The next installment of the Provider Pulse interview series where we elevate diverse voices from across healthcare fields to learn the paths people took to their current roles in healthcare.
On this episode, we speak with Catherine Evangelista, an administrative specialist in the Community Prevention Unit at Public Health – Seattle & King County. A graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Catherine reflects on her identity as a Filipino American and the cultural and familial expectations to succeed in specific fields. She shares the challenges of navigating her undergraduate years without clear mentorship, and how her career path emerged—not from a singular passion—but through resilience, incremental choices, and adapting to constraints along the way.
