In Season 3, Episode 37 of The Eldritch Estate, we cover the Japanese cult known as Aum Shinrikyo. Founded in the late 80s by Shoko Asahara, this organization was one of the largest and most well-known cults of its time. In this episode we will discuss the leader's humble beginnings as Chizuo Matsumoto, before he changed his name to Shoko Asahara and came to lead one of the deadliest cults in Japan.
