Speaker 1 (00:04):
Beautiful day in the Delaware Valley, and it's looking like
it's just as nice up north. Let's head up the
way up the coast. It's a Boston Greater Boston area
joining us right now, represent a squad from DraftKings Sports Book.
I believe he's home. Looks like he's out on that
beautiful back deck catching some sunshine, getting that vitamin D.

(00:26):
I believe it is right Julian Edlo joining us right now.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Julian, Yeah, it's front deck. Actually, you know, if we
have any issues.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Not at all. But actually let me cut you out
because we've done a hit before in the backyard and
it was windy as hell when you joined me that
one time.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, really windy neighborhood, particularly in the back. So I
did you guys a favor here. It came to the
front where there is more sun today. What have I've
been coming on the show?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
What? Six years? At least I can hop on from
my deck.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
You're damn right, man. We'll take you wherever we can
get you. That's all you're providing the great insight. May
meet them down the field, yeah one, or we can
just bring it to Vegas, as we've been trying to
make happen over the years. But hey, one day, exactly,
all right, Julian, we do have a lot to discuss
with you. I know I often throw it out there,

(01:18):
but it's the truth. Today is crazy. And of course,
the NBA playoffs have been awesome from start to where
we're at right now. We got three more games, We
got injuries that are going to have a huge impact
moving forward potentially, and we do have the NFL Draft
to break down. And something that we did jab at
last week about the Patriots and gent interests and so
on and so forth, the Patriots could be the key

(01:40):
to absolute anarchy in the first round. We will save
the NFL draft conversation because I want to dive right
into the numbers that matter to most and for everybody
out there. We can't wager on the NFL Draft, essentially
in Pennsylvania. I was going to bring it up with
Governor Shapiro yesterday, Humble Bragg. I did a hit with
not that far. I can make it. I can make

(02:04):
a trip over there across the bridge. You're right, but
it is what it is. I'm okay with wagering on
what I can here in PA until they make that change.
It would be nice, though, to wager on college props.
That's the only thing I really do, Miss, I wish
I could get down with college props.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Got that in Jersey too?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
You got that in Jersey? Yeah, well, you can't wager
on Rutgers in Jersey. How about that? I can do
that here? That is true? All right, let's talk about
the NBA playoffs. We did discuss Jimmy Butler and whether
or not. Look, if he can't go, you can get
the Warriors or right now the Rockets at plus one
point fifty on DraftKings Sportsbook. Julian, where are you at
when it comes to that conversation. Does Jimmy Butler need

(02:43):
to miss multiple games for you to get down with that?
What is your thoughts right now? With the with the
impact that that Butler injury could have on the series,
and of course what we saw last night in Game.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Two, Yeah, the Butler injury would have a huge impact
because we saw that rotation kind of come undone right away,
and part of that was Pozemski not being healthy as well,
and that was food poisoning. So he should be good
for the next game obviously, So you get a piece
back there. You're not quite as thin. But if Butler
misses time, that's big. I mean, you we see the

(03:16):
numbers they were. They were a coin flip team to
make the postseason without him, and they're like third fourth
favorites entering the postseason. To to win the West win
at all with it, that's a big piece. So I'm
not really budging from my pre series handicap here, which
was unfortunately to take Houston to win Game one in

(03:38):
the series at that big price. And of course they
you know, nineties style game. They shoot under forty percent
from the field, twenty from three, fifty five percent from
the free throw line. If they made their free throws,
they're in the game. But yeah, I liked him in
Game two, came back with him in Game two, and
like where we're at, I have the plus game and

(03:59):
a half, which I think is probably the best way.
Like you'll remember that Kings series with the Warriors a
couple of years ago where the Kings took him right
to the brink and then it came to a Game
seven on the road and the Warriors slaughtered him.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
So like, maybe these young Rockets lights get.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
A little too bright in the Game seven, but still
I think taking that game in a half, which is
a little juicier now with Houston, particularly with Butler's status
up in the air, this should probably be another split
in Golden State and definitely lean Houston's way in game three.
You want to go after that, probably probably earlier, whether

(04:34):
Butler's out or dinged up, because that was a pretty
good fall and he was not walking well to the
locker room.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah, anything from you boys on the game from Golden
State and Houston before we get over to the Nickson Pistons.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Yeah, No, I don't think we can take too much
from last night, Like it is truly down to if
Jimmy Butler comes back. It is a night and day
difference for what this Golden State team looks like. So
I think until we have more info on that, we
can move on.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
On the other side, what I said, Jonathan Kamena is
not the guy you want in a rotation. Steve Kerr
knows that while he was out of the rotation until
emergency situation occurred, and that's not the guy you won't
moving forward.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
So Jimmy's got to be Backfitt to be a series,
all right, Julian, Let's get on over to tonight's games
and we're split over here. These boys are going head
to head. I was believing somewhat in Detroit before the series,
but if you made me make a selection, there's no
way I was telling you that Detroit was going to
win that series two games in. No, the Knicks are

(05:26):
in trouble. I think the Knicks are in trouble. Where
do you stand in this conversation? I really do believe
that the Detroit Pistons are going to win this series.
It looked like they're more physical, they're more hungry, They're
playing looser, and right now New York is trying to
find some answers offensively, and I don't know if Tibbs
is the guy. I really don't. Could it be a

(05:46):
quick fix if they start spreading the game the ball around? Maybe,
But I'm willing to back the Pistons here. I know
that they're a slight dog. Tonight, let's talk about the
series itself. Where do you stand on that conversation, Julian?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Again, I mean when we last spoke pre series, I
thought this would be a series that Detroit would make
it a series ultimately picked to the Knicks, But the
minus four hundred or steeper was too much. So that's
what landed me on the over five and a half games,
which is in a good spot the split in New York.

(06:21):
At this point, I don't really have a series play.
I think the I think it's now more appropriately priced
with everybody realizing that Detroit can hang here. That said,
I think tonight is the Bilo spot on the Knicks.
I played Knick's money line tonight. You get embarrassed at home.
You really got outplayed for seven out of eight quarters. Yeah,

(06:43):
and you're in this You're split here because if it's
twenty one nothing run, if you don't get that run,
you're down to nothing after two games at MSG. I
think this is a game that the Knicks can come
alive a little bit. They've been a good road team,
Detroit has not been as great at home, particularly you know,
priced in this short favorite to short underdog range. I

(07:06):
think this is the game that you get the Knicks
best effort off the loss, that they make some adjustments,
that Detroit's kind of feeling themselves a little bit here,
not just coming off the wind, but saying, hey, we
could be up to nothing here. I think this is
a good spot for the Knicks to get one and
likely come back with the Distons in game four.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah, I did see some people say that this is
the spot as far as by Low is concerned on
the Knicks, and I would happen to agree with that
that thought process. But man, this Pistons team, and you know,
I don't know if you can count on Tobias Harris
being the guy who was in games one and two
as you move on to game three, I thought I
knew what Tobias Harris was, but he's been playing well.

(07:44):
You know, they're not backing down. They're playing loose, they're
playing with house money, and now they're back at home
for game three. It's been a great series. The big
picture question, as you brought up game one, Juliane, is
what are we saying if the Knicks are down oh
to at this point in time.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, we're saying that they are in a lot of drugman,
we're saying that that Detroit wins the series. For sure,
I would still maybe consider betting them in game three.
They'd probably be an underdog and it being even nicer price.
But yeah, I think you know, some series I'm looking
ahead and feel a certain way this one. I'm looking

(08:21):
more a game at a time, and this one.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Feels like New York. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
My skepticism for New York here is I don't think
it is just sketticism or a little bit of both
boiled and I won't lie, but I don't think it
is flipped the switch fixes here, Like I think there's
genuine offensive issues that they do have. Like so far
through two games, Jalen Brunson has passed the ball to
Karl Anthony Town's twelve total times that they're playing. This
isocentric offense that Jalen Brunson is acting like he's two

(08:46):
thousand and one Allen Iverson and this team was built
to go all in to have this core and they're
not utilizing these guys Michael Bridges, there aren't sets run
from og Ananoby has not been this co star the
way that things are designing. Karl Anthony Town's is too
talented offense to not utilize that, especially when there are
defensive concerns. So I don't think it is like a
quick fixed thing. And I also kind of think for
the Pistons angle here, they got their wake up call

(09:08):
that that collapse in the fourth quarter in Game one.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
That's when we saw the youth. They learned from that.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
They did not let their foot off the gas in
game two, and I think that carries over as far
as like the home crowd conversation. Sure, the regular season record,
there's concerns. I think we got to throw that out
the window too, because this is the first playoff atmosphere
that this fan base has had in like fifteen years,
the first time that they won. So I think it
is going to be a special energy in that building tonight,
and I don't think the team lets them down.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
Yeah, I'm obviously on the the side we talked about Julian,
so welcome to the fight here.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
When you talk about jillm it's all been Jill and
Brunton offense. That's true.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
It's a very uncreative, unimaginative offense, and that a lot
of blame goes to the Thips for that. Yes, but
almost ninety five percent of Kid's made baskets, made field
goals in this game have been unassisted, So a lot
of that offensive burden has also been on Kate and
when when you when you come comes down to Nicks
versus Pistons. The supporting cast nobody showed up in that
second half. And you can blame Brunson, you can blame Thibbs.

(10:02):
But I trust their two through five way more than
I trust the Pistons two through five.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
And O g Anobi is a phenomenal on ball defender.

Speaker 6 (10:10):
His physical physicality, defensive intensity was not there in Game two.
They did a poor job navigating screen. They're gonna have
a different plan. I just trust the Knicks two through
five more. And look, I'm not really concerned about home
home court. I've said this for a while. I do
not care about home court in the playoffs at all.
Means nothing to me, nothing.

Speaker 7 (10:26):
Not even from New York's perspective, because that place was
rock I was there at Game one. It was rock
in for sure, and it definitely contributed that twenty one
oh run. Just as a principal, it's not home court
doesn't do it. For eight of the last game seven's
have been won by the road team.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Well, damn when you're trying stats out like that, I
hate the home court conversation. Julian to put a bow
on the Knicks discussion for you tonight.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
And not much of a bow.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
A It's not a nearly as confident of a series
or game as we've had throughout this postseason. It's more
of just a numbers thing in buying low on the
Knicks and trusting that they can't be so hardheaded that
there's not going to be some type.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Of adjustments and we're better play.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
I would assume, I guess the bow is I assume
we're gonna see a better game from Karl Anthony Towns
because there will be a point to make Karl Anthony
Towns more involved in the game.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Props. Should we be looking at Karl Anthony Towns props tonight?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Anything we can look there, and I haven't gone there yet,
but I would guess this is a again just like
the Knicks.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
By low one all right, h Carl Anthony Town's currently
on DraftKings Sportsbook twenty five plus at plus one point twenty.
We are looking at some three pointers made here where
we at with Karl Anthony Towns. As far as three
pointers made, boys.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
They just don't want to see him, get him in
the paint. In the paint, that's where he should be geting.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Especially because they're what they've been doing is they put
Tobias Harris on them because they want they put jilln.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Bias indeed him he's clamping I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
There was multiple a lot of doubles this way. I
don't think Tobias is clamping up and singing.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
My guy, Tobias Harris.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
They put they put Jillen.

Speaker 6 (12:02):
Your guy devisors right now, Jalen duran On on Josh
Hart because that's that's it just makes sense for the
for the next and that's why the makes sense for
the Pistons. So I don't I think you have to
take advantage of that. Like Julian said, I want to
see Carle Anthony Town's in the post, all.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Right, twenty five and a half. Should we be looking
at that maybe on our same game.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Bar slips, I would say, I just don't like as
far as like the stubbornness conversation, like Tom Thibodeau is
not a guy that I think is gonna, you know,
have a change of heart throughout going into this playoff.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Brunson under point, because I think we're gonna see him
shoot the ball less and have less of a usage
rate on the offense because of he said he even
acknowledged himself this morning, and she wakes.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Up and scores thirty man.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
I agree, but he acknowledged himself as shoot around that
he needs to be off the ball morn and shouldn't
be taking up the court and have be that much
of a high usage guy.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
So maybe his under point something to look at.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Malik Beasley threes is my favorite prop over three and
a half.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
There.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
I do think that we know the role players play
better at home conversation. He shot one of eight from
three last game. He did hit shoot six from twelve
in game one, and I do think that he's gonna
be fired up right at a role and they're gonna
create looks for him. So looking at a prop that
is my favorite direction is Malik Beasley over three and
a half threes.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Malik Beasley Julian Edlow. He does like the fire.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Yeah, I don't mind that he's bounced back well and
a lot of it. That's a prop that I played
a lot during the season, and when he has a
poor shooting night, he generally bounces back well. So at home, yeah,
you're gonna need probably more than six. Well we shot eight, Yeah,
eight looks you know you want ideally ten, but he
should get him.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
All right, Let's get on over to another game that
has a lot of attention, and rightfully so. And of
course we're talking about the Clippers and the Denver Nuggets
first game at the Intoit Dome out there in LA
playoff history for the Clippers there. Man, what a series
it's been so far. But I guess the question that
I would have for you to start, Julian, is this,

(13:56):
if the Clippers don't get that type of performance from
Kawhi Leonard or should we be expecting that type of
performance from Kahi letter because he is as good as
advertised right now. He is the Kuhi of old. He
is that Jalen Brunson where he wakes up and he's
going to get you thirty. But he didn't get you
thirty in Game one and you lost. So if they
don't get that type of production from Kawhi tonight, is

(14:18):
it in your mind a Denver Nugget plus five and
a half play? Or do you like the Clippers at
home tonight plus minus five and a half?

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah? This is an interesting series.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
And again I'm bitter with my plus three forty Clippers
Game one in series double result because they had Game
one and they gave it away. Yes, they did and
lose it in overtime. Ultimately heroic cover. Thank you Norm
Powell for the last second three. But you could argue
the Clippers should have probably won game one if they
don't come undone. There you could argue Denver would have

(14:50):
won Game two if Kawhi wasn't like near perfect, and
here we would be at one to one anyway. So
I think we're we're at the right place with it
a tide series. But now I think shifting to LA,
I do think that this is one where I don't
know if home court matters as much, but not being

(15:11):
at home for Denver is going to matter because beyond Jokic,
you know a little bit of Murray, but I don't
trust the rest of that roster very much.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
So I could see Denver really struggling in this game
outside of Jokic, and why won't be We don't think
Maybe he will be. He can be, but I'm not
going to expect another thirty nine points on whatever that was,
eighteen shots or whatever.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
I don't think he's gonna be that good. But Harden
didn't play well. He should shoot better in this game,
and the rest of that Clippers depth I expect to
play well.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
So if Kauhi can give us like.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Seventy percent of Jokic or something like that to match
that output. I think the rest of the Clippers are
going to give far more than the Nuggets. I do
like the Clippers in this one. Might lay some points.
I got them in some money line parlays, but I
think we're looking at the Clippers taking a two to
one lead here.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yeah, it's really interesting because of course we know what
Denver has championship mentality, and like, if somebody wanted to
tell me that five and a half is too many,
I can't argue that. But I do love the Clippers here.
I do. I think the Clippers are going to win
Game three. I think the Clippers are going to win
this series. And I'm with you as far as Game
one was concerned, I was a tough, tough beat. As
I was on the Where the hell was I was

(16:30):
watching that. Oh, I had my kid's quickball game and
I'm running around with my phone on my hand. It
goes over time. It was the best thing for us,
and then of course they come up short. You said
that earlier. What is quickbaw? Quickball is right before t ball.
My daughter's five years old. And it's literally like they
teach the game of baseball running. It's like stage to station.

(16:51):
There's no tea now. Yeah, it's like it's a little
soft phone ball bats and there's like five different stations
that you teach the kid and hour and you play
one inning. Gotcha play.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Quick ball up there, Julian, No quick ball here. We've
got the t ball set in the backyard. More into
soccer right now. Uh with basketball on the horizon, we're
getting there. Nice, my son's five, We're not quite there.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah. Yeah, soccer is as it's slowly appealing to my daughter.
She's she's asking me to go kick the ball in
the backyard. I'm my cat. Let's go. Let's go, all right,
And then to put a bow on the Nuggets and
Clippers series, Shavid Arch Sam, care to add anything here? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Do you want to lead off? Sam?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
No? Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
I mean I was just gonna say for the Denver
Nuggets conversation, we know that this is kind of so
much on yok just play and I just want to
kind of express a little bit of like what there's
been a little non jokic stuff going down, stuff like
him forgetting the shot clock some of like missing two
free throws at the end of Game one, which they
ultimately went on to win. It's been a little bit
of a strange Nicola Jokic series to me. So, I

(17:59):
guess do you guys have any level of concern that
that is the case, because there's so much on his
play and I really haven't seen him kind of, I guess,
you know, think the game the way he hasn't in
these past couple games, not at all.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Okay, So Julian.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Yeah, I would give him the benefit of the doubt
that the two miss free throws were two miss free throws.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
And.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Yeah, I think I think he'll be fine. Everybody else
I am worried about.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
Sure, I think Subach is the best defender on him,
but I'm not worried about Jokich I think. I mean,
part of my series handicap before is why I like
the Clippers was that Yes is the best player in
the series, and he's the best player in the world,
but the gap between him and the level Kawhi was
playing at coming into these playoffs was not that monstrous,
and I didn't didn't necessarily expect Kawi to do what

(18:44):
he did in Game two, but I knew he was
playing at an elite level, and so that's why I
like the Clippers, and I'm with Julian.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
I like the Clippers. Tonight.

Speaker 6 (18:50):
I will say, whatever happens in this series, I don't
give the Nuggets a chance against the Thunder.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
I will seriously.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
Consider betting the Clippers as underdogs against the Thunder. So
I hope the Clippers advanced, just to see an electric
series between those two. If it's the Nuggets, I don't
think they have a chance gets to Thunder.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
All right, Julian, I don't want to waste anybody's time
in Oklahoma City and Memphis. So let's get on over
to tomorrow night, and let's go ahead and open up
with the Pacers and Bucks. Another interesting series here. I
like the Pacers. I think the Pacers have a better
team top to bottom. Dame, I thought it was unfair
for people to expect old school Dame seventeen and a

(19:27):
half was on DraftKings sportsbook. In that game, I said,
under I thought it was a low numbers. Don't get
too crazy. It's fourteen. So it was pretty much on
point there. The Pacers have covered both games, and now
they're five point dogs here. In game three. I know
it's going to be a desperate spot, but I'm not
buying what Doc Rivers is trying to sell me. I
think the Pacers are the better team here. I'll take
the five. Anything for you in that one game three

(19:49):
tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yeah, you know, this is one of the spots that
the first half trend has caught up, or the market
I should say, has caught up to the first half trend.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Last night looked what is it? Is it five and
a half for the game?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Now five for the game?

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Five for the game?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
What was half half? What was the trend?

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Well?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Just the two team coming home first tacked has been
an NBA spot for since before I was betting. So
now it's you know, laying four, you're not getting a
great number. I think the Bucks can get a game here.
I think the Bucks can show up here. I need
to decide how I'm playing it. Is it gonna be

(20:30):
the double result leader half time and win the game?
Which was like minus one twenty five range? Is it
gonna be first half? Money line parlayed tonight with like
okay see money line because I do think okay, see
just has Memphis number, and that's Memphis isn't gonna figure
that out. They might show some heart, but they're not
gonna win games here. So yeah, finding a way to

(20:53):
avoid that tax that you now have to pay on
the first half. I do like the first half more
than the game for the Bucks. They've been a good
first half team at home. Indie struggled a little bit,
So yeah, Bucks first half in some former fashion. But
I I don't know if I'm being stubborn, but I
can't justify laying four to four and a half on

(21:14):
the half when it's five for the game.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, four and a half on the game right now?
In DraftKings sportsbook for the Bucks and Pacer series where
Bucks are first half of the game three, where Bucks
are favored at home. Interesting spot. We'll see what happens
in that one. Of course Tomorrow night. Staying in Tomorrow night,
let's talk about the Lakers and the Tea Wolves. Where
are we out with this one? Because I thought I
was pretty on point with the mission accomplished. I thought

(21:37):
the vibe for me was that Minnesota would go into
Game two saying, you know what, we came here, we
did what we needed to do. It's a little disrespectful
take by me. I will say that, especially for a
team that made the Western Conference Finals. First half I
was spot on with that thought process. And then the
second half, you know, JJ Reddick says shots just didn't
fall for the Lakers, and I could get down with it,

(21:58):
but I thought they should have won by four in
that game. They eked it out. They won by nine.
It is what it is. A cover is a cover.
Really intriguing series as they're tied up one game a
piece right now. The series market, anybody got a series
price on that one? I apologize the series market for
the Lakers right now and the t Wolves Lakers minus
one fifteen, t Wolves minus one oh five? Anything for

(22:19):
you on Game three tomorrow night, Julian or the series itself.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Yeah, I'm gonna take Minnesota Game three. Now.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
I'll preface this by saying Minnesota has been a weird
team in some of these series. You remember they went
up to nothing against Denver, then lost two in a
row at home, then lost on the road, then won
the game six on the road. Then we're down twenty
at Denver in Game seven, then came back and won
that game. They've been a kind of a weird team

(22:47):
to predict like when you think they're gonna bounce back,
they dig an even deeper hole and then they figure
it out. And Lebron has historically come out slow in
those game ones. I don't love him saying it takes
a game to get ready for playoff basketball. Because he's
played more playoff basketball than anybody. He should be more
ready than everybody else. Everybody else should be catching up
game one. I don't get that, but he historically doesn't

(23:08):
do well in game ones. They got the game two
bounce back. He could continue some of that momentum in
a Game three on the road. All that said, I
am buying in to Minnesota maybe learning a little bit
from from its lessons these last couple of years and
getting a Game three at home. I think they figured
some things out in the second half of that game

(23:29):
after getting pounded in the first time, and I think
things will get a little bit tougher for the Lakers.
I think Minnesota will figure out how and when to
use Gobar and maybe using more of Na's reed when needed,
and then when maybe when you're playing with the lead,
that's when you use Gobert on the defensive end. Like
they have some things to figure out there. I think

(23:49):
they will and I will lay three with them at home.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Anybody want to add anything on the Lakers and Tea Wolves,
because man, what a series it is.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Yeah, I like Minnesota for Game three as well. And
one thing I'll add with it is I think we've
all been pretty negative in the way we talked about
Julius Randall. I've been pretty impressed with him so far
this series, and you kind of see the impact of
just his sheer, sighed strength, ability to bang in the
post down there on a Lakers team which is really
short handed. They basically have taken Jackson Hayes out of
the rotation in its entirety, which I get from the
Lakers' perspective here. But Randall's a guy from a proper

(24:20):
perspective that if you're looking to get involved, I would
keep my eye on him.

Speaker 6 (24:23):
Yeah, Reddick really only is like seven guys he trust, right, Yeah,
because he really does not trust Jackson Hayes.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
And I can't.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
I can't expect him to at all because he's barely
even a backup in this league.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I will say I'm with Julian on the fact. Well,
hang on, since we're talking about JJ Reddick was there
anything there for you, guys, Julian, I'll start with you
on this one. You know it's funny, right, it's game serious.
It's season one for JJ, and he's proved his worth
and we know what he is as far as the
NBA player all day. I get it, I get it,
I get it, But I don't know. Lebron took the

(24:55):
podium and the first thing when he was asked about
JJ spouting off and being fired up here, spasing, I
think is what the word was. He then went into, yeah,
I once had a coach freshman year in high school
that was the same way. I just was like, you know,
if I'm JJ, you gotta you gotta take notice of that, right, like, man,
you're being compared to a freshman basketball coach because basketball.

Speaker 6 (25:20):
I didn't take it like that. I doubt JJ took
that as a slight in anyway.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
No, JJ's not. But I think you need to constructive criticism,
like maybe the way you get your message across isn't
the best. I don't think JJ gives a damn on mine.
The game they used to talk about having packfull. John
Lebron's high school coach was all the time. It's true well,
I didn't listen to minings, so I'm sorry. All right. Anyways,
I take the take the microphone real quick. All I

(25:46):
was saying was that I grew with Julian.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
From the standpoint of this does remind me of that
Nuggets Wolves series last year where almost every single game,
Game one was kind of tight, and then Game seven
was a twenty point lead. Of course the Wolves storm
back and win, but pretty much every game in that
series was a blowout, and I kind of see that
happening in this series, of course, from what we've seen
the first two games, and I can see that trending

(26:07):
in that direction. Until Game seven we just have blowouts.
So it's really just whoever you like just lay the number,
uh with with these teams. And I'm on the Wolves
as well in game three, but I just can see
a lot of a competitive series with a lot of
uncompetitive games, all.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Right, uh. Before we get it over to the NFL draft, Julian,
I always like to involve chat GBT in this day
and age, and I threw in fun NBA playoff questions
and it gave me a good one. So I want
to ask you this, who's this year? This is under
the category of spicy and fun, not really either one
by Sun Spicy and fun. Who's this year's bubble Jamal?

(26:45):
Murray m it's a good pull by chat GBT to
even go that all by itself, all by itself? Yeah,
this year's Jamal.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
I'll be it.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Two games in anybody have an answer to as well?

Speaker 2 (26:58):
In that one.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
I feel like it's disrespont actful to say Kawhi because
he's got much greater of a track record.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
But I feel like a breakout is coming out for
his playoff.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Yeah, Shanoon. Maybe Shangoon's been awesome.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
I've been so impressed with him first playoffs, said, he
does not care about Draymond's antics. No, those people get
either it gets in their head and or they they're
distracted by and they paid too much attention to it.
He does not care at all. He's just locked in
and he's talking right back to Draymond. Does not affect
his play Shanguon's a good place, all right.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
We co signed Shangoon join Shanoon.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Jalen Green was really good last night. I feel like
going to a Rockets player is the right idea for
like a breakout guy, especially if they beat the Warriors,
which I'm hey, what.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
About Kay, what about Kate cunning Andrew Andrew Demhart. I
like that too, he's been awesome.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
And Nemart I love.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
I don't think he's gonna break out like Jamal Murray,
but he's turned himself into into a great player. And
I like another one that came up. It's kind of
the same vein as Kate Cunningham. Ban Chero has been
really good against the Celtics. Yeah, it's just they might
get swept Bubble mul Murray if you play four games.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I don't know. Yeah, Paula's he's been playing great.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
He's a monster. Nice dunk too. Yesterday, great game, they thought,
Yeah they did, they did. I give them a little
bit of a who's the magic head coach.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
From almost thanky?

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I you know again, I thought
Magic should have been better all season long. They had
a good season. We'll see what they can do and
build off the injuries injuries did. But then what they'll
end up losing somebody though, right, Like somebody's gonna go
on the green ear pastures from this year's team, And
I don't know, like it's down the road. Maybe Orlando
could turn into something. We'll see what happens there. All right, Julian,

(28:45):
we'll get you out of here on this one. Last
week we talked about the NFL Draft and how the
Patriots could really shake things up. You went to a
uh A party afterwards where you heard a lot of
potentially who with the Patriots would be selecting at number four. Overall,
I want to ask you today, as we're just hours
away from going live to Green Bay for Round one,

(29:07):
will the Patriots stay put at four? Your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (29:12):
First of all, it wasn't a party.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
It was a fundraiser for cancer, Stand Up Citizen and
I deserve.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
What's the difference between that and a party? Let me
give you a bigger round of applause.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I had some great I pas over at the Vitamin Yeah,
I will admit I did have a fun time trying
to help raise money for cancer.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Good problem.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
So yeah, I'm so.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Everything I'm hearing is that Patriots are are sticking and picking,
which I don't totally get because now we have all
these trade rumors. We're in at five with Jacksonville. All
these teams want to trade up to get genty. Who
if we're just going best player in the draft. The
three best players in the draft are Hunter, Carter and Genty.

(29:57):
Why if you're the Patriots, when you can get an
O line lineman anywhere from five to ten, would you
not take the reins from Jacksonville and say the if
you want Genty, you don't go to five, you come
to us at four. I don't get why they wouldn't
do that. But everything I've heard, and everything I was
told at my party and everything that i've heard since

(30:20):
then is that is that they're not doing that.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
So I don't totally get it.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Maybe there maybe Mike Vrabel's come in and has been
a master schemer and keeping everything behind the scenes and
will shock us tonight, but.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Last night by the way here, yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
It's probably gonna be Will Campbell, And uh, you know,
Rapaport keeps saying that Jacksonville is the team to watch
for a big move. They desperately want to trade up
for Travis Hunter, but that's probably not going to happen.
So can they give someone the fifth pick to get
Genty and take somebody like a Tyler Warren or a
Teed McMillan later in the top ten. That's where the movement,

(30:59):
at least where the smoke is in terms of the movement.
But it seems like in a draft where trades are
going to be really difficult because nobody wants to move
up in a draft that's not loaded at the top.
If that's now becoming a thing and you have the
fourth pick, I don't know why you wouldn't involve yourself in.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
That interesting And like we did talk about before he
went to that great party last week, you know, it
felt like teams won't didn't have the the thoughts of
moving up. And now as we inch closer, we know
that this is the time for rumors, whether or not,
whether it's smoke, there's fire, so on and so forth,
long winded getting to the quarterback question that I have

(31:37):
for you. I just find it hard to believe that
now all of a sudden, Shador Sanders is the quarterback
that we're drawn the line that we're not going to
take higher than what he should go when year after
year after year quarterbacks are constantly selected where they don't belong,
and we understand why, no reason to waste you know,
breath on that, But where do you see right now?

(31:58):
If you had to take a guess, should yours Sanders?
Where's he getting drafted? And the big question over two
and a half. As far as quarterbacks in the first round,
where do you stand on that one?

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Julian, Yeah, it's tough to get, you know, share a
good bet at this stage. I've been fading shador. I
have some over eight and a half. I have some
over ten and a half. I had to lay a
lot of juice on those numbers DraftKings. Last I looked
he was fourteen and a half with minus four hundred
to the over everywhere else he seems to be twenty

(32:29):
one and a half, which is the number. Obviously you
want to bet the under that's Pittsburgh at twenty one
is what everybody's pointing at.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Last year blew my mind a little bit with the
six quarterbacks in the top twelve. But the under on
quarterbacks taken in the first round has cash six out
of the last eight years.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
So you say they continue to.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Go high, and some of them do, and last year
they absolutely did.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Are they going to this year? I would point right
to twenty twenty two.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
After we had a great quarterback back class in twenty
twenty great quarterback class in twenty twenty one, and then
in twenty twenty two it was Kenny Pickett at twenty.
Malik Willis was a guy who's draft brought I bet
over nine and a half over ten and a half,
he went eighty six, Like win.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Or when or not?

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Say is gonna slide like that?

Speaker 3 (33:21):
But I could see Pittsburgh like passing on quarterback, And
then it's only been cam Ward so far, and the
Giants are looking to come back up for a Jackson
Dart and maybe should or goes later and maybe it
is three. So like, I'm not gonna say take under
two and a half quarterbacks, but I do think quarterbacks slide,
and I think there's a chance we don't see another

(33:43):
one until the twenties after cam Ward goes.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Great insight, great breakdown. And of course it goes hand
in hand with the odds right now that are currently
available in New Jersey. But I'm not locked in so
I can get them right here in Pennsylvania. Jackson Dart
at twenty four and a half plus one ninety on
the over under twenty four and a half at minus
two to fifty shitedor is under fourteen and a half
of plus three twenty over fourteen and a half at

(34:07):
minus four fifties, So I think you're right on point
with your assessment there when it comes to quarterbacks and
the upcoming NFL Draft, Julian, have you ever seen the
movie Wicked? No, huh, I did, and a lot it
was alright, but a lot takes place like they get
sucked up in this tornent, and I feel like that's

(34:30):
what happened with us today. But that's all right, that's
all right, we got through it. Great insight, great information
as always, my friend, good luck on those plays. DraftKings
Sportsbook is where you can find Julian of course on
all things socials as well, Sean Benard as well, but
be sure to get all of the content over at
DK network dot com. Julian, enjoy the draft, my friend,
good luck on those plays, and we'll catch up next week.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Man, all right, sounds good. Be easy, guys, you're the best.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
There, he is, Julian Edla once again from his front stoop,
all the way up there in the Greater Boston area.
It's right, you know, when it comes to the odds,
it often does point us in that right direction. But
I feel like, man, I just.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
The draft's so hard to bet on that there's so
much smoke out there too.

Speaker 6 (35:14):
And yeah, one mock draft, I'm a prominent figure, will
will completely shift the odds.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Yeah, you're right about that. I think who do you
go to from the insiders insider perspective? Who was the
one that you're looking at from the NFL mock draft?
I love Peter Scheger Schrager, who just put it out
a day ago, Yes, sir, for ESPN's first year for ESPN.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Yeah, I think he's Amazing's a great, great insider, great intel.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
I trust him. Trust Daniel Jeremiah.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
I like Jeremiah. Yeah McShay is my number one.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, yeah, okay, Mark Henry Junior is my number one?
Well yeah sure, yes, sides him obviously. Mark. Uh you
know the cool thing we got into his brain yesterday
and who knows where you're going with that. But I
asked him, I said, wait, you don't wager on the
NFL draft? Blue me away that this guy who is
mister Draft, there's not wager on the draft.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
The game.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Yes, he breaks down these players. That's so he's like,
I can't control what other people are going to do.
That's not what I want to do. He likes assessing
the players and giving them grades and seeing where they go. No,
that was pretty cool. Again, you never know where you're
going to get a market region.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
Also, throw a quick shout to Anthony Debona who's been
on hands to man it's done a great job. And
he's putting together a nice little like tracking all the
Eagles visits and all this other stuff. He sent me
over a whole file today, So shout that m has
done a really nice shot covering this.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Look, and and I know it's interesting. There are there
have been teams that draft players that they don't meet with,
but I don't think it would happen all that often, right,
I think he'd have to meet with the guy. And
then when you get inside the brain of Howie Roseman
who spoke on that podcast from the Combine where he said, man,
like we won't touch players if they got this going on,

(36:55):
you know, Like it's.

Speaker 5 (36:56):
Interesting because that's different for every sport too, Like I
know NBA's specifically, that's kind of a strategy the Sixers
in particular, like they never interviewed Dad McCain or Tyrese
Maxie because that was one of those like that sounds
about right, But that Daryl Morey at least has spun
it as that strategic in the way.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
We don't want that.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Of course, why don't they interview those guys because they
don't want to show interest.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
They don't want it to be known that they have interests.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Of course Maury would say that, you know, I saw
today that they're playing their preseason games over in Dubai.
That's cool, by the way, and it's great. Yeah, give
me national internationale and I wanted to say, can you
just play the whole season over there? Voted one of
the worst organizations in the NBA by the players.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
Non surprisingly, Sixers were yep, Now that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
They weren't one. Well it was uh, they weren't one.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
They weren't. They're like five or so, I think it was.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Was it so Washington won?

Speaker 1 (37:48):
When did that report come out yesterday?

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (37:50):
It did? All right, we're going to hit on that
on the other side, because this is the thing when
it comes to the Sixers organization. I often said, I
don't care what I feel about you as far as
an onnerous because I don't care what teams you own.
I don't care about any of that nonsense. I honestly
didn't give a damn if they moved the team to Camden.
I really didn't you want to do that? Go right
at I don't care as long as you get the

(38:12):
players and the players look at this organization in a
different light than the fans do. Now when we're on
the same level playing field with our assessment, our thoughts
on this organization and the players field the same way.
Now we got issues, We're gonna find out little bit
more in the details as far as that report is concerned.
All right, I maybe went a little too far. I
care if they move from to Camden, all right, but
come on, man, we understand how it works. Dollars daily

(38:35):
ticket rolling on here, Schabernard sam Ostria. I'm brace more
than this
