It's one of the best football atmospheres in the country.
Game of the week tomorrow, Villanova Penn State. That's why
we're here. Let's enjoy it. Let's have a show, damn right.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
And of course our returning champion, the one and only,
the great storyteller of the Philadelphia seventy six ers, John
Binar PHOENI.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
I was unsure when I was regarding either, but I
will take it man. First time to Happy Valley for myself,
could not be happy to be taking into Villanova versus
Penn State game. And I know that this is a
tough atmosphere to play in, but they play the games
on the field for a reason, and.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Anything can happen ry now. I like the way you're
selling that forty seven and a half. But we'll talk
plenty about the game coming up. Hey, head coach Mark
Farranti is gonna be joining us from Villanova live here
at the Field Field Burger and Tap in Happy Valley
State College, to be exact. And of course I can't
thank the folks over at Playfly Sports, Nino and company,

(02:34):
thank you very much. Of course, minos hanging out with
us right now. Playfly great partners with us over here
at iHeartRadio in Philadelphia and of course home of the
Villanova football and a basketball team.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
We can't wait for this game coming up tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
But bottom line, the season in front of us, it's
gonna be a lot of fun, to say the least.
With that being said, we are alive and it looks
like we're experiencing some technical difficulties.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
That's great though. We are good all right, I trust you.
Sean Minard's pushing all the right buttons. Thank you. Hey,
we're live right here.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
As long as we're over the air, I think it's
something to do with the stream as far as the
visual is concerned. But other than that, we are off
and running. Look a lot to get to I do
know this. Let's put the phones down, He'll handle that.
Let's talk about what we got going on. As far
as last night with.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Green Bay and what they did to the DC commanders.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Look, that was a game that I thought a lot
of us were on the right side. There were a
few people out there that were talking themselves into the
commander side, but all in all, the Green Bay Packers
felt like they were to play. Sam, I know you
were very passionate. I was passionate as well, and it
paid off. The back door was wide open. Oh, the
back door was wide open. Very frustrating as far as

(03:44):
how that game ended, because.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
It was a blowout. It was a bloodbath. Green Bay
is for real, Sam, They're for real.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
They're my Super Bowl pick before the year for a reason,
and there's no question mark. I mean you look before them,
Micah Parsons Tree, how elite that pass rush was. And
then you had Micah Parsons who you have to double
team every single time he's on the field, whether he's
rushing from the right, from the left, from the inside,
it doesn't matter. Every time he's on the field, he
commands double teams. That opens up that entire pass rush,

(04:13):
So forget the offense for a second. That Green Bay
defense is legit. And then you have Jordan Love, who's
one of the better quarterbacks in the league, a deep
wide receiving corps, Josh Jacobs has a runner with a
really great offensive line. This is as a complete team
as you'll see in the NFL right now. And you
asked me yesterday who's real and who's not? Between the
Commanders and the Packers, we saw the Commanders are real.
I'm not so sure the Commanders or the Packers are real.

(04:34):
I'm not so sure the Commanders are Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
That was a big question I was asking before, is
Who's Is there a fraud in this game? You know, look,
we got a one game sample size. Not trying to
make something a mountain out of a mole hill by
no means I will sean brace here be the Giants.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
No, I'm saying the Commanders are the fraud.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, you're saying they're fraud, all right, But don't you
feel like it's a little early for that?

Speaker 6 (04:56):
Can I read you a couple of quarterbacks stats here?
So jayde Daniels had forty two pass attempt last night. Yeah,
on passes beyond eleven yards, he was zero for eight
thirty one of his passes where inside ten yards are
behind the line of scrimmage. I think we may have
had a little bit of a premature Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Wow, And Jane Daniels isn't Josh Jellen. He shouldn't be
throwing the ball forty plus times on the football game. No,
and the right of r washing game.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
Austin Eckler gets injured yesterday and he's out for the
year with an achilles tear now, So if they don't
have a balanced a rushing attack, I don't trust Jyan
Daniels to throw the ball forty plus times in a
football game.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
And that's happened. Why I'm like, this regression is coming
for the Commanders.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Well, let's be fair about it too. Terry McLaurin enters
camp late, right. They got to try and find their
their you know, their flow.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Oldest team in the NFL. Deebo looks darn good, he does.
What is your takes, beef?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
The passing game, I think, to start, even last week
against the Giants was very pedestrian. Terry I think is
the biggest thing he had a career year last year
by far his best year in the NFL, and he's
been non existent through two weeks. He got paid, like
you were saying, maybe he has to do with a
slow start, late start to camp, but still, this is
a guy that would have just had his best career
season with Jaden Daniels last season. So I was definitely

(06:05):
on kind of regression watch for this Commander's team. I
still think they're going to be in that mix of
nine and maybe ten and seven at best, but I
just don't see it from top to bottom. I think
they had so many things kind of break right for
them last year, and one of the biggest things with
their success last season fourth thounds.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
That's one of.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Those things that always kind of regresses to me, and
we see it year after year with turnovers, balls bounce
your way a certain amount of times, you might get
a couple extra wins for that fourth downs. That was
one of their biggest things last year. So sophomore slumps too.
Like Jay Stroud last year, I think he took us
absolutely a year.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
One as well.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I would just say Jaden is the real deal. I
he's the real thing.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
He's crowding him as the MVP of the league, a
top five quarterback the league. What you're seeing all these rankings,
He's not there yet. That is not gonna be a
great quarterback. But it's year two right now. He's not
there yet.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
No, you're right.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
And I did hear somebody say that on television where
it was like he could he could have won the
MVP last year.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I never thought that.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I never thought that, especially with the seasons that those
teams had. I never thought Jayden Daniels was a MVP
type candidate. Look, nobody had expectations for the Commanders to
do what they did. I thought he played a great season,
But come on, I think we need to slow down
just a little bit. I think the story needs to
be more about the Green Bay Packers because as we
look around the NFC from the Eagles perspective, they are

(07:22):
their toughest competition. Fair.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Absolutely, it's fair, But I'm still not one hundred percent
bought in on them because I don't think that they
have that kind of game changing weapon on the offensive end.
Like last night, Tucker Craft looked really good, but push
comes to shove, like fourth quarter, you need a big
time first down. I know Jalen's looking to a j Brown.
I know Jalen's looking to DeVante Smith. If you're the Packers,
who are you going to? Jaden got hurt early last night.

(07:45):
Mattick Golden then far no existed so far, but I'm
a huge Matt Golden.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
No catches last sex. Yeah, well he was open on too.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
He overthrew him on the one fourth down play and
he overthrew him in a shot from the end zone
too as well.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
She like Molik Neighbors last year, Marvin Harris last year,
those guys came on as the year went on, by
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
By the end of the season, I.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Could see Matt Golding emerging as especially number one, especially
with Reid.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Down now with the broken collarbone.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah, and look they got a great run game. Jordan
Love is the truth. It's a darn good coach with
the floor. But that defense was buzzing. That's back to
back games where I thought that that defense really showed
me something. And that's the main reason why I look
at them as the toughest competition in the NFC. I'm
curious who's number three on that list as we come.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Odds wise, it's Commanders.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
But yeah, I don't think we're buying the commanding off.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
The Lions after that Week one loss with the Packers
dominated them. I think we should buy some more stock
in the Lions after what we saw the Packers do
last night. Like the Packers are as good of a
team je Eagles in the NFL in my opinion. And
so when when you talking about what they did to
the Lions week one, the Lions are still really good.
There's no shame in losing or even getting embarrassed by
the Packer.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, they got to figure something a lot like the
Commanders last night in terms of performance wise.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Guess what the common denominator is the Green Bay Packers
to go pack go all right? The question to get
the party started here as we are broadcasting live.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
From Penn State. No, we're not saying we are come
on now.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
We are live once again, the field, Tap and Tavern
having some fun out here the Daily Ticket rolling with
you live. The question that I will roll out to
start is now, the Green Bay Packers are favored to
win the NFC here on DraftKings Sports. But plus three
hundred is that an overreaction to what we have seen
so far through two games? From Green Bay's perspective, what

(09:36):
else do you think goes into that recipe is the
are the odds makers looking at the Eagles in a
different light right now?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Beef?

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I think you just have the benefit of they play
two games, yeah before anyone else did. Like, if the
Eagles go to Arrowhead on Sunday and beat the Chiefs,
you're telling me that they're not going to be favorites
to win the NFC by eight o'clock on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Oh, we will be talking about that game too.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
I think part of it is the Packers just beat
the two contenders in the NFC other than the Eagles,
so so that that's a big factor where a lot
of people are gonna be looking to bet the Packers
right now.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
So you're gonna put them at or or. Yeah, the
Packers have that short price.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
But look, you can't take the mantle from someone else
and other than the Eagle.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
You gotta beat the man, and they have four from
doing that.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
The Eagles are still the best team of football. They
still have the advantage across the board, offensive line, wide receivers,
running back.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
You could even say quarterback, I would say, I would
say you can.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
I'm saying the Eagles have the Eagles have advantage across
their offensive line, across the entire offense. So look, the
Eagles are the best team of football. They should still
be the favorites. That they are the teams a beat
until the Packers dethrown them.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
The other thing I think that's baked into the number
is it's really hard to repeat that. It's really hard
to do the same thing year after year, that when
you have that target on the back, that there you're
the team that everyone's ready to throw their fastball give
their best effort. And that's what the Eagles are gonna
face this year. Like, yes, they are one to know.
They did not look excellent in Week one. I feel
now I give them benefit of the doubt that it
was a weird game. There was a lightning delay, Jalen
Carter got kicked out before he played a snap.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Heard that a lot went wrong.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
What do you do, Yeah, a lot went wrong that
I'm willing to overlook it or have that much of
a critical take for the Eagles, But I do think
from a neutral perspective, you can look at it and
not be you know, swayed by the Week one performance.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
All Right, speaking of the Eagles four to twenty five,
kick on Sunday on the road in Arrowhead. It's the
rematch that the Kansas City Chiefs would imagine wanted more
than anything. Right, they get that bad taste out of
their mouth, but unfortunately, yeah, they just came. They're coming
off a loss right now to the Chargers. Currently on
DraftKings sports book, you're looking at the Birds as a
point and.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
A half favorite forty six and a half.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Holden steady there once again, that kick is going off
of four to twenty five.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I made my case yesterday. I got to stick to it.
As passionate as I.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Was about the Green Bay Packers winning on Thursday Night football,
I feel just as good as about the Eagles winning
that game.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I think that's crazy. I know you do. I think
that's crazy, And you know what you should. You should
think it's crazy. I do. You're the better team. Our
team doesn't always win the football game. That's fair.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Since twenty twenty one, nineteen of twenty one teams that
have started zero to two have missed the playoffs. So
you're telling me you can. There's all sorts of trends
like that. Good if you're that roster's that talented. There's
three super Bowl teams. He's got to played. Justin Herbert too.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
There's I don't think they're win the division charge. We'll
come with that statement in a little bit. There have
been three Super Bowl winning teams in the history of
the NFL that have started owing two, So I think
it's possible. Right, would you be shocked if the Chiefs
were lost on Sunday and then all of a sudden
we're able to right their wrongs when Rashid Rice comes
back and you get a healthy, worthy and maybe a

(12:38):
more motivated Travis Kelce right, the offensive lineman, the rookie,
excuse me, the left tackle whos struggling right now, you know,
maybe he finds his groove a little bit more in
the season as well. Like, I would not be surprised
if that's how it plays out, especially in that division.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Which is a brutal division. Like even beyond the charge
of you mentioned, the Broncos are a contender or in
the mix at least, the Raiders are gonna be better
than people realize. They have genos, if they have Pete Carroll,
that are more competent franchise than they've been in plenty
of years to this point that it's gonna be like
a blood bath in that division right there.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
But I'm on Brace's side here. I think this is
a slam dunk for the Eagles. One of a hash.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah, you know, like Lebron, like like like d Way
to Lebron that picture from back in the day.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
That's right now.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
I was hyping up on Tuesday with Brace the minus
six and a half get plus two seven odds on
shout out DraftKings Sportsbook.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
I'm on that, but I do think the Eagles went
by a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Plus it's just one of those games where you just
trust Mahomes and you don't think about any other factor.
Like like, Mahomes has now been outplayed and back to
back games as the worst quarterback on the field for
the first time in his cour.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
When you say that, it gives me shivers down my crazy.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
But can we come up with a different words, like
the worst quarterback?

Speaker 3 (13:46):
There's two quarterbacks who take the field every game and
the worst one.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
The way that makes it seem is that he stinks
the worst quarterback.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
He was out played. He was out played. Yeah last
week that's better terminologies outplayed.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
But I want to emphasize how crazy it is that
He's now been outplayed. It's the first time in his
career back to back games. It doesn't happen. He's always
been the best quarterback in the field. That's why the
Chiefs have been so successful because they always have that advantage.
Now against the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts
was the better quarterback against the Herbert, but Lissa against
Herbert last week he was justin.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Herbert was the better quarterback. I don't think that can
happen three times. Like, I think it's one of those
same guys, the same guy. I think it's one of
those games.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
In a different moment, though it's a different moment. And
are we taking into account as well that this game
is at Arrowhead? Yea, the Eagles have won there, they
have regular season I would like to know what Patrick
mahomes career.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
And they played Buffalo after that game too, and then
it collapsed right Chiefs the lines.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
And then Sirianni went in the tunnel and he was like,
you like that.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
You run up those victories and then all of a sudden,
you know, we Hey, look a lot has changed since then.
Bottom line is, here's the deal, folks, we are coming
to you live from the field, Burger and tap and
shout out to of course swinging and dang it, Moose,
Maze and Danielle. We got to get something going here, Nino.
We need to hook something up here, coming up maybe
in the spring of the Summertime to bring us back

(15:08):
out here.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
This is an unbelievable resort. We're off a country club lane,
the top trees golf resort.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Now, Sean Bernard is new to the game, but he
knows a thing or two when it comes to the
great game of golf. Beef, You're not a golfer, Sam Austry,
not a golfer. But this course, this course, Yeah, so
you know about golf courses. A nice golf course, beautiful course,
great cart path right here in the very nice cart
girl too. If I could say, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,

(15:38):
what come on, keep it above the belt brace. Let's
go here all right once again, live having some fun.
We're gonna be rocking out here till six o'clock. Head
coach Mark Faranti is gonna be joining us in just
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
We will talk to him, have, of course, an honest
discussion about this game. Because something was said. We went
out and got a bite to eat before the show.
We did the show before the show, and the question
was asked, could be the greatest upset in college football history?
Allow yourself to dream, allow yourself to believe for just
one second, and.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
I gotta say brace Tuesday the Coaches Show, they sounded
confident that this did not look like a team intimidated
rattle that I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
I'm telling you that I was trying to put that
out there for the you know, the territory. They're gonna
be digging up that Coaches Show. Yes, uh no, you're right.
You did text group and you said, yeah, there's some
being said. The main statement that caught your attention from
that show on Tuesday.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
Was what I was gonna avoid that, But the main
statement that did catch my attention was I won't even
put them fully on blast. But one of the cornerbacks
on Villanov was asked what are you seen in the
film room by Penn State, like what stands out?

Speaker 7 (16:40):
And his reply was nothing we haven't seen before. You
gotta be confident, you have you have to be and
especially that position, one of the toughest positions in all
of sports. You're on an island. Yeah, so he's got
to have that mentality, that attitude.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
And of course coach Ferranti is gonna join us, and
he absolutely believes that they can go out there and
win this game.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
They hung with them a couple of years. The spread
is the spread.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
One thing we do know is that Penn State hasn't
really officially started the college football season just yet, so
you know, they might be a little sluggish, might be
a little slow here in week three or four. What
are we in three? We got zero, one, two and
three by next week and they got to buy and
then the officials start for Penn State. It looked great
last week. They haven't covered either, Yeah, exactly, good team.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
Same James Franklin usually is a covered machine against these
big spreads.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Forty seven and a half is the number.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
We will have fun with coach Bronte, and he's got
a great attitude and I can't wait to get his
thoughts heading into this game.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
And of course he had a great walk.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Through today with his team, so he'll be joining us
after that, and uh, we'll have some fun with coach
as it is a beautiful day here in Happy Valley
and of course a huge game for Villanova and Penn
State last.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Time they played.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
I'm so happy we're here because that's one of the
things that that hit me a couple months ago when
we were putting this trip together, was when Villanova and
Penn State played. Everybody was there. My timeline was flittered
with pictures. There's everybody party and having a good time.
And nobody does a tailgate like Penn State. So it's
gonna be a lot of fun. And of course we're.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Getting broadcasting live an extended.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Pregame show from the lots right outside the Bryce Jordan Center,
a college football rundown extended show with Beef Brace, Austree
and Bernard. Here's the deal. We're gonna take quick time out.
We're having some fun once again from the Fieldberger and Tap.
I'm gonna play some music in the commercial break. We'll
come back. We will open up in fl week two

(18:28):
and hit on some of the big games coming up
on Sunday. As we just tipped our or put our
toe into the water. From the Chiefs and Eagles perspective,
we'll go ahead and start into board. From the one
o'clock games, we got great college action tonight, including Lobo Country.
We stand, we ride, Let's ride fade Ucla. We got
some other games we'll discussed there, and of course the

(18:50):
college football Card.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
We got a lot to do. We're here till six o'clock.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Do not go anywhere, Keep it locked right here to
the Gambler once again, getting you ready for all.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Things Villanova and Penn State this weekend. More after this.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Live from the field Burger and Tap in Happy Valley.
This is the Daily Ticket with Sean.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Brains coming to you live once again the field of
Burger and Tap here in Happy Valley, getting you ready
for all things Villanova and Penn State. And we got
ourselves head coach Mark barant They're gonna be joining the

(19:29):
party coming up here shortly. Sean Bray, Saryan beef Coyle,
Sam Austrey, Sean Bernard hanging out opened up the show
talking to all things Packers, Go, Pack Go. They have
taken over the odds on favorite to win the NFC
on DraftKings Sportsbook plus three hundred two the Eagles at
plus three seventy. Overreaction or not Love to get you

(19:51):
involved in that conversation at Fox PHL Gambler at Fox
PHL Gambler. All right, so from last night's game, quickly
on this MVP Jordan Love. Let me ask sam ashtre
you that question, Jordan Love two games in m VP
of the league or Packers, Yes, of the league, the Packers.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
He's the only guy who's played two games so far.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
So yeah, sure, well I bring that up to you
because you moved from plus twelve hundred.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Wasn't that your preseason pick? That was my MVP pick.
So I'd love for him to win MVP.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
I got trying to lead you to that. I appreciate it.
I got him at plus twelve fifty. He's down the
plus eight fifty now, so I mean, it's.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
A lot of odds movement.

Speaker 5 (20:27):
I think he's gonna I don't think he's actually had
an MVP type of year just yet. I think this
Running Game had Josh Jacobs scored again last night. It's
eleven straight games. Yeah, touchdown crazy. I think this Running Game,
this offensive line, they're lying on a ton. But I
do think Jordan Love is gonna start putting up MVP
type statistics. I mean, after this, after two weeks, even
though he's the only guy's played two weeks, two games

(20:48):
Josh Allen's still the MVP of the league. I just
based off what we saw on Sunday night and that
hasn't changed. But Jordan Love's on his trajectory to win
the MVP, and I have the ticket on him because
I'm a huge Jordan Love fan.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
I think he can lead this team to a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
I don't know if I've ever met a huge Jordan
Love fan before. Mark Henry Oh, he is, Yeah, he is.
He's a big Packers.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
It's just time to buy stock after last year because
people were so low on him.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
But it was because he was injured. He did get hurt,
a bunch of injuries he was dealing with was so
low on him. So I was like, all right, I'm
gonna buy stock now when it's so low because people
are are down on Jordan Love.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
The guy is a great quarterback.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Odds Josh Allen plus three to fifty, Lamar plus three seventy,
Jordan Love seven to one, Mahomes still hanging eleven to one,
Joe Burrow eleven to one.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Herbert Burrows Crazy by the way, twelve to one. I
think this is an AFC Award.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
You think it's an AFC one of those AFC quarterbacks,
Jalen Hurts can get a good price on him at eight.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Now at fifteen to one. You know where Burrow ranked
amongst quarterbacks? Why not?

Speaker 5 (21:46):
Of the perception around him is that he has a
great team and he's not a great quarterback.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
If he continues to but if he has games like
he did against the Cowboys where he allowed the game
to come to n scores, two rushing.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Touchdowns on the ball, the yards a year a game, sure,
but it still feels like the national media would never ruin.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
So that's more along the lines of he's an MVP
of the Eagles, not the league exactly a whole. And
that's another discussion.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
By the way, you know where Joe Burrow ranked amongst
quarterbacks in passing yards in Week one twenty nine?

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Correct? Wow?

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah, that was probably the biggest disappointment from Week one.
And also I'd like to get this out of the
way the show inside the show during the commercial break,
my promo that aired on Monday from Monday's Daily Ticket,
where I gave you the power rankings of the three
most impressive performances from Week one, and how do you
not have the Indianapolis Colts played the Dolphins in the

(22:39):
top three.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
Yeah, they were Dolphins dominant. The Dolphins like are a
borderline NFL team this year? Like they were embarrassing and
what can you think.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
That's that's not that's not an overreaction to one game.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
No, I mean I think that's less of an overreaction
than saying the Colts.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Are well again, it was most impressive. If you told
me to power rank the teams, the Colts would be
up there.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
I don't worry like that.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Yeah, said by power rank most impressive performance from Okay,
I think you could put that in there.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
That's more. It's a better slant. Okay, all right, terminology, it's.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Because we're doing even though the Ravens lost that game,
like you're still at record.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
But this is now we're getting into the world of
the college football side of things, where it's like, wait,
you got a nine and three record.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
They got a nine and three record. How do you
say one team is better than this is why you
shouldn't vote on the eight people? And there you go.
People do really he didn't do their homework? Has she has?
She fired up her Twitter account. I got to keep
eyes on them. I was last night, stop stop.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
She has no I don't think so either. I saw
that there was an AP voter that called for her vote.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
A lot of them, A lot were like because this
is kind of the story is it's kind of like
makes everyone look bad in this situation that one person
not doing the homework or putting in the necessary like
kind of reflects on every vote.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I think, why is she like on like a zoom though?

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Like what got they called her from the from the
I don't know if she knew that they were getting
into that, or maybe she didn't realize how switch how
ugly it was going to get for her, but they
called her up. It was a USC Southern cal sports
radio show that got her on, and that was immediately
her answer. And I don't know if she was ready

(24:23):
for it, that's what she was like, Well, let me
just says ready, Yeah, that went well, all right, here's
the deal. We're out here broadcasting live from Happy Valley,
the Fieldburger and Tap and a What is an absolute
gorgeous day? I would say not a cloud in the sky,
but there's a bunch, but it is gorgeous. Sun is

(24:44):
shining seventy five degrees sunny.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Whether you could possibly get in the middle of September.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
I'm a big September guy, man. I think I think
September could easily be the number one month in the
calendar year, easily. I'm a fall guy, Football's batly guy.
July guy through Yeah, you're getting older to watch. July
is gonna lose a lot of its luster.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
When you're not a memory. All right, let's do this.
I want to get to the college card coming up here.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
But first, since we're in the world the NFL, a
game that is jumping off the page at you, just
from a fans perspective, if you would not mind enlighten
me on a game that you've been looking at from
a fan perspective, something that's gotten the juice is going,
putting the Eagles and the.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Chiefs to the side.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Ryan beef quil I was looking at the actually second
Monday night game with the Raiders and the Chargers. I
thought the Raiders were definitely one of the more impressive
teams from week one. I have not been a part
of this Patriots hype train that the Patriots being back,
but still I like what they looked like on offense
last week. The Raiders, I've slept on Gino over the
past few years, but he looked impressive. And say what

(25:53):
you want about Schip Kelly, but he can dial up
some offense. I think that's gonna be a fun offenses
here with brock Bowers and Genty. I mean, then the Charge.
I think one of the stories of week one, how
good Herbert looks in their performance.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Can he do better in year two under hardball?

Speaker 4 (26:06):
But anytime you beat the Chiefs, that's a noteworthy win,
one of the best games of his NFL career so far.
I'm interested to see those two teams square off on
Monday night because I think either of.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Those teams on a right day could contempt for that
ac West crown.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
It is interesting with brock Bauers, I know he didn't practice,
and again, these are the types of things that constantly
change their fluids.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
So that's why I love Countdown to Payout.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Roy Burton will be in the share with John Jansen
on Sunday eleven to one.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
By the way, Natalie eganoff getting her debut show rolling
on the Gambler. The roster is building, boys, and I
can't thank you guys enough, of course for leading the
Charge all these years. But bottom line is Hadding Natalie
on Sundays Breakfast before the Birds ten a m. This weekend,
and then we roll into roy Burton, John Jansen count
down to payout eleven to one, and then at three

(26:53):
o'clock live from enemy Territory, Green Legion Radio out at
Arrowhead Quibian Company, rolling live for all things Eagles and Chiefs.
And while I'm at it, since I'm promoing some things,
just to let you know, we will be rolling live
on Fox twenty nine dot com and you can get.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
That at roku all the streaming services you can name.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
On Sunday the twenty first, when the Eagles take on
the l A Rams that is a one o'clock kick
at nine am, nine to ten am, We're streaming on
the Gambler with Green LEAs and Radio. I'll be hosting
Leading the Charge with Quimby and everybody, Trey Thomas as well.
Eagle's great, but it will be streaming on Fox twenty
nine streaming services, so please check us out, let them

(27:37):
know and enjoy.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
It's show number one.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
We got a brand new desk built. This thing is
like ridiculous. It's a college game day set. But here's
here's the rub We don't have the college game day
crew to set that up. We don't have the college
game day truck to deliver it. Who's bringing that, Pat McAfee. Well,
I'm trying, but guess what, Pat McAfee's gonna.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Have to drive the truck as well.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Anyways, keeping it going, Shampannard over to you Week two
game from a fans perspective, where you.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
At, Yeah, and I do think I know we disqualified it,
but I think the Eagles and Chiefs is the obvious
answer there. To go outside that box, I would see
the Bears versus Lions. Man, I think Detroit obviously did
not look like themselves. I know we just hyped up
the Packers to start this segment, and I do think
it's true that that says more about the Packers. Well,
we got to see this Lions team pick up the
pieces that there has to be an extent that. I
know the x's and o's got disrupted, They've lost both coordinators,

(28:26):
but the jimmiess and Joe's got to step up. Man,
that is a talented roster that has to play better.
And on the other side of things, the Chicago Bears,
I was impressed in the early part of that game,
and then they fell apart with the king dominating, So
how do they pick themselves up?

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I want to see what both these teams are made of.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
In Week two, Yeah, that was disappointing for me because
that was the primetime game.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Another one that I thought was actually going to work
out my favorite did not happen.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
But we righted those wrongs last night with Green Bay
coming out on top in a big way. And then oh,
by the way, NC State wolf Pack. I don't know
why they it's the wolf.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Right, Yeah, that's Albernia thing to shout out.

Speaker 6 (29:01):
They go like that though, Yeah, the wolf I think
I'll see it too, But yeah, we were the Golden
Wolves shout out.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
I don't like that, but that's what they do down
there at State Horns. But it's like more with the yea.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
You could see it. If you have a kid, you
do a lot of the shadow puppets. Right, maybe I'm
pretty good.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I mean right, we're not talking about that's a wolf beef.
That's a wolf. It's a wolf.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
I don't know what that means, all right, And NNC
State came out on top as well, covering the number
went over their team total, so.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
That was nice. Nice day at the office.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Sam Austry. One game this week and from a fans perspective,
NFL Week two.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
Well, when I was looking through the slate it was
Bears Lions. I caught my attention, Sean. What's the stat
when a team starts oh and two? We were talking
about earlier, what's the percentage it'll make the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yeah? It was it twenty seven nine something that you
start to that's what, Yeah, twenty one.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
It's very rare where you can get in the playoffs.
And these two teams are looking at one of them
is looking, oh and to start between the Lions and
the Bears, not just.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Oh and to start, but knowing to start in a really.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
Tough division when you have the Lions, Packers, Bears, Vikings
like that is probably the best two divisionals exactly. So
that's a tough RoadHead for whoever loses this game. And
interesting too, it's from the Lions perspective of the coordinator switch,
how does Jared Golf look with a new play caller?

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Of course is Caleb Williams. How long is that leash
gonna be for Caleb Williams?

Speaker 5 (30:19):
Because we're what kind of point where if he continues,
I won't even say he struggled on Monday night.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
But he wasn't great. He wasn't a one pick.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Yeah, for sure, over fires, misses some open guys, But like,
how long is that leash gonna be? It's not gonna
be past the season. They don't think he's got he's
the guy Ben Johnson's gonna move on. But that's so
that's when I'm looking at the slate. That's the most
interesting game. That's what I'm looking forward to the most.
I also want to bring into another game Bill's Jets
in New York. We're gonna find out if this Jets
team is legit against this Bills And there's still question
marks about the Bills defense. I'm not that worried when

(30:48):
you play Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry and the Ravens,
you can give up forty plus points that that's just
gonna happen. Or is this Jets offense legit because they
just hung a lot of points up against a wood
Steelers team.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Sure usually a great Mike Tomlin defense.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
So is Justin Field is actually gonna be a guy
who can lead this team to a potential playoff? Berth
this year, we're gonna find out if that Week one
game for the Jets, even in a loss, was a
fluke or not. And this is a big matchup, divisional matchup,
So Bill's Jets is a really intriguing game too.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Were you buying the Jets preseason because I was not?

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I will not justin fields game.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
I'm a justin fields guy and a Jets guy, and
I think Week one was a pretty strong showing for
my field stock owners.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
I'm still I'm still it's the Jets guy. Like correct
show me. Like my roommate from college was a diehard
Jets fan, and he goes, yeah, we're the Jets.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
We're gonna mess this up.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
At some point six and a half, I think all
the Jets fans field that, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
There's a lot of points on the road to be
giving Buffalo or Buffalo to be giving on the road.

Speaker 5 (31:44):
Especially after Buffalo played up crazy games such a letdown.
Spots Down hasn't really dominated the Jets when you look
at his numbers over the years, and obviously usually wins
those games, but he hasn't been like otherworldly, especially at MetLife,
So I don't think it's going to be a huge
Bill victory.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Not so much a look ahead, but an interesting spot.
I'd be curious to know some trends. They're playing Thursday
night against the Dolphins, so knowing that they have the
short week, maybe they just don't have it all working
in their favor, and the Jets sneak up on them
and all of a sudden drop fourteen in the beginning,
just like wake Forest yesterday, which had me a little nervous. Yeah,
they're in the kickback. You don't see that happening too often.

(32:22):
Although in the NFL. I do want to give credit
to the league for making the change that they did
and getting a lot more returns. You're starting to see
that there's more of a penalty if they kick it
into the end zone. I think it's five extra yards
thirty five. Yeah, so, and that is a huge difference.
And that's why one of the reasons why how he
did what he did to get Tank bigsby, which you
got to give how we a ton of credit for

(32:43):
being proactive. Realize, now you know it's definitely his job.
His job is always day in, day out, improved the team.
But to make that move, to see it and some
will Shipley injury concerns too too. You're right, which is
a shame because I think we're all big will Shipley fans.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Right, he got the ball decent bit before. In the
first quarter he was off and running. Yeah, and they're
going to need somebody. I think they need to take
a little off of Saquon too.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Yeah, the touches he got last year, I don't think
that's sustainable, even his injury history as well.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
It's something I often go back to, and I hate
it because I'm definitely, you know, regurgitating the same old
song and dance with this. But DeMarco Murray, it's it's
the reality of what that situation was. And everybody was
saying Dallas just ran him into the ground. You don't
want anything to do with him, And I never bought
into it. I thought DeMarco Murray had the skills. Obviously,

(33:36):
DeMarco and Saquan are different beasts, and throw.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
The whole system stuff with the DeMarco Murray, the chip
Kelly stuff and not running him in the same way
that they didn't Dallas.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
I think they were.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
His career was never the same though, from that year,
from the year that he rushed, he broke a lot
of players.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Yeah, also true, I chal as they.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Went ten and six, ten and six and back to
back seasons. He was terrible, wasn't he? And then what
and then what happened the championship last year? And then
Chip Kelly ran his course and he had to get
out of the NFL.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Then he get another opportunity with the Giant or the
forty nine ers, And I have no idea what's the
point of Yeah, well that was like a three and thirteen.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
He's back to the NFL, though there were a lot
of people going he'll never be in the NFL again.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
Chip is a never just wants to coach again. Yeah,
I don't think he wants to be a head coach.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
I think he just wants to dial up plays on
a napkin. And yeah, Brock Bowers Gino and I was
a huge Chip guy, huge Chip. That was one of
the lost legal seasons of my life. Yeah thirteen, Yeah,
running up that first drive against the.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Against Washington, Yeah, all right, it was all new, all right,
A couple of games that we should be eyeing up
against Survivor. Pool play is definitely something I want to
get before we get out of here. We got until
six o'clock. I do want to point this out. A
lot of injuries right now. I think the biggest injury
to detail heading into week two would be the forty

(34:56):
nine ers without Brock Party mac Jones filling in the thing.
People are saying that I'm reading a lot right now, Beef,
I'll come to you to start here is the fact
that Shanahan wanted mac Jones.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
He is his guy.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
He made it work with Party, He's made it work
with a lot of quarterbacks out there. Shanahan is a genius.
I'm not afraid to use that word when it comes
to uh Shanahan. As far as his offensive schemes, he
is very good at what he does. But mac Jones,
the Saints are terrible. I have really no expect. Kellenmore
struggled in Game one.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
He did. He struggled. It felt very I watched.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
That that too, that too, so you have to be
fair about it. But there were moments where he wasn't
as crisp as he was with the class. Heck Ben
Johnson struggled, like these guys are going to go through
growing pains being.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Just a play caller first managing an entire game. Him
Clung plays a completely different piece. You're not just gonna
get it game one.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
I look at the Saints and it has to start
with Spencer Radler being a quarterback. We know what the
history is, but it felt like once they got across
midfield or even in the field goal rates, they were.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
Like, Oh, whatever you do, don't screw up. We've got
to get points. Is this the worst quarterback matchup of
all time? Not all time?

Speaker 2 (36:06):
Who's worse than the teamed up versus somebody?

Speaker 6 (36:10):
But it had I feel like in all those situations
there was at least one guy that he could be.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
There was a Tommy the video a couple of years ago. Whoever,
Washington's quarterback was a guy? No, No, who's the who's
the other quarterback? Taylor correct and he got cut?

Speaker 6 (36:31):
Watch out for Trey Lance, Man, Watch out for Trey
Lance and he get picked up.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Quarter Chargers the best quarterback on the Charge. We're going
to talk about Justin Herbert and the l A Chargers
coming up here. I promise you I want to know
l Charge.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
I look, Justin Herbert could very well could very well
be making Sean Minardia's words a lot.

Speaker 7 (36:50):
Not willing to concede remotely no, you should not if
they go eighteen seventeen to know you're not gonna.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
So here here's the question. Back to the fort the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (37:00):
I mean, he's most historically he's the historically the worst
playoff performer of any player in any sport.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Forty nine that's a historically.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
Do you have anybody worse breaking the table than somebody
at the blown the third largest lead in NFL history
in sixtees.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Any sport is crazy.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
James Oh certainly as higher highs than Justin Herbert in
the playoffs higher highs, but overalls playoffs is worse than
Justin Herbert. He probably sized Joel Vida's game winners in
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Justin Herbert has game losers in the playoffs, two of them.
It's Week one.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
He looked really impressive in that game and on the
road against in Brazil. So we'll see if he's able
to continue that. But allow me to get back to
the forty Nineers and Saints. And the reason why I'm
doing that is for survivor pool play. A lot of
people are eyeing that matchup up Number one. Number two
is from the betting perspective, you just look at what
the Saints did last week Cardinals roll in.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
You get the forty nine ers rolling in.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Cardinals went off of what six and a half seven
point favorites in that game. They ended up covering the number,
but they weren't all that impressed. Now you get the
forty nine ers. I did it again, the forty nine
ers going into New Orleans, and you're telling me that
they're only three points better here. I think we're undervaluing
the forty nine ers slightly, slightly.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
I think I think the forty nine ers it's real easy.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
I'm sure it's one of the bigger players we'll see
from the public perspective.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
From public, you're saying on forty nine ers minus story, yeah,
I think you're saying.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
By the mac Jones, I love time. Really they moved
from seven to three. I'm not sure brock Purty is
worth four points for the spread.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Party played pretty m shann Es. I'm not hurt Bald now.

Speaker 5 (38:38):
I'm not saying then, but I'm just saying when when
Kyle Shannon's dialing stuff up. I'm not sure any quarterback
under Kyle Shannon is worth four points to the spread.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
I'm not a mac Jones guy who knows what who is? Yeah,
I mean I guess who is. But like George George Kittle, George.

Speaker 5 (38:54):
Kill is a big loss too, which people aren't talking
about as much as the quarterback. Still, the Saints are awful, Like,
I don't have Kyle Shanahan to prep and call plays
at a higher level than than anyone on the Saints.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
So I think that the Niners win pretty handily more.

Speaker 6 (39:11):
Quarterback friendly head coach Kyle Shanahan or Kevin O'Connell.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
It's got to be O'Connell at this point in time.
O'Connell is just special.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
I think you make a case for you, like why
would you just like Kirk Cousins, I think is better
than anyone that Shanahan's dealt with recently.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Is Sam Donald? Sam Donald like Rock Purty. They're that
big of a dation. I don't know. I think you
can make the case for either one.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
A right Shanahan, I just said, like I would use
the word genius, but man, Kevin O'Connell is.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
The real deal. Yeah, I used choke artists.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
I think Kyle Shanahan is better at developing a system
around the quarterback where he can win games with Jimmy
g he can win games with Rock Purty.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
I think Kevin.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
O'Connell is much better at developing the actual quarterback.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
And making him into a great play. We'll see what
JJ McCarthy won't. That's that's his that's his baby.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Yeah, I really think because you you let a fourteen
and three leed Sam Darnold go out the door and
basically say all right, JJ, it's your time now. And
he's very impressive second half last week by him three.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
And a half point favorites at home taking on the
Falcons forty four and a half is our kick there.
That's the Sunday night game Minnesota at home. JJ McCarthy
played a great fourth quarter. But I think we're going
a little over the top with mister McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:22):
I can't quite overlook how bad he was the first
three quarters of that game, really, and he was unbelievable
in the fourth. And I give him the due to
a ton of credits in your first career NFL start
to have like the mental toughness and wherewithal to be
able to put that to the side and straight up
ball out down the stretch there.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
But at the same time, I mean him in the.

Speaker 6 (40:39):
First half, the pick six, the incompletions that he had
it was bad. So I respect and appreciate. We'll give
him the acknowledgment for the comeback victory. The jury should
still be out on JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Yeah, well it's not. It should be the what's that commercial?
Come on, ride the float? Is that it?

Speaker 4 (40:57):
Right?

Speaker 3 (40:57):
Isn't that the the NFL commercial where they're riding the float?
We all are looking at five.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
We all terrible commercial that plays every commercial break.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
It has all the teams and they're on the float.
They're in the parade. Come on commercials just looking for support.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Wow, all right, it is terrible. It's a terrible commercial.
All right, we're moving off. That was a terrible segue
by me. Let's keep it moving here. We're live from
the Fieldburger and Tap. What a gorgeous day. And again
I can't thank our partner's over there at play Flash Sports,
Nino and his team, Travis uh just rolling out and
doing anything and everything to make this happen. We got

(41:40):
a lot on our plate this year, a big basketball season.
Not trying to hit the fast forward, but by no means.
But of course, coach Willard, what's happening this weekend.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
What do we got going on with the Knicks flavor?
What's happening up there in Kanas their introduction to the season,
the Madness.

Speaker 5 (41:56):
Next week, they're gonna the women's basketball team, women's head coach.
I was talking about that, I was talking about the podcast.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
Yeah, those are connected. Oh it's the same night. It's
the same night. I didn't know. My bad, my bad,
my bad, my bad.

Speaker 5 (42:12):
So we got the badness is coming getting ready for
the season. The women's team, the women's coach, the men's team,
the men's coach. It's all culminating in The Roommates podcast,
Villanova alumni legends Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart The Roommates Podcast,
it's all going to be there all next Wednesday night
at Villanova.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
It's gonna be a bad job by Me, Bad job
by Me.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
It's going down September seventeenth at the Fen doors are
opening at six pm. Go ahead and check out everything online,
so you can go ahead and see if you want
to make it out there. But I would imagine that
that's going to be a popular ticket, to say the least.
So once again, of course, Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson.
We had some Big five action as far as news break. Yeah,

(42:55):
and now what's happening with Saint Jose is their names.
Donahue as the head coach and game a.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Three year deal, get fired from Penn and you get
basically promoted to Saint Joe's. It's probably weird six months
for coach downa who over there?

Speaker 3 (43:10):
The hawk never dies, right, something like that.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Anyways, that's an exciting year to say the least, or
exciting week to say the least.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Up there at the fen As. Those guys have a
ton of fans, and rightfully so. So we do have
some quick breaking Eagles news. No Dallas got it, No
Dallas got it. Kind of felt like that that was
going to be the case. What happens there? Where are
we at? Grant? Grant Calcatarra Grayson I.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
Believe is the other guy in the mix right now?
This is probably a situation where they're gonna have to
elevate someone from the practice squad.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
Should they trade for Calpit?

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Of course, free coupit, but no, seriously, after this year,
I know goddr got the reworked contract or whatever. Correct,
I don't think that's a situation where you can give
him another year. He's always in and out of the lineup,
and when he's on the field, he's a damn good player.
But I think it's a spot where tight end has
to be one of the points of emphasis going into
next season that you're kind of looking to build the future.

Speaker 6 (44:03):
They kind of did this offseason and couldn't land on
anybody too. The door was opened for a new tight
end and Dallas got it to no longer be here.
They could not find an upgrade, and it kind of
felt like one of those you know.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
Well, Kyle's a free agent next year.

Speaker 5 (44:14):
I mean, there's a lot of talk in the off
season of how much Git or even in training camp,
how much Channel was targeting. Dallas got her, and then
you saw that weekend he was his number one guy,
especially what they were doing zoning up a j Brown.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Do Wilson ever play tight end? Johnny? I know he
got hurt, but wasn't he playing tight end last year?
Tight end started a tight end. That's a terrible That
was a terrible injury.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
Yeah, so, uh, as the I was working out a
vision fits, shout out to our friends of our vision fit.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
The like they will put the YouTube channel on.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Sometimes it's Kobe highlights, this guy Bamba whatever, a lot
of basketball highlights. But I walked in the other day
and it was the YouTube running recap of last year's
Eagles season, and it was just crazy because you forget.
Maybe you didn't, right, but I forgot. Remember saquonk going
off against the Rams on what Sunday Night Football?

Speaker 3 (45:00):
When he ran for all those yards, he made you
think about that.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
And then Wilson scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys on
the road in Dallas, and like, oh, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3 (45:08):
He actually scored a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
So that was a tough injury because he actually had
a pretty good preseason game one.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
Yep, yeah, And I.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
Would imagine his number might be called to get some
look at tight end. I don't know if I'm wrong
on that or not, but unfortunately won't be the case.
