When Evil Lurks is a hidden gem of a possession movie. Taking the form of a rotten, zombie-looking individual that is festering away in a small village, evil is at work. The film features two brothers as the leads who try to protect their families at all costs given the lack of information about the evil force at hand, but end up unintentionally making the lives of everyone around them worse. The film explores the relationship of the supernatural with children and effectively presents a new entry into possession and undead films that hasn't been seen before.
