The last few weeks, the world has shifted and we have entered a new season. Evil and violence seems to be more prevalent, but so is God’s Spirit as he moves among the people. I’m calling God’s people to recognize themselves as the warrior we are called to be. Time to armor up and stand your ground in prayer.

Speaker 00 (00:11):
Hello, hello.
Welcome to the Dona WatsonShow.
I'm your host, Dona Watson.
Hello, everyone.
In the last few weeks, thingshave shifted.
I don't know if you have feltit, but things have shifted
spiritually, and we have entereda new season.

(00:34):
And this new season is markedby a couple of things.
Not only has evil been moreprevalent the last couple of
years, but, oh my goodness,God's spirit is moving.
He's moving among his sons anddaughters.

(00:57):
And this video today is a callfor God's people to recognize
themselves as the warriors thatthey are called to be.
When I asked God what I shouldbring for today's devotional, he

(01:20):
whispered that it's time tostart talking about this.
It's time to start talkingabout why his sons and daughters
need to start seeing themselvesas the strong warriors that he
has called them to be.
And this isn't a role just forpastors or teachers or leaders

(01:43):
to fill.
It's part of following Christ,Christ our King, the ultimate
warrior.
God has called us to use thepower and authority that He has

(02:05):
given us to stand firm againstthe attacks of the enemy.
Not only was God impressing onmy heart that this was going to
be the topic for today's video, but imagine my surprise when I
went to church yesterday morningonly to see Pastor Eddie from

(02:26):
Life Church in Cookville,Tennessee, was speaking about
the very same subject on Sundaymorning, along the same lines.
So I have Pastor Eddie to thankfor a few of my talking points
and scriptures that I borrowedfor today's video.

(02:46):
But the Lord had already putthis on my heart, and to me, it
was a confirmation that thismessage is going out, and I am
not the only one making thiscall.
So let's jump right in.
First thing I want to talkabout is how we have indeed
entered a new era.

(03:06):
The world has shifted, and weare in a new season.
Evil and violence do seem to bemore prevalent, but so is God's
spirit as he is moving amonghis sons and daughters.
And this call for God's peopleis to wake up, to armor up, and

(03:32):
it's time to raise up and tostand strong.
Why?
Because we are in a spiritualwar.
One that maybe the world hasnever seen before.
The days are getting short.
We're getting closer to thesecond coming of Jesus Christ.

(03:54):
And things are moving.
Things are moving in the spiritworld.
The enemy's angry.
He's persecuted Jesus Christ'sfollowers and trying to silence
voices like Charlie Kirk's.
But the opposite of what hewanted has happened.

(04:14):
In trying to silence voices, the word has only gone out more,
and God has used that to awakenthe remnant of the church for
the end times.
I truly believe that.

And so my question to you is: have you heard the call of God? (04:30):
undefined
Have you felt an extra tuggingfrom the spirit to pay more
attention to the things of God?
Have you responded withincreased time in prayer?
And if you have, welcome to thefront lines.

(04:51):
Welcome to the front lines,warrior.
A great awakening is here, andI don't want any of God's sons
and daughters to be left behind.
I want to impress on you thatGod has put you where you are in
this world right now.
He wanted you to be alive rightnow, just like Esther, for such

(05:17):
a time as this.
Yeah, these are tough days.
They really are.
A lot of people are scared, andthat's the design of the enemy.
He's trying to make everybodyafraid because fear holds people
back.
They won't step into their fulldestiny if they're afraid.
But God, God knew that youwould have what it takes to

(05:43):
handle these difficult times.
He knew that you had potential.
And it might not feel like itto you right now, but God placed
you here because He knew thatyou had the potential to be an
effective warrior for him inthis very special day and age.

(06:04):
It's an amazing time to bealive.
And he wanted you to be a partof it.
You're stronger than you think.
So, what do we need to do?
The first thing we need to dois listen to the voice of the
Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 2:1 says, "For thisreason, we must pay attention

(06:30):
all the more to what we haveheard so that we will not drift
away." Friends, we need tolisten really carefully to the
truth that we have heard, or wewill drift away.
It's forgetting your firstlove, it's forgetting things,

(06:56):
and it just gradually takesover, and you drift away.
If we do not pay attention toour spiritual health and our
relationship with God, that willhappen.
And this verse in Hebrews says, pay attention all the more to
what we've heard.
And when we pay attention andwe act on what God has told us,

(07:17):
we will not drift away.
1 Timothy 4, verses 1 and 2says, "Now the Spirit explicitly
says that in latter times somewill depart from the faith,
paying attention to deceitfulspirits and the teachings of
demons through the hypocrisy ofliars whose consciences are

(07:39):
seared." We don't have to lookvery far in our culture, in our
world today, to see demonicteachings all around us.
Anything that is contrary tothe word of God is going to be a
demonic teaching.
It's going to originate fromthe heart of the enemy.

(08:01):
Anything that originates fromthe heart of the enemy is going
to be there to draw you awayfrom God.
The enemy has worked overtimefor centuries to corrupt those
who follow God.
And those efforts have onlyincreased as we've gotten closer

(08:24):
to the second coming of JesusChrist.
He knows his time is short.
He's working over time.
We need to work over time too.
Some translations of thisscripture in 1 Timothy 4 read
that some people will give heedto seducing spirits and get

(08:46):
drawn away.
He knows your hot buttons.
He knows what will seduce youto get your eyes off of God.
And he'll throw everything hecan at you to keep you from
stepping into your destiny as aspiritual warrior.

(09:10):
Yeah.
Don't let this be you.
Don't be seduced away.
Spend time in Bible study.
Spend time talking to God inprayer so that you can have that

(09:31):
strong foundation that you needto not be swayed by the enemy.
And then once you have thatstrong foundation, you can take
that authority over the enemy.
Luke 10, verses 18 to 20, Jesussaid, "I watched Satan fall

(09:55):
from heaven like lightning.
Look, I've given you theauthority to trample on snakes
and scorpions and over all thepower of the enemy.
Nothing at all will harm you.
However, don't rejoice that thespirits submit to you, but
rejoice that your names arewritten in heaven." The most

(10:19):
important thing is to makecertain that you're in good
standing with God, that you'veasked forgiveness for your sins
and that your name is written inheaven.
That's what Jesus says.
Rejoice that your names arewritten in heaven.
That's the most importantthing.
But once you're in goodstanding with God, or I should

(10:41):
say, and once you are in goodstanding with God, you gain the
ability to take authority overall the power of the enemy.
Those are Jesus' words.
And you can block the enemyfrom interfering with your life
and the lives of your family andyour loved ones.

(11:03):
That is the authority that youhave as a follower of Jesus
Christ.
We have the authority totrample the enemy.
That's so cool.
Satan and his demons have toyield to the authority that we

(11:25):
wield in prayer because JesusChrist, through the sacrifice on
the cross, went and claimedthat authority from the enemy,
and he's given it to us.
Just wrap your mind around thatfor a minute.
God is calling you to be hiswarrior, to take the authority

(11:49):
that Jesus has given us to bindthe enemy and his efforts to
wreak havoc in your life, tocause chaos, or to deceive you,
your family, or your loved ones.
That's how we fight.
That's how we fight thisspiritual battle.

(12:12):
The third thing that we can dois remind God of His word.
The Bible is filled with somany promises that God has given
us to stand on.
These are promises that He willbe with us, that He will
protect us, that He will give usstrength and courage.

(12:35):
There's so many other promisesin the Bible, too, of things
that we can stand on.
And it's up to us to remindGod, "Lord, you promised."

(13:09):
Sometimes our prayers need tobecome military campaigns where
we present our request to Godand then we remind him of his
word until we see the promise.
What we see here on earth is avisible manifestation of what
happens in the spiritual realms.

(13:31):
And if the delay is long incoming, there just might be a
protracted battle in theheavens, and God's angelic
warriors might need your prayersupport.
God has chosen to use enduranceand patience to strengthen us

(13:52):
in our walk with him.
And as we go through thesebattle strategies, it
strengthens our faith and thatdraws us closer to him.
It pleases him.
And he smiles and gives us hisfavor.
In the show notes, you willfind a link.

(14:28):
You can go and download a freebook of prayers that I've put
together.
It's 31 Scripture-based prayersfor spiritual warfare to help
you.
Just go find the link.
Otherwise, let's wrap this up.
These are not normal times, myfriends.

(14:49):
Darkness has been making itselfseen, and the enemy is
preparing to reveal his finalbattle plans in his war against
God.
It's not time to be afraid.
It's time for us to say, hallelujah, Jesus Christ is
coming back.

(15:10):
So praise God.
We have also seen an increasein godly victories, haven't we?
Many, many people are hearingand feeling the tug of the Holy
Spirit, and they're drawingcloser to God.
They're seeking him out.
We have record numbers ofbaptisms.
We have huge viral worshipservices in public around the

(15:33):
world.
God truly is calling hispeople.
And we just need to open oureyes and see what he's doing to
see that his spirit is movingamong people.
And so this is your call.
It's time to go all in withJesus.
And he left us instructions.
In a conversation that he hadrecorded in Matthew, he was

(15:58):
talking with the teachers of thelaw.
And they asked him what was thegreatest commandment.

Matthew 22 (16:03):
37 to 39
with all your heart, with allyour soul, and with all your
mind.
This is the greatest and mostimportant commandment.

And the second is like it (16:20):
love your neighbor as yourself." But
Jesus also left us warnings.
In the last few, sorry, in thefirst few chapters of
Revelation, we see warnings tonot be lukewarm.
We see warnings to not forgetour first love for God.

(16:43):
We need to take great care, myfriends, to not allow our good
works to take the place ofspending time with God.
It's important to do goodworks.
It's important to love ourneighbor, to do things for other
people, but don't do thatinstead of spending time with

(17:05):
God.
Spending time with Him is themost important thing that you
can do.
That is where you get yourstrength.
That is where fear is banished.
That is where you gain courage.
And the enemy knows that.
And if he can distract you fromspending time alone with God,

(17:26):
it's much easier for him towhittle away at your courage.
So this is a special time inhistory.
It's time to press in.
Reawaken your first love forGod and love your neighbor.

(17:48):
We find in Ephesians 6, verses10 to 18.
Let's do a refresher, folks.
"Finally, be strengthened bythe Lord and by his vast
strength.
Put on the full armor of God sothat you can stand against the

(18:10):
schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not againstflesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against theauthorities, against the cosmic
powers of this darkness, againstevil, spiritual forces in the
heavens.
For this reason, take up thefull armor of God, so that you

(18:33):
may be able to resist in theevil day, and having prepared
everything to take your stand.
Stand therefore with truth likea belt around your waist,"
gotta have the truth,"righteousness like armor on
your chest," you gotta follow,be godly.

(18:54):
"Your feet sandaled withreadiness for the gospel of
peace." So you're ready to carrythe good news out into the
world.
"In every situation, take upthe shield of faith." We talked
about that already.
"The shield of faith with whichyou can extinguish all the

(19:14):
flaming arrows of the evil one."It is that strong faith that
will extinguish the enemy'sarrows.
And he really wishes you didn'thave it.

Verse 17 (19:27):
"take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the
spirit, which is the word ofGod." Protect your mind, and
your sword is offensive anddefensive.
Immerse yourself in the Word ofGod.
Know what it says so that youcan use it.

(19:49):
"Pray at all times in theSpirit with every prayer and
request, and stay alert with allperseverance and intercession
for the saints." Again, if youneed help with prayer, go get
the free e-book that I'moffering you guys.
It uses tons of scripture.
The prayers are themed.

(20:11):
You can do one a day for amonth, or you can just go
through the table of contentsand find the prayer that you
need for your particularsituation.
It'll give you scriptures tostand on, to remind God of, and
a place to do some battle.
But make sure your heart isright with God first.

(20:32):
It's a new season, church.
Time to armor up.
Let's do it.
I love you guys.
