Many men underestimate how much of a turnoff defensiveness is to women. Even if a woman wanted to have sex with you that evening, an interaction where you are defensive will turn that incipient desire into a cold icy front. Defensiveness is a form of dishonesty, and dishonesty triggers a feeling of lack of safety in women, children, and other men as well.
