as last night with.

Green Bay and what they did to the DC commanders.

Look, that was a game that I thought a lot
of us were on the right side. There were a
few people out there that were talking themselves into the
commander side, but all in all, the Green Bay Packers
felt like they were to play. Sam, I know you
were very passionate. I was passionate as well, and it
paid off. The back door was wide open. Oh, the
back door was wide open. Very frustrating as far as

how that game ended, because.

It was a blowout. It was a bloodbath. Green Bay
is for real, Sam, They're for real.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
They're my Super Bowl pick before the year for a reason,
and there's no question mark. I mean you look before them,
Micah Parsons Tree, how elite that pass rush was. And
then you had Micah Parsons who you have to double
team every single time he's on the field, whether he's
rushing from the right, from the left, from the inside,
it doesn't matter. Every time he's on the field, he
commands double teams. That opens up that entire pass rush,

So forget the offense for a second. That Green Bay
defense is legit. And then you have Jordan Love, who's
one of the better quarterbacks in the league, a deep
wide receiving corps, Josh Jacobs has a runner with a
really great offensive line. This is as a complete team
as you'll see in the NFL right now. And you
asked me yesterday who's real and who's not? Between the
Commanders and the Packers, we saw the Commanders are real.
I'm not so sure the Commanders or the Packers are real.

I'm not so sure the Commanders are Yeah.

That was a big question I was asking before, is
Who's Is there a fraud in this game? You know, look,
we got a one game sample size. Not trying to
make something a mountain out of a mole hill by
no means I will sean brace here be the Giants.

No, I'm saying the Commanders are the fraud.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, you're saying they're fraud, all right, But don't you
feel like it's a little early for that?

Can I read you a couple of quarterbacks stats here?
So jayde Daniels had forty two pass attempt last night. Yeah,
on passes beyond eleven yards, he was zero for eight
thirty one of his passes where inside ten yards are
behind the line of scrimmage. I think we may have
had a little bit of a premature Jayden Daniels.

Wow, And Jane Daniels isn't Josh Jellen. He shouldn't be
throwing the ball forty plus times on the football game. No,
and the right of r washing game.

Austin Eckler gets injured yesterday and he's out for the
year with an achilles tear now, So if they don't
have a balanced a rushing attack, I don't trust Jyan
Daniels to throw the ball forty plus times in a
football game.

And that's happened. Why I'm like, this regression is coming
for the Commanders.

Well, let's be fair about it too. Terry McLaurin enters
camp late, right. They got to try and find their
their you know, their flow.

Oldest team in the NFL. Deebo looks darn good, he does.
What is your takes, beef?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
The passing game, I think, to start, even last week
against the Giants was very pedestrian. Terry I think is
the biggest thing he had a career year last year
by far his best year in the NFL, and he's
been non existent through two weeks. He got paid, like
you were saying, maybe he has to do with a
slow start, late start to camp, but still, this is
a guy that would have just had his best career
season with Jaden Daniels last season. So I was definitely

on kind of regression watch for this Commander's team. I
still think they're going to be in that mix of
nine and maybe ten and seven at best, but I
just don't see it from top to bottom. I think
they had so many things kind of break right for
them last year, and one of the biggest things with
their success last season fourth thounds.

That's one of.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Those things that always kind of regresses to me, and
we see it year after year with turnovers, balls bounce
your way a certain amount of times, you might get
a couple extra wins for that fourth downs. That was
one of their biggest things last year. So sophomore slumps too.
Like Jay Stroud last year, I think he took us
absolutely a year.

One as well.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I would just say Jaden is the real deal. I
he's the real thing.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
He's crowding him as the MVP of the league, a
top five quarterback the league. What you're seeing all these rankings,
He's not there yet. That is not gonna be a
great quarterback. But it's year two right now. He's not
there yet.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
No, you're right.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
And I did hear somebody say that on television where
it was like he could he could have won the
MVP last year.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I never thought that.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I never thought that, especially with the seasons that those
teams had. I never thought Jayden Daniels was a MVP
type candidate. Look, nobody had expectations for the Commanders to
do what they did. I thought he played a great season,
But come on, I think we need to slow down
just a little bit. I think the story needs to
be more about the Green Bay Packers because as we
look around the NFC from the Eagles perspective, they are

their toughest competition. Fair.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Absolutely, it's fair, But I'm still not one hundred percent
bought in on them because I don't think that they
have that kind of game changing weapon on the offensive end.
Like last night, Tucker Craft looked really good, but push
comes to shove, like fourth quarter, you need a big
time first down. I know Jalen's looking to a j Brown.
I know Jalen's looking to DeVante Smith. If you're the Packers,
who are you going to? Jaden got hurt early last night.

Mattick Golden then far no existed so far, but I'm
a huge Matt Golden.

He overthrew him on the one fourth down play and

those guys came on as the year went on, by
the playoffs.

Could see Matt Golding emerging as especially number one, especially

Yeah, and look they got a great run game. Jordan
Love is the truth. It's a darn good coach with
the floor. But that defense was buzzing. That's back to
back games where I thought that that defense really showed
me something. And that's the main reason why I look
at them as the toughest competition in the NFC. I'm
curious who's number three on that list as we come.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Odds wise, it's Commanders.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
But yeah, I don't think we're buying the commanding off.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
The Lions after that Week one loss with the Packers
dominated them. I think we should buy some more stock
in the Lions after what we saw the Packers do
last night. Like the Packers are as good of a
team je Eagles in the NFL in my opinion. And
so when when you talking about what they did to
the Lions week one, the Lions are still really good.
There's no shame in losing or even getting embarrassed by
the Packer.

Yeah, they got to figure something a lot like the
Commanders last night in terms of performance wise.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Guess what the common denominator is the Green Bay Packers
to go pack go all right? The question to get
the party started here as we are broadcasting live.

From Penn State. No, we're not saying we are come
on now.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
We are live once again, the field, Tap and Tavern

start is now, the Green Bay Packers are favored to
win the NFC here on DraftKings Sports. But plus three
hundred is that an overreaction to what we have seen
so far through two games? From Green Bay's perspective, what

else do you think goes into that recipe is the
are the odds makers looking at the Eagles in a
different light right now?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Beef?

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I think you just have the benefit of they play
two games, yeah before anyone else did. Like, if the
Eagles go to Arrowhead on Sunday and beat the Chiefs,
you're telling me that they're not going to be favorites
to win the NFC by eight o'clock on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Oh, we will be talking about that game too.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
I think part of it is the Packers just beat
the two contenders in the NFC other than the Eagles,
so so that that's a big factor where a lot
of people are gonna be looking to bet the Packers
right now.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
So you're gonna put them at or or. Yeah, the
Packers have that short price.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
But look, you can't take the mantle from someone else
and other than the Eagle.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
You gotta beat the man, and they have four from
doing that.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
The Eagles are still the best team of football. They
still have the advantage across the board, offensive line, wide receivers,
running back.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
You could even say quarterback, I would say, I would
say you can.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
I'm saying the Eagles have the Eagles have advantage across
their offensive line, across the entire offense. So look, the
Eagles are the best team of football. They should still
be the favorites. That they are the teams a beat
until the Packers dethrown them.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
The other thing I think that's baked into the number
is it's really hard to repeat that. It's really hard
to do the same thing year after year, that when
you have that target on the back, that there you're
the team that everyone's ready to throw their fastball give
their best effort. And that's what the Eagles are gonna
face this year. Like, yes, they are one to know.
They did not look excellent in Week one. I feel
now I give them benefit of the doubt that it
was a weird game. There was a lightning delay, Jalen
Carter got kicked out before he played a snap.

Heard that a lot went wrong.

What do you do, Yeah, a lot went wrong that
I'm willing to overlook it or have that much of
a critical take for the Eagles, But I do think
from a neutral perspective, you can look at it and
not be you know, swayed by the Week one performance.

All Right, speaking of the Eagles four to twenty five,
kick on Sunday on the road in Arrowhead. It's the
rematch that the Kansas City Chiefs would imagine wanted more
than anything. Right, they get that bad taste out of
their mouth, but unfortunately, yeah, they just came. They're coming
off a loss right now to the Chargers. Currently on
DraftKings sports book, you're looking at the Birds as a
point and.

A half favorite forty six and a half.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Holden steady there once again, that kick is going off
of four to twenty five.

I made my case yesterday. I got to stick to it.
As passionate as I.

Was about the Green Bay Packers winning on Thursday Night football,
I feel just as good as about the Eagles winning
that game.

I think that's crazy. I know you do. I think
that's crazy, And you know what you should. You should
think it's crazy. I do. You're the better team. Our
team doesn't always win the football game. That's fair.

Since twenty twenty one, nineteen of twenty one teams that
have started zero to two have missed the playoffs. So
you're telling me you can. There's all sorts of trends
like that. Good if you're that roster's that talented. There's
three super Bowl teams. He's got to played. Justin Herbert too.

There's I don't think they're win the division charge. We'll
come with that statement in a little bit. There have
been three Super Bowl winning teams in the history of
the NFL that have started owing two, So I think
it's possible. Right, would you be shocked if the Chiefs
were lost on Sunday and then all of a sudden
we're able to right their wrongs when Rashid Rice comes
back and you get a healthy, worthy and maybe a

more motivated Travis Kelce right, the offensive lineman, the rookie,
excuse me, the left tackle whos struggling right now, you know,
maybe he finds his groove a little bit more in
the season as well. Like, I would not be surprised
if that's how it plays out, especially in that division.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Which is a brutal division. Like even beyond the charge
of you mentioned, the Broncos are a contender or in
the mix at least, the Raiders are gonna be better
than people realize. They have genos, if they have Pete Carroll,
that are more competent franchise than they've been in plenty
of years to this point that it's gonna be like
a blood bath in that division right there.

But I'm on Brace's side here. I think this is
a slam dunk for the Eagles. One of a hash.

Yeah, you know, like Lebron, like like like d Way

There's two quarterbacks who take the field every game and
the worst one.

The way that makes it seem is that he stinks
the worst quarterback.

He was out played. He was out played. Yeah last
week that's better terminologies outplayed.

But I want to emphasize how crazy it is that
He's now been outplayed. It's the first time in his
career back to back games. It doesn't happen. He's always
been the best quarterback in the field. That's why the
Chiefs have been so successful because they always have that advantage.
Now against the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts
was the better quarterback against the Herbert, but Lissa against
Herbert last week he was justin.

Herbert was the better quarterback. I don't think that can
happen three times. Like, I think it's one of those
same guys, the same guy. I think it's one of
those games.

are we taking into account as well that this game
is at Arrowhead? Yea, the Eagles have won there, they
have regular season I would like to know what Patrick
mahomes career.

on Villanov was asked what are you seen in the
film room by Penn State, like what stands out?

gotta be confident, you have you have to be and
especially that position, one of the toughest positions in all
of sports. You're on an island. Yeah, so he's got
to have that mentality, that attitude.

And of course coach Ferranti is gonna join us, and
he absolutely believes that they can go out there and
win this game.

really officially started the college football season just yet, so
you know, they might be a little sluggish, might be
a little slow here in week three or four. What

three by next week and they got to buy and
then the officials start for Penn State. It looked great
last week. They haven't covered either, Yeah, exactly, good team.

Same James Franklin usually is a covered machine against these
big spreads.

do think Jordan Love is gonna start putting up MVP
type statistics. I mean, after this, after two weeks, even

Tough division when you have the Lions, Packers, Bears, Vikings
like that is probably the best two divisionals exactly. So

you play Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry and the Ravens,
you can give up forty plus points that that's just
gonna happen. Or is this Jets offense legit because they
just hung a lot of points up against a wood
Steelers team.

So is Justin Field is actually gonna be a guy
who can lead this team to a potential playoff? Berth
this year, we're gonna find out if that Week one
game for the Jets, even in a loss, was a
fluke or not. And this is a big matchup, divisional matchup,
So Bill's Jets is a really intriguing game too.

Were you buying the Jets preseason because I was not?

I will not justin fields game.

I'm a justin fields guy and a Jets guy, and
I think Week one was a pretty strong showing for
my field stock owners.

Jets fan, and he goes, yeah, we're the Jets.

We're gonna mess this up.

There's a lot of points on the road to be
giving Buffalo or Buffalo to be giving on the road.

Especially after Buffalo played up crazy games such a letdown.
Spots Down hasn't really dominated the Jets when you look
at his numbers over the years, and obviously usually wins
those games, but he hasn't been like otherworldly, especially at MetLife,
So I don't think it's going to be a huge
Bill victory.

Not so much a look ahead, but an interesting spot.
I'd be curious to know some trends. They're playing Thursday
night against the Dolphins, so knowing that they have the
short week, maybe they just don't have it all working
in their favor, and the Jets sneak up on them
and all of a sudden drop fourteen in the beginning,
just like wake Forest yesterday, which had me a little nervous. Yeah,
they're in the kickback. You don't see that happening too often.

Although in the NFL. I do want to give credit
to the league for making the change that they did
and getting a lot more returns. You're starting to see
that there's more of a penalty if they kick it
into the end zone. I think it's five extra yards
thirty five. Yeah, so, and that is a huge difference.
And that's why one of the reasons why how he
did what he did to get Tank bigsby, which you
got to give how we a ton of credit for

being proactive. Realize, now you know it's definitely his job.
His job is always day in, day out, improved the team.
But to make that move, to see it and some
will Shipley injury concerns too too. You're right, which is

the Saints are terrible. I have really no expect. Kellenmore
struggled in Game one.

fair about it. But there were moments where he wasn't
as crisp as he was with the class. Heck Ben

He looked really impressive in that game and on the

people are eyeing that matchup up Number one. Number two
is from the betting perspective, you just look at what
the Saints did last week Cardinals roll in.

point favorites in that game. They ended up covering the number,
