In this episode, we're talking about an important topic: mental health. Our guest is Amanda Phillips. We’re all aware that there’s a stigma when it comes to mental illnesses and Amanda works tirelessly to educate people on this topic. Through her coaching, blogs and speaking engagements, Amanda’s mission is to raise awareness and get people talking. After the death of a college friend, Amanda, a super-high achiever, went into a downward spiral which lead to severe depression and suicidal thoughts. During her journey back to health she encountered prejudice towards her mental illness from the very people she expected to support her. After experiencing the stigma of mental illness first-hand, Amanda changed her professional focus and now dedicates her life to helping the many people who suffer in silence. Totally unplanned, and in true Divine Breadcrumb fashion, we realized as we were recording that it was World Suicide Prevention Day. For anyone struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts, or you know someone who is, we invite you to listen and learn. You are not alone!  Connect with Amanda helloamandaphillips.com https://www.instagram.com/helloamandaphillips/ (https://www.instagram.com/helloamandaphillips/) https://www.facebook.com/helloamandaphillips/ (https://www.facebook.com/helloamandaphillips/) Connect with Carol and Deb https://thedivinebreadcrumb.com (https://thedivinebreadcrumb.com) https://www.instagram.com/thedivinebreadcrumb/ (https://www.instagram.com/thedivinebreadcrumb/) https://www.facebook.com/thedivinebreadcrumb (https://www.facebook.com/thedivinebreadcrumb) https://twitter.com/tdbreadcrumb (https://twitter.com/tdbreadcrumb) Support this podcast
