In this episode, Father Dave shares more about the lasting effects Deep Practice has had in his own life and in the life of his church community. Learning and applying the practices help those who learn them to actually know how to carry out Biblical principles. Father Dave described a powerful encounter he had with a woman in a truly difficult situation, in which she was able to recognize that she needed to practice relinquishment with no prompting from him.
Becky and Father Dave compare the practices to athletic training and how developing the habit of using a practice is like the repetitive training an athlete does in order to succeed in a big moment. They believe that the Church can use Deep Practice to effectively train and form believers to live as intentional disciples.
