Marie Destinee a La Grandeur (00:03):
Hi
, welcome to the Dire-Rie of a
Sane Black Woman.
This is Marie, your host.
This is an impromptu recording, but I thought I would just
record it on the spot.
I was going to hold off, buthere I am because something else
happened and I just thought, you know what, I'm just going to
record it and just get whateverI'm feeling and just document
(00:26):
it here.
So what are we discussing today?
We're discussing the topic ofwatched from within, right?
So the stalking, what happenswhen stalking is not only
happening externally?
Right, it's happening close by,whether it's your neighbors,
people that you trust, that arewatching you, property managers,
(00:50):
workers that work on you know, within your community, and
things of that nature.
What happens when those thatare supposed to be guardians or
gatekeepers are actuallypartaking in the surveillance,
in the subliminal harassment andactually condoning it, or
(01:13):
actually becoming, when theenforcers actually become
obstacles to justice?
And so, in theory, propertymanagers, police dispatchers and
other frontline enforcers ofrules and laws serve as the
connective tissue betweeninstitutions and the public.
Right, so they are expected touphold standards, protect rights
(01:36):
and facilitate justice.
But what happens when theseactors either lack legal
literacy or, worse, weaponizetheir positions to surveil,
intimidate or obstruct?
So, ladies and gentlemen, thisis my predicament, right, many
of you have heard at least partof my story so far.
I'm 10 episodes in.
(01:57):
This is the 11th episode of,and this is going to be part of
season two, and this is going tobe episode one, but you've
already heard if you haven't goback and listen to season one
all 10 episodes so you can getan idea of my story as a
targeted individual.
So, in any event, what bringsus here?
(02:18):
We're talking about legalilliteracy and gatekeeping roles
, right?
So I had a situation.
It happened not too long ago, maybe about 30 minutes ago.
Right, I was online, minding myown business as usual.
I was watching something onRumble.
Actually, it's about an episodeon A&E that's coming up, and
(02:39):
I'm very excited to actuallylearn about this series because
I think we need more people likethis.
That's actually on the victimside and trying to defend them.
It's about basically the war oncyber bullies and basically
trying to unmask them, and so,in any event, I was basically
watching that on Rumble, dr Drewwas interviewing the host of
(03:04):
the show, who is James McGibney, and so, as I was watching it,
my ears started to pop and I,just like my head, I could feel
like something.
Right, I can feel, whatever thetechnology, the EMF waves, rf
(03:24):
waves it was going crazy.
I felt it.
So whenever there's aconcentration on my devices, I
can always feel it because itchanges, there's a shift in the
atmosphere, and so I decided toturn the devices off.
I opened the door and then, as Iopened the door, maybe a few
minutes in, I noticed there wasa drone, something that looked
(03:48):
like a drone flying towards me.
Now, let's not get this twisted.
There are planes that do flyover where I live, but that
wasn't a plane, it wasdefinitely a drone.
And as I was looking at it, Iwas like, okay, that's
interesting in the timing of it,right.
As I walked outside, immediately the drone was flying
towards me.
And then, as I opened the door,I was looking at it.
(04:09):
I was like, okay, that'sinteresting in the timing of it,
right.
As I walked outside, immediately the drone was flying
towards me.
And then, as I opened the door,I was like, okay, I stepped
outside to get a better view.
And then I was pointing at it.
I was like, okay, that'sdefinitely a drone my left.
And then, as I was pointing toit, it flew over where I live.
(04:30):
It's a duplex.
I live in a community and it'slike different units and things
of that nature.
So then it flew over my head.
I looked to the right, therewas another one flying, and so
that really I was just like okay, this has gotten really
ridiculous.
Not only people are coming infront of my house, parking their
cars, running their cars andusing their phones to surveil me
(04:52):
or just coming in in whateverway that they are coming in to
surveil me, but they're alsousing drones.
So I was like okay, that can'tbe legal, especially because
we're actually in a gatedcommunity.
The gates close after a certaintime.
Now I don't know who the dronesbelong to, if my neighbors are
(05:13):
using them or if it's someoneelse, but in any event, I was
like you know what I will callthe police.
I called the non-emergencynumber and I obviously was
speaking to a dispatch and Itold them look, I have.
This is the situation there aredrones flying over my place.
(05:33):
You know I'm a victim of cyberstalking and stalking and you
know I've made several reports, and so now I have drones in
addition to everything else thatI've been going through.
Now I have drones flying overmy head and he said what's the
address of the property?
I gave him the address and thenhe mentioned that, well, you
(05:55):
know, I'm pretty sure that, likepublic, in the public, like you
, could fly drones and stuff.
And I said, well, this is not apublic, you know, this is, this
is a gated community right.
Someone is flying a drone overa gated community right?
And they're flying a drone overwhere I live and potentially,
(06:17):
you know, accessing my data orwhatever it is that they're
trying to do.
And he's like no, it's notagainst, it's not against the
law to do that.
And so I was just like okay.
And I said, and I've madeseveral reports to the police
about harassment and things likethat.
And I said I don't thinkanything has been done.
And he's like, well, you know,I'm pretty sure they looked into
it if you made the report.
(06:38):
And I was just like okay.
So we ended the call.
So the first thing I did, thefirst thing I did, was go to
handy dandy, google and look upthe laws California laws that
pertains to drones and what doesthe law say about drones?
What does California law sayabout flying drones?
(06:59):
Let me read it to y'all InCalifornia, flying drones over a
house is subject to variouslaws and regulations.
Here are some key points toconsider.
Privacy rights Property ownershave the right to privacy and
protection from unauthorizedsurveillance.
Unauthorized drone flights canbe considered trespassing.
(07:23):
Local ordinances many citiesand counties have local
ordinances that may imposerestrictions on drone use,
including prohibitions overbeaches, parks and public areas.
Faa regulations while the FAAregulates drone flights at the
federal level, California hasenacted its own state laws to
(07:43):
address drone use, includingprohibitions on capturing images
or recordings of privateproperty without consent.
Okay, criminal penaltiesInterfering with emergency
personnel or using drones tosecretly record individuals in a
setting where they have areasonable expectation of
(08:05):
privacy can lead to criminalcharges with all applicable laws
and regulations.
To avoid legal issues, alwayscheck with local authorities for
specific regulations andrestrictions before flying a
(08:25):
drone over a property inCalifornia.
So that is, ladies andgentlemen, the basic rules for
California.
Now, as far as San Francisco isconcerned, san Francisco has
specific restrictions on droneoperations, including
prohibitions in certain parksand over private property
(08:47):
without permission.
So here we see the dispatchsaid it was legal and we see the
law says something verydifferent.
So we see that there is someissues here with people not
knowing what the law says andgiving wrong information or just
(09:10):
being dismissive is the defaultright.
So they dismiss your call, theydismiss what you're calling
about and the claim that you'remaking without even properly
looking into it.
So here we see the dismissal oflegitimate concerns.
Victims of harassment orstalking may be told there's
nothing we can do, even whenlegal remedies exist, right.
(09:34):
So this was my issue here withthe dispatch.
Dispatch, you know, I calledabout the drone.
He said it was legal andobviously, according to what I
read here, it is not.
It's it's illegal.
It's illegal.
And so I'm very frustratedabout this, not only about the
fact that the drones were flyingover me.
(09:55):
I I've suspected that and Ifelt like I've seen drones
around, but it was just thewhole timing of it.
You know the minute I openedthe door and then also the fact
that I was feeling the waves andeverything like that, the
concentration of the, you knowthe energy towards my devices,
(10:17):
and then you know going outsideand then seeing the drones.
So I don't know who's operatingthe drones, who knows, but I
mean that's that is.
That's, that's the situation.
Also, we have situations whereso we're talking about
gatekeepers.
(10:38):
Also, we have situations where.
So we're talking aboutgatekeepers, right, we're
talking about the people thatare supposed guardians, law
enforcement, more people thatwork on behalf of law
enforcement, whether they'redispatchers or whatever that are
actually obstructing justice.
So this brings me to anotherincident that I experienced
(11:00):
today, and it's not that I onlyexperienced it today.
It's something that I have beenexperiencing and, you know, I
obviously have been verysuspicious that this individual
was also involved, but was justkind of downplaying it because,
you know, whenever I would makemy comments or complaints about
what has been going on, you knowthey've been kind of dismissive
(11:23):
and things like that.
Or yeah, we're going to handleit, we're going to take care of
it, and nothing has been done.
And I'm talking about theproperty manager of where I live
, and so so far, I'm at threeemails, right.
So I've sent three emailsregarding the cyber stalking by
(11:43):
other neighbors, other thingsthat's occurred since I've been
here the subliminal harassment, the cyber stalking and all of
that, and also in-personstalking.
In-person stalking.
I think this has been a monthsince I made, like, the formal
(12:04):
complaint about what has beenhappening and I had sent an
email, basically very detailedemail, and I also raised concern
that you know, look, this isnot only cyber stalking or cyber
harassment, this is alsodiscrimination, you know, and
like this is potentially againstfair housing regulations.
Right For people to be treatedequally.
(12:25):
Because at this point I feellike I'm a target and I'm being
treated differently, you know,by not only my neighbors but the
people that work for thecommunity, the people that are,
you know, that work for theproperty management company,
because they're also targetingme, right.
So you know, I'm not beingtreated fairly, I'm being, I'm
(12:46):
being targeted, so this shouldalso potentially be against the
law.
And so they said they were, they would look into it, they,
they, they're, you know they'llget back to me and then fast
forward.
You know I'm not going to getinto the details or whatever,
but if necessary, you know, atsome point I'll, you know,
(13:10):
provide more detail.
But you know, just for thepurposes of this audio diary,
I'm just going to kind of giveyou an overview of what had
occurred.
So then I followed up maybe Iwant to say two weeks after the
initial email, and I said, look, you know, I haven't heard
anything back.
I just wanted to follow up, soforth and so on, and they
(13:32):
mentioned that, oh okay, yeah,we're.
You know I'm in the process ofdrafting something to send out
right, a generic email just tokind of remember, remind all the
individuals you know basic lawsand and rules and regulations
about community behavior andthings of that nature, and she
(13:53):
also mentioned that.
Well, it's kind of the theaccusations I'm making are kind
of serious and so withoutsubstantial evidence, it's kind
of hard for them to move forwardwith anything.
So I was just like, okay, andthe thing about it is I want to
say that from the first time Ireported it, instead of things
(14:15):
getting better, especially withthe workers, with the workers
that actually report into theproperty manager, it got worse.
They were still harassing mesubliminally.
They would walk by my unit withthings, they would walk out
with objects in their hands.
They would be doing certainactivities every time I walked
(14:36):
by, just to harass me.
So in my mind I felt likeeither nothing was said to them
or they got the okay to like, okay, don't pay her no mind, or
what have you, because it seemedlike they were, whatever they
were doing was being condonedbecause they didn't stop.
(14:57):
So I mean she did mention to methat.
Oh yeah, you know, I I toldthem to stay away from your
property or whatever.
So, so that's that.
So, two weeks from that secondemail, I noticed I didn't see
(15:17):
any letter or anything go out.
So I followed up again.
I said, okay, this is my thirdemail and second follow-up, I
made the complaint abouteverything that has been going
on and I noticed I haven't seenanything go out.
(15:37):
And I said, in fact, I actuallywas forced to put my own note
on my door because not onlypeople were stalking and
harassing me, but they wereactually coming onto my porch,
putting things on my porch, youknow, and doing all sorts of
things on my porch, and I had toput a note on there about
(15:58):
trespassing and also harassmentbecause they were trespassing.
So, with that being said, thatthird email, I did not receive a
response at all.
So today makes one week since Isent out that email.
Now, today I did see an emailabout Handbook or something like
(16:22):
that that they created for thecommunity, which is going to be
released on October 3rd, aboutdifferent things, including how
to pay rent and things of thatnature, also community
guidelines and things of thatnature.
Right, but nothing specific towhat I had brought up.
(16:43):
Right Now, a handbook sendingan email and saying we have a
handbook, versus sending a noteabout a reminder of how handbook
versus sending a note about areminder of how you know to
behave is completely different.
And she never responded to me,right?
(17:04):
I had not received the thirdemail, did not?
I did not get a response right.
Whether or not that, whether ornot that handbook was, is
supposed to be the, the solution, or that's it's supposed to be
the letter that wasn'tcommunicated to me, and I don't
think that is an effective wayto address the current situation
.
In my opinion Also, I havereason to believe that there
(17:30):
were also some subliminal jabsmade in that email, in that
email about just maybe one ortwo bullets that I in my opinion
I'm not going to repeat what Ithink the bullets were or
whatever at this point and but Ijust think that there were some
subliminal jabs there, jabsthere.
(18:00):
So now I mentioned that I feltlike the workers, they felt
emboldened to continue theharassment and their
surveillance, because, you know,I just have reason to believe
that maybe they're beingencouraged to surveil, not only
do they want to surveil, butmaybe they're being encouraged
to surveil and also harass.
I don't know what else to thinkat this point.
(18:21):
And today I did see a car infront of my unit and it looked
like the property manager's car.
I don't know, I don't knowwhere.
(18:41):
You know why it was parkedthere and the timing of when I
walked outside and you know.
And the fact that in mysurveillance camera there were
missing footage, I don't know.
I don't know what to say.
Right, I don't want to make astatement like a definite
(19:05):
statement, but I have suspicions, right?
So it just seems like there's alot of collusion, you know,
going on, a lot of, you know, people are just basically those
that are supposed to actually beenforcing policies or actually
working against their ownpolicies or working against what
(19:26):
the law says in terms of, like, fair housing and things of that
nature.
So you know, potentially anoverreach of surveillance, you
know and and and things likethat, and so that that that's
that with with with that matter.
So today I discussed the thebasically gatekeepers actually
(19:56):
being part of the obstruction oractually partaking in the
harassment and the surveillance.
So I don't know what else tosay.
This is just me recording myexperience as a targeted
individual.
You know that.
(20:19):
You know, everywhere I turn, everyone I go to, they're saying
that there's nothing that theycan do, and, in some instances,
people that are supposed toactually be protecting you,
protecting your privacy, areactually the ones that are
partaking in it, and so I'mvoicing my frustration, I'm
(20:45):
voicing my experience, I'msharing my experience and I'm
hoping that you know somethingchanges, something shifts.
Today is Rosh Hashanah, so notonly is it the new year in the
Jewish calendar, but I believe,if I'm not mistaken, this is
(21:08):
also the new.
This is the first day of fall, right, I don't know, I think
today's the first day of fallfor 2025.
So it's a new season in so manydifferent ways, right,
spiritually in the Hebrewcalendar, but also in nature,
right, the seasons have changed,so hopefully, this is an
(21:30):
indication for me that thingswill change in terms of justice,
getting people to do the rightthing and not partake in
corruption and not basicallydismiss someone's report about
being stalked.
