Also, I want to give a shout out because we
have done a ton thanks to the Great Mike Powers
to with the Children's Specialized Hospital in New Jersey. Now
Powers said to me that or sent me an article
this morning that Gabby Gabby is a sixteen year old

(02:01):
girl who ended up dealing with paralysis from a sudden
brain believe at the age of thirteen. If I'm not mistaken,
Gabby was on our airwaves. Gabby's dad was on our airwaves.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
What a tremendous family.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
And of course, as a father and you know a parent,
I'm sure a lot of you were out there.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
With me on this.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
One could never imagine even going through anything like that.
And the Children's Specialized Hospital took unbelievable care of Gabby
and of course her parents and family when she did
have that sickness. But she was able to meet up
with the Jonas brothers Yeah, Tom's Rivertine backstage moment with

(02:44):
the Jonas Brothers that met.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Life last night, and it was last night I met life.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Staying the Jonah's Brothers open their Jonahs twenty greetings from
your hometown tour in Jersey with more than just music.
They made a dream come true for sixteen year old
Gabby Brimm of Tom's River.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
She walked into the stadium lasson on her own two
feet walk backstage to meet her hometown.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Heroes, the Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
The connection runs deeper than celebrity and fan children Specialized Hospitals.
The Jonas brothers hometown Children's Miracle Network Hospital did not
know that, and one brother's own journey with type one
diabetes resonates with the hospitals naturally recognized pediatric diabetes program.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Pretty cool stuff there.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
We tweeted about it, so you can check out a
Fox PHL gamber as well. But shout out to the
folks from Children's Specialized Hospital. A great partnership that powers
has produced and anytime we can get out there and
of course shake hands, meet some of the family and
put a smile on the face of any of the
kids or any of the families have been through things
like that's what.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
It's all about.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
So we've been very privileged to be, you know, in
some of those spots. We did the podathon, did the walk,
helped out with a couple MC and deals and really
good people over there, and we definitely built a strong
partnership over the So shout out to Gabby meeting the
Jonas brothers at a beautiful.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Young age of sixteen.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
You gotta love it, all right, let's keep it moving here, Yeah,
did I give you?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I did the Reasons scents.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
On Monday, man Rita's may see check out Rida's ice
dot com for a location.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Near you and download the app so you can earn
your way the delicious sweet treats.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
All right, you know what's sweet finding out that Landon
Dickerson is not going to be lost for the rest
of this season. Of course, the big news from the
weekend was the fact that Landon Dickerson, Eagles three time
pro bowler guard was hurt in the open practice that
took place yesterday at Lincoln Financial Field. Now, I am

(04:44):
not one of these people that are gonna lose their
money counsel the practice.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
There are plenty of people out there that will say that.
My theory on these things is if it was going.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
To happen, then it was probably gonna happen at some time,
and it did happen yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Here's the latest.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
According to Adam Scheft, it is not a torn ACL.
We can take a sigh of relief, right, we could exhale. Right,
it's not an ACL, so therefore he's not lost for season. However,
I'm not getting the best vibes from this rite up.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I won't lie about that. You know, it seems like
surgery is still on the table. It seems. I'll just
read you what it says.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Eagles Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson has thought to have
suffered a miniscus injury to his right knee. Dickerson is
still getting additional options to determine the next course of
action how long he might be sidelined. All right, so
bread and butter right from the jump. No ACL, great done,
meniscus mcl pcl all that. Anything that's not an ACL

(05:49):
isn't season ending. That I believe easier said for me,
as I am a man sitting on a table and
I'm not a three hundred pound dude.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
It's got a block.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Pro Bowl tackles or Pro Bowl defensive tackles, anything like that.
But what I would say is this seems like if
he has to get surgery, he does it this week,
potentially back.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I don't know, November December, you know.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
And if that's the case, that's an unbelievable deal right
where you're thinking it could have been the worst case,
he's done for the full season. Instead, you're gonna get
him back in the second half of the season, hopefully
not on wood. I am not a doctor that that
is how it plays out. But of course that is
a huge, huge deal because the strength of this team
is the offensive line. The strength of this team is

(06:39):
running the football. Yeah, the crowd of about fifty thousand
shout out to all you Sikos that went down to
see practice. I'm sure it was cool. Though Brett Tot
replaced him. Tot in his sixth season out of Army.
I don't know if that will be the go to,
but in Jeff Stalin, we trust right been able to

(07:00):
make a lot of offensive linment better than what they
really are. But Dickerson was a key for one of
the better offensive lines in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
He was one of five guards who made the Pro
Bowl every year since twenty twenty two. Tells you all
you need to know how valuable he is. And it's
crazy because when they drafted him or he was a
second round pick. That's right, Okay, never mind, I was
thinking about something different there. But still it has played
out so well for him over the years out of Alabama,

(07:33):
huge loss for the time being, But let's just go
ahead and say that he's going to be back.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
And that's a beautiful thing. All right from there.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Oh, by the way, the Eagles next preseason game is
against the Cleveland Browns Ladies and Gentlemen on Saturday, August sixteenth,
also at home. Now that one I might actually be
interested in going to huh interesting?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Might go to that?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Should Door Sanders come on down? The story of the weekend.
Know if An's butts about it, move out of the way,
cam Ward, move out of the way. JJ McCarthy, I'm sorry,
Jackson Dark, Jayleen Milroe, you name m. Travis Hunter, get
out the way. Shou Door Sanders come on down. Fourteen

(08:25):
twenty three, one thirty eight, two touchdowns, nineteen rushing yards,
and he looked calm, cool, and collect him as a
rookie out in a professional setting. For some, not surprised.
For most, I don't think that they had that type
of performance pegged for his first professional start preseason, regular season.

(08:52):
Don't give a damn. It's the NFL. We know what's
been coming out of the Browns. Cam Now, I'm not
gonna sit here and tell you I'm Johnny Brown over here.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I've been reading up in the Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Browns because I haven't and last time I checked, I
think their win total is one of, if not the
lowest in the NFL as far as wind totals are concerned.
I think it was five and a half. So forgive
me if I'm not going too crazy here over anything.

(09:24):
Cleveland Browns four and a half according to Yahoo Sports
four and a half, which was an article that was
pinned on July to seventeenth, so a little bit of
time has passed, but I highly doubt that the over
was coming in on the Cleveland Browns. So the lowest
total in the NFL for this upcoming season.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Was four and a half.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now, allow me to just bloviate about the Cleveland Browns
for just a second year, because there's so many ways
You can look at this first and foremost, Shredor Sanders.
Anybody with a brain knew that he should have been
selected higher. We need to revisit why he wasn't picked higher,
And that's a whole different discussion, because I think we

(10:07):
have to come to the realization that teams weren't comfortable
with the fact that Dion or coaches weren't comfortable with
the fact that Dion could potentially be the replacement. Remember
that was a big talking point last year. I think
that had to be high on some lists. Why am
I going to draft the guy that's gonna eventually you're
going to replace me?

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Right?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Because it does seem sensible for some franchises out there
to make that happen. And therefore you can go ahead
and say, hey, you know, we can make money off
of us. Whatever it may be. That's way down the road.
I don't know, but it's for a different day. Why
he slipped. Why teams passed on Shador Sanders, Because everybody
with a brain knew that he could play the position.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
He had plenty of plays last year.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
At Colorado that made you go that is an NFL
caliber player, That is a guy that can play on Sundays.
That is a professional quarterback play. His numbers were damn good.
They won games like it made no sense that he
dropped to the fifth round. The guy's like Dylan Gabriel,
and I'm careful because a lot of rookies are having.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
You know, good starts right now.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
A lot of points were put up, a lot of
overs were hit over the weekend. I think twelve to
two to the over if I'm not mistaken, or fourteen
to two, fourteen to two to the over. All I
know is Shador Sanders look calm, He looked poised. He
went through progressions, he had touch, he read the defense,

(11:36):
he was prepared, and there were moments where yeah he
was floating a little bit like it was Colorado. But
he's a rookie in his first start. Like, if you
were a team that passed on him, shame on you
because you got caught up in something that you should
not have been thinking about when it comes to drafting players.
You got caught up in the in the nonsense. Shador

(11:58):
Standers stepped out in that field and did not surprise
me one bit. But he made excellent throws, He made
excellent reads. Like there was a lot to like from
that start for Shador Sanders, point blank, that's it.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
In that moment in that game.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Against the Carolina Panthers on Friday, Shardor looked like.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
The real deal. And that's great, that's great. We want that,
We need that.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
The league needs a guy like that, right. We need
some personalities at the quarterback position. We need guys to
change the vibe, and Shudor will do exactly that if
he can play the position now preseason versus regular season,
year one, year, two, year three, whatever it may be.
I still have no idea what the Cleveland Browns were

(12:47):
thinking drafting all those quarterbacks, and I don't know if
they knew, because that owner is crazy. You look what
happened with Deshaun Watson. Give him a boatload of money,
just get him in town, whatever.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
It may be. And here we are.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
They got Dylan Gaber who got hurt. They got Kenny
Pickett who got hurt. They have Joe Flacco who's in there.
They got Deshaun Watson. We don't need to talk about
anybody else that was brought in. They have three total
preseason games. Flacco will be the starting quarterback Week one,
regardless of what Shadoor Sanders does in these.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Next two preseason games.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
If he plays it the next two, he's probably gonna
play the next one, of course against the Eagles. No
idea after you would like to believe that Kenny Pickett
and Dylan Gabriel got to get out in the field
and show a little something for potentially trade targets as well.
Don't know if that's feasible, but they drafted Dylan Gabriel
higher than Shador Sanders, So in my mind, I'm thinking

(13:40):
that if Dylan Gabriel is healthy, he's gonna get pt
versus Shadoor Sanders. In that game on Friday, he probably
would have got the start, but it wasn't the case.
Chador went out there and made the most of that opportunity.
And something that we talked a lot about last week
when the people were saying that he's being set up
to fail and it was just such an idiot I
take by idiots out there and it was ridiculous, But

(14:01):
it was even just as ridiculous, if if not worse,
letting him slide to the fifth roalm. And there's teams
out there that knee quarterbacks. That's a premium position year in,
year out, and you let a guy that could be
a solid starter in this league, somebody that looks like
they can play the position. And we've seen a million

(14:22):
to one rookie quarterback step out in the field and
not have the debut as Shador Sanders did again preseason
Game one. That's fine, but I have confidence that that
was in a fluke. I have confidence that Shador Sanders
will be a starting quarterback in this league. But the
question now turns into the Cleveland Browns, and I'm just

(14:43):
guessing because I don't even know.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
You know, they're gonna have a good defense. They got Miles.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Garrett over there, who's a terrorizer offensively. Like I said
four and a half, they like, what are we doing?
So week one? You can't just throw Shador in there.
You brought in Joe Flacco for a reason. If he's healthy,
you start Flacco just because you lose the first two
games doesn't mean the season's over one and two. Like
Shador Sanders starting doesn't mean you're gonna win those games.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Those fans probably don't want to hear it, but the
reality of the situation is you brought in Flacco for
a reason. You start him Week one, if healthy, because
you know what you're going to get from Joe Flacco
from there. Your guess is as good as mine. I
don't know, but I think it would be easier to
go to a Shador. It would put him in a
better spot if you go to Shador after Flacco struggles

(15:34):
or Flacco gets hurt. Flacco's not playing a full season
without getting hurt.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
We know that.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Hell, he's not playing a full season without getting pulled.
So I don't know what happens with Dylan Gabriel. I
don't know if it was a good pick. Bow Knicks
was a good pick. I didn't think bow Knicks was
gonna be a good quarterback. JJ McCarthy looked good.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
I didn't think.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
JJ McCarthy was gonna be a good quarterback at the
professional level.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Like these are the things we need to see and.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Learn and watch with our own eyes take place. I
I am. We're all just guessing, just like the Phillies
all it's gonna be like last year. We're all guessing
at this point in time. But I came away super
impressed by Shador Sanders, and you know what, happy pull
it for the kid. I'm excited. But then it like
irks me to the point that like, wait a minute,

(16:22):
Like we're treating this kid like he oh, he's a nobody. No,
Chador was a damn good quarterback at Colorado. He busted
on the scene in a big way and delivered and
they weren't supposed to be good and they were because
of him and his and Travis Hunter. Are there things
that are going to rub you the wrong way when

(16:42):
you see it, like his brother walking around with the
camera and documenting everything. You know, it's a new day,
And I'm curious whether or not that was something that
was involved as far as draft day was concerned, Like, Hey,
if you're gonna draft me, this is what I plan
on bringing to the table. Like, I don't know. I'm
not opposed to it, I'm not against it, but you

(17:03):
can't tell me that having his brother following him around
with a camera isn't something that we see often in
the NFL. Again, Chador is a different cat the Dion's kids.
It's prime time, you know, times ten. We know what
Dion was and now things have changed so drastically that

(17:26):
the things that Dion were doing back in the day
are like nothing compared to these kids these days. Every
kid's got a document, every kid's got the end. Every
kid's making money here, Like you know, go down the list.
He's got his own little celebration with the watch up. Like,
Chador is a solid player and I don't think any
of the other stuff is going to take him off

(17:47):
his game, because that's just who he's been from day one.
But you can't tell me that it does not come
off a little bit different. And is it something that
I care about? No, I don't care. If the team
approves of it and it's good content, then bring it.
It's very intriguing from where we're at with Shador that

(18:08):
if he can play that position and play it well
and galvanize that locker room and to the point that
they're all walking in and listening to his music, I
feel like that's a pretty cool scene. Now again, zero
expectations for the Cleveland Browns zero.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
But will they be good? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Will they make the playoffs with Shador starting seventeen games?
I don't know, But I am definitely intrigued by the
game too, coming up on Saturday versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
All Right, Jackson Dart played well though twelve and nineteen
one fifty four to one touchdown a couple rushing as well.
Gotta give him credit. He looks like he could play
the position again the Giants. Defensively, Abdull Carter was a

(18:52):
maniac living in the backfield. He is going to be tough,
so fast, quick, first step in the bend, getting around
those tackles.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Again.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
He only played the limited snaps, but you could tell
he is the real damn deal. Defensively, I told you
I thought the Giants are gonna be better improved this
year on that side of the ball. It's looking like
that that's going to be the case now. Offensively, don't
know what's gonna happen with the quarterbacks. I don't think
that you're gonna see Jackson's Dart play any time soon
this season. But you know, with Russell and Jamis, and

(19:23):
Jamis has been playing well supposedly, Russell has been doing okay.
I think that those guys will get their numbers call
before Jackson Dart.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
We'll see what happens. There.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Another quarterback that is getting opportunities, not a rookie, but
Jalen Milroll out in Seattle looked really good six to
ten sixty one rushing, definitely looked like he could potentially
be a guy out there. Now, I know he's not
the starter, but watch out and cam Ward looked pretty
good as well. So there was some good rookie play
over the weekend. A lot of fun to have NFL

(19:52):
back in our lives, Football back in our lives, point blank,
end of story. All Right, Finally, I want to wrap
up with this. The UFC ain't an unbelievable deal signing
with Paramount seven years, seven point seven billion dollars. They
have the rights to all things UFC. Paramount and USC

(20:13):
are teaming up and here's the deal, no more pay
per view. Wow, that is an unbelievable deal for everybody
out there that is a UFC fan. I am a
UFC fan. I would love to see them do away
with the Republican Convention. Every time I tune in. I
don't think it's going to go anywhere with the fact
that they're playing on doing a show from the White

(20:33):
House in twenty twenty six, whatever, It's.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
The world we live in.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Cool, but I just hated the fact that I would
be tuning in and it was like literally politicians out there.
I could live with the dude being a front and center.
He's a big fight fan, has been his whole time.
But come on, man, when we got the head of
the FBI, the Suns, the speaker of the house, this guy,

(20:57):
you know, the secretary, Like, come on, dude, talker Carls,
I just want to watch the fights. And I would
say the same damn thing if I tuned in to
an NBA game and next thing you know, they got
MSNBC out there. I just want to watch scoops. Anyways,
off my high horse here. I would just say it

(21:20):
is a big deal. Seven years, seven point seven billion,
unbelievable to get that, and again, no more pay per
view now if we can get these main events to
start before midnight, two thumbs up, Dana White.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Nice work there, all.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Right, Daily ticket rolling on here coming up at five o'clock.
You're gonna get picks and roll Sham Bernard and Sam Austria.
I'll be back in studio tomorrow, full week of shows.
