In this episode I'm speaking with Dr. Pieter Van Heule. For almost 30 years, Dr. Pieter ran the integrated Holistic Health Care Clinic in Chicago, Illinois, where he played a pioneering role in development of what was a new approach at the time called Holistic Medicine. Dr. Pieter, if you didn't know, was the doctor whose practice I was blessed and honored to take over for him once he sold the practice to me and moved back to Belgium. As a holistic physician, Dr. Pieter integrated Human Physiology, Endocrinology, Biochemistry and neurology with disciplines from eastern medicine like traditional Chinese medicine or Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine with traditional Western and naturopathic approaches advanced and ideological techniques and epigenetics. He was born actually in the United States, which a lot of people do not realize and then moved. His parents were Belgian, so they were from Belgium but were in the United States when he was born. He was raised mostly in Belgium and then moved later on back to the United States and we'll get into some of his story in this podcast. But he is one of the most wild. Wildly successful and wildly humble practitioners I have ever met in my entire life. He is extremely present with all of his patients as he is during this podcast. He is a wealth of information, a plethora of facts, and he has taken hundreds of holistic seminars. He is a nonstop learner. As you can see he looks a little bit like Albert Einstein meets Jean Wilder version of Willy Wonka and he is one of the most pleasurable, friendly healers you will ever meet and get the pleasure of learning from. We are hoping to go back to Belgium within a few months to film some more lessons and teaching them seminars with Dr. Van Huele for all of you to learn from, from our membership and from a little bit shared on social media for free for you as well, and potentially another podcast in the future. He is a delight to learn from and you are really in for a treat. On what the true meaning of holistic medicine is because remember, sometimes learning how to think about holistic medicine or natural medicine is more important than what to do. So the philosophy that how to think about the human condition is more important than the diagnosis, more important than the treatment plan, because there are a million ways to heal one problem. But if you can't have the awareness or the philosophy or the and understanding of the medicine and how it integrates in order to understand the human being and the root causes of their problems, that it's nearly impossible to get better. Dr. Van Huele is the ultimate expert in finding the root causes of the mind, body and spiritual problems that we are all currently dealing with. And I'm very excited to introduce you to him if you do not already have the pleasure of knowing him or being treated by him. Hope you enjoy.
