Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you get a wager on it, We're talking about it.
It's the Gambler, the Fox Sports Radio, The Gambler. Fox
Sports Radio in Philly is the Gambler. The Gambler, Philly's
home for all things sports gambling. Bourbon Street has officially

(00:20):
turned Midnight Green.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
How about our quarterback?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I knew he was gonna play that way.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I knew it. Don't doubt him. All he does is.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Win all things Big Game fifty nine right here on
the Gambler.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Day.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Take it with you here, John Jansen joining the party
without John, Yeah, I know you're heading out to chickens
and pizza Marlton to hold it down on the All
Pro Philly Show, six pm set, Joiner, Joe Coln coming
your way, get on out there and support the gang.
Of course, it is Super Bowl week finally here Jansen,

(00:54):
and we're at the moment where it's like we kind
of hit on a lot of it last week. We
do have some slight movement and a lot of these props,
but at the end of the day, not much is
going to happen until we get a little closer towards
the weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
But where we're at, right.

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Here, right now has anything changed for you, Has anything
caught your attention as far as the topics that are
out there being discussed, one that was being pitched our
way was well to number one with the Kellen Moore
issue and what's happening with the New Orleans Saints and
he's going to take that job? Will he have to
revisit that one now, because I think that kind of
changes things for him slightly, not.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Too concerned about it.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
He's I think he's got his big boy pants on.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
He can do it. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Well, look, it's just I think you're right and always
saying that it's just terrible. Any coach has to be
in this position where they're not only playing or coaching
in the biggest game of their life, but also trying
to get the biggest job offer they can like it's
a life changing job offer. So yeah, it sucks, But again,
Kellen Moore's a big boy, he can handle both.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, I'm right there with you on that one.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
And the other one that was being tossed around is
that Beef was asking if this.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Is the the biggest would this be the greatest victory
in Philadelphia sports history, the greatest victory in what way?

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Yeah, Brian's checking is there has to be a distinction
between greatest and most important this.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Day are also there does have to be an distinction
and distinction there because I think the greatest will always
be a backup quarterback led a Super Bowl team to
beat Tom Brady and in the New England Patriots. That
is that's the greatest. It's one of the greatest underdog
stories of all time. It's one of the greatest. It's
one of the greatest steps hard the top. That one's
so hard to be.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
However, though, the history that could be made on Super
Bowl Sunday, if the Chiefs were to win three in
a row, that's significant. Of course, it's never happened before.
This would be the third time that Mahomes wouldin an
MVP three straight in a row. It's never happened. So
if you could dethrone the Chiefs and slay that almighty

(02:57):
dragon that is Andy Reid in the Big Red Machine,
then you know, I think this could raise it up
a little bit, and the it definitely does.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
But again, Nick Foles won a Super Bowl as the
starting quarterback. That's a wild one.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Tough to beat.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
All Right, We're still holding steady at a point and
a half Chiefs favorite forty eight and a half is
our total here.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Nothing has changed for you? Still feeling confident about the Birds?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, I still feeling very confident.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Now.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I won't go confident to say I'm seeing some people
put up like alt spreads like six and a half
for the Eagles and Eagles a gonna win bak. I'm
not doing that, Like one step at a time. A
team's gotta beat Kansas City, and I think the Eagles
do it. But I will take as many points as
I if I'm getting points or if I'm getting plus money,
I will take as much as I can with the
points because I do not want to lose that bet

(03:47):
because I know it's going to be a close game
and I'm operating under this will be close. Also, though,
I think the Eagles are a better team and I
think they're suited well to face Kansas City. So I
like the Eagles the only other thing, the only thing
I'm kind of and you go on this, I do
think this could be more of a passing game instead
of looking at Taquon Barkley props that are obviously going
to be like through the roof, They're gonna be the
highest they've ever been. You have to pay such a

(04:08):
premium price to get Seaquon Barkley props. I think I'm
all on Jalen Hurts passing props, like passing attempts, passing yards,
maybe even I know anytime touchdown helps out with him
because of running, but maybe we go over his passing
touchdown total as well. I think I'm all in on. Yes,
I get Tequon Barkley, but you're gonna have to have
in a tight game, your quarterback makes some big plays.

(04:31):
So I think the passing game is gonna be a
big part of it.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
Two hundred plus for Jalen Hurts currently on draft keds Sports.
But it's it minus one fifty one. Now you get
to two twenty five, you get in a plus money
plus one twenty four.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
There you go. I'll take that to fifty plus two
thirty five.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I say Jalen gets around two fifty two to sixty.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Now, what did he throw? He threw for a bunch
in the fifty seven.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, I think he threw. He threw well over two hundred.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Yeah, he's for three hundred three hundred because that it
was like the only time that that's ever happened against
the Chiefs. I believe if I'm not mistaken something along
those lines, because I remember it. But it didn't count
because it happened in the Super Bowl, So regular season,
the Chiefs haven't given.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Up like a three hundred yard passer in forever.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
And then I remember because I put in a Gambler
gang chat and then Beef was like, didn't Hurts throw
for three hundred And that was the caveat. It was
hold up. It happened in the Super Bowl. Yeah, it
was twenty seven to thirty eight three ZHO four. I
could very well see a repeat performance of Jail Hurts.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I could very well see that three.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Hundred yards passing fifteen carries for seventy yards.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Three.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
He is putting this game on his back. It's his time, man.
He is out there to prove all the doubters wrong.
He is ready for this moment, and he knows what's
at stake for his legacy. With the one super Bowl victory,
it changes the conversation completely completely. You can no longer
say the dumb things that people have been saying. If

(05:59):
Jalen Hurts is it, which is a shame, but it's
the reality. It's the reality of where we're at. Dan
Marino doesn't have a super Bowl blah blah blah blah.
Got it, you win a super Bowl championship. No longer
are you in those conversations. The dumb statements stop, point blank.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
So what's done? So I think, like, Jalen's good, obviously,
like we've already been through this. Jalen's great, he's good.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I'm still not putting him like again, it's a team thing,
like the passing game works because Jalen's good, but also
also he's great.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Yeah, you keep forgetting the great. I know he's gonna
say he's good, he's great. The problem is.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
The totality of the position he plays.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
John that's great, there are there are multiple people significantly
better than him, But there are also flaws to his
game that I think get hidden because of how good
Eagles are and they're a great team, and that's what
you want.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
You want.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
You want your quarterback to be in a comfortable spot.
You want your quarterback to be in a good position
with great talented players. I get all that, but it
takes a lot more to get Jalen Hurts to that spot.
Then I would say some other guys like a Joe
Burrow or Lamar Jackson, a Joe Burrow.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Who's Mahomes, who doesn't have a championship, doesn't have a
Super Bowl ring.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Okay, understood.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Again, when you talk about if you're talking about a player,
a quarterback that has to throw the football, and you
want to talk about passing specifically, yeah, I won't involve
Jail Hurts in a lot of those conversations. That's fine,
that's fine, we could look at that in a different light.
But when it comes to winning the Super Bowl, and
if he is out there running for fifteen times in

(07:30):
seventy yards and oh by the way, three touchdowns, finds
the end zone.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
That's all part of the package. That's all part of
the package that raises him up.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
So when we talk about, like if he gives you
that type of play on Super Bowl Sunday and they win,
when we start ranking performances in Super Bowl history from.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Quarterbacks, Jail Hurts is going to be up there. Statistically speaking,
he will be up there.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Because he's nobody's been able to run the football like
that in Super Bowl and score in touchdowns and oh,
by the way, throwing for over three hundred yards twenty
seven to thirty eight.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
No iron T's.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Come on, man, But you also got to look at
the totality of like regular season and playoffs, and yeah,
like jallenge good again, none of this is like Jaylen's bad.
It's just a yeah, I have a tough time when
it just gets too far, and I think some a
super Bowl will make it too far. If he loses
super Bowl, the conversation is probably gonna go too far
the other way of like he's not good enough. He's
good enough, and this equals team is great and good enough.

(08:31):
But yeah, I don't know. I'm in the middle of
a lot of this where I don't think Jalen Hurts
is like some elite amazing quarterback. But I do think
he's great. He's got some really great trades, all right,
and he's a great player, so I do like him.
You can you can win with a top ten quarterback
like that.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Your time to shine, Jalen, sure, time to shine. That
guy on the other side is pretty.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Damn good as well. We know that with Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
But oh yeah, that guy's on a different he's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
He's pretty pretty good. You're right about that, all right.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
The only thing that I would say that I have
my attention on, of course, is the injury factor. We
won't know anything significant until we get a little bit closer.
It's Wednesday Thursday when I will start to really look
at the injury report.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
And I know gain Well was on there.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
Will Shipley at the Philadelphia Wings game on Saturday. Shop
it up with Will Good dude, really good dude. His
fiance from Charlotte. I think he's from Charlotte. Yes, yes,
so they met in high school.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, we heard the entire story.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Okay, did I didn't hear that on the A'll.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Pro Philly shows on what a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yes, he was Weddington, North Carolina.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Where is that I think it's near I think it's
the Western.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Yeah, it's right below Charlotte. So yes, and met her
and and so I asked her. So he was off.
Everyone's bothering me. He's he's signing, he's taking pictures with babies.
There's cap I've got a video out there Will Shipley
holding a baby. It's ridiculous. The city is absolutely ridiculous

(10:06):
when it comes to the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
They just are the.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Fooating the Wings game shut down when they put Shipley
on the jumbo tron. Now, if you don't know what
the hell's going on, Shipley played lacrosse, I guess in
high school. Wings found some videos, like a big time
of cruise. Yeah, Wings found some videos. Put it out there.
Couldn't believe my man was of course, he's a great athlete.
You saw him score a touchdown in an NFC championship game.
The way he did when he broke it, he's incredible.

(10:30):
So next thing you know, they put him on there
and the place goes berserk, like this is Jalen hurts
up there. I'm not lying to you. The pop would
have been the same, John, I'm not I'm not kidding.
So everyone breaks into the Eagles stamp boom. He comes
down third quarter. He hung out for the whole game,
didn't have to comes down third quarter. Sits next to

(10:51):
me with his lovely lady and I and I'm just like, dude.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
How crazy is that?

Speaker 5 (10:55):
He's like, yeah, this city's nuts when it comes to
see I bet I bet it. So then I asked
he was going to sign some modogress whatever. And I
asked her, and I'm like, all right, what do you
think what you're doing? And you know, I'm paraphrasing here,
but she was. She was very adamant that she wants
to beat the chiefs. She's like, nice, let's uh, let's
let's get that time. Yeah, let's get that done. There

(11:16):
was a few words in there that were mixed in,
and I'm like, yeah, she is an awesome lady to
have in your corner. He's got himself a damn good girl.
Because I'll tell you what you know, when you're down
in professional sports, you screw up, you make a bad play,
you come home, you need someone to build you back up.
There's no doubt in my mind she's saying the right things.

(11:37):
That girl was awesome. So and they're getting married in June.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Very nice girl, Aiden, Aiden, what's her name? That's what? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:43):
I thinks that's all right? All right, good stuff there.
Once again, we got Cayl Fisher. He's gonna join me
coming up at four thirty. Janson is going out to
Chicken's and Peace in Marlton one more time for the
All Pro Philly Show. We're gonna have Set Joiner joining
Jerald Colton. Also, Jarry Evans is gonna be joining the
show as well. Via all from Normans Charlie joh Ree's hosting. Ah,

(12:03):
I saw a Super Bowl party down there in Orleans
and might have some news as far as the Hall
of Famous concern. I hope so. I would hope so too.
It's so tough, but I do have a bet on
Eli Manning, So I need.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Come on, get out Eli stuff.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
I need Eli to get in first first ballot. No, yeah,
it's gonna be expensive, dude, this is a capitol grill bill.
I this is a five plus year wage.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
But also this would mean Mike Diaz has to win
a bet. And I don't know if I.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, that's the thing, Like we don't want I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
I don't think I can't.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
She sent me some article the other day. I'm like, dude, like,
come on, man, like what are we doing here? Like, yeah,
I get it, but we'll see how it plays out.
I am. I'm in the middle. I was definitely feeling
a little bit more gung ho that Eli Manner was
a first ballot Hall of Famer, specifically because of politics.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
The last name people fighting on your behalf.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
The tough thing is when you do because how long
ago did you place that?

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Well, it was before he retired before.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
He retired, So I guess always the hardest part is
what is his class going to be like?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Correct?

Speaker 3 (13:08):
And if it was a little bit of a weaker class,
maybe it's not though they were heavy hitters, that this
is their first year that they're EGI.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Come out man. So that's tarn backs to the most
important position. He's got two rings.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
He's a pretty good quarterback, played forever, all only in
the Giant's uniform. Like, the politics have to come into
play here, right, politics run everything? Can I just get one?
Can I just get one right here? Anything else? Sounded
like somebody's a little desperate. You're you're kind of you're
kind of thinking maybe you're not going to get it.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
I don't think he gets in first.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Okay, I changed to say, yeah, you you don't sound
confident there at all.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
This is my first time ever admitting this that I
don't think I'm going to win that wager. I'm a
little concerned. It's a tough class. I think you know.
That article he didn't did send me had a couple
of people saying, like, as a Hall of Famer, but
he can wait his turn, his turn, And I'm just like, damn, dude.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
And like, really, you mean to tell me Peyton and
Arching and picking up the phone.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
You're telling me Arching picking up the phone the old man.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Yeah, but like really, I think that's hurts his case
though for his brother, because his brother's like a bona fide,
no doubt, first ballot. But Howard voters going to think, like, man,
Peyton was first ballot, why would Eli be first BALLTI
super bowls? He LII's not Peyton two super bowls. He's

(14:36):
not paying Eli's No one's saying he's not even close to.
But Peyton is a is a perfect example, and it's
right there in their faces. Peyton's the perfect example of
a first ballot Hall of Famer. And then you got
to compare that, like, Okay, well is this guy first
ballot Hall of Famer? No that they're not the same thing.
They're on different they're on different playing levels.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
That capitol grille bill is going to be three plus
will easily three plus.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Me and a guy sitting across from each other when
he's just what.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Do you guys even talk about?

Speaker 5 (15:06):
He's gonna have such a fat smile on his face,
I know, eating his steak.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Are you even gonna talk to him, are you gonna
try and make that like the quickest dinner, like just
get in and get out possible.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
I'm gonna have like a order of French fries while
he's eating steak and potatoes and sparagrits, bottle of wine. Yeah,
it's gonna be like you know the old school time
with you know the Stone Age where you got like
those barbarian people like ah.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
That's like that. The visual on advied he's just picking
up the piece of.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah, he's gonna definitely eat that with a bit of
his ass, and there's there's not gonna be He's not
just gonna cut into that steak.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Damn it.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
He's gonna he's gonna make that a show. A Uh,
you gotta get out of here and guess what, You're
gonna have a front seat, front row seat to that show.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Is correct? That is correct. You gotta get out of here.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
We're gonna do funk it.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Up over here on a daily ticket. Coming up four thirty,
Kyle Fisher is gonna join me. We'll talk more about
the super Bowl. We'll get his thoughts. I didn't even
ask you, Luka Doncia's trade what like it's.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
The funniest thing I've ever seen. It's actimate, Like, yes,
it's dumb and it's fun, it's legitimately funny. This guy
there was a trade was so bad that the report,
the reporter who reported it had to make sure everybody knew, yes,
this is real, like this is happening, Yeah, this isn't
this isn't a joke. Banana, it's happening. Yep, that's crazy.

(16:33):
How do you how do you have to feel being
that person knowing that, like the guy couldn't even report
that news without making sure everybody knew that this is
actually real and not a joke.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Nico Harrison, come on down, all eyes are on him.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
That's did even like Cubanuugh the Cuban Duck.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Cuban chexted, who knows the white player that does the
show with Lou Williams and Beatle it's our FanDuel of
former former MAVs player.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
I'll have to look it up.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
Steve Nash No, and he he tweeted, or he said
he texted Cuban and Cuban he texted Cuban, I'm confused
at what's going on, and Cuban wrote back, I'm just
as confused so.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
How do you make that kind of trade without the
owner's approval?

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Well, I think Cuban is not involved like that anymore.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
How do you make that trade with your investment? That's
that's an investment from Mark Cuban and that's his biggest
one in Luka Doncic.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
He's not involved in that anymore. He sold it off.
He's still involved, but that's.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
I get I get it, but somebody's got to be
That is the That is a huge Dallas Mavericks investment,
Luka Doncic, and this guy just traded him in like
the middle of the night out of nowhere. That's crazy
to me, Like if the Eagle, if if Kansas City
ever thought about doing that with like Patrick Mahomes or
Buffalo with Josh Allen. Do you know how many people

(17:55):
would have to get the okay from before making that trade.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Chandler Parsons apparently, thank you, that's who it is. Chandler
Parsons is right, yeah, quite yeah, former math I didn't
know that. Em and cubes go back fishing buddies, fishing buddies.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Okay, yeah, why did I not?

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Okay, all right, daily take a rolling out again. Cole
Fisher go join me for thirty Sam Austrey coming up.
We're gonna be live at six pm.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
We keep the party going all through the night. Be
sure to follow us at Fox pH O. Gambled more
for this.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Spreads totals and all the prop that's in between. It's
