I stumbled across a YouTube channel created by Mark Laita (lay-ta) called "Soft White Underbelly," through which Mark tells the real, usually unheard and unknown stories of people who have been through hell. Mark says aims to help America understand what is wrong with our country and how to fix it. This particular video he produced caught my attention because I recognized the person he was interviewing, Russ Taff, a once-famous Gospel singer. I knew that Russ had a problem with drinking, but now I know why. Russ's story is moving, gripping, disturbing, and hopeful. Yet, after listening to the entire length of the interview, it did not have as much hope as it should. In breaking down parts of this interview today and over the next few episodes, I hope first to demonstrate how the Gospel, properly understood, and the power of deliverance through the name of Jesus, IS THE ANSWER Mark Laita and all concerned Americans are looking for. Secondly, many who watch this video or hear this podcast will resonate with Russ' story at different levels. I want to demonstrate to you how word curses, demons, and soul ties affect and influence the lives of people, Christians and non-Christians alike. By the end of these episodes, you will have a clear understanding of some of the ways satan has attacked your life. But much more importantly, you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free!
