all that stuff.
Okay, so the basis of the showBella, everybody was at Vision's
yesterday or, excuse me, lastweek.
Yes, And that's in Mid-AmericaOffroad Park in J Oklahoma,
right?
Okay, so what was the wholedeal?
(03:53):
It was like a huge event.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Oh, it was insane.
There was Barbie Jeep Racingand a bunch of other stuff.
The river, It was pretty nuts.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
There was always
something going on, Yeah what
was your favorite part about thewhole week?
Because I heard there was somuch stuff to do.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
I would say the
concerts were probably the best.
The music was pretty cool, always kept everyone rowdy.
There was bull riding, whichwas crazy to see.
Yeah, it was pretty rad, prettyintense.
You're always on your tiptoes.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Always on your
tiptoes is an understatement,
right, because there's racingall over the place.
They had Natural Rally Christthere too, so Travis Pastrana
brought all of his crazy crewout there.
I saw they did like a backflip, you know?
Yeah, i was pretty rad, dude.
that's wild, right, yeah.
And then they have some otherstuff too, like concerts and
(04:42):
different events, right, likewhat was going on.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
I know there was Tim
Montana, a cowboy singer, and
stuff like that.
There was a lot of other coolthings, but I don't know.
It was definitely crazy.
They had a whole schedule witha bunch of stuff, that
everything was hour by hour ofwhat they were doing.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah, it's kind of
crazy.
Oh, they had it all listed out,it was all lined up.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
They had you ready to
go doing one thing after
another.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, there you go,
okay.
So Travis Pointer said, yeah, nitro Cross, yeah, all right.
So we'll see if we can getCowboy to come on in just a
little bit here.
Hi, brooklyn, how are you TellDustin Jones?
Oh sorry, they're in theairport, is what Dustin Jones is
saying.
So hopefully they can getlogged on here in just a little
bit.
We'll get our fingers crossed, keep our fingers crossed, all
(05:27):
right.
So one of the things that Ilike best about off-road racing
in general, bella, is the youth, right, like you're sitting here
next to me because you want tolearn a little bit about
broadcasting and kind of gettingyourself out there more.
But you're, truthfully, anoff-road racer.
Yeah, same, right.
So you're both, and that's whatI love most.
(05:48):
And a lot of the people and alot of the kids that are going
to come on today are the same, and there was like hundreds and
hundreds of kids out there.
You must have been so hyped.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
No, the 170 class was
stacked with like 20 or 30 cars
, which is crazy to me, butespecially like the little girls
in there, women representingthe whole industry is.
it makes me really proud.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah it's kind of
cool to see them.
I'm like especially to have aplace like Mid America Off-Road
Park that like really opens thefloodgates to having everybody
show up.
What did they say?
Like if you build it, they willcome.
Yeah, like that's basicallywhat they did, right.
So yeah, it is cool.
We're going to wait and givecowboy and Dustin just a little
(06:32):
bit of time here.
They said the airline canceledtheir flights.
That's terrible.
Right Way to mess up the dirtlife show.
Oh I know guys Who knows whatairline it is, though.
Right, But thank you guys forhanging out with us.
What are some of the coolthings that you saw happen
Mostly in the youth classes thisweek or this last week There?
Speaker 3 (06:52):
was a lot of
competition.
I didn't really realize howaggressive these kids were until
I saw them start driving.
What do you?
Speaker 1 (06:58):
mean Like bumping and
banging.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Yeah, they bump and
bang and then my favorite part
is they get out and they're justbest friends right after.
Like they don't, it's stillgood on and off the track.
You know, i think those thingstotally separate, which I love.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I feel like we need
to carry that vibe into like
grown up racing, like don't be adick when you get out of the
car.
Right, let's see.
Travis Pointer said pilots arebusy watching dirt life show.
Yeah, they need to hang up onthe dirt life show and get
cowboy Seroni on over here.
Looks like we don't have themjust yet.
Hailey, yeah, bella's killingit, dude, i appreciate Bella
(07:35):
coming and spending her timehere.
Hey, so fun fact Bella is what16 now?
Yes, i am.
She drove by herself here lasttime she came to help me close
the dirt life show Mom had tobring you, so does it feel good?
Speaker 3 (07:49):
No, it feels really
good.
I'm pumped.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
I'm pumped to be on
the road, Did you Well?
so I was going to ask thatquestion about being on the road
.
Did you get to help drive itall with the bus and the trailer
?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
No, no, no, that's my
dad's job.
I was sleeping.
I was in the back snackingNetflix.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Oh, racers got to get
rest.
That's it.
Excuse me, that's hilariousdude.
All right, michelle, prince Caris joining us and thanks,
michelle for hanging out with us.
Yeah, so I really wish I wasthere at Mid America.
I think it was something that Ireally missed.
I get to go over there in acouple of weeks actually to do
(08:25):
some testing in some Hondavehicles, so that'll be pretty
fun.
But I'm still jealous that youguys got to go there, because I
wanted to go on the Lazy Riverand I wanted to eat tacos with
everybody And I really wanted towatch some of the racing,
mostly because I want to see thelike the layout of the park.
Brian Atkison, who you knowthat helps with the Outlaw
series or operates Outlaw series, is now helping with Mid
(08:48):
America.
He was telling me that thefacility has a bunch of
different tracks.
Is that right?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yes, they do.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
So what were some of
the different tracks?
So I know they had Nitro Crossand then what else?
Speaker 3 (08:58):
They had Nitro Cross,
they had R-Track.
There was the UTV track.
Yeah, the UTV track.
There's Pipike tracks.
I know there's an RC car track.
There's a lot of different.
There was like RC car nationalright.
Yes, it was crazy to see allthese grown men with little
controllers.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Dude, they get hot
and bothered too, like they get
really angry.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
It's great, it's
intense.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Did crews go over
there and check them?
Speaker 3 (09:20):
out?
They probably did.
knowing him, he was everywhereOh.
I see Did they have a Pipikerace?
Yes, they had a Pipike race.
I unfortunately did notparticipate.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
What do you mean?
fortunately or unfortunately?
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Unfortunately I
wanted to, but I just got new
tees.
I don't want to break them.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Dude, yeah, you
definitely don't want to do that
, and Pipbikes will do that toyou.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
They will.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
They throw you down
pretty easy, right, yeah Yeah.
And then there was some goodracing too.
So I think, from what I saw atleast, that that track really
lends itself very well to a lotof different option lines.
So give us a little bit of abreakdown of actually we'll go
into your racing, but give us alittle bit of a breakdown of the
tracks and what you got toexperience, and then we'll talk
(09:59):
about your racing.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
So we got to
experience the UTV track.
It is a super laid out, superclean track.
They have everything really puttogether.
It did change over the last fewyears that I've been there.
So this is my third year atVisions, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Dude, you're local,
yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I hope so.
I hope I become local.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
So it was a really
like.
When I want to go race a trackand I've raced a bunch of
different tracks in my life Ialways look for the best racing
conditions in the track, and Idon't mean like a perfectly
watered or groomed track, i meanlike a track where you have
options like you go outside, yougo inside, you have passing
lines.
Did I have that?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yes, they did have
that.
There was plenty of differenttype of driving styles that you
could have used on this track.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Which I think is cool
.
So did you have some prettygood battles.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Yeah, Yeah, I had
some pretty good battles, I'd
say, especially in the expertclass, more of an aggressive
kind of tone.
It was really cool, Yeah.
So what classes did you race?
So I raced women's NA andplaced second.
And then I raced no expert NAand then placed seventh overall.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Dude, really Yes,
were you getting it?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
or what.
It was pretty intense, some ofthe best racing I've done.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Really Yeah, so you
must be pretty proud of yourself
.
Good job, thank you.
So what was the?
you know, i don't know if youever heard me say it, but like
when you're in the zone, likeyou're in this, like tunnel, and
you just like you're drivingbehind the wheel and you just
all you can think about is arace and you feel like you're
like, oh my gosh, i could putthis car within an inch.
Like, is that the zone you werein?
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, it was crazy
Pushing the car to with limits
and not worried about anyonebehind you.
It was really intense, but someof the coolest driving.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Did you have some
good battles with people?
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Yeah, I actually did.
Yeah, Josie Watkins actuallythe real hit is coming on to the
show.
She was in first right in frontof me, So it was cool chasing
after her.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Is she a really good
driver, jess?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yes, She's super
talented, very good car.
Very excited to talk to her.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
So when you see a
girl like that racing, are you
like okay?
well, if she's a little bitbetter than me, i'm not going to
get pissed.
I'm going to try to elevate mygame and like, keep up with her.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
It definitely pushes
you as a driver and as a person
too, like it's really cool tosee someone above you so you
know you can do the same.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
That's exactly the
way that you learn good too,
because you have an open mindand a clear perspective.
Yes, that's going to be awesome.
So, from the beginning of theweekend until the end of the
weekend, if you were going toput like a percentage ratio on
it, like 10%, 20%, how muchfaster do you think you went on
the last lap compared to thefirst lap?
Speaker 3 (12:24):
I would say about 30%
to 40% faster.
Really that much.
Yes, that's insane.
I haven't been really drivingthe RS1 lately So I had like
kind of a year, maybe half ayear, break.
So it was pretty like crazy tolike go from nothing to
everything, but I really, ireally pushed myself.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
And what about your
family and everybody and all
your friends and the pit crewand stuff that was helping
support you?
Were they like wow, bella, youdrove fantastic?
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah, no, I had
Kinley out there.
She really helped a lot.
My mom, my dad, they all, theyall really supported.
It was really cool.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yeah, i'm just saying
like for the progress, though,
like you guys like do a downloadof information or a debrief,
like on your way home or likeafter we got GoPro footage going
on so we can look back see whatlines we took.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
I usually compare
with my brother, So we know, you
know, like what I could dobetter next year or what I need
to, you know, keep it improvingand stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Did your brother race
too?
Yes, he did.
How did he do?
Speaker 3 (13:17):
He raced the pro
stock class for the first time
with Chase.
Oh, really A little nervewracking.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
He's been jumping up
quite a bit, But um yeah, I
guess coming up to that nextlevel, especially with how
competitive that class is,because that's honestly one of
the most competitive classes onthe track.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Aggressive clean
drivers, but aggressive for sure
.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Right, but it's
everybody that's coming up from
the fast kids like dude.
I always tell everybody thatthat's one of the best classes
to watch because those kids havesuch it was so intense And
their skill set is like yeah, and their skill sets mind
blowing.
Sometimes it's like ballet, seeing them both sideways.
Oh yeah, yeah, it's crazy.
And so your brother was stokedon his performance or I'd say
(13:56):
he's pretty stoked.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
He unfortunately had
to fall back due to some
mechanical issues.
Oh, bummer, yeah, no, he'll gethim next time It was.
It was really cool watching him, especially Chase too.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, exactly.
Well, there's your new friends, josie Watkins.
She just joined us as well.
So, hi, josie, we'll get you onin just a little bit.
Here We're trying to see if wecan give Cowboy and Dustin just
a little bit more time.
They're stuck at the airport, sowe're going to keep our fingers
crossed that we can still getthem on.
If, for whatever reason, wecan't, maybe we could do another
Instagram live with those guys.
What the airlines not screwingthem over.
(14:26):
So, to continue talking aboutthe, actually what time is it?
So we got a five.
We got a little bit more timebefore Hunter and Cody come on.
So I think it's really coolthat you got to experience all
that stuff.
But I also want to understand alittle bit about how you guys
(14:46):
operate your program and thekind of stuff that you saw there
, because I always talk abouthow Off-road is a collaborative
effort and just a really goodcrew of people.
Right, right, was there a lotof people that were coming into
the pits helping other peoplewith set-ups or broken cars or
different things like that Thatyou saw?
Speaker 3 (15:04):
yeah, especially the
people out there.
They're super, super nice, super humble, but it's not
something you can do alone.
You need a program to help youout, like we.
We had a bunch of peoplehelping us out.
If this was their job and theysaw someone struggling, they
would still go help them withtheir job, if that's just the
kind of people we surroundourselves with.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
But no offering has
such a good camaraderie.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yeah, yes.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
And then one other
thing that I want to do is I
wanted to go on the lazy river.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Oh yeah, that was,
that was the best.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Did you see that jet
ski?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
guy.
He was doing back Oh it wascrazy.
You know you watch the live orno.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, yes, i did with
the blue and suit and
everything.
Yeah, it was really cool.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Really, how does he
do it?
Speaker 3 (15:39):
It's just with the
throttle, it just like flips, or
it was a Brian car was tellingme that those stand-ups were
Built for that.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
They it just like
pops up.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Oh yeah, you just hit
it and it goes dude, that's
nuts, okay.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
And then I was gonna
ask you to like some of the
coolest racing, at least that Isaw from afar on social media
Was two things I saw thoseelectric cars which, with the
professional drivers, lookInsane cool, and the Volkswagen,
yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Yes, so which was?
Speaker 1 (16:03):
your favorite out of
both of those?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Um, I would have to
say the electric cars were they
just insane fast.
No, they were insane fast andhitting everything like it was
effortless It was.
it was pretty cool to watch.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
How about, like, when
they Go into corners and come
out of corners, since they haveso much power, they really slide
in a lot or they get traction.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Um, i would say they
kind of slide a lot.
There was really no traction, but it was cool watching some of
the lines that they took whenthey were going close to tires
and stuff you got some fans cameAnd saying hi to you.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I said then you know
these girl at heart, Oh yeah.
And then it looks like shekeeps trying to join the the
live with us three later on.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
I know.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
It's funny, all right
, and then mod kids What's up.
So I Wish I was there.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
No, it's, it's an
experience, experienced.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
It takes a lot of
yeah, oh time came in, 21 said
the electric cars ran on slick.
Yeah, dude, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
No, they were.
They're pretty insane to watchon slicks.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Really, dude, that's
wild.
How can they get any tractionon dirt on slick?
I Wonder if that's on purpose, like by design.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Um, i would say the
car, the track was pretty wide
enough, you know, just becomfortable.
But dude.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, but that's got
to be like peeling out all over
the place.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Pretty, some
experienced drivers up there.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
It was a whole week
of racing.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah, pretty much,
whether it was RC car racing or
pitback racing, some type ofracing, even Barbie Jeep racing,
really, yes, what the heck isthat you get in a Barbie Jeep
and you go down this huge hillAnd whoever hits the water first
wins, don't you bite the dust?
Oh, it was like people werecoming out of the water with
(17:47):
blood and coming down their own.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yeah, Dude, it
probably looks like a scary
movie at the bottom It was crazy.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
It was so crazy
people just eating it.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yes, I would wear a
helmet.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, most of them
had helmets and then some of
them just straight.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Oh, is it that one
thing where they're sliding down
the hill?
all crazy.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Dude, I don't know
Like you got your moto the next
day and you're just going outtearing stuff up people were
nuts.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
It was crazy.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
I mean that is pretty
cool right.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Yeah, it's pretty
cool.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
And so we're gonna
ask actually, was there any
secret lines out?
Speaker 3 (18:20):
on course, Not ones
that I took.
I mean, well, i did take agrass line, but that's about it.
On purpose, yes, some purpose.
Was it a fast?
Yeah, it was fast.
I got there.
I did what I did.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Oh, there you go.
Your mom says she wants to dothe Barbie Jeep with Michelle
next year.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Oh yeah, it's
happening, We're doing it.
Hey, you drew Barbie Jeep.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Your mom's gonna get
all bloody dude, put a good
helmet on your mom.
Make sure she doesn't liketotally eat crap.
You're gonna have to take careof her if she's gonna want to
race.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
She's making you wear
all the safety gear.
You got to make her do it tooright.
I'll take care of the mom andthen as far as, like, the whole
week goes, is it a really long,drawn-out process or are they
pretty on time with all of the?
Speaker 3 (19:05):
events and stuff
really on time.
They everything's on schedule, especially the practices and
races, and you know Stuff getsdone when it gets to get done
and it is fun and super sillythe whole week.
But they do take the racingvery seriously.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
So yeah, it seems
like they got a pretty good
operation going there And I knowit's gonna.
I know it's gonna keep growingIn terms of.
Pointer also said that they'regonna build a new short course
track And I forgot what elsethey said that they were gonna
build there.
But it sounds like, with allthe stuff that they're doing
there, it's gonna really startgrowing and a lot of people are
gonna start going there.
Yeah, dude, you're gonna haveto get What do you want to call
it like a vacation or Airbnbhouse out there that you can
(19:41):
stay at they got little Cavitsand stuff, so I'm gonna stay in
oils.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Yes, like little
houses great, they had to go
food court tacos.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Dang.
So basically you're saying Icould just live there.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Yeah, i mean, they
have tacos.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
So do they have
internet, because we could do
the show.
That's perfect.
Oh, actually.
So Michelle said that the rainactually messed up the schedule
a little bit And there was atonight tornado warning.
I actually did have some of theguys from Maxis actually
Messaged in and let us know thatthere was a tornado warning as
well.
But, man living in Oklahoma, that's something that you just
(20:15):
got to deal with.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, I was pretty
gnarly.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
All right.
So let's see if we can get.
I don't know if Hunter and CodyMiller are already online, but
let's get you guys to join realquick and then we get the move
forward And then if cowboy andDustin are able to join, they
can.
Yeah, there you go.
It's a reverse pointer, so thatI have starlink and a spot you
can use.
That's perfect.
Dude, did she see old markGomez on his freestyle jet ski?
(20:39):
Yes, i did.
Is that the one we were justtalking about?
Yes, okay, i'm for sure goingto be there for the Barbie Jeep.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
See, yeah, it's.
It's intense, intense than mostsome of the races that were
going on the problem is, is it'sso intense?
Speaker 1 (20:55):
because, like they're
willing to kill themselves For
a car BG?
Speaker 3 (20:58):
those seatbelts know
nothing, just straight down in
this plastic little bin.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
I mean.
Someone say it's kind of dumb, but I would also say it's pretty
gnarly.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Oh, it's you would
have to have a lot of guts to be
able to get pushed down a hill.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Okay, so what's the
odds that your mom bails out at
the last minute?
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Um.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Or is she?
or is she pretty, like if shesays if she commits, she's
committing?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
yeah, i think my mom
could commit to do that solid?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Oh, she'll commit Oh
because they're gonna vibe off
each other.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
They're besties.
If they just hold hands on thehill, they're good.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
You think they're
gonna do that?
I hope so matching jeeps or youthink they're gonna do
different jeeps?
Speaker 3 (21:34):
matching Gotta be
twins.
They're their besties.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Would you, would you
do it?
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I know I kind of
still feel like I wouldn't
because I feel like I would diegoing down the hill.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
We'll live the next
day.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Do they have any
jumps?
Speaker 3 (21:46):
No, it's just
literally one steep downhill
into a big puddle.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
So how fast are you
on?
Speaker 3 (21:51):
pretty fast.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Is that?
hopefully there's no rocks onthe puddle.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
I don't know this guy
was coming out with blood and
like a pretty gnarly smile.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
You better be
standing with the camera at the
bottom of the hill.
Uh, my sister, Brooklyn gotthird in your race.
You were fast.
Yeah Well, that's cool man.
So there was a lot of girlsracing.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Yeah, yeah.
No, that was really cool.
The women's NA class and turboclass was pretty intense.
Um, i love seeing all thosedrivers out there, so it's
really cool.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Yeah, uh, tell us a
little bit about, uh, the I
don't want to say the logisticsof your race, but the uh, how
you started your race, um, how Iwas going in the middle and
then how it ended, um so Istarted off third in the line
and I kind of kept my way in andthat there was some pretty
gnarly flips from some of thegirls, which was crazy.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
I hope all of them
are okay, but um, that made me
get in second and then justchasing after josey, making sure
I held my line, kept my cornersand straights going and then I
finished off the race, thewomen's class in second.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Were there any
sketchy moments?
Um pretty.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Um, pretty pretty,
yeah, sketchy moments for sure.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Is it because you
were pushing it past your limit?
You think, or.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
I, I would say I just
there was just sometimes where
I could have like chilled out alittle bit.
But I'm I'm glad with where Iended.
I kept the car in one piece andit was ready for the next race.
So they were back to back racestoo.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
But oh, back to back,
yes.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yes, i went from
women's to expert in less than
30 minutes, but did you get any?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
food.
No, no, really.
So, uh, one thing that I'mproud of you for is, like,
that's a hard management pinningwith uh, you have diabetes,
just like I do like, and so youwere able to handle it and be
able to get through all that.
Yes, and that's a lot of timetoo, because that's probably a
three-hour span that you wereable to.
Dude, you're getting a lotbetter at controlling your stuff
, dude, good job.
Uh, all right.
So I just texted uh textmessage Cody Miller, hunter
(23:39):
Miller and Kyle Chaney, sohopefully they'll jump on here.
Otherwise this is gonna be meand you talking about all this
stuff, velar Um, and then we canget the kids on in just a
little bit.
So hopefully we'll get them tojump on.
Uh, when you were out there Andsince you're learning, you're
starting to go a lot faster thanyou were, like, let's just say,
a year ago Yeah, um, were youable to know if, uh, like I
(24:02):
could make a different tirepressure change?
I could make a shock change.
Yeah are you getting that to bethat good and in tune with your
car, that you know what thosethings are for the next race?
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Yeah, you have to be
able to feel out the car and
make sure that it's okay.
That's what's practice for Youknow, you go into practice and
then I come off the track and Itell my dad and I talk to him
And I send him down and tell himeverything that I need and
stuff.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
So Yeah, it takes
work and knowledge but it's it's
easy, and then they get back toyou and let you know whether
it's good, bad or whatever whatthey changed, how to feel it
next time and and get it going.
Hunter Miller.
What's up, dude?
What's that Dude we're justtalking about?
uh, mao, are you feeling pretty, pretty sore?
(24:46):
So give us a little bit of arundown why you're feeling sore.
Yeah, i do that.
Remember how we were talkingabout how it was a wi-fi last
time.
I don't think it's the wi-fi, ithink it's your speaker on your
phone.
Speaker 6 (25:06):
Maybe that'll work,
maybe that'll work.
Anyway, i need to do that.
I'm ignoring Uh yeah, there'sactually that that can you down
down a still line line Going upto a soon it in the first you
can easily overshoot you, whatit wasn't, and then why last
what you had to really checkbreaks, or you over, jump over a
(25:28):
lot of it and I was over Everysingle Can I go and so I'm
soaring out.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Yeah, i can only
imagine, plus the short course
cars.
For anybody that's likewatching on the list or watches
desert racing is that the shortcourse cars are like, let's just
say, nine to 12 inches off theground and they are sass like.
So what hunter's talking aboutis like You don't almost have
time to judge what's coming upnext, unless you're like really
muscle memory.
Uh, all right, hunter, we'regonna try to see if we can get
uh uh Kyle chaney on here, soyou guys have that time talking
(25:59):
together.
There's some dude, uh, kyle.
Actually, what you shouldprobably do is upgrade your
instagram app on your song, because they had an update and
instagram sucks.
So if you update your app onyour phone, you'll probably have
an easier time connecting.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
Uh, all right, so a
point of amateur.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
He knows how to drive
a can am, but he can't even
update his phone.
No, no, it's terrible.
So give me a little bit of a ofa rundown hunter on the uh, uh,
the race in itself.
So, uh, and I mean, like, howmany people were there?
Uh, the track, like, does itlend past, lend a good passing,
(26:37):
like can you drive differentlines?
that kind of stuff, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
I want to tell you
before this I had no idea.
It was like like a man Really, yeah, yeah, i got gosh.
That was crazy, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Dude with Bella and I
were just talking about.
It's like one of those thingslike what do they say?
if you build it, they will come.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Yeah, that's what I
want to go on.
I'll know they.
Uh, it's not but that I eversummit.
I gave some time.
I don't plan playing for fouryears or so and it's absolutely
wild.
I heard there about three, three, four way.
Well, in faith, one, one or 30out there.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Oh yeah, really they
got three stages.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Yeah, you can, yeah,
you can imagine.
So Out there I see, wheneverwe're on the side, the side.
I know, you know, last lastball thing thing, and when we
were there two weeks before, tothe side of side, uh, i don't
you know if I trip like trip, and by the time and by the time
(27:40):
here there was an all last, allway, and then, and then The
bottom, and then I, i found thehill where guys were over there.
It was like like a whole that I.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Dude, that's so crazy
.
It's getting pretty cool to seethat, though I mean like I
always wish they could do it incalifornia, but there's like
zero way that would ever happenin california.
So it's kind of nice to see.
Uh, how far is the j Oklahomafrom you guys in texas?
Hey, so the content jr mediasaid to take your phone off
speaker, i don't think that'seven possible on instagram.
(28:17):
Yeah, it's like.
Well, it's not like, uh, likerepeating or like echoing, but
it, uh, it's like.
I think the repeat or whateveris making it bog out, so we hear
only every third word.
Do you want to log off and logback in, maybe?
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, let me try.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
All right, cool, i'm
gonna see if I can get kyle on
real quick.
Here you go.
Do you think it's funny howgood of a relationship they all
have together, all the yellowand black guys from canam?
They just have fun together, right Yeah the whole clean sweep
to first thing and third.
I know that's what I like.
I texted Uh, why am Iforgetting your name?
(28:59):
Uh, from canam, valery fromcanam.
I texted her and I go, dude, they all look the same.
Like, how am I supposed to box?
How am I supposed to tell who'swho right?
Yeah, uh, kyle chaining.
Dude, you got to update yourinstagram app.
Bro, figure it out, go to yourapp store and your phone and
update your instagram app Andthen we'll get you on buddy.
(29:19):
I texted you to do it too, sowe're gonna give you crap when
you get on the show.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Uh, kody weller
should join too.
Kody bailed on us last time, though, so i'm gonna have to
give him some crap.
Let's get to the races lasttime.
Uh, it is kind of crazy, thoughthat what like if we're not
serious now that hunter wastalking about um, kind of over
shooting stuff, and what I getfrom that, being an x
professional short course raceras well, is He was pushing
(29:46):
really hard, yeah, because thepace was so fast, like keeping
up with Kyle chaney or stayingin front of his brother.
Could you feel some of thatpressure too, with the drivers
of you around, like I can't makea mistake or I got to go that
much faster, like I have to pushmyself?
Speaker 3 (30:00):
you really have to
stay with them.
There's a matter of seconds orelse, like you know, you start
falling off.
It's, it's super intense.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Was it hard for you
to do that?
because that's sometimesdifficult to manage in your head
.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Um, women's na and
expert na they're both, like,
have different aggressions foreach class.
So I had to really, like youknow, calculate some of the
jumps.
Like the rhythm section was one, two, three.
So if I wanted all three to begood, i had to calculate the
first one correctly So the restcould kind of fall into place,
you know really Yes, That's kindof wild right.
Yeah, no it's.
(30:32):
It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
You got some gnarly
footwork on the pedals, but Yeah
does it make you feel likeyou're getting better or does it
make you feel frustrated, likehow does it make you feel when
you're not?
Speaker 3 (30:44):
gonna try to not have
like a hot head, It's like a
hot temer or anything like that.
You know like you gotta keepbreathing, keep calm and Just
think.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
But yeah, i guess
you're right.
Like that's a It's a hard thingto handle, like and I talk
about this in life in general islike Growth and being open to
that growth.
Like it takes a while and youhave to really be open and have
an open perspective To be ableto learn how to do all that.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Yes, I agree.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
All right.
Well, i don't know what's goingon with with Kyle Cheney's With
his Instagram.
We'll see if we can get hunterMiller on.
Uh, how about now?
Oh, dude, that's so much better, really.
Yeah, like it sounds perfectnow, instagram, instagram, oh,
perfect.
There you go.
I don't know what's going onwith Kyle's, though.
(31:29):
Uh, i don't know.
Maybe we need to update ourInstagram app or something, but
it doesn't seem like Kyle canget on, so Yeah, it's not very
smart, Very smart.
Uh, what about your brother?
Did he bail on us?
Also not very, also not verysmart.
Do you think he's out fishing,or what I don't know.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
I'm here to be late
today, though, so Uh, uh.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
So I got a message
from trevis pointer.
He said there was 287 entriesfor short course and over 570
racers for all of the events.
That's pretty sick.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
You have your imagine
it two years ago stand 287 at a
full first race.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
No, absolutely not
like dude.
I remember a luke'sprofessional days like we were
stoked if we got like I don'tknow, let's just say 50 to 60
like yeah, like Dude, that'swild man.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
You know in 2020 how
long we were at tax planks.
Why broke 100?
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yeah, this is.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
I remember that.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
And this is, let's
just say, triple that.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah, yeah, no way it
grew.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
Dude that's wild, the
big, big good system on a spec
status They had there.
Well, did they have a lot?
Oh, i'm telling you, george islike one of those places you
can't describe on it, just haveto see it.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Yeah, i definitely
want to get out there.
Um, i do get to go out there.
I got to go out there in acouple weeks, but it's not for a
race.
So, um, it'll be interesting togo out there and at least see
it.
Maybe I'll get to have some fundriving around that place a
little bit.
Um, what's the next big racethat's over there?
Speaker 5 (32:55):
I think there's
another.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
They're in America.
Short course in the end atIwawa.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Oh, here we do.
Now Kyle's coming up withexcuses.
He's at Crandon, he doesn'thave enough internet, uh-huh.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
I'll back it.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
I'll back it, that is
true.
Well, that's awesome because hemakes plans for the Dirt Life
show, so it makes me feel reallyapart.
But there, well, at leastthanks for you being solid.
You know what's funny, though, bella, he's the only one that
was honest with me and said Idon't know if I'll be able to
join, and then he's the only oneSo far, yeah, so far.
(33:28):
Even Cowboy and Dustin bailedon us too, because their
airlines screwed them at theairport right now.
So you're solid, dude.
Yes, you're solid.
Now we're going to ditch youfor the kids in a little bit.
Was it cool to see actually thekids racing?
Because Bella got a bunch ofkids to come on the show tonight
?
Speaker 6 (33:48):
It was non-starred.
It's race space there the wholetime.
They have quite a few to get toglasses, so that's what it's
got hard for me to keep up with, but I know every single one of
them is full and it's some goodrace, i'm sure it Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
I love seeing the
kids, man.
That's like one of the bestthings.
And you know what we weretalking with Bella about right
now, Hunter and you've gonethrough this in your
professional career is she's atone of those stages where she
can see herself going from, like, let's just say, the novice
class to the intermediate class,to the expert class, And those
steps are very, very distinctwhen you're that young, right
Like, and she noticed that shewas like about what'd you say
(34:24):
30% or so faster at the end ofthe week or at the end of the
week compared to the beginningof the week, So like, when I
hear stuff like that, it makesme so excited.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
Oh, absolutely, i
mean, of course, at her age,
like you're progressing reallyfast.
Yep, when you get to my age, you're just like trying to pipe
her in.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Well, we were just
talking about that, though,
because, like you and all theguys right Like you, guys are at
the top level at side by sideracing, and the speed and the I
don't know the time differencesare so minimal.
The speed is so fast that thatwas the reason that you had to
push so hard during your raceand overshoot that jump is
(35:03):
because you're trying to make upthose milliseconds Like that's
bonkers.
That side by side racing hasgotten that gnarly.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
Yeah And my, I felt
like qualifying quite a bit soon
.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
What happened at
Qualify?
Speaker 6 (35:17):
We went out and I
went out, made about half of
what happened when I was in theGeorgia circuit And, oh crap, i
had to go straight back to thatand even make a lap, so I had to
start dead long.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
No way, really.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's not good, dude, thatsucks, but you made it all the
way up to the second place, soyeah well, I don't know, I came
up with it before And, yeah, even had some spin outs and
dropped along the way and butended up fourth in that moto.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
And then second moto
got second, mine, mine, so six,
two got me second over all.
Everybody kind of had me.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
So oh, yeah, and they
do moto style format there.
huh Yeah, i actually reallyliked that Cause.
then you get a chance forredemption.
You don't just go out there andblow your wad in the main event
.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (36:05):
Yeah, definitely.
I mean, I think I would like itboth ways.
You know, if it's going to betwo day events, I think the
motors format school, but I alsothink a main event on Saturday
and a main event on Saturdaywill be awesome too.
You know, that way you havedouble chances to win.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Yeah, exactly, all
right.
So I'm going to show a littlevideo here to yourself and to
the audience And I'm going toask, since your brother's not
here, to defend himself.
He said I'm not about his linechoices Like he's got a secret
line here And then look at thenext video, like, and this is
all by your media guy as well,so another secret line.
(36:42):
Look at that.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
Right through the
middle If you go back, so you
can see how strong it is comingdown that hill, because they do.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
But that was actually
the sickest line though,
because like he executed thatpretty much perfect, like I
don't think there's any betterway to execute it than the way
that he did.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
So yeah, you can see
it's kind of using the inside
tire like going to burn.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, well, he's
getting traction.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
He's using all of the
track.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Look at how flat
sideways he got towards the
bottom of it too.
So anybody that's going to.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
That was pretty sick
though right, and that section
is kind of weird.
I don't want to.
You know they meant for it tobe a split lane, but you
actually kind of the outsideleads you into jumping that
sideways, so sweet.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Was that one of the
ones that was heard in your back
?
Speaker 6 (37:31):
Nah, that one does,
so just some video of it later.
But yeah, you come down andstill and we're actually
chatting about that laterbecause they just kind of
figured out what was my boostedrisk But when we looked at it,
my GPS speed coming down, i wasright at on.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
But do you have a lot
of G-forces, then Oh yeah, yeah
, like you're coming downsideways.
Speaker 6 (37:55):
And then in the
bottom there was a huge hole
that if you hit it, i mean itwould now slip down.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Oh really.
So you must have been hittingsome serious G-forces.
Yet.
That data actually helps quitea bit.
I remember one time at WildHorse Pass we were hitting
something like in the first turn.
I think we were only going inlike I don't know, let's just
say 75 miles an hour And wewould hit the first turn and it
would be upwards of 15 Gs Forlike, but it's just a
millisecond, so it doesn't feellike that.
But then you would hit jumpsand you would have that smacking
(38:23):
like what Hunter's talkingabout And we would actually blow
the whole intake system off ofour YXE Like they had to build a
brace for it so that itwouldn't hold, because it would
just pop the whole thing off.
It was crazy.
So that's why he was talkingabout his tubes coming off.
Yeah, yeah, it could have beena part of my problem, right,
(38:43):
jesus, hitting is so hard.
Speaker 6 (38:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But what's up?
Just every time we'd gothriller and I would on by it, i
would pass somebody right thereso I couldn't quit doing it.
Oh really, you had a hotline.
Oh, it was good.
Yeah, it was.
They had watered right beforeus And so coming down that hill
it was super slick in the grooveBut I was kind of staying out
in the cushion actually quite abit.
(39:05):
There was muddy out there, butyou could at least carry your
speed And then you'd come offthe first tape, pull top
sideways this way, and thenyou'd get the gas and you'd come
on the next one that's sidewaysthis way, and then you'd bomb
the last one.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
That's kind of crazy.
How was it then?
So did you just have to prepareeach time?
Because I kind of see you inthe car rotating back and forth,
just like ahead of time.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
And then I'm running
SC1s out there And in the
cushion.
They don't have very big lugsbecause they don't have a whole
lot traction in there anyway, Soit was just kind of spinning
all the time.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Yeah, well, kyle, if
he was here he would say
spinning as went in.
Speaker 6 (39:41):
but he's not here, so
yeah, well, it was the only one
.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
How was the racing,
though?
like at all seriousness,Because it looked like your
guys' I only got to see a littlebit, but it looked like the
pace was just insane fast.
Speaker 6 (39:54):
Yeah, it's not really
.
It's funny.
Usually it's about, you know, bella making steps up over the
years and stuff, and I wastalking with somebody today
about kind of the same day inour class, i think you know.
Look who's here, cody Miller.
What's up?
Oh, i'm sorry I'm late to theparty.
All right, hunter couldcontinue.
(40:15):
Yeah, i was going to say likethe 7, 8, 10 place today And see
what, what a one a year ago.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah, that is kind of
crazy.
So, cody, just to catch you up,we're talking about, like the
difference in pace Like nowadayscompared to what it was a few
years ago.
It's pretty crazy, like, because you guys are fighting
for milliseconds on the trackbut you guys are all driving
really well, except for cheatersthat are cutting the track,
like somebody right here that wejust showed a video like that
one.
Speaker 6 (40:44):
Well, I'm definitely
going to use the whole track out
.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Good, bella, did you
see that line that he took, and
then you, and then did you go totake it or not?
Speaker 3 (40:56):
No, no, no, no, no, i
got my own lines.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
But seriously, like
that's, that's a, it was a
fantastic line and it's totallylegal to do that, right?
So it was like it was perfectfor you to go out there and like
actually execute on that, because you're trying to get
traction and it's exactly whatHunter's talking about.
You're fighting formilliseconds.
Speaker 6 (41:15):
Yeah, i was.
You know I had a tire on insideof that bull corner under
actually turns completely justafter running other people off
the track.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
So I know like he's
taking his head.
And they said oh, is he tryingto act like he's perfect over
here and he's actually the onetaking people out?
Speaker 6 (41:35):
or course track out
there.
I just I felt terrible.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
But if you like him,
hey, what car are you driving
right now, cody?
The reason I asked is becauseare you out near Hunter's house
stealing his Wi-Fi?
Speaker 6 (41:53):
Yeah, So I was just
like I don't know.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
You're away from me.
It's hilarious, dude.
You got so funny, so that'shilarious.
What are you guys up to today?
Speaker 6 (42:10):
Trying to get all our
stuff back in line.
Seems like we almost out oftime.
Just a mad dash to try and beprepared.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Yeah, dude, it's
actually.
So when's the next thing?
you have to have every all thevehicles ready for.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
We're going to be out
a week, so maybe like our
biggest break in two months.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
So finally, you can
go out to eat with the wives and
make sure you treat them good.
Speaker 6 (42:38):
I don't know if we
have time for that.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Hey, so Kyle can
defend himself.
Let us know how his race went.
Were you guys battling prettyhard, though?
Because if you had to startfrom the back, cody, where'd you
start at?
Speaker 6 (42:59):
Well, the first all
position but I came out second
behind and it was really wet andslick that mud up And those
tires on the wet.
I was definitely not givingKyle a run for his money or
anything like that.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
Oh, was he using
knobby tires?
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (43:18):
Nobby is kicking on,
but then halfway the car was off
.
I worked dude because the trackis getting like a flat.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Yeah that sucks.
Did you have to change it or doyou just run it all the time?
Speaker 6 (43:32):
I have to raise my
arms.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
So you have to come
from the back.
Speaker 6 (43:41):
Yeah, in a second,
and then when we took it back
off, i dropped all the way to.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
Okay, yeah, that
makes sense, dude, it sounds
like.
It sounds like you guys had apretty eventful weekend.
Speaker 6 (43:56):
All over the place.
For sure, we had a really goodon the second motor.
Both started well.
We went on our fourth and sixthand came out first and second.
So I don't really.
Yeah, i'm still not sure howthat happened.
Like I got it, i was right, i'mfat as can.
I got a great jump on him andtried to go to the left of him
(44:17):
and then came into the turn andI was doing good and Cody just
went motor and right through themiddle of all of us.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Dude, what did you
just have like a moment, or how
did that work out?
Uh, i just got the track.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Did really.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
Nobody cares Right
now.
Nobody cares, that's fine, it'sfine, it's fine, ah, it's.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
Cody, that's funny,
man.
What about like the battlingand stuff?
like, because Bell and I weretalking about it was there lines
on the track where, like, youcould take the outside and
somebody else to take the inside, and it was like, even so, you
guys could actually have a lotof fun playing around on the
track?
Speaker 6 (44:54):
Yeah, i'd say there's
like one main race line but if
you're faster than somebody infront of you, you can definitely
find a way around becauseyou've got a lot of options.
The the track set big and widethat you know.
You could just change theangles and and go around people
pretty not easily, but you coulddefinitely pass.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Right did uh Fokker
fabs and uh Brody 44 keeps
saying hunger is slow.
So I don't know if they're yourhomies.
Yeah, they're not, i don'tthink.
Speaker 6 (45:20):
I like one of them.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
I don't think I like
one of them but okay, so in your
guys is the class?
I mean like again you'refighting for milliseconds.
Does that mean that you have topush really hard to get around
the guy and starting you?
or like, because it seems likeif there's one main line, it
would be difficult to well, unless maybe the, as the track
matures, it's going to startgrowing those lines around the
outside or wherever, and thoseare going to get faster.
Speaker 6 (45:41):
Yeah, you know yeah,
you know like the lines change
and we were there for a long, alot of number and certainly
where we set fast lap times inour qualifier we were not
running the same lines in thepain and you know it's just ever
changed the more laps to getburned, it gets more.
(46:03):
I mean the tracks, so there'sso many angles for the guys in
the outfield Sometimes look andyou know they've got like a
tabletop leading the corner onthe inside.
Only that leaves this secondhalf of the track wide open to
have like a big, wide bull turn.
It was really good And made itreally well.
(46:24):
I'm sure that you know watchthe race can see for all the
passes that have all the classes.
That's not as far that.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
Yeah, that's what I
was going to say, like.
like, if I was just out therepracticing, i would be taking
those hero lines like all theway around.
just that fun, just floatingaround the whole bar.
I mean it looks so fun.
Speaker 6 (46:43):
Yeah, i like how you
said, the track changed quite a
bit because you have the naturalrally cars out there and
they're obviously taking all thecorners completely different
than we do.
So it and then they would, youknow, move some inside barriers
around a little bit in a coupleof corners, and just the track
was changing a lot, a lot underthe course of the weekend.
So whoever could kind of adaptto it the fastest was the one
(47:06):
that would be going the fastest.
Does that mean that you guyshad a change set up or no?
I didn't change my too much.
I mean we we make very smalladjustments for the most part,
but you know, we didn't know ifit was going to rain or not, I
guess.
So we had red tires on standbyand but we weren't going to
change too much with the jocks.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
Wedd.
you said you didn't reallychange too much, Did you go?
Speaker 3 (47:27):
Well, not too much,
Just easy little adjustments
tire, pressure and stuff.
but that's about it.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Did you get to watch
the pro class races?
Well, i did.
Did you learn any lines fromthem?
or learn, or learn what not todo?
Either one of those, no it's.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
It's crazy to watch
your guys's races and kind of
understand what lines I need totake.
I learned a lot from you guys.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
So what is something
that you noticed?
Speaker 3 (47:49):
Yeah, lines,
competition, aggression, a lot
of other stuff.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
But Yeah, because
it's teaching everybody with the
visual cues, right, right.
Can you kind of tell whatthey're doing, like inside the
car, when you're watching themlike with their feet and their
hands?
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Sometimes, yeah, cody
, not really.
Speaker 6 (48:08):
They got a reactant,
i got white gloves, everything
When they're watching us.
We looked the slowest out thereon November 30th.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Oh, I mean, we
haven't gotten any comments that
said you guys are fast So.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
I would get mean that
.
I mean we're not, we're notvery wild throwing it in the
corners real hard or anything.
You know everybody says wedon't look like we're trying.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
You guys are smooth
and consistent, though, so that
I think those are key things.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Well, that's the,
that's the total thing.
Right, like it's kind of likethat What they used to tell us
in dirt bike racing or ATVracing.
Right Like the slower is faster, but it also, if you look
smooth, you can go faster.
Right, like that's theconsummate for a level racing.
Speaker 6 (48:50):
Yeah, and especially
I thought I tried that, i
thought I can tell you Yeah, totally.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
I'm going to actually
counter that, though, by
showing you a video of somebodythat uh yeah, it's not 120.
For your perspective, that's adude.
How was it sliding down thehill right there?
afterwards, though, holy crap,i was just glad that it came
back around.
All you were thinking it wasgoing to the rear end was going
(49:18):
to come around.
Speaker 6 (49:21):
It is gnarly that
next one has been a lot of
people Oh did it?
Oh it has.
Yeah, the last two racesactually, because it gets pretty
tight.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Yeah, thank you to
your content guy for getting us
all this stuff.
Dude, it's actually like youcan.
You can see it.
Yeah, look how slick it wasgoing in that corner, dude.
Oh yeah, you can see the knobbytires right there just gripping
Super cool videos though toactually check out.
But that's some of the cornersthat I was talking about.
(49:50):
Like, it looked to me like yeah, you said there was a fast line
, but it looked to me like therecould be other lines that burn
it.
Speaker 6 (49:56):
Yeah, no, it just
takes traffic, that's all.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
Yeah, that's true.
Well, 287 cars, that's a lot oftraffic.
What were some of your favoriteparts of the weekend, Cody?
Speaker 6 (50:08):
Um, so many cool
things that happened.
Qualifying was really fun.
You know, not really well, ididn't finish it at all, i
already didn't, i already didreally.
But it was fun just going outthere and breaking new track and
just what they had done, thenew things that we had to play
(50:28):
with the next you know season.
It was just cool exploring andfinding out What all they had
built well, not just that, butthe titter and stuff as well,
how much asphalt they care.
Watching the ultra-floor racewas really fun.
I mean, gosh, there was so manythings happen to him Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
That's a pretty
barely week to go through.
Yeah, yeah, like it's almostlike sensory overload, right
hunter.
Speaker 6 (50:58):
Did you guys get to
go watch the RC race?
then you thought by, if ourfriends I wanted to, i'd stop by
for five minutes and watch it.
No, it's like okay, i got tokeep going over here and talk to
this person and then I'd goback watch it for another 10
minutes.
I've never really sat down andand watched anything because I
kept moving, but it's prettycrazy.
I'm not sure what that means.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
I would have loved to
know that there was a RC car
race.
Hey, you want to know what'sfunny though?
fun fact, i know a couple ofthose RC guys better than I even
know you guys.
Yeah, it's one of my buddies, rent Mayfield, i think.
He ended up getting third inthe pro buggy class.
He came out like he's a bigside by side guy from Arizona,
so he came out and watched youguys racing stuff too.
He said it was so cool.
Speaker 6 (51:38):
I Don't know him,
obviously, but I know what it
was.
I was in that world for quite awhile, for sure big RC guy over
here.
Not that big face to me.
Can you drive with our seat car?
good, i used to.
That was pretty decent, forsure.
I mean I was anywhere near thatlevel, not even close, but so I
was up.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
Yeah, the problem is
is we all have ADD, we can't
concentrate.
Like they can't know.
You want to throw a shout outto your buddy right there though
, all right.
So What?
like what was some of the stuffthat you enjoyed outside of the
racing then?
because you guys always like tohave a pit party, you guys
usually have some good foodstuff.
Like that happening, and I knowthat you guys were out there
(52:20):
for a little while, so it was alittle bit of a background of
what was going on behind thescenes.
Speaker 6 (52:24):
Yeah, The rodeo is
really sweet Oh.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Really there was a
rodeo to yes.
Speaker 6 (52:33):
Instagram is coming
around the bowl.
No way.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
Is that true, cully?
yeah, 100%, he's got the bloodyshins through it and you're
trying to blame the racing forhurting your back there.
Dude, that's great.
Well, how was it hard?
No way did you, did you see?
Speaker 3 (53:00):
it.
No, I wish.
Speaker 1 (53:01):
I was.
Did anybody get that on thevideo?
I?
Speaker 6 (53:06):
Like rust has it on
video, i promise.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Okay, i'm gonna look
at rest his page real quick and
see if I can find it.
Bella, did you see that?
the little mechanical?
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Oh yeah, i was
tempted to ride one, but that
was like I have to race, so no,i'm not going to.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
So you're smarter
than the professional.
That's funny, man.
I do think it's cool that youguys had all of the ability to
be able to go out there and havea good time with it.
Let's see here.
I don't see it on here.
Oh, go, mine, it's not yours.
Okay, i'll look and see if Ican find it.
But tell us about a little bit, about behind the scenes, like
(53:42):
with you guys, because We weretalking about camaraderie and
support mechanisms here.
You both have a really open pitand you guys will help any of
the other drivers that comearound and you guys have good
setups and stuff like that.
So give me an understanding ofhow many people come by, how
many people talk to you guys andjust spread the joy of offer.
Speaker 6 (54:02):
Yeah, for sure, like
you said, we're we're kind of an
open pit.
No, it's like just air set upwith everybody, because I don't
like seeing people struggle andnot have fun.
Speaker 2 (54:20):
Oh, dude, that's
giving.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
That was actually not
bad, like I kind of want to
give your pops to that dude Andyour t-shirt how many seconds
did you last Dude?
Speaker 6 (54:37):
that's actually
pretty good Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
I'm here.
No, it wasn't one on the realbull.
Speaker 6 (54:41):
I think he's great
for the real ones.
Was it gnarly?
Speaker 2 (54:45):
I mean you wore
shorts and a Hawaiian shirt,
basically.
Speaker 6 (54:48):
So I mean like the
gear was pretty on point to.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
Oh, that's right.
You guys got big sponsored byNixon, now I, but no one.
It was.
Speaker 6 (55:02):
I like a week
honestly, canaan Baker The
bakers.
To me that comes spot forCanaan for the nitro rally race
and I bet you never done thatbefore So I was trying to figure
it out a little bit of time.
But you know, watching theimprovements he made over the
course of the day every time youwent on the track was actually
(55:23):
Brief of billing.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
Yeah, it is kind of
cool to see the behind the
scenes right to get the otherend of the spectrum, because
then you have a Reallyunderstand and respect what
people do like when they arespotting for you.
Yeah, no, absolutely It's, it'scool.
Speaker 6 (55:36):
You know you, you
want to like grab the wheel from
them and say, no, don't do itlike that.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Yeah, but yeah
exactly like you're inside the
car You know milk crying toExplain what I do and put it
into words rather than justnaturally doing.
Speaker 6 (55:51):
It was kind of a
challenge Also that I'd figure
out.
So it was fun.
It was the little bit different, it was fun.
Yeah, that is cool.
All right, cody.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
So we asked Bella the
same question a little bit
earlier, when you got to theraces, compared to your last lap
, your first lap, compared toyour last lap, how much
improvement do you think youmade over the whole weekend?
Speaker 6 (56:12):
I haven't honest any
of the time, so I can't tell you
the real answer, but I felt Ishaved Wow, that's pretty good.
So I'm gonna go ahead and saythat.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
Wow, that's pretty
good.
So, bella, like everybody, eventhe professionals are still
gaging that they're kind of liketrying to get better and better
as the weekend goes.
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (56:33):
I actually did look
at the lap and he got a five
lower.
No way They keep qualified withlike a 135 and in the race
running like 140s.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
So I can guarantee
Cuddy's a ruttle right now.
I was gonna say, yeah, i wastrack changes.
Speaker 6 (56:52):
I mean, i was
actually muddy so The track just
slowed down a little bitcompared to walled by, and I
don't know sure why, but it didwhere everybody.
Speaker 1 (57:05):
Well, that's the
exact kind of thing that I was
talking about, right, like thelines will change and new lines
will burn in, depending on wherethe races go And the level of
competition out there in thefuture, because some of the
lines will get better.
I mean, you'd look at techspecs last time we were there,
compared to the first time youwere there, like it was
massively different.
Yeah it is All right, so we weregonna play.
(57:26):
Are you smarter than a thirdgrader with cowboy and Dustin?
since they're not gonna be ableto come on, or whatever they're
doing at the airport, let's askthem three questions, the best
out of three.
Bella's got some good questionshere, all right, so let's pick
a question, bella.
Okay.
So, guys, your name is yourbuzzer, so whoever says their
(57:49):
name first gets to answer thequestion first.
We're gonna do two out of threeand now we're gonna play.
Are you smarter than a thirdgrader with Hunter Miller and
Cuddy Miller?
Bella, what's the firstquestion?
Speaker 3 (58:02):
What is the largest
planet in our solar system?
Cuddy.
Speaker 5 (58:09):
See it, that was a
good move.
Speaker 6 (58:13):
Because, you can
steal too, that, or?
Speaker 3 (58:18):
You're close.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
It is close.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
Jupiter.
I said, you didn't say Jupiter.
Speaker 6 (58:26):
You didn't say
Jupiter, we didn't, we had.
Well, they had one.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
If you didn't say
Jupiter, we legit didn't hear it
, uh.
Speaker 6 (58:34):
What's up All?
Speaker 1 (58:38):
right, who in?
are you guys ready for yoursecond question?
Who invented the telephoneHunter?
Does Hunter, hunter's, hunter'sgetting a lifeline or something
?
I'm sure that's in right.
I think Hunter fell down.
Speaker 6 (58:58):
I like the
underground out he totally got a
lifeline Cuddy, that was theone that invented electricity.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
Oh well, all right.
Well, it's all right.
So Hunter got the first answer,so one zero.
All right, go for it, bella.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
Okay, this is the
hardest question.
What's 25 times three?
This?
Speaker 1 (59:29):
You gotta say your
name.
Your name is your brother.
Cuddy got it.
Dude, now you're tied up.
Crap, all right.
I'm gonna give you a hardquestion.
Are you boys ready?
Hunter, we can't hear you verygood, so you're gonna have to
yell.
Speaker 4 (59:47):
All right, i'm not
giving you the answers.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
Well, she's not gonna
be able to look this one up, so
, cuddy, you might have anadvantage.
Are you guys ready?
Old farmer John gives you fiveapples, three times over.
How many apples do you have You?
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
didn't say your name,
well, I don't know how to give
it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Bella, should we give
them the question or some color
to draw?
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
I feel like one more
ending question.
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
All right, this is
for all the marbles.
You get 69 bonus points if youwin this.
Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
Okay, are you ready?
The first Thanksgiving wascelebrated by Native Americans.
And what other group of people?
Speaker 6 (01:00:39):
Cuddy, hi Cuddy.
The Native Americans must endthe children.
Dude, it's nailed it Hunter.
Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
You just got smoked
and you had two people.
You had two people, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
They both needed to
think about it for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
That was amazing.
Are you smarter than a thirdgrader?
hey, boys, we're gonna get someof the kids on.
Thank you very much for joiningus.
You guys are solid.
I really appreciate you guystaking the time with us.
Get back to your families, havesome fun.
We'll see you guys next.
Dirt live show Bye, see youlater.
That was a fun little game.
Do you think we can play thatgame like if we get any of the
(01:01:25):
kids on the I?
Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
honestly do a witch's
car.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
You think we could?
yes, all right, let's see if wecan.
So, all right, so now we'regonna get great Kelly on and
then I don't know, since theshow is kind of going wacko, why
don't we get Josie Watkins andchase car?
so if all you guys are watching, oh, here we go.
Never mind Cowboy Seroni, let'ssee if we can get him on real
quick.
Maybe Dustin will be with himtoo and we can do.
Are you smarter than a thirdgrader with both of them?
(01:01:49):
Hopefully their planes are likenot too bad right now.
Yeah, oh, there we go, dallal, cowboy Seroni.
What's up, buddy?
You're on a tram.
It sounds like huh No.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
Are we?
and now the UFC park.
Oh, crowd you guys up in Vegas.
Yeah, and Justin and I areracing tomorrow.
Really, where you guys racingat Atonopah Down the head day
somewhere?
Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
Dude, you've been
doing so much racing you don't
even know where you're at now.
Don't care.
Well, thank you very much forjoining us.
We really appreciate it.
So we're talking about allkinds of different stuff on the
dirt life show.
Tonight we're talking about areyou smart of the third grader,
a game that you love, hunter andCody Miller.
They just totally botched thewhole game so you would have
smoked them if you were on.
We're talking about racing atMAO, at Visions.
(01:02:45):
That looks actually pretty fun.
That's the main thing of thisshow.
So give us a little bit ofunderstanding of what your last
week was like at a Volkswagenbug.
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Yeah, get out of this
trailer.
I'll give you a little tour ofthe UFC on that one.
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
Yeah, that sounds
good.
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
The bug was Fine,
wrang a lot, so I kind of drive
be able to throw it in a littlebit drifting zero power.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Dude.
It looked like it was supercool, though like how was this
sending it over some of thosebig ass jumps?
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
You never in a
million years how you could send
your Uncle Larry's Volkswagenbug over at John's.
Take a little, trust me, it wasa good time.
Did you have any?
Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
like do you have an
opportunity to take a passenger,
or did they just want seaters?
Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
Yeah, they're a
choosey or not anybody?
they wouldn't let anybody.
Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Oh, okay, it would be
kind of cool to take a ride
with cowboy around the shortcourse you have, don't you think
It looked like pretty bigsenders.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Up there's the
training grounds.

That's how you get fasterracing.
Bella, you want to go overthere train yeah, then you over.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):

Well, thanks, cowboy, iappreciate it.
Man, that was pretty cool.
So what was going on?
your guys just playing Goddelaying?
I don't know.
Dustin said he was at theairport, so maybe it wasn't you,
maybe it was Dustin.
Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Wishcom tickets and
he doesn't.
Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
He cheaped out.
He got the $69 ticket.
You saw it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
I'm running the car
you're in or not.
I'm on the line.
I didn't even want you to ridein there with me, no.
Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
What car are you guys
gonna race this week?
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
We'll race in my car.
There's a pack right there.
Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Oh, there she is.
Yeah, give us a little bit of abreakdown on that bad boy.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
Hungry.
Hopefully they're gonna run atit.
She's ready.
Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Yeah, let's check it
out.
Let's check that bad boy outand see what the vote, what the
deal is behind that, because Igot a follow up question.
Dude, she looks good too.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
Hey Bella, do you
know, you know, you know that
we'll run in customs number,like I guess.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Enough for, but I
don't know many people that ran
the new Garmin.
But it's Yes, me too.
Oh, you done, you read it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
Yes, Is it super good
?
Yeah, yeah, very on point.
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
Okay, so cowboy, just
to introduce you.
This is Bella Bershard, hiyoung racer.
She loves desert as well.
I noticed that he had some keento see wheels.
You see those?
that was those things amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Amazing.
Yes, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Yeah, those are good.
Hey, so, since you gave usactually, this is a perfect time
to ask this question.
So she gave us a walk around ofyour old training ground and
the things that you used to do,and you're giving us a walk
around of the stuff that you'reinto Now.
What's the biggest differencein I don't know, i guess
lifestyle now compared to whatit used to be, since you're a
racer and a retired professionalfighter?
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
Well, well one, he
was listening to us.
Zero money.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
You know what they
say.
Right, if you want to become amillionaire, a race car driving,
then you start with two billionor three billion.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
You.
Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
But you're obviously
enjoying it though, because you
race last week.
Now you're racing this week.
There's a lot going on in yourlife.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Already dating as a
big opportunity to race.
A bug done and that rally crossgetting a key car.
Oh, in trying to side of frontbased Reno of all, i do this.
The rally cross or not, one ofthose elect are, i don't know,
orange help.
Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
So did you get the
test one or anything?
because they do those thingslook gnarly.
No, having to know it, dudethat's what I would do too, but
Bella said they drove so littleas they drove slicks.
Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
Yeah, came in King
and Baker.
They drove slick at America.
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Yeah, they were who
grew about on track.
Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
Dude.
That's honestly crazy to me,though, especially with all that
torque dude.
I.
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
Can't.
Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Dude, i want to be
there when you get in that car.
Let me know I'm gonna come outand see.
I Think it would be pretty fun,all right, so you guys are
gonna race that car this weekend, but give us a little bit of a
of a background on what happenedlast weekend.
So you went out and you raiseda bug.
Who won?
like were you battling up front?
like what was the deal?
Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
No, i At least I
definitely had a question and
there's a bunch of role Crash.
I thought it was both of Godthat I was in there, like all
the cars as you are.
It would have passed my wayaround here, but I'm not sure
who started their names.
They stopped the rate up.
(01:08:54):
There are times I just happenedto be the second Lucky position
.
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Oh, there you go,
that's perfect.
but it seemed like it waspretty crazy, like when we I
just saw like social media stuffIt seemed like the whole, like
the whole race had so muchdifferent action going on.
Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
It was insane.
You did this much like Right,no, no, you don't put it on the
gas and you take housing likeyou got a corner, the corner.
The men keep this and thensmash in the chaos.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
What about those big
turns?
like, could you get a lot ofspeed coming off those big turns
and come down those though?
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
You can be going into
him to like pick the ass inside
.
Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Like you're going up
the hill, you like I think I
can't.
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
I think I can't.
Yeah, I think I would out helpthis car get up faster.
Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Like the flint.
Is that on?
did you get to watch them race, bella?
Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
No, I didn't.
I didn't get to watch them.
Well, you should have cuz.
Clearly it sounds bitch.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
I know, Man.
I'm glad that we got you on theshow, man.
It was cool to see, and one ofthe things that I like most
about what you're doing now isthe Transition, because there's
a lot of people that are reallyenjoying watching you and your
career and everything coming upand off-road.
It's pretty cool to see, so youmust feel pretty good about it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
Right a lot.
The race community is full onbiting.
And now, like you, tomorrow, ifI go up there, i don't have a
car.
So they call here, take it offmy car, i'll get you later.
Happy several times out on theside.
Why we blown, it's the car guywas broke down next to us.
Give their tire.
You know, it's unbelievable.
Just the frontery, thelifestyle of off-road go.
Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Yeah, exactly what's
one of your favorite parts about
watching cowboy drive?
Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
I would say good,
especially the transition like
how you go from FMA.
Yes, no, it's good, it's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Yeah, it really is
cool, Right?
it probably gives youmotivation to be a better driver
yourself, right, bella?
That's very well that we reallyappreciate cowboy.
Thanks a lot, man, and thengood luck.
Kick some asses weekend.
tell that's nice.
Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
I said hi, i'm not
kicking it, we'll see if you get
Blonde.
Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
So we'll say you just
do it.
Yeah, kick him in the nuts ifyou see him for us.
Thanks, homie, see you.
Pretty cool to see, right, yeah, and like you said, though,
like it's really cool that Well, first of all, he respects
racing in the community andstuff by his progress, because
when he first got in the car Itwas much different than where
(01:11:31):
he's at now.
Right, that's pretty bitchin up, okay.
So let's get great Kelly onhere and then We will just keep
talking about some racing.
So thank you guys very much forhanging out with us.
If you don't follow the dirtlife show, feel free to go over
to dirt life show and give us afollow.
We'll talk about some moreracing.
Great Kelly, hi, how are you?
What's going down, man?
(01:11:53):
you just got done with a weekof racing.
Huh, did you have a good timeout there, like with all your
friends?
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
and I loved the lazy
river.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
She's now my new best
friend because our lazy river.
That's where I will be out thewhole time.
Like lazy rivers are my let goto oh yeah.
I love lazy rivers.
The only problem with the lazyriver, though, is you just never
want to get off.
Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
Yes, it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Is pretty cool to see
.
Could you see if whoeverholding the phone could go up to
bring out a little bit closerto you so that we could see you
a Little bit better and we canhear you a little bit better?
And then?
and so, what class did you endup racing this weekend, gray?
Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
And it's all well
limited.
Speaker 5 (01:12:40):
How'd you do I?
Speaker 4 (01:12:43):
Stored it out.
Oh, and then I got to 9th inthe in the main.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
How did you feel?
like you were driving prettygood, because that's actually
good at any time.
You could move up in positionas a positive thing.
Did you get to watch her at all, bella or no?
Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
I did it.
She was on fire.
It's pretty good.
I heard there was a lot of kidsout there and stuff for a lot
of good competition.
Yes, there was a.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
Cool, yeah, thank you
for moving the phone closer.
You sound much better now.
What are a couple of thingsthat we were talking about?
progression in your racing, progression and Cowboys racing
and the Miller Brothers Evenswhat was something that you saw
from grand as she progressedthroughout the weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
I would say, even
watching you practice to
watching some of the last racesthat you did, you had a lot of
good progression going andmoving up and going from 11th to
9th in your race, so that waspretty cool to see Yeah what
about like line choices?
Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
Did you notice he was
like use her head more kind of
thinking where she was put, thecar?
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
The 170s are a lot
smaller than some of the other
cars, so it's the tracks morewider to them, so they have an
advantage, kind of.
But it was good to see you, youknow, using footwork and
watching you pass and getting upthere.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
How long have you
been racing for?
Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
Okay, that's nice.
Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
So you've been having
a good time.
Obviously.
What's your favorite part aboutracing?
Champing having fun track andthen if you get to go to Lazy
River, what?
add that in as a bonus?
Speaker 3 (01:14:14):
Yeah, any tangos and
free ice cream.
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
Good God, she's like
my best friend seriously, but it
is cool to see that you'reprogressing too right.
So I asked Bella the samequestion Did you notice a
difference in your speed or theway that you felt driving the
car from when you first got outon the track The first day until
your last lap on the last day?
What was the main differences?
(01:14:40):
did you feel smoother?
do you feel faster?
did you feel more aggressive?
like, give us a breakdown.
That's actually really good.
Yeah, and what was your crewtelling you?
like your mom, your dad Andyour friends, were they saying
the same thing?
Yeah, i love that.
(01:15:00):
That's the way to go.
Does that mean that your car ispretty fast?
Could you?
could you drive a faster if itwas faster?
Yes, wait this is like a trueracer right.
Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
Was there some other
girls out there on the track, or
was it really just you and acouple other ones?
Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
I Yeah do you like
racing against the girls or the
boys?
are both.
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
They're different
drivers, huh.
Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
Do you experience
that of?
I'm sorry, great, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
Against the East
Coast, against in the West Coast
the yeah oh, really like what'sthe difference?
Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
It's coastic, these
like five minute, but it was
already oh.
Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
That's true, because
it's a totally different form of
racing, right, was it?
does that mean that youadjusted your racing style to
different, to be different?
What was the difference?
like you just went out moreaggressive, or like, give us a
little bit of detail.
I.
Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
I Go out there a
little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
Yeah, and you have to
give the they call it
mechanical sympathy on the car.
Right, you'd like I went as afive minute race.
There's zero mechanicalsympathy, it's just go.
Did you feel?
kind of the same way, bella dothe most shorter races the less
time, the harder on the car.
What about when you're outthere racing against the guys
and the girls like, do younotice a big difference in the
(01:16:26):
way that?
Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
Yeah, I would say the
guys are a lot more aggressive,
But girls can get prettyaggressive too and it's just.
They're just different peopleand it's really cool to Get in
there with the boys and stufftoo.
Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
So if you were
talking to Gray, like if you
were spotting for her, whatwould you tell her?
like as as advice, like, oh,this boys coming up on you do
this, or this girls coming up onyou.
You kind of negotiate thepersonality of the driver.
Speaker 3 (01:16:50):
Yeah, I would mostly
say stay focused on who's ahead
of you and keep your cornerstied and make sure you're always
in the game.
Never lose your focus and withstuff like that.
So keep in mind.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
What does your
spotter usually tell you?
great?
Speaker 4 (01:17:05):
You know send.
Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
And keep it.
You know what my spotter usedto always have to tell me?
right, you would have to tellme to breathe, because I Would
get so anxious and so excited inthe car that if I didn't
breathe I would start likemaking mistakes.
So if I breathe and I calmedout, it makes me so much more
like nice and easy on thesteering wheel and like way
better.
Does anybody ever tell you thatIt's because you can get so
(01:17:30):
excited racing, because it's somuch fun, right?
Oh, hey, you know what I wasnoticing too.
Bella, did you get a new wrapon your car?
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
I did.
Speaker 1 (01:17:41):
Do you want me to
show people what it looks like?
because it looks pretty cool, pretty rad.
So I don't know if you, if youknow this about me, gray, but
I'm really into bright colors.
Look at that man.
That thing is pretty cool,right?
So what's your favorite partabout that new sticker kit?
What's your favorite part aboutthe new sticker kit?
Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
okay, It's like it
has the like kind of stripes on
it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
That's like it looks
like really.
Speaker 1 (01:18:16):
Yeah, totally.
And look what she did to thewheels, bella.
Yeah, you see that.
Yeah, pink in the front stuckout there.
Oh, so you could notice hermore than any other people, huh.
Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
So we're clean for
yeah.
No, it's like a littlehighlighter out there.
Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
Yes, That's perfect.
Do you know?
what's funny is people say teamsafety color sometimes, but
that's what I like to.
Yeah, i'm big into the brightcolors, right?
What was some of the funnest?
What'd you say?
Speaker 4 (01:18:44):
I'm pack a pinky
color, oh yeah what?
Speaker 1 (01:18:48):
do you sign autograph
with pink or yellow?
Perfect, look at her.
Yes, so, and if you get a pinkone, you're like special.
Oh yeah, pink is the best, so.
so what was one of your funnestpoints of the whole weekend,
right?
Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
The track the ultra,
for that was so fun.
Speaker 1 (01:19:11):
Did you guys get to
go on it?
What'd you guys take on thatcourse?
Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
So it kind of widely
like a little part of trees.
It's like whoops.
Then we like one thing grasscrazy.
Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Does that mean that
you want to ultra for?
Does that mean that you want toultra for?
Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
Yeah, she got bit.
No, I said for you glass.
Speaker 1 (01:19:40):
Do you want to drive
an ultra for?
So mom and dad are gonna haveto pony up for that one now Be
pretty expensive, right?
But yeah, so you got a goodrace.
That's really cool, andbattling with all your friends
must have been really fun.
It looked like the track hadlike a lot of traction.
I saw a couple of the picturesthat you guys sent over that we
(01:20:02):
posted online for you.
You were roosting totally, soyou must have been like slide
through the corners giving afull throttle It.
Do you remember your days givena full throttle and a little
one?
Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
seven days.
What do you see her?
Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
Does it bring back
memories?
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Yeah, it really does.
Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
That's kind of cool,
right?
Yeah, and I knew, did you seeyour take off her helmet or
anything?
because I've seen her take offher helmet after the races a few
times.
She's smiling from ear.
Speaker 3 (01:20:29):
Oh yeah, she's a big
ol grin.
Speaker 1 (01:20:32):
See there's that
grand is coming out.
Great, you must have had a lotof fun on the track.
But what was some of thefunnest things that you did off
the track, just with your family, not the lazy river like in the
pits?
Did you learn how to work onyour car?
You help mom and dad's grill onthe hamburgers, like what was
happening in the pits?
Really hang out with all yourfriends or with family.
(01:20:56):
Bella, did you get to hang outwith her at all?
Speaker 3 (01:21:03):
No, i didn't.
I said hi to you a couple times.
I saw you in the golf cart goback and talk about yeah it's
great that busy.
Yeah, she's pretty famous.
Speaker 1 (01:21:12):
That's what I was
gonna say, dude.
She's not like going on, yeah, since.
what's next on the schedule,gray?
Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
You have to go to a
Gilbert race race how I ended it
and it go to For all youtoffers or for work.
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
Dang man, you got a
lot going on with racing.
No, you Are.
You gonna race the same carthere.
Just make some adjustments andgo out there and give a full
throttle.
That's gonna be pretty funright, all right.
Well, i want to say thank youfor you coming on the show,
thank you to your parents forhelping set this all up, and you
did a great job this weekend,so I want to see you keep
(01:21:52):
improving every single time youget out of the track.
All right, bella, what do youguys say to her when just
wishing you luck for all yourupcoming races.
Speaker 3 (01:22:00):
I hope everything
goes good and I'm really excited
to see you, girl, in thisindustry.
It's really cool.
Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
Yeah, girl All right,
yes, all right, we'll see you
later.
Great, have a good time.
We're gonna get Josie Watkinson and chase car.
Thank you very much, gray.
All right, so let's get thechase car and Josie Watkins on.
You guys can join.
Request to join anytime.
Man, like I know she's a littlebit shy.
(01:22:26):
She might have been a littlebit nervous, but it makes me
feel so happy to see the kidsnot only wanting to participate
in racing, but to be able to putthemselves out there like this.
Right, because it's prettynerve-wracking.
Right, like when you're in arace car.
You're in your zone, you're inyour own little space here in
your own helmet.
You get to do your own thing, you get to focus on what you got
going on.
You have people around yousupporting you when you have to
(01:22:48):
do media stuff, i mean, like itgets pretty crazy sometimes,
yeah, and I think it's fantasticthat she offered to come on the
show and she's doing such agreat job at both.
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
Yeah it's pretty cool
.
Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
All right, so let's
see if we can get Josie Watkins
on, and then we'll see if chasecar can join us as well.
So give me a little bit ofbackground on.
Hi, josie, how are you Good, how are you Doing awesome.
I like your glasses too.
Do you have to wear those tohelp your vision, or do you just
wear those because they're cool?
Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
So the restriction on
my drive it license in the
state of Missouri.
So I have to put glassesfull-time and then when I race I
wear contacts.
Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Oh wow, no way,
really.
That's the same with me.
I don't have any restrictionsin Missouri, though, thankfully,
so we're gonna get chase car onin a little bit here.
But give us a little bit of abackground.
Josie, how long are you inracing?
Speaker 4 (01:23:41):
I think that's been a
while, but 2019 I really picked
up and I won my first nationalchampionship cross-country
racing.
My coach is actually TravisWarner.
I think he's watching right now.
You get me and me and Travis ona racing again, or racing with
each other for 2019 to current, and I've won two national
championships 2019 and 2020.
And then 2021 was like my trialyear and short versus.
(01:24:06):
I never really ran up before.
And then 2022, i lost achampionship by a point and the
woman's in a class.
I was racing at mid-america andI lost.
Oh, i'm as doubt as it stated.
Speaker 1 (01:24:18):
That's gnarly.
Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
Yeah, I'm chasing
down three championships this
year.
Oh wow, Look at this girl'shead out do everything
Overachiever over here.
Speaker 1 (01:24:30):
That is pretty cool.
And then.
So I have a funny story that.
So Travis pointer and I wedrove pretty far To I forgot
where the race was, but anyways,we were sitting in a car for a
while because he picked me up atthe airport And we were talking
about a young girl and I thinkit was you see.
So yeah, and he said that youhad a lot of talent.
So it's cool to see and it'scool to finally talk with you on
(01:24:52):
the show.
So I'm glad that you were ableto line it up, bella.
So thank you.
So we're gonna get Chase Carron here in just a second.
I'm gonna have him come on.
So, josie, tell us a little bitabout your race at visions this
last week.
Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
Visions and actually
really good for me.
I was really happy We didn'thave the first one.
Oh, we just had the one raceand done, because I last race I
got him to a problem where Ibroke a bull joint and I just
got Pied-pied the day, and so Iwas really happy how we just had
the one race and I went out forthe woman's turbo class, gave
it Two laps, i got the lead andI held the whole lead for the
rest of the race and thenwoman's in a.
(01:25:27):
I had the lead and then amateurand I went in the fourth and
then Dude, that's a lot to takein right now.
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
That's crazy, right?
That's such a good weekend.
I welcome chase Carter the show.
What's up, chase?
All right, yeah, good man, howare?
Speaker 5 (01:25:41):
you.
Oh, pretty good Little sore, very same your Dana.
Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
Yeah, it's kind of
crazy, Ray.
And then Hunter Miller wasactually talking about being
sore too.
Was it because you guys werepushing the car so hard?
Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Yeah no, from all
that pit bike in.
Oh, is that what he's trying tosay Is?
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
that what really
happened, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:26:02):
But I add.
Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
Hey, put this off a
little bit closer, or maybe put
some headphones in, like yourairpods or something.
It's, the audio is gonnablogging out.
Yeah, give me one, it's likeokay, cool.
All right, josie, why he talksabout some of that stuff.
What was your favorite classthat you raced this past week?
Speaker 4 (01:26:24):
Woman's turbo.
I was like so proud of myselfI've been hunting down a win
since round two because I didn'tend up racing it round one And
I was hunting down a win and Ifinally got three man, like it
was just such an emotional race, like I came across the finish
line and I just start falling asa man.
I finally won this class.
Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
That's rad That.
No, i was right behind you inthe women's day cause I was like
dude This girl's pushing.
Speaker 1 (01:26:48):
Were you just going
crazy thinking about that,
because that's a lot ofanticipation.
sitting in the car, i Need it.
Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
It's just some
nerve-wrapping like I get in,
like I get re-emailing earth'sbar, go on the trap and then
Like I'll just sit there in thecar and just get like jitters
and everything I don't know.
It's just like every way forthe race, i just get jitters.
Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
Is it because you're
like thinking about too much for
yourself or you're likethinking about your competition,
like Bella over here?
Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
I'm gonna spit like
all the right line.
That's like my main thing.
When I have a perfect race, i'mecstatic.
I got to be back to the wall.
Speaker 1 (01:27:22):
Yeah, that's actually
a good point to bring up for
Chase too.
Like Chase, you're racing what?
what's it called now the NAexpert class?
Yeah, okay, yeah, that's whereit is.
I remembered now expert isright before pro or whatever.
Uh, so, yeah, so when you're inthat class, like you have to be
like exactly what Josie'ssaying.
You have to be on point withpretty much every single line,
(01:27:44):
like there's hardly any mistakesthat could be made.
Speaker 5 (01:27:47):
Yeah, it's.
Uh, it's very stacked now likepushing in America.
There's a god.
I think there was 20 pro in acars, so you have to be on your
toes.
Yeah, that is.
Speaker 1 (01:27:57):
Yeah, that is crazy.
Did you guys qualify?
Yeah, how'd you do inqualifying?
Speaker 5 (01:28:04):
I qualified P1 but
I'm gonna see race and There a
couple 360s that qualified good.
What happened in the heat race?
One story short I forgot to putin or will drive, so I'm lying.
So we made it into what thatwas.
I'm gonna say it's a game move,dude.
Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
Yeah, i, you know.
It's funny, though is I've donethat before too, like, and not
just like once, like maybe 69,it's like.
It's been pretty bad, like whenI first started racing side by
side.
But I tell you this I wish thateverybody had to drive in two
wheel drive because it's so muchfun.
No, it is not.
I love it, dude.
(01:28:46):
I wanted to, i wanted it allthe time.
But Uh, josie, and you'reforgot to put into four-wheel
drive.
Speaker 4 (01:28:54):
I've actually had a
front disc go out in the middle
of a race, so Did you do prettygood or did you spin out like
chase?
Speaker 1 (01:29:06):
There you go, see it
is.
So it is kind of harder.
Driver to look, right I think,to a driver makes it harder so
that you have to like drive yourcar completely different.
Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
Especially on the
track.
Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
Yeah, and that track
did look slick, right like.
It looked like it was just likeice racing, like sometimes it
could be soaking wet, but ifthey like till it like motto,
it's like it's good.
But it did look pretty slick.
So During the race, did youstart out front or did you have
to work your way through thepack?
Give us a little bit of abreakdown chase.
Speaker 5 (01:29:33):
Yeah, so I called And
then I went into the heat race,
starting P1.
I think my first lap is when Idid my first 360.
I almost snatched the port ofbody, but I don't know how I
saved it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:46):
How is that possible?
You were that far close to thetrack, to the center of the
track.
Speaker 5 (01:29:53):
On the inside there
was like a.
I don't know why there was aport of body there, but I like
spun out going off the jump andI did 360 around it.
How do I know?
it's not good?
Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
Where you just
looking at the port of body
going.
Oh Jesus.
Speaker 5 (01:30:09):
I That was on the
radio saying if I hit anything
gonna get me out of the car.
Speaker 1 (01:30:19):
Josie, could you
imagine?
Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
My parents used to do
that fairly, make this microns
and a trash company back when weused to have port of cars, and
so I know all about that.
Speaker 1 (01:30:28):
That's why Josie is
so fast.
They're lining up trash can, trash pots all over the place.
She has the body.
Oh, that's like her practice, dude, that's hilarious man, was
it well?
so what happened next?
Speaker 5 (01:30:40):
chase.
I got helping more in 360s andthen I think on the lap before
the midway I spun out in likethe back section after the
rhythm section.
I got smacked by a couplepeople and cleaning crews and
then I think someone him who isthere, and it popped This higher
I can be, which sucks, but uh,that's a lot of carnage for your
(01:31:02):
guys.
Pits, she's the full back.
Oh, i'll have to say she's out.
You were done making donuts.
I Had them that.
I was dying to my midway.
Speaker 1 (01:31:12):
That's hilarious.
Who's your favorite dirt bikeriders?
me, yeah, jet.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
Lawrence Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
Well, i was just
gonna say jet Lawrence, because
they both have donuts in common.
That's pretty cool, though Hey,did you get to watch any of the
girl racing, like with Bella?
Speaker 5 (01:31:34):
and Josie.
Yeah, I went down.
Bella did a lesson.
Speaker 1 (01:31:39):
Yeah, so it's kind of
cool to see the girls battling
it out, right, alright.
So Now that we're talking aboutlike battling and the race
racing and all that stuff, giveus a little bit of a breakdown,
josie, on what happened when youget and Bella were out on
course together.
Speaker 4 (01:31:51):
I Basically pulled
the whole shot off the start and
I just held it and a girl triedto pass me for a second And she
caught the tire going into theS turns and she right, oh, i was
that was nuts.
You saw, it.
Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
Yeah, I was right in
front of me.
Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
What happened?
like She just never let up.
Speaker 3 (01:32:13):
No, she and Josie had
the line and it kind of just
fumbled in and then she ended uphitting the tire right by the
corner and Explosion from thereWe really got like right on me.
Speaker 4 (01:32:25):
I was like yeah, gosh
.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Did you see that
chase, that axler?
Speaker 5 (01:32:31):
No, I did not do this
sounds gnarly.
Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Women get rowdy out
there.
Speaker 5 (01:32:37):
They were nearly, you
know, youth class, i think it
was.
He like flipped over Like aspring car crash like I Dude.
Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
That's crazy.
Well, you guys are giving itthe beans, obviously.
What was next after that, josie?
Speaker 4 (01:32:56):
I just obviously had
it after.
It's hard to finish and I likeheck, yeah, i just they did
again.
Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
No, she was pushing,
taking good lines.
You definitely pushed me as adriver, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:33:06):
So we were talking
about being in the zone and I
want to ask Chase the samequestion.
But like, could you tell therewas a big difference between
when you first got out on track, like during the first portion,
now the week, compared to thelast lap.
So you were making out thetrack, like in your speed, your
comfortability, all that.
But let's say Josie answerfirst.
Jason, that hold you guys, it'sall good.
Speaker 4 (01:33:27):
I read aims and lines
of my cars and Travis will.
The data all got on his deviceand I was only like 20 or 30
percent.
They're all like.
I was like I and I really needto pick it up and then, towards
like the end of the weekend andstuff, i really, really picked
it up.
Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
Yeah, that's actually
super cool at Travis will
probably give you the data andtell you exactly how you did.
But when you're like 20 or 30percent throttle or whatever you
just said 30, 40 That meansthat you're negotiating throttle
properly on the track, right, because it's not necessarily how
much throttle you give it, it'show smooth and how much
momentum and rolling speed thatyou keep on the track through
(01:34:05):
the corners and through thestraightaways.
So, depending on how the grippythe track is or out grippy in
this case, yeah, there you go,100 percent throttle less than
30 percent of the time.
So you were really reallynegotiating the track conditions
.
Speaker 4 (01:34:19):
It sounds like Yeah,
i mean the two practice lock
crack is alive and out.
It was like kind of like muddya little bit So I was like
trying to pick out the lines andeverything, but definitely
coming in.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
So the woman's sober
is like I really You, could you
tell a little bit of that?
no?
Speaker 3 (01:34:35):
definitely really
there was some gnarly
progression there.
Speaker 1 (01:34:38):
You were you like,
were you trying to follow that
level of progression though?
Yeah, yes, because it wasprobably elevating both your
guys game.
Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
Yes, yeah, definitely
chase it.
Speaker 1 (01:34:47):
That's cool.
And then so chase the same kindof question to you.
Do you probably had that samelevel of growth, or whatever
speed?
Speaker 5 (01:34:53):
throughout the week.
Yeah, so in the broke last youknow, be like on your toes,
thanks.
Especially, coming into yourtrack, you're trying to figure
out the best setup and how youcan go faster.
So throughout the week we'realways making setup adjustments,
clutching and chalk tuning andtires and all over the place
trying to make Yes, fast, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:35:15):
And you probably
notice a lot too, especially
like because the level ofcompetition in your guys's class
is very difficult, like thegirls is.
Now You're fighting formilliseconds.
Now, like you said, my siderace didn't used to be like that
.
It's pretty sick.
Speaker 5 (01:35:29):
Yeah, I think in
college playing I had 1389 and
then second place was like 1391or 139 plus Yeah so like two
tenths or something.
Speaker 1 (01:35:40):
That's crazy, dude.
But that is cool, man.
It keeps you on your toes, that's for sure, because you
can't make a mistake.
Yeah, we'll give us a littlebit of a rundown of, like how
the the motors went for you, chase.
Speaker 5 (01:35:54):
Yeah, so fighting is
pretty good.
I had my basses out and I can'tand qualified P1.
I went to the key, had my stylepoints and I saw, but I called
on a little bit and broughtmyself back up to first at the
end of that and Then and themain event I can't remember- Oh,
(01:36:15):
that good you ran that.
Speaker 1 (01:36:16):
He would see when I
talk about the zone.
Yeah, like you just focusedIt's.
It's like I've packed out.
Speaker 5 (01:36:21):
I was just doing so
good I Awesome battle, i think I
.
Well, i grabbed the whole shot.
We were doing rolling start.
So I thought I And Tina cameout of nowhere at Elm back.
Oh, so we bowed out the rest ofthe lap.
I think someone said weswitched track.
Speaker 1 (01:36:39):
Yeah, it was.
Oh wait, really, he's one ofthe kids that I want to get on
the dirt live show, so if youguys know him, like the, link
them up with me you're totallygonna want right now.
I will.
He's more than happy to join ifyou, or we are more than happy
to have him join if he wants tocome on.
But yeah, man, dude, like thosebattles are, like that's some
of the best memories that you'llever have, like, cuz those are
(01:37:01):
such fun races.
Speaker 5 (01:37:03):
Yeah, even, oh yeah,
in the char and I was watching.
Even though I technicallydidn't have to run, i still
wanted to battle out cuz man, iwould have won all but and.
Speaker 1 (01:37:15):
Well, josh just said
man, the last pass, last lap
pass on Sean Hess was crazy.
What was that all about?
Speaker 5 (01:37:21):
Yeah, I Knew my
smaller as an episode on the
last laps and the key rates havemy style points.
So when I was coming back up todo the pack I saw where he was
kind of a little wide in oneturn.
So the last lap by a whenoutside in on him and Was it
hard to do or did you just like?
Speaker 1 (01:37:40):
because that means
that you had set it up like
Corners and corners in advance,right?
Speaker 5 (01:37:45):
Yeah, i was watching
his line as lap and core but I
was a little far back So I can'treally make it stick there.
But like came back clear, hekind of like swath a little bit
off the jump.
So when we landed, anything Ihad to do right there, or else
is I'm gonna go.
Speaker 1 (01:37:58):
That's crazy.
Like, honestly, when I hearChase talk like this, it makes
me so happy because I can he seehis photo brain working like in
his off-road car.
It's kind of crazy.
I can't request to join so youcan jump on.
But Uh, yes, the Josie, likewhen you hear like chase talking
, how do you feel like you pay alot of attention to the way
that he operates, like when he'sout there racing so that you
(01:38:21):
can Be better, or like how doyou use it to your advantage so
you can be a better driver?
Speaker 4 (01:38:25):
So I watch a lot of
the pro turbo classes.
So me and Travis always sittogether and we watch like Kyle
Chaney and stuff and we alwaystalk about look at the lines
Kyle's like he's look at themomentum He's carrying into the
corner of like.
It really helps watching thepro guys because me and Travis
sit there and like analyze itall races.
Speaker 1 (01:38:43):
Yeah, that does help
a lot, bella.
You and I were just talkingabout that, about, like, how you
can visually see and take thosevisual cues from Yeah, the pro
drivers right?
What are some things, josie, that you learned when you were
watching them?
Speaker 4 (01:38:57):
I'm gonna like clean
up my lines better and how to
take my corners better, and meand Travis are talking like on
the corners That I had aholland's with like I could sit
there and watch Kyle.
Kyle would do them literallyperfectly.
Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
Yeah, that's kind of
crazy.
Katie, what's up, dude?
How are you there's going?
dude, we're just hearing thatyou and Chase were battling in
that last race Never a lot offun.
How was it for you, though?
because we were just askingChase like, and he's like dude,
it's so fun.
Speaker 5 (01:39:26):
Yeah, i've been hams
the whole year, so I've been
trying to keep my face.
I probably did it.
It's lost race and Chasedefinitely made it for me.
Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
Yeah, but that makes
you guys both girls drivers,
doesn't it?
Speaker 5 (01:39:40):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:39:41):
Yeah, so it's the
same thing kind of happened with
Josie too right, like you'retrying to give her as much
trouble as possible, she'strying to get out there and win.
and then obviously in the turboclass She had a lot of
competition too, right, josie?
Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
Yeah, it's really
weird running my little RS1
against the big X3's and stuff.
I was like man Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:40:01):
This whole time I
thought she was talking.
She had a turbo car.
Speaker 4 (01:40:03):
No, I had to look
twice.
One's that.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Okay, so you have one
that's like a mod car and one
of the stock car kind of thing,or what.
Speaker 4 (01:40:12):
They're both
basically identical.
I just have a backup car.
If you go to my Instagram, ihave some pretty rad pictures of
some of my rec I had, so it'sreally nice to have a backup car
.
Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
Well, so, and we're
watching her.
We're talking on Instagramright now, but please say your
whole Instagram name so thatpeople on iTunes can go check
you out.
Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
Audible Instagram
name is Josie Watkins, jos EY.
Speaker 1 (01:40:38):
Yeah, that's perfect.
So go check it out and look ather glasses.
To common, her glasses does.
They're all I said, kana, whatwas the funnest battling that
you had all weekend?
Was it that race of Chase?
Speaker 5 (01:40:47):
Oh yeah, i was
definitely a shake.
I think, like you said, we'reback up for better and time
already, dude, that's so wild.
Speaker 3 (01:40:54):
Did you watch it?
I see you up the whole time.
You watch my hands on my head, really the entire time.
Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
It was like the edge
of your seat.
Yes, what do they say?
give me the whole seat, but Ionly need the edge.
When you're watching Chase.
Speaker 3 (01:41:06):
I was like canons in
front.
Oh no, it's face.
Oh no, it's canons here.
Speaker 1 (01:41:10):
Do they have areas
that you can't see and all of a
sudden one of the dudes wouldcome out?
That's good, that's wild way.
What tires were you guysrunning Like the short, the
short course, kind of tires.
Speaker 5 (01:41:23):
I.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
Couldn't hear you
chase.
Okay, so they had a little bitof grip.
Man, what was the some of thefunnest parts of the track then?
cuz like we were talking withHunter and Cody Miller And it
seems like the track is kind ofI don't know coming into its own
, like there's gonna be newlines that develop.
But what was the track likethat you guys had, or what was
(01:41:48):
the funnest part of the trackthis past week?
Speaker 5 (01:41:53):
I definitely have.
But my best parts in the trackAnd the finish line jump first S
term.
That's where I'd catch chasethe whole time and chase just
Pacing me like creeps S turnheads.
That's what me is such a good.
Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
Oh, I see what you're
saying.
So you guys had different areasof the track.
Was that because your cars werebetter or because you guys were
better in those areas?
Speaker 5 (01:42:17):
my notes.
Pace was just better.
I'm There, you We have, we havetwo different styles and you're
yeah and uh, motive.
Speaker 1 (01:42:28):
Yeah, well, that's
actually a good thing to talk
about, right like I'm gonna askthis two ways, i'm gonna chase.
What's the difference in yourdriving styles?
that, josie?
I want you to tell me what yousaw from the outside watching
the race, so chase you go first.
Speaker 5 (01:42:43):
Um, i mean, kenan
started with that super wide bar
So he always slides it aroundand I'm more of like a not lost
slide and around for fun, butit's not always faster.
So I kind of drive mine like ago-kart and that's where I kind
of build them in the in the Sturns, but Yeah, Well, when?
Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
so when I hear that,
like the first thing cause I
didn't watch and Josie's goingto tell us what it looked like
from the outside if she watchedthe race.
But so when I hear that I thinkwhat Chase is doing inside the
car is managing with two feet,Yes, so he's pedaling the car
and he's using less input on thesteering wheel.
But when he says the canin isdriving, i don't want to say
like a wild man, but basicallysliding it all over the place,
(01:43:24):
right Like that, means thatyou're using your right foot a
lot more and you're giving a lotmore steering input.
So what did you notice, josie, when you were watching the race?
Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
And I know all this
like chase with tight-knit
corners and canin would go likea little wide in them, like they
always like put 12 back andforth how they did corners And I
found that like reallyinteresting.
They were right by like on that, but I were doing like two
completely different things ateach corner.
Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
That's so cool to see
though, right, bella?
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
Yeah, Both equally as
fast.
but you guys just have adifferent talent.
Speaker 1 (01:43:54):
Yeah, there you go.
Travis Pudder said let Dukestyle Yeah, it's just hammered
down, the right foot is justlike a brick on the gas Canin.
When you go through like a,photos like that or races like
that, does that tell you goodways to improve your
professional drivingcapabilities?
Speaker 5 (01:44:11):
Oh, yeah, this is how
we do it.
Been watching Chase how he'sdoing it for tracks is very much
, though I think I'm actuallybeing invited to a car thing.
They started making their car.
Speaker 1 (01:44:22):
Look see, it's
rubbing off on everybody right.
And then you know, Chase, thatthey're gonna have an outdoor go
car track in Minnessey now,right.
Speaker 5 (01:44:30):
Yeah, i stole that.
I knew the K1 speed one Didwe're going.
Yeah, i still have my car inthe garage.
Speaker 1 (01:44:38):
Dude, there you go.
So we're gonna get a whole crewtogether and go out there.
We all got a dice on the trackSo I can see some of the stuff
that Canin's talking about.
Like, i'll see your lines andstuff and see if I can just go
Kyle with Duke on you.
I think it'd be pretty fun.
All right, so let's go through.
The guys at Cointower Sportshave been kind enough to let us
stay here for a long time, butwe're gonna have to wind this
(01:44:58):
down.
So each one of you guys pleasetell me your favorite part of
the weekend, whether it wasracing or hanging out, and then
you guys can thank your sponsorsand then we're gonna get out of
here.
So, josie, why don't you gofirst, and then Chase, and then
Canin?
Speaker 4 (01:45:11):
I really just like
hanging out with that Quellen
Truett and all of them and thenhanging out with Travis and his
wife and his kids and everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:45:18):
Yeah, that is good
right, The off-road community is
one of the best.
How about you Chase?
Speaker 5 (01:45:24):
That clean riding pit
bike started.
We ended up on the old trackone night.
it's not very fun pit bikes, but it's fun to drive.
Yeah, definitely hanging outwith friends And obviously
racing.
Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
Yeah, it is pretty
cool, right, and those are the
memories that you'll neverforget, right.
