in it. Love skittles,
absolutely love skittles. It's even better when it has redes

(44:14):
ice in it. So go to a Rita's near you
right now today this week is supposed to be eighty
degrees on Saturday, and scoop up one of those beautiful,
great tasting sweet skittles.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
Treats over at Rita's.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Once you get check out where the locations are near
you at Rita's ice dot com and sign up for
the rewards card as well.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
You might be able to get something free out of
it after.

Speaker 4 (44:34):
A few purchases as well.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
All right, final thoughts, Sam Austrie, I got nothing, but
you had a great show.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Though, great show, great show, great showl around. I love
the three man we for the whole Yeah, the whole
three outs doesn't get much better than that. Yeah, I
got nothing. Just enjoy the playoffs. Great great actual basketball
being pleased.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Oh yeah, I like that. Sean Minard.

Speaker 5 (44:56):
Let's go Pistons, baby, Detroit Nation. I ride with you
for as long as we got in this playoff run
so they can me become a Knicks fan. Yeah, man,
we all make choices in life. Minds survived with the
Detroit Pistons.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
I can dig that.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
I would.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
I would love to see.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
The New York Knicks lose in the first round because
Knicks fans are the absolute worst I'll be intolerable by
the way. Oh yeah, as you should as well. They
would be there, they would return it to you. Are
they still aren't? You worry? But Knicks fans aren't even
and I know a lot of them. Knicks fans aren't
even that enthusiastic about this team or this one, like
they know they should probably be the Pistons and then

(45:31):
it's over and there was just there's just not that
much enthusiasm, I think and love, probably because last year's
team was just underdog's toughness.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
You know what. It reminds me of Sam?

Speaker 2 (45:40):
What's that those Sixers teams when they would be you
and I argued about it last week, but it does.
It's the same thing because the Sixer fans were kind
of in the same boat where it's like, yeah, they're good,
but are they going to be Boston?

Speaker 4 (45:52):
Are they gonna get to that? But I think Sixers
fans talk themselves into a little run every year.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
I'm surprised that the Knicks fans haven't, to be honest.

Speaker 4 (45:59):
Yeah, it's kind of weak.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
It's kind of weak, yeah, because they're a faked team
and I don't know what they exactly what.

Speaker 4 (46:04):
They want to do with the team because there's not
a lot of options moving forward.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
It went out and got everybody, so there's no excuses,
all right, troll Player Super Team Baby.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
Last, but not least two On Saturday, I planned on
getting out of the house and heading up the King
of Prussia and I am going to check out the
brand new showroom of Gerhart's Appliances. They got two brand
new showrooms, one in Phoenixville right now and the other
one in King of Prussia. King of Prussia right down

(46:32):
the road for me. So I'm gonna go check out
what they have to offer. Gearhart's Appliances in the Phillies
home team for a long long time, over eighty years
in fact, So support the home team. And if you
need a new appliance in your house, or you know,
maybe your mom needs a newfrigerator, you never know, you
want to hook her up.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
Mother's Day right around the corner.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
Go check out everything that Gerharts has to offer Gearharts
Appliance dot com. And oh, by the way, they got
some great spring sales going on, including for all my
people out there that like to do some barbecuing. You
have great specials on grills all that and more. Check
out what they have to offer at Carhart's Appliances dot com.
And if you're in the kop area, check out that
brand new showroom and I'll be there on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Great job across the board.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
Boys.

Speaker 2 (47:15):

Speaker 2 (47:33):

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Where's your microphone?

Speaker 4 (47:45):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (47:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (47:48):
Man, we are six one week away.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (47:50):
So anyways, they got a mock draft that's coming up next.
And then seven o'clock the round Table Heard around the.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
World Rustle Meania in Las Vegas, where I just saw
Coddy Road is gonna have Steven A.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
Smith as his manager.

Speaker 3 (48:05):
In Gosh, Steven is doing everything in the planning man.

Speaker 4 (48:10):
Everybody asked him to do it. Yeah. Charles Barkley when
he's like is he gonna run for? Would you vote
from presidents?

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Like Nomi had the better take. Bomoni was like, man,
you remember the movie Eddie. When Whoopy Goldberg became the
head coach of New York Knicks. Could you imagine Stephen
A became the new head coach in New York Knicks,
and what would you say next day?

Speaker 4 (48:28):
Like what are they doing? But we're gonna make him president.

Speaker 5 (48:32):
I think he's gonna run too, like yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
To play, yeah yeah, but that's like actual work, like
you gotta put in the work.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
He's literally clueless, like you knows nothing.

Speaker 4 (48:45):
He's just a debate debate sports, like like the blasphemy
that guys is but you don't think he would do that,
but he just is so uneducated about it. It's like,
just leave it to Shapiro. I'm always triggered.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
What I would ask you is do me a favor.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Stop telling us what you find interesting, and just tell
us what you feel.

Speaker 4 (49:06):
Great Jos Sapiro, all right, it's great stuff across the board.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
Shout out to the gov.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
Man.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
I know he went through some things.

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Full disclosure. I was supposed to do something with Governor
Shapiro on Monday. We're bringing it back.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
We will be doing it later.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
But man, we you know, we got to cool things
down because that is just unbelievable. And it cannot happen.
And I'm so oh, my goodness, and the fact that
the family was in the house, good grief. And Governor
Shapiro is just an incredible human being and come on, man,
let's uh, let's be better than that. Anywayside other side,
over to the mock draft. Appreciate everyone listening. I'll be

(49:40):
back live tomorrow three pm. Don't touch that dial. Bending
the Edge is next.
