She was locked away inside of an inescapable cellar beneath her family home. A cellar that her father spent 6 years building for her. In total, Elisabeth was imprisoned for 24 years, and during her captivity, her father subjected her to cruel and brutal treatment including incestuous sexual assault and physical torture.
