Music and Entertainment with Troy Doherty (Part One)

This is Part 1.

This week's guest on the show is Troy Doherty. He is an incredibly talented singer, musician, songwriter, actor, and entertainer. He is Jersey born and raised, New York trained, LA made, and Nashville grade. Elicia and Troy dive into the unique challenges artists, creators, and entertainers face as entrepreneurs who are also the product they are selling.

Troy shares the behind the scenes/"game" side of the business that is hidden from the average consumer. Troy walks Elicia through the way marketing is done through TikTok and Instagram to help boost the Spotify algorithm which then pushes the song onto Spotify playlists. Elicia shares her observations of other artists such as Qveen Herby, Jessi Murph, Dax, and Teddy Swims and how each of them are doing a variation of this same thing.

When they get to talking about a day he almost quit - his answer isn't the same as most of her guests..........
