Speaker 1 (00:13):
A one twenty to one oh six win for the
Mavericks here in Sacramento, as the King's season will end
and the Mavericks move on and will walk in Memphis
on Friday night.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh that's good.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
After a one twenty to one oh six win here
in Sacrimo.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I'm gonna bring everybody behind the scenes. First of all,
the great Julian Edlough back on the program. And I
appreciate Julian slide into four o'clock representing the squad over
at DraftKings Sportsbook. Julian, great to see you. I want
to bring you behind the scenes to as well. A
conversation that I had earlier today, and I mean this
with all love and respect. Sam Austrey, my co host
over here, he did not know what fear Factor was?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Did you show? I was aware? My dad has showed
me the Fear Factory.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
I was shook.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Why I looked up and Joe Rogan was on the cover.
What so it's it's entertaining to me.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
We're gonna play a little fun game a little bit
later about reboot Roulette. We're gonna call that game of
obviously a little gambler flair there where we talk about
ninety shows. I'm gonna throw some names out there. You're
gonna have to guess what the show is about, Okay, okay,
all right? So yeah, and you know, I want to
bring this up because he just referenced walking in Memphis. There,

(01:28):
you guys know the song walking into Memphis? All right, Julian,
do you know the song walking in Memphis?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I'm aware of.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Well, but like I'm walking him. It's a good too,
great tune, great cover song too.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
So I like that call. It was a good call
right there. What I don't like is this all right?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I like, I get it.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
We live on the timeline, so we get trapped in
these conversations and it's like, really, you're saying this right now?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
And then it was in NBA.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
People that I respect, people that are like on broadcast teams,
And all right, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Sacramento Kings
last night.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
We had it.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
We said it last night. I'm pretty sure the majority. Well, Julian,
let us know what DraftKings had.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
It wasn't that difficult of a call to say that
the Mavericks were going to beat the Sacramento Kings, even
though they were four and n half point.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Dogs understood, but the people just sit there. You want Sacramento. Wow,
everyone had it, I guess.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
But but you know what I would say is that
everybody that I saw, I saw it a few times
at the time, and not everybody, but people were trying
to make the case that whoa, if they had Kyrie,
look out this Dallas Mavericks team, what you're saying about
Nico would be a hell of a lot different.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
No, imagine they had Luca. That's my point.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Like no, and I'll even say it like this, Julian,
I'm gonna bring you in on this one.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Is it wrong to say that.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Even if the Dallas Mavericks won a championship this year,
am I out of touch on this one? Even if
they want a championship this year, it's still a mistake
that trade Luka Doncics.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
That's further than I would go.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
I guess, Okay, they win the championship this year, then
they exceeded what they did last year. Now that's I mean,
I can end this right away by saying that's not
gonna happen tomorrow night, and if they don't, they're gonna
get smoked by the thunder. But I mean to play

(03:25):
your game. If they win a championship this year, I'll
say that they made the right move because they wanted.
They've got one in pocket. And now they're coming back
with Davis and Kyrie and but like now I'm playing
your crazy game. That's not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, no it's not. And Anthony Davis isn't what is he?
Thirty two?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I think so?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
All right, So he's not that old, but Lucas twenty
six and he's one of the greatest scores we've ever
seen statistically, And I.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
Would say eighty is like an asterisk thirty two that
he's his body's got to wear.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
And Tarl he's not Jowell Embiid's thirty two, but he
is not far off, all right, Julie, we got a
lot to discuss with the great to see you.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Man, My guy Sam again, I'm picking on him. He's
out in college basketball, he's all he's all out on
college college athletics as a whole.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
I have a new theory too. I think this is
the Kevin Willard effect a little bit. Guy Sam is
a Maryland.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
I don't know why we're gonna start talking college basketball.
Somebody thinks buzz Williams is an upgrade.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
I got a wash at coach at best at Maryland.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
I wasn't that upset about Kevin Willard leaving because I
didn't think he was some phenomenal coach.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
It was how it went down, which, which was which?

Speaker 4 (04:34):
What is?

Speaker 5 (04:35):
What irritated me. And I'm just not a Buzz Williams guy.
I know we're going to be relevant and we're probably
gonna be a tournament team consistently, I'm not a Buzz
Williams guy. I think the ceiling is is like a
round of thirty two exit probably and his antics and
the religion thing whatever, that's guy, but he he Buzz
Williams is not from me. Okay, not a fan, all right?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
He said that.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
By the way, Sam Oustry said that I did. All right, Julian,
I want you know, I brought up the college athletics
angle because we did open the show talking about Nico
and it is an interesting topic.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I'm curious do you have a take on that?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
And sorry I'm starting it off with you, but I
wanted to know, obviously from your mind, where you stand
on that conversation, because to me, I get that this
guy did not make all the right choices. That's understood,
But at the end of the day, I feel like
people are burying him when the coaches do the exact
same thing, Like, Okay, he left in April, this season
doesn't start till September. You know, could he have left

(05:33):
a little earlier, Sure, and it probably would have been
a little bit more beneficial for Nico to do so.
But man, it just absolutely a Mario Cristo ball running
his yap down there when like these guys will leave
at the spur of the moment without saying good bye
to anybody if the price tag is higher than what
they're currently making, and now Nico's getting buried for it.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
What is your thoughts on everything that's taking place with
Nico and Tennessee.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
Yeah, I don't have a problem with anybody and what
they did, because it's all within the current lane escape
and we're gonna have to go through a couple of
speed bumps like this when you lay out a new landscape,
and like, honestly, the first thing that went through my
mind really was it reminded me of being somebody that

(06:16):
has been at DraftKings since near the beginning when the
DFS World came up, and the sports betting world came up,
and there's all these new laws and regulations that you
have to and it's like, oh, I never thought of, like,
you know, somebody at DraftKings like having an advantage if they

(06:37):
could play on FanDuel or like like that's honestly what
went through my mind. And I was like, oh, so
this is all brand new college football, just like people
learned how dfs worked and how sports betting worked, and
so this is obviously newer, and they're going to make
new rules. So like, if you want to leave for
more money as a college kid, that's within your right.
What if we just slap like a you know, March

(07:00):
thirty first date on it all fair for everybody. Everybody
make the decisions by March thirty first. If you want
to leave for more money, tell us by March thirty first.
If you don't do it, then you're ours for that
dollar tag next season, Like they'll be that's my simple fix.
But like there'll be rules and regulations that come out
on this, or maybe a minor salary cap or a whatever,

(07:22):
but like they'll figure it out, and here's one of
the first examples, and then it'll happen again, and then
it'll happen where like Alabama's quarterback leaves for ten million
dollars like a month before the season, and then they're
gonna say, all right, we gotta put some rules in place,
and that's how it'll happen.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, that was one hot, hot button topic that we
got into. And you know, look, it seems like he's
gonna go to UCLA. We'll see what happens. And of
course I would love to know a little bit more
details as far as the price tag is concerned, but
we'll see what happens. As I said, all right, over
to the hardwood, let's talk about some games that are
taking place in the play in Tournament. Of course, we've
got two more games coming up tomorrow draft Sportsbook where

(08:00):
we're getting numbers from the Heat and Hawks Do or
Die Heat point favorite. Two twenties are total and that
one's seven to ten MAVs and Grizzlies six and a
half point favorites Grizzlies at home to twenty one and
a half. Before we jump into those games, let's take
it back to Tuesday night and let's talk about the
Golden State Warriors with Jimmy Butler and the impact that

(08:21):
he has had since the trade. Julian, what is the
ceiling when we're looking at the Warriors. I know some
people were worried about where they were at playing in
the play in tournament, but now put that to the side.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
They are in the playoffs. If you're talking about the
ceiling for the Golden State Warriors with Jimmy Butler, and
it's eye opening the difference that he has made since
he's joined the team. As far as rankings, the ratings
are concerned, it's crazy went over him yesterday.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
What's the ceiling for Golden State? In your eyes?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
At the ceiling?

Speaker 6 (08:48):
I mean, I think they can make a deep playoff
run because they have the pieces in place, So I
won't deny their ceiling. But my projection is I'll take
Houston plus one sixty five on this series. I'll take
the Rockets. I'll take the Rockets plus a game in
a half, which last I looked was minus one ten
each way, which is my favorite way to play it

(09:09):
because if it does go to a game seven, I
don't feel great being against Curry and Butler and you
already got that win in pocket. Yeah, like they're really good.
They're twenty four and seven now with Butler. I was
on them every which way on the double result, on
moneyline parlays to get through that game, so I could

(09:30):
exhale when they finally got that one done. But it
took thirty eight from Butler. It took thirty whatever from
Steph plus some late dagger threes to win against Memphis
with John Moran getting dinged up and missing a chunk
of the game. Like there's a lot of I mean,
they were very close to losing that game if they

(09:50):
don't get every last bit out of Curry and Butler.
And that game obviously showed the glaring issues they have
with size because Zach Edie had the seventeen rebounds, he
had whatever twelve or fourteen points. Eadie, with all due respect,
is a stiff. Like you guys see him trying to
score around the basket earlier game. He started like zero

(10:10):
five from the field.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
He's bobble.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
He like he can't do anything against Draymond who's whatever
nine inches shorter than him. It's like, okay, so now
you get a talented guy in Sengoon who I think
can really punish them.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
You got guys. The refs are gonna be the biggest
part of this series.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
If they're calling everything to get Curry and Butler to
the line, Houston's gonna be in trouble. If Amen Thompson
and Dylan Brooks and the rest of those young athletics
scrappy guys can play physical with Curry and Butler, I
think the series is gonna go well for Houston. And
the number one thing was is just you know, Memphis

(10:48):
grabbed an offensive rebound on forty percent of their shots
in that game. If Houston does that and plays defense
the way that they can, you know, Houston, to me
is just a better version of Memphis, and I think
they're gonna find some some success in that series. So
hot take, I'm taking the two seed to take down
the seventh seed at a big plus price tag. Yeah,
second time ever that a seventh seed has been favored

(11:10):
over it too.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Plus one fifty five rockets.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
I know you said that when to come, I want
to come back with that on DraftKings plus one fifty
five and Golden State minus one ninety.

Speaker 7 (11:19):
Yeah, And to keep it here, I've kind of swung
a little bit more in the direction of Houston too.
I'm still leaning towards back in Golden State that I
think like the championship pedigree does speak here. And my
biggest concern about this Rockets team, it's execution down the
stretch here that like when kind of ranking the playoff teams,
what I ran into with this Houston team. I really
can't find a matchup where they're going to have the
best player on the floor when it gets to just

(11:39):
need a bucket time that I have my doubts about
Shingun about Jalen Green, and we kind of know that.
But on the other side of things here, they can
absolutely impose them self defensively. I mean, they limited Curry
to three points in their most recent matchups here, and
we're all over him there if they're allowed to continue
doing that. So I guess with you back in Houston,
do you see any chance where they can kind of
make some actual noise in the playoffs or do you

(11:59):
think this is sort of a one series ceiling for
the team.

Speaker 6 (12:03):
No, you know, next up would be the Lakers or
the Wolves, which is a series that I think would
be tougher for Houston, but that they could compete in.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
I wouldn't pick them to to get past Okac.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
I think the West, you know, is really jumbled up
just where the standings are really and I you know, okay, see,
he's got the separation in terms of how they play defense,
They've got the best player on the floor, and you know,
they wrapped up a lot more wins. They it feels
like it should be their time to break through. They've
been kind of knocking. But even with them, like, there's

(12:39):
a lot of good teams in the West that I
think can cause issues or get hot.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
So I won't be.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
Surprised really in anything in the Western Conference, if that
includes the Rockets making a run. And like to your
guys point, yeah, like if it's a two point game late,
that's probably a game the Warriors get between with Curry
and Butler and then you got Jalen Green and Thompson

(13:07):
or whoever may be making a mistake on the other end,
maybe not as egregious as a Memphis five second violation,
but making a mistake in some form or fashion. So like,
you know, I'm not saying this is going to be
Houston in a landslide. If it's close Golden State's and
gets some games, I think the games Houston gets it
could be. I don't want to say blowouts, but like
going away a little bit seven eight point game with

(13:29):
a minute left, and you know, Curry makes a couple threes,
but it's just too much earlier to get there.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Julian ed though joined us from Draftings Sportsbook here Julian
talking about both games tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Do you have your eye on either one of those matchups?
Do you potentially like a dog catching six and a
half with the Dallas Mavericks on the road in walking
in Memphis?

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Of course?

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Miami last night going into Chicago, a team that they
lost to three times this season and absolutely smoking them.
Everyone's starting to buy back into the Miami Heat culture
slash brand there Hawks again, will Trey Young make a
mockery of the game.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Is there a play or two in tomorrow Night's game
that has your attention?

Speaker 6 (14:13):
I wish I could give you something on one of
these two games. I still am not there yet. I'm
sure I'll come around on something by tomorrow. I'll have
more time tomorrow as well to dig into those. My
initial reactions. All the money's going on Miami at DraftKings Sportsbook,
and I understand it They're a more proven team in
the play in. The Hawks did beat them in the

(14:33):
play in a couple of years ago when the Heat
then wound up winning the eight seed and then going
to the NBA Finals, But the Hawks got them in
a play in game. It feels to a degree kind
of a by Low sell high by Low on the Hawks,
sell high on the Heat Atlanta at home.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
But Miami is good in these situations.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
There's no denying that they've got the coaching advantage, They've
got the players that have been.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
In these spat uts.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
So I still haven't I haven't come around made up
my mind on that game. Atlanta is definitely going to
be contrary. And if you want to side with the
sports book, the sports book is going to want the
Hawks in that game. That I can say, unless there's
a big switch in the money, which I don't anticipate
over the next twenty four hours. Flip flopped on the

(15:23):
other game too, like Memphis should win. They're the better team,
they got the extra day off. Jamrant did not practice today.
Guy's one big common misconception that like the casual viewer
or better makes is like oh Ja Morant came back
into the game, he's fine. No, his ankle probably hurts
more because he heard it, then comes back grinds it out.
Now it's really going to blow up the next day

(15:43):
just because he played on it. I think he's probably
in a worse He's going to be in worse shape
on Friday night than he would have been if he
sat the rest of that game out. So that's an issue.
Coaching for Memphis is obviously an issue, and the Mavericks
are sneak, Like you know, I did take Dallas plus
five last night. I was on the Bulls in the

(16:04):
other game, way off on that one, but I was
on Dallas like there, they can put it together. I
think everybody that perception of just how they trade Luca
and Kyrie gets hurt.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
This team stinks.

Speaker 6 (16:16):
They do have Anthony Davis, they have a Klay Thompson
that can be good. He can also be terrible, and
they've got other okay pieces, so it's like Dallas is
not bad. Catching six and a half is where I
would lean if you made me bet that game right now.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Yeah, that's an interesting number. This is a big time number.
And if I had to guess, I would assume, like
you said, everybody on Miami heat. I think everyone's going
to be taking the points with Dallas Mavericks. But with
the layoff or the time off from Memphis as you
pointed out, and the health of John Morant is still
a question mark, I would assume everybody's going to be
on Dallas.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
We'll see what happens as far as that.

Speaker 6 (16:50):
Is going to sixty two percent of the bets right
now are Dallas with the points, but for only forty
six percent of the money, So more money on Memphis
to spite close to it.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Two one ticket count.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
On Dallas, and Clay did reference the fact that he
lost to Sacramento and he heard about it all year
and he went out and shot five to seven from
downtown yesterday.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
He was locked in. Yeah, yeah, I thought that was
a difference there.

Speaker 5 (17:11):
All right, talk to me about some of the series here,
and specifically, let's dive in and ask about one.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Oh yeah, sure, let's just go right into. Are you
asking about the Nicks?

Speaker 5 (17:19):
Yes, after you mixed Pistons, because Shaun and I are
on different sides.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Maybe he's coming around a little bit or on different sides.
I'll stand ten.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
What I really want to ask you about is why
and I saw it a lot of books. The Pistons
are the most bet first round series winner because they're
gonna Why well they're not. But why are the Pistons
getting so much action?

Speaker 6 (17:46):
So the Knicks haven't been as great recently. They've obviously
had guys in and out that have contributed to that.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
I think it's the price.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
I think it is a little miss like the Knicks
should be big favorites.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
I don't know about minus four hundred or longer.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
That is steep, So how this all translates to me? Again,
I don't know why everybody immediately jumped on the Pistons.
I can say that is evening out. I don't have
updated numbers as of today, but initially it was like
eighty nine percent of the money on the Pistons, and
when I looked yesterday, it's come back to about two
thirds Pistons and a third on the Knicks. That might

(18:28):
be coming back even more. And I can see the
Knicks grew again as favorites, So I would imagine we're
getting closer to sixty forty would be my guest sixty Detroit.
I agree that the Pistons are that this series is mispriced,
that doesn't mean I need to play it on that.
That doesn't mean I need to back the Pistons because
ultimately I probably don't think they win. But the easy

(18:50):
one for me here is okay, if a series is
mispriced with a big favorite, I think Detroit can at
least extend this. All these series you look at total
number of games five and a half, it's like minus
two hundred range. This series is only minus one twenty
five to go over five and a half games. I
think that's one of the more reasonable plays on the
board for the postseason. And I generally am a sides
guy versus the totals, but just this series to get

(19:12):
to six games is my favorite play minus one twenty
five on DK Sports.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
And to be clear, that has been the bet that
I've been promoting the bust, so I'm counting that as a.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Win and I'm on the other side. I think this
is five maximum. Oh really five, Maybe the Pistons get one.
Just pure toughness, grit, all that good stuff in Detroit.
But this I love under five and a half games,
And what's the number on that that's gonna be some
plus money? Last time I saw it was even money.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
But this was that was.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
Yeah, minus one twenty five to the over, so plus
one now.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Which I love the over five and a half though.

Speaker 7 (19:45):
One of the arguments to me and Sam have had
this particularly about this series, and I'd love to hear
your opinion on Julian the best player in the series
is always a factor for me. I think Kate Cunningham
at worst is right there with Jalen Bronson. What do
you think the gap is between those two and do
you think has a case for potentially being the better player?

Speaker 6 (20:04):
Yeah, I mean so Cunningham can be the best player
on the floor on any given night, and I think
that helps you. He can score forty at MSG and
have a triple double and win a game. I don't
think anybody can deny that that's an option. Now the
Knicks have more pieces in that starting five, sure, and

(20:27):
that's you know, that's why the minus four hundred. So
you know, again, I don't think that makes a case
for me to back Detroit, but like you said, I
think it gives you a reason to potentially extend the series.
And if you want to look at cunningham props, particularly
in those games in New York, I would say where
not only role players take a step back in the

(20:49):
road in the NBA, we know in the playoffs, but
if there is a situation for a star to want
to do more, a guy that was in the running
for most improved player, although we can go down that
whole rabbit role, I don't think number one x TuS improved.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
Players in the third years or whatever.

Speaker 6 (21:03):
But uh, you know, that's the type of superstar step
up situation that you want to be in and put
more weight on your shoulders. So Kate Cunningham can definitely,
you know, he's plus money to leave the series in points.
He's a guy maybe on the road that you want
to look at for points props. So I think there's
ways to attack it. I'm just ultimately not going to

(21:24):
be saying, yeah, the Pistons are gonna win a See.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
My whole thing is that. Look, Jim Brunson is definitely
the best player in the series and is the best
playoff former, but even beyond that, like Knicks, the Knicks
have four of the five best players in the series,
So like, yeah, it can come down to who's the
best player, which a lot of times it does in
the playoff series.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
And but I think Brunton is still the best player.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
But even if you can say it's cater or that's
even to some degree, the Knicks have four of the
five best players in the series. Where I'm at is
not just on Jilen Brunts is the best player on
the series, but I'd also take his over props in
this series.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Series long props is over.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
More ghost books is twenty seven and a half, I
believe for points to average out the series, which he's
cleared his last three playoff series and he's now had
He didn't look great coming off that hamstring injury towards
the end of the regular season, but he's now had
a week of rest.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
He's really just been unstoppable in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
Even that sixer series last year when he was shut
down those first two games, he came back and had
three straight forty bowls to finish that series, and he
averaged thirty five that series. So I think over Jalen
Bruns in twenty seven and a half points is along
with under five and a half games are my two
favorite players of this series.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
All Right, I like it.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
I also like what's happening down Staisons Bank Park. Phillies
currently lead three to one. We got some big time
fireworks in the first thing between both teams. Four runs
total scored, still runners on first and third with only
one out and Max Kepler just popped up for the
first out in the inning.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Keep it locked right here with us, we got Julian Edli.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
We're talking about things NBA playoffs, of course, the series
right here, as far as prices are concerned, on draftings, sportsbook,
I want to.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Talk to you about the l A Clippers, Juliana.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Now they have a ton of buzz and everybody's starting
to sell this dream. But I feel like year after
year after year after year where we constantly hear about
the Clippers, there's something different though about this team, right, Like,
and does it all just revolve around health? And Kawhi
looks healthy, his most healthiest he's seemed in quite some time.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Is that the ultimate difference maker for you?

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Are you buying the Clippers hype or are you out
in this first round series? Even money across the board
or minus won ten for both ways in the Nuggets
and Clipper series.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
Yeah, I think it is that, like simple answer, Yes,
that is the difference. Kawhi Leonard's healthy. He has played
a lot more games in every other season. I don't
have the number in front of me. He played what
like thirty something games, thirty seven thirty seven. We didn't
see him until early January. He's played some back to

(23:54):
backs towards the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
He played forty seven minutes at the end of that game.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
That's where I was going. He played for seven mins.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
A playoff caliber game against the Warriors, went for thirty whatever.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
And I like the way the Clippers are playing. They
play defense.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
Jokic is gonna be a problem as he is for everybody,
but I think the Clippers are as equipped as any
team to like, you know, whether the storm of Jokic
he had, he was below his season averages in almost
every statistical category and games against the Clippers this year,
So like, if you can just limit Jokic to like

(24:34):
eighty percent of being the best player on the world.
The pieces Denver's lost over the last couple of seasons,
they are thinner. They you know, they still have Gordon
and Murray, who is off the hamstring injury MPJ, but
like beyond that, and I like Christian Brown, Christian Brown,
but they're thinner, and the Clippers have some depth, they

(24:57):
have some scoring, they have defense, and really, I just
think Kua is in a good place right now. So
is he gonna Are the new things gonna come up
in Game one or two like maybe they always do.
But this year, for the first time in a long time,
I think the last time I bet no, that's not right.
One of the last times I bet the Clippers in
a playoff series, though, was in the bubble against Denver

(25:18):
when they were up three to one and they lost
the series. I think I bet him in a series
against Dallas the next year, which they won in the
first round before batting out, But I like, I haven't
touched the Clippers in a long time.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
That was the last time Kawhi finished a playoff unt healthy, by.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
The way, right, And I'm doing it here. He finished
that Dallas series. They beat Dallas in seven games, I
think it was in twenty twenty one.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
And then they lost to Utah because Kawhi got hurt
at the end of that.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
I got hurt, right, So I'm gonna say that he
can make it through a series. I did bet the Clippers.
It's come down a lot. We opened him plus one
sixty one ten, wow, every other Yeah, every other book,
you're gonna be laying like minus one twenty five With
the Clippers DraftKings set, the pick is still like the
best price in the market. I like them right out

(26:04):
of the gates, So I'll just give you a game
one play. I like the plus two and a half
game one. I played them plus three forty to win
game one and win the series.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
That was early. That was early.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Now it's plus two to forty five on DraftKings, which
I still think is fine. Let's David Adaman, who is
a fine coach. He's coached three games. Yeah, they won
them all, snapped out, he snapped that four game losing streak.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
They won them all.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
One was the coach's fired narrative, and you're playing the Kings,
who stink, so they come out and win that. The
next was a they beat Memphis, but Memphis had gone
all out the night before in a Thursday night game.
And then they beat Memphis on the second night of
a back to back on a Friday night. And then
the last game of the season, they beat Dalla Houston,
who's locked into the two seed. So like every win

(26:49):
they've had so far, of the three wins, you can
give reason to why the other teams shouldn't have been
in a good spot. So now you got a whole
week for reality to set in and become the Nuggets
that the Nuggets have kind of been lately. I think
there's gonna be a big coaching advantage on the Clippers side.

(27:10):
The Nuggets, by the way, haven't even seen Kawhi this season.
He missed all four games against Denver, so Clippers can
game plan for exactly what the Nuggets want to do.
The Nuggets have not seen what the Clippers are going
to come out of the gates with. With Kawhi on
the floor, I think there's a handful of reasons to
like the Clippers.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
So I know it's gotten steamed.

Speaker 6 (27:27):
I know it's one of the more public first round sides,
But Clippers Game one, I think they come out of
the gates on the road and start the series off.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
What do you think about this series to go seven?
Last I saw was a plus two hundred out of
all this series in the first round.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
I think this one's most likely to go seven.

Speaker 6 (27:47):
It should be competitive and it's hard to you know,
the over five and a half games, I think was
initially like minus one sixty.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Let me see what that's at now.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
But it's definitely it should definitely be one of the
more competitive series, and you gotta like that you have
Jokic on your side to extend a little bite. So like,
even if you do like the Clippers, I don't think
it's gonna be in any kind of any kind of landslide.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Why am I not seeing series total games? I was
just on it.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
I do want to bring this up.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
A Julian Edlow special is betting the first game and
winning the series along with backing anything Bama. He loves
to take the first game and that series. So I
do want to point that out for our listening audience.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
It's up to minus two hundred on the over five
and a half. That's Steve.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
But yes, really quick, just a playoff betting tip. If
you're gonna bet a team to a series, you probably
like him. In Game one, it's like, I don't you.
You're gonna have trouble finding more correlated bet than to
win game one on and win the series. And we
get so much more juice on it again because the

(28:54):
Clippers are dogs in game one. We're talking about a
team that on if you go to open up most
sportsbook apps is fa to win the series. On DraftKings,
you're getting plus two forty five to win game one
in the series. Like, if you like them, then then
like them and them.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
I love the approach. You know what else?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
I also like, I've been talking about this a few
times in the past week, the fact that we're calling
the Denver Nuggets new era, the post Malone era.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Sorry, yeah, I dig that. I can't bring that up enough.
All right, we'll get you out here in this one, Julian.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
You're wearing your Patriot I believe it's a sweatshirt.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
It could be a jacket.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
It's a little quarter zip, all right, little quarter.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Zip, a little Manning esque. I like it.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
We got the NFL Draft coming up, sir. I believe
the Patriots are the fourth spot. What are we looking
at right now?

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Are you just gonna be taking what the scraps are
left over from the top three?

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Do you feel like somebody's going to drop? Are they trading?
What are the Pets gonna do?

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Yeah, I'll start off with this.

Speaker 6 (29:52):
I haven't warn much Patriots gear over the last few years.
I bet their win total under every year. I've done
that this year I think I like them over this year.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
But I'm wearing this today.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
I'm going to I'm going to a charity event later tonight,
i'll say, at a local brewery, Vitamin C.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
It's in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
I don't know if there's any New England listeners on here,
but if there are Patriots Draft panel and we're doing
a little DraftKings thing with it and to raise money
for cancer. So if you're a New England listener Vitamin C,
you can buy tickets tonight.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
It all gets donated. Blah blah blah.

Speaker 6 (30:23):
It's gonna be a good time. If you like beer,
if you like the Patriots, go ahead, go to that.
There's gonna be all kinds of beat writers up there
for people to ask questions for about this Patriots draft,
and I think a lot of them are gonna say that, yes,
not only picking from the scraps, but I think the
the good scraps are gonna be gone.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yeah, yep.

Speaker 6 (30:42):
So like it is Cam Wore the best player in
the draft. No, but he's going to the Titans. You
gotta lay like twenty grand to bring back one hundred
bucks on that right now. And you know, I think
it's Hunter and then Carter. But if it's Carter and
then Hunter, whatever, like those are the two bat next
best players in the draft, which leaves the Patriots are

(31:03):
drafting the best player you draft a need or both,
and it's minus two twenty five on DK sportsbook that
it'll be Will Campbell, who I think would be the
obvious pick if his arms weren't like half an inch
too short to be to play tackle. But they are,
and apparently that's a big problem. I don't know if
you want to go like talent, you know, I what
I here's what I wish. I wish the Patriots could

(31:25):
draft Ashton Jens. Yes, I would like the Eagles book
Genty's if if if you're telling me Hunter and Carter
are off the board, gent's.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
The best player are left the draft.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Now.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
The problem is the Patriots can't bring in Genty and
tell them to be Saquon Barkley because they don't have
the line, so it, like you, kind of it kind
of wastes the pick. If you don't have the offensive line,
you can't get that out of them, then it's gonna
be Giants Saquon Barkley, and then he's gonna go somewhere
else where you can win a Super Bowl. So like
in theory, I like that it could help him, but
I don't know if they can get the linemen to

(31:58):
make that work so that that's the best player. I
think they have to unfortunately pass on the best player
because it's a running back. And from everything that I've heard,
and maybe i'll find out more tonight, but it would
most likely be Will Campbell.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
We'll see what happens. He is the offensive tackle. Where's
he out of baile Ls? You excuse me? Sec?

Speaker 6 (32:20):
Yes, he's I mean he's been blocking like you know
SEC edge rushers all year.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Like.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
He's pretty good. He's definitely solid. It's just this arm
length issue, apparently, is a real thing with tackles. If
your arms aren't a certain length, then you don't succeed
in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
So I have never heard this before.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
All Right, we have a thing down here called uh
Scotland we trust, yeah, and Stottland we trust. So whatever
offensive lineman they bring in, they're automatically going to turn
into m size doesn't matter. If Bro they could go
there with no arms man, Scotland's going to make him
an all pro offensive linement.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
It's ridiculous, but he has a truly a secret weapon.
Genty is the story of the draft for my money.
Of course, the top dogs at the top, last one.
Where do you think Shoudor goes.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
Late?

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Late?

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Really?

Speaker 6 (33:10):
I have laid I don't know what our prices on
drafting sportsbook. I did lay like minus two fifty on
over eight and a half.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Wow, Okay, you.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
Know I don't. I don't like to lay minus two fifties.
So that shows you.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Where did you hear something?

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Where am I on that? No? I?

Speaker 6 (33:25):
Well, I like, I mean, I hear something from looking
at the mock drafts and reading the articles of all
the smart people, and like most of them would tell you, uh,
most of them would tell you, well, if it's not
the Giants at three, then he's probably gonna slide. And
all the good Saints beat writers have been saying they're
not going to take a quarterback. The car thing is
either smoke or like they're not interested or whatever.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
So I don't.

Speaker 6 (33:46):
I don't think the Saints go quarterback, and that would
leave him to slide. And so here's the thing, here's
the one thing that I'm doing that I will semi
advise you not to do. Don't bet draft bets based
off your opinion. I don't care who you think is
the better player. This has to be information based. If
your opinion mattered, you'd be in an NFL front office
and then your opinion matters. But like, I don't care

(34:08):
who you think is better. With all due respect, that's
not gonna win anyone to bet. But just reading the
tea leaves here. Can the Giants draft a quarterback at
three after you pay Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. It's
not like both of them were there last year. One
of them was there last year and they sucked and
they have reason to move on. Like, you just paid

(34:30):
two quarterbacks and now you're going to draft one at three.
That seems absurd. Like maybe the Giant Giants are the
most Giants are minus fourteen hundred, the longest, the shortest
shot on the board to miss the playoffs on DK sportsbook.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
They're bad.

Speaker 6 (34:45):
I'm not saying they're a smart team, but to draft
a quarterback after paying two quarterbacks a couple of months
ago seems absurd.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Yeah, I think we're on agreement with you on that one. Well,
good luck on that play laying that number.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
First of all, thank you for back because of Luke
Arcaney joined us before the Phillies game.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
That's number one. Great to have you back up on
the show. How is Vegas? Did you do well? As
far as the March Madis was concerned?

Speaker 4 (35:10):
March Madis was great.

Speaker 6 (35:11):
I'm glad I could come on before and hopefully give
out some some winners, and things went fantastic throughout the tournament.
Now we're onto the NBA playoffs and you need that
to go well because we know I'm not going to
make any money over the summer vent in baseball.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
All right, Julian, great stuff as always. Can't thank you
enough for popping up on here and giving us thirty
five minutes. There great breakdowns across the board.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
Be sure to follow Julian on all things socials, and
of course he's representing the squad over at DraftKings Sportsbook
and you can get all of that content at dknetwork
dot com.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
You can also find Sean Bnard there as well. Julian,
you're the best.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Good luck on those plays and then have some fun tonight,
man raise the money for a great cause there will do.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
Here's some homework for the younger co hosts here. Okay,
go watch Chappelle Show Fearful.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
Okay, Yeah, I'm a huge supel guy, the real deal.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
Wow. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:05):
Maybe you need to find out what fear factor really
is first to appreciate the skit.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
I smoke crack rock Joe Rogan.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
One of the one of the greats.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Yes, you are the best.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
You a great, great hit on the way out, man,
Good luck tonight, and we'll catch up next week.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
Sir, all right, sounds good. Thanks guys.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Mom Man, there he is once again, Julian Ede on
the Gambler stream. Fantastic stuff.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
That one thing I have on my computer. It's on
my iTunes for some odd reason, like I deal with you.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Know, I struggle with electronics. That happens. I'm like the
worst enemy.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Anyways, So when I get on an airplane and I'll
have my computer with me whatever, and it's like all right,
you know, go through iTunes and try to find something
to watch, and I'm like, oh, yeah, that's right, I
have that show on, or I have that movie on.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
I do have two two seasons of Chappelle Show on there.
I've seen show well good, one of the greatest show one.
I've seen later shows ever, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you smoke crack. Yeah,
that's great stuff.

Speaker 5 (37:05):
I've seen his early specials too, like oh yeah, back
in those early two thousands. We do have some other
stuff to get to. Here's the deal, quick time out
the other side. We will come back. We will play
the game reboot roulette. I'm going to name a ninety
show in honor of Sam Ostri not knowing what Fear
Factor was.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
My goodness, there's some wild stuff on that show too. Man,
what do you mean? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, it was
worth watching.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
I mean, like it sounds like I wouldn't say like
age the best, Like I remember, I also was like
a couple of years younger by the time, and I
might appreciate it more now when I'm when my.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Thousand and six, wasn't it I think earlier in that
Fear Factor? Yeah, what did they say when I looked
up to earlier? So you didn't watch it a lot?

Speaker 7 (37:43):
No, No, this was a couple of years after the fact,
like because I think it actually started with Joe Rogan
coming up for whatever reason. My dad was like, yeah,
you know, like what he started, and that kind of
led the conversation but we're talking some pretty extreme two.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Thousand and one first aired in two thousand and one
year I was born. Wow, there I smoke rack Rock
Joe Rogan.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
All right, we'll talk some nineties television shows and see
if Sam and Sean can name those.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Shini also a legend is hanging it up. We'll talk
about who the hell that is. It's about damn time.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
If I could be honest with you as well, because
I tweeted five years ago that he needed to be
wrapping it up.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
But it's official.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
We do have an end of this legendary human being
and all things sports. He's calling it a career coming
up here in the fall. We'll tell you who that is.
