...This week on The Divorced Dad Diaries, I will talk about the grief during divorce.
A person going through a divorce will go through a grieving process resembling the five stages of grieving death (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance). Those 5 stages are often defined as a sequence of steps that one must get through in order to heal from a divorce.
The next 5 episodes will be dedicated and focus on every stage.
...This week on The Divorced Dad Diaries, I discussed Divorce and Gaslighting. A word that has been used and re-used in all situations, and for many different reasons. But what does it mean... I mean, what does it really mean? And why is it so overused these days?

It been a while since my last episode, but I haven't forgotten about you all! Summer vacations, moving and work all kept me especially busy :)
That said, this week, on The Divorced Dad Diaries, I am talking about money once again. And how you might want this that at the end it's all about the number, and how much you get from your spouse, while you should think about the impact of trying to "take it all".
Divorce is hard. For us, but also for our kids. We all love our children. We want to see them as much as we can, and we want them enjoy the time they spend with us.
Have we ever stopped and think though, do they enjoy coming over, spending time with us, or are they doing it just out of guilt?

In this week's episode, we start with a famous quote from our friend Benjamin Franklin mentioning the two certainties in life... Death and Taxes!
I'll try to stay positive and keep the topic of death for another time, but since it is tax season, I thought I'd stop and reflect on divorce and various decisions you might make which, at the end, may have huge tax implications.
