The readings for this week for the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost are Amos 7:7-17 and Psalm 82, or Deuteronomy 30:9-14 and Psalm 25:1-10, with Colossians 1:1-14, and Luke 10:25-37. This week we look at blood. We talk about how the discovery of blood types and how to preserve blood for blood transfusions has been huge in human history along with the current progress on making a universal snake antivenom. The work that has gone into these is selfless work to make sure that we are showing compassion and mercy for future generations. If we lose sight of that, we lose sight of the mission that we have been called into. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
