Welcome to the dirt life show with your host George
Hamil. Yeah What is up guyswelcome to the dirt life show we
have a Baja 500 recap today. Itwas so crazy down in Mexico man.
Lots of fun, man. The pace wasjust unreal. We're gonna talk to
a bunch of people a bunch ofcool people we got Bryce Menzies

(00:29):
overall winner Trophy Truckwinner, Oren Anderson helped him
pilot that bad Menzies truck tothe finish line in first place.
We also got the players factoryguys, Brock, Hager, Ethan groom,
and Adam Arsenal gonna come on,talk to us about their overall
UTV win. And I think it's calledPro UTV unlimited. So that's

(00:50):
going to be pretty badass. BlakeWilkie everybody knows Blake
Wilkie and Harrison. We seethey're gonna come on kind of
crazy to see Blake in a UTVRight. Like we're used to seeing
him in a Volkswagen. We're usedto seeing him in his, like a
class 11 were you seeing him inhis trophy bug? So that'd be
cool to talk with him. Brianmore, do it for be more. He's

(01:13):
going to come on. Tell us how itwas looking at everything from
the sky dealing with the chasingwith the herbs, guys. Then they
did fantastic this weekend, too.
It was really cool to see. Ryanmill and Troy our excuse me,
Tim? Thor Pierce everybody. Sowe'll talk with him about that.
Maybe you can talk a littleabout the Starlink stuff. That

(01:35):
was pretty cool. And thenfinally we're going to talk with
the Moto dudes. So Maloo is sognarly in the desert. We're
gonna talk with Connor Eddie.
Matt columns, Matt Eddie. Maybetheir whole crew will join.
Where do you brace on in just asecond here with Oren. But first
I want to say thank you to allof our sponsors. You just saw

(01:55):
him right there. KMC wheelsthanks to the guys at Max's
tires. We have some cool stuff.
We're gonna give away a JeremyMcGrath Max's autographed podium
hat probably next week, when wedo our short course. First round
review. Thanks, guys. Motulthanks, guys over a shock
therapy. Go get yourself someshock therapy parsley got a new
website coming up. So you canget some discounts there using

(02:15):
the code dirt life. Thanks toall the guys the JL Audio for
keeping us pump in evolutionPower Sports. Thanks, Todd and
all those guys for making thatmuch power. Thanks to guys that
resigned to racing products andvision canopies, Kyle and Doug
retag and all those guys theyhad a really good race down in
Baja too. So alright, so withoutfurther ado, let's get Bryce and
or let's get get them going realquick. And thanks to James and

(02:44):
all the guys at img motorsportsfor letting us use the shop to
have the show. So appreciatethat. Bryce Menzies. What's up,
man.
What's happening, guys? How areyou?
We're doing pretty good. Dude, Iappreciate you coming on Oren.
What's up, dude? What's up,George? How you doing? Doing
good, man. So the way I see iton the screen, it's reversed
because Bryce is in thepassenger seat. And now Oren is

(03:07):
in the driver's seat. Is thatever going to happen? No, I have
a super fear of riding withanybody. I think I've only
written with like Rob MCAC roomonce
Jesse Jones. Other than that, Iterrified a variety person.
Was the was the best one to ridewith Robert Jesse.

(03:27):
Probably Jesse just because thestories and how much chaos goes
on at all the times.
I'll remember those forever.
Dude, no doubt. That'spretty cool, man. Hey, so we're
talking about the Baja 500 Yougot to still be on a pretty big
high man. Because dude, thatrace was pretty awesome. You
haven't won the Baja 500 In alittle while actually. But then

(03:48):
you come across the finish linefirst. You had all the fanfare
you got sprinkled by some beerat the end. You got the
champagne like it has appealfeel pretty good. Now that it's
set in?
Yeah, it's awesome. It's crazyto think that it's been almost
it's been nine years do you guyshave 14 was our last ball fight
honor win. So it just kind ofshows what the competition is

(04:10):
how tough ball is just a beatitself. So it was a cool moment,
just with the team. I think ourteam is really working really
hard trying to get these trucksto live. It's tough with all the
guys having all the drives nowhow the level of competition
that's at. So to get anotherwin. It always feels good. And

(04:31):
it just shows how hard it is.
It's been a year so pretty cool.
Well did.
So there's a couple things thatI get from that. So I have two
questions. But first andforemost, eight years trying and
trying and trying. That's alevel of dedication that most
people don't have. You shouldreally really give yourself some
props for that because that'shard work and dedication.

(04:53):
Yeah, no, that's a Aida itdidn't really I didn't really
realize it till they told me atthe finish like how long it's
been. It's been Same thing with1000. So it's tough to always
just keep coming back and tryingto win these races. But the
feeling that you get fromwinning is what you keep
fighting for what you keepstriving for. So it's pretty
cool to come away have a wholenew group club. I had my

(05:18):
daughter there. So it's prettycool to have that my wife, all
my friends, my family, prettymuch everybody on my team is my
family. So really cool to seeand experience again.
It is cool. Lauren, did you getto feel some of that emotion
coming? I know you have your ownemotion as well across the
finish line. But did you get tofeel some of that from Bryce and
all the people around you?

(05:38):
It's exactly like he says, youknow, we focus so much event to
event like you don't think abouthow long it's been since your
last big success at that event.
Like the year goes by prettyquick when you're just going
race to race. But when theyannounced that, and for me, I
mean, it's been even longer forme, like to be a part of a Baja
500 overall win like that. Andthat was my first I prepped

(05:58):
cars. That one overall, that wasmy first time for the Baja 500
actually navigating so that wasthat was a big one for me in the
right seat. Really? Yeah, yeah.
So I've been a part of teamsthat have won it when I was
helping work on their car, likewith herps and Riviera and stuff
like that back in the day. Butthat was my first in car

(06:18):
victory. And to get to do thatwith Bryce. I mean, I love
racing with bryce Bryce is byfar my my favorite driver, I'm a
fanboy of Bryce Menzies. But todo that, I just have the run
that we had. There's just agreat day. And it was awesome.
Man, the whole group is, is topnotch.
So I got a few questions. Butbefore we do that, I want to go
along with what Bryce wassaying, like with all the all

(06:40):
wheel drives and stuff, it'sbeen looking at kind of like a
development process, right? Youguys are both going through it
every time it gets worked up.
It's better the next race, it'sbetter than next race. But the
field is evening out a littlebit, right? Like it's kind of
stacking up so to speak, is itdifficult to keep up with those
trends and to like, keep pushingforward as you have to build and
develop the program?

(07:01):
Yes, definitely tough just justto prep a truck and get it ready
for a race is a feat in itself, and then also tried to be able
to go test, develop new stuff tobe different than the other
teams out there. Which is prettycool. And that's one thing that
I think keeps us around and myfamily around is my dad loves to
innovate, try new things. Sohe's always coming up with some

(07:25):
crazy ideas that we're allscratching our head out. But
that's kind of where you need togo with this sport to be ahead
of the next guy. So he's alwaystrying to see what's the next
thing to go, what's the nextthing? It's gonna be faster?
We're out there testing all thetime. So it just shows those
same guys, it seems like you'realways up front running, or the

(07:46):
guys that put in a ton of workton of time, and a ton of pre
running. So it's pretty cool tosee the level of competition
where it is that if you havelike one little smallest Vegas
seems like you're not going towin a race. Yeah, totally.
It's kind of crazy, right? We'regetting so many funny comments.
So thank you all for joining inhanging out with us. So one of
the things that I was thinkingalong that like, on a personal

(08:06):
note, as we get older, and likeas we develop as racers and just
human beings in general, I kindof feel like you guys are saying
the same thing that I figuredout in the last couple years.
Like I'm addicted to progress, like more than anything else. I
feel like you guys are the sameway.
Yeah, I wouldn't be doing it if,if I didn't look at it that way.
It's been like I said, it's been13 years since I've been trying

(08:28):
to win a ball with 1000s. So theway I look at defeat is as long
as we learned something from it,we understand what we did wrong
in what we could do goingforward, then it is just a
learning aspect. And it's how wego about it. And that's that's
daily life. You know, I thinkBaja and racing has really
helped me develop into a betterman a better father just because

(08:52):
of all the triumphs how hard itis down there, that stuff you go
through. It's never easy to it'snever going to get there for
sure.
It's weird how like, how it liketrains you for life, so to
speak, right? Hey, look, there'syour boy Jones you just signed
on to so what's up, Jesse? Allright. So we had some some fan
questions come in throughout, like the last week or so as we

(09:14):
were posting this and kind ofgetting ready for everything. So
one of the fans is actually partof your team. Wes Lafleur he
actually said Oren How was howabout that line to pass Luke? I
guess it was some sketchy linelike where there was a massive
cliff on the sideyeah, both both those lines
right there the loop the lineLuke was on the line we're on

(09:35):
they're both like it's rightafter you're dropping down the
summit. They're both hairy theone he was on his like these big
rock steps. And we took thelonger line around just to get
some clean air and and Brycewanted to make a run and try and
get the passing but I mean, theywere not like bitch and pass
lines like neither one of theseI wanted to go fast sound so cut
price price picked it up alittle bit. It looked like Luke

(09:58):
might might have already beenlimping at that point maybe a
little bit with the steering ortrying to save the truck. And
And Bryce Yeah, it was It wasn'teven a trophy truck with line
that were Banzai and down andit's passenger side is cliffside
so I'm just like, I feel likeI'm already freefall and hanging
off this thing. But but it wasreally cool in that moment to
get around and then have cleanair the rest of the day from

(10:20):
there but yeah, it was thesummit sketchy man there's some
good pucker spots on thatsection for sure.
How does that work? Right soorange just say hey, go this way
and you're like, oh, shit, now Igotta freakin squeeze the
Charmin through this line orwhat
we we pre ran both of those inlike our better line with the
left line which loot hookingcoming down. I kind of said

(10:42):
whatever one he takes, we'regoing to take the other one and
right when he went left, I wentright. And I went to go push and
actually right when we're in it,right, I clicked a big rock. I
didn't even see it. Somehow itgrabbed the wheel and actually
bent the steering. Probably just15% to the left. And right
there. I'm like, Are you kiddingme? Like really, we didn't need

(11:03):
to do that when we erase my 100So I've erased the rest of the
race with the steering wheelpaddles bent to the left but it
worked out to pass anybody onthe summit is not fun. It's not
where you want to pass somebody.
It's Rocky it's sketchy. So werealized I think Luke was having
an issue and right there I justwanted to get around and before
he slowed us up anymore with theissue us having so it was fun to

(11:23):
get around and then we kind ofjust cruise from there.
It is so crazy. Like thatprobably like those emotions
where those decisions probablyhappened 169 times as you guys
are out there right like becausethere's so many split second
decisions like was thereanything else sketchy that you
guys were like do that was aclose? Well, I would say

(11:47):
towards the end once we gotthrough sand positi where it
drops down through the coast. itup we had a really big lead and
my dad's like alright, justchill. You guys are good crews
it from here. And I took my eyeoff the ball for one second and
it came over rise and Orencalled it rock on right in the
rear just stepped out and Icaught this rock and I thought I
thought it broke the caliber therotor like ruined the race. My

(12:10):
heart literally fell through mychest and I started to freak out
a second words like do you letme get out? Look, he got out
everything was fine. But it'smoments like that that. I mean,
I couldn't tell the last mile ofthe ball 500 Something had
happened. So you never know whatthat race?
Dude. Yeah, it's kind of crazy, right? Like, but that like, I
don't know, the feeling of raceror being in the in the truck,

(12:31):
driver seat, passenger seat, whatever it is, like, I don't
know, you've got like, it'ssomething that you can't like,
give up because you're always onedge the whole time. And then
it's like when you cross thefinish line, you still can't
breathe, but it's like you tooka deep breath.
Absolutely, like, I don't wantto celebrate or get excited
until that we're past thecheckered flag. Like even on the

(12:52):
37 mile an hour, you know, 10mile long speed zone to the
finish line. Like I'm stillholding my breath till I know
the time stopped and we're outof it. Like it's just one of
those things where even knowingyou've been like Bryce ran a
great race. We had a comfortablelead for for the better part of
the day. But it's like, I didn'twant to even think anything that
would jinx that. And with ourluck. I mean, we're kind of the

(13:13):
kings of the Trophy Truck. Badluck. And if it can happen, it
does happen to us. So I justwant to shut my mouth until we
get past the checkers. I don'tstart smiling until this
somebody hands me a beer.
Yeah, exactly. I saw thathappen, too. But yeah, so first
of all, congratulations, or thefans sprinkle some beer on you.
Right. Well, so let that wascool to see. Like there was a

(13:36):
couple of videos that showedthat man like just the
appreciation of all the fans inbajas kitchen.
It's, uh, it's pretty cool. I'vewon a lot of races. And that was
probably one of the coolestmoments was we were kind of
cruising through and we got to alittle drive back to where our
hotel is. So we put our helmetson and I was pretty smart to put
my bumper on shut my visor andor just had his helmet on the

(13:56):
visor open. And the first guyhanded me a beer and I took it
and kind of did the, the shakepart. And all of a sudden, we
just started getting doused in.
It was one of those coolcelebrations, and then we got
through and I look over andthere's literally beer just like
pouring down or in space. It wasone of them.
That's awesome. Aidan Gleason'sradio shout out What's up,

(14:17):
buddy? Yeah, so like, take usback a little bit because the
race didn't go perfectly smooth.
Like you still had to change thetires, you still had to make
sure that you were in the pitsand stuff. But one of the
comments that came in was sayingthat look, Orion, it was like
lightning fast changing tires, this race where you use your
spinach or what didyou know? It's those things
that, you know, track positions, everything in a race like this,

(14:40):
right? So knowing who was behindus knowing where we were and
how, how the pace of the racewas going to be? I mean, we
probably ran it. We pre ran foreight days. So we saw it get
dusty and silty and it's notsomething where we didn't want
to be back any farther thanthird. Right? So if you have a
slow tire change with howcompetitive that field is right
now like if you're slow tirechange or losing position. So I

(15:02):
had just mentally been grilling, like the procedure of where
exactly I grab on the strapwhere I clip it, how long trying
to get my end as quick and just, you know, methodical as possible
so that if we did have to stop,it was just as smooth as
possible on my end. I mean, there's so much unpredictable
stuff that happens when you getout of the truck for a tire
change or anything that, youknow, just trying to be smooth

(15:24):
and fast and not make anymistakes. I'll get in as quick
as possible. And hopefully keepBryce in the same spot that we
are in, dude. Yeah, that's kindof crazy, right? Because it's
almost like muscle memory inyour brain. And like, all of a
sudden, everything just startslining up and matching. Bryce,
we have a couple questions comein. One of the questions
for that is that guy changed thefirst hire, I want to say it was

(15:47):
less than 40 seconds. Oh, it wasa thing. I swear I'm gonna get
I'm gonna get a time. But thefirst one right when I got it, I
was, uh, I feltI got it. I earned it. I felt it
slide into a rock on the outsidewall. And it in blew it out
right away. And my dad's like, alright, called over the radio
to our pit. And it's only Ithink it was only like a mile or
something. And they're like, just drive it to the road. But I

(16:09):
knew I couldn't make it. And I'mlike, Dude, if we get passed
right here, like, it's gonna bea long day. And we pulled over
and he got out. And by the timehe got back in, I literally was
just looking at him. Like, didyou even change the tire? So I
think he had two of those thatwere 40 seconds. And then the
other two were like 45. So justunreal day,
dude, that's wild. So like whenhe was banging on the side of

(16:31):
the truck to let the jack down?
Were you like do what issomebody else?
I thought something was going onlike an issue. But it's crazy
how fast he's gotten in tochange those tires and how heavy
they are. It's pretty cool.
That'swhat I'm saying. You've been
eating your Wheaties or Idid sometimes. You know every
dog has its day. That was likemy day right there. Right? We
clicked it down. We got it done.

(16:53):
I didn't. It definitely doesn'tfeel that fast when you're in
the when you're going throughit. But the only thing I've
learned is that the faster youdo them, the less tired you get.
So if I can just fast I'm notbreathing and hard reading the
next one. So when you're tryingit but I don't know after
hearing those times. I don'teven think that's real. So got
to kind of see what I can doto stay out. It would be kind of
cool if we could figure it allout. Alright, so Bryce, we had a

(17:16):
question come in. How fast canthe trophy truck go? I want to
say somemine. I think we ran 145 was
like the top speed on it that wedid. Oh, how does that feel in a
trophy truck Fred some of theaudience that can never ever
feel that in their life. It's,it's asked enough. Honestly,
you're driving a 7000 poundmissile through the desert at

(17:40):
140 miles an hour is prettyincredible. There's only so many
people that have been luckyenough to do it. And it's one of
those amazing feats for sure.
So I saw I want to wind thisdown a little bit cuz we got to
get the Polaris guys on in likethree minutes here. But I saw
some videos from a reallyawesome video guys named Justin

(18:03):
Chase. And I don't know if youguys know him, but do some of
the car control that I saw youhave at this year's 500. Bryce
was honestly it was mindblowing. Like we're talking
about r&b and onpoint like doinghis tire changes, like the whole
team seemed to have this likeextra level of synergy, right
you behind the wheel them in thepits or in in the CO driver see

(18:24):
orange changing tires? Like, what gives you guys that little
advantage? I mean, is it justpractice and muscle memory? Or
is it just a vibe?
I would say it's a little bit ofboth. But also it's it's your
connection with your co driver, you have to feel confident when
you're driving into a corner.
Now now that he likes to Inoticed when I start to scare
him, he'll call out mile, mileper hour. He's like, Hey, we're

(18:48):
going to this corner at 120miles an hour. But if I don't
trust that guy and believe thatHe knows exactly what he's
saying, I'm going to slow down.
So I think the guy behind thecamera filming always makes it
look way better than it is. ButI don't know the reason that I
could go that fast just becausethe notes that I'm getting and
how comfortable we are in thecall. Yeah, there

(19:09):
was a couple times I don'tremember what it was. But it was
one video that was posted. Itwas almost like short course
style, right? Like, it lookedlike you started the corner. I
don't know it was probably maybea 16th of a mile ahead and you
started getting crooked and Iwas just like Dude, he's
pointing perfect pointingperfect. And then all of a
sudden you could see you justbarely get on the gas and it was

(19:29):
like just started biting and Iwas like Dude, that was the most
crispy perfect corner so I canonly imagine how it felt in the
vehicle.
There he had like all thehundreds of corners like that
right where it's just like it'sset up. It was like for me
that's the closest I'll ever getto being in like a pro for but I
told him after the race likethis section finishing the
crossover road on like thosefast pleated roads and then

(19:52):
going up to Santa Tomas, whereit's that's like that I don't
think there's a section Bryce'sbetter trained and prepared for
that stuff. Like, I have to letgo the seat after those sections
of like, like, I'm still callingnotes the whole time, but I grip
my seat so hard just like I'mnot ready to back into a corner
at 98 miles an hour. I'm justlike, I gotta relax for a little

(20:14):
bit to just chill out and getback into it after that. It's
it's a it's an insane rush ridewith that guy.
Dude, it just hearing thosestories like, you know, when
you're on a roller coaster forpeople that haven't been in a
trophy truck, like I can onlyimagine that feeling dude, it's,
it's gotta be so cool. Like mebeing the host and obviously the
people that are listening. It'sso cool to get that level of

(20:34):
detail from you guys. So Iappreciate it. Alright, so we
got to get the hilarious guys onwell let leave you with one last
question. Bryce, you go firstand then orange, you go second.
What was your favorite part ofthe whole weekend race?
Man.
Honestly, I would say myfavorite part was getting to the
compound after we won and justseeing my daughter it's pretty

(20:57):
cool where my mindset used to gofrom like winning a race to
losing the race it was really upand down my emotions and now
it's no matter what happens aslong as I get back to her and
just seeing how excited she wasand and that we could all be
down there and have a familyvibe is what it's all about. So
these races will come and go buthonestly, it's all about family
vibe. And I think that was oneof the coolest moments here.

(21:19):
Yeah, heart.
All right, or And what aboutyou, buddy?
coolest moment for me. You know, like my family was back at home
they're watching so I didn'thave one of those connections.
But definitely like just comingin and celebrating with the team
after that when sliding into thecompound on the trophy truck and
having everyone there and likeBryce said earlier the family
atmosphere that that part wasgreat. But the the beer shower

(21:42):
trip. I was we were talkingabout like next time we finished
the race like I'm grabbing beerfor the weekend. Get out. I'm
going to host those people backbecause I was but I'm not coming
in empty handed. Do anotherfreakin beer fight.
You gotta come in with your ownammo. Yeah, yeah, for sure. All
right, boys. Hey, thank you verymuch. Congratulations for

(22:03):
everything. Is there anythingelse you got? You want to thank
anybody before we get theplayers and guys lOn.
I just want to thank all thefans of Baja. Thank you for
having us on. We love racingdown there. It's really cool to
see how they greet us how coolit is. And my hat's off to one a
man this guy's one badass codriver,
not a deer. Thank you for thekind words Bryce I appreciate

(22:23):
it.
makes the dream work. Thanks, boys. Enjoy your family. Enjoy
your night. We'll see you guyslater. Congratulations, you
guys. Thank you. Alright, solet's get rock Hager on here.
We're going to get Ethan groomhim arsenal, the overall winners
in the UTV class as well. Andthe I think it's called Pro UTV

(22:47):
unlimited as well. Thank youguys all for commenting in and
hanging out with us too. Good tosee you guys. What's up, Brock?
How are you? Good. It's good tosee you, man. How's it feel to
be a Baja 500 winner?
Feels good. I've never won oneof those. So it obviously feels
good. Yeah,we're gonna get your co driver,
Ethan groom on here real quick, too. And then Adam arsenal is

(23:08):
going to join us as well. Let meget him dialed in. Ethan, what's
up? What's up? How you guysdoing? How are you? Feeling
great did oh, I'm gonna giveeverybody a little bit of a
background here. So Brock Hagerhas been a short course, Ace for
a long time. You can drive. Butyou have an opportunity now to

(23:31):
be a big desert guy now. So withPolaris factory off road racing
team, it's been pretty cool tosee you kind of get used to
things. You've done a few racesin the past and desert rock, but
you're kind of learning at thesame time. Right. So it was
really cool to see on the topstep of the podium. I can only
imagine what it felt like foryou.
Yeah, no, it was good. I mean, obviously, I've grown up since

(23:55):
2008. Doing short course fulltime. And then yeah, I don't
know the past four years. Kindof doing both. And then
obviously with the the nuclearprogram I'm I'm full time
desert. I have no plans of shortcourse, though, I think on my
agenda is desert. So it's thefirst time for that. And

(24:17):
obviously just putting my focusfully towards desert racing and
in the playoffs program.
Yeah, that's kind of crazy howit works. Hey, real quick, Adam,
please go just update yourInstagram app on your phone and
then you should be able to login. So anyways, Ethan it's
pretty cool to be able to bepart of the team as well because
not only do you get to learn alot, but you probably actually

(24:38):
get to help and I don't want tosay teach Brock because he
doesn't mean much teaching butExcel the program because you've
done desert racing for quite awhile. Yeah, it's super cool to
be able to be a part and kind oflike bring my own kind of my own
personality and into the teamand kind of really mess with all
the guys over there. And it'sreally good programming over
there. And I'm glad they gave methe opera. Tuna any kind of help

(25:01):
out and it's going great so far.
Yeah, it really does seem likeit is going great. Like the
whole team actually did reallywell this race and that San
Felipe to one of the things Iwas going to ask you rock is
since you're not like youhaven't had that much desert
racing experience, I know youhave but how was the pace this
race compared to like whatyou're used to in the past with
the limited amount of desertracing you've done? Because to

(25:23):
me, it looked insane fast. Um, Iactually just got that question
the other day, and yeah, and Ithink it's, it's different, you
know, I've a very certain carfor a few years, which, which
they're pretty bulletproof. Soyou can push those cars every
six 100. You're pushing thosecars? And obviously with the the

(25:45):
short amount of time that I havein a UTV? I don't know, I don't
know the limits quite yet. So Iwould say our pay wasn't what
I'm used to, obviously shortcourse. I mean, it's, it's all
you got, and in your 10 minutesor two minutes span, but I felt
like we were cruising, I think,I think the team and the cars

(26:09):
and everyone was involved in ourside has a little bit more work
to do. I think I think we can upour pace and, and get these cars
to hopefully beat the 10 carsand hopefully beat some other
classes.
You guys were up there prettyhigh. Do you remember what the
overall position you guysfinished? In was Ethan?

(26:30):
I don't know. I was in the 20s,mid 20s. We were in there. We
were heading most of the traincars. Kind of right there at the
edge. It's 60 or 100. Guys,today.
It's pretty crazy, though.
Right? Like that's fast. Yeah,it's definitely a big, it's a
lot faster than I thought we'dbe going. And so it's pretty
cool. Like, we had over 100miles an hour out at the start.

(26:50):
And that's the fastest I've everbeen in a car. It was a little
scary, but Brock knew he wasdoing so wherever you do, that's
cool, man. So UTV can go thatfast. Do you remember what your
top speed was?
What it was? Dude, that's insane how fast these
views can go right? I've heard acouple of people saying they got
like, I don't know 112 Orsomething like that. But
anything dudelike in a stock car. I've done.

(27:11):
I've done that, which is prettywild. It was it was bone stock.
It is wild. I remember doingsome short course races like
when we went up to Reno and wewere coming down that big hill
like in the wax season we hit 97and I was like, Dude, I don't
know if I feel very much morecomfortable going that fast and
a UTVYeah, no, it's pretty wild. It's
pretty wild. Just given the factthat anyone can go by pretty

(27:32):
much and and do the same thing.
It's pretty much what this classis about what these cars with
the whole UTV scene is about soobviously it's it's cool that
that anyone can do it and and dowhat we're doing. Dude,
it is pretty badass. Right? Youcan get out of the dealership
and buy one atom arsenal. What'sup, dude? How are you? Hey,

(27:54):
how'sit going, George? Thanks for
having me on. Yeah, absolutely.
Man, you gotta be pretty proudof the boys bringing home a
victory.
Absolutely, yeah, that wasreally exciting to see one of
the one of the brand new 2023Polaris factory chassis is
initialized first.
So we're talking to Bryce alittle bit about this, right
like how off road racing takesso much behind the scenes work
and stuff like that, like giveus a little bit of a background

(28:16):
on what kind of stuff you guysdo to prepare the car for Brock
and for Ethan to get into it andmake sure that crosses the
finish line first of all, andthen obviously give them a good
car to be able to win. Yeah, nowthere's a lot of work that goes
on behind the scenes I mean,we've got a whole shop of full
time guys here who werethrashing nonstop in the in the
weeks leading up to a race tomake sure that they've got the

(28:37):
best possible car they have youknow, ideally we want to have
zero downtime during the raceyou know, a day like like rock
and Ethan head where they don'thave to stop or anything
unplanned. And that's kind ofthe goal you know, when it
before it even starts.
That's actually a really goodthing to say. When it before it
starts you guys got to feelpretty confident Ethan, in the
machinery and stuff. Haven'tdudes like Adam behind you? Oh,

(29:00):
yeah. And the whole team overthere. They're all great. I
actually stopped by earliertoday, it is awesome, the spares
off from the race. And they'realready working hard. It's only
been three days since the raceand they're full force back at
it all day long. And so it'spretty cool to see the amount of
time that's been put into thesecars. And it really gives us
confidence going to the startline knowing that these cars are
ready to race. Yeah, that'stotally cool. Well, that

(29:21):
actually brings up a good point, though, is like there's a lot
that happens behind the scenes, like how much do you guys as
drivers get an understanding ofwhat's going on behind the
scenes like in the pits andchasing and stuff like that? Or
do you just leave that to theguys that are in the chase
trucks?
Adam, Adam obviously makes itsuper easy on us. That's kind of

(29:42):
his deal is preparing everythingand and obviously we get to see
it. You know, we go to the teammeetings, we get a we get to
hear everything, you know, theday before the race and kind of
what the plan is so um, I haveto give a huge thanks to Adam
and Ryan and You know, everyoneat the shop, they, they put way

(30:03):
more effort than me into it,obviously and they give me the
easy part to go drive. So that'skind of that's kind of how it
goes. I tried to obviously repaythem back by by doing what we
did at the 500. And and youknow, those guys they work their
butts off and and make it supereasy for for me and Ethan and
the whole rest of the boys to doget home the gold is no small

(30:26):
feat and and you accent allhumble over here. That's a
pretty hard job. But yeah, you're right though, like, Adam,
can you give us a little bit ofunderstanding like what they're
talking about, like what doeshappen logistically because
like, every time I see it for atrophy truck team, a UTV team,
even like a class 11 team or,you know, the on the lower left
little Johnny racer got, logistically, it's insane to

(30:46):
take a vehicle 500 miles throughthe desert. Absolutely.
And that's, that's kind of myarea of expertise here on the
teams make sure we've got theright people with the right
equipment in the right place atthe right time. So that, you
know, all Brock and Ethan haveto do is just keep the car
moving. And we're gonna be therewaiting for him with fuel and

(31:07):
tires and whatever they need.
You know, at the 500, they wereable to do that they kept the
car moving, they kept it up run,and we gave them fuel when they
needed. In spite of that therewere still some some unplanned
challenges that we had to gothrough. Neither one of them had
to get on the car all day long, which is a testament to just the
all the engineering and prepthat went into the car and in
our BF Goodrich tires. But youknow, we still had a few small

(31:27):
hiccups. Two of our other cars, our team, Austin Weiland, and
Caden Catherine, you know, theyhad some suspension failures
early on. And our concern wasthat we know we didn't want
Brock to have a similar failure.
So we kind of had an unplannedemergency stop for him at the BF
Goodrich pit at Pitou Borrego, and we just got a quick visual

(31:47):
on the car to make sure that theissues we had and the other two
cars, you know, didn't playagain later on in the day. So
that was great. Having BFGoodrich tires board out there,
it kind of expands, you know, wehad a lot of support out there
trucks and and equipment. Buthaving their support as well
kind of allows us to spread thataround more. And then we had a
few issues with fuel. And youknow, we we had technical issues

(32:08):
at our second fuel pit. And ourpressurized fueling system
didn't operate the way we wantedto we had to switch to the
backup with dump cans. So he hada little bit of a longer fuel
pit there than we had planned.
And there were some concerns hepossibly got short fueled. So
even even after that we had asecond unplanned stopped kind of
splashing with some dumpkinsfrom a non team member, you
know, we reached out that'swhat's great about Baja is

(32:28):
everybody's you know there tohelp out however they can so
reached out to some friends withRancho racing and they splash
them real quick when he got overto the highway one. So he can
make it up to the final pit andbring it in for the win.
Dude, that's so crazy. And likeso there's a lot of logistical
portions, like you can plan allyou want, but you got to be out,
like operate on the fly, too. Iyou know, I was thinking, I

(32:50):
think you have some militaryexperience, right? 20 years or
so. And that probably helped youin all of these decision making
processes. I was actually Iposted a video on my personal
social media yesterday, choicesare some of the most important
things that you have in life.
And that made a big differencein the when you got to the
finish line in first yourchoices. Yeah, absolutely. I

(33:12):
think there's a lot ofsimilarities here between
between the military and anoffer racing because it's all
about, you know, you you planfor the worst and hope for the
best and it's about overcomingdoubt and overcoming those
challenges and obstacles thatare in front of you.
Yeah, I guess because it's it'severybody has to do that. Right?
They got to do that rock youhave to do it in the driver's
seat. Actually, Ethan probablydoes it even more in his mind

(33:32):
keeping you on track adjustingand making sure everything's
good. And then all the guysbehind the scenes that's pretty
wild to thinkabout. Yeah, for sure. There's a
lot that goes on that. Not thepublic eye gets to see.
It's cool though, man. Like thatmakes me feel pretty good. Like
just thinking about it. Well,I'm kind of confused in my head
at the same time. It feelspretty cool to understand that

(33:54):
and Brock you gotta be pumpedbecause that team is so good
behind you.
Yeah, no. I mean, Adam Adams thehe's the guy when it comes to
that stuff. So it makes it easyon me and Ethan you know, we
just we just try to putourselves in good shoes and and
let it play out and know thatthat any moment we can that Adam

(34:16):
is going to one way or anotherget us there and give us the
best shot at winning the heckyeah, yeah.
Was there any sketchy momentslike when you were out on
course?
No, I mean, I was I was watchingBryce's deal you know, and he
had like the story of hangingoff the edge. We never really we

(34:37):
never had anything that was likeshoot. At least me personally.
Ethan my on the other hand, belike oh, there was this and that
and and all this stuff but forthe most part I we had an
honestly a perfect day. Ethan'snever got sketch sheets never
did anything. Ethan's likeI don't get scared. No. That was
my favorite part of writing withBrock. Is it so smooth. And you

(34:59):
realize how fast that you'rerunning in the piece that you're
running until you look down atthe speedometer and oh, wow,
we're gonna run really fast andit just feels so controlled. We
got a couple of questions thatcame in how many pre run miles
do you guys do?
1700 I mean, really? 1700 miles.
Yeah. I'm not sure how muchAustin and encouraging them did,

(35:22):
but uh, me and Katie were downthere for a while. We were
having fun. And that's what uh,it was obviously a bummer seeing
Caden and Austin and Craig havesome issues because they equally
put in just as much work as Idid. Yeah, exactly.
Jeff Jones just asked what miledid it get dark for you guys do

(35:44):
you rememberwe got dark at the end of the
speed zone of Oh hose started togo down so probably I don't know
five miles after the speed zoneis when it was actually dark. So
at that point we were prettymuch done we were pretty much
there. It was just a matter ofgetting there and keep it on the
road and getting that nice longspeed zone to the finish

(36:10):
out and like when you thinkabout it a couple of years ago
like there was almost no way aUTV could finish before at dark
like that's insane the pace dudeyeah, absolutely it's it's
incredible how far they've comeand how much competition there
is in the class now you knowit's it's getting tighter and
tighter and that's what we'refocusing a lot on our pit and
logistics strategy because it'sgonna come down where it's it's

(36:31):
like the trophy trucks where ifyou have one issue you know
you're gonna win or lose by byminutes or even seconds so we
want to make sure that style soit's definitely yeah Brock's
Brock's been humble, but youknow, his smooth driving and
keeping the car alive is isdefinitely you know, important
aspect of it aswell. Yeah, totally us that was
UTV said you boys around akiller place well done yet and
so that's kind of what we'retalking about is the pace like

(36:53):
to me like I still I can't getover it in my head to understand
the pace like that pace was sofast for a UTV but I think about
it as well like, Brock's helpingto grow Adam you're helping to
grow Ethan, you're helping togrow like the whole industry is
elevating and going faster, right? Like all of these things,
the truck the cars are beingbuilt better, like all these

(37:13):
cool things are happening. Let'ssee here professional, drywall
finishing asked. Hey, Brock, didyou drive the entire course
start to finish?
Yes, sir. Start to finish thatat all.
Were you pretty end like, okay, at the end?
Um, no, it wasn't bad. It was.
You know, there was there wasstuff that was obviously keeping

(37:35):
me going, having no issues madeit nice and easy. Obviously,
going into San Tomas, I wasbehind Lesnar, you know, and,
obviously, he was, he was downfrom his race and, and I was
leading my race. So I was like,You know what I want to, I want
to try and get him and I was onhis bumper horn, Push to Pass
everything and he bolted. So Iwas like, I was like, as much as

(37:59):
I want to run them down. I'mlike, it's the last thing I
should do. But I ended upcatching back up to him. He went
off on a vine. I went on anotherone and passed him. So when I
did that, it was like, Okay, that's pretty cool. That's a
mason Ford truck truck that Ijust passed. So that obviously
filled me up. And you know, there's just little stuff like

(38:21):
that that obviously kind ofkeeps you going and having a
good day obviously made a lot.
So those little victories dude, like it's so funny like the
mentality of a racer, right,Adam because like those little
things, they're like, Yeah,dude, let's go out literally a
little motivationto kind of you know, refill the

(38:41):
refill that tank and get youthrough the petrol on
like, Alright, we gotta getBlake, Wilkie and Harrison we
saw on here that we're gonnatalk more about some clarity
TVs. But So Ethan, how has itbeen being in the passenger seat
compared to the driver's seat?
It's been different. I'd onlydone it a couple of times before
racing with Brock. And so thebiggest thing for me that like I

(39:03):
had to learn was pre running.
For all like the best of thedesert races stuff, we don't
really get to do much prerunning, or we don't get do any
prewriting at that. And so it'skind of nice to be able to show
up a week early and get notes inand really get your homework
done before the race starts.
Yeah, it really is. And that's awhole team thing, right? Like
the whole teamwork makes thedream work. Because all of you

(39:24):
come together and put togethergood notes and you put together
a good car and you can exchangeinformation. Like every single
person on the team can grow andlearn more and more and more
every single time that you guysgo out. It's pretty it's pretty
awesome. All right, so we got towind it down. Brock, let's start
with you. Then we'll go to eatand then we'll go to Adam. Just

(39:45):
throw a shout out to the peoplethat helped you and maybe just
tell us a little bit about whereyou haven't thank.
Yeah, I mean, obviously you gotto give up to Ethan for, for
keeping me going all day.
Players razor for everythingthey do. I mean, these cars are
They're insane. And going backto the times and you're
surprised that they're finishingso early is just where these

(40:07):
cars are going. This is crazyfor, for the everyday consumer,
the whole shop, the whole SCIgroup, all the mechanics, you
know, they've worked their buttsoff, especially Johnny, and
everyone that supports us. Imean, there's there's a huge
list of, of sponsors thatsupport us. And obviously we
couldn't do without them.

(40:30):
Yeah, I agree with that.
Speaking to Johnny, that'sreally cool that you mentioned
him too, because he's been doinga killer job. But one of the
things that I want to talk aboutis Johnny snare always looks so
good.
He has permanent Joe, it doesn'tcome out. It's up in the
morning, and it's just done.
Yeah, wakes up and it's justbeautiful. Alright, even your
turn buddyreally brought forgive me this

(40:52):
opportunity. Craig Scanlon andTravis Clark for let me come on
to the team and help out andthen Ryan and Adam and all the
crew guys over there for doingwhat they do and for putting in
the time and the shop and forlogistics. So that way we can
have our smooth races that wereable to add it was great, and we
definitely wouldn't have beenable to win without all of them.
Did I agree? 100%. All right,Adam.

(41:15):
I just gotta thank Brock andEthan for driver looking with
race and, and getting that thiswin, you know, we provided them
a car that was capable ofwinning, and they brought across
the line. So a lot of hard workthere. And then all the all the
support from Polaris, I mean,it's great, the players have
stepped up and made this programpossible and is really, you
know, brought an OEM back intothe sport and is wanting to
compete at this level. And thenfinally, just all the volunteers

(41:36):
that come down and provide uswith Chase support and pit
support, you know, we wouldn'tbe able to do any of this
without.
And then it just goes to showall the hard work. Right. So,
victory number one with the bossGreg Scanlon at San Felipe and
Max, Eddie, and then victorynumber two, so two pro its pro
unlimited UTV I think is whatit's called to pro unlimited UTV

(41:56):
win so far. And score rightnow open. Yeah. UTV Pro.
Super cool, man. All right.
Thanks, boys. Really appreciateit. We will talk to you guys
soon. Thank you adulation. Makesure you guys Alright, so we're
gonna get Blake Wilkie andHarrison waists on real quick
and then talk to them a littlebit about their journey in the

(42:17):
their Polaris as well. Let's seehere. Actually, I want to talk
about something as we wait toget those guys on. I want to
talk about like, steal the Yeah, pro UTV open. Thanks, Nelson.
It's just so wild to me tounderstand the pace that all
these drivers are going thesedays. You're going let's get
Harrison on. These cars can goso fast. I've said it before on

(42:41):
the show. I took a stock photoart and went and pre ran at the
California 300 race in Barstowand we're doing at three miles
an hour down some single trackand a stock car. It was insane
how fast the pace was that wecould go. Alright, hold on a
sec. Arison. Let's see, actuallywe'll wait for Blake to come on,
Harrison. What's up, dude?

(43:02):
What's up, buddy? Howare you? Good, man. Hey, so I
kind of want to say that you'renew to desert racing. I
mean, you've been around it along time. But get your driving
shoes on. It's pretty cool tosee man and the pro ours giving
you a platform to get out thereand do it too. Yeah, it's the
desert stuff is all veryfamiliar to me. I've been going

(43:23):
to the desert my whole life. Butthe racing scene is all fresh
and new. I've kind of begincomfortable pretty quick with
it. But yeah, it's been it'sbeen an experience and this Baja
race thought back pretty hard.
So well. Well, oh, severalscenes had a primary clutch
explode at mile 137. That tookan hour to change with my co

(43:45):
driver Spencer. And then we'resix miles from handing the car
off to Blake and ran out of gas.
And then Blake got the car, hehad a good run all the way up to
bow miles 348 on the coast rightin the bottom corner, and the
wheel lugs backed off and thedrivers rear and took out the

(44:07):
wheel took out the rotor. So thepit three guys had a spare hub
that I gave them. So they wentover there took two hours to
straighten it all up, pinch, pinch the brake line off and get
going again. And then Blake madeit another 22 miles before the
upper ball joint backed out andpulled out alarm and that ended

(44:27):
it at about 230 in the morning.
Doyou guys get like I mean, it's
just a learning curve, right?
Like there's so many littlethings that happen like we're
just talking about the playersfactory guys. Like there's so
many little things that happenduring a race that it's
unexpected. You just have to beupdating and changing your
strategy and keep going andmoving forward like and when you

(44:48):
have I don't want to say failureis not the right word. But when
you have learning experienceslike what you guys had, you have
adjustments that you can make toget better the next racer.
Yeah, it's I mean, it's kindalike writing it down in your
notes in your phone and learningoff of it, maybe checking the
wheel lugs that each pit, youknow, could be a better thing
for the future and, and havingthe newer updated clutch players

(45:10):
came out with and, and luckily,I'm getting the whole X travel
front end next week. So thatshould eliminate a lot of front
end stuff. And yeah, just keepprogressing up, you know, it's a
stack sealed, having 20 cars inthat class down there is crazy.
And every car is built to hell.
And just jumping in with my seattrying to get my feet wet is a
big, big thing. So definitelylearning off every single race

(45:32):
so far, unfortunately, or zeroand four in this car so far. But
I mean, every time you'regetting better at navigating
with the CO driver and getting afaster pace, you know, just
trying to learn every moment ofthe way so that all of a sudden
we'll get a win.
What are some of the things thatyou guys have learned or you've
learned since you will kind ofnewbie added so to speak.

(45:57):
I think my driving as improved alot just with having the pace
being way higher, and having tolearn when to push when to back
off. And the Baja race kind oftaught me to just chill more,
which I'm not super used to withany of this yet. And just trying

(46:17):
to back off and be able to knowthat I have to get the car to
the next person. Because Ihaven't had to do that yet in
any other racing. Other thanthat learning the navigation
stuff, I've never had to havesomeone in my ear talk to me the
whole time telling me where togo what to do and when to hit
the brakes when to chill outwhen to get faster. So that's
also been a different change ofpace for me. But we've been

(46:40):
getting a lot better and betterper race with the words and
getting it out faster and metrying to listen to it when I
can. Yeah,it's kind of crazy though, like
because we were just talkingwith Bryce Menzies about it.
Like, I've noticed that I as Iget older and I'm addicted to
progress, right. And I think itwas bred from racing like you
always want to get better andbetter. Right. Like I feel like

(47:00):
you're saying the kind of thesame thing.
Yeah, definitely. I hope thateach race kind of what I'm
seeing with Navigator wiseSpencer's been getting better
with his words, trying to getcomfortable with saying certain
stuff that I want to hear fromhim. And he was on it really
good. We had really good notes,or works, because we did not go

(47:20):
down there and pre run at all.
Yeah, trying to get better withthe navigation stuff because I
feel like my driving skill isthere. But me having to list
someone else is definitely alearning progress on its own.
Yeah, totally Blake Wilkiewhat's up? Dude, it's kind of
crazy. I was thinking about it.
Like, this morning. Actually.

(47:42):
We're used to seeing you in theclass. 11 like a trophy bug. I
don't know if you can still hearus, Blake, but we're talking
about you. Is dude it's systemsbogging out. Yeah. TF sucky Wi
Fi at the shop. Harrison. It's,there's no Wi Fi it's shop.
Like we're gonna have to haveyou go outside and then get a

(48:04):
cell phone service up. It's kindof crazy though, like seeing
Blake get in all these differentvehicles was he like nervous or
anything driving, not his ownrig. And then obviously a player
now.
He's so comfortable in anythinghe puts his mind to. The whole
getting him in the car wassomething that was planned when
I finished the car. And as I wasbuilding it, we kind of talked

(48:26):
about one or two races this yearto kind of share the duties with
it. I don't really trust anyonedriving. Oh, it's been with him.
Yeah. And we're really goodfriends. We're kind of all in
this together. All of ourpartners are the same. So being
able to have him behind thewheel knowing that well, if we

(48:48):
mess the car up, we could bothfix it together. And yeah, it's
just it's definitely differentscene and racing UTV. I'm used
to him in the in the bugs allthe time, but he's comfortable
no matter what. So it was a goodfit for sure.
Yeah, it's kind of cool, though.
And I'm like I love seeing thatpeople could dislike see in air
quotes drive anything. It'spretty bad. Yeah.

(49:10):
He got in the car and I couldjust tell pretty quickly he was
comfortable and even when he gotout at the end of the night, he
was like, Dude, the shocks areunbelievable, because you know,
we have four pro ours total. Andmine. This one's the most done
up one and just hearing him talkabout the things that he liked
most about the car and how ithandled and how drove was

(49:32):
definitely rad to seedude, it's cool Blake
Wilkie? What's up? We'reback man. Technical
difficulties, brother.
It's all good. Sometimes thecell phones just give us so much
shit. Hey, so I was gonna saylike, we're used to seeing you
in a Volkswagen rat class 11 Anda trophy buck. Now you're going
into a player's razor and Harrisand I were just like, dude, the

(49:52):
guy can drive whatever.
I mean, they are very forgiving.
And I mean, I never evenactually i The only thing I did
before the race was sit in itmake sure the belts were all
comfortable and learn the car alittle bit more than what we've
done at the shop and do it. Imean, I have a pro are so I
couldn't imagine it would havebeen a whole lot different but

(50:13):
they weren't good. Harry's gotthat thing dialed pretty, pretty
solid minus the ball joints.
Yeah, minus some upgrades thatyou guys learned from? What's
the like, let's just say Iwanted to get get into pro R and
go race like a Baja 500 What didyou guys done to your car?
Because it's, uh, I don't wantto say it's pretty stock because

(50:35):
it's got some upgrades on it,but it is close.
Yeah, I mean, Harry knows allabout it. I mean, I do as well.
But I mean, you could put a pyrotech fuel cell under the seats,
throw good seats in it, throw acage on it with some door bars,
which LS K is offering for thepro RS where it's a race slash

(50:55):
play door. So you canessentially take to Allen's out
and the door will swing openlike a factory door, or put the
Allens in and it makes it rigid.
I mean, they make a bolt onspare tire mount. And that's
pretty much all you need. Imean, put the heavy duty ball
joints on and on it. And ifyou're not going full kill race

(51:16):
pace, then it should. It shouldlive, but we're pushing to run
with the big dog.
Yeah, I mean, dude, it's it'sthe and we're just talking about
that the pace is insane. Fast, like, well, actually. So Eric,
how did you feel running thatpace? And then I'm gonna ask
Blake kind of a differentquestion.

(51:37):
Ask two answers. One answer isit's it it ASpace class, the
cars are very capable. Theycould go through anything you
teach, these can go through justa little bit slower, basically.
And you don't have the big tire.
But the pace is huge. But islittle not as fast as the trophy
truck because I had a 6100 truckpull out in front of me on a

(51:57):
trail that met together. Andthat guy was gone. I never saw
him again, ever. So it is stilla slower pace and the TTS but I
mean, it's a move. It's wildwhen you're in race.
Yeah, it is wild. And then soBlake, you're on the other end
of the spectrum, right? Like aclass 11. I'm not gonna say it's

(52:18):
slow, but it's one of the slowerclasses and then you got the TT,
but like, both of those are allthe way at the other end of the
spectrum, right. And then yougot a pro our UTV platform
that's kind of right in themiddle. What did you feel like
the pace was because again, likeI thought the race pace, this
race was way faster than it waslast year.
Oh, for sure. Hands down. And Imean, this track was brutal. You

(52:41):
ask anybody that ran thiscourse. And this course was not
a friendly course by all means.
But the pace Yeah, dude, everybody just seemed super
antsy. Like, even in the big dogclasses. I mean, let's get how
many of the top tier dudes hadpretty big issues that set them
back pretty far. I mean, most ofthem battle through it, because

(53:03):
they're top tier teams. Butyeah, dude, it was just, I
think, especially in the pro artclass, the 1800 class. I feel
like with the factory guys, andthen the other dudes that are
either, you know, stillsponsored by players, and
everybody has something toprove. They want to get that top
spot. I mean, that's racing. Andsometimes it pays off to be

(53:27):
conservative, but I mean, rockHager one, I believe. Yeah. And
he didn't have any issues allday. So I mean, it shows that if
you're not running that pace, there's someone that's going to
have a flawless day to where youhave to run that pace to win.
Yeah, because because that uhyou know, 18 cars or whatever it

(53:50):
was, somebody's going to haveprobably close to flawless day
and if they're close to thatpace and they have zero issues
they're going to be they'regoing to be in that tough spot
that's a good point to bring upso we just actually talked with
rock and Ethan and Adam ArsenalI'll players right before you
guys and they were telling usthat I guess it is a perfect day

(54:12):
so to speak, right and desertracing but they had a bunch of
different logistical things thathappen like they had to pit
earlier the BFG pit they had toswap some stuff out. They did a
miss fuel like a bunch ofdifferent little things that
happen right but you guys likein desert racing? Every single
team has to deal with thisright? You're on the fly. You're
switching what you got to do andyou gotta have all of these
things happen. You guys have I'mnot gonna call it like a

(54:35):
skeleton crew but a limitedamount of resources and you
still go out there and you canstill perform Harrison. That's
gonna feel pretty badass.
Yeah, it's it's rad for sure. Weluckily had a group of people.
Man well down there who works onBlake's class LEM car, he lives.
So we had him and his other boysand his son down there. And we
only brought one other personwith us from up here to help out

(54:59):
so we We're pretty limited onit. But I mean, we kind of went
into this with, we're not tryingto get first place or second or
third, we just want to finishit. So having less crew, you
know, it's we still get the jobdone. And even with all the
failures, we had everyone stillgathered up together to handle
the situation and get the carback on the road each time. So

(55:20):
it works.
It makes me feel so good whenyou're racing down there. It's
really Moreau asked how you guysfinished Blake.
I broke a ball joint in like asection by the beach where I
didn't deserve it or nothing. Ithink it just had. It had small
whips and stuff. There was noraw impacts or nothing. I think

(55:42):
it just it the ball jointthreads like the clip on the top
of the RCV ball joint popped outand then unthreaded the top of
the ball joint out, whichsucked. But when that happened,
I had lent it pretty slow forabout five minutes on course and
just added up the time and I waslike, Dude, it's 230 in the

(56:03):
morning right now. I just gotdone taking a dirt nap next to a
fire on the coast of Baja, forlike almost an hour while we
like waiting for the drainbrothers to bring us a rear hub.
The rear hub got screwed up. Butyeah, so I was like 230 time we

(56:24):
gotta go almost 100 Miles like, papi. I think we're done here.
Because if we're dealing 20miles an hour, and we got to go,
say 80 miles, that's anotherfour hours. And that's on
course. So like we're rightthere. Pass call on that. So we
peeled off and took the highwayback to Encina peeled off and

(56:46):
then took a connecting highwayto the one that took the one
back to incident audit and everyfive minutes that thing would
get a gnarly death wobble atabout 30 miles an hour because I
didn't want to push it and thenI'd have to like either stab the
brakes, or sometimes a littleblip of the throttle would get
it to like the tire to staystraight. But man it was. It was

(57:08):
an eventual spot.
Yeah, it sounds cool, though.
Like Baja is always anadventure. Right. Jeffrey Ricker
actually said, thanks for allyour help at kilometer 77 Two.
That was my first time ever downin Mexico like that first time
doing a Baja race and justseeing the atmosphere and the
amount of people that love thesport was just unbelievable. And
just us doing it. I mean, I wassitting at 440 Waiting for Blake

(57:32):
not knowing what's going on withthe car for about four hours
free. Just sitting there in themiddle of Mexico with no phone
service. just stoked to be downthere. And yes, it's cool.
Dude, it that vibe. Like I'mglad you brought that up
Harrison because the vibe nevergoes away. Like that's always
just in you after you go downthere for one race like it just

(57:55):
like inbred in you for the restof your life. It's so cool that
you got to experience that. Butsassily Unbelievable. Yeah, for
sure. All right, so let's seehere. So basically, you guys
helped a few people Blake out ofcourse.
Chris and Matt long i hardwiredher fans at like mile, I want to

(58:18):
say miles seven, year seven, seven or something like that.
We're right there where thehighway met and you peeled off
and made a left. She came in andhad a fan that wasn't working
and there was a couple of dudesthere and she said that the car
was overheating so they have aminimal crew they had a couple

(58:38):
people there and you fuel andwhatnot. But Wayne came in first
and then we fueled him up andand then Kristen came in and
said she was overheating. So Ihardwired her fan and she ended
up you know getting a podium. Sothat was pretty cool. And then
Brandon Sims at mile 212 whereit crosses the highway at like

(59:03):
we're BFG pit two was he came inand read before he came in I was
just going to help do a lookover I'm in flip flops and
shirtless in shorts like youknow because I knew Harry had
some time before he came in soI'm just chilling and next thing
you know over the radio he sayshey, we need a rear axle driver

(59:25):
side rear axle so I was likeshit well that my box of tools
because I know that I have thatthe king of hammers bag and then
my other heart chests that haseverything in it. So I got that
down. Oh shit. And yeah freakinchange an axle form. Flip flops
and no shirt deities cruise andthat's the Baja for you though,

(59:45):
dude. And yeah, well, first ofall, like that's sick that you
did that because that's like thetrue class act. And that's like
the truce. Why don't know, mantra of desert racing right is
everybody. Give it Everybodyhave the best chance to cross
the finish line? Yeah, and they're both competitors in
the same class but it's likedude, these are the homies and I

(01:00:05):
know what everybody puts into itso if there's something that I
can do to help anyone man I meancompetitor or not it's it's nice
to be able to yeah see themfinish well and have have a
small part of that you know, inthe most crucial time
given all the race course. I hada tie rod Haim go out. And duck

(01:00:32):
and overboard, Thanks, Mark. Butwe got a whole lot of grinding
going with the air tools overthere. Shit Harrison, you got
cut off by the power tools, buddy.
Don't get at WD air air tie rodin the bottom of his chassis. So

(01:00:57):
pull it out of his car and fixmy car. So do Yeah, just sharing
the love down there is the wayto do
it. It's so true, you know,Montreux ba Blake I know you got
to get back to work and kind ofget things going with all this
stuff that you have going whatgive us a Harrison actually you
go first tell us who you want tothank and just you know tell us

(01:01:18):
what your plans are for the nextrace.
Definitely gonna sink X comptires they stepped up really big
help get us both on their raceand for our small crew for help
now with every which waypossible to get us handled down
there and taken care of and justthe all my friends and family
support this I mean, all programbetter better. And with that. Do

(01:01:46):
I be on thankful for it. Ournext plan would be think me and
Blake are going to the Glen HillAmour race and we're gonna have
some fun, and that's differentchange of pace we could kind of
back off the craziness and justenjoy the time and have fun
motocross track and then I thinkAB ba four or the California 300

(01:02:07):
and Bazer so that's that's let'scome and
do that's gonna be sweet. Bemore Do you have any questions
for Blake Wilkie to wind herdown?
Here? I'm ready for blade todrop the heat. And
what do you I knowI'd have some way of waiting for
this video. Good job dude.
Oh a result three dude, it'sgonna be sick.

(01:02:29):
I know. I'm still bummed Ididn't make it man. I'm so
sorry.
Oh, you missed out on a goodtime. You know?
We weren't gonna beI know I'm gonna be mad and
jealous and yeah. Oh,we'll be more salt three sounds
like it'd be pretty sick. Allright, one last question for you
boys Blake. How many tacos wereeaten in Mexico

(01:02:52):
Well, I don't know if you'd bemy I got there and I have 14
right away so if you know if yougot me beat
every style a taco freakin varypetstore carne chicken cabeza
like you name it the I likeno you weren't part of the
cabeza I was thatdude it is unique but it is very

(01:03:12):
very very tastydude. Yeah, I tried it once and
I wasn't a huge fan but yeah, Iwas sitting next to be more and
I was like looking over him likehow many tacos are gonna show
up?
Ever for I tried to be not be afat kid. I go into I go down
there it's full on didthat can restriction lift go

(01:03:36):
on new country different countrygetting everyone
and thanks to Harrison Iappreciate it. Thanks, blade.
Yeah, good job, boys. Thanksfor having me.
Alright, we'll see you guyslater. All right, so be more
there was a lot of fun to haddown there you and I spent a lot
man do so much to unpack doit really is soon. Right? Like I
want to talk about because I'mgonna we're going to talk about

(01:03:58):
like the Starlink of some of thebroadcasting and stuff. But I
want to talk about like the goodtimes of Baja. Right. Like,
that's one of the main reasonswe all do this is because we all
get to share love and time withour bar families. And you got to
do that with Hearst, for sure. You know, I'm seeing
you know, obviously from a newside with the perspective
obviously, I mean, we I'veworked with a lot of different

(01:04:19):
teams very fortunate to workwith obviously some of the top
tier teams that you know go youknow between you know, Menzies
and now herps and you know, Ialways I still help her Menzies
sell to but now I'm actuallybeing like a caterer and so I am
terrible herbs motorsports. Soyou know, it's been cool to see
kind of different side of it tobe like, you know how they do

(01:04:41):
it. They I mean, they go all outobviously, right? But you know,
everything's still the same asfar as like the love and the
passion. And when you're downthere and you know the people
and everyone it doesn't matter.
Like you could be the top TrophyTruck team or you could be the
guy who raised his quad rightand in every one still has love
for each other and there's allHey, if you need some, you know,

(01:05:02):
everyone helps each other, youknow, perps especially like, you
know, the worst people, I'veseen people where they're coming
over, you know, in a pinch toneed something and they just
hand it out, right, like parts, whatever it is. Yep. So, you
know, it's, it's been, it's beenfun to study and kind of see
that side of it, you know, and,and I love it man. And it's I

(01:05:23):
think it's like for, you know, for us are the same, very much
the same, because we talkedabout, right, like, we're so
passionate driven about it. Andlike, we're so willing to kind
of invest all of our time. Youknow, because we, we want to, we
want this to grow, we want itto, we know when it can be
right. And forever racing isjust so sick. The biggest

(01:05:43):
problem is, is that people don'tknow, right? Like, the only
people that know are the peoplethat are that have seen it up
close, right, like, and soobviously like me and you, man,
we're live very much how can wemass produce? How can we get
everyone to see that's not inthis demographic? You know,
that, that? We know they'regonna like it, we know they're

(01:06:04):
gonna love it. It's a wholedifferent perspective. Right? So
the biggest thing and you know,as it's trying to get this thing
for the world to see, dude, I can't wait till we can
walk into Walmart and say, Didyou see the off road race that
people say? Yeah, I'm gonna gothrough some of these comments.
Emily. Hi, how are you? JasonMontana said, where we snuggle
buddies. Eight. Luckily, we gotour own beds. Yeah, differently.

(01:06:27):
I tried. You know, sorry, Jason.
I'm part of the aerialdepartment. So I will require to
have all room.
Back to Baja. It's, yeah. So itis cool to see though, right.
And then so one of the thingsthat I want to talk about a
little bit is the, the Starlinkstuff is working really cool.
Because we can transmit data, wecan do live video and all this

(01:06:51):
stuff. Like we have computernetworks on it. Freakin trophy
truck now, like that blows mymind.
I mean, just think of it on thehelicopter side to just seeing
actually take take the livesinside, right, and I'm seeing
this, I'm seeing this, obviously, because I'm in the
backseat, but I see, I see thetime split side, I see the date,
you know, just having the data.
So, so knowing what's going onat all times. And being able to

(01:07:14):
have like, you never realizedhow much how how important it
is. And so you don't have it,right. And so, so now, you know,
we have this, this way to wherewe can see, I mean, I have live
tracking, I can have, you know,I'm doing a photo of you.

(01:07:35):
You know, we have live tracking,we have, you know, telemetry, we
have withdrawal, you know, wehave like kind of know it, we're
in the know, of all the thingsand so that in itself is
literally it, you know, and thenyou had the video aspects of it,
now you're kind of getting thatperson, you know, a kind of a
feel what's going on, and theycan see the what's happening in
almost real time. And, and youknow, that that's what people

(01:07:59):
want. That's how you get peoplethat can't you know, that, that
maybe not having anunderstanding of it to get an
understanding, there'sless money because like, oh, the
cat, it's funny, because like, Ididn't realize how, how the
video helps. But all the teammembers were like, Yeah, we
watch it allthe time. Ya know, and that's
the thing, and it's gettingbetter, right? When we tried to,
you know, years ago, you know, the, wasn't there, right? Like,

(01:08:20):
the idea. And all the Starlinkstuff is happening very fast.
Right? And you I mean, me andyou have talked about it's like,
you know, you get you developsomething you tested, you
tested, you're happy, you'rehappy and oh my god, now there's
another method of doing it. Sostreamline, and you know, how
we've talked about trying to,you know, dumb it down to where,
essentially, you know, it's hardto, it's hard to I mean, not to

(01:08:44):
say that we're smarter thaneverybody else, we just have a
better understanding of howthings work. Right. And so
Robert gene side, it's how canwe make this work so just some
regular person can put it intheir car. So you know, again,
we Yeah, plug and play, we wantthe trophy truck, guys, we want
that. But like you want we wantthe guy that is in his you know,
his razor or his 10 card, thatmay not have the most technical

(01:09:07):
experience or wherever it isthat we want them to say hey, or
hand this to them, and have amethod of saying here, here you
go, this works. And so actually,Greg Kelly just logged on and
said, You guys are taking mysport to the next level. Thank
you the more Yeah, like that'sexactly the person that I think
would benefit from it. Right?
They put a network on their car, then all of a sudden they can
show grandma and grandpa whatthey're done on the weekend

(01:09:29):
sitting in the seatand that's and that how how
crazy is that for that andthat's exactly where they're
like having grandma and grandpanot being able to be there but
be there. And you know thatthat's the thing and and I you
know we can roll this wholeconversation into a freakin
whole thing. But it's obviouslygetting, you know, getting the
support and the understanding ofthe promoters and how to, you

(01:09:50):
know, let's all work together.
Because obviously it helpseveryone build all this and when
we get involved in obviouslymarketing comes in and You have
tight, you know, you have thesehuge sponsors, and then you know
all that. So, you know, I see itfrom from 20 directions,
obviously, from my experiencefrom, you know, somewhat Well, I

(01:10:10):
wouldn't say I have a ton of andmarketing experience, but
making, you know, takingpeople's money, making something
out of it, and then providing orgiving it to sponsors and then
all that stuff. So,yeah, John Hopkins just chimed
in. And this is actually a goodlittle topic to talk about. So
it's not important until it isimportant than it really is
right? Like, but people haven'tseen it yet. That's the that's
the really crazy thing, right?

(01:10:32):
And then all of a sudden, yougive it to him, and it's like,
Oh, my God, this is so badass, don't take it away. Like you
gotta keep like, moving forward, like, I want it more and more.
And like one of the cool thingsthat you and I just figured out,
like after the races, like wejust went looked at the stats,
and today, like 65,000 peoplewatched it on Saturday. Like,
that's blows my mind, like,unique eyeballs. That's what's

(01:10:52):
awesome, right? Oh, so that'sthe biggest thing. And now, you
know, how do we like how do wego out? How do we I mean, it's,
it's gonna grow, right? And nowhow do we push it out to the
people that don't know about it?
Right? And, and because by then, then we're gonna start, really,
and I think we're gonna reallyget traction. And I know what's
cool about it is live work.
We're making leaps and boundsevery single time we're trying

(01:11:15):
this, right? I mean, youespecially like bouncing ideas,
like, how can we do this? Howcan we do this right? And all
these unknowns? And then, youknow, obviously, we're having a
I wouldn't, I mean, I'm gonnasay it's an inconvenience, we're
gonna convincing inconvenience,inconvenience inconveniencing
the prep guys, and having to addall this equipment, which, I

(01:11:35):
mean, again, it's gettingbetter, it's coming down, like
we're gonna eventually, youknow, the stuff that you're
developing, it's gonna make itto where it's just very simple.
Yeah, but the same thinghappened with like, onboard
Japs, or with like, Tai Lopez.
All these add on, right? Like,it's a trophy truck is an insane
piece of equipment no matter howit is. So we kind of got to take
it with a grain of salt, right?

(01:11:58):
We're still elevating, we'restill giving more bone.
We're ahead. We're ahead of thecurve. And that's the thing,
right? We're and, and that'swhy, you know, yes, we'll get
frustrated. And you know, youdon't mean I'm like, you know,
in the moment, but I have to, Ihave to dial it back and realize
what we are ahead of the curvein and what we're doing. You
know, again, we're not sayingwe're the first to do it. But I

(01:12:18):
would say that we've had a verygood spot of understanding way
making it work more efficientlyand more uptime and more, you
know, I mean, this races, Imean, 500, for instance, like
dude, art. I mean, the issues wehad at the 250 were not the
issues, we had this right. Yeah.
So quite a bit better. Yeah. Andso, you know, now let's just
add, add, add, what can we dobetter? What, Where can we fill

(01:12:40):
this work? You know, you know,we're like, do we, how can we
tell a story? How can we, youknow, how do we involve, you
know, more drivers with this?
And that, you know, and, and Ithink we're setting a precedent,
at least because, you know, obviously, we're bar signals
they can go to for like thislast phrase, they go to score

(01:13:03):
and scores using it for theirstuff. And, you know, and, and
so,yeah, trophy. Oh, actually just
said kind of the same thing.
Like, how do you juggle allthese different feeds? Honestly,
I think it's going to be up tothe user. And I think what like,
it's kind of like Apple andAndroid, like, you have to like,
negotiate it to the way that youwant to consume information,
right, or what you want to view, some people may not be very

(01:13:26):
adept to seeing an in car cameraand might upset them, it might
be too much juggling around, Imean, we want to see some people
and so it's just whatever youreally want. But the bad thing
about it is, is like what bemore said, there's a lot of room
for growth, like pretty soonwe're going to have it so you
can click on it, and you canwatch whatever camera you want
to watch. So you can pick like, all of those things are going to
be amazing.
And that's going to be the gamechanger part when you can

(01:13:48):
physically have control of youknow, essentially the software
and pick what you want, rightand it can totally be done. It's
just a matter of you know, it'sa matter of just right doing it
at this point. I mean, I don'tthink that's the coming up point
when you kind of figure out likeHey, what is your ultimate goal

(01:14:09):
for instance, like you know, like like not everyone's gonna
watch like for instance terriblehours more sports obviously was
what we've been doing noteveryone's going to want to
watch that maybe they're goingto want to watch score and score
is going to sprinkle in some ofour stuff and whoever else right
and but what's nice is thepeople that don't like this it
goes to the same thing is thereneeds to be it's like no one who

(01:14:29):
not one wants to watch score butmaybe want to someone wants to
watch it you know are terriblehurts and yeah, and you know,
like I mean everyone has as athing Oh, I like this angle
here. I like this angle here andand what we tried to do is not
make it we're done or you knowall the same and everything
looked the same and tried toswitch it up.
Yeah, exactly trophy bro sayingthe same thing and I got some to

(01:14:50):
add on to that. He said likethere needs to be an aggregate
or a nice interface. We'll do.
We've already got a lot of thatcomplete. I think we're about
60 70% Done with the interface.
So we just still got a littlebit more to do. The cool part
about it is though, is like, Ilove that we're growing it. But
honestly, I still want to seeinside of a class 11 Dude, like,
I want to put some cameras inthose B's.

(01:15:12):
Yeah, that'd be violent. Thatactually, that's a really good
idea. And I mean, again, andthat's the thing, like, you
know, it's where this is,where's this gonna go? Like how,
you know, I look at what the,you know, well, we know what you
know, for score, for instance, like, you know, they're trying
to do this. But I think that, you know, people are gonna want
to make the investment, they'regonna want to have something

(01:15:33):
that they can put in theirhands, essentially, you know,
like, we're not not like, whatare you said, they want some
control, where it's, uh, hey,you know, I want to put this
here, so my family can watch it.
And, and so I think, you know, until they kind of get that
figured out, and where that, youknow, where the deal is there,
it's gonna be kind of hard for,you know, for them to keep, you
know, getting people, I mean, the thought of them having 100

(01:15:56):
feeds at once and be able to dothat, that is, honestly my dream
for this. Because when we getthat point, then we're gonna
really, really, you know, havesomething,
it's gonna be next level, right?
And then, like, all designs is alot more live pit action. Yep.
Like, we were able to do that.
Like, you know, what's crazy, isI was looking at, like the user

(01:16:17):
count, like on YouTube, when wewere doing the live action for
herbs. And we had three truckscome in, like within a 15 minute
period, or whatever. The usercount went up, like 100 150
people that were watching justwhen it was coming through the
pit. So like, what those guysjust said, that's totally
crucial. Like, we need to bemore of that.
Oh, and that's what like, let usknow if people don't know too is

(01:16:40):
like you literally access tosome of the pit action right? US
you sent a link or download anapp, which I was using the star
link in the helicopter, downloadthe app, put the info, and then
boom, my phone is now a livecamera. Right? So you know,
that's what people realize, likeyou can kind of you can do this.
And it doesn't have to be somecrazy expensive production. You
just need to havelike, this guy's gonna go your

(01:17:01):
best friend. Yeah, Daisy wassaying to that filming always
got more in the pits. And itdid. Like recap videos and
stuff. I agree. You know, what'scool, too, is like not to get
off subject cuz we're talkingabout Baja 500. But we actually
had satellite dishes in theocean Cup, which is offshore
boat racing this weekend, too.
But we got to see a whole bunchof the behind the scenes
actually, some offshore boats, like that was sick, dude. I've

(01:17:22):
never even seen an offshore boatrace. And I was like, Holy crap,
these dudes aren't NariaYeah, I mean, it's, and that's
the thing you people want to bethey want to be like, they've
seen what kind of NASCAR hasdone and Formula One. And you
know, and like, like, it can bethat now, obviously, we are
facing a huge, like, theconnectivity side of it. You

(01:17:43):
know, obviously, like, we're,we're making these things do
what they're essentially not,not that they're not supposed to
do it that you like, I mean, thefact that we can put a Starlink
on the roof of a truck and beatit to shit. And it doesn't. Like
it works. You know, and, andyes, there's some limitations.
And we know that but we havelost a couple. We actually found
one, we found one. Yeah. But,you know, it's, it's what it's

(01:18:09):
what we need to keepprogressing. And I think it's
only gonna get better, like itreally is it's only gonna get
better. And eventually we'regonna you know, the right person
and the right meeting is goingto happen. And then you know,
those limitations will go awayand then honestly, it's gonna be
it's gonna be crazy because thenyou know, the the nice thing

(01:18:29):
about what the you know, theharps feed obviously is like
hey, you know at least there'sthere's three vehicles and then
if there's a drop out you canswitch and then obviously with
the helicopter with thehelicopter, we're the best that
ever didI turned up your bit rates and
look atso it's like, you know, the
download speeds we were gettingand upload those you know, it's
just it's impressive. And so youknow, I think I don't know man

(01:18:52):
it kind of blows my mind Ihonestly the fact that that even
even worksall right well you saw Starling
talk what was your favorite partabout being down there?
Tacos oh my godwe didn't get to eat it enough
times cuz we're so busy but dudethat eltra LuLaRoe Lindsey
geysers favorite spot just camein so clutch

(01:19:16):
Yeah, that was that was that'sit for I can't believe it's the
first time I mean that place Imean, I haven't but I feel it's
first time if I remembered itthat places
Let's see your whole design. Sothe pit one was awesome for
herbs. We pitted both spectrucks within 30 seconds of each
other. Yeah, like and to be ableto capture that like even when I
was sitting there like beingpart of the broadcast team. Like
I was just like amazed. I waslike, Dude, this is so cool to

(01:19:39):
watch like I'm having a greattime watching this myself like
it was bitchin yeahyeah, it's it's funny because we
didn't know like, obviously whenwe that's when when you hook the
phone up and I was like, hey, wewant you came through McCauley.
Holy shit, the most truckscoming in, you know and be like
see and, you know, obviously wehad a You know, we had the,
again, it's not perfect, we havethat issue with the one

(01:20:03):
Starlink. I mean, you're justlike, how can we reset this
thing while they're in racemode? And like ask them you
know, the bride should be this, this, this is the shit we're
gonna learn and we're gonnafigure out like there's, you
know, again, it's only trial anderror. We're gonna
Emily's trying to get in thehelicopter and eat tacos next
time. Oh, date daisies like, yeah, Paris was the best part of

(01:20:24):
the trip. Oh, we didn't go. No,no, you can't count us in that
we got to go to eltra Lera.
Brian had 69Tacos. You need their
antibiotics at that place.
We gotta get the dirt bike guyson dude, I appreciate everything
that you did, obviously, downthere. I think it was awesome to
be able to see. And now todaywe're up to 85,000 people or

(01:20:46):
82,000 people that have watchedit. So good job.
And I keep we're gonna keeppushing it, dude, I'm stoked,
man that and like I said, I'm sovery thankful that herps is, you
know, have trusted me us likeand the investment and you know,
to try this, they see the biggerpicture. And that's, that's what
we need. You know, it's, theyunderstand the big picture of

(01:21:07):
it. And they trust that, youknow, some two knuckleheads are
trying to spearhead some crazyshit that happened. So
it's awesome, though. I love it,dude. All right. Well, thanks,
Dan. I appreciateit. Appreciate it. I'll talk.
I'll talk to you soon. Laters.
Bye.
Alright, so let's get Conradieon Matt combs and Matt Eddie. Go

(01:21:28):
ahead and feel free to joinwhenever you guys want to hear.
Oh, there's Matt. Connor wantsto jump on. And Matthew combs he
wants you to jump on to Hall.
Thanks very much, dude.
Appreciate it. Let's see. Oh,wait for there you go, man.
What's up?
Are you did pretty good.

(01:21:49):
Did you get the 9x in thebackground?
I do. Yeah. Oh, she cleaned up.
No, no, we haven't got that faryet. Oh, I
still got a little bit of Bajalove on her, huh? Yep.
Just a little bit. All right. Sowe'll wait for Connor and for
Matthew to jump on as well. Igotta say the first thing that I

(01:22:10):
wanted to say was moto in Bajais gnarly. Like, and I mean
gnarly in every single aspect ofthat word.
It's a whole nother animal, man.
You know, it's super gnarly. Ifyou don't you don't have a cage
around you to protect you. Andyou know, if you hit the ground,

(01:22:31):
a little softball sized rock mancould take you out and and
injure Baja. And you know,potentially.
Yeah, do exactly. Connor, whoelse is supposed to join us?
Because I see a couple people inhere, Bryce. Nope. All right.
Yeah, I don't see him. Yeah. Sowe'll wait till he joins. But

(01:22:52):
yeah, Matt to continue on. Whatyou're saying. Matthew come in
the screen a little closer. Giveyour buddy Connor a hug. You
guys just got second at the Baja500 meet. Up So yeah, first of
all, like I guess maybe I shoulddo a re intro here. So we got
Connor Eddie, Matthew combs andMatt Eddie. You guys did a
killer job down there. It was sognarly. You guys were ripping

(01:23:14):
and you guys came home. Second.
I know you guys wanted to win.
But dude, that's a feat in hisself. So Matt, give us a little
bit of a background on whattranspired to get you guys down
there.
So I got a call. ProbablyActually, I didn't get a call I
I told Connor Hey, Connor, that'd be cool. If we can put
something together for the 500.
His other team kind of backedout on him last minute. And you

(01:23:38):
know, I know. He was kind ofbummed. And he really wanted to
ride to erase the 500 and and Iopened my mouth and said, Hey,
we should put a team together.
And next thing I know, a fewdays later, a week later, I get
a phone call. And you know thisguy Seve a DP racing. Probably

(01:23:59):
one of the most passionate guysto ever walk in Baja. I mean,
he's been there a long time. Andhe's helped a lot of the guys
out that that has multiple fansin Baja. And he gave me a phone
call and said Hey, Matt, I heardyou may be interested in racing.
And I'm like, Well, yeah, no,you know, it's been a long time

(01:24:22):
since I've raced down there. Andyou know, I've been riding a
little bit here in the Statesracing, but not in Baja. And
it's been about seven years but70 did all the legwork, got our
pits goal and got some fundingand stuff like that and all we
needed was a bike basically andshe's sitting right behind you

(01:24:43):
did look at there. Yeah,I couldn't say no. You know, the
offer was too good and the guysthat Conor rounded up to ride it
Matt combs and Bryce dad Ron youknow solid guys. So I mean I had
nothing but you know? Good tothink about them and to say yes,

(01:25:05):
yeah, exactly.
Exactly and Bryce dude, you lookand crispy you got the nice haga
shirt on represent there. Howwas the race for you, but
it was the funnest race I'veever had on there. Like
literally just being that closewith everyone. Even all the
teams that the visuals on theway back and when we're waiting

(01:25:26):
for that to cruising, like we'reall having a good time. And like
just all admire no close to thisrace plus, and super stoked that
Conor and Matt got to be theirfirst race down. I like that.
That's like something veryexciting. I mean, 26 races and
I've never seen anything thatclose.
Yeah, it is kind of cool. Right?
And then I wanted to know, too, that both Matthew and Connor 17

(01:25:48):
years old, both from Barstow,Barstow boys, right. So it's
pretty cool that you guys got toexperience it with them. Right,
Matt?
Yeah, it was good. It was, it'sa lot different than gonna go
down there and figure everythingout and just learn how ba works.
And then turns out we did apretty good and pulled it off.
It was thegnarliest part of the whole race

(01:26:09):
like well, actually, before wego in there, Matt, Eddie, why
don't you tell us a little bitabout the strategy? Like there's
four different riders. So how doyou I don't know, stagger? Where
does everybody go? Like whatmile markers and stuff?
Okay, so this one was unique, because we had two guys that

(01:26:30):
have very minimal time racing inBaja. So we had to be really
strategic with where we set upRyder sections at just because I
know the consequences of Bajaand putting people in the wrong
spots. You know, well, like your brother just
said, he just commented inrookies like he was making fun,

(01:26:50):
but that's actually a reallytrue statement. Like you have to
protect the rookies, you do youdo and you got to put them, not
where they want to go.
But where you think they wouldfit to be a good, good team
player and to keep them safe aswell. So it was a no brainer.
You know, Bryce has beenstarting for quite a few teams,

(01:27:12):
lately in Baja. And so wedecided, Bryce was going to
start and take it to kilometer77 on the highway. And he we
decided, you know, he's gonnaride another section later. So I
got on the bike and took up a 30miles to nuevo junction. So from
kilometer, 77, there to nuevojunction, 30 miles, where we

(01:27:35):
decided Matt combs, he, he racesa lot here in the States. And
he's a district 37 and nationalhare and Hound champions. So we
thought that a good fit for emwould probably be, you know,
it's funny to say, but the mostdangerous section in Baja, which
is up over the summit all theway into Perregaux. It's super

(01:27:56):
gnarly, you got to be on yourtoes. And, you know, we seen the
consequences of that in prerunning down there. So I think
Matt knew how serious and howconsequential that section could
be. But in reality, it wasprobably the best fit for him.
He's at Super gnarly, rough, youknow, slow go and stuff, you

(01:28:20):
know, until you get up to thesummit.
Yeah, and like, I think that'sgood that you guys already have
experience. So maybe I shouldsay that as well. So Matt, Max,
all of you guys have quite a bitof experience that you can help
the younger guys. I mean, there's 17 years old, they still
got a lot of piss and vinegar, right? You got to calm them
down. So it's like, you know, that experience and you can put
them in a position where theteam can excel and get better if

(01:28:43):
you know what theirqualifications are on course, to
be able to excel at that segmentof the course. Sure, sure. It's
pretty crazy to see that. SoBryce, like, I mean, like,
that's got to be a pretty goodfeeling, knowing all the
experience and the new bloodboth have the same team.
Yeah. The kids, they're not kidsor young men, but they read like

(01:29:04):
they're fast. Conor was bitterlyI seen all the other videos
everyone else go through allchoppier throttle. You never let
off the hammer. We postedone video today Connor was just
I was like, if that back endsteps out, there's gonna be some
serious freaking consequences,right?
I guess grandpa told him he waslosing time and he's like, Oh,

(01:29:26):
no, that's not often and so andthen. Not you know, like, that's
like, that's a heavy sectionlike like not he was saying and
but you know, he freakinghandled it like he really did he
put he kept with everyone past abunch of people. I think he
passed the most amount of peoplein one run out all of us, and he

(01:29:50):
got us up into fifth. And atthat point, I could be wrong
though. It may have been thatcoming into summit got at a
couple and then Mr. Ross, butyou put me in a good spot on
Fifth when he got back off thebreak. Like they did their job
great. Like they hold out. Yeah,it's
cool to see Connor what was someof the funniest parts for you or

(01:30:12):
actually not before ask thatquestion. What did you learn?
Because you got a lot ofpressure on your shoulders with
all these guys.
Yeah, basically, do you justlearn to mean, not race 100%
Race 80% and just get it to thenext person pretty much at the
end of the week, you know, and, dude, I
don't know about that outlawVitaly just said that you were
shifting basically into seventhgear.

(01:30:33):
I mean, that's my that's my 80%You know, it's, it's, um, that's
my normal.
It's pretty crazy that did youhave any sketchy moments or No,
no, those? We all had flawlessrides. Yeah, I mean, maybe
except for my Uncle Matt theend? Because there's vehicles
and stuff in oncoming traffic, but I had a flawless ride the

(01:30:57):
whole time. I mean, I didn'treally have any sketchy moments
just come in to San Tomas. So Iwas dodging a few vehicles going
like 70 on the dirt roads. Butthat's that's a that's known for
down there. You got to expectthat you know, it's so it's
you're you're ready for that atall times around every corner
around every round every rise.
You know,I had a one of our fans just

(01:31:18):
comment in and said Ask Connorwhat he learned about girls
outside of Paris.
They're dudesThat's hilarious. For anybody
that doesn't know what parrotheiress is down in Mexico. It's
a gentleman's club but minus thegentleman.

(01:31:39):
Yeah. Yeah. Next, Next subject.
Yeah.
So Matt combs what was some ofthe sketchiest parts of your
portion of the race?
Everything went good over thesummer and went really good. And
I had a close call the cow rightafter the summer, though. Yeah,

(01:32:00):
right from buying the bush. Inever even seen it. Never even
nothing just walked right out. Imean, but other than that,
everything else went smooth anddid all my lines perch. I
couldn't ask fora better right. Hey, so what do
you have usually do or Bryce?
Actually, you speak on this alittle bit? Like, how far ahead
do you have to look like so Igrew up racing dirt bikes, but
on tracks, right, like inmotocross and doing all these

(01:32:21):
things. And your vision doesn'thave to go that far ahead.
Because you're maybe doing, youknow, like, a quarter of the
speed that you guys are doingout in the desert, you do jumps
and you can see the next corner,it's really easy to gauge where
you're looking at, right? But Idon't understand how you guys
all three of you also get me offfor it. You understand the
vision and the depth that youhave to look because you have to

(01:32:41):
bring it in, you have to let itout and all these crazy things
to gauge the speed that you guysare at that always blew my mind.
Yeah, yeah, it's a lot of itcomes with knowing where you can
do that through pre running.
For me, if I see a lot of cattlein the area, when I'm three
running, or even like wildhorses are like flocks of sheep

(01:33:02):
even, like, I'll know there's apotential around the blind
corner or there could be a cow,you know, like, but at the same
time a teammate from the 300xBike last year, he David's off
to hit a cow and it was on theside of the road. And he's
cruising by, like 25 just he sawme checked up and jumped out on.
So really like animals are thebiggest spirit for motorcycle

(01:33:26):
racer down there is it doesn'tmatter how good you are. We've
seen unfortunately. And yeah.
All right, it's just really tryto pay attention with pre
running, knowing where theymostly, you know,
what about if it's not animals, and it's just the speed like
going through San Felipe oops,or like on the coastline where

(01:33:46):
you're kind of just likedrifting all over the place?
Well, it depends on like thoseyou know, softball sized
boulders that have talked aboutbeginning there's no like, it's
up to how fast you can gothrough that section. So even
for like headlights, like youneed to be able to see as far as
you can go. Like if you can go50 miles an hour. Mark is you

(01:34:08):
can see 100 feet, you can't gohome. You can see 100 feet, like
the faster you go the more yougot to pick up your vision. You
got to open up like you lookingfor little dust poops on side
like roads that you know youcross over, or like rancher
traffic or anything like that.
But no, there's always just likethat serious, like literally 40%
unknown that a spectator is notgoing to be driving on the

(01:34:33):
crossroad or there's a cowaround this barn corner that
you're going 60 around likeyeah, I've been taken out by
Jackrabbit before. No way. It'lltake your front wheel right off
the ground. Dude, Iremember we used to go chasing
jackrabbits to get better useout in the desert. So like when
Bryce was talking about that, does it kind of get you to

(01:34:53):
understand like some of thesections that you drove as well
like, where you're gauging andwhere your vision was? wasn't
the fate the pace that you guyswere on that Eddie?
Um, yeah, you know, just foryour vision wise, I mean, you're
constantly scanning up and downand, you know, you're you're
looking, you know, a quartermile out and then you look at in

(01:35:14):
front of you, you're 100 yardsand then a quarter mile out,
you're constantly looking butyeah, you know, on a bike,
everything seems like it comesat you so much, so much faster.
You know, I mean, it's, you're,you're not like I said earlier,
you're not protected by a cage.
And one one little mistake, youknow, is well injured day. So
me, like Connor was sayingearlier and you don't, right,

(01:35:37):
you know, here in the States, you could ride even like the
Heron hounds, for instance, like, you know, you could ride
you know, 95 100% But down inMexico, you have so many
variables, your care that youknow, your your medical care is
a long ways away, or, you know, hours away. So, you mean, along
with just getting a bite to thenext guy, there's so much to

(01:35:58):
think about when it comes to youknow, riding dirt bike and
racing a dirt bike in Mexico is,you know, all those variables.
You want to stay safe. You know, obviously, you want to get the
bike to the next guy. You got itor, or as close to you as you
can. Yeah,it was always crazy. To me to
think about I think I toldConnor the same kind of thing.

(01:36:19):
But like, when off road, dirtbike racing is way different
than on being on track. But likeso I've done professional Lucas
Oil short course in the UTV, andI've done professional motocross
and Supercross and stuff and Ialways thought to myself, like
after racing dirt bikes and geta side by side, I feel like I
could eat a turkey sandwichbecause it's like slow motion,
right? But when it's different, like I've never driven a trophy

(01:36:40):
truck, but I could assume thatthose speeds completely change
your outlook on the way that youactually see it and I respect
every single one of you, especially the young kids
because they don't know as muchas you experienced racers but
like for being able to have thatvisual perception and the
connectivity in your brain to beable to process information when
you're going that fast and usingall of your muscles so Connor

(01:37:02):
it's probably gonna feel prettycrazy
I mean, it's it's not it's nottoo crazy because coming up to
the races, you know, you trainreally hard coming up to in
basically train like how whatyou're going to how you're going
to be in the race, you know, soit's kind of like, second hand
nature for come race day. Youknow, it's kind of just like,

(01:37:25):
you should it's kind of like awalk in the park because you
train on stuff that's a lot moreharder and brutal than then what
you race you know, and, and evenpre running, you know, you race
you don't you pre run about40 50% But you you hit all the
stuff the same way that you'regoing to race it, you know, so
it's like, coming race days,it's like a walk in the park.
You know, it's like you don'treally think about much you kind

(01:37:47):
of just become one with thebike. And you know, it's it's
it's just like a walk in thepark. You can? tz
like that muscle memory thing wewere talking about earlier on
the show. So Matthew combs like, what was some of the funnest
parts that you got to do oncourse? Well, it was all
all pretty rough. But thefunnest learning, definitely the
summit, because that's kind ofwhat I'm good at. You know,

(01:38:08):
we'vebeen through the big rocks and
the technical stuff. Sothat's where I have the most
Yeah, plus, the summit is justso cool. When you cross over
you're just like, Yes, likethat, like the view is just
insane.
Yeah, you're way up there justchecking it out the whole time
and seeing how nice it is outthere.
Where did you guys go this time?
Did you guys go through theforest to to get up there?

(01:38:29):
Yeah, we went through the forestand all that good stuff. Yeah,
dude, that's so cool. And thenwho got to ride by the beach?
Did you say Bryce? Connor didthe coast. Okay, so Connor, that
was probably pretty epic itbecause you guys got there at
what? Like, just afterlunchtime.
I got on the bike around ninearound like 10 o'clock. So I was

(01:38:50):
I was on the coast by I thinkaround 11
Yeah, that pace was pretty fastthen, huh? So Matt, Eddie, like,
was the pace faster than whatyou're used to?
Um, you know, it's been so long.
But I think it was prettynormal. I thought. It's been so
long. You know, it's been sevenplus years since I've raced down

(01:39:11):
there. So I think it was fairlynormal, though. I mean, I, we
average, you know, 40 I want tosay 45 miles an hour's somewhere
in there. And I think that'spretty par for the course, for
that rough of a course.
I feel like that's fast. I don'tknow. Like, I mean, it seems
like that would be pretty fast.
So what was the differencebetween what you last raced on

(01:39:34):
compared to this? Was there abig difference or a different
learning curve? Or it was justlike riding a bike again?
And me? Yeah. Actually, it wasthe same bike. It wasn't this
bike. But it was the firstgeneration Honda 450 Yes. So
tell us a little bit about thebike to because that thing is

(01:39:54):
sweet.
Yes, this is my you know mybike. We sent it to I'm Bob at
Bob young at San Diego powerhouse two weeks before the race,
or two and a half weeks beforethe race. It was it. It was
pretty dialed in Aaron hounds onthe bike since beginning of the

(01:40:15):
year and a little bit last year,so the motor was fresh. I just
had it rebuilt. So it wasminimal prep, you know, just
hatless is put a good Baja prepon this, you know, from the
linkages up. And you know, hedid a leak down test, check the
valves and everything. So themotor was good. So he just did
all the pivot points and thesteering wheel. You know, we

(01:40:37):
changed a couple of things onit, you know, for to better suit
us and Bob dothis. Recall, Bryce, you're
probably stoked to get on thatthing. Do that thing looks rad.
has actuallybeen a while since I wrote for
50x. Actually, last time Iworked with the exes or DP
racing. I believe it was for DPracing in 2012. So it's like,
coming back to that after thenew handling? Yeah, I think I

(01:40:59):
started back with them like 2010to 2012 with a J. Stewart. And
that was kind of like he hementored me a lot down there. He
taught me a lot of stuff. I knowthat keeps me safe. And we're on
the road or off the road. Like, yeah, the guy knows his stuff.
But yeah, I was great. Bike wasawesome. We had to figure out

(01:41:21):
what we wanted to do withsuspension. And it all came down
to like the day before the racewhere we were tested on this
little loop track on the beach, and we got to a point where it's
like everybody's like, semigeared up like, Are you guys
ready? Okay, we're kind ofstressed the races tomorrow, we
don't have a setting or like,Yeah, but then like, everybody
got a turn on it. And when wefigured it out. Thanks to Brad

(01:41:45):
pace, he helped us out to somequicker changes and ideas.
Because like, you know, we'reall riding the same bike, you
know, we'll have to be happywith it. And it's got to stay up
for 500 miles because after twoor three miles that's suspension
stop. You know when it's gonnaget softer that oil is getting
thinner. The viscosity is justthey have to lose weight. Well,

(01:42:08):
dude, you got you guys got thissuspension tuned up a little bit
where Connor could just hold itmatted.
It's probably perfect for himout there. You know, it was just
just soft enough to take thosesquare edges out and yeah, it
was it was pretty good for lastnight. We could definitely you
know like Matt was saying wethrew all this together

(01:42:28):
literally three weeks before therace because Connor not columns
and I did not have her I like westarted out with family but
unity you know, I think it wasgonna be one way but last night
I stepped in and helped us outand they step in and we'll let
it happen and thanks we can'tYeah, we can't be up here for
all it all came together but itcan use easy like we didn't have

(01:42:49):
anyat seven just go 70 Just coming
in clutch dude. Heck yeah.
We don't even stress. So whatwas some of the best things
about that bike?
Connor because you and well andMatthew to both of you guys
aren't used to racing a bike.
That's that good. Are you?
Yeah, I want to I race my dad'shere back in the States.

(01:43:09):
You're supposed to say no,you're supposed to say yeah, my
uncle's bike is way better thanmy dad's
off. Honda's are good, all good, but that not that the 9x bike
was definitely one of the bestbikes I've ever ridden. Just
it's You can't beat it. Youknow, it's it's a proven bike
down there. We had precisionconcept suspension on it, which

(01:43:30):
is the best suspension for forba I believe. And yeah, we
couldn't have asked for a betterbike. It was perfect.
What was your favorite part ofthe race Connor.
Wide open pull on the beach.
That does sound pretty kick ass.
And Matthew already said you'rejust going over the summer and
it probably felt pretty good tobe at the finish line off for

(01:43:50):
you guys together and all yourteam and your family and friends
alike. That's a good feeling.
Yeah, it wasgood. It's it's the first one we
did. So we got it done. And justkeep going back now nothing else
to deal with. Keep going back itwent perfect. And up to the
Resco perfect look, anotherguy did the progress. Right.
Matt? Eddie, did you get the bugagain, start coming back and

(01:44:11):
feeling a little bitmore real. You know, I started
racing towards the end of lastyear in the states here, the
hare and hounds and sprint andarrows and stuff like that. And
then I've been having so muchfun. I've been off the bike for
a long time. And that definitelysparked the bug again, racing
the hare and hounds and thengoing back to Mexico and getting

(01:44:32):
so close to a win. You know, butnot close enough, you know, and
it as a racer, that's not goodenough, you know, so you always
want to go back and and I thinkthat's what keeps us coming back
is you're striving for that thatwhen you know and that that

(01:44:52):
you've had in the years pastit's it did come back yes
it is. That's So cool, man. Soare you going to keep the team?
Are you going to fire Connor andMatt?
Um, yeah, just ends. Know, thatare up and coming. Yeah, they're

(01:45:13):
going to be around in Austin isgoing to be in addition to my
Austin Austin and he's gonna bein addition to the 1000 team,
hopefully. If not, he'll take myspot.
So cool, man, we know Austin candrive a motorcycle or ride a
motorcycle insanely good aswell. So I can't wait to see it

(01:45:34):
man. Like I was just pumped thatyou guys put together the
program. I don't wanna say lastminute, but with a little bit of
last minute, you know, dutiesand you guys were able to go
down there and get a good resultbeing on the podium. I mean,
just finishing is insane. Butlike being on the podium, that
kind of makes you feel good, because there was a lot of hard
work that went into it. Therewas a lot of team work. There
was a lot of logistical stufffamily stuff, just, I mean

(01:45:55):
everything that goes into it,man, I'm proud of
you guys. Yeah. Thank you. Imean, it's fun. And we have we
have a ton of people that helpedus out you know, last minute get
ready for this and you know, just when it started when we
started talking about this andeverything just started coming
together super easy. kind ofknew it was going to you know,

(01:46:17):
be a good day for us and goodshowing. Yeah,
that's cool. And you did puttogether a pretty solid team did
so you gotta be proud of thatand everybody's hard work
because everybody had the samegoal and that was doing as best
you can. So Alright, so let'sstart with MADI and then we'll
go to columns and then Connorand Bryce, just throw a shout
out to everybody.
Man. Seve Seve is He's an animaland and he loves racing in Baja.

(01:46:43):
I mean, he's out some of thegreat motorcycle racers out in
Baja. Ben Cooley at Cooleyconstruction helped us out a
lot. Basically anything that weneeded for the bike and you
know, funds wise he was therefor us. My dad and Matt Big Macs
Eddie Maxine. You're the guy whostarted to bread Max and I like

(01:47:06):
you know, like we are now is hewas there chasing us. Chris
Kincaid also was there theentire time. We're down there
helping us out and chasing usaround making a salad dishes.
You know, prepping the bikes. Weknow why these kids are sleeping
because they're tired from prerunning. But yeah, it was all

(01:47:28):
that Bryce. Shout out tosponsors and then Matt and
Connor also. Okay, gofor Brett. Yeah,
you know, like, I want to thankSeve first and foremost masker
providing the bike. Oh, are theycalling me Matt combs for doing
a great job out there and beingsmart and being stapler
supporting me and then leavingPB brown pow pow Stortz Gio,

(01:47:55):
thank you to Matt Philbrick whohelped me get down there it was
proven. And Brett Brad pace andChristian Cade and Max Eddie
senior like they both killed iton helping me like, get my bike
ready for the last day of freerunning because it wasn't
running too well. It's makingnoises and stuff. I was needed

(01:48:15):
to toss out they took over theytold me to go go to bed. So
thank you guys and wrong. Yeah,it would have been just the
whole crew that supported theteam.
There's a lot of good people onthe team. Hey, we had a comment
come in from drabness at maxMatt at Bryce and verse the kids
who went in Baja are up herethat's actually unfair if you do

(01:48:38):
that up here right. So we got todo is somewhere where you guys
haven't gone like let's go toAntarctic or something put like
ice racing tires. Got them?
Yeah, no.
I don't know. We've got all twowheels. You know,
I've I've been racing with thekids the beginning of the year,
and I know Connors got me acouple of times, and Matt's got

(01:49:02):
me but I think I've got maybeMatt when he broke but it's
it's, uh, you know, for for? I'm40 but I don't feel 40 I felt
like I'm early 30 still so Ithink that'd be a good race.
We'll have to line up.
That would be pretty cool tohave a little battle with all

(01:49:23):
the Barstow guys. You see youguys all out there just ripping.
And so Connor in Matthew wantsto throw a shout out real quick
and then I have one finalquestion for all you guys.
Well, my Bryce Malcolm Mattpretty much covered everyone
else but for me and Matt. CraigScanlon he decided to help us
out in he covered all of our prerent expenses for the week and

(01:49:47):
not that's huge down there. Youknow, because you know, you're
eating tacos every night youdon't you don't you don't make
your own food down there.
Really. You're eating tacosevery night. You know, a lot of
gas money for the for the chasevehicles and And the bikes for
both of us, you know, so one ofmy grandpa's good friends his
name's Ron, I raced. He's oneNia yz 250 to race at some grand
priests in the states here. Andhe, he also helped us with the

(01:50:10):
periodic expenses. And thoseguys are they make or break it
for us, you know? And we want toyou can't go down there without
it, you know?
Yeah, totally. All right. So, doyou guys have a taco count how
many tacos were eaten?
Oh man, well, well all start with for
lunch. I have a coke and fortacos for lunch and also the

(01:50:36):
same for dinner. So the bigtacos though. Okay, so tacos,
love everything. SoI'm assuming that Connor over
the week at least a 69 Tacos, and you guys probably at least
equal to him for the rest ofthem. Right?
I'm doing well. So now. I knowthat it nobody to just the local

(01:50:56):
stations all the time.
All right. Well, I appreciateyou guys coming on. And
obviously you guys did afantastic job down there.
There's one more step on thepodium that you guys have to
work your way up to. But thatgives you guys all drive to be
better next time, right? Socan't wait to see you guys
actually, what's the next race?
Um, probably the 1000.

(01:51:19):
That takes a lot of preparation.

everything. guys. You guys did afantastic job. Like I said, so I
can't wait to see you guys soon.
