31. Nice Marines - Vanus Liberated? Pt 1

The Flashing Badger Podcast proudly presents Nice Marines, a grimdark sci-fi comedy RPG where diplomacy, paperwork, and feelings matter more than boltguns and explosions. Gordon GMs as Mike, Fitz, and Wegs take on the roles of legally-distinct Space Marines deployed to the newly conquered planet of Vanus.

Instead of waging war, these genetically engineered warriors must focus on civil rebuilding, parades, and the delicate art of impressing civilians. Of course, things don’t go according to plan. Brother Torvak Bloodreap (Mike) hosts parades but fails to grasp human humour, Brother Sergeant Mal Function (Wegs) excels at fixing machines but can’t understand sadness, and Brother Lucilius Truthsayer (Fitz) protects civilians but literally cannot tell a lie.

The result? A blend of grimdark absurdity, slapstick tragedy, and misplaced heroism as the Nice Marines attempt peacekeeping, diplomacy, and rebuilding… all while accidentally causing even more chaos. If you enjoy Warhammer 40k parodies, dark sci-fi humour, and roleplay gone completely off the rails, this is the campaign for you.
