Speaker 1 (00:03):
On a Daily Ticket, Daily Ticket on Fox Sports Radio
the Gamblers. Let's go Football is in the air, Sam Austri.
I mean you know, it's seventy degrees outside, the wind
was blowing. Today is a football weather day. And now

(00:26):
it's not gonna be like that for the next six
seven days exactly.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yeah, let's get back to the heat. Come on, man,
this summer stay with me. Don't go away just yet.
But it is exciting Week zero here. We've been talking
about this weekend, the five matchups with our next guest.
For the past couple of weeks, everything has been podcasts.
As a matter of fact, I've been running a few
of his answers over the last week or so, breaking
down farm again and in a little bit more uh

(00:50):
in the Hawaii game as well, which Juliana has had
a play on for quite some time. We'll find out
if he's added anything. And of course we're all excited
to Julian on the Daily Tick in his regular spot
Thursday at three thirty throughout the course of football season.
But here's the deal, folks. If you're looking for a
little more Julian Edlow in your life, and at the
end of the day, who isn't come on now. He's

(01:12):
got a brand new daily podcast that you can get
wherever you get your podcasts at. He teamed up, of
course with his friends his employer over there Draftkickings Sports Book,
and he is presenting DK in Daily Bets. It's real
simple and easy to find wherever you get your podcasts at.
You're gonna get great guests breaking down all of the

(01:32):
day's topics and of course a focus on all things
sports gambling with the spreads and of course giving you
the edges you need a great conversation with the legendary
Phil Steele. I caught that episode. Julian Edlow joins us
right now in the Gambler Hotline. Julian, how are we
doing today?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Man, We're doing great.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Not much I can add to that. I appreciate the
plug DKA and Daily Bets. We're four episodes in. We
had Phil Steel this week that went.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Over very well.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
We had Johnnyavello on today to talk a little look
behind the book on college football. We got Doug Kazarian
coming on tomorrow. So it's been a pretty solid first week.
All places you can find podcasts Spotify, Apple, wherever can
I tweet them out every day.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
All right, are you buying Phil Steele's love for Oklahoma?

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I am, because I thought six and a half was
really short on them.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It was juicy.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I bet it at like minus one seventy. Now I
think we're in the two hundred range and it's or
it's seven and a half with plus money to be over.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
It's one of those teams that's in.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Like the Florida situation of they're gonna be a lot better,
but they have such a hard schedule. And they do
have a hard schedule, but I think some of these
swing games, like they go to Tennessee, I'm down on Tennessee.
I think Oklahoma should get that game, huge one out
of the gates. I'll say in week two, the week
two Saturday night game, I'm gonna be all about Oklahoma

(02:57):
hosts Michigan.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Michigan is nobody week one. Then you're gonna go on.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
The road with a freshman quarterback with everything surrounding that program.
I don't think they they improved, but Michigan's not back
back like they were pretty bad last year ended with
momentum in the Ohio State and Alabama win. But I'm
not buying Michigan being all the way back and you
got a freshman quarterback going on the road to Oklahoma
on a Saturday night they host Auburn. Like, there's some

(03:23):
swing games that I think. I'm excited to bet Oklahoma
in Oklahoma's minus one thirty five money line versus Michigan
Week two. I'm ready to bet that John Mattier made
some questionable Venmo transactions, but that is being looked into
as long as.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That stays stays clean. I like Oklahoma quite a bit.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
This yees yeah, who doesn't have their Venmo transactions private?
That's always very suspect.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
But I felt like, of course I'm always labeling.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
I'm always labeling my Venmo transactions sports gambling.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah, yeah, I always.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I believe I believe him more because he did that,
Like that's something you do with your friends when you're like,
someone buys you food and then you label like drugs
or something.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Kind of I don't think I see. I'm giving the
benefit of doubt because I don't think anybody in the
world is that stupid.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
And maybe I'm just naive by saying that, but I
don't think anybody's that stupid. Where if you're really sports gambling,
young sports gaming.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
When I was young, I was very dumb. But that
dumb though. Yeah, And I think the one was around
like a kickoff though. That was intriguing from the timing perspective.
But all in all, they did their due diligence and
they say there's nothing there, correct, Julian, So there's nothing there?
Am I right on that one?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Is that done? Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
It's not done?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
He you know, he emphatically declines any wrongdoing.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
The NCAA is gonna have to prove wrongdoing.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I'm gonna I'm gonna stay on Oklahoma until I hear otherwise.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Put it that way.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
If John Mattier is suspended or something, no need to
come ask me what you should do.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I'll be buying off.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Quickly understood, understood. Any other gyms from that episode or
any of your episodes this week that you cared to
share with our listening audience right now in the world
of college football, whether it's Week zero, Week one, futures,
anything else a gym that you'd like to share with us.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, I'll stick both with Phil Steel first for Week zero,
you know, he I asked him, do you like anything
week zero? And he said, I kind of like Kansas
and that game has come down. Fresno has been taking
the money on DK come down from fourteen to twelve
and a half. And in talking to a lot of people,
a lot of other trusted betters, their power rankings have

(05:42):
this game.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Sixteen or so.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
So if I bet something that is not Hawaii, and
I've come on week after week and said I'm on
Hawaii week zero, that is my That is bet number
one for me that I will be rooting for on
week zero. But I think I'm coming around on making
a smaller play, not even fully unit alfy unit or
whatever on on Kansas lay in the twelve and a
half at home against Fresno. Jalen Daniels has been good

(06:09):
when healthy.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
He was just hurt last year, and I liked the
coach for.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Kansas, Leopold, So I think Kansas at twelve and a
half is worth to play. And then I think, you know,
this is just judging off Phil because Phil's you know,
a notable, very notable name in the industry. I don't
want to pin him down and like you pin me
down and say give me your best bet, bed Low.
I'm not gonna pin Phil Steel down and be like

(06:33):
are you betting this, what's your best bet? Like, I
don't do that to him, So I just kind of
gauge off of his responses of like what he seems
strongest on.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
And what caught me is when we.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Went over West Virginia at the who he has dead
last in the Big Twelve. The Big Twelve is gonna
be Mayhem this year. That's not a conference I'm betting
a winner in because I think it could be so
many teams. But when I mentioned to him that the
West Virginia win total was five and a half, he
was like, really five and a half, they have to
win six games on that schedule. So that seemed to
be the thing that jumped out the most in our conversation,

(07:05):
where he.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
You know, a light went off in his head.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
There and he was pretty surprised by the price minus
one forty I think it is on under five and
a half for West Virginia. He seemed to feel pretty
confident that West Virginia is not going to win six
or more games. So that's the one the main takeaway
that I took from him, or not main takeaway, because
he said a lot of good things. So the one,
the one, you know, bet that I took away from

(07:31):
him where he seemed extremely interested would be the West
Virginia over under five.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
And a half wins.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Tell you, well, you have a college football here of course,
front and center for us starting on Saturday afternoon. It's
a great listen thirty two minutes long, go ahead and
press play. You can give Julian a follow on all
things socials. Julian l lowed LW's where you could find it,
and it's a daily podcast, so make it a part
of your daily commute. With that being said, let's stay
in the world of college football. In that opener and

(07:58):
just a jab at Pharmageddon. What are you thinking here?
What are you hearing? What are you reading? Is there
anything making you want to play this at all? It's
the first game of the college football season. Enjoying and
you're like, I'm waiting for Hawaii and Stanford.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Really, I'm so responsible.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
I'm being as responsible as I can.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Good for you.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
And then you know that game is gonna kick off,
I'm gonna be sitting on my hands, were a cold
sweat dripping down my forehead, like I have no bet
on it right now. And when it got to four,
Iowa State catching four. You know, I saw some people
start to take it. I was like, maybe I'll look
into Iowa State plus four.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
I look up, it's three. I'm like, oh, all right.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Then I got all these people telling me they're like,
Kay State minus three. I've heard a lot of opinions
on this game. I I wouldn't say I'm as polished
on all these teams atop the Big Twelve because I
think the league is so open. I don't I don't
know as much about these teams. I think it could
go so many different ways. So my plan at the

(09:01):
moment is to fit the opener off be.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
On the sidelines.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Maybe there'll be a live play that I like or something.
But I don't have much of an opinion in that
game or on those two teams this season. If you
make me pick the Big twelve, you know a team
I've been a fan of over the years is Utah.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I like Kyle Whittingham.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
I think the defense is going to be nasty, the
offensive line is going to be as good as it gets.
And they didn't have an offense last year, and now
they fill the skilled positions out, bring a quarterback in,
and Derek Dampierre and his offensive coordinator from New.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Mexico, like they should be much improved.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
So Utah is a team I'm high on in the
Big twelve, but I got nothing in that first game.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yeah, apparently there's some decent names on the inactive list
that came out yesterday and I've been ruled out. The
tight end for Kansas State and an edge rusher, our
own Ryan Beef Coyles dialed in his own roommates, a
diehard Iowa State fit, so they've been going back and forth.
So he had a take on it, so it's interesting.
He's gonna be coming up a little bit later. But
just for the people out there, the tight end, Lincoln Cure,

(10:03):
he was the number one tighten this past year according
to a lot of recruiting services. He has been ruled out.
Actually the first five star recruit in Case State history.
He was supposed to be a major target yeah, or
for Avery from day one, and according to Andy Staples
yesterday with the initial report, it seems like he is
officially out. So that is definitely something intriguing there. But

(10:26):
this is a three point spread. I could see it
going either way. Gotta have some action, gotta have some play.
I think I'm taking a favorite, gonna roll with Kansas
State in this one, but really excited because football is here.
It's in the air right now, Julian, And if you
would not mind, we've been talking a lot of college
with you over the weeks. Let's go ahead and get
on over to the pros though the NFL. I want
to get your thoughts as far as the division is concerned.

(10:47):
But you know where I'm going with Week one. Everybody
right now starting to get a little nervous because it's
survivor pool time. Now is the time that you got
to find that one. And we've seen some, especially in
your backyard last year with Cincinnati going up to New
England and everybody was on Cincinnati. Hell, there was a
lot of upsets at the beginning of last year, if

(11:08):
I'm not mistaken, there were a lot. You know, Survivor
Pool was going to be figured out, and like before Thanksgiving,
the joke was. But with that being said, are there
any money line plays coming in that you think probably
should avoid the potential upset for Week one in the NFL?
And specifically, you know where I'm going. Eagles and Cowboys

(11:30):
seven points spread, open up survivorpool play. Would you give
that a thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I don't love that game for a couple of reasons.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I don't love going to the Thursday night game, and
I don't love I mean, the Thursday night game Week
one is the champion So I don't love the you know,
the potential for the hangover game raising the banner like
Championship night.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
We know that angle.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
I don't like the divisional game Week one aspect of it.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
You know, you can't be.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
More down on the Cowboys than right now, but now,
you know, now is when they're their healthiest, Like they
got their guys back for the most part. So yeah,
that's just for a couple of reasons, is one that
I would stay away with and sticking with the divisional team.
I think like another popular one will probably be Washington
over the Giants. The Giants are down from seven point

(12:26):
dogs to six point dogs. They you know McLaurin hasn't
been in camp. They're talking about Trad and Brian Robinson Junior.
I like, I love Jayden Daniels. Actually I think he's great.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
But like we saw the sophomore slump with c J.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Stroud, just the bodies he's gonna be missing in terms
of skill position players I think could matter. And the
Giants have a really good defensive line. They might stink,
but they have a really good defensive line. That one
scares me as well. Week one, uh so, and then

(13:04):
the you know divisional game Cincinnati. We know Cincinnati starts
slow every time. Everybody's gonna remember that from last year
they play at the Browns. You're Gonnazig when everyone's eggs,
I bet everyone's gonna be avoiding the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
So do you want to play the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Because they might be a lower ownership big favorite in
Week one?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
The biggest spread on the board is Denver over Tennessee, right,
and I think that's the one I like the most,
with a rookie quarterback making the Week one start for
a bad team in Denver.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
But that's where.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Maybe that's the obvious one. Maybe that'll be the most
heavily owned one, But that's where I'm looking.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Here's where here's where i'ma and Julian Steelers Jets. Of course,
lower revenge spot for Aaron Rodgers and Steelers. I don't
know how much you're gonna trust them later in the season,
playing in maybe the best divisional.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Super revenge spot for the Jets playing Aaron run.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Yes, yes, that's true, but new coach, even though Aaron
Rodgers had an infamous meeting. Yeah, I guess that's true.
But would you take the Steelers there, because that's what
I've denying.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
I don't know if I'm gonna go there in Survivor.
I do like Pittsburgh week one.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I lean that way.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Tomlin should just be able to keep everything together with
Rogers a little bit more. They have some decent pieces
in place, and I'm not too high on the Jets
this season, so I lean to the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
I don't know if I It.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Depends on the It depends on the Survivor pool, how
big it is, what your strategy is, any entries you have,
all that, So not to say you shouldn't use Pittsburgh
if you're if you got multiple in there, but a
little dicey for me week one, but Dicey's dicey works
dicey the last couple of years.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
You know you're right about that. We're talking to Julian
Edlo from DraftKings Sports. But of course, getting our Survivor
pool plays going here, and there's been a lot of
thoughts and you know, interesting spreads too. You look at
somebody these division matchups. A lot of teams are opening
up in division, so that's something that I always try
to avoid. But one of those games that I'm curious
to get your thoughts on his Monday Night football. I

(15:07):
was not buying into anything Chicago Bears last year. Obviously
there's a big difference this year. I do think Ben
Jonson is the real deal, and I don't know who doesn't.
I don't know if that's you know, hot take. I
have no idea, but I was really fascinated with what
he was able to do with Detroit as far as
offense is concerned. Is the dynamics he brought in the

(15:28):
play calling of obviously getting people open, and they had
a lot of playmakers. But I think the Chicago Bears
have a pretty good roster as well, especially on the
offensive side. So I look at that spot with JJ
McCarthy and everything. He's gonna have to deal with Jordan
Asen being out, so there's rumors that the Vikings are
looking to trade for a receiver right now. Of course,
JJ had a bum hamstring. He'll be fine, but I

(15:51):
think it's going to be a difficult spot for the
Vikings to go into Chicago and win. It's a point
half spread on Draftings Sports, but forty three and a
half First Monday Night Football kick Julian any leans any
action coming into DraftKings, it's making you sway one way
or the other. Are making you think twice about this game.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
I liked Minnesota getting the one and a half at
open and now they are favored by one and a half.
I actually put them in a teaser with Denver to
essentially win the game and get Minnesota up to plus
seven and a half. The sharpest play looking at the splits,
I mean, the move on the side is somewhat telling.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
The sharper play looking at the splits.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
I know we're talking about the offenses in this one,
but you know Caleb Williams shredded up Buffalo second unit
in that primetime game. What's it going to look like
doing the real thing. I believe in Ben Johnson. I
just think it might take some time, and then Minnesota
I believe in even more so. I like the Vikings

(16:52):
a lot this year. I bet them over eight and
a half wins. I think that Kevin O'Connell can turn
JJ McCarthy into If you can do that, darnold, you
can do it with a lot of guys, in my opinion,
and I think he'll make JJ McCarthy look good. They
have a good offensive line, they have two good running backs,
they have receivers even though they're a little thin early,
and I really like the defense. So fifty seven percent

(17:15):
of the tickets for eighty six percent of the handle
are on the.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Under in that game. That's where the money is.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Coming in for these offenses to maybe be a little
slow out of the gates. But I do like Minnesota
in the game. I'll be on Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
I tease them up.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
I don't know if I'll just play them on the
money line at this point, but that'll be, you know,
my recommendation for the game. At this point, since you
can no longer tease Minnesota, the favorite would be playing
the Vikings.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
All right.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Well, I hate when we disagree, but we're going to
do that from time to time when we talk about
these games start the course of the season. That's all
good there. We'll see what happens. Of course, we've got
a long way to go. College football front and center
for us can't wait to kick things off on Saturday,
and then of course next week next Thursday, we got
some pretty good games we'll have you on of course
the Air setting us up, and then East Carolina and

(18:04):
NC State, which is a game that's you know, big
in my household. Looking forward to watching that one. But
of course, and I think our first kickoff on next
Thursday is like five thirty. We got a five thirty kickoffs.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, Boise, Boise and USF at five thirty.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
We're doing a little pregame action for Boise and USF. Julian,
I mean you right here. With that being said, though,
I want to get you out of here on this
one because we're having some fun. Of course, what's taking
place in Philadelphia as far as the Phillies are concerned. Now,
I know our guy Stevie Stevie Bukes is the baseball guy,
but you know you're a guy that dabbles on what's

(18:37):
happening in the sports world from time to time. So
I wanted to throw you this hypothetical question. And I'm
curious because you can give us a really good foundational
answer judging off of everything that you know from dealing
with this stuff for the sportsbook. The odds and so
on and so forth. But right now the NL MVP race,
A lot of people here in Philadelphia, a lot of

(18:57):
sportscasters that aren't dialed into this stuff, continue to fire
and pump up the fact that Kyle Schwerber is in
the running for the Nation League MVP. Now full disclosure, Julian,
there was a time back in May that I was
belly up to a bar. Yeah, shocker there, and I'm
texting with the Gambler Gang, and I said, damn it,
I'm doing it. Kyle Schwarber National League MVP. It was

(19:20):
forty four to one. I said, sure, show Hey just
renamed the award after him. Whatever. But in my mind
I said something along the lines of, if this Phillies
team has the best record in the National League and
Schwerber leads the league in home runs, I think he's
got a legit shot. So I thought forty four to
one was a pretty good payday, right, So why not

(19:40):
let's go Oh, by the way, what injuries do in May?

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Whatever?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
So here we are now, on August to twenty fourth.
Kyle Schwerber goes yard again. It feels like show Hey
is going yard as much as Schwarber is he's got
forty five home runs? He is still like show hey
is minus six thousand.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Home runs? Does Atani have by the way.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
I should know that, you know. I'm sorry, I'm pull
it right up right now. The home run? Does he
have forty four? I think he's got forty four. So
Schwarber has him by one at despair mark. That is correct.
That is correct. So I'm wondering if you could paint
the picture for people that are non believers right now
that Schwerber has no chance of winning this award, what

(20:25):
would he have to do, in your mind to even
have a chance for this number to come down? Or
maybe it doesn't, but the voters are enamored with what
took place in Philadelphia and they want to give it
to Kyle Schwerber. What do you think he has to
do from now and to the end of the regular
season to even have a shot at winning the award?

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Well, I'll say this, speaking on awards overall, Yep, something
happened a couple of years ago that opened my eyes to.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Saying, hey, let's all open our minds on awards and
think about anything that can happen. And the award that
I'm speaking of is the chewing automatic winner that I
was grading myself for Tomorrow Hamlin Comeback Player of the Year. Yes,
and then Joe Flacco plays five games in his marching

(21:15):
up on stage to steal my money.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
And I'm like, if Joe Flacco can play five games
and when Comeback.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Player of the Year over a guy that died on.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
The field and then played the next year, then maybe
we should be more open minded that these things can
get voted in any which way.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
That's the weirdest award, Comeback Player of the Year, And.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yeah, that one is so much more.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
You know, MVP is a little more cut and dry,
especially in a baseball is such a numbers league. But
just the idea of that, I had to say, like,
all right, when I'm betting awards, I'm going to be
more open minded to like anything can happen, especially since
it's human voted. Ye, and maybe the voters what even
tell you they messed up the Tomorrow Hamblin Joe Flacco award,

(21:56):
I hope, Like, so, yeah, you can't bet on Otani.
Nobody's betting Otani minus six thousand. He was recently minus
twenty thousand correct, which means things are trending in your direction.
The Dodgers have been a letdown. Dodgers have let me down.

(22:16):
I played their win total over and now I really
need the Red Sox to get to eighty five wins,
so I don't go into and win totals. So you're
probably gonna need an Otani injury. But if you're telling
it like you now have a forty four to one
ticket on Otani, it could be something minor. You can

(22:38):
miss a couple of weeks and Schwarber hits five home
runs that week and like the Phillies finished with a
better record than the Dodgers. I do not answer your question.
I don't think it's impossible. I don't think if Schwarber
and Otani both play the rest of the way out
that that you're gonna win, unless Schward just goes.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Like, you know, all home run a day.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
But uh, you know, I don't think Otani would have
to like go down with a serious injury for the season.
I think he could we got what like six weeks
or less.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Of the season left. I think if he misses two.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Weeks two and a half weeks somehow, that that that
would be the boost you need to make it a
race that looks a lot more like Aaron Judge and
cal Raley.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Interesting, well, he how about this provide he ended up
getting hurt yesterday? Did show hal Tony get hurt yesterday?
Let's see here he got hit by a line driving
his right leg fourth inning. I didn't even see this,
all right, was expected to be fine. Yeah, he's fine.
He's not in the lineup today though they're playing right

(23:44):
now against Colorado. Yeah, bad job by me. But I
didn't even see that.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
I thought I did witness that game and didn't think ya,
he did. He was pulled early. I didn't see that injury.
But his worst start, Yes, he came back. And that's
the thing too, that's going up against some of the
things that I what because I said, look, if he's
gonna go out there and pitch, just renamed the award
after But he hasn't been good pitch now, so I
think it's working. I think that that might work against

(24:10):
him if he's not a good pitcher and they're not
getting wins the time he steps out in the mound.
But it feels like he's going yard as much as
Schwerber is. And if it's neck and neck they're gonna
give it to the old Tony. But you know, like
you said, the guy died on the field and didn't
win come back Good Player of the Year awards, So
anything is possible. It's a good pull by you, Julia.
I like where your mind.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Was at on that one night.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Anything is possible. Yeah, especially when it comes through the voters.
All right, hey man, great stuff. As always, We're pumped up.
College football gets going here on Saturday, Rainbow Warriors. We're
all fighting for Timmy Chang out there in the fiftieth State.
I'll be watching. I'll be on uh Hawaii with you
as well. Don't know if you want to hear that
or not, but we're rocking the minus two and a half.
Let's get a victory. We'll catch up next week, and

(24:52):
of course we got a big slate of games to
cover on next Thursday's episode. But for now we will
continue to listen to the podcast daily. Always a pleasure.
Good luck on your place, Julian. Will catch up next week.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Man, Gobo's looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Gobo's there. He is, nice work. Julian ed Low on
the Gambler Hotline. Yes, Timmy Chang, who is if not
the leader in passing yards in college football? Did he
have that? I think he might be number one on
that list, could be mistaken. He's definitely up there. I
know that much. He threw for a ton out there

(25:26):
with Hawaii. Anyways, he's the head coach and we're roll
with Hawaii. We'll talk a little bit more about that
game with Ryan beef Coyle other side though, back to Philadelphia. Hey,
maybe I'm eating my words here. Maybe Schwarber does have
a chance. I hope.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
I mean, if it was anybody else in the running,
he would win MVP other than show, you know.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Like you look at the NBA Awards with the MVP,
Like the joke was, Kobe could have won it every year, right,
he should have won it. Lebron Steve Nash had some
pretty damn good See, Kobe.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Should have won.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Zobe should not have one m v P. What Kobe
should not have one m VP in his career?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
He should not have won. No, he should not only
have one.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
All right?

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Sorry, it took me a second and I'm like, wait
what now?

Speaker 2 (26:11):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Yeah, And Steve Nash did put up some serious numbers,
and I know that's a big you know, focus for
a lot of people out there. But at the end
of the day, Kobe should have probably won it all
those years because he was the best player in the game.
And I don't think the showy fatigue is kicked in yet.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
He did with Lebron James in the mid two twenty tens,
where it's like he should be winning it every year.
He's on disputable well best player in basketball.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
I don't think that.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Fatigue is kicked in with Showy just yet. Maybe in
the next season or two, but not.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
You only get four or five of bats in a game.
That's why. That's the difference when Showy steps to the plate.
But Truver's doing the same thing. He's doing the same thing.
All right, we're late for a break. Natalie Ekonov's gonna
join his in studio. We'll get back to some Phillies.
We'll mixing some Eagles. She's out and about tonight with
Arreon Hatcher. Find out more on the other side back
of this. We don't just watch college football, We live it.

(26:57):
How did they stands there? Look at them?
