Speaker 1 (00:00):
You get a wager on it.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
We're talking about it. It's the Gambler.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
It is a midweek daily ticket coming your way, a
Wednesday shop race. Mark Hemery Junior joining us for this
a voyage this afternoon.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Look. Bottom line is the NBA's.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Returning after the All Star Game for college hoops front
and center. But for a lot of people out there
maybe lacking in that category. But this is a great
place to start refreshing everything as far as what you've
been paying attention to and starting to pay attention to
a little bit more of the teams of substance.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
We do have some pretty good games tonight, a really
good game between.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Alabama and Missouri, and Mark has dialed in better than
most on all of those topics, all of those leagues.
So a lot to get to with our good friend
Mark here Junior Live every Saturday eleven to one pm,
not one am pm on the Gamble, a tough cover
radio show.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Mark, How we doing today, sir?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Doing great?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Ready to kind of kick the gear into full on
draft and March madness mood. At this point, I'm full,
full focus on that doing my team needs and it's
not even free agency. I got I gotta calm down
in the draft. But we were talking about it in
the chat. This stuff comes sooner when your team wins
the Super Bowl, everything the combines coming.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Everything feels like it's happening faster this year.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, it is, and it's the reality of what's taking
place with everything.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
College football took a little bit longer in all of
our minds.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I think, maybe not specifically as far as the date,
maybe a week later than usual, but still the fact
that we had those big time games a week after
week after week leading up, and that felt like it
took a little bit longer than normal. Of course, as
you just pointed out, winning a Super Bowl, Yeah, snapping
the fingers, all of a sudden, we got five games left,
four games left in the college basketball regular season.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's crazy. It's absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
As Look, we'll be talking a ton about college hoops
here today, but speaking of college football, if I could,
I believe today they are meeting Mark Henry Junior.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I don't think anybody would be surprised with us.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
But according to Yahoo's Sports, the SEC and Big Ten
athletic directors will meet today New Orleans to discuss a
plan to expand the college Football Playoff to fourteen to
sixteen teams and assign a multiple qualifiers per league, with
as many four each for themselves. This is according to
Yahoo's Sports Excuse Me, Ross Dellinger. Look, there's nothing that's

(02:31):
written that we haven't discussed, that we haven't known that
would be something that's on the table. Is there one
in the college football playoff that you absolutely must have?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Is it a receding? Is it home games out?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
What is it from last year's first time rolling up
the twelve team playoff into the next change that they
will be making.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
What's one absolute you need to have in a new deal.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
It's hard to say when going from twelve to fourteen
to sixteen, because it's hard if it's sixteen or there
no buys. It's just like a March Madness one sixteen
style thing where the I guess it says.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
It says the fourteen team being described as a four
four two two one plus one model, which would give
four automatic qualifiers each is a Big ten in the
SEC and two each to the ACC and Big twelve.
The highest rank group of five team would would get
the last automatic berth. Then it says there would be
one at large spot or three.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
If the four met.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Expands the sixteen teams that would automatically go to Notre
Dame if they finish ranked inside the top fourteen.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yeah, well, I guess the question if it's sixteen is
is their buys considered in that not just the auto qualifiers,
but are how are they doing the bracket? I guess
because that's the big question is are we still giving
buys the conference champions or kind of how how are
we going to hand that?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
It'll be interesting for Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I almost think getting rid of the buys obviously would
help them because they can't get a buy anyway. But
from a national perspective, it kind of just depends what
bracket we're going to how many teams we're having in there.
The one thing that I care about, it's not as
much a system thing as much as it is a

(04:25):
committee thing. I think that the conference championships have to matter.
If you're going to win them and get a reward
for winning them, there should be a consequence for losing them.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
They shouldn't count as a free loss on the schedule.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
In my opinion, last year, Penn State did not move
an inch after losing a conference championship game. What's the
point of playing it if you're in a better spot
from losing it. Oregon had to go play Ohio State
in the second round as opposed to Penn State getting
to play SMU and Boise and then Notre Dame, and
you could you know, Notre Dame ended up losing to
Ohio State. They got an easier team than Oregon. They

(05:02):
got an easier team in the final four than Oregon
got in the second round, let alone the first two rounds.
So but the problem is, every time you try to
fix something, there's another issue that kind of crops up
from fixing it. It's kind of the the devil you
dance with when you keep messing the messing with the
format so often. And it's why March madness is the king,

(05:24):
and it's why it is what it is because.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
We're accustomed to what it is.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Obviously, there's talks about expanding that and what that would
look like, and I hate that. But it's why March
madness is the king, because we know what to expect.
Every year college football we changed. It seems like we
changed the format every couple of years now at this point.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
So part of me wanted.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
To stick with what we had for a while, just
to let it grow and see if it worked out,
and not just fully react to one year of it.
But yeah, it's it's a complicated puzzle to try to
put together.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, I'm kind of with you as well.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I think you could have made some decent tweaks for
after year one that wouldn't completely shift everything into overdrive.
And sixteen is it feels absolutely like overdrive. To put
it into perspective, sixteen team bracket would mean an additional
four more games, Like you know, I get it. Hey, look,

(06:24):
no one's complaining, right, ball's ball all day, But do
you think we need four more additional games to figure
out a national champion? I don't think we do. Okay,
that's I think we would all be in agreement on that.
And then then it goes on to say eight first
round games instead of four, like all right, I don't know.
Like I guess they look at what's taking place in

(06:46):
the one Double A, Division two, Division three brackets, and
I know that there's a ton of teams that make them,
and it feels different because, like I'll put it perspective,
for us, we have been involved because of Villanova and
Villanova has been one of the favorites going into it
in the last five years, and one at a time
that they weren't. They barely made the playoffs and they

(07:07):
made a little bit of a run so but still
at the end of the season it was still South.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Dakota State or North Dakota State. It was one of
those two that ended up winning it.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
So I guess, you know, if you want to continue
to add and make it a big spectacle. Of course,
money that's what the ultimate reason why ratings all that.
We get it, But I don't know if we need sixteen.
I think if you want to go to fourteen, I
can get behind that. But I'm kind of with you
right now. Whereas twelve was great. I loved it. I

(07:36):
just think what you got to do as far as
the automatic bids or the automatic buyser concerned, you know,
we need to tweak those and then I wouldn't mind
receding too as well, if that's something that we could discuss.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
But other than that, I mean, we we got the
best of the best.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
And if you go ahead and remove what you discussed
with Oregon and how they ended up having to take
on Ohio State where they got you know, the short
end of the stick on that one. If we can
tweak that and fix that, I think we have about
as close as as great as we can get.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
I'm not gonna say perfect, because nothing's ever gonna be perfect,
but as close to perfect as we possibly could.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah. Yeah, the receding I think would help for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
And the thing, yeah, the conference championship I think have
to as to matter or else why are we even
playing it just toward the conference championship to whoever's leading
the conference at the end of the year at that point.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
But yeah, I think it's hard.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
But yeah, you said eight first round games, that would
mean a full on sixteen team March Madness bracket.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
If that's the way they're going. It's fun.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
The idea of it's fun, like breaking down eight games
over two days. That'd be a fun weekend for us.
We'd get a lot of content out of that. But
I don't know if we need it.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
But like you said, I think we all dude, if
people are like us in this content space for sports Man,
we're starting to ech into new territory. It's like, wait
a minute, they really need us, they really need us.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Like I don't remember ever being this tired.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Going from college football, the NFL season, into college football playoffs,
into NFL playoffs and now here we are. We look up,
it's February nineteenth and we're on the sports carousel. To
steal that phrase from you, I love that. That's a
good one. Speaking of carousel, I'm going to Disney on Friday. Man,
my first yeah, first.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Time, and along I went to Disney in like nineteen
eighty eight.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Fun fun YouTube series for you, Sean Brace if you
throw it in your throw it in your YouTube defunct land.
They they cover these like old parks and old things,
and they do a lot of Disney stuff because it's
the biggest theme park going.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
They're you know, their logos Disney but Universal and stuff
like that.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I don't know if you're you know, it's a it's
a fun rabbit hole to go down watching some of
the stuff.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
And they touch on some think they've stuffing about stick.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
That's the only and again, it's just a different world
with a five year old, right, Like, this is the
first vacation that I've ever been on that I'm like,
all right, we gotta be here, we gotta do this. Blah,
blah blah, like all right, you know, and I'm kind
of like, again, it's not about me, but I'm gonna
make it about me right here, right now because I'm
on a microphone. It's kind of rubbing me a little bit, like, damn, dude,

(10:18):
there's no chance, there's no like, whoa what if we
get there and we see this, Like I'm I'm a
little nervous over that, but I don't know. We'll see
how the plays.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
So it's funny. You're a beach guy, right, is that
fair to say?

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yet, like most of your vacations have been the beach
for your life?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (10:34):
So for me, most of my vacations growing up, we're
going to Bush Gardens and Williamsburg, going to Disney, going
to Universal, going to see your point, yeah, doing all
the all the theme parks that we we hadn't gone
to yet, Bush Gardens in Tampa.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
So I'm used to the kind.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Of scheduling out of a vacation like you're here, you're here,
You're here. Things will pop up and with the lightning
lanes and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
That that's the only.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Way you can do Disney. Not nowadays, especially with a kid.
That's like the perfect age for for Disney though. It's
like when me and my wife go Epcot's fun you
drink around the world. Hollywood Studios has some adult stuff there.
There's definitely some fun adult stuff. You go to Magic
Kingdom Animal Kingdom. That's for the kids, Like that's for
the five year olds to kind of that's you know,

(11:22):
memories all have for the rest of their lives. So
I love I love Disney, but that's like the perfect
age to bring Disney.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Like I said, it's all about her.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
So you know, like we are going to move Having
and Earth to find Mowana. We are going yeah, you know,
like we are doing Animal Kingdom. We are doing our
Magic Kingdom Animal Kingdom yet not Animal Planet whatever. And
we are squeezing an Epcot because that's where the Moana
deal is.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
So we're doing all three parts. And then you know
what was the other kick in the keyster Like now
it's improving, but last week the weather in or.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Lane was like eighty perfect and then you look to
this weekend literally literally a high of like fifty nine. Yeah,
like what so that's that's improved though, We're up to
seventies on Saturday and Sunday, Friday's gonna be a little chilly,
Monday's gonna be fine. Wife is down there all the
following week. That's why we're going, because she's got something

(12:21):
going on with work. So we're very lucky in that category.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
But it's definitely intriguing.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Man, it's the first time I've been down there in
two plus three decades nineties, two thousand and two.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yeah, three decades.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
So I do have a picture that when I was
like eight nine years old with a Notre Dame t
shirt on.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
There you go, Mark and an Air Jordan hat standing
in front of the the What is that thing called?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I know it's epcop, but what is that thing?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Is a globe? I don't know if that's what it's called.
I think it's the globe. I think it's the Opcock globe.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
All right, Oh, cousin Nikki checking and go on the
Guardians coaster bridge. That's that's another thing. Pause time out,
because here's the deal again. I'm making this about myself.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
It's about me.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah, yeah, And it's like, all right, so Avatar.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
I'm a huge Avatar fan, huge and like I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Part of the reason why we're going to animal kingdoms
because of me.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Now at the end of the day, there's yeah, tons
like animals all that, so she's gonna love it. But
so we look it up and literally, even with the
lightning pass, it's ninety minutes to ride this ride. So
now am I going to leave my wife and daughter
for ninety minutes to go stand the line? So I
could go ride this ride by myself. It's just we

(13:44):
don't know how it's gonna play out, so we'll see.
But yeah, look that is on the list. The Guardians
of the Galaxy is on the list. Cousin Nikki, we'll see,
wish me a little yeah, nice work, all right, back
over into the sports carousel and we're spinning, we're spending,
we're spinning.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Oh, Raphael First, he doesn't want to move up a
third base. Bragman says, he's in Mark Henrick junior. How
do you handle that?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
If your Alex score, Bragman's gotta play second. They don't.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
They don't really have a second baseman. They're ready to go,
really they I mean, Trevor's story is probably gonna end
up getting hurt at shortstops, so I wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Ever statistically the worst third basement in.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Yeah, so I saw that stat.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
It's like a nine year accumulation of defensive runs saved
in none of there's only one year that I think
was above minus nine, and that's like, once you're getting there,
that's like really harmful. I'm kind of of the mindset
U that, like, I'm a little bit like defense doesn't
matter in baseball. I'm a little bit like just let

(14:44):
it mash and see what comes out on the other side,
especially if it's like you're saying you're only losing nine
runs over one hundred and sixty two games with him
as opposed to the average fielder, Like that's what that's
that's supposed to mean.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
It's not that obviously.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
But I'm kind of like, if there was a DH
that game, like I wanted the Phillies to just be like,
all right, let's pay Pete. Also, sorry, Kyle, you're playing
left field, like I would have I would have been
fine with that and we figure it out from there.
But that's I'm a little bit of a maybe that's
like video game.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Thinking, to be honest, but or spreadsheet thinking.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
But Devers is so good in the in the lineup,
and he's your franchise guy. I think, you know, I'd
probably rather just not upset him then move positions and improve,
you know, slightly in the field. But it just depends
like what they're gonna do at second base and shortstop
if they were to play Bragman and DH Devers, because

(15:41):
you play shortstop, you play Story at short I don't
know who they're They don't really have like the second
basement that's gonna fill right in and take over, So
I think they probably just should put Bragmant at second
I get the wanting to put Devers at DH, but
we've seen it, Like I do think locking in a
guy at DH hurts kind of your like day to

(16:01):
day kind of flexibility that you have with a lineup
and guys that you can get in there. Guys you
can get days off and things like that. Guys you
can get a day off while still keeping their bat
in the lineup. I think we've seen it with Kyle
kind of being planted into DH and when Bryce was
hurt and he couldn't play the field when he had
the DH.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
It gives you limited flexibility, So.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
You know, maybe it's something that you go through April
and you know, once once you're in the middle of
the season. It's easier than in February just to kind
of get him to play DH But I think it's
a little bit of a little bit of an overreaction it. Also,
I'm not so sure that Devers understood what he was
being asked.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
He was like it seemed like.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
A little like off the cuff, like, oh yeah, like
that's my position, Like that's my position. Yeah, I watched
the video, and you know, you could make a case
either way, probably, but yeah, look it's.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Something that they should be very grateful that is happening
on February eighteen, seventeenth and now the nineteenth today, so
the time will will ultimately work itself out.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
In my opinion.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Bregman did say that he will play wherever he's asked to,
and I'm with you, man, the bat is too good.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
He's incredible. I think.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Jeez, who was on the show yesterday, I'm forgetting it
was Chanson and then yeah, thank I'm losing my brain.
Luke said he's a top five baseball player in the game.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Oh, top five is strong, just off the top of
my head. Show Hey, Judge went because the Ramirez Bryce
uh top ten, top tens.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Yeah, probably, Uh yeah, you don't want to upset that
that guy.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
You want to keep that guy in your roster.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
He's young and uh I didn't realize how bad his
glove was, so that was surprising to me. So I
was like, all right, well, if they want to improve
their defense, like don't you have to be a team player.
But to your point, like, hey man, you know what
are we talking about here? Over one sixty two, get
out there and mash and that team cannot afford to
lose anybody, especially at this point in time with everything

(18:09):
that they've been dealing with over the years and the
Yankees having a success, that division kind of pulling away
from the Red Sox. So here's the year that they
could be competing and we'll see what happens. But Bregman,
I love Bregman. I'm happy he's out of Houston. That
breaks up that little run there. Hopefully they take a
step back. We'll see what happens there. We do no
no step back for Houston. They got what they got bullets.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yeah, they went out. They made a couple moves.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
You get Christian Walker, you get Isaac Parid's They made
a couple moves with their arms. I think they'll probably
just you know, win eighty eight ninety two games.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Like in that mix, they'll make the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
I mean, we're dealing with it with Trey, like Trey
probably shouldn't be playing shortstop, like Stopps should probably be
playing shortstop, and Trey should be playing second at this point.
But I think it's it's one of those things when
you have a friend, they dictate certain things and when
they have a position they want to play. I think
they get to play it kind of whether it's hurting

(19:07):
the team marginally or not. I will say, if you
kind of have to go on a limb to say, whoever,
you think the second best team in the AL is
outside of the Yankees, Like outside the Yankees, it's Baltimore
who just lost Corbyn Burns and Santander who hit forty
homers last year. You have, you know, the whole Al

(19:27):
Central mess of teams who are all like eighty two
eighty three and a half win total like Kinsas City
went to the LCS last year, their win totals eighty
two and a half, Like Cleveland went won whatever ninety
five games, their win totals like eighty three and a half.
Minnesota's right around there. Detroit had their magical run, They're
right around there as well. But none of those teams
are ripe with talent to the point where you're like, oh,

(19:50):
this team's winning the AL and I'm putting the future
in and then you're kind of talking about Houston, you're
talking about Boston. I really do think Boston has an
argument to be the same best roster in the AL
right now after adding Bregman, adding co or Crochet, adding
a couple of the pieces they did in terms of arms.

(20:11):
But if I was taking a pick, I'd say Texas.
I think Texas kind of gets right after a weird
year last year. Obviously won the World Series two years ago.
You go up and down that lineup last year, every
player had their career worst season, it felt like. And
I just think that there's a lot of regression to
the mean for guys who I don't think just became
bad at baseball. And Wyatt Langford a really young guy there,

(20:34):
five tool prospect, He's only going to keep getting better.
You get the grond back anything he gives you as
a bonus considering what you didn't have him at all
last year.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
I don't think you're expecting a full season out of
the ground, but if he starts half the starts, he's
probably gonna be pretty darn good. I think Texas is
right back on top in the al with the Yanks
this year, Bustiny, I agree.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
With you on Texas.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
That's who's jumping up the page me a little bit there,
you know, just trying to pull something out of nowhere.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
You know, Baltimore does have their their flaws, so it's
hard to get behind them. You'd love to see them
take a step up, but I don't think they did enough.
In fact, I think they got worse losing Corbyn Burns
this year. So they're at eighty seven and a half
or their win total. Curious, though, where do you stand
on both of these Red Sox eighty six and a
half and the Houston Astros are currently holding steady at

(21:29):
eighty seven and a half. Who's going over? Who's going under?

Speaker 1 (21:32):
I would go very slight over for both.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
When I when I did my play initial playoff productions,
I had Boston eighty eight wins and I had Houston
at eighty nine wins. They'd were both to they were
my they actually would be playing each other in the
first round of the playoffs and my my little simulation
as the top two wild cards.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
We got breaking news the Eagles announced. Eagles announced their
new offensive coordinator, Patula Correct.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, if it happened that fast, it was gonna be
too low.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
Yeah, people are gonna get it set with it because
Brian Johnson didn't work out. You know, I think it's
hard not to trust the guys right now. And you
know we said that last time. I guess when Steiken left,
But I think it's hard not to trust Nick and
Howie and he's obviously been there a while.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
I'm fine with it.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, Look when it comes down to, like, I don't
buy into the you know, the idea that this is
either all Howie or all Nick or.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Nick said this, and how he said, oh, it's you know,
I got to hand the keys over to you because
of the success that we just have. I don't buy
into that, right and especially what how E Rosman's been
through to get to this point to and I'm talking
two years ago after you know, when when Stichen and
Gannon left, right, like that's the big deal, and that

(22:55):
was that's when they handed the keys over Nick, and
I get it, those are Nick Nick's guys, but how
he is not going to be hands off on any
of the decisions, especially when it comes to coordinators. So
to me, this is all an effort, Like I don't
see these guys ever butting heads over any of these
these hires, right, Like, it's not it's not like these

(23:16):
are so out of left field that no, damn it,
you can't hire And that's my no, Like, I don't
view it as such, and hopefully I'm making sense.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
It's something like this.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
It's just like, yeah, okay, they're looking at it from
the standpoint and he's been here, he's been involved, he knows,
and for how we are for Nick, he probably is
more you know, loyal to him, but who knows how
he could be as well. I don't see like the
the completely you know, just bashing the heads like we're

(23:46):
not in agreement here on this or the previous coordinator
positions either.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Now, once the season got started and things got ugly,
that's a whole different story.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
But the hires talking specifically about the higher hiring process
between how we and Knick Syria, I just feel like
that this was more of a cumultive effort than people
are given credit for putting.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Together a mafia.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Here, we got an Italian at both coordinator positions.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
At the head coach, you got big Don lead in
the whole way. You know, you don't go against the family.
I think that's what Nick was thinking here.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
So no, I'm joking, But I Connor orr did from
Sports Illustrated, a great writer, did write a great piece
on just like the Italian roots and like of the
Eagles organization and how important the Italian heritage is to
the coaching staff. It was a really interesting piece about
like where they eat and Philly and stuff.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Was a great piece for everyone to check out.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Patulo was heavily involved and interviewed for it and came
off pretty well in it. But yeah, I don't think
he'd be the passing game coordinator of how he had
a problem with him, you know, in general.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
So I think it's probably an easier sell.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
I think if you would have seen like Frank Reich
get brought up for interviews, maybe then is where you
start to see like.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Oh, this is a yeah, Josh.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Although I guess you could say, I guess you could
say how he hired Rake once upon a time.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
It was a long time ago.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
But if you would have saw Reich kind of get
brought up, you would have seen that that's a that's
a nick guy.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
But I will say, certain certain.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Outlets out there pushing the Doug Peterson for offensive coordinator
and stuff.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Shame on you. It is shame on you.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
O name them who did that.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
Yeah, it's a certain radio station out of here.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Really they were.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
They brought it up as like a topic this morning
on a on a morning show.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
I take a bath. Yeah, take a bath. People, Are you.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Really that would be willing to do it? Oh my god?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Are you really that starved for content that you have
to bring up something that you know, damn well would
not be approachable, a be beneficial? Like there is nothing, zero,
there's zero. Maybe when Doug won the Super Bowl I
could say something positive. I don't have anything positive say
about Doug Peterson other than the fact he won a
super Bowl in twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Yeah, go go, you know, watch your you know, hang
out with your grandkids, you know, come to some Philly
sports events to celebrate, you know, the twenty seventeen ring.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Just enjoy retirement, Doug. You've been paid a lot of.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Money over the last Like, that's right years at this point,
just take it back seat.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
So the Eagles name Cap Patullo their new opics coordinator.
He was quarterback coach, linebacker coach, TB coach, and assistant
TB coach. Had just ten years of NFL coaching experience
combined in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Twenty twenty three. Oh no, no, I read that wrong.
Excuse me, I apologize here.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Yeap Berman had did have a quote here from Petullo
about how different Ian, how different he and Nick sy
the game, and that's why they work together.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
So well, yeah, it might just be something you say.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
But I just pulled up an article in my goodness
that was very confusing trying to read on the fly.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Anyways, I will pull up his Wikipedia page because you
know you could trust that. Oh he's local guy, Hillsborough Township,
forty three years of age, great age there as I
am as well. Graduated from South.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Florida, GA and Arizona.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Then was with the Chiefs and sevena offensive assistant quality control.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Then he went to the Bills for a couple.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Of years, same stuff there, Titans in twenty fourteen assistant
wide receiver coach, Jets QB coach in fifteen and sixteen
seventeen he was with A and M Wow, this guy's
been a round the block and then this is where
to see her any cross comes in. He was with
the Colts twenty eighteen twenty nineteen twenty twenty pass game

(27:40):
specialists with the Colts. Then he took the Eagles pass
game coordinator in twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty twenty three,
twenty four he was pass game coordinator, associate head coach
and offensive coordinator. Look man, Wikipedia is fast bro already updated.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Good god, good grief, it just happened.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
What you said.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
You're I know you're usually a take a lap guy.
You said take a bath to the radio station earlier. Yeah,
I will say, and I shouldn't even bring it up,
but Pete Prisco, what an absolute crumbum that that guy
is to be bringing up Trevor Lawrence and Dak Prescott,
the code of Rraine Prescott over a guy who just

(28:21):
lifted a little.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Somebody else brought up Da though.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
I'm not even somebody else said that they.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Would take Dak over jail, like these people are out
of their minds.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
I felt this way four months ago, that these people
saying this were out of their minds, and I, you
know me, like, nobody has road harder for Jailen over
the years than I have. But I almost feel like
now I see some of the arguments out there, but
it's a guy like Prisco, Like he's respected and national
enough for me to point out and be.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Like, this is ridiculous. But the idiots on Twitter and
the morons still talking about Jalen being carried in.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
The past, I was, I was in around with all
those idiots. I was in the mud every morning about Jalen.
There's a part of me now that's just like, you
know what, Like I was right, like I don't have
to fight anymore. I was right, like there is not
a single quarterback in the NFL outside of the top
four mahomes Lamar Josh Burrow that you can even put

(29:20):
in the same sentence as Jalen Hurts at this point.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
No, Look, Prisco has a nice role for himself. Who's
at CBS. Still is with CBS there, but he made
the move. He's a South Florida guy. He's a Florida guy,
so he's fitting nicely there. He's one of those get
off my long type of old men. And you know
his white quarterbacks. I don't know what the list is,

(29:46):
but he clearly doesn't like Jalen for whatever reason, and
because I don't know if he's got other quarterbacks, you know,
whatever guys there.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
Is there is, But in general, I think he sides
towards the pocket passer, looks good in shorts, grades out
well in the combine, can make all the throws, like
JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
I don't know who looks better than Jailing right now,
Like jal Star is just so bright, Like he's taken
jump Man to levels that they've never been before. We're
talking about Jordan, Jordan product jump Man, like they've never
had a Super Bowl MVP, you know, winning the same

(30:29):
week with the love hurts in on Valentine's Day, like
they bought so much they ran both the sponsored boat
parades on six ABC, Fox twenty nine. Like Jumpman is
number one when it comes to marketing sports gear. Jordan
all that right, I don't think anyone arue that. And
by far, like they have never seen anything like this.

(30:50):
They have a great rollodex of names when it comes
to basketball. They do have some good football players, but
they ain't got a Super Bowl MVP quarterback fresh off
the win over Patrick Mahomes. That's for damn sure. So
there's nothing brighter than Jailing right now. And yeah, he's
good looking too, he does look good at pair shorts.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
He's football Jeter, it really, And I'm not a Jeter guy.
I'm not. I don't want a debate Jeter today, but
he is.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
I am.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
He is football Jeter in a way that he's just
so damn cool. He's handsome, he's the leader of, you know,
a team that is, in my opinion, going to go
on a nice little run here already has one on
a nice little run. You know, you go to a
Super Bowl and you win another It's there is a
level of him making the brand cool for a different

(31:34):
sport in the same way that Jeter kind of did
in the early two thousands with baseball. And you know,
people my age were wearing Jordan cleats for baseball, and
I don't think that was happening before that. And I
think they're kind of trying to do the same thing
with football and making Jail in the face of their
kind of football brand. He's the perfect He's never gonna
say anything or do anything to embarrass your brand either,

(31:57):
you know that for for damn sure, So he couldn't
be a better you know, ambassador also is from a
city of insane people that will buy, you know, any
merch your company puts out, so that helps a lot.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
But yeah, he there's a lot of there's a lot
of Jeter to Jalen.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I like that. All right, let's keep it moving once again.
Breaking news do you.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Philadelphia Eagles have found their offensive coordinator, Kevin Petullo, come
on down, just rising through the ranks with the Eagles,
so he's earned his keep.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Good luck to him, and we'll see.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
I it's not to say, I just it's too early
for me to have a concern.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I can't even like pop a concern up on my brain.
You know what.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
I have been happier if Kellam Moore state of course
didn't take place. Oh well, this gentleman, they see fit.
Who can ar you at this point in time. But
we're gonna learn, We'll find out what he's worth, what's
different about him, what new wrinkles are gonna bring to me.
It seems kind of like, hey man, that offense you're
running the same pieces back you're gonna have to do
a couple of different things here and there, but for

(32:59):
the most part, we expect Saquon to be the bread
and butter behind that offensive line.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Correct.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
I think they're gonna pass a lot more than they
do this year.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
And it's also drap Kings has a future up on
Jalen's passing yards.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
I yeah, I think Jalen's pass yards will be up
so to year. In twenty twenty two, Jalen was I
think thirty nine hundred pass yards and he was like
twenty eight hundred this year. I think he probably lands
like thirty fourish in that range, and then Saquon was
obviously at two K. I think you could probably expect
Saquon to be around like the thirteen to sixteen hundred

(33:34):
range and.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Still have a really good season.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
I was dead wrong in the preseason, and don't nobody
go grab the clips. I remember you asking me about
Saquon From a fantasy perspective, I thought the Eagles were like,
you know, we brought him here for the playoffs, We're
gonna conserve him, and we're gonna.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Make sure he's healthy in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
They did none of that, and then he's still bowed
out in the playoffs, so what do I know? It
worked out well, but you do have to think that
maybe they start kind of trying to lessen the touches
on a regular season basis Onquon.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
That's what I think. And obviously we're all focused on the.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
Big four in terms of free agents, with Josh Sweat,
Milton Williams, Makai Beckton, and obviously Zach Bond. But I
will say the most under the radar name outside of
that top four to watch a guy I'd love to
see back is Kenny Gainwell. I really thought Gainwell took
a step this year in pass protection, as a as
a receiver, even as a running back, in terms of

(34:30):
making some explosive plays happen. I know, people, I think
the conventional wisdom is that Will Shipley will just step
into Gainwell's role, and maybe that's true, but.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
I would love to see Gainwell back.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
And if you're going to take some responsibility away from
Saquan just to keep him healthy for the long stretch,
I would I would rather gain Weell be there to
get those carries than you know, some fourth round pick
this year or Will Shipley. But yeah, it's I'm excited
for kind of the news to start trickling out here
about the free agent targets for the Eagles, because it

(35:01):
just came out today a lot more a lot more
money than they were expecting for the NFL salary caps.
So a couple of possibilities for me. Everybody else looks
at that and goes for me, I look at that,
and I go, let's keep our dudes, Let's keep this
team together. It's the best team I've ever seen. Well,
let's run. Let's go get Milton Williams, let's go get

(35:23):
Zach Bon, Let's keep Josh Sweat since it's gonna cost
us for him to leave us anyway. And there was
the report from Schefter today he thinks McKay Beckton might take.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
A little bit of a little bit.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Of a discount to stay with Stoutland and the team
that kind of revived his career. So I think you
just run it back as much as you possibly can.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I don't think you're saying anything that we don't all
agree with. We'd like to see it, especially with those
names like you said, with Milan and Joshwtt and of
course Zach Bond get them back into the nest.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
We'll see how that one plays out.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
But again on to the next one from the Eagles perspective,
and that is the uh, the coming and then the drafts.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
So Mark and Virginia does a great job covering all
of that.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Be sure to follow him on all things. Socials can
catch him on Saturday from eleven to one. All right,
let's keep it moving, and let's go ahead and get
back over to baseball, because I do have a Phillies question.
But as far as the spring training and it gets
started tomorrow, we got our first game tomorrow, excuse me,
which is just wild. But from the Phillies perspective, you know,

(36:28):
like I know that we are very happy with the
way that the season as a whole regular season played out.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
It was a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
But as the crunch team, crunch time came down, and
especially playoffs, the team could not buy a hit and
clutch time could.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Not move the runners over.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
And I know that we all said, like in our
perfect world, we'd like them to change their approach or
just something has to be different, or else it's nothing's
going to ever change, in which that's the obvious way
of looking at it. But were they a prisoner or
some bad luck. Could they come up there and all
of a sudden start connecting like this is a new

(37:05):
damn year.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
And I know that these guys aren't going to change
their ways.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
But Trey Turner spoke today Devin Kaney a matter of fact,
had a little bit of a one on one inside
a gaggle of reporters done in Clearwater, and he said
he hasn't watched anything from last year. He won't watch
any game from August and September or the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
And I don't know, you don't know if that's what
I mean. Like I put myself in that position.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
I'm probably not watching either, But I am open to
changing my approach.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
I have to be.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
I have to be. But I'm also not Trey Turner.
I'm also not Bryce Arper. I'm also not.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
You know, JT.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Realmuto, who made it to the league doing what you've
been doing all along. So I like, where do you
go with that? If you're if you're a topper, how
do you handle that? If you're if you guys are like, hey, man,
like I'm not watching last year. Last year was last year.
This year's this year.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, I think it's a problem.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
Like I do get that there is like you know,
what was the jailing quote, Like you don't you don't
take it.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
You don't take a dump and then look at it.
You flush that.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
You know, I do get I do get that kind
of standpoint from it.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
But I do think like your approach at the play.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Is something where like you're not watching the games. Just
get someone get one of the interns to put together
like a super cut of all your opponents against you know,
all your at bats against lefties, all your atpats against righty's,
and watch kind of like.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
A like a cut.

Speaker 4 (38:31):
You know, they do that, Like that's something that these
hitting coaches and these staffs do, like put together all
your swings, and that's what they're looking at, allegedly when
they're sitting there in the bullpen or in the dugout
and you see guys on the iPad before they're about
to go up, they're watching their previous.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
At bats against that guy. So you know, part of
me is like Trey, you know.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
You should be watching those those pictures on the Mets.
You're gonna be seeing a lot of them a lot
this year. And you know, for whatever, I don't I'm
not gonna get two up in all arms about that
type of stuff, because you know, these guys have done
what they've done to lead their careers to be this
successful and get to this point, and they kind of
have to trust that the approach that got them here

(39:12):
is the approach that will continue to get them where
they want to go. But it's a tough it's tough
to get jazz jazzed up as we've been the last
couple of years. It's it's hard to not say that
they're not in the sixer zone yet, they're not in
the zone where it's like, shut up until you do something,
We'll pay attention, we'll enjoy the season.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
But the whole year there will be a is it
going to be any different?

Speaker 4 (39:38):
And I'm usually the guy I feel like that pushes
against that, and I'm the guy that's like, it's a
different year.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
You can't judge it based on year to year.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
And there is a part of me that thinks, in baseball,
the best thing you can do is just put together
a ninety plus win team over five to seven years
and hope it breaks right one of the years. Because
we've seen how many amazing teams flame out in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yep, it's there.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Is part of me that thinks there is just you
have to have organizational consistency to put yourself in position
to win. And yeah, what I have liked to do
with the Dodgers did and go out and add ten
All Stars.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Yeah, I would like to do that.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
But there is part of me that thinks, as long
as you, you know, maintain the level of successes we've
had in the regular season over the last couple of years,
you once you get to the playoffs, you have a shot.
We saw that in twenty twenty two. We saw it
last year on the other end of things. So it's
hard for me to be It's hard for me to
get as jazzed up as the years where you have
Bryce Harper, you add Kyle Schwerber and Nick or you

(40:40):
add Trey Turner or Zach Wheeler back in the day.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Even last year.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
Coming off of the NLCS, it felt like we added
a little more to that team than we did this year.
But yeah, my dog is upset about John Middleton be
able to float at the parade and now she's not
spending any more. But I think that there is a
level of as long as they keep this corp of

(41:07):
guys together and add small pieces to it, they're going
to be an amazing starting rotation. The bullpen is probably
a little bit more concerning, and that's kind of like
what I'll be watching in spring training is how these
bullpen guys look. And Jordan Romano is he going to
be kind of the answer. And in the back end,
Ryan Kirkring is he going to keep it going? Alvarado

(41:29):
is he gonna bounce back. That's kind of my biggest
thing to watch for this Philly seasons the bullpen. I
know everybody's focused on the lineup.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
Yeah, no, it always is, right so important how much
run they get throughout the course of the season. Bullpens
have never been more important than lately, and as far
as the Major League Baseball across the board, it's concerned.
So that is always one that definitely has my attention.
Who's filling what spots and the way that topper handles that.
But we won't get those answers most of those answers

(41:57):
in March. We will figure it out throughout the course
of this season. But this is Bryce harper seventh season
with the Phillies. Seven with the Phillies and just want
to see my man get a title. Man really want
Bryce Harper to win a championship here in Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I don't think anyone would disagree with that. It feels
like this is his home. Don't want him play anywhere
else the rest of his career. Want him locked in Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
So no better time than right now. Got a good team.
You know, this team was good last year. They just
could have put together at the right time. So hopefully
they're able to fix that. And we won't know what
that looks like until five six months into this bad Boy,
So I'm always about enjoying the regular season as much
as possible. That is fast approaching. They open up in

(42:43):
DC home opener on March thirty first against the Colorado Rockies.
All right, let's go ahead, Yeah we do it. Someone
checking in appreciate that Philly just Philly. How do you
get the name Philly.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
I've seen him comment before. I've seen him comment before
on Gambler stuff.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
I don't know he was in early It's.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
Original YouTube user, I mean day one, the Philly Mister Philly.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yes, we did it.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
To Kevin Patula as the oppositive coordinator, breaking news a
little earlier.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
It's just probably about ten minutes ago. No surprise.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
We kind of thought that that was going to be
the case, and I would have been surprised if it
was not, and then that would have led me into
some other conversations about who's deciding who and what.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
But I do believe that Sirianni and Howie Roseman are
on the same page. That is a good thing.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
And of course they just won the championship, so smooth
sailing at this point in time. All right, let's get
out of the college troops for close up shop with
this one. Mark every Jr. Where are you looking at?
Because I'm looking at that Missouri Bama game.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
I'm loving it, and I'm kind.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Of leaning towards the home dog here in Missouri catching
a point and a half at home. That's where I'm
kind of leaning on this one. I would think, actually,
they're a point at favorite. I apologize I have favorite
one seventy one and a half. Big time number there.
Of course Alabama. Last time I lost that tough game
to Auburn at home. Will they be licking their wounds

(44:08):
or is this a spot for Missouri to pop off?

Speaker 2 (44:10):
It's a tough.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
League and wouldn't shock me going either way. But I
think Missouri being favored here tells me a little something.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
I'll take Missouri.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Give me all the Bama stock everybody sold.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
Give me all the stock everybody sold is my best
bet of the season, my favorite bet of the season.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Ton I liked it when it opened.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
Bamba minus two to two and a half, give me plus.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
One and a half. I love it.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
I don't care that the money's coming in on Missouri.
Give me all the stock on everybody's selling. After they
lost to Auburn. I watched that game, and they struggled
in the first half. First half, Yeah, the second half
they were just as good as Auburn. And you know,
a couple of plays down the stretch they didn't make.
Obviously that lead to the way that.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
The game went.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
Mark Sears shot four to seventeen from the field. I
don't see that happening very often. Auburn shot or Alabama
shot five of twenty six from three, while Auburn shot
twelve of thirty, And obviously you can do that with
a lot of games. But yeah, Alabama is one of
the better shooting teams in the country. Do I think
they're gonna come out again and go five for twenty

(45:14):
six from three.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (45:16):
I think, if anything, you get regression the other way,
where they come out and have a shoot the lights
out at night. And I think that you see an
Alabama team down the stretch here that is every bit
as good as Auburn and Duke. I know that they
lost at home to Auburn, so everybody's ready to just
move on and make it an Auburn and Duke RaSE
and everybody else is chasing behind. But especially with this

(45:38):
matchup with Missouri, this is like they Missouri is kind
of like a carbon copy of what Bama does in
terms of running.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
And shooting the three.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
But you look at Bama's weakness. They're thirty ninth in defense,
but they're third in offense. Missouri forty fourth in defense,
but they're eleventh in offense. Like I think, if you're
gonna beat Bama, it's probably gonna be with elite defense,
and Auburn has the number thirteen defense, But I think
that that's actually a little misleading. I think when they're on,
they're just as good as any defense in the country.

(46:08):
Bama's still scored eighty five in that game, but Auburn
is able to kind of keep keep him from going
to nuts in the first half, which ended up being
the difference there. So I still believe in Bama, still
believe in Sears and Nelson. I think that this I'm
just this is also.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
I'm not a Missouri guy.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
I don't buy Missouri is one of the top echelon teams.
And I do think Bama is right there in the
top four. I think everybody's made it a top two
with Auburn and Duke. I think it's Auburn, Duke, Bama
and Houston. Like I think all four of those teams
are top top notch.

Speaker 3 (46:40):
I think Bama was number two one seed, the one seed,
but their second yeah, one seed in the bracketology for Lonardi. Yeah,
I'm with you there, man. I think that Bama is
damn good. It is an intriguing matchup. It's one that
I will be watching tonight. And of course we've got
Van Dy and Kentucky and the overall number one team,
Allren at home home taking on Coach cal and those Hogs.

(47:03):
That's a fifteen and a half point spread tells you
a little bit something about that game.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Give me the Hogs.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
I guess a half, that's too many points. I'm right
there with you on that one. Give me it's not
down a fifteen and a half. So that tells you
little something there.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
This isn't a money in the dumpster play, but this
is like right, I might so five units the Bama play.
That's my best bet of the season. Haven't had a
five unit all play on the year. I've had a
lot of four unit ones. But I've got another four
unit one tonight as well. SMU kind of on the
bubble a little bit, probably maybe outside looking in on

(47:39):
the bubble going to Notre Dame to play Shrewsbury's Irish.
I've been fading Notre Dame all year long on the
basketball court. They are a disaster, especially over the last
couple of weeks here. I think they're one in five
over their last six games. Shrewsbury, I don't know if
you saw it, had a meltdown and a press conference

(48:00):
that was like someone asked him a question just about
how fans weren't coming and to the games. There's not
a lot of fans there, and he got himself like
worked up in like a four.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
Minute rant where he ended it by like screaming.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
Like, don't quit on me, don't quit on these guys.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
He was going crazy in the press conference.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
I think things are going south in a hurry there
for Shrewsbury in South Bend, and they had Mike Bray there,
who was you know, consistency forever and he just has
not gotten it right there. I like the higre at
the time, but you look at you know, they lose
the Virginia Tech, a bad Virginia Tech team. They were
favored by seven and a half. They were favored by
seven and a half against a bad Miami team. They

(48:39):
lost that one, barely beat a bad Boston College team.
SMU's beaten all those teams by far more and has
also beaten some bubble teams and some Mid A SEC teams.

Speaker 1 (48:48):
So I like SMU to get the job. And I
took the money line at minus one twenty.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
There it is breakdown across the board. We hit on
all the sports carousel. Mark Kinbry Junior as all with
a bang up job. Be sure to follow him. He
does keep track of his picks. That's Mark Henry Jr.
Underscore five star selection and I'm going to head that
true story.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
I believe now I could be lying, So I want
to take that back.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
But I haven't wagered that much on college basketball because
of obviously what's been taking place. I think the last
time I wagered on college truth game was when Arizona
hit that half court shot. Caleb Love hit that shot,
and it was such a defeating loss.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
So this is setting me up for a bad spot here.
But that's all right. I'm hitting send on the wager.
We're going to head that.

Speaker 3 (49:38):
I'm taking Missouri, you're rolling five star pick, You're onn
with the Tide.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
We'll see who comes out on top. Good luck. I'm
that play, Mark and Virginia as always.

Speaker 5 (49:48):
Tide Country. Let's ride great out all right? That will
do it for us today. Keep it locked right here
to the Gambler. We're gonna run it back on the
other side. Also five o'clock we'll.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
Sit at the Cavino and Rich back in studio tomorrow
live show coming your way, Sam Austriin, we're talking more
things college hoops.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Will joined Edla from Draftings Sportsbook. But as always thanks
to Mark.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Luck on those plays and if you miss the same
thing at FOXPHL Gambler dot.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
Com spreads totals and all the prop that's in between.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
It's the gambler
