The readings for this week for the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost are Isaiah 1:1, 10-20 and Psalm 50:1-8, 22-23, or Genesis 15:1-6 and Psalm 33:12-22, with Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16, and Luke 12:32-40. This week we look at being prepared. The Wright Brothers' didn't expect to be the people who would fly the first manned flight but through things throughout their lives and not be intimidated by the task at hand, they were able to be the first ones. With our faith, we need to put ourselves into positions where the gifts that God has given us, can be used and seen in the world around us.
