three sale? Is it a transformer? At three? Is in
the area code? Coming up this summer, I'll give you
my thoughts on Gail King's journey into space and a
(00:56):
possible spit off who a beloved the nineties classic. You're
listening to Giant Robot Radio right here on the Forecast
Media Podcast Network. Let's power it up. So have you
heard about the Blue Origin spacecraft crew? Now Blue Origin
(01:22):
that is a space program that is being ran by
Jeff Bezos and the founder of Amazon saying that this
guy has a lot of money and the point of
Blue Origin is to test the ability of getting waste
(01:49):
and getting it off planet and putting it into the
PoID of space to better the planning. So this test
rocket crew, I believe it's the first time that you
had an all female spacecraft crew. Now your crew for
(02:15):
this mission included Jeff Bezos fiance Lauren Sanchez. You have
CBS This Morning host Gail King. You have former NASA
(02:36):
rocket scientists Aisha bo. You have scientists Amanda Guyan, film
producer Carrie Anne Flynn, and singer Katie Perry. The Shuttle
was in space around eleven to fifteen minutes before returning
(03:08):
to Earth, and some people were critical of the mission
set up, citing that the missions from the rocket were
(03:30):
bad for the planet, even though the mission of Blue
Origin is to try to repair the planet somewhat. There
have been vocal critics that say that the money spent
(03:50):
for this rocket ship can be used for research and
science planet side. But I don't think one has to
come at the cost of the other. Regardless of what
(04:14):
you may think of Gail King's hosting abilities or Katie
Perry's singing abilities, there's going to be a small child
that's looking at all this and might think, Hey, I
want to go into aeronautics. I want to go into robotics.
(04:39):
I want to go into space exploration and they may
create the next great satellite that tells us about our
planet and just find out different, more efficient ways of
(05:04):
communicating on the planet. There was a picture of Katy
Perry kissing the ground like you were in space for
fifteen minutes. Like it just being a little bit dramatic,
but again it was a cute picture. But in any case,
(05:34):
were you familiar with the Blue Origin space flight crew
and if you had an extra one hundred and fifty
thousand extra millions sitting around, would you like to be
part of one of these private Space Shuttle mission crews.
(05:58):
I'm just glad that they got back. Say just between
the astronauts that were stratted in space and all the
helicopters and airplanes we've had malfunctioning, I'm just glad everybody
got back safely. But in any case, would you like
to go into a space mission if you had the
(06:22):
time and the money, Hit me up on Twitter at
Soundwave eight o three. Of course you can always email
me at more Phenomenal at gmail dot com. We can
discuss now. For the best in sports analysis, check out

Doc Lil John and of course the Mario Washington. Right now,
I'm gonna give you my take on the sporting world.
Now Malaysia for you know, she's one of the star
players for the University of South Carolina women's basketball team.
(07:08):
She has decided to enter the transfer portal. And I
believe this is the first that I've heard of a
major defection from one of Don Staley's teams. You know,
we've seen a lot of them play out their time
with the game Cocks and then going to the WNBA,
(07:33):
But this is the first major player that we've seen
defect and decide to go somewhere else to finish their
college athletic journey. Now, there's a do not contact request
on Malaysia's behalf, so we will find out at some
(08:05):
point where her new destination is going to be. Now
I'm wondering is it a playing time concern or is
it a nil concern. Yeah, I thought she was gonna
stick it out at USC considering she's from Columbia and
(08:31):
playing in Columbia. But this will be a chance forer
to spreader wings and try out a new location. Now
in the world of Golf. The Masters tournament was held
recently in Augusta, Georgia, and Rory McIlroy is your twenty
twenty five champion. He's the one putting on the green
(08:53):
jacket and he now has the career Grand Slam. That's
one win at each of the major golf tournaments during
the year. That's British Open, PGA Championship, the US Open
(09:16):
and the Masters. So Rory McElroy joins an elite group
of golfers including Jean Sarrazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack
Nicholas and Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods, he got the Grand
(09:44):
Slam done in three years. It took Rory McElroy fourteen
years just to show that sometimes success takes a little longer,
but you gotta keep striving if you want to get
that goal checked off your list. In any case, what
(10:11):
is your big takeaway from the sports world? Hit me
up on Twitter at Soundway eight o three. Of course,
can always email me at more Phenomenal at gmail dot com.
We can discuss coming out next More Giant Robot Radio
right here on the Forecast Media podcast Network. What's going on, peace,
(10:34):
You're listening to Giant Robot Radio right here on the
Forecast Media podcast network now Sunday Nights and Thursday Nights
in the nineties had a lot of laughter because of
the sitcom Martin Sorry, Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell and
(11:02):
Toshina Arnold. Now there's the plan to have a spin
off from a minor character, but a pretty important character
in the history of the Martin Show. Tommy Davidson. He
(11:25):
played the character of Varnell Hill. He was a nationally
syndicated talk show host and visited Martin at radio show
one time, and Martin got the bright idea of going
(11:46):
out to get on the Varnell Hill Show and it
met a lot of interesting celebrity impersonators during that journey.
Now there's a plan to do a show around the
(12:08):
Varnell Hill character because you know, played by Tommy Davidson
is going to go to BT Plus. It's being created
by Tommy Davidson and Martin Lawrence and it does sound interesting.
You know, it's the behind the scenes look at a
(12:31):
talk show, you know, very similar to The Office. You know,
the Gary Shandling Show if you ever watched that on
HBO back in the day. Of course, you know Space
Ghost Coast to Coast on cartoon network Adult Swim. If
you ask most fans of Martin what their favorite episode
(12:56):
is or some of their favorite episodes, that Varnell Hill,
you know, Hollywood Swing Part one and part two is
usually considered one of their favorites. And it could be
interesting looking at somebody who was a big time talk
show host back in the day and now trying to
(13:20):
maintain relevance and employment in a rapidly changing media environment. Now,
this initial order is for an eight episode run. It's
(13:41):
going to be on BT Plus, so you have that
streamer you'll be able to see this show when it
comes out. Now, I'm concerned it's been thirty something years
since the Martin sitcom was running on Fox and you're
(14:10):
trying to do a spin off. And again, this is
a classic episode fans favorite, but again, you saw Varnell
Hill the one time that was pretty much it. So
you're trying to do a spin off from a minor
character from thirty something years ago. I would be very
(14:38):
interested in who's going to be on the supporting cast.
Tommy Davison is super funny, always brings it when he's
on camera, But again, you gotta have a good team
(15:03):
to work with you, but who knows. If it's successful,
we might actually get that Martin sitcom reboot we've been
asking for for quite a while. So the Varnale Hills Show.
Is that something you would be interested in watching? And
(15:23):
what is your favorite show or movie from Tommy Davidson?
Hit me up on Twitter at Sundwave eight oh three.
Of course, could always email me at more Phenomenal at
gmail dot com. We can discuss, you know, with Easter
(15:46):
right around the corner. You know, every year, I usually
watch The Ten Commandments on television, you know, one of
my mom's favorite, so it's one of my aunt's favorite,
and you know, I try to catch that first half
or the back half, you know, the movie starring Charleston Heston,
(16:09):
and the effects still hold up pretty well considering the
movie is decades old at this point, almost seventy years.
A lot of the preachers call Easter Resurrection Sunday because,
(16:33):
you know, celebrate the death but also the resurrection of Jesus,
you know, the fulfillment of the Scripture to bring life
to people who follow the teachings of the Bible. But
(16:58):
too many of us act as if we're going to
have a resurrection. We have one life and we have
to be careful with it. And saw video the other
day of rapper t K. You know, he did a
(17:20):
song called the Race and he got said this in
eighty years for his partner, murder somebody who's trying to rob.
And then he got Louisiana State football player Kyrien Lacey.
(17:41):
You know, they're saying he was supposed to go into
the NFL draft, but you know they're saying he ended
his life, you know, trying to deal with the mental
actor effects of being in that accident that took someone's life,
(18:07):
and all was reading also about the four young ladies
that were on a night out on the town and
you know, the driver was under the influence and all
(18:28):
four of them lost their lives. And you know there
were twenty one you know, had their own lives ahead
of them. And you know, you see so many up
and comers just not being careful and living reckless. And
(18:50):
you got one life. There's no extra lives, there's no respawn,
there's no due over. And even if you do believe
in reincarnation, you won't be coming back to the life
that you're currently living with your friends and family and
(19:15):
loved ones. So just a message to the people. There
is no resurrection for us. We get one life and
we have to be careful with it and make good choices.
And the choices that you make can affect you and
(19:39):
the people that you love. So if you are so inclined,
check out the forecast media family of shows. You've got
to Throw Up Tackle with Doctor Little John, of course,
(19:59):
the Mario Washington. You've got your good old boys radio show,
Black Trump, Two Kittles, Grand Wiz, and The Mario Washington.
You know, we have our interview show Stop Looking Listen
with Troy Gardner, and we also have new and classic
(20:21):
episodes of The Rainbow Bridge and The Unemployment Line with
Dot Larry B and May Shock. Thank you one and
all for listening, and until next time, love, live and learn.
I'm out of here, peace,
