How you doing today, Sir ah man Seun. I appreciate
you having me.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
First off, I have to give a shout out to,
you know, some mutuals that we wouldn't be here without,
and that's Mike Powers, and that's Sean Bernard and Nick Kurcio.
So shout out to those guys because they're the team.
They're the guys behind the scenes that sometimes don't get
too much credit, but they deserve all the love as well.
So shout out to those guys for making it happen.
(01:18):
I'm feeling good man this past month. Yeah, you're a question, dude.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I'm tired. I can't lie to you. I'm tired. I'm tired, man.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
But you know what, there's been such a high to
everything that's been going on. And I continue to say, like,
I'm so blessed to be in the situation I'm in
because I used to literally dream of times like this.
So to come off a month where you know, I
got to go to Cincinnati, got to go to Atlanta,
got to see Fanatics Fest all my favorite athletes, and
then I cap it off with Devonte Smith's benefit this
(01:47):
past weekend. You really like, it's like some WWE scripted
type stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I can't even believe it.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, look, you know it's you're putting yourself in those positions, right, Like, Yeah,
there's definitely an ounce of and everything, whether teams win
a championship, whatever happens, right, Like, there's always some sort
of luck, But at the end of the day, you
make your luck, right And I have been watching you
now for a little while. We met what two years ago,
a year ago, whatever it was, Yep, a long time ago,
(02:15):
it feels like, and was just blown away. I remember going, Wow,
he's too good. He's too good. I was like, all right,
maybe I would love to get him involved, but damn,
he is really good.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
And it's just no surprise at what you're doing.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
And again, last year was the first time that Devonte
Smith softball benefit was like, really the first time that
I saw what you were capable of. And you are
a madman with the camera. You are very talented, and
it starts there. Correct, Like that's where you're able to
at least make your bones, make your way, make your
(02:50):
connections because of everything you're able to do behind the lens.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Correct.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, So essentially, I always you know, I went to
the Connecticut School Broadcasting right in Cherry Hill, and I
always wanted to work in the broadcasting sports area. But
the thing is is, obviously, you know, the jobs are
very few and far in between. So I was lucky
enough as I was wrapping up school and this is
a story that you know, when people ask how I
got here or what do you have to do? I say, like,
(03:13):
this isn't something that you can necessarily replicate. But if
somebody that hears this can gain a little bit of
inspiration into taking that leap for themselves, then that's a
win in my book. So essentially, I was wrapping up
school in Cherry Hill and I went through a fitness
transformation of my own. You know, I was about to
graduate and at the same time, I went from being
three hundred and seventy pounds down to now two ten
(03:34):
wo and so I went through this fitness transformation.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Right there, she gems, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
And so I went through this fitness transformation, and at
that tail end of it, this guy comes up to
me in the gym and he's like, hey, man, you
know I've seen you around, My wife has seen you around,
and we're just really impressed by, you know, the work
that you put in, your work, ethic, everything like that.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
So he wanted to know more about me.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
He heard that I worked in or wanted to work
in sports, and I did broadcasting through one of the
managers there, and essentially that guy ended up being part
owner of Clear Vision Marketing Group, which I now work
for and represents DeVante Smith.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
So that was about three years ago, and so I
finished up school and for about a year and a
half he kind of just followed what I did, and
at the time, I was doing my most sports podcast
and that really still is the foundation of my roots
and moneyline madness. You know, Rest and peace to my
boy Andy B. Because I still think of that kid
and I tag him in all my stuff today just
because I know, no matter where I go, that was,
(04:30):
you know, what we stemmed from, and he'll always be
with me in that sense. So knowing that that's where
I came from and everything, you know, I put in
this work and there wasn't anything monetary coming of it.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
You know, we were gaining following.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
We had you know, Shaquille o'nea was reposting our stuff,
We had celebrities, George Lopez. I mean the most random
thing was like Slash followed us and he doesn't follow
any other sports platforms, but most sports, like I remember,
like guitarists, the guitars, guns n' roses. You still look,
he still follows us. It's unreal, like he doesn't keep
up with sports at all. But he dropped most sports
to follow one day and that was like, okay, we
(05:03):
got something here. Yeah, so you know, I kept the
ball rolling and just tried to stay as consistent as possible,
and even though there wasn't anything monetary coming of it.
I mean, I remember, you know, going through relationships at
the time, and it's just like, this is your hobby.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Why are you putting so much work into it?
Speaker 4 (05:17):
And it's because I saw a light at the end
of the tunnel that not many people really could see.
I didn't know what that light would be, but I
did see that this was something that I loved to
do and I wanted to try and make the most
out of it at the time. So after a year
and a half, almost two years, you know, this guy,
I'll give him a shout out to my man Dean.
You know, he came to me and said, hey, man,
like I see the hustle, I see the grind, and
I want to invest in you. You know, we're going
(05:39):
to bring you into the company. We're going to extend
this production branch of Clear Vision, and you're going to
come and you know, cover the athletes. And on top
of that, we're going to go and extend our own business,
me and him into the media production space. And honestly,
like we were saying, that's primarily where I get my
bones from you know, there's so many ways to skin
a sheep when it comes to social media content. But
I found such a niche within my marketing realm and
(06:01):
that's where things take off over there now when it
comes to clear vision, you know, last year was my
first year shooting the athletes I got to experience. The
first one was Mac Wilson's rooftop party in Atlanta, and
big shout out to Mac because he didn't have to
fly me out, you know, that's coming out of his pocket,
and he brought me out and he covered me the
entire weekend, and he showed me the support that I
(06:22):
never expected to get from a professional athlete, especially being
new in the space. I had just gotten this cinema
grade camera, you know, this big investment, and the pressure
was on. Now. The thing that I had no doubt
about was that I was gonna put it, put in
the work. I was gonna put in the time. That
was never a doubt. It was my impatience that it
came down to. I wanted to be great off the bat,
you know, So when I did these first few events
(06:43):
last year, and I didn't necessarily see the product the
way I wanted to be. It frustrated me, but I
took the entire off season and that's why a lot
of people will now look at this past month and
see a lot of what I'd done and all the interactions.
You know, we have almost a million interactions on Instagram
right now on my personal profile, which is, you know,
something I never really expected. But people will look at
(07:03):
that and think it just happens. And the thing is
is that I stayed, you know, editing batches of photos
night after night, I mean, on the road. Now you're
on trips, and you know, a lot of those things
didn't come out good. You know, it came with those
like you have to sharpen the sword before it really
becomes effective.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
And I like that.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
I you know, I finally found my rhythm, found my
style in this past off season and this summer. It
has allowed me to, you know, take my talents to
the next level. And I'm lucky enough to be able
to utilize the network I have around me and just
elevate myself with that.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
And you're young, dude, how old are you? I'm twenty five. Yeah,
you're it's like your leaps.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
And bounds where I was at twenty five, where everybody
is at twenty five.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Come on, man, like you are absolutely crushy. You got
the vision.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
But let me just say this, like that's all well
and good, bought the camera, but it does come back
to what you said. You put the work, Like your
videos are different, your style is different than everything that's
that I see on my timeline. That's where it starts
and end. It's like your stuff pops. And I've said
this now for a little while. This is this is
(08:08):
great because this is what I wanted this conversation to
be around, Like almost to the point that like, yeah,
if somebody was listening out there that is trying to
come up, trying to figure out what they can do
to make a difference in the space for them to
stand out, I knew that you would be someone. Trust me,
if somebody hit me up and be like you need
to go check him out. And another guy would be
Sheffield Shuffler too, is another guy that's out there grinding
(08:29):
and just has his way and continues to grow every
single day.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
That platform is incredible.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
The same thing as yours, but like your your stuff
pops And now more than ever that is so important.
Like when I came up many many years ago. It
was about hey, man, like, how can I help you?
I'll empty a garbage can whatever, Like none of that matten, no, no, no, no, Now,
it's that will always be there. Don't get me wrong.
You got to have the right attitude. But at the
(08:56):
end of the day, it's like, what can you help
make this platform right? We all got to put our
vision together. We all know what needs to be done.
Content is king what can you do to help? And
I have been saying the same stuff for ten fifteen
years on radio. I have been having the same type
of opinions for ten fifteen years on radio. But it's
one thing when I put the video out five years ago,
(09:18):
where it was just like a little cut of a
video bing bang, boom, maybe a couple snips whatever, And
then now you put a little bit of that for
a little work, you know, a little bit of this
bells and whistles, and next thing you know, that piece
of content goes even further than what you would imagine.
It's the same at the end of the day, it's
the same thing that's coming out of my mouth. It's
(09:39):
the same opinion about the Phillies, about the eagles, about
the seventy six ers. Of course Taylor made to that
season's team. But I'm not a guy that's gonna flip
my you know, I'm not one of these hot takers
that just gives you an opinion one day and then
the next day it's like it didn't exist. No, Like
I'm consistent, but when it comes to things that want
to go and again, I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Use the word viral in a very loose sense.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
It's all about how sharp and you can make it
pop on that timeline, and that's what you're really good at.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Me. Ah, thank you.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
And I think that stems from, you know, what I
did with most sports, and we started off, you know,
we were doing our podcasting, but one thing that we
really prided ourselves in as well was that we were
posting viral clips. Like Bleacher Report posts viral clips, they'll
post those graphics, the two slide carousels. But the thing
was is that me, Corey Leonard, I mean, these guys,
we were studying the game of social media really before
(10:30):
it was popular to this extent, beruffically, so we were
behind the scenes knowing these little intricacies of Instagram, of Twitter,
of TikTok, and that allowed us to really gain an advantage,
and truthfully, I still use those types of tools in
my content today. And one thing that I would say,
you know, if you're putting out content and you're trying
to stay consistent, is that you need to be putting
(10:51):
it out the right way, the correct way, because you
could be firing off videos and they could be great videos,
but if you're not tailoring them to your specific audience,
and you're not catering them to a specif a niche
and demographic of consumer, then you're ultimately wasting your time
because you're just firing off videos into the void.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
I love it Mattson's studio with us here Mandatory Fallow.
If you don't already, he's got the zero at the
end of his last name.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
It's all one word, Matt Jericho c H I R
I see zero.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Was there really already a Matt Chericho I'd taken? Like?
Was that?
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Do you want to hear the story?
Speaker 4 (11:25):
So there's actually a videographer photographer in New York City
named Matt Cherifer. Yeah, so okay, it's great? Yeah yeah, no,
So I shot this guy. His this DJ. He's a
famous Argentinian DJ, Hernan Contineo and I shot a yacht
party and an after party for him at the Brooklyn Mirage.
And so we go from the yacht party and I
(11:45):
tell him, I'm like, hey, I need my pass to
get in the DJ booth and behind the stage so
I can shoot your content. And he's like, all right,
I'm gonna link you up with this person whatever. I
give this person a call and I'm like, hey, it's
Matt Jericho.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
I'm calling to inquire about this past. She's like, Matt,
you've been here like five times. You were here last
week with your crew. Like why are you calling me?
I'm like, what are you talking about? She's like, you
were literally here last week, Like just go through the back.
I'm like, no, I knew because I've done my research
and I obviously wanted that user name. And the thing
is is that he's probably he's got about ten years
(12:17):
on me, and he's been in the game for a while,
and starting off, I really took a lot of his
work as inspiration, and I reached out.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I did.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
I reached out and I said, Hey, it would be
awesome to work together, because like that's a sick collab, right,
Like two Matt Schericho's it's like the.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Spider Man meets pretty. He's pretty good too. He's elite,
he's got elite content.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
He's worked with Snickers in the NFL, He's worked with
Dave Portnoy and Barstool and stuff like that. But the
thing is is that he just egoed me every time.
So then it became a thing of like, Okay, now
I have to like make you pay for that. Like
quite truthfully, I'm I'm a competitor. I'm an athlete. At
the end of the day, I'm a former athlete. So now,
like all due respect, like I'm saying, his content is fantastic,
(12:54):
but if you want to sit here and act as
if I'm not even you know, a real person, like
sooner or later, we're going to run into each other.
We have some mutuals. I'm sure he was at fanatics
Fest last year. I tried hunting them down and I
couldn't find him. I swear I tried hunting him down
just to say what's up. And from that moment forward,
when he egoed me, read my message, hey I'm at
fanatics Fest two read it didn't answer egoed me. A
(13:17):
couple more times. I said it's on, Buddy, I said
it's on. Because now this town ain't big enough for
the two of us. I I'm sorry, I'm sorry. So
I have to do what needs to be done to
be frank, Like Michael Jordan, I took that personally, and
I felt like I had to take my content to
the next set.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
That is so good, that's so good.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Yeah, I'm looking at his his uh stuff right here,
and you know, teached her.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I'm good for him. But yeah, I know what's Matt Chercho,
I'm wrong with. We're We're applying pressure. That's the thing.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
And I think that's one of the biggest things is
that there's a few guys out here that I've taken
big inspiration on and I have good relationships. So like
this past weekend, my guy Var he I'm sure you
know Var. He's Jalen Hurts photographer. He shoots a ton
of Eagles games. He's fantastic in his line of work,
and he's always been super kind, respectful. He is Jalen's guy. Yeah,
(14:06):
and he's always I mean I talked to him last
year just picking his brain and he's always been super
supportive and shown nothing but love at the Philly Show.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Same thing.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
And you know, one of the first things he says
to me is, man like, it's awesome to see your growth.
So and I treat other photographers in this same aspect,
like there are plenty, there's plenty out here for everybody
to get a piece of the pie. And I think
there's just you know, having good relationships with other people
is one of the biggest things in this line of work, because,
like I'm saying, there's so much work to be moved around.
(14:35):
If I can't make it, I could pass it off
to somebody else. You know that I trust to handle
that job. So I think just continuing to network and
build even when you're already in the space, is still
one of the biggest things.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
You know.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Shout out to my guy Breezy. He told me when
I was first getting started with Clear Vision. He said,
you know, if I could give you a word of advice,
it would be to do favors as long as they're
not detrimental to yourself. You know, as long as you
can do somebody that favor, you know, you should go
ahead and do. As long as it's not sacrifice any
sacrificing anything that you have going on, go ahead and
do that. And I've walked with that, and I've taken that,
and I've brought people to you know, events that they've
(15:09):
wanted to get into. I've done you know deals with
some of my friends that they're trying to get their
business put onto. So I think one of the biggest
things within this space has been just the consistency in
trying to elevate everybody around me, because, like I said,
there's enough to go around, and we can all get
a little.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Piece of this pie in the sports world, no doubt
about that. Man, I'm right there with you when it
comes to that. Like it's it's fun when you have
people that you're able to bring on and watch them grow.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
And I'm like nowhere near that.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
But at the end of the day, like with this
little outlet that we have here, you know, seeing guys
like sham Manard do stuff for DraftKings, seeing Luke Rifeer
crossing Broadly crossing Brod like yea, these guys are just
continuing to grow and it's great, Like that's what it's
all about. So that's one things that that's one of
the things that I enjoyed the most.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Definitely and I think one thing that gets misconstrued within
this sports space especially is that a lot of times
you want to look over at what the other guy
is doing and say, man, he just took off like
I'm slacking right. Like one of my guys, Chris percy
An and he's a New York Knicks beat writer. You know,
he went to Fordham. He's great at what he does.
And I remember when I was still going to school
(16:15):
and I saw Chris just taking off, and he's one
of my best friends. Like he's a great kid, and
I love all of his work and I still like
love his stuff. And I remember saying to myself, like, man,
how do I get the takeoff like that? And then
I found myself saying, like why am I even looking
at what anybody else is doing? I should be focused
on being the better version of Matt Scheriko rather than
(16:37):
looking what everybody else is doing in their successes. There's
another guy, Sean Gettis. He has a good connection on
Twitter with Ben Stiller, and I was just like, I
don't understand how these guys like all of a sudden,
it's almost like they just get hand plucked and like,
this guy's gonna have success. Ye, And to the outside
that's probably what it looks like. But little do the
people know.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Now.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Being on the inside, I see all the hours that
get put in all the time, all the things that
people don't see, and that's ultimately what.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Leads up to that little burst.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
So it's never really overnight success or just like a
little you know, one hit wonder. You could say it's
a climax, a slow and steady climax.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
But if you stay consistent, it eventually does come.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
No doubt, man, And well said, I hope people are
taking inventory on this exactly what's coming out of your
mouth for anybody that's trying to do more and grow,
And regardless of the space, whether we're talking content, it
just it professional like. I think it fits with people
that are up and coming more than anything. But you
could take what you just said and apply it to
(17:35):
no matter the profession of relationships are everything and you know,
just trying to build it, realizing that this stuff doesn't
happen overnight, and continue to put out good work and
try and change an experiment.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
That's what it's all about. And have fun too, man,
you gotta have fun.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
So it looks like you're doing that as well, getting
out there the opportunity with DeVante Smith at the softball
outing last week, and DeVante ended up winning it on
a home run at the end, which was ridiculous. Yeah,
let's talk a little bit about that situation though, But Cooper.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Dejene is the guy man what man?
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Like, I'm making the case right now that he could
be one of the most athletic Philadelphia sports stars to
ever wear a Philadelphia jersey, Like I really do believe that.
Of course, it starts and ends with the fact that
he plays cornerback as a white man in the NFL
returns putts as well, Like, start there, unicorn, Yeah, that
makes you a unicorn automatically. But then this dude throws
(18:33):
down Alley oops at the Plestro. When's the three point
competition between the Eagles at the Plestro goes to Debata
Smith's horn home run, Derby cranks him out there like this,
this dude is the chosen one.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, and he really is. What do you see him
from him behind the scenes.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
So I actually had an opportunity to interview Coop and
I said to him at the beginning, I was like, dude,
I know everyone's going to be all over you. I
just want to ask you two to three questions whenever
you get a chance, and you know, you feel like
the time is right. So later on, you know, I
think he was back to that because he let me
ask them later on, and you know, he said, I
asked him exactly that, like, dude, you dominate every sport
you play, Like, what's the recipe, what's you know, Cooper's
(19:09):
secret stuff like in the bottle here. So he just
said that, you know, he's always been an athlete and
he just loves sports like he loves competitiveness, he loves
the game, all of them, you know, and he just
loves to win. So when he comes out and you know,
he said he heard of DeVante's softball game as soon
as he got drafted and he wanted to come out
last year, but he had a scheduling conflict. So to
(19:29):
hear that he's kind of been waiting in the wins,
you know, it was was pretty awesome that he came
in dominated the home run derby. I mean, like Isaiah
Rodgers is great too, He's an awesome guy and he
has a great swing home run derby swing, but man
Cooper Degene just dominated dominated.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
It's insane.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
It's unreal actually, like and then he made a catch.
He jumped over the fence.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, it was like a diving catch. It's just it's wild.
The clip is out there somewhere, Chap pull up the clip. Yeah,
like Jamie ro you know, like it's it's somewhere out
there that Coop robbed.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
I think it might have been t O. Like, it's
just wild. Man. He is an athlete and he's only
getting better.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
He's so young too, Like, he's so young, such a
humble guy as well.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
He signed everything, okay, anything that's great here he.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Was signing for kids, you know, Like it gets overwhelming, man,
when you're that big of a superstar and you have
a hundred different kids standing at the screen yelling your name.
He still went over and signed a ton of autographs
multiple times in the locker room, on the fields, all
of it, and uh, you know that's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Man.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
That's been one of the best parts about being you know,
involved in this DeVante benefit, Davante's logan, Wilson's Max Events,
Dave Najoku's all the ones I've gotten experience with clear Vision.
It is a fan experience at the end of the day,
and that is what it is all about to us
and giving back. Seeing the smile on these kids' faces,
that just it makes it. There's nothing better than that.
(20:54):
Take me behind the scenes. The night before, you guys
did a little dinner. Where was that at Steakhouse downtown? Yeah,
that was a live that was a live casino. We
had Prime Rib, very nice and so yeah, they we
host a little dinner. The guys come, there's some steaks,
some crab cakes, you know, all the good stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
How many guys are there? How many people?
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Probably ten to fifteen of the players nice and yeah,
nice little it's very intimate them the sponsors, they share
a nice little dinner. DeVante's family, it's always a great
time getting to see all of them and getting to
really document like those kind of special moments for his family.
You know, everybody being in one place, probably as a
(21:33):
professional athlete isn't the easiest thing. So when you have
everybody dressed up nice for a nice dinner, it's really
special to be able to document that for them. And
shout out to his fiance Maya because she reposted the
pictures and they're about to hit like two thousand likes,
so they've just been going crazy and it is one
of my favorite pictures that we have on there.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
They do look very nice.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
We got we got some good ones with the Philadelphi Eagles,
we really do.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
And you know Davante of course. Aj Yep, you know,
the list goes on.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
We're just talking about Cooper there and then the king
of them all is jailing and he's not going anywhere,
and I know he's kind of in his own world,
which is great because I love that.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
I appreciate that he's got a very Jordan vibe to
him right now.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
And like you said, you know, he's got his own photographer,
but he's got his own style and he backs it
up and he delivers.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
And then some on the field.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
So we got a really really good group as far
as the Eagles are concerned. We're talking to Matt Jericho,
he's in studio, cousin Nikki checking in. Best guest of
them all. Baby, you're damn right.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
We gotta love that. Now. Here's here's another thing I
want to throw your way as far as.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Things that you have shot. Yep, you were at both
Fanatics Fest both.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Yeah, last year was really special and this year was
even better. It was special last year because I feel
like there wasn't that many people, Like it was kind
of unknown, right, like nobody really knew what it was
gonna be. And then to hear like exactly what it
was afterwards, it was like, Man, I would have went
to that. I know so many people that came up
to me. We're like, dude, if I knew exactly that
Little Wayne, Tom, Travis Scott, little Baby, all these guys
(23:02):
were gonna be there, I would have went. So last
year was sick. This year definitely was even better. Man,
I would say, yeah, I had more access this year too.
I knew what I was doing, And honestly, as cool
as it was to see the athletes, the biggest part
that I went was for the networking purposes. You know,
these are guys that I've connected with maybe over social media,
talking about like the people that represent them. They've seen
(23:23):
my work and now it's a time to kind of
show my face and give them a taste of what
I can do in person. Because I always say that
you know social media, you can see my content, but
once it's in person and you feel the you know,
the presence, and we could have a conversation. Actually, it
becomes a whole new ballgame because not many people, you know,
unfortunately in today's day and age, have that same like
capability to be able to hold themselves and talk amongst
(23:46):
this professional setting. So to have that type of you know,
quality to my conversation and my social skills is a
blessing for sure.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah. Look, the Fanatic spuss look really cool. Both years,
don't get me wround.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
This year definitely looked like and company said, you know what,
we did this well, but.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
We can do it best. Scot, Yeah, we can do
it better.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
And I think they did it felt like from a
far again, I wasn't there at either one. Did talk
to people that were at both felt like organization was
a little bit better this time, and.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
That's understood, right.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
I mean, you're gonna make errors in the first time
no matter what you do, even as if you're as
great as Michael Rubin and Fanatics are. Bottom line is
things are going to change and you're going to improve
on it. And I feel like they did that. And
then some the access as you pointed out, you got
a picture with Livy dumb Man.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Oh so I list you.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Let me just say, dude, you know how many people
would have signed up and given their left leg for
that opportunity.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Well, truthfully, I'm not like I just started making tiktoks
to post my fanatics best content, Like I haven't been
posting on personally like TikTok at all. So, like Livy
Dunn isn't like the other worldly type of figure that
she is to a lot of people. But exactly that
was the reason why I had to grab that photo.
I knew, like my little brother would send that in
the group chat at school and I was getting all
(24:59):
the state you know what I'm saying, Like I had
to do that, and that's exactly what. Yeah, So she
was really cool the entire weekends, Like even during the
Cane's Challenge where Joey Chestnut ate like forty tenders faster
than Ruben Drewski, Khalid and Livy Dunn. That was insane
And she was really cool during that and then the
next day during her signing too.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
So cool.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Yeah, I did see that video you were able to
chop up there as far as with the Canes Challenge, Oh,
what's Drewski?
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Like, Drewski's really cool.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
He's all about the people, like if he if he
could just hype up people the entire day like he will.
He loves the fans, he loves interacting with just anybody
that's around, and he will you guys, will joke like
he's known you his whole life. That's hysteria. It's so funny.
He's the same type of guy that you would think
he is. Yeah, he's He's definitely one of my favorites
on the timeline. Yeah, for sure. If he puts out
(25:46):
a video.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I gotta watch it.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Yeah, it's just the best and the best one with
the White dude. It's just cracking. It's great the one
he put out there just recently. Fantastic stuff there.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah, man, nice work across the board with everything you
got cooking appreciate. We are lucky to have you in studio,
stoping by with your busy schedule, and trust me, the
door is always open. You know that more than ever
with us here at the Gambler Gang. But I do
want to talk some sports with you, and I know
you're a die hard Nick fan and you got a
new head coach.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
We do. We'll come back on the other side.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
We're gonna find out Matt Jericho take on the new
man in charge of the New York Knicks running the sideline.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Apparently it's gonna be Mike Brown.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
It's not official just yet, but he did interview twice,
so we're kind of we're smoked. There's fire, and I
think it's a pretty damn good hire. We'll find out
what Matt has to say. On the other side, a
lot to do. Oh by the way, Phillies ended up
losing Game one six to four. Alright, they roll on
Game two coming up. We'll take a look at some
of those numbers and see if we can have a
(26:46):
winning bet or two. And while you're here, Matt, we're
gonna have some fun as well. It's Fourth of July
right around the corner here in just a couple of days,
two days. A matter of fact, America, I need to
know the must haves for the Fourth of July barbecue,
according to Matt Jericho. All right, So on the other side,
we're gonna do all of that. It's the Daily Ticket.
Do not go anywhere more than this.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
It's the Daily Ticket with Sean Brace three to six
pm Monday to Friday.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Bryce Harper is back in the Phillies lineup, and there's
no better time than right now, Harper. He's been out
since June fifth, and the fightings were just twelve and
ten in that stretch. Now, you didn't need to be
a baseball ficionado to see the offense lacked firepower. Just
look at the recent road trip. Brilliant pitching performances wasted,
including Ranger Suarez tossing sixteen scoreless innings without a single
(27:37):
run of support.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Brutal.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Harper's return pushes everyone back into their proper spots, locks
down the first base on defense, and brings the swagger
of a showman ready to deliver that clutch home run.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
That we can count on time and time again. It's
great to have Bryce back in the lineup.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
If you can wager on it, we're talking about it
right here on the Fast.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Daily.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Take it with you here on a Wednesday, fourth of
July week America. As Matt Jericho said, he's in studio
with us here having some fun. Of course, it is
July second, so you know, nothing too urgent on the
timeline in the sports world. We're in the middle of
the baseball season, a little too far for a lot
of people out as far as football is concerned. Now
(28:30):
we are consumed by football Monday through Friday, or Monday
through seven days of a week, three sixty five here
at this station. But for a lot of people diving
deep into those conversations kind of leave them. So I said,
you know what, today would be a perfect day to
get Maddens studio.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Hear a little bit about what he's.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Got going on, because it is a ton Make sure
you're following him on all things socials.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Is your Instagram the same? Yep?
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Yeah, yeah, h I R I c O match Chericho.
Not the guy with only a few followers. We're talking
about the man with the bigger following right here. So
we were discussing a little bit about Devonte Smith's softball
game and I was asking you during the break.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
About like who else played in it?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
And it hit me I forgot because man, this year
they got the big piece Ryan Howard out there, which
I would imagine.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
You're a WWB guy, right, aren't you a rastling? The pop?
Speaker 3 (29:23):
I love the pop. I would imagine Ryan Howard got
a big pop.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
It was incredible. Actually I have never okay, so I
shouldn't say never seen, but i'ves it's up there. It's
like him and BG. You know, there aren't many guys
that get that big of an ovation. It's Jalen, it's BG.
Ryan Howard, a goat cemented Philadelphia legend, and he was
awesome man, just an incredibly down to earth guy. And
(29:49):
one of the first things I said to him was Ryan,
you know, I've always been a big fan. And I
lived down in Tom's River, so right over about ten
fifteen minutes from my house is the Lake with Blue
Cloth State. So when I was growing up, you know,
when Ryan was going through his rehabilitation, me and my
friends would go to Blue Claws and we would see
this MLB guy, I mean, you know him Cole Hamils
(30:10):
like Jimmy Rollins.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
At times Utley would come through.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
These are guys that you know, all of a sudden,
the stadium would be packed out when you'd get one
of those big dogs walking through. And so one of
my best buddies, his name's Jagger. We grew up together
literally elementary school, sandbox type of thing, and his parents
brought me to my first MLB game at Citizens Bank Park,
and we also went to a bunch of those Lake
(30:33):
with Blue Claus games and I got a signature from
Ryan Howard at one of them, and I remember he
was signing and he wasn't signing too much that night,
but I said, you know, everyone's like Ryan, Ryan, Ryan,
And I said, Ryan, will you please sign my hat?
And he looks at the big crowd he goes, who
said please? And because I said please, you know Ryan
Howard signed. It was the fourth of July hat, so
(30:54):
it was the white with the red blue logo. It
was incredible. I still have it in my room. It's
definitely getting old, but I still have it. And I
told him that story and he loved it. And then
I told him about my friend Jagger, and Jagger is stationed.
He is in Okey now and right now he is
actually in Sydney, Australia in the Marines. So thank you
Jag for your service. We love and appreciate my brother.
(31:14):
We miss you over here. And I told Ryan about,
you know, my buddy, and how diehard of a Phillies
fan he was. And Ryan had to grab my phone
and he had to make him a quick video and
just thank him for his service, thank him for being
a Phillies fan, and said basically what we me you
and Sean Bernard have been saying for a little bit.
You know, it's not always easy as a Phillies fan.
There's some up and downs. But he thanked him for
(31:35):
his fandom and he even dropped a you know, love you,
appreciate you at the end, so you know, like you said,
the big piece just being the big piece man, like
he gotta love the guy.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Good people, man, it's always more fun when you when
you get like, at the end of the day, we
care about the scoreboard, no doubt about it. But it's
even better when you get good people seriously, you know,
and especially where you're at behind the scenes. It makes
your life easier when you know, you approach somebody that
is just being peppered with requests and they're still like
just pleasant to deal with.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
So that's pretty cool. Most of the birds awesome guys. Yeah. Again,
winning a Super Bowl will do that to you though. Yeap,
definitely right.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
We'll see what happens though, man, great stuff there. Speaking
of fandom, let's talk about the New York Knicks, because
a perfect.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Day to have you in here.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Yeah, this is the big story of the sports world
right now. It seems like Mike Brown would be the
next coach for the New York Knicks of course he
was the two time coach of the Year yep nine
and twenty three with the Calves and the Kings. Like
right then and there, you're like, damn dude, you were
coaching the year with the Calves and the Kings. Of
course with the Calves he had Lebron so that made
like Houch easier. But Sacramento was a huge, huge deal
(32:44):
and a big success. And then he ended up getting
canned the following season due to a sluggish start, so
a little raw deal, but got paid.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Well oh hum.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
He moves on and he gets an opportunity to coach
the New York Knicks. I will just ask you this,
like when they fired Tibbs, what were you saying? Were
you like just completely blown away? Were you upset? Were
you frustrated? Do you think he got a rod deal?
Where were you at there? Let's start with the Tom
Thibodeau decision to remove him as head coach of the
(33:11):
Knicks after having the most successful season in quite some
time as far as the Knicks are concerned.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Yeah, I mean Tibbs has been a pivotal piece for
the Knicks. I mean he got us out the mud.
He gave this franchise an identity, and he gave them
something to finally fall back on and say, hey, like
we actually have something here, And I think that is
exactly what they got out of him. But the thing
is is that when you get to these high leverage
games against coaches like Rick Carlisle, I mean, even in
(33:37):
his first year, if you want to go back to
the COVID season, losing to the Atlanta Hawks, I mean,
it was kind of inexcusable some of the coaching decisions
that he made, some of the rotations that he puts
out there. So I definitely looked at it from a
lens of I don't think and I didn't think that
we could ever really win an NBA championship with Tom
Thibodeau at the helm. Now did he surprise me in
(33:59):
the run that we this year. Definitely, and even against Boston,
like he had some great rotations in that series against
the Pistons as well. But the thing is is that
when it comes down to it, the issue was always
Tibbs getting exposed. So the ceiling was only so high
with this Knicks team as long as you have Tibbs
controlling them. And I don't know if Mike Brown is
(34:20):
necessarily the guy. I'd say, the only thing that stresses
me out is the fact that you got rid of
Tibbs without having an exact game plan. And I think
that's where the gray area lies, is that there was
uncertainty even within your organization. And hearing that even Leon Rose,
you know, somebody who has been extremely decisive in his
tenure with the Knicks, that kind of you know, it
(34:41):
scared me a little bit. But like you're saying, his
track record is all there. He works well with facilitating
big men. You know, Sabonus loves to move the ball around,
and I think he'll give Karl Anthony Towns the opportunity
to do that a little bit more. I think he's
gonna have og Nnobie and MiCab Bridges more of a
three and D roll rather than isolation guys. And I
do think he's an upgrade. However, it's not as big
(35:03):
of a needle mover as I think. You know, some
people want to make it out to me so, but
is that a necessity at this point in time?
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Like to me, the players are the players, and you
got a damn good roster, and you made some moves
already as far as to solidify that bench, which was
a huge deal last year at the end of the season.
And then of course, I think with the removal of Tips.
As much as I liked him and appreciated his style
of coaching, I don't think it was beneficial at the
end of.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
The long playoff run.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
It's a long season, and then you add on another
season that you know, filled with seven games series.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
It's a whole season. It really is.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Because all of a sudden, like I was looking at
my calendar and I'm like, we like the Pistons. I
remember his mid Celtics series and I'm like, we played
the Pistons a month ago. Yeah, it's why, correct, all
of a sudden, like you're wondering why these guys are
their tendons are snapping like hubba babba. I mean, hey,
we're the strain that they have to be going under
is probably ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
So, I mean between Halliburton, you have Damian Lillard, you
have Jason Tatum, I mean, it's wild.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's crazy, and and look, I'm not gonna sit here
and say Mike Brown is gonna get him to the
Promise Land, but I just feel like that the reason
why Tibbs was fired was because of that. His his
coaching style, and he was not going to change it.
And I think it was pretty easy to see, you
know that. Look, it's it might not be the singular
issue of why the Knicks did not get to the
(36:31):
NBA Finals, but I just feel like that if you
were to approach that series having a little bit different
as far as substitution, but again, he had what he
had to work with, maybe we're talking about a better
chance of winning that series.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
And then, oh, by the.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Way, if you get to that NBA Finals, you do
win that series, you still gotta win four more games,
so it's not even like you still got to go
through another level.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, team, it's wild.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
And I I think when when I saw Rick Brunson
having to tell Tibbs these commands and how to kind
of coach at the end of games in the Indiana series,
I said to myself, all right, if we lose here,
this guy's getting canned. I mentally was preparing myself for
that moment because it's clear that he never lost the
locker room. Everybody loves Tibbs, but he lost his coaching staff.
(37:22):
Quite frankly, I think they know they look to him
more of appear rather than hey, this is our leader.
And that's a big problem, especially in the NBA when
your head coach is a huge pivotal piece.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
Cousin Nick, you check him back in on the chat,
he said, Shout out to Matt's guy, Duce McBride, is
are you a big Duce mcgride McBride guy.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
So let's just say, don't be surprised if next weekend
me and Deuce are sharing a nice dinner. Let's just
say that got some things in the work with mister McBride.
Shout out to his team. He just came out with
the children's book and he has a signing next week.
So yeah, hoping to be over there working with Deuce
and a guy.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
And I do.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
I love Duce coming out of college, you know, West Virginia.
I always love Duce. His brand of basketball is just
awesome to me. He's gritty, hard nos defense, and he's
a bucket offensively. He's gonna shoot the ball, he's athletic,
and I think he brings a lot to the table.
And I'm really excited for him under Mike Brown to
see what happens because I think that's going to create
a lot more offense for guys like Deuce and especially
(38:23):
Karl Anthony Towns as well. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
See, and the talent is there, and that's what it
comes back to right there, you know, And this East
is wide open. I know we are a long ways
away from the season starting again, but ultimately I just
feel like the Knicks are in a really good spot
to take advantage of everything that's happening right now.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
Did you see who they're interested in as far as
players are concerned.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Yeah? Who else is out there?
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Former All Philadelphia All Star? Oh no, yep, there's interest.
There is interest in Ben Simmons now coming to New York.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
They think he can apply some facilitation off the bench
now listen for the right price. I'm not opposed to
it because he did have stints with the Clippers where
it looked like he was able to move the ball around.
If we don't need any offense, if Jordan Clarkson could
take enough shots for the two of them, I'm cool
with it.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
See. Look, you can have your opinion. That's fine.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
I'm not here to change your mind. I want nothing
to do with that dude. That dude doesn't love basketball.
He's completely shot in the head, and that's where the
issue is, right, Like, he has the skills that you know,
we would dream of, right, but when it comes to
the grind time in the middle of the game, there
is just a lock and he can't get past that.
(39:38):
And he did have moments with the Clippers, You're right
about that. But the issue is then what if there
are games where Okay, he finds his role and then
it comes to you know, crunch time and you can't
have he's a liability.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
On the floor.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
So now you're getting used to playing with him, and
now it's the playoffs and he's a liability. I mean
that dude, he's just look he he's able to get
the minimum. He's gonna come at a cheap price.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
You congratulations to him on his generational wealth. That's it.
That's really what he's there for.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
He's getting his bag and he's he's he's got his bag.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Oh yeah, he's well paid. Yeah, I think.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
I mean, I really can't see it because he doesn't
fit the identity of what the Knicks really have. So
I mean even when they acquired when they acquired o
G Nanobi, when they acquired Micle Bridges, it was like, Okay,
it's clear what they're trying to do. They're they're getting
these guys that play hard defense, good on the perimeter,
and are also great volume shooters. And I mean, you're
not having any of those qualities for Benjamin Simmons.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
The issue, the issue would be for me is that,
like I am all about a general manager, whether it's
the Hawks, the Knicks, the Clippers, the te Wolves, whatever,
it is like they see the vision as a former
number one overall pick, and you are getting him at
just an unbelievable cheap price. And then you see the
link and you understand the defense and you're like, man,
(40:57):
this guy could run the floor and he's good, and
he does it in practice right, Like the summertime is
year we see Ben Simmons shooting.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Shots all the time.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
It's like him and Mitchell Robinson shooting three pointers for
whatever reason.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
I just as far as if I was in.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
A general manager's role, there's no way I would even
sniff that, I would want nothing to do with it,
because I just know what's at the end of that tunnel. Yeah,
and there's nothing positive. So look, he's probably got another
year left in this league, and I don't think he's
gonna be playing basketball after that.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
I really don't. I think he's gonna be done.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
But like we talked about, he made a ton with
the seventy six ers, so good luck.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
To him again.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
Mike Brown though a lot to like and it comes
back to like, Okay, they made a decision to fire Thibodeau.
They wanted Jason Kidd. That's fine, understood, and Kid didn't bite.
Kid's gonna stay in Dallas. Pretty good spot there, And
that's one of the things that I was putting out
there earlier, Matt was that, like, hey, if Jason Kidd
(41:54):
doesn't sign this contract extension, doesn't get a contract extension Dallas,
you know the Dolans and Apps maniac that if he
becomes available, Kid could be the next coach next season.
Who knows, right, But Mike Brown is the guy right now,
and I think he lifts things up in a different manner.
I think he connects well with the players there. And
if I was a Knicks fan, I'd be excited. I
(42:15):
really would be. It's a new vision and this team
is good enough currently built to do some big things
in the East and the.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
And beyond, and to get to an NBA Finals.
Speaker 4 (42:24):
It's very funny that you mentioned, you know, you think
it's a good fit, because I'm not sure if you're
familiar with the zodiac GM on Twitter and this guy
he dissects every analyzing team and athlete synergy through Zodiac signs.
So the Knicks acquiring Mike Brown, who's a Pisces, the
synergy rating is a plus and his reasoning is Mike
Brown is an outstanding addition to an already strong synergy team.
(42:48):
His Pisces energy compliments Jalen Brunson a Virgo very well,
as well as the Pisces Virgo connection, which is already
quite powerful. Additionally, the core of the Knicks aligns perfectly
with energy. He brings passion, ambition, and adaptability, backed by
a wealth of coaching experience and knowledge of the game.
His strong connections are with Karl Anthony Towns, og Ananobi,
(43:11):
Josh Hart, Mkyle Bridges and Duce McBride.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
How about that? So, I don't know, I don't know
if I believe all.
Speaker 4 (43:18):
Yeah, it's something to hang my hat on at the
end of the day until the season goes.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Oh, I love it.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
Great stuff there, all right, Matt Jericho hanging with us
in studio. Of course, Nicks seemed to be the talk
of all things sports right now and with with Mike
Brown will be the new head coach for the Knicks.
It's not exactly signed on the dotted lines just yet,
but here we are with the Knicks moving forward and
rightfully so. They got a good coach there with Mike Brown.
(43:43):
It does not surprise me that he was the one
to rise out of the other candidates. You know, they
didn't get their guy and Jason Kidd oh well, they
shot for the stars. But like I said, that ship
has not sailed entirely just yet. We'll see how that
one plays out, all right, Matt, fun one before we
get out of here today, because I want to get
your thought as far as Fourth of July is concern.
Are you a firework guy or not? You seem like
(44:04):
you're a firework guy.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
Yeah, I'm with it.
Speaker 4 (44:06):
I mean, hey, I'm not gonna be the one lighting
them listen, Jason Pierre Paul, I'm a Giants fan that
gop tear back it up, tap that that can't happen.
I'm not gonna be the one lighting them off. But
I'm definitely good to be sitting back in my chair
cracking a few cold ones and watching them take.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Now you got my attention. Yeah, so we got a
cold one in hand. What are we sipping on? What's
what's Matt Chercho sipping on at the fourth July barbecue.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
So honestly, I'm not a big bubbles guy when it
comes to alcoholic beverages. So like, while everyone's overhanging with
the White Claws and you know, all those types of things,
the bubbly ones, I like the sun Cruisers because they're
just smooth and they got you know, they get the
job done. Yeah, you know, they're they're reliable. So I'm
gonna go with one of those. A steak on the grail,
can't miss. Has to be some baseball on the TV. Maybe,
(44:53):
you know, the speaker is absolutely present. Yes, the Divorced
Dad playlist is at full blast. I'm talking nickel Back,
Cherry Peppers.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
You know, Daughtry, all the above. So yeah, there's a cutoff.
I have no sleeps. The biceps areround, all guys.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
So that's that's honestly, probably exactly what you'll find me.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
That's hysterical. The Divorce Dad playlist.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
Oh my good bangers, night's work there all right, yeah,
And I'm just I'm throwing it out there to the people.
Good one for the timeline. What do you bringing to
the fourth of July barbecue?
Speaker 2 (45:27):
You know, like.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
I'm an older gentleman. I got a five year old.
So we got to entertain the kids, right, Gotta entertain
the kids, Matt. There's always kids. There's always people with kids.
They're bringing them. That's good. Come one, come on. So
you have to have some fun accessories. You gotta have
some toys. Here's what I tell you. Just purchased it
a couple of weeks ago. These things that hit I
bring it everywhere I go.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
It's a bubble machine. Oh man, a machine. Wow.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
Survey says zero nobody put it on the board.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
But still I am. I'm telling you right now, the
bubble machine. You're bringing that twenty on Amazon. You put
it in there. It's got four batteries.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
That thing just sort bubbles gore and it entertains the kids.
You got the music going Divorce Dad playlist, bubble machine,
rocking grills on fire, of course, you got the burgers
of the dogs, the steaks, all of that and more.
And also this I am a you know, not a sicko.
But I am a guy that can't pass up and
(46:25):
spending money. I think I spent like forty five bucks
and this dumb stuff the other day at the grocery store.
You know, the the bracelets, the glow and the dark bracelets.
The fourth of July. I got this necklace. You know
with the stars.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
You can find some sunglasses, you know, gotta have the accessor. Yeah,
gotta gotta bring them there really isn't.
Speaker 4 (46:45):
I mean, there's not many days that make you feel
as prideful as Fourth of July. So like you gotta
embrace it while it's here, because if you just like
there are people that are just too cool for it,
and it's like what do you.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Get out of that? You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (46:58):
Like you're gonna be that guy, Like you might be
fun at parties. Like that's literally that quote to a
te I love. So Yeah, if you're not at Fourth
of July parties, I mean I'm slinging can jam. Definitely
some corn hole is going on. If there's a volleyball
in that, we're getting that we might be getting a
little sweaty. Hopefully a pool is present. Yeah, and all
the vibes man, all the vibes. So we our neighborhood
(47:19):
is great.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
We have this We're on ninth Avenue and then there's
this gigantic hill and and like you get up to
the top and on the other side of that street, uh,
you get the perfect view. And but these people, this
is not like our fifth year there will do it again.
These people just open it up, man, and they provide
and it's so cool and it's and it's what you said. Man,
(47:41):
It's like, dude, it's the fourth of July. We're all
coming together. It's red, white and blue. I know that
we have a we're a nation of differences at this
point in time. But bottom line, in that moment, you
look around, you're like, man, this is pretty damn cool.
This is what it's all about. Love thy neighbor and man,
fourth of July, I love it.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
It's it's when I'm sitting there fire their works are overhead,
Proud to be an American is bumping on the steiker
and you have an alcoholic beverage in hand, and you're
telling me you're not in a good mood, Like, I
just don't believe you. At the end of the day,
you know, I don't believe you.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
Oh, I love it. Great stuff there.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
Hit us up at Fox PHL gamb We'll get involved
with the chat here on YouTube.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
Of course.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
I'll think socials as well. Matt Jericho of course, and
I having some fun Fourth to July barbecue. What are
you bringing in activities, the games, the food, the booze.
We want to hear it all Fourth to July Barbecue.
And of course we're always looking for the new ideas.
Like I said, nobody's bringing the bubble machine, but Sean
is I'm bringing the bubbles.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
Damn it.
Speaker 4 (48:37):
I know that's gonna get clipped. You don't have to
reinvent the wheel now. If you're bringing some spicing, I
definitely am curious to hear what it is.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
I love it all right, five o'clock hour. On the
other side, we're gonna stick around for a little bit.
We'll talk a little bit about the Phillies. Game two
coming up here. Of course, they went down in Game
one six to four. Christopher Sanchez here he comes to
save the day and to get that series victory against
the San Diego Padres. Break that game down a little
bit more. Get you caught up with everything that's happening
in the sports world. Oh by the way, at five
