Meet Ashley Jones, the South Carolina Legislative Chair for Moms for Liberty.  She is a grandmother of nine and a fierce advocate for parental rights. She believes that change starts with one person and that no concern is too small to speak up about.  If it troubles you, it’s likely troubling another parent too.

From navigating the state’s political divides to addressing the fact that South Carolina allows children as young as 14 to medically consent without a parent, she shares hard-earned lessons about leadership, resilience, and purpose. She reminds us that while politics can be messy, a child’s safety, well-being, and right to be raised by their parents should never be political.

Her “why” has evolved from simply protecting her grandchildren to preventing future regret.  Ashely knows that if more parents had spoken up 20 years ago, we might not face today’s challenges. She urges parents to get involved now, because children are always watching and learning from our actions.

She also offers a simple first step to making a difference: show up, volunteer in your child’s school, read to a class, substitute teach, or connect with your local Moms for Liberty chapter. The ripple effect begins the moment you take that first step.
