Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to The Daily Ticket with Sean Brakes on
Fox Sports Radio. The Gambling. Yes, the action starts here.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
A lots going on, A lot to get to five
o'clock hour coming up, we'll get over to some college
football conversation. The Irish seven point favorites against Texas A
and M. That is a big, big game for Notre
Dame and quite frankly, maybe the toughest opening schedule for
anybody out there in college football.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Notre Dame Florida would like a word.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Miami in Miami and Boys A and M Boise State. Oh,
come on, he was terrible.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
That's three straight ranked you know, I'm just saying.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I'll give the edge to Notre Dame, Texas A and
M got a good quarterback. Got good quarterback. Now all right,
let's go ahead and shift gears and get over to
the world of soccer, the beautiful game of soccer. I
saw Ray Hudson is retiring. Did you see that, Larry?
Speaker 4 (01:05):
I did?
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I did.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Yeah, I was pretty shocked by that. Ray Hudson's had
a very memorable career and I didn't know he was
seventy years old either.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
He follows me, how about that?
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Me?
Speaker 2 (01:18):
And Ray Rays a tremendous announcer in the world of soccer,
and he hung it up officially today, so that was
out of nowhere. Hopefully his health is all good. But
that's definitely a voice that I know when I hear.
Let's put it that way. Larry Henry joined Junior joining
us right now to talk about the beautiful game of soccer.
Chan bre schan Benard, Larry, what is going on with
(01:39):
the US men's national team. Let's just start there. They
got a game this evening taken on Japan. They have
lost multiple games in a row here. I thought we
were supposed to be like flipping the script, getting a
new coach in here, and everything was going to be
moving in a positive direction for twenty twenty six when
we host the World Cup. A ticket that the United
(02:01):
States of America will win the World Cup next year?
Should I rip it up right now? Larry?
Speaker 4 (02:07):
You should? I think you should definitely rip it up.
Oh no, he be your money back. Yeah, it's it's
a mess right now for the US men's national team.
We thought that hiring Ricio Pozetino would be such an
exciting signing right probably the biggest coaching signing for the
program in the history, and it's really been anything but that.
(02:28):
He's coached sixteen, yeah, seventeen matches now and he's only
won nine. He's lost seven. The program overall has lost
six games this calendar year, which is only the fourth
time ever that that's happened. They have not won in
any of their last eight matches against teams ranked in
the top twenty five in FIFA. I could go on
(02:51):
and on. It's not looking good right now. I know
they had a good run at the Gold Cup with
a lot of B rated players, maybe C rated players,
but yeah, losing the South Korea definitely was just another
kind of another issue for Pachatina to deal with, and
I think too now a lot of his press conferences,
I'm sure you've seen a lot of the quotes that
(03:12):
have been floating around with him kind of maybe challenging
the fan base a little bit, telling them kind of
relax and it's not all about the results right now.
It is about the results. Do you want to go
into the World Cup losing what ten twelve matches in
a row? Because I don't, and I don't think the
players do either. So tonight it's a big one against Japan,
(03:33):
another team ranked in the top twenty five. I hoping
they get it turned around. They have a lot more
matches scheduled later this year against good teams and then
reportedly some bigger opponents coming up next March, with the
likes of Portugal and Belgium reportedly on the cards. But
they have to get it going and that starts tonight
in Columbus against Japan.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, and they're underdogs here. We went over those numbers already,
which is just ridiculous. They're ahead of them in the rankings.
So what is your read on tonight? Do you expect
him to come out there and play with a little
bit more of emphasis and try and figure this out
and you know, get a victory this evening.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
I like them to get the victory tonight. I know
Japan's a tough team, but overall, you need you need
something to go right. You need a spark, whether that's
a couple different players in the starting lineup against South Korea.
They weren't bad in the second half. They actually improved
in the second half, but they were down to nothing
by that point. So South Korea could kind of, you know,
(04:33):
just defend heavy and you know, we saw the South
Korean goalkeeper make a lot of really good saves down
the stretch. I'm hoping Papatinho changes it up with the
starting lineup. Maybe Faleran Balligan in the starting lineup, just
because he's you know, he came off the bench. He
looked very lively against South Korea. You know, Christian Polisic,
(04:53):
we haven't seen too much from him as of late
with the national team. I'm wondering if he maybe gets
a rest just because it's the start, really is still
the start of the European season. I think Tristan Blackman
comes out, Chris Richards goes into the starting lineup, maybe
Damien Downs comes in as well. But overall, they have
to get something going. I think it starts defensively. They
(05:15):
have to play a lot better defensively. South Korea beat
them pretty easily on both of the goals, and you
can play good defensively. I think that'll just lead to
some counter attacks and maybe some more confidence in possession.
And yeah, so hopefully a lot of changes tonight in
the lineup, and I'm sure the fans are saying the
same thing.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I just wonder as far as the heart for this team,
and you look at a guy like Christian Polo is
sick and you know, look he took time off, and
you know he's got a tough schedule and I'm not
going to crush him over that, but it's go time
and I'm not hearing from him. And of course, you know,
the play on the field isn't good enough right now,
and I think it starts and ends there no doubt.
(05:56):
But he is obviously the captain, He is the leader
of this squad. So this is a time that we
need to hear more from Christan Pulisic correct one.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
I mean, obviously he faced a lot of criticism over
the summer about his decision to get some rest to
not be part of the Gold Cup. I know he
wanted to be part of the friendlies. But you know,
no matter who you are, whether you're the number one
player on the on the list or the last player
in the list, you don't get to really pick and
choose when you show up and where you show up.
(06:27):
So I think that the program ultimately Potatina did the
right thing by leaving him out over the summer. Now
he's you know, back with ac Milan, He's scoring a
couple of goals to the season, which is great, but
we need to see more from him on the national
team level because too, Pozatino has made it pretty clear
it doesn't matter if you play for the biggest leagues
(06:47):
in Europe in the biggest competitions or if you play
in MLS. If you're playing at a high level and
playing well, you're going to get an opportunity. So I
don't think Christian Polisics job right now is particularly safe
in terms of being a lockdown starter for this team.
And two, I don't know how much longer he'll be
the captain of this team, just because we've seen other
guys kind of step up in the last couple of months,
(07:08):
Tyler Adams, Chris Richards just to to name, and maybe
that kind of lights a fire under Christian Polistic too,
because you still have about nine months until the World
Cup gets underway, but things have to happen. They got
to get some results going. You definitely want to get
into the World Cup on really good form and with
your best players, and again, hopefully we see that over
(07:30):
the next couple of months. Starting tonight.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, I think Tyler Adams was the captain right and
then did Christian take that from him. Did I get
that correct? Or is Tyler still the main guy?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
I believe Tyler was the guy during the Gold Cup.
I'm pretty sure Christian Polistic has it back now. It
seems like that's kind of alternated between who is healthy
and available. But yeah, Adams was over the summer, and
I've heard a lot of fans and colleagues day that
Chris Richards should get a nod as well, the defender.
He's had a really good rise to being I think
(08:01):
the number one center back for the program.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I see Calvin Sullivan who's tweeting out, you know something
about the noise? I love it, Calvin Sullivan. What's going
on with Calvin Sullivan at the national level area?
Speaker 4 (08:15):
So, Calvin Sullivan was on US youth national team duty
over this window as well, and particularly I didn't really
watch the match. It's hard to watch some of them,
but reportedly there was an incident between him and Matthis Albert,
who is another thriving prospect at the youth national team level,
(08:36):
plays for Barusia Dortmund in Germany, and supposedly some some
punches were thrown in in training and I believe to
the US got pretty beat, pretty bad by the Netherlands.
I think it was like eight to one or eight
the two or something like that. Again, I didn't see
the match fully, but yeah, and it seemed like a
(08:59):
lot of a lot of fans on Twitter we're a
little worried about Calvin Sullivan and his kind of you know,
sportsmanship and everything. But get the member. This kid's fifteen.
He's fifteen. He's not at the senior national team level yet,
he's not even really a consistent starter with the union. Yeah,
he's got big you know. Again, he's got a lot
(09:21):
of pressure on him right now, and there's gonna be
instances and sometimes as a player, I mean we've seen
it in sports, Teammates get a little into each other's faces,
have a little you know, fight or scuffle, and sometimes
that brings out the best in the player. So I
don't really have any issue with it. And I'm glad
that Calvin Sullivan went on Instagram and kind of said
(09:44):
the correct story. It's about just noise. It's just noise.
Just move forward and keep at it because he's got
a bright future ahead of him.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
You're damn right at us. We've got Larry Henry Junior
joining us talking out things the world of soccer right now.
All right, US men's national team officially leaking oil. It's
a broken down car right now on the side of
seventy six. Essentially, let's talk about the maserati, though, Let's
talk about the Philadelphia Union. What's the latest with the Union?
Where are we at in your mind? Like, if somebody
(10:14):
approached you and said, I think this is the year
that they win it all, Larry, and this is a
time to take a shot at the Union eight to
one to win the MLS Cup. Unbelievable year it's been,
but you gotta finish strong. And I got a couple
of matches year and then you got the postseason. What
would you say to somebody if they asked you whether
or not they should be placing a wager in the
(10:34):
Union to win it all.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
I like that, bet, I'm not sure I would say
that I like this team overall better than the one
that lost an MLS Cup to LAFC. That team, I mean,
you know too, Sewn, that team was just following and
all still winders on offense, on defense, all the attacking
power Andre Blake, the guys off the bench, the young
guys this team has had a really good season, a
(10:58):
really good bounce back seat, and under Bradley Carnell, I'm wondering,
you know, how things would go in the postseason just
because you've had a really dominant season, You've been really
good at home defensively, they've been I think the best
team in MLS for for what it's been. But then
playoff time, you know, one match and you know, you say,
you play your worst soccer that day and you could
(11:20):
be out. So that that's the beauty I think sometimes
of MLS where you have there's just one game playoffs
and it's you know, do or die. I do like
that bet though, I do think the Union are going
to make a run at it. I'm not sure who
in the East, you know, maybe kind of competes with them.
I know Cincinnati is still kind of right behind them,
but the Union did pick up a big win at
(11:41):
Cincinnati before the international break, which puts them in a
really good spot to potentially lift the supporter shield. It's
really you know, down to them in San Diego. When
you look at it, they're a pointed ahead of San
Diego right now. Both teams have pretty same schedules in
terms of the amount of current playoff teams that they're
going to be facing over the last five matches, plus
you Tawson, the fact that the Union have the Open
(12:03):
Cup semi final against Nashville c next week and potentially
a final in that competition as well, So that's a
couple more added matches. But overall, I think the Union
have done a great job again. I think getting back
to playing good defensive soccer was important. They've done that
so far. They're letting up zero point nine goals per game,
(12:23):
which is awesome, and I think you know too, the
scoring has just been back to what we've we've seen
in the past, even under Jim Curtin.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
So good.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Good to see the Union back at it. Another big
game this weekend against Vancouver, who are in the top
three in the Western Conference.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah. Union have been doing really well and of course
just keeping the foot on the gas pedal with that
big victory over Cincinnati. A lot of eyes on that game, rightfully,
so with the teams one and two in the East.
I did want to bring up this. I meant to
bring it up the fact that US men's national team
will be playing a friendly in Philly in November.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Larry.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
That's going to be a pretty good spot. I went
to the last one in two on eighteen. I'm sure
you were there as well. But I will say this,
that's you don't get your act together, You're gonna hear it.
People are gonna bow you here in Philly. It's a
five o'clock kick. What do we know about that game?
Who are they taking on.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Right now? They're gonna be taking on Paraguay. I believe
in that friendly in November. It's actually, you know, good
to see the national team coming back to the Philly area.
We haven't seen them, like you said, in a long while.
I'm pretty sure I think I was at that game
like you said. It was against Bolivia, yep, I think
Memorial Day weekend or fourth of July weekend. It was
(13:35):
one of them and a lot of guys that are
currently in the squad who got you know, their first
second third caps at that time. Josh Sargent, Timmy Weya,
I remember. So. Yeah. Like I said earlier, the schedule
doesn't get really any easier for the national team. You know,
over the next couple of months. They have Japan tonight.
(13:55):
You know, they have some matches already scheduled in October
against Ecuador and Australia, two other teams in the top thirty,
and then November now they have Uruguay and Paraguay in
those matches as well. So it looks like they're going
to be getting a dose of all the different kind
of federations here leading up to the World Cup, which
is what you want because you never know who you're
going to see come group stage time in that competition.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Well, I'll be trying to make that game. I'm sure
you'll be up there as well. It's going to be
a little crazy. I think tickets are going on sale
on Thursday at ten am, so good luck to everybody
trying to get a ticket. But that is a fantastic
venue to catch the US men's national team and it'd
be a lot of fun to get up there, regardless
of how poor they're playing at this point in time.
Maybe they can right their wrongs over the next couple weeks,
(14:42):
specifically tonight against Japan. Larry Hevery Junior joining US. Got
to get a conversation going about the EPL. We got
a big one, got a game on Sunday, Man you
Man City, Let's go the Darby as they say, what's
going on with City. That's the like the United's got
a ton of issues. They haven't been good in years,
(15:05):
but City falling off the way that they have have.
They looked a little bit better this year. Where you're
at right now.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Yeah, I wouldn't say they've looked better. They had a
really good opening weekend. They played a team in Wolves
who I think will be among the favorites to be
in the relegation fight by end of season. They put
four goals past Wolves on that day, but since then
they lost to nothing at whom to Tottenham. Some defensive
errors really cost them in that one, and then kind
(15:33):
of similar against Brighton before the international break. They were
up one nothing Earling Holland scored in the first half,
kind of similar story, and then the second half they
give up a penalty kick for the equalizer and then
I think it was like the second to last free
kick of the match or corner kick Brighton's able to
score from. So defensively it's not been good for man
(15:54):
City at least over the last sixteen to twenty months.
They have to get it going defensively. I know they
just brought in uh John Luigi Donna Ruma, the goalkeeper
from the Italian national team and uh psg uh he
will be competing for the number one job in between
the posts. But uh and I mean injuries haven't helped.
They haven't had a lot of people healthy since the
(16:16):
Club World Cup. Phil Foden has been out. Omar Marmouge
just suffered an injury today on international duty. But this
is one of the deepest squads in England, let alone Europe,
so it should be you know, next man up mentality.
I think, you know, Manchester United could really get something
from this this weekend there they were able to pick
up a result before the international break. They're getting those
(16:40):
key guys kind of in flow, Brian and Moomo, you know,
Bruno Fernandez, Matteas Kunya. The list goes on and and
United I think won't be favored in this, which they'll
be okay with because they've done that in the past
where they've able to go to man City and and
got a result, so it'll be a good one. The
(17:00):
schedule doesn't get any easier for man City because then
they open up with Champions League play and then they
have Arsenal away, which the last time they played Arsenal
a Way they lost five to one, so man City
could definitely see themselves out of the title race by Christmas.
I think if they don't get their act together. Yes,
(17:21):
you can hear the aggression in my voice because I'm
not used to this.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
So that's the you know, the different world that you're
in where you're competing for titles and you got pep
and everything is great, and of course Holland, and then
you're over there at Manchester United where I'm at, where
I didn't even know. I've never heard of the team
they lost to, and and what the caras be? Yeah,
they've never even heard of them, Like, who the hell
(17:44):
is this? And they lose that game. I'm watching it,
but you're right, last time out they did look a
little bit better. It's just so frustrating because it's a
whole new deal and yet the same old song and
dance like all new players, new coach everything. It's a
new season. And then to open up with a one
nothing lost to Arsenal, and then the way that they
(18:07):
played in that draw and then of course losing in
that what was it the Cariboo Cup? Is that how
you say Caribou?
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Yeah, Carabell Cup or EFL Cup, whatever you want to
call it.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, yeah, just more of the same. But that's all right.
I'm still watching, I'm repping, I'm singing, I'm fighting, Larry,
I believe in manchion. No not, I wouldn't go that far,
but it's fun anyways. US men's national team now all
eyes on them, Larry. Henry Junior says, tonight take the
plus money with the Red, White and Blue. We're winning if.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
They win the night, which I think they will. Maybe
even keep that betting slip shut. Don't rip it up
just yet. I know you threw it on the floor
before we started.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, the World Cup, we'll see. We're still hosting it,
and I'm trying to get to a game. I will
see if that's gonna be possible. How many games are
you gonna make? What's your plan of a act for
the World Cup next year? There?
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Yeah, I mean, I'm hoping to be at all the
Philly games. You know, talks are good right now with
the Athletic to be part of that coverage again. So
it'll be exciting to get down to all six matches,
which I think the last matches fourth of July, which
would be a pretty pretty cool event with the you know,
was it bi centennial. Yeah, for for the country, so yeah,
(19:25):
it'll be exciting and then hopefully gets the national team
coverage in as well. So uh yeah, the schedule is
nice and open for World Cup coverage and excited that
Philly could be a part of the hosting again. I
just got the numbers from the Club World Cup too.
It was like two point nine billion people tuned into
the Club world geez, which I think that you know Philly.
(19:47):
I was at all the matches, all eight matches in Philly,
and like I told you in the past, like the
atmospheres were awesome, the crowds were good. I didn't see
any fighting or anything. Like you went to.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
All eight games down there, you out with the traffic
in all eight games.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Well you have to remember too, when you know you
get out of there and the mix mix zone and everything.
A lot of the traffics but gone by that gotcha.
The nine pm kickoffs, as much as people hated them,
it was great, you know driving home one Yeah, that's
all the time. Ninety five is empty.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
God bless you see. He's a he's a big j
that's what he is. Sean Benard, that's Larry Henry Jr.
L Henry zero one nine. He also has a sub
stack covering the Philadelphia Eagles in the Bird's Nest. Larry
as a diehard Philadelphia Eagle fan and he covers the Birds.
(20:40):
As I said, subscribe to that substack. Uh. Your big
takeaway from the Cowboys game though, Larry, because obviously they won,
but a lot of people were like, you know, it's
not enough. But you know, my thought was, did you
look did you watch the league? Did you see how
everybody else operated? Putting the Buffalo Bills and the Ravens
and the Packers to the side. Everybody had flaws, everybody
(21:02):
struggled at some time. A win is a win, and
that was a pretty big win over the Cowboys as
far as the division is concerned. Your big takeaway from
the game was what though?
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah, I mean, they didn't play there. They didn't play
their best game. Usually teams never do in Week one.
Like you said, it's all about, you know, the long
haul of the season. They were very fortunate that Ceedee
Lamb dropped a couple of key passes and Miles Sanders
had that fumble down near the end zone. Uh, maybe
if that happens, it's we're talking a little bit differently.
(21:32):
But overall, I thought they played a good game, not
a great game. You know, losing Jalen Carter uh before
the first defensive snap kind of hurts, you know. Dak
Prescott even said it kind of changed their whole blocking
scheme for the Cowboys. Uh and rightfully so. Jalen Carter
is a beast and and you know, a game wrecker
on the d line. Jalen hurts. I thought played a
(21:53):
good game. It was a little you know, a little
worrying that Aj Brown had to wait till the last
offensive series to get a cat, to get a target.
I think that changes this week against Kansas City. I
think things will be kind of firing. The team will
be up for that one for sure. Kansas City's in
a little bit of an unknown position, sitting at zero
to one. But you know, I think it's gonna be
(22:14):
a really good game. I like the Eagles to win
on the road in Kansas City. I like them to cover,
and overall, I think it's gonna be you know, back
to business this weekend. You're gonna see a lot of
guys catch the ball, a lot of hands on you know,
on the ball, a lot of spreading it around for sure,
offensively and defensively. You know, we'll see what happens. I
(22:35):
think overall, a lot of guys played well. They didn't
sack Dak Prescott, but I think they have to get
to Patrick Mahomes if they want to avoid any type
of defeat on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Yeah, if Gael and Carter plays, things will be definitely different,
that's for sure. El Henry zero one nine is where
you can find Larry in the bird's nest. That's his
Eagles coverage for the sub stack. But my man knows
the beautiful game of football, soccer. Great stuff across the board.
I will definitely be paying attention to the US men's
national team. It will have a screen, and the Phillies
(23:08):
and Mets will have a screen as well. Larry, you're
the best. We'll catch up later. Always great to catch
up with you, sir. Good look on all those plays
and great coverage as always, and we'll touch base next week, sir.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Thanks a lot, guys, have a good rest of the day,
and yeah, go Birds, go us MNT.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
My man Harry is Larry Ray Jonar all eight games.
Shan Minard, you couldn't pay me to go to all
eight games and deal with that traffic and madness. I
am so old these days, dude. I am such an
old man that like going to that. It happened on Thursday.
(23:46):
I was literally driving down and just like chills in
my spine that I'm like, oh, I'm driving to this
jungle a parking lot, just madness. And you'd like, helicopter's,
a bus, people everywhere, everywhere, sixty dollars the park. I'm
just like, you gotta be kidding me. What is going
(24:07):
on right now? Get me out here. But that's all right,
and we are in the middle of it all, and
you know, then I get to the Green Legion tailgate
and I'm like, oh, that's why I'm here, because it
is phenomenal. It's a great experience. It's the best of
the best, and you're right next to the stadium. But man,
just getting there and getting out, it's it's brutal.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
I waited a nice our twenty minutes in line to
get there.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Yeah, you were there, you were there, you texted me.
I'm like, nah, dude, I I.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Was hoping for the save in mind for quite a
bit of time there. But we got in, We got it,
and we got in before kickoffs.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Oh man, you waited in line for how long?
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Over an hour?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Hour?
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Twenty?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
I probably guess it was not not my ideal way
to spend my time. And we'll say, whose idea was
it to do that, Maggie, I was a fiance.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Request.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Was we go to State Side Live for the home opener? Correct?
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Now did you meet people there? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (24:59):
We two of our friends were there, so my my
buddy and his girlfriend as well.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
So you got a million one bars. Oh by the way,
they were all packed. And you guys say, let's go
to State Side Live knowing how chaotic it's going to be.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
Yeah, I mean the chaos is part of the fun,
like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Like it is.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
I will say I do enjoy watching a game in there,
like when you get to sound oh that like so
I get it.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
And if that's a request, if that's a request, that
that'll make her happy a little bit.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
I don't take that one there, you know.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah, And again you know I'm coming off as an
old man, because I am old when I was twenty plus,
Like a beef went to mcgillan's the other day and
I go, dude, I haven't said let's go to this
city in a decade, like I haven't. I used to
do it all the time. You should be like, yo,
let's go to the city. You want to go Fairmount,
you want to do this, Let's go to like whatever. Sure,
but not just no, it doesn't happen like that anymore.
(25:52):
I guess kids and being married will do that to you.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
By the way, you should have seen the mass confusion
when Jalen Carter was ejected, just a wave of what
did he do?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
What just happened? Every Yeah, for sure, I was home
on my couch going he didn't just get thrown out.
I left state side, drove, was supposed to meet up
with a buddy, and then all of a sudden he
starts bailing on me due to like some work stuff.
And I'm like whatever, So I go to one I'm
by myself. I go to one bar packed, not a
(26:21):
seat right, and I know it's like an hour, it's
forty five minutes before kickoff, Like okay, it's Thursday. It
was raining, so I thought that would play into my favor.
Speaker 5 (26:29):
It was not fun standing in line for that, by
the way, you stood in the rain. Yeah, it wasn't awful.
Awful with Dodge most of it, but it was fitting.
Yeah not, it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Anyways. And so I try one bar and there wasn't
a seat. And then I went to PJS and Kanchi
and literally same thing. Not a seat, not a I'm
just like, I'm going home. So I went to Wahwa,
I got a meetball HOGI and I went home and
watched the game. You know, look, my daughter's going to bed.
And as a as a parent, when you get that
opportunity to get out of the house like a lot
(26:59):
like this week were a Penn State, I'm getting the
opportunity to be out of the house, so I'm taking
full advantage of that. I couldn't do it for the
Eagles game. I had to go home because there was
no place to go. Why maybe I should have stayed
at State Side.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Yeah, and Nazi wasn't like crazy crazy in there, like
I expected it to be Leaven a little bit more
packed and ended up being the case.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
So overall, watching the game was fun. I left because
it started raining. Well you saw it, and I'm like, whoa.
Jeff Moore pulls up his doppler. He's like dude, I'm like,
oh man, it's going to rain the night, no way,
and I'm like, I'm just getting out of here. But
if it wasn't raining, it was sunny, I probably would
have stayed there and watched.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Yeah, no, that's fair.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
So yeah, you know, one to zero in the books,
the Expinity or the State Side trip was still worth it.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
I watched the double doink at State Side. That's one
of my favorite State Side Infinity live memories.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
I watched the Jalen come back against the Bills at
State Side. Actually, I STI will not forget that one.
I think I was in the stadium for that. Well, yeah,
I was there for that, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Daily Ticket rolling out here five o'clock hour, a little
late for a break, but that's all right because coming
up we're gonna talk some college football. We got some
bangers Vandy, South Carolina A and M Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, Oh,
Temple Oklahoma. Does that get y'all hot and bothered?
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Ow's got some juice right now?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah? They do. And that's a big, big spread. Also,
Penn State watch out taking on Villanova. Ooh, nobody's giving
them a chance? What do you think that number is
gonna be shown?
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Forty two.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
I'll take the over. It's the daily ticket. Hey, here's
the bottom line. I know that coach Ferrante is gonna
have that team believing. It's gonna have that team ready
