The Duck Pond

Peter and Kyle return for the long awaited season 2 of the Duck Pond. Starting with early season drama with the Duckies. And The Sabres still suck. 

In this episode, Kyle O'Brien is back with his thoughts on the recent Sabres wins and why they play well only when all hope is lost. The Boys cover their predictions on when Ovi will break the scoring record and on Harald Ballard, one of the worst owners the league has ever seen. Finally the Rubber Duckies make their post-season debut in round 2 as they look to punch their ticket to the C2 division finals. 

This week the Duck Pond is trying out a few new things to see how they go. But Seamus and Peter still take a look at the NHL trade deadline. The guys also look around the NCAA and some new skills coaching on a new segment. Seamus also drops some big news. 

The Duck Pond is back with Carolina Hurricanes and Metro division expert Benjamin Bondranko joining the show again. The Duckies look at the upcoming Buffalo Sabres vs Carolina Hurricanes game along the long playoff road ahead for Buffalo. There are some reactions from the 4Nations Faceoff and some speculations of what's coming for International Hockey in the next few years. 

Kyle Flynn, founder of the Rubber Duckies Hockey Club, joins the show this week as Hi and Peter look at the Four Nations Faceoff and the Rosters for the USA, Canada, Sweden, and Finland. The crew will be back for a mid-tourney evaluation and give their opinions in the tournament's first half. And Finally, Kyle will be back for the wrap-up show with our reactions to the Championship game.

The Duck Pond is back with a special episode. Our resident Carolina Hurricanes expert Benjamin Bondranko joins us as we discuss Buffalo Sabres vs Carolina Hurricanes, along with a look in on the Metro division.  Some trade news and drama from both the NHL and KHL. 

Seamus and Peter are back with a slightly different episode.  The guys rap up the World Juniors with the USA gold and look forward to next year's tournament. As always they cover the Sabres' issues but take a turn and look at Super Wild Card weekend in the NFL with the Bills take on the Broncos. As for the Rubber Duckies, they had a by-week and the boys do have the preview of next weeks game vs Flavor Town. 

Seamus is back this week as he and Peter look at the last week or so of NHL Hockey since the holiday break. The Sabres going on a small hot streak and College hockey ramping back up from the second half of the season. Duckies split the last two games but took a big win against one of their biggest rivals. 

In this episode, Kyle O'Brien fills in for Seamus as, Peter discusses the Sabres, now 12-game losing streak. The pair also cover the upcoming World Junior Championship with the USA and Canadian rosters and some funny stories and tidbits about international hockey. Rubber Duckies defenseman Ayden Hansen also joins the Pod as they talk about the recent Duckies loss and their upcoming game vs Only Fats. 

In this Episode, Seamus and Peter react to the Sabres' last 4 losses and Kevyn Adams' joke of a press conference.  College Hockey is starting to wind down for the holiday season, But the drama surrounding AIC's fall to DII continues—finally the best and worst of the Winter Classic jerseys. 

Seamus and Peter started on a high note from the Thanksgiving holiday, but it quickly turned downhill when the issue of Owen Power was brought up. They also cover the upcoming Sabres games and Finland and Sweden's projected 4 Nations Faceoff rosters. The pair also pre-views the next Rubber Duckies game.  This extra-long episode gets its first-hand reaction to Sabres vs Avalanche from December 2024. 

In this Episode, Seamus and Peter start with Jim Montgomery being hired as the St Louis Blues' next head coach. They cover the Sabres' west coast swing and get into a little international play with the projected lineup for the USA and Canadian Four Nations Faceoff teams. They also cover a few rule changes in the PWHL and SUNYAC match-ups from the past week. Finally a pre-view of the Rubber Duckies next game. 

We start the week with big news out of Boston with Jim Montgomery being fired. Following up with 2 big wins in 5 days for the Duckies, Seamus decides to switch to moonshine pre-game. Finally taking a look at Hockey East and AHA and the D1 schedule coming up for this week. 

Seamus and Peter's first steps into the podcasting world as they talk about events all around hockey. This will start with major moves in D1 hockey along with the CHL NCAA allowing junior players into college hockey and move on to shockwaves out of the OHL and NHL. Finally finishing it up with Men's league vs Beer league hockey and the Rubber Duckies' upcoming game preview.
