God wants to make fathers great again by equipping men to be the best fathers, husbands, and men of God they can be. We explore how connecting to the Father's love for you directly impacts your effectiveness as a parent and leader in your home.

• The word "orphan" in scripture can also mean "fatherless" - even with parents present, we can feel spiritually fatherless
• Jesus promised, "I won't leave you as orphans" - He comes to us as the perfect representation of the Father
• God's love for you is eternal - there has never been a time when you weren't in His thoughts
• You were perfectly designed for your destiny - your gifts, ethnicity, and the time of your birth were all intentional
• The "dance of love" within the Trinity is the model for how God loves us
• Living from God's love rather than trying to earn it transforms your parenting
• God's discipline in our lives is always merciful - exposing brokenness so we can be healed
• When we understand God's gracious love toward us, we extend that same grace to others

How many want that?
Because I think what God's doingaround the world is that He
wants to make, guess what?
Father's great again.

(02:01):
And no matter how you voted onthis election, God the Father is
speaking from heaven because hewants to equip you, my friend,

(02:46):
or maybe moms that you know thatcan be connected.
So welcome, Susan Ivana.
I might be saying that wrong.
If from Alaska, we got somebodyfrom Alaska.
G Fell, welcome.
Looks like we got a designer inthe house.
A lot of my friends fromdifferent countries are logging

(03:07):
I am so grateful that you'rehere.
I am your host, Ed TameMcGlassen, and I am here in my
studio in Southern California, broadcasting to you.
I am so grateful you have.
And so, and welcome.
We're actually meeting at theMountain of God here.
If you've not seen, I'm also apainter, and that's one of the

(03:30):
things that the God's gifted meto do, to communicate.
And my mom was an artist, and soI get to meet here.
That's where I meet in themorning.
I get near God's mountain.
And man, I'm I've been prayingup a storm.
I don't know about you.
I'm praying up a storm for mywhole neighborhood, and I'm
praying up a storm for fathersaround the world because we are

(03:51):
gonna turn it around with theLord's help.
I think that's what God is doingaround the world.
So tonight I'm gonna we're gonnatalk about the father's heart
for you.
God's, when you think about howmuch God loves you, we all know
that God loves you, but we'regonna look in depth tonight
about the intensity of the loveof the Father towards you.

(04:13):
Some of you might kind of liveyour lives in such a way where
you think that God loves me whenI'm obedient.
Well, he loves you when you'reobedient, of course, just like
we love our kids when they'reobedient, but his love is beyond
that.
His love was uh he put his loveon the line when he sent his son

(04:34):
to the cross for you and I sothat we could freely receive
this gift of salvation, which isa gift, by the way.
Even the faith we've discoveredtogether to receive Christ is a
gift from God.
It's not our works, it's notabout being religious, it's
about in our ability to receive.
So if you want to be a betterdad, do this a lot.

(04:59):
And you all know this to betrue, and that's this.
If you're trying to love a girlwho lives in the estrogen river,
you've gotta have God.
And if you gotta raise your sonswho kind of remind you how
broken you've been in your life, who do dumb stuff, right?

(05:20):
And and you want to blame it onthe genetics of your wife.
Oh, I've had those fights whereI would look at my wife and go,
well, that's not coming from mygenetic pool.
That must be you.
Well, oh, welcome, Greg Fisher.
Great to have you.
Welcome, Paul, tonight.
And so we're gonna look at theintensity and the incredible

(05:44):
blessing of God's love for you.
And so I'm gonna start out witha verse that rocked me years ago
when I began to discover God'slove.
And why did I need it?
Well, my dad was skilled inaction.
If you don't know my story, hewas a test pilot in the Navy,
and I lost him just about amonth before I was born.

(06:07):
And so I didn't get to have aday with my dad, which should,
you know, most royally screw meup as a man.
But God, in his great mercy, forthis boy named Ed Tanny
McGlassen intervened in my life.
You're gonna hear a little bitabout that tonight, and he
shared opened my heart to theintensity of the love of the

(06:30):
Father for me, which healed someof the deepest places in me as a
man.
You know, those places that nomatter what you achieve, it's
it's not high enough.
You never arrive.
And those places where you're sobroken, you don't think that
there's any way that God can usea person like you or their any

(06:57):
hope.
I meet single dads all the time.
Welcome, Sharon.
And you know, and single momsand moms and dads who think
they're just too broken tohandle this situation with their
children.
Well, I got really good news foryou.
The the better you are atconnecting to the love of God

(07:18):
the Father for you, the moreimpact you're gonna have in the
life of your children.
And then one day, yourgrandchildren, which is
parenting 2.0, where you movefrom loving them and protecting

(07:38):
them and trying to keep themalive to perform and get a
scholarship and go to collegeand be a good citizen, to
parenting 2.0, which is grandpa, grandma, spoil them rotten, give
them the sugar they're notsupposed to eat, and send them
back to mom and dad.

(08:01):
This one of the great joys of mylife being with my grandkids.
I got 13 of them in number 14.
That person is on the way rightnow in Tennessee, in the in the
belly of one of my daughters inlove who's married to Luke.
So let's get into the intensityof God's love.

(08:22):
Here's the the first slide Iwant you to scripture, look at
this scripture.
Jesus makes a promise to over500 of his disciples that are
following him.
It wasn't just the 12, therewere many disciples who ended up
kind of you know followingChrist.
It's kind of like it reminds meof you know the Forrest Gump

(08:46):
movie.
Remember that money?
Wasn't that a funny movie?
And and all of a sudden thisguy's, you know, Forrest Gump's
just running, learning that heloved to run.
He's run around the country andhe's got this crowd following
him.
Well, it happened with Jesus, you know, more intently in that
he loved and ministered to andset them free and healed them

(09:08):
and taught them the word.
And they just grew.
And so he then looks at thecrowd at one point and says, I
won't leave you as orphans, I'llcome to you.
You know what's interestingabout that scripture is that,
you know, they weren't orphansin the traditional sense of no

(09:32):
mom, no dad, you know, thepictures we get of kids in
Africa or on the streets of uhLA or big cities who are
completely unfathered ormothered.
But the word orphan also istranslated in the New Testament,

(09:52):
fatherless, because you areconsidered an orphan in Jesus'
world if you don't have a fatherin your story to bless you and
to be there in your life tomodel who God the Father might
could be.
You know, they say that thefirst image to your children of

(10:13):
who God is is they look at theirdad.
Well, they already got mom, somom don't feel slighted in the
in the slightest.
As a matter of fact, the thebetter mom, because we got a
couple gas joints tonight, evenas a single boss that are here
with us, the better you receiveand learn how to be fathered by

(10:34):
God yourself, as one of God'sincredible women and mothers,
maybe your wife, maybe yoursingle mom, the quicker your
children will discover who Godtheir father really is, because
of the way you receive from himin the midst of the overwhelming
task of trying to be a singleparent that needs two.

(10:59):
Because you need a you need afather and a mother to really
impact a child in a great way.
And when a divorce has happened,or that dad has been taken away
tragically, or that dad runsaway as a single mom, you got
God the Father to help you.

(11:19):
Well, maybe you're a single dadraising sons and daughters
without having that mom around.
Well, something extraordinaryhappens when you connect to God
the Father yourself as a son andteach your sons and daughters to
connect to God the Father.
And they get that same blessingnot only through you, but from

(11:43):
God the Father to them.
And that brings incrediblehealing to our children,
especially today with all of thecrazy gender dysphoria that's
going on in the world.
And gender dysphoria happensbecause, you know, they we well,

(12:04):
we we've had a couple see whatshakes out after the election,
but we've had a a group ofpeople who, whatever their
motivations, and I won't just, you know, demonize them.
I mean, they the truth of thematter is that we can't give
away what we've not received.
So you can't expect from abroken political person to be a

(12:29):
full-on follower of Jesus andthen hold them to that standard.
We want all of them to be thatway.
And the, you know, governmentscome and go, but the truth of
the matter is there's no morepowerful uh people in the world,
in God's economy.
Number one place of authorityand power are moms and dads.

(12:50):
That's why he made Adam and Eve.
He didn't make government first,he didn't make the church first.
The church is in service to thefamily.
And the government's supposed tobe in service to the church and
the family, with laws to protectthem, not to ever become number
one or number two.

(13:12):
And I think anyway, UnitedStates of America, we have a
possibility, you know, for that, you know, really get the order
being put back in.
And who did it?
It wasn't the current president.
You know, people can take creditof things, but God is the one
who ultimately chooses theleader.
He chose Biden and Harris.

(13:33):
They were our leaders here inAmerica.
And God decided to chooseanother political ticket.
You might be wounded, you mightbe processing.
Well, here's the deal.
If our identity is in politics,I want to just kind of you know
tie this off.
In the political person we votedfor, well, then if our candidate

(13:56):
won, we feel really good aboutour future.
If they lost, we might befearful.
Well, that means our identity isin the wrong thing.
But if our identity is in theLord Jesus Christ and the Father
of Glory who spoke, let there belight, and there was light.
If that's the one who's thecenter of your heart, long after

(14:19):
the elections come and go, you, your family, your children will
shine as lights in a dark world.
And that's our hope.
Amen.
Somebody give me a high five andsay amen.
Send me a comment.
I'd love to hear from you andwhat we're doing.
Let me get back to the commentsection.

(14:41):
And so thank you.
Amen.
Let's go, Justin.
Thank you from Montana.
Montana is a great place to ridehorses, herd cattle, find coal,
find gold.
It's an incredible place forfamily.
Have a lot of great friendsthere.
And so we're going to get backto that scripture I started with

(15:02):
is I took you on a little minirabbit trail, but that's just
kind of the way my brain works.
Thanks for hanging with me.
But Jesus said, I won't leaveyou as orphans.
That word for orphans is alsotranslated fatherless, but I
will come to you.
That's his promise for you andfor me.
That's how he does that.

(15:22):
So how does he do that?
Well, I remember being at UCLAwatching my daughter graduate,
and there were just, you know, there were thousands of parents
in the stands.
And up there was the graduates.
And my daughter was one of thefew blondes left there at UCLA.

(15:45):
And it was the science and youknow, pre-med and and all that,
that in engineering, that's whatthe graduation was about because
it's such a big school.
And so there was a sea of peoplefrom all over the world.
I just wonderful.
And, you know, as a, you know,as their their student went up

(16:06):
to receive their diplomas, theywould, you know, jump up and the
parents would would cheer fromdifferent places, some louder
than others.
And all of a sudden, I got atext from my daughter.
I put it here in the slide.
Daddy, do you see me?
Right?

(16:26):
And she's sitting there andshe's waving her cell phone.
And when I heard that question, that question that, by the way,
every child asks, Jill and Iresponded by jumping down like
crazy fans.
I mean, we were, I think, well,I'm a big kind of vulturous guy.
I think they thought Yeti sortof showed up from the woods with

(16:49):
the roar that came out of me.
And you know, jumping up anddown.
And when my daughter, when mydaughter saw us cheering, she
just started laughing.
And the look on her face wassomething I'll never forget.
You see me, Dad.
You're here.
And it just occurred to me inthat moment.

(17:10):
It's the same look, beloved, that our heavenly father wants
to see on our faces when werealize that he sees us and is
cheering for us.
See, when you when youunderstand, welcome, Travis,
welcome, Chris or Sharon, whenyou realize that God the Father

(17:35):
is in the stands cheering youon, he's actually in the
ultimate stands, he's on thethrone of heaven with his son
and and the Holy Spirit.
But when you understand that heis cheering you on, and the
reason why he's able to do thatis that he sent his son to give

(17:56):
you this incredible newbeginning so that you would know
what it's like to be loved theway his son was loved when he
walked on the earth.
That's just such a powerfulthing.

(18:17):
You know, the blessing of thefather, of our father's love, it
really allowed Jesus to livefrom his father's love rather
than trying to earn his father'slove.
Boy, that's powerful, isn't it?
How many of you have tried toearn your dad's love by just
doing it right?

(18:39):
And you don't feel like you'rethere because you're you're
broken.
See, Jesus lived a life that wasonly possible through the loving
gaze and affirmation of thevoice of his father.
That's why he went out in themorning to be with his father

(18:59):
when it was still dark.
He was tuning in his heart andhis ears to the voice of his
father to lead him so he coulddo what the father's doing all
day long.
And so he lived for that.
He he loved living in thepleasure of his father.

(19:19):
And that's why healing wasn'timpossible because he knew he
didn't have to produce thepower.
All he had to do is find outwhat the father was doing with
the person he's praying for.
Even raising Lazarus from thedead, he lifted his head and
prayed to his father.

(19:42):
What I, you know, dad, what areyou doing here?
And he saw it, he knew what hisfather wanted to do, and he
called out his friend Lazarus.
And he walked out of a tomb.
See, the more you can connect toto your your own relationship as
a son or a daughter to a father,it'll equip you with all that

(20:06):
you need to be the father yourchildren need you to be, to be
the man or the woman that God'scalled you to be.
Be the husband or wife thatGod's called you to be, even if
your partner's still flawed,still broken.
By the way, we all are.

(20:28):
The grass is never greener onceyou say I do.
It's always the best.
It's greener right here whenChrist is head of what you're
doing.
And I think it's just a powerfulthing.
Welcome, Christopher, to ourchannel tonight.
And not only that, you know, yeah, there's this picture

(20:51):
incredible, you know, picture ofJohn the Baptist that's you
know, uh of Jesus beingbaptized.
And it's such a powerful, youknow, kind of testimony that
flows right out of the blessingof his father.
That that moment when, you know, the Holy Spirit is baptizing

(21:15):
Jesus in this river.
I'm baptizing you here in theriver, turning it's it's this
incredible scripture in themessage, turning your your old
life in for a kingdom life.
The real action comes uh next.
The main character in this dramacompared to him.
I'm just merely a stage.

(21:36):
And this John the Baptist uhtalking, will ignite the kingdom
life within you, a fire withinyou, the Holy Spirit within you
from the inside out.
He's gonna clean house, he'sgonna make a clean sweep of your
lives, Matthew saying in thescripture.
He'll place everything true inhis proper place before God,

(22:00):
everything false he will put outwith the trash to be burned.
You know what's so powerfulabout that for you and I is the
whole work of sanctification.
When we become more and morelike Christ, when we're yielding
to his word of God and he'schanging, he's the one who shows

(22:21):
you what needs to be changed inyour life.
Welcome, Arthur.
He's the one who points out andgives you the grace and the
power to change.
And when you're the one who'strying to get something out of
your life, you ever strugglethrough that where I remember my

(22:42):
early days of being a Christian?
I was like, okay, I don't wantto lust anymore.
I'm in college, which I'm ayoung single guy.
So it's like I'm gonna, allright, Lord, keep my mind pure,
keep my mind pure, keep my mindpure.
So I'm focusing all day long andnot trying to be lusty, which is
I was complete failure.

(23:04):
I wasn't bringing it to theLord.
I was trying to prove myself toGod that I could have a pure
mind.
The only thing that does is thatmakes us enter this religious
works life that has no power.
The only way for our mind to becleaned and our mind to have
those things broken in us iswhen we honestly are able to

(23:25):
say, Father, I can't stop doingthis.
I need you.
Come into my life, Jesus, andheal this deep thing in me that
just keeps popping its head up.
I I gotta tell you a storymyself.
I don't share this too often.
Is that one of my finer moments?
So you get to uh actually uhlisten in on one of those those

(23:51):
moments.
So I I was talking about lust, and and so I was I tried to be
really careful when I was incollege because I didn't want
any little eds running around.
So I got saved, and you know, immediately the guy who led me
to Christ invited me to uh starta a ministry on our campus that

(24:14):
started to really grow.
I mean, it really went from justa couple of people to well over
125 every month at our meetings, and and God was using me to lead
people to Christ.
And so I'd share Christ withthem, and God was, it was just
it was an incredible time.
But I had this girl, and I won'tmention her name in case she

(24:36):
watches this.
I don't want to embarrass her.
She probably already told herhusband this story.
But we were in a physics classtogether, and she was really
cute, and so I invited her backto come to my room to study.
And by the way, my wife alreadyknows this, so uh don't be
shocked.

(24:56):
And so, anyway, as it happened,we got to my room and there was
kind of a connection, and thenext thing we know, we had some
clothes coming off, and I jumpedon my bunk with her to, you
know, just kind of fool around.
And my Bible was open on mypillow, and I hit my face on my

(25:21):
pillow, and on my Bible.
I went screw, and it's like theBible hit me right in the face,
so now I'm looking at the Bible, totally confronted by the Lord,
and I looked at her and I said,I'm so sorry.
You know, I'm supposed to beacting like a Christian.

(25:43):
Uh, God's just convicted mehere.
You're gonna make so manyincredible wife one day, and we
and we should we should you knowput our clothes back on.
And so we did.
And and uh I shared with herabout Jesus and how I met
Christ, and she gave her life toChrist, and she repented with me

(26:05):
and prayed and asked Christ inher life.
And I looked at her and I said,Look, we got a tradition in our
Christian ministry that youknow, every every, you know,
every meeting we get together, somebody gets up and tells her
testimony.
Could you please not get up andtell anybody how you met Jesus?

(26:27):
Until we get off our campus, because you know, I'm supposed
to be like the leader of thisgroup.
I just totally blew it.
And she smiled at me.
She goes, Okay, I promise.
So anyway, towards the end ofthe of that year, my senior
year, we really grew as campusministry.
And I met her when I was ajunior.
And and so sure enough, one ofthe guys who was the pastor in

(26:52):
charge from a church says, youknow, we've never had well,
we'll say her name's Julie,which isn't Julie has never
shared with anybody how she meteither.
You know, I mean to tell you, Iwas red as a bee.

(27:13):
I was red as a bee.
And I went, okay, all right,Lord, everything that's gonna be
hidden is gonna be revealed.
And so she gets up there and shebegins to share about well, I
don't want to mention this name, but a certain person in this
university, a football player,we sort of started getting

(27:37):
frisky and took some of ourclothes off and jumped on his
bed, he hit his face on hisBible, he felt guilty, and he
shared the love of Jesus withme.
And the whole room looked rightat me.
I mean, everybody.
I was sitting there just going,oh, oh, I I said I'm guilty.

(28:00):
I never done it since, but Idid, I did, I I did, and they I
they were laughing.
I was not laughing hysterically.
And boy, I got I got got by theLord because he wanted to do
something in my life.

(28:21):
I he had you know at in thoseearly days been been convicting
me and trying to lead me intosomething else, and then the
Lord allowed the ultimatediscipline to come.
And here's something that'sthat's incredibly merciful of
God.
And you've probably seenChristian leaders who have been

(28:44):
publicly caught doing somethingthey shouldn't.
And or maybe you have.
And you know, any disciplinethat God brings from heaven on
on this side of eternity iscalled mercy.
It's his goodness to exposewhat's broken, so that gives us

(29:07):
an opportunity to repent and behealed.
And so what's been happening inthe church these last years, and
with leaders who've been caught, and and you might be
disappointed in that a churchleader you knew fell into sin,
and you you know, maybe made youbackslide yourself or run away
from God.
That it was God's mercy for thatperson.

(29:30):
Or those times when God'sconvicted you about something or
exposed something in you, it'shis mercy.
Because on this side of heavenit's mercy, but on the other
side, when we face him one dayin eternity, it's not mercy,
it's going to be judgment.
And so it's God's mercy thatopens up places in us, part of

(29:52):
his love to change those thingsin us by revealing to us.
And here's the great thing aboutGod's love and his confrontation
of things that are broken in usis that with conviction he gives
us the power to change repentand change and to have a new

(30:16):
beginning see God doesn't justconvict us so that he can prove
how much he hates sin.
God convicts us because he lovesus and he wants to give somebody
a new beginning.
So in the in the midst of the ofwhat's going on politically in

(30:40):
our country and you know this isthis is a tremendous opportunity
for us to love people that maybehave acted like our enemies or
maybe we've treated them likeenemies.
And and I just I just want toremind you kind of just I feel
like the Holy Spirit is just uhleading me to say this to you.

(31:03):
It's that have the same hearttowards those who get exposed in
their own brokenness with thesame love and mercy that God
gave to you.

(31:23):
And and there's a lot there's alot of people that I've talked
to and they're they're reallyexcited about the discipline
they see coming to the maybe theDemocratic party I don't see it
that way I see I think it'smercy.
And I think it's mercy for ustoo I I think that God's trying

(31:46):
to to heal something profoundlybroken in our country in our
world and our security doesn'tcome from the people that we
elect our security comes fromthe king we put our hope in our
Jesus and so I want to encourageyou and I wasn't really planning

(32:09):
on talking about this but isthat I want you to remember the
times where God has exposedsomething in you that you didn't
want anybody else to know aboutand how gracious he was and how
loving he was and how he didn'tshame you.

(32:30):
Now you might have shamedyourself you might even have had
somebody who modeled thatdiscipline in a wicked way that
spiked the football on you orwants your harm wants you to pay
the price but that's not thatway with God.

(32:55):
See he took all the anger hetook all the frustration he took
you know all the all thejudgment that we deserved and he
put it on his son on the crossso completely that when we go to

(33:15):
him and ask for forgiveness theresponse back from him towards
us is absolute love and mercyand forgiveness Jesus bought the
rights to our forgiveness sothat we could receive it
mercifully and I want toencourage you with friends that

(33:38):
you know that are hurting to tolove them to do good to them to
not spike the football torejoice in I think a reprieve
for our our country anyway ifyou're outside of our country
you've probably been watchingthis and to stand up in

(34:00):
righteousness and be the kind offather and mother that your
children really need you to be.
Your kids are watching this aswell.
So I think that's helpful.
Give me a comment if that'stouching anybody on that and
we'll kind of get back to what Iwanted to share with you because
I I have a bunch more if youwant to hang with me and it's

(34:24):
all about how much that Godreally does love and I'm going
to show that to you and soanyway you know all of this kind
of comes through and I tell youwhat I'm going to do I'm gonna

(34:46):
I'm gonna jump a little aheadbecause you guys are like at the
head of a class here and I'mgonna share with you a section
from my book.
If you've not read my book it'sit's called the father you've
always wanted and if you've notgotten a copy you can get it
from our website it's out ofprint right now on Amazon but

(35:10):
would love for you to have thatI'm holding it up and I'm not
letting you see it.
Here we go there we go and andI'm gonna encourage you to get
this if you're a gal this is atremendous book for a gal study
or men's study uh as well andwell welcome Ben and and so it

(35:31):
comes from this section you knowin my book that felt really
compelled to share with you aswell tonight and it's this whole
idea of a thing called the danceof love.
And uh Timothy Keller who's oneof my one of favorite preachers
out there and he describes theuh the perfect love of the

(35:56):
Father uh between the father theson and the Holy Spirit he calls
it the dance of love and and andhe writes before the earth was
created throughout all ofhistory and into eternity
without end there's been a waltzof love within the Trinity and
it's a picture of the love thatthe father has for his son and

(36:21):
the love that the son has forhis father and the love that the
father and the son had for theHoly Spirit and the Holy
Spirit's love and in response tothe father and the son and he
calls it this dance of love.
And he goes on and and actuallyI write that in in this book in

(36:44):
that so when the father says heloves us our context of that
love is the way the father sonand spirit of love each other
for eternity I don't know if youever thought about that but the
context of the way he loveswithin the Trinity God loves

(37:06):
within the Trinity is thecontext of the way he wants you
and I to experience his love andgives us at the end of his
prayer in John 17 verse 24 justshares this incredible nugget
there and he says Father I wantthose that you've given me to be

(37:27):
with me where I am in otherwords I want all those that are
watching right now to add onlinein 2024 on the 12th of November
I want them to be where I amthat sweet spot that they may

(37:47):
see my glory the glory you havegiven me now he describes how
that glory came to him becauseyou loved me before the creation
of the world so themanifestation of the glory of
God on Jesus that people freelysaw was the impact of the

(38:14):
eternal love of God the Fatheron him and the love of the son
back towards his father and theHoly Spirit it was the it was
the dance of the Trinity andthat we we see that picture when
Jesus is baptized and andthere's all three people persons
of the Trinity there.

(38:34):
There's a voice of the Fatherthat's there that says this is
my beloved son and and whom Ilove it's the Holy Spirit
descending upon the son as he'scoming out of the water in
worship and empowering him withall the power that he needs to
to to live out that story.
And it's a the living son of Godresponding to his father and the

(38:58):
Holy Spirit right there in thewater is John is baptizing them.
It was a picture of the dance oflove that I'm thinking that
could be a great painting oneday.
Hold me to it incredible picturethat God paints there.
And he goes on there and and sowhen you think about those three

(39:21):
powerful things about God's lovethere's three things that just
stuck out to me when I saw thatnumber one is that his love is
eternal.
So there was no beginning or endto God's love in the Trinity
God's always been a lovingFather.

(39:41):
Jesus has always been a lovingson.
The Holy Spirit has always beena loving Holy Spirit that takes
from the Father and Son anddeposits into our life and in
all the gifts and the even thegifts of love are being being
transferred and put inside of usso it didn't start when you were
born or when you first didsomething good to earn it.

(40:06):
Instead the father is always nowget this the father has always
loved you I started thinkingabout that that just started
blowing my mind he's alwaysloved us and and and not only

(40:28):
that the verse goes on whenJeremiah was a teenager when the
voice of God the Fatherinterrupts his walk with these
words he says before I I formedyou in the womb I knew you I
appointed you as a prophet tothe nations I mean in other
words there's never been a beena time in the history when you

(40:53):
have not been on the mind of Godis that the way you treat God's
love towards you he has alwaysloved you with the same eternal
love that was present in theTrinity that's the the nature of
relationship that that God cameto build for you.
It was his love that allowed hisson to go and die on the cross

(41:16):
for God so loved the world hegave his only son that whoever
would believe in him would notperish but have everlasting life
that's what God does for you andthat's what God does for me.
And second his love is what hasdesigned you perfectly for your

(41:39):
destiny who he's called you tobe because he created you in his
love you you can't be a mistake.
Remember when I I first startedto understand that I didn't have
to change myself to receive moreof God's love I didn't have to
like become holy in the thingsthat I did that God makes me

(42:03):
holy because I receive him yousee because even if your mom and
dad conceived you out of wedlockor your dad took off when you
were young or he was killed inaction like my dad was or you
were told that you would neveryou should have never been born

(42:24):
there is nothing mistaken aboutyour life gosh I can't tell you
how many people I've met whoseparents actually said I wish you
had never been born well theproblem is it wasn't enough to
them I mean sure they gottogether and participated but

(42:48):
God has been waiting for thearrival of you forever you've
never not been in the mind ofGod that's what he said to
Jeremiah before you were born Iknew you that's why babies in

(43:11):
the womb are whole people youknow I I wish that the church
would that we would actuallycelebrate our real birthday I
mean we were the the day wherewhen conception happened that's
when you were born on earth butyou were born in God's heart for

(43:34):
eternity and then when you'rewhen you come out and you have
your going out party you'reactually you know nine months
old because your body is youknow is growing and completely
functioning and it's the bodythat he knew you would have with

(43:55):
the gifts and everything thathe's made you for perfectly so
you can't be a mistake becauseif he he's he wants to give us
share his love for us the way heloved one another in Trinity
number two through his love hecreated you so you can't be a
mistake and and so it goes onyour design came even before

(44:22):
your parents' birth you wereperfectly made by God your
ethnic background your giftsyour physical design the the
year of your hist the the yearin history you were born all
this has been on the eternalmind of God from the moment even
of your first breath God's lovehas been pursuing you I mean the

(44:49):
the the birth of Christ uh thethe the the perfect location in
the heart of God the father forMary and Joseph to be in a
manger and the incredible storyof his birth and how God
protected him and with all thewickedness that Herod tried to

(45:11):
rain down and now yeah your lifehow you came into the world it
could have been a crazy thingfor your mom but he's been
pursuing you and that thatpursuit of you leads into the
third thing about God's love isthat the intensity of God's love

(45:33):
towards us is measured by theway the Trinity loves one
another not by our definitionsof love.
The Bible says the Father lovesthe son extravagantly of course
he does he turned everythingover to him so he could give it
away a lavish distribution ofgifts that is the same

(45:57):
extravagant love that God hasfor us that God has always had
for us he always will becauseGod's love isn't defined by our
models of love but by hisperfect model and that's
powerful for me when I thinkabout it and so kind of tying

(46:23):
this together tonight and and Ilove this this next question.
So the big question here's a bigquestion big kahuna question
tonight is so what would you bea different dad or mom right now

(46:43):
if you allowed yourself to beloved that way would you be a
different person if you wereloved by the way God loves you
and learn to really receive thatfor yourself what would change
everything changes it changesbecause his love will change our

(47:05):
life for God so loved the worldhe gave his only son that
whosoever would believe in himwouldn't die in their sin but
have eternal life you know whateternal life is is 247 living in
the presence and the love andthe power of God's love it's

(47:29):
eternal.
And so and that's what happenedto me and we'll kind of close
with this verse and then Paulwrites to the church's Ephesus
so you beloved that you and mebeing rooted I love this picture
and grounded in in love may youhave the strength to comprehend

(47:56):
with all the saints what is thebreadth the length the height
the depth of God's love and toknow the love of Christ that
surpasses knowledge.
It's so big it just ismind-blowing that you may be
filled with all of the fullnessof God that's what he wants you

(48:21):
to know that's what he wants meto know that we want to know the
the width the height the depththe the the love of God in
Christ towards us and you canalways tell when somebody's a
receiver of God's love becausethey're incredibly gracious and

(48:42):
they're quick to forgive becauselove covers a multitude of sin.
They're not easily offendedbecause they realize that
anything that they have in theirlife has been given to them by a
loving God and Father.
And so they're quick to lovetheir enemies or they're quick
to do good to those whopersecute them because that's

(49:08):
God's way in us.
Because if if God be for us youknow the Bible says then who can
really be against us powerfulstuff.
So kind of in conclusion the thefullness of God's love is found
in the Heavenly Father whoblesses you the Son who saves

(49:33):
you and the Holy Spirit whoempowers you to love others like
he has loved you even peoplefrom the opposite political
party that's the only truecontext in which we can
understand God's love and fromwhich we can love and bless each

(49:53):
other.
And so kind of in summary hislove for you is eternal his love
designed you perfectly for yourdestiny and his love for you is
is measured by the intensity ofthe love of the Father between
the love of the father and theson and the Holy Spirit the love

(50:14):
of the Trinity and so thequestion then comes to bear how
much more of his love do youwant tonight?
How much more of his grace doyou want tonight?
I'm here to tell you you canhave as much as you want because

(50:37):
he loves giving to us he lovesblessing us and so there are
resources and then we're goingto pray together you can go to
