Speaker 1 (00:00):
Put at number one on your car radio preset hand
the new and improved Diehard Radio at w YES and
WD two seven three D Philadelphia. I is Fox Sports
Radio the Gambler. Anyway, we go here on a Monday
daily ticket edition as chambres that we're adding so low
in a good afternoon. How's their monket Hopefully had a

(00:22):
great weekend. Hopefully did not wager own team USA and
bet paid black the blood bat that was over the weekend.
Very unfortunate for the United States, but something that we
discussed last week that I think we were all seeing
how that was going to play out. A lot of
heart in the final day, but none of that matters

(00:43):
when you can't sink a putt for the first eight
I want to say, first eight opportunities going head to
head with Europe. What an atrocious tournament and another brutal
loss and Ryder Cup and of course now rubbing it
in our face, it comes with a territory. We'll talk
a little bit more about that a little bit later.

(01:03):
But folks, right here, right now, we talk about football.
That's right, foot ball. Let's go, let's talk about the
Eagles to open up shop here. Another impressive victory. If
you listen to the show on Friday with Kyle Fisher,
I said, felt like a double digit victory was coming
for the Eagles. Now they were up by double digits
for the majority of the game, and then you know,

(01:24):
the NFL kicks in and there's not much you can
do about it because these guys are professionals. And oh,
by the way, the Tampa Bay Bucks are a good
football team, phill really good players, especially Ubuka, especially Baker,
good run game, really good defense as well as we
talked about how they were very stout against the run,

(01:44):
and that showed on yesterday or during yesterday's game going
up against Saquon Barkley offensive line. Of course, no Lane Johnson.
That's only gonna make life easier for you if you're
the Tampa Bay Bucks. But all in all, it's four
noh plenty to correct, plenty that they should have done better,
plenty to appreciate. It's the NFL. These things aren't easy.

(02:08):
But the Eagles went down to Tampa Bay and finally
won a football game a place that they have not
been able to do. Oh by the way, Todd Bowles
is the head coach who's been really good going up
against Jalen Hurts. He knows what he's doing on the
defensive side of the ball, and to exploit Jalen's weaknesses
and have him guessing a little bit. And you saw
that in the second half. We'll get into the numbers
in just a second. But Eagles were up twenty four

(02:30):
to six at the half. No way, was I cash
in my ticket. I wish I did have a first
half play instead of the full game ticket. Well full
game ticket cash, but you know where I'm going with
the double digit thought. Anyways, they were twenty four to
six at halftime. Final score thirty one to twenty five.
Did cover the number. Baker, his own worst enemy, thrown
that interception with on first out right in the end zone.

(02:53):
You can't do that. You can live with it. If
it's later, third, fourth down. You want to make some plays,
be Euroball. But that was brutal, brutal interception. I believe
their first turnover as far as the season was concerned.
And then the backbreaker was the fumble and Bucky Irving
dropp into football. Really good play by the defense starting

(03:16):
ends there for the Eagles. But that was the difference
in the game. The turnovers were the difference in the game,
no doubt about it. Most of the time they are
two to zero for the Eagles. And that was all
she wrote. So much to appreciate for my money in
this game. And I will start and get into Dallas

(03:36):
Godder and what he means to this offense, especially around
the goal line, especially around you know, the red zone,
things get a little tight, jumbled up, and the play
calling to get him involved with the oh my goodness
throwback to Andy Reid and the shovel pass that actually
worked a little bit of a slight variation to it,
but a nice play call when you know the teams
weren't expected and something that I don't remember seeing on film.

(03:59):
And oh, by the way, the Saquon Barkley tush push
handing it off to him on the outside. He cruises
in unbelievable job to throw that in there when teams
are just jumping over the top trying to stop them
anyway that they can, including jumping off sides multiple times. Well,
you want to be you want to go ahead and
be aggressive. Well, guess what, we're gonna hand it off
to the side, and Saquon Barkley's going to do it

(04:20):
now if you remember last year. I don't believe it
worked in that Saints game when they pulled it out
the first time. Was that the Saints game? Why am
I drawing a blank? As far as I thought, the
Saints were at home? No, the Falcons were at home.
That's right, the Saints were on the road. So the
Saints game, they tried that, and I don't think it worked.
But this was perfection, so something they saw on the
film where they thought they would be aggressive and exactly

(04:42):
how it played out. Credit to the Eagles for drawing
that up and getting the job done there, shining the
light on the defensive side of the ball and two
players in general. Boy, oh boy, do we have the
chosen one now? I know that when you start to
talk about Cooper Dejen, you have to talk about Quinnyon Mitchell.

(05:02):
I'm not a dummy. Quinnyon is as good as advertised,
one of the better quarterbacks in the league bar none,
shadowing the players now following the best player across the field,
whatever it may be. He was tremendous again yesterday. But
Cooper Dejen is the chosen one and he is a stud.
He is one of the better tacklers that I've seen

(05:23):
like if I'm out of line, you tell me, you
tell me if I'm out of pocket. On this one,
it just seems like he has such a flow to
him when it comes to stopping the rusher whoever has
the ball, and obviously it's diving at the ankles, and
you know, I'm sure that somebody's going to start to
realize that Cooper Degene, that's how he tackles, and someone's

(05:44):
gonna jump them. But nine times out of ten, he's
going to bring you down. And he did that exactly yesterday.
He was incredible past deflections a couple of them, had
the interception that did not count. You know what that was.
Break that film down that play really impressive from where
he came from his assignment to make that play. Has
a great head on his shoulders, does it on special

(06:05):
teams in the return game. Don't really care for it
too much, but you know he's a weapon there. But man,
just a guy that you can count on to come
up and make the tough play no matter who has
the ball. Again, remember Derrick Henry last year, right like
he made Dereck Henley look bad when he came up
and smacked him and put him down. So yesterday more
of that from Cooper dejen And then also on the

(06:27):
defensive side of the ball, you want to talk about pain,
let's talk about the rookie Jehad Campbell, multiple plays including
the interception in the end zone. Jehad Campbell is an
absolute stud, stud, great draft pick and has such a
bright future. Remember this is game four for Jahad Campbell.

(06:51):
You want to throw on the preseason games fine seven?
Did he play in this the last one? I'm not
sure I think he did, But it's so like the
sample size is so small and what we're seeing from
this kid at the next level in that position where
the game is flying but not moving too fast for
Joha Campbell and to put himself in position to make
that interception, come up with it let alone, no bobble,

(07:14):
no hitting the ground, no review, just a great interception
and coming up and laying the lumber with any opportunity
he can and making those players he hurt. It wasn't Bucky,
who was It was it Rashad White. Somebody came out
of that backfield and he just hit them so hard

(07:35):
with a good fundamental tackle, drove him into the ground
and next thing they had to come out of the game.
I think it was just the wind knocked of him.
Still though he is a beast and a lot of
fun to watch. Like, I'm really starting to get amped
up for this defense. Team did take a little bit
of a hit. As far as injuries are concerned, We're
still trying to find out what's the latest going on.

(07:55):
Of course with Jalen Carter, that's the big one. Jalen
Carter still toughing it out there with the shoulder. But
you know that's not something you want to see, especially
in week four. You'll probably miss some time. We'll see.
Hopefully I'm wrong. Hopefully I'm wrong. I've been wrong plenty
of times with predictions when it comes to injuries. But
just such an appreciation watching those guys go out there
in those conditions where it was hot one and twenty

(08:17):
degrees on the field and balling out and telling you
exactly what they were going to do. Just coming away
with that victory yesterday put a smile on my face
ten feet wide. It was one of those games where
you're like, please end, please end, Please, let's let's let's
end this game please, Like no more, I want this
game to be over because it got ugly in the

(08:38):
second alfter the Eagles and they scored a touchdown in
a third quarter blanked in the fourth. The Bucks were
able to get it going in the third. They were
able to get it going with two big plays. They
had the the past touchdown for what was it seventy
one yards to book or seventy seven yards, and then
you had another play that was just an incredible touchdown.

(09:03):
What was that one? That one went for that was
seventy two yards, So seventy one and a seventy two
yard touchdown and you can't have that, And I'm trying
to hype up the defense and you're giving up those
big plays. Sure that that that that goes against what
everything I've been saying, But you know, you kind of
felt like the desperation was setting in for Tampa. They

(09:24):
had to make some That's no excuse for the Eagles.
You have to defend it. But the Bucks were trying
to make some big time plays and credit to them
they converted. The one was really tough, like to Abuka
was ridiculous. You had blanket ship over the top and
he was just there, missed it by a fingertip. No

(09:49):
Cuba excuse me, Mcuba not that difficult, good player as well.
He kind of got caught up in no man's land.
And you know that's the was thrown in just a
perfect spot, got through the two defenders, you tip your
cap and roll on. Unfortunately, you give up another big play,
as I said, so that's not good. And again it

(10:09):
came down the stretch. It was like, just in this game,
please put it into this game. And the Eagles were
able to do it. When they were able to get
the what was it? It was about a minute left
and the fumble, which was Baker Mayfield short to Kate

(10:33):
A and fumbles out of bounds. Is how that game ended.
Why am I drawing a blank on the game ended? Well,
they got down to the Eagles like midfield. Essentially they
needed a touchdown, so that was it. It was fourth down,
That's what it was. I apologize not the fumble, although
it does look like they did credit him for a fumble,
but it bow went out of bound. So long story short,

(10:56):
enough of that. You roll on your four and oh
thirty one and twenty five and that's all that matters.
You come home for a tough challenge against the Denver
Broncos next weekend. And oh, by the way, we get
to see Denver play tonight. They're taking on the Cincinnati Bengals.
We'll talk about that game coming up here on the
other side. But all in a just a great game
by the Eagles. Now to the offense, and this is

(11:17):
the trouble part, and there's no denying it, and it
comes down to what took place in the second half.
And you get a guy like Jalen Hurtz who was
in the rhythm in fifteen to sixteen in the first half,
one hundred and thirty yards in the air, two touchdowns
of course, just making plays, and then all of a sudden,

(11:37):
Tampa makes their changes, Jalen pressing a little bit. It
felt like the run game was non existent. So therefore
the Tampa Bay defenders were able to drop eight back
at times, seven back most of the time, and Jalen
wasn't able to get the job done, and he rushed
a couple of throws, a couple of bad FROs where

(11:57):
there are a ton of plays to be made. I
don't believe. So I'm not one of these guys that
grinds the tape. So I'm welcome to any feedback on that.
But oh, in a over for eight is over eight.
It was ugly. It wasn't pretty at all. And I
think the play caller Patula needs to wear some of
this blame. I think Nick Sirianni needs to wear some
of his blame. I think the offensive line needs to
wear some of this blame. But Jones gotta He's gotta

(12:20):
take the healthy dose here. You know, he's the one
with the ball in his hands. Find the open receiver
and make the play, make the throw, even if it's
a simple catch, pitch and catch one way or the other.
Just have to get it going. And they could not
do it. They did not have a single passing yard
in the second half, and that's not good enough. You're
gonna end up losing games if that's the case. But

(12:41):
hey man, a win is a win. And I hate
to be, you know, so bland when it comes down
to it, but that's how I'm viewing it. That's the
only thing that mattered to me that they go down
there and win the game. Of course, if you took
the three or gave the three and a half on
the road, you know, credit to you on that one.
I'd somewhat got lucky. I would say, but you know,
when it comes down to just finding a way to

(13:01):
put a W in the column, that's it. Starting in there.
This team is off and running. They're front and center
for all things NFC East Division champions. Of course, there's
only two teams left that are undefeated at this point
in time in the NFL, and the Eagles are one
of them. Oh, by the way, the Buffalo Bills are
the other. If you're keeping score at home. So I
am not complaining, but I am also not AJ Brown.

(13:25):
And here we go. You know, now the season starts,
AJ starts complaining. You know, it's one of those deals
where AJ's smart enough to know, like we have come
along the lines, come to know how smart AJ Brown
really is. So a part of me is disappointed that

(13:46):
he would even put something out there like that. And
if you don't know what I'm talking about, apparently he
put out a message immediately after the game on Instagram
and it's nothing. I guess it's a it's from scripture.
I don't know. It says quote, if you're not welcome to,
not listen to quietly withdraw, don't make a scene, shrug

(14:08):
your shoulders and be on your way. I don't think
that's scripture. Sorry, I think I saw that from something
or Mark six MSG. I don't know what the hell
that is. What is that buyeblood dot co. Whatever. It's stupid.
You just won a football game. Get on the bus,
get on your plane, come back home, rest up, and
get ready for the next one. AJ, You're gonna have

(14:29):
plenty of games that you will make plenty of plays,
and you already have done it, and especially last week
against the La Rams, you did it in a big
way in the second half. You got one hundred targets
this week, I think nine total. I get it. You
didn't have a great as far as great game stats wise,
but you won the football game and you're competing for
so much more that you won a super Bowl last year.

(14:53):
This team has now made the Super Bowl with Jalen
Hurts as the quarterback two times. Like you, you are
a part of this, a huge piece to the puzzle.
You don't need this right, Like, I don't really care.
It's not that big of a deal. But you know
what comes with this. That's the issue, and that's the
frustrating part. It's like, AJ, you're smarter than that. You

(15:14):
know that because you're doing this now all the attention.
Now you're gonna have forty cameras around your locker room.
Now it's gonna be this. Now it's gonna be that.
And oh, by the way, you're gonna be quick. Oh oh,
you know why is there would bother me do what's good?
You know, like, and you're gonna play dumb and it's
just stupid. And here we go again. But it's the
wide receiver position. It's the mentality that a lot of

(15:35):
these wide receivers have for whatever reason it is. And
it's nothing new to us here with you. It's very
unfortunate though, because I give you so much credit. I
give aj Brown the benefit of the doubt on a
lot of these dumb conversations have been But this is
just dumb for you to go out there and put
this out there after winning a football game. If you

(15:56):
lost and you put that out there, Yeah, all right,
let's go. Let's go. Let's get back in the dry
in the room with the quarterbacks, the offensive play collar.
Let's start working together because this is not working right now.
We need to find a way to win these football games,
because that would have been a winnable football game and
if AJ Brown would have had an opportunity down the

(16:16):
field to make a player or two, it probably would
have been a little bit more beneficial. I think we're
all in the same page with this one. Aj. There's
a time for everything after a win. No, man, that
is extremely selfish after a win, and especially when you
had nine targets. I'm not sitting here saying that I

(16:36):
would be happy if i'm AJ Brown, because all in all,
you know what he's capable of. He's one of the
best wide receivers in the game. But you know, you
get nine targets, you're only able to turn two catches
into seven yards. It's got to be frustrated. Maybe you're
not looked at in the goal line. I mean, Dallas
Goddter scores two touchdowns. I don't care how they score,

(16:58):
and neither should you. We talked about this two weeks
ago where we said about Hall of Fame players from
this team, and the reason why we bring up that
conversation is not because of the stats they're throwing up. No,
it's because of the success that this team continues to have.
It's because of the franchise that Howie Roseman has built
year after year after year to compete in January and

(17:21):
get back to a super Bowl. When you put that
type of team success together, the solo accolades will follow.
It's not hard to understand that you think Jalen Hurt's
not gonna be in the Hall of Fame. I'll bet
you right now he gets into the Hall of Fame,

(17:42):
that will fire some people up, but he will. How
young is Jalen Hurts right now? Twenty seven? Yeah, Jalnher's
twenty seven years old, nineteen ninety eight born. You know, like,
if he continues to win, you're gonna have to put
them in there. He's a hell of a player, hell

(18:04):
of a talent. Aj so are you, and you're better
than what that is ridiculous. Doesn't surprise me though, doesn't
surprise me. All right, Eagles and the Denver Broncos will
be coming up, and next week we will be live
with Green Legion on the Fox Local app at one
pm from excuse me from Stateside Live right outside eleven

(18:25):
hundred Social And we had a great show two weeks
ago and this one's going to be even better. We
were able to work out a few of the kinks
and we are excited about this opportunity to hopefully we
get some beautiful, glorious weather like we are having today
slashed this week, and we get ourselves a nice one
o'clock kick between the Eagles and the Broncos at Lincoln
Financial Field. Oh, by the way, DraftKings showing the Eagles

(18:48):
at three and a half point home favorite. Forty three
and a half is there total? That'd be a great
day to get the stats going. Give me an over
on that game at forty three and a half. We'll
watch the Broncos tonight. Broncos and Bengals go had to
head this evening seven and a half. Forty four and
a half is our total. Now one, that's an eight
to fifteen kick. We get a part. We get the
party started on Monday Night Football with two though, and

(19:09):
the first one is the Jets and Dolphins at seven fifteen.
Here's here's the rub in that one. Tua is five
and oh versus the New York Jets. Yet Tua is
oh and three in his last three prime time games.
So where do you go with this one? Uh, Dolphins
are three point favorites forty four and a half at home.
I'm not a Justin Fields guy. I've been able to

(19:30):
like like him and pull for him, but I don't
believe in him. And oh, by the way, I just
don't think the Jets are all that good. Dolphins three
point favorites here, I think they're gonna get it going.
I think Tua is gonna have a little bit better
of a game. I expect the Dolphins to find a
way to win the football game this evening and go,
by the way, oh and three versus oh and three, Yeah,

(19:51):
get their first victory this evening. So that's going off
once again at seven to fifteen. We'll talk a little
bit more about the props and take a look at
the Bengals and Broncos. That's seven and a half. It's
a steep number. I don't know if I would really
be interested in touching that game as far as the
side is concerned. Total kind of hurt about betting totals,
and I'll tell you why any other side. So I
don't know if I'm the right guy you want to

(20:12):
look to right now as far as totals are concerned.
But we'll have some fun with that's all right. Other side,
let's talk some college football from the weekend. So much
to recap and of course, Penn State and Oregon. It
lived up to the hype on one side of the field.
Give you my thoughts as far as the big game,
James Franklin showing his ugly head yet again and Penn

(20:33):
State losing at home in a game that was setting
up nicely for them to win. Talk that game, of course,
everything that took place in college football over the weekend,
LSU Ole, Miss Alabama, Georgia, and the list goes on,
and we'll take a look at some of the numbers
coming up here. But a lot of fun here on
a Monday. Oh by the way, coming up in the

(20:54):
next hour, you're gonna get Sam Austri and s Shan Binard.
They'll be talking all things birds, mixing it up as well.
So a lot to do right here on the Gambler,
keep it locked and as always, listened to us on
the iHeartRadio app and make us a preset more all right,
coming to you here on a Monday, dealer ticket Sean
Brays riding solo coming up next our year here from
Shaminard and Sam Osher. You've got a lot going on,

(21:17):
of course, NFL week full. We got two games going
off Monday night. Remember when I'm really feel passionate about
the dolphinste people say that, yeah, looking at the Dolphins game,
I think the Dolphins think Tua has a decent game.
What's starting in there? Give me Tua and give me
the rookie Ali Gordon. I'm buying into what people are
trying to sell me. When it comes to the rook

(21:38):
maybe he'll get a couple of runs down on the
goal line. He definitely looks like he is a mean
he's small, he's not a big boy by no means,
but he has some power, he has some pops. So
I look at Oli Gordon for the anytime touchdown to
have a little fun there. But all in no, give
me two of props. Looking at him, I can see
two of going for like two point fifty tonight, getting

(21:59):
a going two forty for even money. Sure touchdown scores
Allie Golden plus three ten, that's worth the shot. Take
a stab at that. Go Dolphins minus the three and
a half or minus the three flat. All right, quickly
on this if we get because I want to come

(22:19):
back to college football, want to hit on what took
place this weekend, and of course putting a ball on
some of the big news items from NFL Week four.
We finally have our playoff baseball ready to go as
far as where we're at with the bracket, and shout
out to the Mets for choking it away. Nice work.
There no Mets in the National League playoffs, which is

(22:42):
a thumbs up across the board. That was a team
that had some sort of mental edge over the Phillies
for whatever reason. Now that those games would have majority
of those games would have taken place at Cistan's Bank
Park if they would have gotten by the LA Dodgers,
that's a big ask there, But all in all, it's good.
You know, it's something that we can have, and of
course we have been doing a ton of that on

(23:04):
the timeline. So here we are. We roll on. We
got some wild card matchups really interesting. I just want
to put this out here for the people because just remember,
just remember when it comes down to all things of
playoff baseball, if you're not hitting home runs, you're going
to struggle to win those games because things get tighter,

(23:24):
the game gets slowed down, better pitching, you're not able
to manufacture runs. If that was what you were able
to do last year or during the regular season, good luck.
So I'm looking at some of the boppers, some of
the teams that have been able to hit the long ball,
and that's where my mind automatically goes with that. I
do want to look at some of the prices here
as far as with the the prices for the matchups

(23:50):
coming up here. But we do have action starting tomorrow.
Tigers and Guardians get the party started. Scooble on the mound.
I like the Tigers take game one. I like the
Tigers to take the series of three school going and
I know the Guardians have been playing great baseball, definitely
hotter team, but all in, I'll give me the Tigers
to advance in that one. Padres and Cubs don't really
have too much of a fuel in this one. Padres

(24:11):
have been fleecing a lot of people this year. They've
been beating up on bad teams throughout the course of
this season. Deserve a lot of credit. Cubs are at home.
I think the Cubs have a really good defense. It
starts and ends there with my handicap in that series,
So I'm gonna take the Cubs to advance in that one.
The Socks and Yankees is a coin flip, but I'm
gonna take the Yankees because of the long ball. I
think the Yankees are able to get it going at

(24:32):
home and they'll advance in that series, and the Dodgers
and the Reds unfortunately have to go with the Dodgers
to advance there. That's where I am as far as
that is concerned. Now the series winner, just to let
you know, Tigers and Guardians and minus one fifteen for
the Tigers. Cubbies are favorite at minus one twenty five
plus one oh five for the Padres, Yankees and Monster

(24:54):
minus one sixty five. No surprise there, and the Dodgers
minus two forty five. It does bother me now, I'm
taking all all four favorites. But again, I just feel
like in the short series here, I'll take the Home
I think that's gonna play pay out more than anything,
play out more than anything, and hopefully it will pay
out for us after it's all said and done. Just
to let you know where we stand right here, right now,

(25:15):
to win it all. Here we are the World Series
champion Phillies at the top plus four twenty five. It's
decent price. It's basically what was floating around all all
regular season long. So you want to take a stab.
Now's the time to do so. Mariner's a plus four
to fifty, which was surprising there Dodgers five to one,
Blue Jays pulls seven to fifty. I'm telling you, man,
you want to sleep on the Yankees at eight to one.

(25:37):
I hate to say it, but I do think that
the way that they mash and in that ballpark, I
think that they are a legit contender to make a
run again in this and get back to another Fall Classic.
I really don't think regular season, you know, and they
had their moments where they were a really good baseball team,

(25:58):
but defense, you know, it hurts them a lot. Of course,
they dealt with a ton of injuries this year. I
would just say it comes back to the long ball,
and that's where my mind goes immediately. For that Guardians
are thirty to one, flipping places with the Tigers. They
feel like the Tigers are last year. But I'm not
buying into that. I think there are people out there
that want to believe them in the Socks twenty two

(26:19):
to one to get it going against the Yankees and
keep it going. Not a lot of people talking about
the Blue Blue Jays from the American League, but yeah,
I'm gonna pass on that. I would say Yankees above
all give it the Phillies though. Phillies to get to
the World Series. Gonna be tough against the Dodgers if
that's the opponent. And Game one will be on Saturday
at Citizens Bank Park. And my goodness, are those prices expensive.

(26:43):
Shout out to Tickpick for no service fees. That's great,
but it still when you start out with a number
that they have and Tickpick has no control over that.
I mean, these tickets are going for three, three fifty
five hundred. You know. Look, at the end of the day,
it's playoff baseball. There's nothing better then playoff baseball at
Citizens Bank Park. So if you can get to a game,
enjoy it and we'll see what happens. All right, let's

(27:06):
keep it moving here. College football from the weekend, and
the big story, of course, is what took place up
at Happy Valley and the way that Penn State ended
up coming back and then losing. It felt like the
Eagles to a point, right, it felt like the Eagles
against their Rams. Here we go, they're coming back. I'm
sorry because I'm tainted when I want to break this
game down and really give a heartfelt emotion behind it.

(27:30):
But I can't because I had the under fifty three
and a half and it was one of the worst
slow beats that I could remember the fact that it
went to overtime, and you saw twenty points double overtime,
not just single overtime, a double overtime. And you saw
the fact that this team, these two teams went scoreless
at the end of the first quarter. You know, I

(27:52):
felt so good about my handicaps, so good about my play.
Defenses were really standing up. And the next thing, you know,
Penn State turns it on the fourth quarter, ties it up.
Nobody wants to go for two, nobody wants to change anything,
show little guts, and next thing, you know, I just
know that I'm staring at a loss, and it exactly
played out how in my mind when I was thinking

(28:13):
the worst case scenario would and they would end up
at fifty four, And it's exactly how it played out,
and it was devastating. Fifty four was your final score.
Of course, Oregon went in and won. There's ever a
ton of credit. Are you really impressed with Oregon? Sure?
I think that, you know, it's the same vibe Oregon,
like it's a good program, really good fast players, solid offense. Defensively,

(28:38):
I thought that, you know, they showed up in that
first half. Second half they were got a little bit. Now,
you know, when you play four quarters in that environment,
eventually the other team's going to get something going unless
they're a terrible squad. But Penn State is not that.
Drew Aller is not as good as advertised. I'm holding
on to that take. If he turns into something legitimate

(28:58):
in the next level, tip my cat. But as far
as I'm concerned, he is just not a quarterback that
I'd be drafting. As far as the at the next level, Nope,
I'm going to pass on that. But he has his moments.
He's not the worst quarterback out there. But and offensively,
I don't know, like what their issue is. They don't

(29:18):
want to open it up and they don't want to
get beaten in that regards, and I understand. But he's
very capable too, So I'm kind of talking out of
both sides of my mouth. But at the end of
the day, I think they're doing it for a reason.
Thirty to twenty four is your final score, double overtime
in the white out, and it was a walk off
interception that ruined it. Oh, although you tip your cap

(29:39):
to Oregon and now they have a tough matchup coming
up against Indiana, I believe if I'm not mistaken. So
we'll talk a little bit more about those games coming
up here on Tuesday or tomorrow with Sean Manard. As
far as next week's game, the big one was supposed
to be Florida State and Miami, and Florida State ended
up losing on Friday, which was frustrating. Also from college

(30:00):
football Saturday, of course you have to go to LSU
and ole Miss. That got the party started early at
three point thirty, and look, man, it was a tough
spot for LSU to go into. They scored first. I
thought that, you know, like, all right, maybe we undervalued
him just a little bit here, but that wasn't the case.
Ole Miss was the better team twenty four to nineteen.

(30:20):
As you're final score. They ended up covering the number
as far as that is concerned too as well. Five
and zero for Lane Kiffin and company. Nice work on
that one and dealing with the quarterback situation, Chamberlass came
in three fourteen, a touchdown they had to going as
far as their un game concern. I came away with
that game going. Ole Miss is absolutely a contender for

(30:41):
the National championship. They are SEC strong. Lane is a
great talent, great head coach, and continues to get better
as he continues to get more mature. Of course, he
likes to have fun. He's a troll on timeline, but
that's what it's about when it comes to recruiting. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
On a nice victory though by ole Miss and company
there twenty four to nineteen. Then we got to the

(31:03):
nightcap and again Alabama. It's not to say that I
was surprised. I want to know part of this game.
If you listen on Friday, I said it was a
tough one if you made make a pick. I'm not
going to go against the home team, Kirby Smart and company.
But Simpson had it going early. Alabama has some horses
on the outside, just a really fast squad. Calendar Bor.
Everybody was trying to fire him after that Week one

(31:25):
loss against Florida State. Now what he's saying, now, you're
talking about potentially making a run and winning this national
championship or at least the SEC. But they look good
in that spot against Georgia Kirby Smart drops to one
in seven. One in seven versus Alabama, yish, and that
was a home game. He doesn't get too many cracks
at them, but that was not all that surprising of

(31:45):
a result. But definitely said Georgia, I'm not gonna lie
about that at this point in time, A and m
over Auburn. Auburn did cover that number. We had that
one Indiana and Iowa due to a a safety at
the end of the game. Iowa ends up losing by five.
And I know that the point spread was tight for

(32:08):
some It depends what you got. And Mendoza came out
and he was talking about how, yeah, you got a
college football quarterback talking about spread's postgame. I don't really
look at that as a good thing. I know we
got to chuckle out of it, but I think that's
a very dangerous or slippery slope as they like to say.
Where he talked about how he cost a lot of
people money with the point spread and he's sorry about that.

(32:29):
I mean, he was tongue in cheek, but all in all,
it's like one of those things you're like, eh man,
it's actually a nine point spread in most shops so
that didn't even really matter. But again, it could have
went somewhere, live lines whatever, and that's what I think
he was talking about. Still slippery slope, no doubt about that.
A lot of good games went off on college football.

(32:50):
The nightcap was BYU and Colorado. I thought that was
a really good game. I thought Dion squad showed a
lot of heart. Of course, you had South Carolina lumping
up Kentucky. We talked a lot about that game. Couple
odds and ends, Tennessee and mississ State. Mississippi State was
a real good one. That was a seven and a
half point spread. Mississippi State in the covering by the
hook hopefully had that and Northwestern Ucla. I told you

(33:12):
there was too many points as Ucla ended up losing
by three, so I was able to get lucky. There
a couple ones that we missed, Ohio State and Washington.
There was a bad call in the third quarter. I
don't think really Washington ever recovered from, but Ohio State
was the better team. You tip your cap and say
that that was the right play for those that took
Ohio State minus nine and a half in that environment.
And in Utah and West Virginia irked the hell out

(33:34):
of me because I stared at it, but I didn't
take it because of what took place the previous week
with Utah and Texas Tech. Very frustrating the fact that
I allowed that to seep into my mind when they
were absolutely to play at West Virginia two touchdown favor
and they rolled forty eight to fourteen. We have plenty
of time to talk about all things college football coming

(33:54):
up in this next week, week six already, and as
I said, some of the big games that have our
attention at this point, Yeah, that's not a noon kick,
that's the following week. I guess that they're saying game
day will be uh with Indiana anyways, Kentucky, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Purdue,
Penn State, Ucla, Texas and Florida, Vandy and Alabama is

(34:19):
the big one because I think game days heading there.
Alabama ten and half point favorites. Of course, Avandavandy undefeated
five and zero, Diego Pavia has everybody believe in. Notre Dame, Boise, Virginia, Louisville, Oklahoma,
Kent State, nobody cares about that, Texas Tech, Houston, Ohio,
State taken on Minnesota. Minnesota three and one. It's a
tough team. That's a twenty three and a half point spread.

(34:41):
Hopefully they can keep that close. Mississippi State and A
and M is an interesting game, and where A and
M is a fourteen and a half point favorite. Wow.
And Florida State and Miami which obviously took a huge
hit with Florida State losing on the road to Virginia
on Friday night, they're four and a half point favorites
taken on Miami. All right, NFL Week four rolling on

(35:02):
this evening, and once again you got two Monday night
football games. We'll put a bow on this one. Unfortunately,
Molik neighbors a big storyline from this week telling to
ACL for the Giants, that's a tough, tough loss, especially
for all things fantasy, which I'm doing terrible in this year,
so I don't really care. But all in, I'll you
don't want to see him we get hurt like that,
especially a young talent and a guy a reason that

(35:24):
you should tune in. Credit to Jackson Dart. He played
with some you know, some onions out there. I didn't
think he was the best player, but all in all
led him to a victory, and he deserves a ton
of credit for beating the Chargers the way that they didn't,
handing them their first loss. That was a hot Chargers
team and Jackson Dart and the Giants beat him. So
credit all right once again. That number is now on

(35:45):
the move. The Dolphins are two and a half point
favor it's forty four and a half. I like the
Dolphins this evening. Look for Tua to turn it up
a little bit here against that Jets defense on the
road in Miami. Also, give me, give me the rook
give me Ali Gordon at the goal line. Plus three
ten eighty time touchdown Bengals the Broncos. Your guests is
as good as mine. Good luck on those plays. Make
sure using Draftings Sportsbook embrace as your promo code. Calming

(36:09):
up next, you're gonna hear Sam Austri and Shann Bernard
breaking it all down talking little birds, NFL, college football,
even some sixers. Sean did a great job on Saturday
with his new show that you could be heard. You
can hear every Saturday morning from eleven to one o'clock
Sean Bernard Live. That's right, nice and easy in the
title Shan Bernard Live. That's gonna do it for me

(36:29):
here today. I'll be back tomorrow. Everybody, good luck on
those plays and we'll talk to you
