Speaker 3 (00:09):
The Gambler's still taking with you here on a Tuesday,
Shabre's Luke Arcane hanging with you.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Phillies back in action taking on the Metropolitans. A little
bit later this evening, Christopher Sanchez on the Mound DraftKings,
showing Sanchez is a nice favorite minus one thirty five
total for the game coming in at eight, and again
the way that the Phils Phil's bats are at this

(00:43):
point in time, I don't know if I would vibe
with the Phillies getting it going. However, that is a low, low,
low number eight. It is warm up there. Yesterday just
didn't shock me. And again it got there at nine.
Understood because Bryce's stock goes yard in at ninth.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Ten. But oh, in no, like.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Early man, it's just tough. And if these hitters aren't
aggressive and you get a picture like you saw yesterday,
McGill just doesn't shock me that you know a picture
is going to dominate in that one in the total
score of nine last night, like these are the things
that just slidderneath the raidar. I got a million and

(01:24):
one things going on.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
So do you.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
The total last night was eight and Stott with his
home run, puts it over. If you took the you
had the over last night? I did?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
I did.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Yeah, it was at all of it city Field, Sorry,
I did. It was electric cash. It wasn't like hitting me.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It wasn't like a huge bat. It was like a
ten dollars bet. But no, it was.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
It was on that.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
I had a lot of fun with that run last night.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I'll tell you that that is insane. So Stock goes
yard in the night, the cash and the fight and
score four in the top of the night to go
over the total of eight. If you had the over, wow, yeah,
I feel free. If he had the other that Easter
Sunday carried over into Monday for you. I was trying

(02:21):
to get our resident and met fan in here, but
he's not answering my text. Mike, Mike Powers have no
idea where he is. But here was his opportunity, his
time to shine and allow him to talk a little
Mets baseball for anybody that wanted to get sick to
their stomach on their drive home. But I digress. All right,
we do have a couple of odds and ends. We'll

(02:43):
get over to the NBA. Speaking of the NBA, I'll
take you back day one of Sam Hankey and his
first draft and a gentleman by the name a young
point guard out of Syracuse. Well was the guy that
caught my attention. But Carter Williams. I liked mc w

(03:03):
I did. I go alright, this guy could play a
little everything. We had no idea what we were in
for as far as the early parts of Sam Hanky.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
No, but I mean he was a good player.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
He won Rookie of the Year. He won Rookie of
the Year in the NBA in a good start to
his career. Oh yeah, I liked Michael.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Didn't have a he didn't have a horrible NBA career.
Maybe for a high pick like that.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
He was top five. He was top five. He would actually, no,
I'd take it back. He wasn't. He was the eleventh pick.
I thought he was like five or five. I thought
he was around five, but he was. He was the
eleventh round pick or eleventh overall pick. Back in twenty thirteen.
I remember I interviewed Sam Hanky after that draft how
about that. That's a little throwback there live from p

(03:45):
COM right on City Line Avenue, p COM. Yeah, and
that's where they used to have their training. Anyways, Michael
Carter Williams, this is added nowhere. He apparently is making
his boxing debut. He will make his amateur boxing debut.

(04:06):
This is at ESPN dot com May twenty ninth in
New York. He's thirty three years old. He will face
a dude by the name of Sam Kativ and a
three round heavyweight bout. The event billed as the broad
Street Brawl. Did I just say it's in New York
broad Street? All right? Yeah? I got it. Isnt that Broadway?

(04:28):
Did they have a broad Street up there? We'll raise
funds for the Big Vision Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated
supporting young adults in the recovery from substance abuse. Okay, nice.
Carter Williams came on my radar about two months ago.
Ronson Frank of Uprising Promotions Total ESPN. One of the
fighters initially who signed up to fight at the event,
recommended Carter Williams as somebody who might be interested, and

(04:48):
we were connected. He thought the cause was really good.
He wanted to be a part of it. So is
he training to be a like you better be, dude.
Let me tell you something right now.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I'm trying to find a picture of Sam kativ I.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Every Wednesday, I am now taking a boxing class. All right,
I just want to I just want to say this,
this is a class. This isn't me getting in the ring.
I'll be full transparent. I think there's two dudes and
like twelve ladies in this gym, all right, but it
is by far the most sweat drenching workout that I

(05:22):
have ever been in, and every week I love it.
I bought my own boxing gloves. I got my own
Amazon boxing gloves twenty one dollars. I don't even know
they're all black. I'm like, let me go, I need
more padding. My hands are hurting afterwards. But the amount
of sweat that comes off my body after that workout,
it's insane. I wish I could do it five days

(05:42):
a week, but I don't know if I could.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Next Watch Party, let's do like a boxing tournament winner gets.
I don't know something.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
There is a Watch Party book for Thursday. I don't
know if it has been put up on the horizon. Yes,
it's it's for your You're more than welcome to join us.
It's at my house.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Oh hell yeah, there, let's go.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's at my house on Thursday night.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Oh you know what I gotta do Friday morning?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
What you gotta help with the bread? Right Saturday morning?
Nice little swag segue here. On Thursday night, we have
NFL Draft Round one and it all started. The idea
was because of Shan Bernard and Sam Austrey, who have

(06:33):
debated the New York Knicks Detroit Piston series to death
over the last three weeks. And I go, yo, we
should live stream a playoff game. And Sam was like, absolutely,
let's do the next in game three with Thursday night.
So it worked out well. So we're gonna do that
Game three on Thursday night. That is interesting.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Game is Sam like a closet Knicks fan, Like, what's
going on here? No, he's just defending his take, which
I respect.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh, definitely. He is a defender of the take.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
He's a little.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Mark Henry Junior versus Sam Oxtry in the battle of
defending your take.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
No way, I want no part of it.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
That's a barn burner inside.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I want no part of it. It gets a little
uncomfortable with him and shove Bernard. They're sitting next to
each other last last week, and I'm just like, oh God,
because Sam, if Sam speaks it, he believes it and
he's not backing down. Bernard will at least like jabb
you in and keep a conversation going, just not Sam.
Sam's like, no, I'm right, And this is why.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Let you put Sean.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Bernard who texts me, I mean every other day. Now,
this kid's at the driving and saying he's ready to
turn pro and golf. I mean like this, this is oh,
he's a range go even though you know he thinks
he's turning into a pro athlete play golf.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
But you know golfers aren't athlete. That's also what he says.
He's on we gotta That is what I wanted to do.
I want to debate Sean Bard on the air.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
He's a range goat. Huh is that what he is?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
He's the guy. Sean's the guy, you dude.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Nothing is better than when you get a text in
your buddy. They went to the range and he goes
I think figured something out.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Nope.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Every time. It's the funniest thing because then they hit
the Dude, it happened to my buddy.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
It happens. It happens to me every year, every.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Year, really quick.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Me and my buddy were at the range the other
day for like an hour, just just it's like hitting
some balls whatever, and we go out and play nine
after and all day on the range.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
He's swinging the driver.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
He's really trying to figure the driver out, like like
nice short swings, real nice.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
He's he's piping. I'm dead straight on the range.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
He's like, dude, I'm figuring it out. We go to
the first tay Sean, he almost hit it backwards. Yeah,
it happens, hit it backwards.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
There's nothing better than thinking you figured something out on
the range and then just having the work.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
It happened to me yesterday, Like we went up to
this range. I hit a hit like fifteen balls.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
I maybe sliced one or two, like okay, just but
the because all I did was bring three clubs. I
brought a driver, I brought the fifty six, and I
brought a seven iron, and I'm just like, all right,
let's go get it going. Got it going. Felt great
step out there on that first t we've gone and
then my first chip, I'm standing over the ball like,

(09:23):
oh my god, I don't know what to do. Like
the range is the range man? The range just not
It's not real what happens up there.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
It's not If if I played golf, how I hit
the ball in the range, we'd all be great.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
I would be on the corn Ferry.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, corn Faery, Corn Ferry Tour. Absolutely. Cs I, this
is coming in from Ash. Ash says CSI, apple Pie,
Bill and the science Guy Lakers in five.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
We probably shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
We should probably get off the topic never mind Shannon,
Yeah we should PROBA I get all smacked all right,
NBA play interesting news on.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
The timeline about Shannon today? Yeah, who knows? Anyways, moving on,
I do want to say this though, love the game
of golf. Get out there, try and just know that
the first thing that was told me when I got
my clubs when I was twenty years old. And it's
unfortunate because I wish I played golf when I was
a young buck never did. My dad didn't play till later,
and that's when we started playing. It's unfortunate wish we

(10:24):
were able to play growing up. And I can't wait.
With the birth of my son coming up here in
about three weeks from now, I can't wait. Hopefully he
likes the game of golf. I know my daughter likes
to swing the clubs. It's great. So we're not soon. Sorry,
Oh it's that soon. May fifteenth, brother, wife is pregnant. Pregnant. Huh,
I'm done. I'm kind that dude. I thought it was longer. No,

(10:45):
I'm cooked. I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
We're in We are in time in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Oh man, I'm so done.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
We're down to a wire.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Cook.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
May fifteenth, Oh five one, five, two five. Baby Brayce
coming our way, a baby boy, so cool. Eight yeah.
So I you know, I love the game of golf.
And just know with the game of golf, you're going
to suck, like, get it out of the way, just
let it go, rip it know you're going to But
just live the rules. Understand the concept of what it's

(11:14):
like to not walk in front of somebody's line, to
be quiet, to respect the game of golf, because that's
what it's all about. You're there for four hours and
you can't just be some schmo that's rolling in and
sweatpants and a t shirt and don't care like there's
more to it, man, and I enjoy the hell out
of getting there. I suck, but I absolutely love the
game of golf.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
I do. I mean I shot a seventy nine two
weeks ago and yesterday I was seven over. I shot
seven over through eighteen holes two weeks ago. Yesterday I
was seven over through seven So it tells y'all you
need you just never know, you never know.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
It's it's it's the beauty of the game, you know what.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I did have this tied into my notes, and I
wanted to bring this up since we're here real quick
on this, I want to give a shout out to
Justin Thomas, who set the course record or tied the
course record on Thursday.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
I believe he hied it Thursday.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Corrected. This is amazing. You ready for this?

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Now?

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Justin Thomas goes out there and wins a hilton Head
RBC Classic Invitational. Yeah, the RBC Heritage. Yeah, unbelievable. And
JT's one of the best in the game. We know
how good he is. Patrick McDonald from CBS Sports put
this out and it was a graphic that was on
the golf Channeltrick or Justin Thomas has the PGA Tour

(12:42):
course record or tied the course record at nine courses.
Nine he has three course records. He has tied six
of them. He has tied or has the course record
at nine professional golf courses in the country. That is

(13:04):
un including TPC Sawgrass where he shot a sixty two
a while a country a country club while a le
part of me out there, and in Hawaii where he
shot a fifty nine Harbor Town. He just shot a
sixty one on Friday or Thursday the Plantation course at

(13:25):
Cappelua sixty one JT is incredible that right there, that graphic.
I would literally have it printed out on T shirts
for my family if that was me. Oh I did
any family event.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
It's that. I mean, it's all I talk about. One
course record, It's all I talk about.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
If I if I shot a course record within the
next three months, Oh my gosh, that's all I I
talk about for the next two years.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Since it's insane to see this, this stack rapping about
this yeah and credible, man, I just wanted to put
that off tournam this weekend two that came down to
the wire. He made an awesome pot on the first
playoff hole. Hats off to Andrew Novak. He played awesome
this weekend too, really really good weekend. Just sometimes the

(14:16):
experience wins.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
I think that's kind of what it was.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Justin Thomas hit a sick approach shot on the playoff
hole and then rolled a twenty eight footer.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
I think it was for Bertie, it was. It was
nasty ending on someday.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Now, we rolled down to New Orleans for Desserts Classic,
where Rory and Shane Lowry won last year. It's tough
to pick out some winners for this upcoming one. What's
our next one? US Open? Is that our next major?

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
No, because PGA then you would, oh yeah, he moved it.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
PG Championships, like second week of May. That's opens in June.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yep, that's right, they change He opens in July.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Now.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I do want to bring that up because I did
drive by on my way last night yesterday to White Man,
or I drove by Ironomic, which is hosting the twenty
twenty six PGA Championship one year from now, which is
incredible to think about. But man, that place was special.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
That's a pure golf course.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Oh yeah, real, Hey, in the Philadelphia Cricket Club, which
we will be live for the Truest Championship. Whi's coming
up in two weeks first week of May, second week
of mayths in the middle of part. But we will
be live on Friday with Swinging and Ding it representing
the squad. My Philly Golf polo shirt I got on
right now. Of course, Moose Mays and Danielle will be

(15:30):
out there. We're trying to get Luke out there. I
will be out there. Powers are gonna be out there.
It's gonna be a great time. But we'll be live
on location from the Truest Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club
and Rory's playing it, Adam Scott's playing in, all the
big names. There's a lot of really good golfers playing
in this event. Yeah, Jim nance will be calling it
on Sunday. That tells you how big it is.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
I mean, I I send my weekly tweet out every week.
Jim Nantz is the greatest announcer of all time. He'll
just he'll tell you he's never he's he's never had
a bad call in the history of his career.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
It's just every single time. He's a professional, very he's
a pros pro.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
You know my favorite part about Jim nantzen really quick. Yeah,
he lets the moment speak for itself. He doesn't get
up there. Somebody went to golf.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Tournament and goes.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Golf.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, it's up there.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Rory McElroy wins the Majors and he goes. I forget
exactly what he said, something like the story is written. Yeah,
Rory McElroy has won the Masters, and then shut up.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
And talk for six minutes after that.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I just want to say a little controversial on my part.
Little controversial on my part. Here's where I push back.
I love it. Let it breathe absolutely, let it breathe.
The moment, the green he's walking up, it's when other
people start entering the video, the visual that I think
you have to tell people who are these people? Rory

(17:03):
was hugging. He did it in that one though he
did not and everybody was going nuts about Jim nantz
lett him. Let him talk and that's great. But then
once Rory went up into the crowd and he starts
to hug and Lowry's there and then it's it's.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
It was.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Rosie's wife. It was justin Rose's wife that nobody knew,
and Jim Nantz could have said it was it's Justin
Rose's wife. How about that. That's a special moment right there.
And he didn't say anything. Yeah, I was mad about that,
but everybody and everybody was like.

Speaker 6 (17:38):
Oh, jim Nance, jim Ance, let him talk, you, let
him breathe. No, dude, there's other people out there. Tell
us who these people are. I knew, but the majority
of America didn't know. Actually didn't know Justin Rose's wife was.
But I thought that was pretty damn cool to hear
the run.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
That tells you how good of a relationship they have,
the mclaroys and the Roses. And then here are he
just took the the green jacket from Justin Rose, and
you know he's hugging his wife. That was an unbelievable
moment that just went unnoticed because it was, oh, don't
say anything, just let the moment breathe for six minutes. Luke, Yeah,

(18:17):
I'll let a breathe, let a breathe anyways, love him
all right, I love God. He's also retiring in twenty
thirty six, So enjoy these while you have them.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
I'm cherishing them.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Don't worry all right, Powers is unavailable. He is out
and about making some sales, so got knock him dead there.
He said he's been waiting for that invite, so he
appreciates me. All right, well, you're not going to get
that invite unless they're playing the Mets. Let's go here,
he's talking me. That's fine, all right, yeah, I'll give

(18:49):
you one of these. Lord, there you go. All right,
let's get on over to the NBA side of things,
and let's open up with what took place last night
at It's in square guarded Harris with brunching right up
on him, down to three to two, Shrewder with a three,
bouncing and dropping in. Oh my goodness, yeah, oh my goodness,

(19:13):
it happened. And the Detroit Pistons one game two. But
I want to say, this should have won game one.
And what are we saying right now, Luke, if this
is a two to o series heading back to Detroit,
what are all of those Knicks fans saying they're firing everybody?

(19:36):
They are so heated, so upset because they should not
have one game one. I do want to give credit
what creditors due, because that atmosphere is electric. It's one
of the best in the NBA. It's one of the
best in professional sports, no doubt about it. And it
got to Detroit. There's definitely something to be said about
that they are young. No, Shooter is a guy that's
been there and done that global stage, X Y and Z.

(19:58):
He's amazing. But other than that, you got a lot
of young players on that Detroit Piston, the team that
have not been in this situation. Playoff basketball a whole
other monster. But they ended up coughing up Game one.
I want to know what we're saying. If they are
down two right now, the Knicks I'm talking about, and
I just think, man, that would be an insane storyline.

(20:18):
All the crying we'd be seeing, and there's no way
that they would come back and win that series if
they're down oh two now here we're at one to one.
I want to put this out there for the people
as far as the wagering is concerned, because I think
this is really interesting. We knew going into this series
that Detroit was a live dog. I didn't have them
winning it. I don't many people. I don't know many

(20:38):
people that did, but there were a lot of people,
specifically on this radio station. Guys like Sean Bernard and
forgive me, if from forgetting anybody else that said, you
absolutely need to take a piece of the plus four
hundred for the Detroit Pisses to win this series. It
was too big of a number to look the other way.
Plus four hundred, Right, they lose Game one the way

(20:58):
that they did, and I thought you could take a
lot away from that Game one loss in favor of
Detroit and imply that it was its highest plus six
fifty Detroit to win this series. Plus six fifty, you
could have got Detroit heading into Game two. Now we
are all square, one game apiece, and you can get
the Detroit Pistons a plus two hundred Knicks minus two

(21:21):
to fifty. I don't recommend that at all, taking the Knicks,
but Detroit plus two hundred, I still think that's a
pretty nice number. The Knicks are in.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
Trouble, Yeah they are, I think, I mean, I think
they absolutely are.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Like this is the Knicks team that like, I don't
really know if anybody truly deep down thinks the Knicks
are that good.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Like they had a good season, though game.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
They had a good season.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Onety one games, they were you know, like twenty something
games over five hundred, Like, they're obviously a good basketball team.
But the fact that this number heading into the series
was was plus four hundred. Whatever you said between two
teams that were split by seven regular season wins.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Right a Detroit one forty four, New York one fifty one.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
This was obviously on the books a game a series
from Vegas saying that this Pistons team has no chance.
They have to go play two games in the Garden.
Then obviously it comes back to Detroit. Blah blah bla
blah blah. But those those lines showed you that nobody
thought this this team had a chance.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
The Pistons are are They're.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Battling, like, they're playing gritty basketball and just like they're
just finding a way. I mean, some unbelievable basketball from
Ky Cottingham last night. Thirty three points, I mean, twelve rebounds,
three assist Tobias Harris man like and it's hilarious. And

(23:05):
I know every time we hear that name in Philly,
were just like.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Shut up, he stinks.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Unbelievable, He's playing really well, he's playing two games.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Who led the Pistons in minutes played last night? It's
Harris forty three minutes. He sat for five minutes of
the entire game six eleven.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
He let did he let all scores in game one?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Fifteen points, thirteen rebounds? I know he let all scores
at half?

Speaker 4 (23:32):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
I don't, yeah, cause you know what, I know, he
had twenty two and half with a buzzer beater to
go to halftime. But you're getting contributions from guys that
maybe you didn't get from all season, and and now
that you finally have people that can put some points
on the board next to Cunningham, I mean Dennis Schroeder. Dude,

(23:54):
twenty points last night, three, six for ten from the field.
Like they're like twelve points, thirteen rebounds last night, Like
they're just they're playing gritty basketball. They're they're knocking, They're
knocking the Knicks down. And the Knicks have been this
team since they put the Nova guys together, and they

(24:17):
they've just been this team that tries to knock you
down and they stop on you when you're down. But
the second that they get down, they just don't look
like they have a crazy ton of fight in them.
I don't know, and maybe I'm wrong. I didn't watch
eighty two Knicks games this year. Hell, I didn't watch ten,

(24:38):
but like they're just.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Not like other than Jalen Bronson, who.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Is going to go get a bucket on that team,
like a true fourth quarter bucket in crunch time when
you need a basket and somebody is locking up Jalen Bronson,
or probably not locking him up because he's probably just
baiting fouls every two minutes.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
So look, going into this series or going into the
NBA playoffs, I was one of the guys that said,
give the Knicks a lot of credit, right, Like they're
not on the level of the Boston Celtics. The Calves
are playing at a high level overall one seed nobody
had that they're not on that level. Therefore, I can't
get behind any futures or anything different than they're going

(25:23):
to lose eventually, probably a second round exit. And I
said that it was very familiar to what took place
with the seventy six ers. Did get pushed back from
Sam on that when he had his reasons, I had mine.
But to your point, they went out there and made
a ton of moves in this offseason. So you have
two guys when you asked that question, Yeah, it starts
with Karl Anthony Towns, who, well, by the way, I
went scoreless in the second half yesterday, just a terrible,

(25:46):
terrible half of basketball from a guy that you cannot
have that happen from. And then Bridges as well. Bridges
is supposed to be that guy that you know what,
they gave up five first round picks to go. He
was supposed to be that ultimate different maker. I will
give Josh Hart his flowers because he did it to
us last year. He still does it. He plays with
an enthusiasm. He's a great a great team and I'd

(26:10):
love to have Josh Hart on my squad. But at
the end of the day, Shavinhard's big pushback is to
see it feels like these guys are all a bunch
of role players. I think that's a little a little
harsh because Karl Anthony Towns is pretty damn good. We
know how good Brunton is as well. But Hart is
a role player. Bridges, forgive me. He seems like he's
a role player, but should have more because of the expectations.

(26:33):
That's who you're going to rely on. And Bridges had
an opportunity to knock his down, just like Shrewder did.
Shrouder knocked his down. Bridges didn't, and that's the difference
in the game.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
But the thing is, like, and I'm not saying there's
guys like this on the Pistons, because there's really not.
It's really just Kate and a bunch of guys that
work really well together. But the Pistons are also a
team who didn't have expectations coming into this year.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Not they weren't supposed to. They weren't supposed to be
battling with the Knicks in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
No way. The Knicks have so much more to lose
in this playoff series than the trait does and it's
not even close. I'm I'm not afraid of Karl Anthony Towns. No,
I'm not afraid of Mike kel Bridges. I'm not afraid
of Oganna Nobi. Like Jalen Brunson is the guy. Yeah,

(27:25):
he had thirty seven points last night. Day He's a beast,
He's he's a monster.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
He also just get thirty four in game one, let
game one and scoring just want.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
To play that. It's not incredibly fun to watch him
play basketball.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
You can play honest with you, but like it's just
the Knicks team and I and I do tend to
side with Sean. It's it's a Knicks team that traded
five first round picks for mikel Bridges and signed or
they traded for Karl Anthony Towns.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
I can't remember, but traded it just.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
And yeah, ye they have one dog and how much
of a dog is he Jaylen Brownson? Like it's just
other than Jalen Bronson. You're putting a Knicks team and
you and you have these Knicks fans that you know,
these crazy lunatic idiot Knicks fans that bay bad Nick's

(28:22):
this Jalen Brunson, this blah blah blah blah blah. If
it's not Jalen Bronson, I would love for them to
tell me who it is, because I don't think deep down,
I don't think they know, because I don't think there's
an answer. Karl Anthony Towns isn't going out and dropping
forty in a playoff game, and if he does, I
will take my hat off and and and do whatever.

(28:45):
Like Mike kel Bridges is Mike kel Bridges. He's a
good basketball player who is off more than he's on.
And the Knicks traded five first round picks for him,
Like this Pissston's team is not dead at all, like
they are, they're in prime position.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
They did exactly what you have to do.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
You steal one game on the road, and all of
a sudden they have basically.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
Home court advantage.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
So it's I don't know, man, Like you get home,
you get a Piston's crowd going that hasn't seen playoff
basketball in years, and a team that's got nothing to lose,
like this Knicks team better be ready to win on
the road because they they can't come out and like
the Knicks cannot afford to lose one game in the

(29:36):
tree because if they go down too to one or
if they go down you know, three one, like.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
It's over, man, it's over.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Even if even if the Knicks go back to New
York for Game five, they win a game, you put
a Pistons once again, Pistons crowd that's that just hasn't
seen playoff basketball. And however many years and this emerging
star and and and he's not even emerging, he is
a star in in caid and and just like this team,

(30:05):
once again, they have nothing, they have absolutely nothing to lose,
and that is the scariest part about the playoffs in
any sports. It's the same thing in baseball. Yeah, the
Phillies in twenty twenty two had nothing well and they
got to the series and they were two wins away
from winning the entire thing.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Like it's it's it's just a matter of And I
don't believe.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
It's every sport because I think there's some sports where
you have to be the better team.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
But there's it gets to some points in a basketball.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Series where if you're hot, you're hot, like that playoff
series the Knicks last year.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
There were three games in a row the Knicks couldn't miss.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Like sometimes you're just hot, and and if this Pistons
team can go out and they can get a hundred,
one hundred and five points a night against this this
next team, like.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
They're in they're in good shape. Man, Like they're they're
in really good shape.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
I'll tell you what, it's in good shape. And I'm
pretty sure that there was reading an article this morning
that the viewership is up for the NBA. And that's
a good thing because I'll tell you what, these first
round series are delivering. There's some really good NBA playoff
basketball being played and I'm gonna yell about it with
Sean Minari coming up in just a half an hour here,
and I think it comes back to a little bit.

(31:20):
At the end of the day, stars are stars. We've
got some good matchups teams or teams we've been watching
for eighty two games, so here we are set the table.
But the refs swallowing the whistle goes so far for
the average fan to just be able to enjoy a
game the flow. And that's what they're doing. They're swallowing
the whistle and playoff basketball. Why can't we do that

(31:41):
during the regular season, Luke, Why does it have to
only happen? And like, what's the why? If I'm the commissioner,
If I'm commissioner Silver, I'm going wait a minute, Like
this product is ten times better. I get it to players.
It comes back to them more than anything. They care more.
But you can't deny the flow of a game so
much better when you just swallow the whistle and let

(32:04):
these guys play man.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Other than Jaylen Bronson's whistle. But yes, I do agree
with you.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
It's not fun to sit there and watch basketball and
there'd be seven fouls called in the last five.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Minutes of a game.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
It's boring. Yeah, we're so incredibly boring watching people just
shoot free.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Thursday, we saw in the Final four and it delivered
in the Final four. And then just what I was
watching last night between the Pistons and the Knicks, like,
let them play, man, let them play?

Speaker 4 (32:31):
All right?

Speaker 2 (32:32):
From that series again, they don't take action or they
don't take the floor again until Thursday, Game three in Detroit.
That was the first win for the Detroit Pistons in
the playoffs since two thousand and eight. Way back in
the day the Pistons used to run things, Luke, probably
when you were just coming out the womb, if I'm
honest with you.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
It was on the Pistons the last time they went
to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Wallace Tay, Shawn Prince, Rip Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, come on,
let's go. We could talk.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
You only have my eight Pistons knowledge for you.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
I do.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Let me see if I did get that right, good year,
because I might be wrong on that because eight was
a little now. Yeah, Rip Hamilton was on at Chauncey,
Juan Dixon, Maryland Star there. Uh theo Ratliff's still get
in some minutes here, Jason Max Sale, that's funny. Stucky
Rodney stucky. Where Shee Wallace was on that team? Well,

(33:31):
she played until two thousand and eight. That's interesting, Ben
was not on that.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Is this a good sign for the Phillies?

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Tell me that the first time the Pistons won a
playoff games since eight was her Phillies on the World Series?

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Here, you got like where your mind goes on that one?

Speaker 1 (33:46):
All right?

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Just what the people are saying.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Not me over to tonight's games real quick if we could,
and we'll talk a little bit about the Clippers. You
did send me this tweet, and I want to bring
this up. Apparently Jason Tatum, according to Shams, is listed
as doubtful and uh, as far as that game will
be tomorrow night, that's game two significant as far as

(34:08):
the point spread is concerned. But still Boston ten and
a half point favorites. So when it comes to the
wagerings side of things, not much. But it's a ten
and a half point spread and they cover that with
ease in game one. I don't see much difference in
game two. Orlando just can't defend them.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
Now.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Last night what a game it was.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
Michael Porter Junior is down on his backside.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Clippers have numbers norm the right wing.

Speaker 7 (34:31):
Three he is in time out Timber one O three
one hundred. Norman pal has turned it on.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
In the fourth LA Clippers radio voice. Who is that
puking all over the monthy? I actually know who that is?
You do know who that is?

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Not like know him personally, but I saw.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
He Carlo Carlo him and is, oh my goodness, Carlo,
he looks like he twelve. He sounds about it as well.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
So that Michael Porter is down on his backside.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Clippers have numbers norm The right wing.

Speaker 7 (35:07):
Three is in time Outtember one O three one hundred.
Norman Palace turn it on in the fourth W NBC
and W.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Grief, dude, I do a good Carlow Yeah, puking all
over that. My God, bless him. He's calling games for
the Clippers. With that being said, what a win it
was and what a game it was coming down the stretch.
It starts, it ends with Kawhi Leonard thirty nine points
led the way. Just fantastic game by Kawhi. Turning back

(35:43):
to the hands of time. This guy is a champions
champion led two franchises. To two rings. We know what
he's capable of when he's healthy. If you get this
this again, he scored thirty nine, but Joe and runs
to score thirty seven and thirty four in the first
If you get this type of production thirty plus from
Kawhi most of the time, you're going to win those games.

(36:06):
The Clippers are a force. They turned it on at
the end of the season. I know when you look
at the West, you automatically start with Okasee, and you
go down the list of Detroit or of Denver and
of course the Lakers, and you got all these teams
that have done big things. I get it. But man,
if you don't think the Clippers, if Kawhi remains healthy,
could make a run at this thing, you haven't been

(36:27):
paying attention. This is a real deal Clippers team. I'm
not shocked that they won Game two. I was frustrated, disappointed.
They had a big lead in Game one they coughed
it up. Got to give credit where credit is due.
Denver is still the best player in the game with Joker,
But man, this series should be two to Oh as well,
it went to overtime in game one. Oh well, it's
tied up though, but what a game last night, big

(36:48):
time victory by the Clippers. I got the Clippers winning
this series.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
I don't hate it.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
I mean, I think this is a situation where it's
this is like what a jolt for the Clippers to
to get that type of player back in their ritation,
Like having a guy like Kawhi Leonard, who is will
forever be one of my favorite basketball players to just watch.

(37:14):
He's one of the He's just he's just one of
the smoothest basketball players I've ever watched.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
It's it's just he's so good at the game of
basketball and.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
The fact that he's now back. Obviously, you have James
Harden and they like they've got a little team here.
They they have a team that can can push and
they can push a Denver team who.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
Denver.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
It's obviously, yeah, they have Jokic, but if you catch
one one off night from Jokic, there's a very good
chance the Clippers win that game, so that they're obviously
in a a good spot. Once again, it's it's the
same thing as the Troy and it's not to the
extreme of the troit But they did the they did
exactly what they needed to do. One game on the road,

(38:01):
get back home. You basically have home court now, so
you get Kawhi back at home. Uh, some little playoff
uno in there, James Harden. They've got a shot. It's
a good little basketball team. I'll tell you who doesn't
have a shot. Who's the team that plays tonight at
seven thirty? The Memphis Grit They have zero.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
Shot, They have absolutely nothing.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
It was a bad I think they lost fifty.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Did you did you hear anything on Dame? So he's
playing tonight? Is is there like a minutes restriction on him?

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Or is he Is he ready to go? Yes?

Speaker 2 (38:43):
He says he is playing.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
He is active tonight, ready to play.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Is this a little Milwaukee plus four action with a
little Dame spark back?

Speaker 4 (38:51):
Or are they just not as good as Indiana?

Speaker 2 (38:54):
I know Sean Bernard believes that he the Bucks are
going to get the job done tonight with Damon. I
happen to disagree. I think that the Pacers are a
better basketball team. But you have to be honest with
your assessment too. It's a desperate team. Pacers were feeling themselves,
celebrating in front of them. Got that that juice got

(39:15):
the juices going for the Bucks. But we're talking about
Damian Lillard who has missed a significant amount of time,
and this is his first game back. Now is he
on a minut's restriction? I don't think they're bringing him
back into playoffs and putting them on a minute restriction. However,
I don't think you're getting a one hundred percent Damian
Lillard either. This has been a long damn time. March

(39:35):
twenty fifth was the diagnosis of the blood clot. It's
April twenty second, so like to expect him. He missed
more than a month because of deep vein from bosus,
with his last appearance for the Bucks coming March eighteenth,
So to expect him to come in here tonight and

(39:57):
his player prop.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Points.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Oh come on, they don't have it up. Oh come on,
who's got it up?

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Who's got him up? Is a fandal?

Speaker 1 (40:14):
No?

Speaker 2 (40:14):
They haven't draftings does? I'm not seeing it?

Speaker 4 (40:17):
It's points over? Is that seventeen and a half? Sorry,
seventeen and a half.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
That's a low number. I don't know if I'm going
over that number. To be honest with you, I'm not
telling you to.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
That's a low numbers they need.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
That's the only way that they win this game tonight.
Indiana is a better basketball team than the Milwaukee Bucks,
top the bottom, better roster. I like their coach, I
like their bench. They're at home in a rolled in
game one. It is interesting from the standpoint of the
the spread because it was a six point spreading game
one Pacers actually smashed and blew the doors off them.

(40:57):
It's now four, so Damian Lilla returned does provide a
little bit of spark. Odds makers are putting in there
a two point difference that's understood. I don't see it.
I think Indiana wins tonight.

Speaker 4 (41:08):
I'm gonna roll with the Bocks. I'm gonna roll with Bucks.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I think I listen, man, if they're gonna win a
game like it's gotta be here, I want to do it.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
It's you don't want to go down two oh.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
And it doesn't matter if you're going back home, you
don't go down two oh, no matter where you're going
next game. But once again, like you said it, it
has to be a big game game because if if
he comes out and drops you know, like eleven, twelve,
thirteen points, I don't think the Bucks are gonna win
this game.

Speaker 4 (41:35):
Could they cover maybe, but this needs to be a
big Dame night.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
I'll probably look at the box plus four with some
some Lillard over there. I think that might be my
play tonight because this is like, this is getting into
the do or die for them. Man. I know it's
only game two and not all series can be like
that in Game two, but this is one where it
seems like the Pacers.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
Are just the overall better basketball team. So if if
there's a night.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
To win it it's it's the night where the explosive
scorer comes back for the box.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
All right again, NBA Playoff action front and center for
us this evening, and do your so favorite tune in
for Game three. And that's about it. Well, Game one
is going to be good. Game two not so much.
Under fourteen and a half point favorites. Again, they won
by I forget what the number was, but they never
trailed and they absolutely booted the doors off in Game one.
I don't see much of a difference. They're just a

(42:27):
better basketball team than the Memphis Grizzlies. Ten o'clock tonight, though,
this is the more intriguing matchup here, Lakers six point
favorites taking on the t Wolves two oh nine and
a half. Just let you know ten games played an
NBA Playoffs so far, two and eight to the under,
two and eight to the under where the ten games
played in the NBA Playoffs already really intriguing stuff there.

(42:49):
But Lakers six point favorites tonight two oh nine and
a half is your total in that one? All eyes
gotta be on le Bron James because he was he
was the lethargic one. If I could be very kindly
and saying that in Game one, I do expect Luca
to go absolutely berserking this one. Minnesota, though, they have
my attention because no one gave them a chance. So

(43:10):
they went out there and played up on that card
and went into Game one in LA and beat the
Brakes off of LA, smashed them. They were more physical.
Even JJ Reddick came out and said, and I look
at this roster. They have more depth in my opinion,
coming off the bench, more size in my opinion. I

(43:32):
just don't know if I could sit here and say
that the determination is going to be there in game two.
For my money, I think Minnesota is looking at Game
one as mission accomplished. Went in there, you stole home
court now you're good to go from here on out.
I just feel like that might be the sense. Maybe
I'm under selling it, Maybe I'm undervaluing guy like Anthony Edwards,
who could very well go for forty went for twenty

(43:54):
in Game one. I get it. But I am going
to back the Lakers here tonight. I think they bounced
back with it a big time performance, specifically Lebron, James
and Luca leading away. No surprise there. But I will
give the six. I will give the six. That's a big,
big number. I'll give the six. Lakers come out on
top tonight, win game two.

Speaker 4 (44:14):
I completely agree.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
I'm gonna kind of combine what you said because it's
exactly what I liked as well. I'm gonna go Lebron
twenty five plus and Lakers minus six. This this is
a definition of a This lower seed comes in, Lebron
loses Game one, says all right now it's now it's
go time, and he comes out and he turns it
up and he probably goes out and you might win

(44:37):
by twenty tonight.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Have you on the Lakers? Lakers? I like Lebron twenty
five plus.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
All right again, NBA playoffs, those are the three games tonight, tomorrow,
three more and the big one for tomorrow is the
Warriors of Rock. It's great game one there for Rock
or for the Warriors on the road in Houston to
win the way that they did. We'll be live tomorrow
at three pm. All over where everything NBA playoffs and
majorly baseball. My phone continues to do somersaults over there.

(45:04):
All right, let's keep it moving and we'll wrap up
on this. And as I said earlier today, we are here.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
Man.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
It's crazy because normally we make a bigger deal about this,
but when you're Super Bowl champions, the NFL draft just
means a little less. It's where we're at it, that's
where I'm at. I just you know, normally I'm all
draft up. I know that there are plenty of people
that are draft up. But man, when Bradley Cooper rolls

(45:33):
down to New Orleans and does this all right from
the city and running up you come on, come on, Yeah,

(45:58):
NFL draft just doesn't mean as much.

Speaker 4 (46:01):
And I get it.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Eagles will be active and this is how he Roseman's
time to shine. But all in all, I think that
that's the main reason why we haven't been all drafts
central here on the Gambler. However, I dude would have
put this out there. The big talking point right now,
of course, is quarterbacks. Look Car Kadie, Oh yeah, And
I'm here to tell everyone, yep, I'm Shannie Draft. I'm

(46:26):
the guy on the insider here. Move every pull Schrager
out of Awa, put Shifter out of Away, put whoever
your favorite NFL insider is. If you don't think three
plus quarterbacks are being selected in the first round, I'm sorry,
I got nothing for you, because that's the big talking

(46:47):
point right now. There has been a lot of movement
on qb taking in the first round, and under two
and a half or two and a half is the number,
and there has been a crazy shift in the under
to the under. I see all these hosts, all these
people in the sports betting world, these guys talking about
that they're they're gonna take the under. There's value there.

(47:09):
Saw my girl Stephanie Small's talk about the value on
the under. I'm sorry, this is the NFL Draft. We
know what happens. There have been a few drafts that
quarterbacks did not get selected in the first round. I
am well aware of that. But Jackson dark Shador Sanders
and of course Cam war going number one overall, will
be selected in the NFL Draft first round on Thursday night.

(47:31):
You wager are you agree with that?

Speaker 1 (47:34):
I would love the over two and a half and
I would hope it's at it's a plus money no
no no, no, no no no no.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Yeah, it's it's a it's a big time minus. But
it's the big talking point in the world of the
NFL Draft at this point in time.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
Yeah, I completely agree.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
I think when teams want their quarterback, they don't they
don't like to wait, they want to go get them.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
Say. I think we all know Kim Ward's going one.
I think Jackson Dart might go ahead of Shod I
don't know there.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Maybe that's my draft take. I think Jackson dark go
is ahead of Shore.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
I don't really know where. But I'm not some draft
you know guru.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Julian Edo with some good jobs. Julian Edli'll just put
out this at three o'clock today, So I'm just seeing
it now again in Pennsylvania, I'm believing or not, I'm
doing this event tomorrow with Governor Shapiro at five o'clock tomorrow.
It's gonna be live online only, not on the Gambler,
but we're talking some online poker. There's some new stuff

(48:42):
that's happening in the world of the online poker world.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (48:46):
Yeah, So with that being said, you're poker.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
