Leonard Parker (00:00):
Hey there, I'm Leonard Parker, founder of

(00:02):
Destiny Marketing Solutions.
Most electricians I talk to havea shocking confession.
They're secretly addicted tohome advisor and Angie.
Don't worry, your secret's safewith me, but what if I told you
those lead platforms areactually working against your
success?

(00:23):
Stick around to the end whereI'll share an expert tip that
can instantly make your existingthird party leads more valuable.
If you're pulling in$200,000 ormore annually, but still feeling
like a hamster on a wheel, chasing your next shop.
This video is specifically foryou.
Hit that like button.
If you ever paid for a lead thatghost to you, and let's dive in.

(00:47):
Here's the code hard truth thatnobody's talking about.
When you rely on third partylead platforms, you don't
actually own your business.
You're basically rentingcustomers from Angie HomeAdvisor
or.tech.
Think about it.
You're paying these platforms toaccess leads day control.

(01:08):
Your brand mostly hidden.
Your value proposition filteryour client relationship
practically non-existent.
And what happens when theiralgorithm changes or they decide
to ban your account?
You're done overnight.
I've seen it happen toelectricians who are doing great
one day and scrambling the next.

(01:29):
It's like building your house onsomeone else's land.
Good luck with that mortgagewhen a landlord decides to sell.
Let's be honest about how theseplatforms actually work.
Year one of four or moreelectricians who get the same
exact lead at the exact sametime, first to respond, wins.

(01:49):
Second gets ghosted, and thethird just paid$45 for a bad
email.
It's like musical chairs, buteveryone pay for a seat and only
one person gets to sit down.
Most jobs goes to whoeveranswers first or quotes the
cheapest.
Now, who's the best?
These platforms don't care aboutquality work.
They care about speed and price.

(02:11):
They're designed to create arace to the bottom, not value
based selling.
The next time you're rushing tounderbid on a third party lead
while you're supposed to be atyour kid's soccer game, ask
yourself, is this really how Iwant to run my business?
Every wonder why so many ofthese leads are garbage.
Here's why many aren't even realpeople looking for electrical

(02:34):
services.
You get no answer.
Wrong numbers.
Tire kickers, just looking forballpark prices.
Homeowners getting bombarded byfive to 10, electricians, all
calling within minutes of eachother.
Think about that from theirperspective.
It's overwhelming.
Of course, they stop responding.
The worst part, you're payinggood money to chase people who

(02:56):
aren't even ready to buy.
There's no screening, noqualification, no targeting.
That's not a bug in a system.
It's a feature.
You're not paying for leads, you're paying for noise and
frustration.
The most expensive part ofacquiring customers is getting
them the first time.
But with rented leads, you don'tget the chance to build brand

(03:19):
recognition or client trustThese platforms.
Actively prevent you fromfollowing up, nurturing, or
retargeting customers becausethey own a relationship, not
you.
Even after you do a great job, you're invisible.
Once the work is done, noreferrals, no repeat business
with each new month, you'restarting from scratch.
It's like dating someone whokeeps forgetting who you are

(03:41):
every time you see them.
Frustrating and expensive.
And you're finding value in thisbreakdown, hit that subscribe
button.
I post new videos every weekwith strategies to help
electricians build sustainablebusinesses.
Now let's talk dollars andcents.
You're paying 20 to$80 per leadwith absolutely no promise of

(04:02):
exclusivity or intent to hire.
And when you do get a bat leaddisputing it is a bureaucratic
nightmare that costs you moretime than it's worth.
Ever notice how that pauseaccount button mysteriously
disappears as soon as your phonestops ringing.
Funny how that works, right?
The ROI is unpredictable atbest, negative.
At worse, you wouldn't pay youremployees to guess at electrical

(04:25):
work, so why do it with yourlead generation?
Now, I'm not saying all paidLegion is bad.
Google ads, for example, didsome things right that these
platforms get completely wrongwith Google ads.
Yes, you're still rentingattention, but you control the
targeting, the messaging, thebudget, and tracking you direct

(04:47):
traffic to your site, yourbrand, your offer.
You can use retargeting, segmentation and conversion
optimization to build long-termleverage.
Google doesn't care who wins thejob, but you do if you're going
to rent leads, at least do itfrom a platform you have more
control over, not one thatcontrols you.

(05:11):
So what's the alternative?
Building lead generation assetsthat you actually own your
website.
Your website, making sure thatit's optimized for the search
engines via SEO, your Googlebusiness profile.
These all create leads that youcontrol, and when we say
control, you have their contactinformation, you.

(05:32):
Own that relationship.
If they ever need to reach backout to you or if you ever need
to reach back out to them, maybeas a follow-up, you have some
contact information that you canuse for that follow-up.
Every lead builds your brandvisibility, not someone's else
algorithm.
The beauty of this approach isthat reviews content and local

(05:54):
engagement compound over time, while third party platforms are
a constant expense.
Own channels become morevaluable the longer you invest
in them.
You're building equity, not justcovering next month's bookings.
There's another benefit toowning your marketing that
nobody talks about.

(06:14):
It lets you charge what you'reworth.
Owning your lead gen means youcan charge premium rates.
Instead of competing solely onprice, you set the terms, the
schedule, and customerexpectations.
You are bidding against fourother guys in a panic to fill
your Tuesday.
Schedule the result.

(06:36):
Better clients, better margins,less burnout.
Third party platforms might keepyou busy, but owned marketing
makes you profitable.
There's a big difference here.
Now I don't expect you to quitcold Turkey.
That's not realistic.
Instead, use your current cashflow to build your own channels

(06:57):
in parallel.
Start shifting some budget toGoogle business profile
optimization, retargetingcampaigns and constant creation
on your website.
Build up your CRM, your emaillist, and your reputation
management engine.
Set a timeline for independence, then stick to it.
Maybe it's three months, maybeit's 12.

(07:20):
The point is to have a plan toescape the rental trap.
You don't need to quit coldTurkey, but you do need to start
building your exit today.
This is what we call the fullcircuit growth method.
It's a system designedspecifically for electricians to
replace third party dependents.

(07:41):
With marketing, you control fromfirst search to final invoice.
Rented leads are a short termfix that keep most electricians
stuck in survival mode.
Our method helps you build abusiness that grows even when
you're off the tools.
If you're tired of chasingleads, build a system where
leads chase you.

(08:03):
It's that simple.
So how do you get started?
With our full circuit growthaudit, we assess how dependent
you are on third party leadsources and identify gaps in
your own marketing assets.
We'll prioritize what to buildnext so you can reduce reliance
on rented platforms and evaluatewhere your ad dollars and

(08:24):
efforts should go instead.
You'll walk away with a plan tocontrol your lead flow on your
terms.
Remember, you can't scale abusiness on someone else's
platform.
It'll show you how to build yourown.
So here's my call to action.
It would've if what I've sharedresonates with you, book your
full circuit growth audit linksare in a description.

(08:47):
We're based in Houston, but weserve electricians nationwide.
And remember this.
Every lead you don't own is alead you'll pay for again and
again.
Now, before we, I wrap up thisvideo, I promise an expert tip,
and here it goes.
If you're still using thirdparty lead platforms like

(09:08):
angie.tech and so forth, atleast turn those jobs into ones
you own moving forward.
After the job, ask for reviewson your Google business profile.
Not the platforms.
Collect emails or phone numbersfor follow up and email
newsletters.
Offer a discount or refer abonus to re reengage them

(09:30):
directly and use a QR code onjob site materials that links to
your website if you're forced toleads.
At least keep the client afterthe first job.
That alone can cut yourmarketing costs in half over
time.
Drop a comment below with yourbiggest takeaway from this
video, and if you're ready tostop renting and start owning

(09:50):
your lead generation, click thatlink to schedule your audit.
I'll see you on the other side.
