Dr Bill Harris is as internationally recognised expert on the omega 3 and heart disease, which make him one of the best people in the world to have this conversation with. Omega 3’s are not often considered on a normal blood panel but I think there is a strong case as to why they should be. There is a reason why many countries across the world recommend multiple servings of oily fish per week and that is primarily due to their omega 3 content. From cardiovascular health, to brain health, to reducing systemic inflammation, omega 3’s at the right dose and levels seem to have a range of potential benefits.
Bill kindly humoured my respectful challenge on the omega 3: omega 6 ratio debate. A highly contested topic on the internet today.
In this fascinating conversation we touch upon:
How omega 3s can enhance your healthspam
The optimal dose and blood levels of omega 3
The role of omega 3s in human health and heart disease
Deciphering the omega 3: omega 6 ratio debate
The best sources of omega 3
And much more
I was incredibly lucky that Bill and I had the chance to catch -up at the Integrative and Personalised Medicine congress in London and managed to arrange a date for this recording. I hope you get a lot out of this one because I sure did!
